I used Guy’s auto repair for the first time to replace my front brakes recently and it was refreshing to find such kind professionals who got my car in quickly and replaced my front brakes in a matter of hours. Everyone I spoke with was great and I feel like my car’s issues were explained to me clearly, but I was never spoken down to. I would highly recommend for an exemplary service experience.

I had a wonderful experience with these guys, and they treated me with much respect! They answered all my questions and explained everything that was wrong with my car, even though I didnt understand it all; but they were very patient with me! Fixed my car faster than they promised. The communication was great and timely. Professional and courteous. Had in for alternator repair and they caught a small leak in a rear tire that has a previously (poorly done) patch job. Got that fixed quickly too. Car came out much better shape than it went in. Happy with the results and experience. Couldn’t tell you how “price competitive” they are because I did not have the time to shop around. However I would recommend this shop to family and friends.

My car’s engine would shut off when I drive a certain distance. I brought my car in on a Tuesday and it was finished the next day. I also like the fact that this company has good communication skills.I would highly recommend anyone to this auto repair shop.

I can’t say how grateful I am for Guy’s auto Repaire and their excellent customer service. My car broke down about a month ago. It’s an Infiniti G37 convertible, the top wouldn’t close back on. I brought it to a local body shop, but they werent able to fix it probably, they stopped the car computer which ended up draining the battery completely, and caused the car to stop completely. Anyway, I was referred to Guy’s auto repair shop, so AAA towed the car to them. They looked at my car, and diagnosed everything, and within few days, they were able to tell me what’s wrong with the car, and started working on it immediately. They stayed in contact with me and kept updating me for everything they were working on. Finally, the car got fixed, and they did a hard reset to all the codes, and the top is working fine. I can’t say Thank you enough to Mr. Kurt and Guy for their professional work, and excellent customer service. I highly highly recommend their body shop and will always bring my car there if I have any problems in the future. Thank you so much

Guys service and transparency was exceptional. I brought in our 2018 Volkswagen Atlas for an inspection after the engine started malfunctioning. It turns out the water pump and belt needed to be replaced. Everything was explained to me, but I was encouraged to check into seeing whether or not this would be covered by the powertrain warranty. I called the VW dealership in the area, and it turns out it was covered under the warranty. Guys stood to come out ahead by doing the repair on their own, but they chose to be transparent with me, which saved me hundreds of dollars. And which earned them this 5-star review.

The customer service was great and communication with the mechanics were very timely. Everyone seemed really nice and helpful. But I do not recommend this spot to anyone.I recently took my car in because of a check engine light. Unfortunately, it was one issue after another which was going to cost me over $1,000. Instead, the mechanic (who at the time I thought was being very generous), plugged up the leaking valve to allow me to drive the car home safely which I really appreciated. A week later I sold the car to a knowledgeable mechanic. This is what he told me:“When I got your car back to my home the same day about an hour after I bought it from you .... oil pouring out in my driveway all over the place… You would not have believed how much oil was coming out of your car....The mechanic put a red plug on your PCV valve which completely backed up all of your cam seals and blew out all of the seals on your engine and almost ruined your entire engine!This is Engine 101 repair! I actually know a mechanic extremely well who has a shop two doors down from where he operates and he knows that guy very well .... he couldn’t believe that he had done that to your car! I actually brought your car over to his shop to show him personally and he was dumbfounded ...“

I know next to nothing about cars so it means a lot to me to have a shop that is trustworthy. They explain their tests and work plainly and thoroughly. If there is an “on-time” anywhere near the big easy I’d say it’s worth the trip to Metairie to put your mind at ease with guys who do work speedily

I can always trust that my car is repaired correctly. My car is always clean when I get it back and there no surprise charges. Guys has a safe and comfortable waiting area. Everyone is polite, has masks on and social distancing is in place.

I could bring the car in the next day, unlike the VW dealership who said I had to wait two weeks. It is in the upper 90s in New Orleans. Two hours after I brought the car in I received a phone call saying they had determined a leak in the A/C. It is running cold; when the AC starts running warm I should bring the car back in and they can determine where the leak is and fix it. I do not think I was overcharged.Kay Murphy

My car started making noises while being driven. Could tell it was an issue with the tires/axel or something in that area (ie. not an engine issue). I called and was told they were booked up until next week. I mentioned I was concerned that I was ruining something because of the noises it was making. They told me to bring it in and they would drive it to see if they could at least determine what the problem was and help decide if it would wait or not. When I got there the next morning around 8:30, he did a drive with me and said he was pretty certain it was the wheel bearings and I should not be driving it due to how bad it sounded. Went in the office and told me he had a cancellation and could take it that day. I was able to leave it. They performed the work and were done by 3pm. Issue solved and safety covered. Thanks guys!!

I was buying a 2007-2010 Honda CRV AWD. I brought the first one to Guy and he pointed out bad oil leaks.I brought a 2nd vehicle a week later. The car was in good condition bit needed a gasket and 2 tireswhich was regular maintenance with the mileage.Guy performed the work and I am very happy with their service. They are kind and treated me with respect.I highly recommend Guys Foreign and Auto Service.

If youre a single woman looking for a place to take your car, DO NOT GO HERE. Employee Glen and Guy are sweet as pie until they GET YOUR MONEY. Today I picked up my BMW to the tune of $1200 for tests and ignition coils.After leaving the lot and getting 10 miles away, I noticed that my turn signals were not automatically switching off (like they used to BEFORE I brought it in). I called in immediately. I explained my situation, and Glen turned into a monster (was the nicest guy on the planet a day ago), told me I was calling him a liar and that he didnt think I had the money to repair anything else, and claimed that they already knew that was happening. Then he blatantly hung up me.I felt like his remarked were RACIST, DISRESPECTFUL, MISLEADING, and plain rude.I had to call back to speak with the owner, Guy. He had a little more empathy but wasnt much better, oh but he DID offer me the opportunity to bring it back in to get worked in again! Unbelievable.Being a business owner myself, the fact that Guy keeps people like Glen on his staff is one thing; everyone know theres a little shyster in every mechanic, but to defend him and actually expect me to give them MORE money????STAY AWAY. Youve been warned.

I brought in my Chevy trailblazer in to have ignition coils replaced. I stated it went bad while I was sitting at a light idling, 80k low mileage car. Was told would not do anything until it has a full compression check for bad cylinders. Bottom line.. replaced two coils and charge me $600. Was quoted from another shop the following day 575. to replace all six. SHOP YOUR REPAIR AROUND! I got burned.
