I recently had a friend & her mom have a ridiculous problem with the management here. Her mother made a complaint about the air conditioning leaking & a problem with the shower. They said they were going to CHARGE HER $5,000 FOR IT TO GET FIXED!!! Her mother ended up having a conversation with the management about this & the ridiculous price. They ended up KICKING them out of the apartments & now they need to find a new place. Do not come here & waste your money & deal with these awful people.

All I’m gonna say is don’t do it. The office NEVER answers, they take forever to come and fix something minor in the apartment. So yeah DEFINITELY don’t recommend.

I have called and emailed this place many of times without answer for over a week to availability. A friend of mine said he stopped in one day and they had availability but did not respond to anything either. Hopefully they decide to get new leasing personnel. The current regime is definitely costing them more money than they are worth if they can’t respond to numerous calls and emails (during office hours)

I have rarely ever got an answer from the front office. When leaving a message I get no response. My dryer smokes when you use it (FIRE HAZARD) and they ignore my messages and refuse to fix it. I havent had a dryer in over a year. We have had to be bug bombed mutiple times since moving here, matinence marks things as complete when I havent seen them in months. Cars have got broken into multiple times . Would not reccomend this place to my enemies.

I took possession of an apartment last week site unseen and was shocked when I walked in. There are sections of flooring ripped up, there was no effort to clean it. The toilet paper holder and towel rack in the bathroom are ripped off the wall. The lighting I cant reach gives off just a dim glow. Im not feeling all warm and fuzzy at this time.

So let me start with the good! The apartment is actually a really nice size for the price, nice size bedrooms and bathrooms living room and dining room as a good amount of space as well nice overall layout big closets, lots of storage . For the apartment being in the heart of Mesa the complex is very quiet day and night, we have only seen police and the fire apartment less than 3 times and we believed someone close to our apartment was maybe elderly and or had health problems and that’s why they would come at all but we lived in the back side of the apartment where I believe the most action would happen and we had no crime. Ok now to the bad( it’s a long list stick with me) 1st when moving in our apartment was filthy, baby roaches all over the floor, our mirrors in the bathroom were covered in scratches, our carpets had not been vacuumed or cleaned in months, and they gave us our keys when pest control had just sprayed and didn’t advise us to wait a couple of hours. We were very desperate for an apartment and thankful that we were approved somewhere so we cleaned it ourselves( these things were all mentioned in our walkthrough but never taken care of.) There is a roach issue, we found that once we moved in, kept things very clean, and did our own spray every couple of months we would see 1 or 2 a month, we were not ever made aware of pest control thru maintenance but to our fault we never asked and we have kids so we wanted to make sure our spray was as clean as possible. When we did start to use our air conditioner it was leaking aggressively I contacted maintenance several times as well as the office due to my concern with water damage and possible mold, we had someone come out and change the filter once and that’s all that was done. I demanded an HVAC professional due to the amount of water and really due to the concern for mold and was refused due to it being covid( this happened during March-july). I stopped pushing this issue purchased a heavy duty all weather mat and called it a day. Out of several maintenance requests that I have opened 3 have been worked one was the smoke detector, 1 was the filter in the air conditioner and 1 was due to the FRONT DOOR KNOB COMING OFF SO I HAD NO WAY OF GETTING IN AND OUT OF MY APARTMENT. There are things broken all over the apartment that I just had to give up getting fixed after requests were put in with pictures and still un noticed. No one from the office will answer the phone, I have never been in the office or the clubhouse you see pictures of online yet if you don’t pay your rent by 5 pm on the 3rd expect the loudest knock and aggressive notice on your door along with not being able to pay online and having to scramble to get a money order that you have to leave In a drop box because again you can’t go into the office due to covid so you need to hope they receive it. The gate is never closed it’s open 24/7 I never worried because we lived in the back corner and if any situation were to happen we are the furthest from the entrance/exit but people living closer to the gate entrance should be on high alert. Both pools have been closed since we moved in( due to covid) but the water is so nasty by now they should drain it and deep clean it before they decide to open them back up.There is a southwest gate that is broken and never opened so don’t count on that. The final issue that is really the main reason why we are moving is that our apartment has not had constant hot water since December. I have been taking daily Luke warm showers at best, my kids Luke warm baths, we have figured out if you run our kitchen faucet it gets a little warmer but that’s only sometimes. I have emailed the office about this and sent maintenance requests and nothing is ever resolved, the cut off the water mid day usually every other Friday most of the time without notice to “fix it” it does nothing. I’m happy to be leaving the bad does outway the good sadly it’s a cute apartment for the price they just need to work on fixing peoples issues and concerns and not just taking our money.

Applying at this community is a nightmare. They do not communicate with the applicants, I sent emails and left voicemails with no response, if you want to throw away $234 apply here. So disappointing I would never recommend anyone to this community.

I have seriously been trying to get a hold of these people for over a year. They dont answer phone calls no matter what time of day it is, they dont answer emails, they dont fix your maintenance requests. I have put in so so so many requests and they havent come in over a year. Not only that, the requests are marked complete even though they never even showed up to my house, or called me. My dryer smokes, my drawers are literally falling off, our closet doors have not been on in almost 2 years, the roaches are horrendous and then they have the audacity to tell me they will charge me for putting my clothes on my porch to dry. I wouldnt have to do that if you would fix my dryer. They are literal slumlords. They charged me money for not having renters insurance even though I did! When I proved I had it, they never refunded me the money. Now, almost every drawer in my kitchen has fallen apart. They still refuse to answer my phone calls and emails,. Literally dont live here, if there are any positive reviews they are 10000% fake.

Management at Avenue 8 are pleased to present fake smiles & bogus information on how well the property is managed. I’ve been here less than a year & already had 3 major plumbing issues. Cold showers, outdated appliances, management is NEVER presented. Please people, I was warned before I signed my lease. Now I’m warning you. It’s not worth living here.

Ive been here 2 years and I have to say they are one of the worst management companies I had to deal you call for service and no one shows the roaches are so bad I had to get my own resources to get rid of them and the apt was not clean, they wont give you the keys until the end of the day so you cant do a proper walk through, they show you a model of what your apt should look and its nothing like it if you can dont move here.

Review from 12/13/19: Current resident of about 9 months. For the price, 2 stars is fair overall. It’s not the safest part of town. The walls aren’t the thickest, so I can hear my neighbors playing loud music through them and the plumbing from my neighbors taking a shower is pretty loud. Roaches are a problem seasonally. You can usually can get basic repair requests done in 1-3 weeks (usually you have to remind them at least one or two times). The staff is nice and respectful, but there is no communication system for when your request will be fulfilled or even if someone has entered your apartment and fixed the problem or just looked at it. I do not plan to renew the lease for next year most because of the months of requests (at least 5-6 calls or conversations) to fix the roofing leak and the hole in my ceiling. Twice they’ve told me and my roommate that the roofing leak was fixed. Well, it’s rained and third time and it’s not fixed (see pictures below). My recommendation is that if you want substandard service, feel free to pay for substandard service.Update: there’s now a second major leak in the ceiling.Second update (2/14/20): Ceiling/holes are finally fixed. I think start to finish from request to completion of the fix was at least 4 months, but may have been 6 months. I’m still a little wary of the roof leak not being fully fixed (roofers came out at least 3 times to “fix” the leaks), but it seems okay with one day of light rain not creating a new ceiling bubble. I really had to be persistent in getting this done with many phone calls and in person office visits. Nelli at the front office seemed to really step up her game the last week in hiring a vendor because staff got sick last minute and it was scheduled to be patched up. All in all, an expensive process for Avenue 8 and a taxing project I had to lead the management of that took much longer than is reasonable. If you rent here, just be aware of similar expectations.

Do not rent here. I recently moved out, this is my own experience. First, when trying to move in the said the apartment wasnt ready. They asked us to moving in a different date, this is literally the date we were supposed to move in. There was no notification in advance, but they still wanted us to sign the lease thats day and end 1 year from that date. We ended up moving in that same day because we already had all your stuff with us and just waited a few hours till we could move in. That very same night when move our stuff in we saw 3 cockroach. There is a major bug problem. They do have a sprayer however, they gave the man the wrong key multiple times and he was only able to spray when we were there so only once. There was major damages in the apartment its self. When calling and trying to talk to the aparment it look multiple days for them to answer and I called about 8 times a day. They seem to always be out on lunch for hours. You can pay rent online, however mine said I wasnt a resident and I requested it to be fixed 15min that is no exaggeration either. I even when and asked them in the office. It was until covid-19 took place and I went in to pay rent and told them I will be coming in here because Ive requested you to fix my online profile and you never fixed it. THEN, then decided that they would get on that. The was 1month before I moved out. It look 11months for them to fix it. When you go into the office to pay rent only one of the women gives you the receipts the other women say the computer is always down. This is not a gated community, the falsely advertised this. The gate is broken and when I asked about it they said its a cox issue, but it doesnt matter anyway because people crawl under the gate in the corner anyways. They are homeless people everywhere, and the funny thing is the this place had the audacity to raise its rent. Trust me do not rent here.

I moved in 2 months ago and have been very happy here. I had a problem with my air conditioner on a weekend and the tech returned my call within minutes and had it fixed in a couple of hours. All of the people in the office and in maintenance have been very friendly and helpful. I admit on the day we moved in I was not very happy because the apartment was clean but still not move in ready like is should have been (screens that were being replaced still not installed, fixtures that were taken done for painting not re-installed, etc.), but that was done within a week. So far its been quiet and clean. They are not luxury apartments, but still very nice and the size of the apartments for the price is a really good deal.

Do not rent from here. My daughter currently lives here and its a joke. Two weeks after moving in the roof leaked and 3 weeks later they still have not fixed the leak. The ceiling and paint is falling in. Her roommate has had to live in the living room and they have no hot water in either bathroom. She has notified the front office daily and still nothing is fixed. This goes against all Landlord laws. This is not a good place to rent from.

This place is terrible! The maintenance guys have NO RESPECT they do an awful job at fixing stuff in your apartment. They respond to work orders three months later, they enter your apartment WITH NO NOTICE and don’t care if you are home or not; sleeping or awake. They enter like if they own the place and like if the resident has no rights of our so called home. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all!

I have lived in this complex for over 9 years, have seen a lots ups and downs with maintenance and office changes and honestly thought of moving many times until recently when the new company took over and real changes were noticeable. Maintenance requests are getting done quicker, the property looks beautiful, always clean, the dumpsters are not over flown, the gym is a really nice and all machines work and the parking is no longer a problem NOR THE HOT WATER, which it used to be a real pain. I happy here more than ever. Thank you for all the changes, i like what i see so far :) .

I currently live here. I know it’s cheap and big. But it’s not worth it. It’s a terrible neighborhood with junkies all over. On our move-in day we were supposed to have our keys @10am and when I went down to pick them up they told me to wait until 2pm because the cleaners were in there. When I walked in the entire apartment was full of dirt and leaves. It was obvious that nothing had been cleaned that day. Once we started getting moved in we found 2 silverfish in one of the cabinets. And another in the bathroom medicine cabinet. 7 of our outlets are nonfunctional. They’re either too loose to hold any plugs or in the case of both the bathrooms just don’t work at all. We contacted the office to get them fixed. And waited a month. Nothing happened. Then i filed another report and maintenance showed up a week later to fix 2 of them. He said he would be back the next day to finish them off and never showed back up to this day. No bathroom outlets work and we have to run an extension cord from the bedroom to use a hairdryer. Our biggest problem so far has been the AC during June. We came home from work and it was 110* outside and the AC wouldn’t blow out any air. So we checked under the air filter and the AC was covered in ice.I called the maintenance emergency number and they didn’t show up until hours later. So he looked at it and told us there was nothing he could do.He grabbed a portable AC and set it up in the living room. We had to sleep in the living room while the room slowly cooled down and woke up to the SRP box saying we had low power. This thing costs $15 for about 6-10 hours of use. And when it’s not on the apartment heats back up to 90* in an hour. So the next day my girlfriend called off work so she could be home while they fixed the AC. He came in later that morning to check it out. He said he would be back in 30 minutes to check on it and the cycle repeated all day until about 7pm when he said he was gonna blast the heater all night to melt the ice. We had to go sleep at family’s house overnight because it was too hot to stay in.When we got back the next morning and looked at the AC it was covered in even more ice. So he came back and we told him leaving the heater on made it worse. He told us that he’d be back and to just leave the heater on and the cycle repeated again every 30 minutes for the rest of the day. Finally on Sunday he brought a coworker to check it out. The coworker looked at it and chipped the ice off in about 10 minutes and told us that they could have done that on the first day. He had to explain to the original maintenance man how the AC works. So they chipped the ice off and it works 30 minutes later.I sent an email to the office telling them that I wanted to be compensated for the day or two that we couldn’t stay here. They never replied and 3 weeks later we came home from work again to find hot air blowing out through the vents. I called maintenance at about 4:30 and nobody got to our house until 8pm. He just dropped the portable ac off and left. We go most of the day with nothing and when my girlfriend went to the office to ask what was happening she saw a couple of maintenance men talked and they told her that an AC company was coming out the next morning.We went the rest of the day and night with the portable AC which by then had easily cost about $50 to run throughout the month. So the next day we go most of the morning with no word from maintenance or the AC company so we leave to run around and come back at 4 to the AC people just getting there. They fixed it in 30 minutes and we’re happy. I went down to the office multiple times to talk to the manager about reimbursement for my 5 days without air but they were locked or she was gone every time. So I emailed her this morning and for once they got back to me within 5 minutes.I told her I’d like my money taken off for the 4 days and she just told me “it happens to everyone and I can’t give out concessions. We gave you a portable and put in a new unit. There’s nothing I can do.” I got upset and hung up on her and here we are now.

I MOVED IN 3 YEARS AGO AND LOVED IT! EVEN CONVINCED MY 2 SISTERS TO MOVE INTO THE PROPERTY. UP UNTIL MARCH OF THIS YEAR WHEN THEY SOLD THE PROPERTY AND BROUGHT IN NEW MANAGEMENT EVERYTHING WENT TO HELL. WE WENT ALMOST A WHOLE WEEK WITH OUT HOT WATER, SOME DAYS WITH OUT WATER IN GENERAL. CALLED THE OFFICE AND NEVER GOT A ANSWER AS TO WHEN IT WOULD BE FIXED. ROACH INFESTATION IS HORRIBLE, THEY WOULD SEND IN PEST CONTROL MOVE ALL APPLIANCES AND NEVER PUT BACK. RENOVATED? THEY SPRAYED A COAT OF PAINT ON THE BUILDING, ADDED A PLAY GROUND THAT IS NEVER MAINTAINED AND UPDATED THE OFFICE. NOTHING WAS DONE TO APARTMENTS. I HAVE BEEN PAYING 760.00 AND NOW THEY WANT TO RAISE THE RENT BY ANOTHER 100.00 I DONT THINK SO. THE AREA IS CONVENIENT FOR SCHOOL AND WORK BUT THIS PLACE IS DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT ANYMORE. MY LEASE IS UP NEXT MONTH AND CANT WAIT TO BE OUT! MY 2 SISTERS HAVE THEIR LEASE COMING UP TOO AND WILL NOT RENEW EITHER. IF YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY 850 AND UP I RECOMMEND YOU FIND YOURSELF A NICE CONDO THAT IS WORTH THE $$I MUST ADD THAT THE CRIME RATE HAS BEEN OFF THE CHARTS, AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH YOU WILL RUN INTO SWAT TEAMS, CHOPPERS SURROUNDING THE APARTMENTS. Do not recommend living here! Ive lived here for only a year, my lease is finally up tomorrow and we couldnt be any happier! Since the first day we moved in roaches started appearing during the night and havent stopped until this day, as many times as theyve went in to fumigate. There was times where we would come home around 3pm and the water was either shut off completely or no hot water until literally 9pm AND sometimes they wouldnt even leave a notice. There were plenty of times that while showering the water would be warm where I adjust it to and then boiling hot the next second. We moved in with a dirty carpet and yet still expects and wants us to clean it before we leave. We have never struggled living in any apartment complex until now. I mean, dont get me wrong were more than thankful to be able to have a roof over our head, but like seriously? And for the pricing they have now? No thank you.

I dont like that the managers are unprofessional. They can be rude at times and they never explain things correctly. What needs to be fixed in my apartment never gets fixed and I am always told that there are others ahead of me. Till this day, plenty of things in my apartment STILL need to be fixed. Children and adolescents are always walking around the apartments late at night even on school nights. They have a security but somehow my friends car battery was still stolen. I forgot to mention that there are many roaches even if you keep your apartment clean. Resident never pick up dog feces. Would not recommend these apartments. Was a resident since 2012 but moved as of this year.

I give the apartment complex 1 star because its 1100 square feet for under $900.Cons:1. Poor craftsmanship/ my apartment was a rush job. Light fixtures are broken, holes in walls, not screens for windows etc.2. The staff come and go as they please. Never on time to open and they close early. Not helpful at all.3. Walls are very thin. I can hear plumbing all night and cars on the street.I love the space but hate the place

Light fixtures added to brighten some of the darker areas of the complex, led lights fitted on the front of each apartment, for brighter staircase, maintenance is always willing to help, and the manager Michelle is super helpful, with any questions or concerns that I have as a tenant, reading some reviews I saw bugs and bedbugs but I’ve been living here 24 months and I’ve always taken advantage of the free services the property offers like pest control, I’ve never experienced bed bugs or anything of the sort. Really nice property

Do not move here. Ceiling leaking 6 months of my 12 month lease, mold in ceiling which has caused asthma flare ups and extreme allergy issues. Large extra large Roaches from unclean neighbors and Unrepaired water issues. BASKETBALL court has no backboard 12 months of my lease. Neither Pool was available for majority of summer, when it was it was unsanitary. Grounds stink..lots of dog poop and dirt everywhere. Homeless squatters everywhere because gates are open majority of time. They came 8 times to fix washer/dryer been over 6 months and they will not replace 1980 GE set. These apartments are the worst. Maintenance men are overworked with this dilapidated apt complex. MEB MGMT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT RESIDENTS!!

The apartments are not as bad as some say, it my oppion its the lack of respect you get when you ask a question or ask for a time frame from maintenance.Maintenance gentlemen not sure his name wont say his name but he is tall and thin always with the black gentlemen, the two smell like pot. My husband was even asked if he could get them drugs, right in front of my kids, when my husband said no the white gentlemen said your so gay. Now there is no reason to be homophobic... from what I am told he use the gay term alot or word Fag, I even over heard him say it to his own co worker. He is not a nice man at all, My neighbor lost his cat a few weeks ago and he said the same guy said he hopes his cat is never found...really! The office staff is great always helpful no matter what the issue is and one maintenance gentlemen is on top of the pool area and yelling at the bad problem childeren in there is wonderful, we where kids at the pool the only pool we can go too because the front one was slimy and green, when we asked about it the same crancky white gentlemen said when he feels like doing it, Anyways. We where back there and some kids who where in the pool where making a mess and doing things they shouldnt, the maintenance gentlemen came Down and made them clean up and put the chairs back where they belong. We need more of that, Respect. I said thank you and I was told if there is a problem let him know knock on his door. Now that is what I call service. It only takes one bad egg to mess up a cake, I hope this is helpful.

About a month in our hot water went out. We asked at least 10 times to get it fixed. 1 time my room mate even lost it emotionally on the management and yet it was never fixed. We had to bug bomb our apartment multiple times because of cockroach infestation. Now the toilets dont work and we have to flush them with a bucket. We havent even bothered to ask that they be fixed because of the managements complete apathy for their tennants. Our neighbors AC began leaking water and his apartment filled with mold. They never fixed it and he eventually just packed up and moved. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE EVER!

This place is the worst. Unless you like cold showers. I have had little to no hot water for months. After calling several times someone finally came out and and ran the showers for about 30 mins and said that there is hot water if you run it for a while and when I felt it, it was barely warm. On top of that I was told that if I try taking a shower between 6 to 10 that there will be no hot water what so ever. Also we have a bulging ceiling in the 2nd bedroom that leaks. And the celing out side the master bedroom fell out around 11pm on night and it was left there until the next afternoon meaning there was a bunch of wood and nails sitting in front of our door. This place is awful. And all they ever do is say contact us to resolve the issues and then nothing gets done.

This place is terrible and very disappointing and not being treated fairly. We have been calling emergency maintenance line for 2 hours and have never received a call back. Our bathroom ceiling is leaking and its flooding our bathroom in our master bedroom. I have to miss work because of this. Im not happy about this situation. We have a lease like everyone else. This is violating fair housing. At first I enjoyed living here and now its just been harrassment and torture. I dont complain much and try to live at peace. We have been dealing with nothing but a headache. We have made the office aware of our neighbors upstairs have been making so much noise upstairs stomping on the floor all hours of the day and night ( I get up every morning at 4am and cant even get any rest when I come home), smell of pot (that I am allergic to), infested with roaches, storage outside has nothing but mold (I had to throw everything out of the storage and never got fixed), my patio ceiling is falling apart and peices have been falling on us. The lists goes on. I will contact cooperate regarding this issue. Im losing money everyday because of this. How is this fair?***10/06/18 at 5am (the next day) Still no call from the emergency maintenance line. Roof is still leaking and my bathroom is still flooded and now its going into my kitchen.**** 10/14/18 week later still nothing has been done. Still have mold, still dealing with my upstairs neighbors, still no work orders have been done. This place is horrible. Save yourself from the headache and loss of money. Contacted corporate and havent heard from them.**Never received a call that you state your going to call or the issue has been fixed..10 days later my ceiling hasnt been fixed, still have the mold in my outside storage, my neighbors upstairs are now smoking pot in their apartment and is sinking up my 7 year old sons bedroom so now Im dealing with the smell in my apartment and outside of my apartment. The work order that was placed a month ago, nothing got fixed. I am taking this further in action and will get fair housing involved as well as the attorney general. I tired to be calm about the situation but nothing has been done. I have missed work because its affecting my health issues.10/16 Still none of my issues nor my concerns have been addressed. Instead we get a letter from the attorney about posting an issue that was never solved and still hasnt been solved. Now I am taking this further. The video was posted the day MY BATHROOM WAS FLOODED AND NO ONE SHOWED UP TILL THE NEXT DAY AT 11:00 AM. Now were at the point we are being harrassed. At this point this is fair housing violation.

I found AVE 8 and i fell in love with the model that I was told my apartment would look like.. IT DIDNT!. So I moved in Feb I paid for the deposit, first month rent plus an additional 2 months. When I got my keys and went to go see my apartment i was highly disappointed i cried, It looked like they did a rush turn over, the mirrors is the bathroom were stained the cabinets had cracks in them so you can see they were NOT replaced, The sink in the kitchen leaked anytime i made dish water to wash my dishes, The washer leaked the floors had air bubbles in them, the patio blinds didnt move so i couldnt open them fully the patio screen door had a hole in it so bugs could come in as they please on top of the problems within the apartment I noticed that the leasing office shows favoritism. I was late on my rent for May and I know that running a business you have to do whats best for the company I get it. But being that I am/Was a great tenant with no disturbances no real problems. When I was late I did all i could to pay and ended up being able to give up the money for the rent but because I didnt have the money for the $75 late fees that were added and $10 additional every day that totaled to $2600. They didnt want to accept my rent payment so I had to go to court and because I had to go to court that added on legal fees all because the manager didnt want to accept my rent payment I was evicted. But here is the killer. I live next door to a couple of Hispanic families, the leasing office ALL Hispanics working in there. I was talking to my downstairs neighbor about how I was new to living on my own and the experience its been and we started talking about the property and he was telling me that hes been living there for over a year or so and that he has been late before and the leasing office has NEVER sent him to court and has always accepted his late payments, maintenance has always been on time to fix his requests and never a problem for him! So bottom line is that if you are not HISPANIC OR MEXICAN I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU DO NOT LIVE HERE you wont get far.! They clearly look out for their own people because I have never had any disturbances any situations on site nothing to the point where they couldnt have worked with me and been a better leasing office management company.! And lets not add in the horrible service the horrible turnover service just not worth it you can take your $961.54 and go somewhere else with much better layouts better onsite amenities just better. I was so sad that i spent my whole tax check on this apartment i paid them over $2000 when i first moved in just to end it like this because they dont care about their non Hispanic tenants I wish I could sue them for my money back! but its a lost and I know that I will never live there or ever suggest this place to anyone ever!

This is my second year living in these apartments, ever since the new owners and management changed this place has been deteriorate which was about 1 year ago.1.We had no hot water for almost a week.2.During summer our air conditioning broke for 4 days .3.There was a pond of water with a lot of mosquitoes and unsafe for kids also one of the sprinklers broke and it was shooting water as the same hight of the building for a hole month .4.Now, by the entrance were my apartment there is no light features and I keep telling the managers about the lights outside and it has been like that for 3 weeks, Having no light features outside its very unsafe and I dont know what else to do.Somebody broke into my wifes car for the second time do to no lights or security .I definitely do not recommend this place to anybody .It looks like I have to call the City

Lol they jack the price up right!! There a nice size! But funny thing is, they change the name and redo the whole apt. Remodel everything but the bath tub. All they did was change the light fixtures put new counter top wraps. Its all cheap. Theres no guest parking because you have 6 people living in one apt and use all the parking. Apts value between 600-650 maybe 700 but thats pushing it.

This company is the worse when It comes to having anyone respond my messages or request for a call. I had an issue with a property of theres. Now they are facing a lawsuit for unlawful eviction that we paid rent and paid the fee that the judge ordered that we have the receipt and time stamped and dated. We had a water leak and no one attend to till the next day in the afternoon. Never replace the dry wall damage, didnt care the fact I missed work because of this and had to throw my property away that was damaged from the flood and that there was mold. Never received a call or anything from the property manager. They violated our fair housing rights and the maintenance crew told everyone around our area what was going on and that they were trying to get us evicted and sharing information that shouldnt of been shared to kinda like healthcare you have HIPAA. I felt so harrassed living there and at the sametime embarrassed. My neighbors told me this and will testify. I now notified fair housing and well as the attorney general. Be careful with the properties they have because as you can see they will try to screw you over even after the fact you already paid rent and had the proof. How can evict someone who already paid everything? Why dont you ask Monica lobato why she purposely held our payment and made this happen? You can thank her for putting a lawsuit against you and the property for all of our cost and damages and loss of work and invading my health issues that I am suffering currently because of this.This will give you a really bad reputation. I will also contact 3 on your side to be sure everyone is aware of what has happened and putting me and family (my kids) out on the streets. Now I have to miss work and coordinate getting my stuff out of the apartment and make it convenient for Monica lobato and their staff. This should of never happened after the fact WE PAID OUR RENT!

This was the worst complex to live at many reasons why! To start of with the day i recieved the apt i noticed dryer wasent working my very first day i did a maintenance request guess what it took 29 days for them to go look at it!!!! Like are you serious they supposibly fixed it and it kept happening well two weeks before i move out the washer stopped working i made a request and guess what they never showed up i ended my lease and they never went!! My rent was late 1 time during the 12 month lease i couldnt be late because i would start getting late fees! Unlike Maintenance! As you can tell!!! seriously what the hell water gets shut down without notice pool wasent open all last summer,, the new manager is a total looser disliked her since the day i walked in because of her attuide i noticed thats how she treats the residents because as i was there people who where looking to rent she was the sweetest even smiled at them but us residents recieved a “what happend” angry face i must say the last manager Michelle was way better then this new lady give her a 0 in her personality! Overall the negative vibes th apt itself is very spacious! Glad my lease is over also read some reviews on this complex and i must say its the truth! Look somewhere else i do not recommend Living here at all!!

Either no hot water at all or some weeks with nothing but boiling hot water.2.Terrible maintenance take forever to get things done. lucky if fix right and wont have to come back.3. Roach infested!4. I should have known the day I was supposed to move in, I paid my deposit and had everything in order, I arrive in my move in date and there’s a Temp in the office who doesn’t have access to my keys, luckily I wasn’t going to start moving in until the next day but still annoying. Throughout my lease every maintence issue I’ve had required me to follow up with the office at least 2x plus times before the issues were addressed. The first issue was my garbage disposal, it broke 2x during my time and it took a week each time it needed replacement stinking my entire apartment. Dish washer broke, took about 2 weeks for that to be replaced. Now I’m dealing with an entirely different issues, Aug 9th there was a huge storm that caused my sons ceiling to open and let water enter I called the office and they adv they wouldn’t be able to get to it until Aug 15th, it’s now Aug 20th and nothing has been done. I called the office almost daily regarding the issue but the staff is impossible to get ahold of and no one returns messages. My son has been forced to sleep in my room as his room now smells of mildew. Luckily I will be out of here in less than a month. I would not recommend these apartments.

To be honest my experience when I first moved in was a bit uncomfortable but being here for a while I am very thankful for Management to help out and come and repair things when I neededThey have upgraded many things renovating the complex and just recently needed things done in my apartment and assisted to it rapidly and timely fashion I did not interrupt my daily routine was very thankful

DO NOT COME LIVE HERE!!!The apartments itself are not bad, when I first moved in there were alot of roaches but they went away by keeping clean. Management on the other hand is horrible,at first they act all nice because they want you to move in but soon later they show their true colors. They never send a notice when they are gonna shut the water off and maintenance takes for ever to fix things (i have sooo many stories about this) Ive had a leak in my guest bathroom celling for about 5 months now, maintenance came to repair it but still keept leaking so I called again and they didnt come for like a month, one time i called, the lady that answered the phone literally told me they had priorities. But anyway they showed up about 3 weeks ago and fixed it, they left a huge hole in the celling and told me they would send the dry wall people to fix the hole. The guy showed the next day but it was still leaking so he said there was no point in repairing it if its still leaking. So i called the office again and went to the office a couple times and they still have not showed. So there is a huge hole still and now its not a little leak to say the least. My lease is up in a couple of months so I went to the office to ask what the new rate was going to be if i decided to renew my contract. They did not know so they told me they would call me, they didnt so i went again the next week and the lady told me she didnt have that information only the manager did, she told me i could leave a note so she could call me so i did and guess what? She did not. So i went to the office again and they still did not have the information so i told her it was important that i get that info because i did not want it to go over the my 60 days that i have to give incase i decided not to stay. Went back another time and she told me to give her my email so she could email the info to me, did not receive anything so decided to go back today since i had to pay rent ofcourse they are always happy to receive that on time. The lady told me they would not have the rate info till maybe the end of this week so i told her i did not want it to count against me for the 60 day notice and she said it would and there was no way around it she explained to me that if i gave the notice now I would have to pay the extra days for the month of September i told her that how was i supposed to decide if I wanted to stay if I did not know how much rent was going to be. So i left and decided that I dont want to stay here no matter what the rent will be just because of management and how bad maintenance is. Went back to give my 60 day notice and this time the manager decided to come out and help. I told her I wanted to give my 60 day notice she said ok and told me that the it was over 60 days already since last week so i tried to nicely explain to her that ive been trying to get the rate information for the past 3 weeks and have gotten nothing she said we dont have that info yet but you could of given the 60 days already and i told her how am i supposed to know if i want to stay or not if i dont know what the rent will be if i decide to stay. I told her im not trying to fight with you Im just trying to explain what happened and she said you can fight all you want I dont know if you really came here all those times to try and get the info. I could not believe she said that. I literally almost cried because of how mad she made me. But i told her it s ok i just want to give my 60 days I almost could not talk at that point. Her name is Michelle by the way. So now i have to pay almost $400 extra because it was my fault i didnt give the 60 day notice on time, but whatever i cant wait till i can finally leave this horrible place.

First of all they dont deserve a star at all put i had to put one they dont fix anything in the apt and if they do it took them a month to fix my a.c. in the middle of the summer they always gave us a run around just like now with my washer and dryer that advertise it but it has not worked sinced I moved In like 4 or 5 months ago they keep saying thier waiting on a part then then were gonna get a new one then thier waiting on a part trying to fix the old one and got the wrong part again so I still can not wash my clothes they painted my bath tub so when i give my kids a bath there are paint chips its just really crazy.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!! I have had nothing but problems since the new management has taken over. They have shut off the water numerous times with no written notice. The apartments are now infested with roaches I never had a problem until they decided they needed to change the boiler whicj now the water never rally gets HOT its more like luke warm. Not to mention they have a tow truck come through and tow their tenants cars on a regular bases. Do not let your registration not be up to date or let your car sit for more then a week without moving it bc it will be TOWED. The management is horrible they have no idea how to run a complex. they are to busy hiring people to fix up the property and not completing the work orders for the tenants. For the price here it is not even close. HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE luckily my lease will be up soon!!!! THEY DESERVE 0 STARS BUT THATS NOT AN OPTION HERE BUT THAT IS MY OPINION

The hot water is never on, every since the new management has came there has been nothing but problems, roaches everywhere, they cut off the water at least 3 times a week, and there is barely hot water, I currently have no hot water and has been taking cold showers for the pass two days. This place is absolutely terrible.

It is a very quiet, safe and familiar apartment complex, my experience has been good, Olga has been very helpful and helpful whenever I have any questions or questions, she is always ready to help just like Monica the manager, they have an excellent team, whenever I have had any maintenance problem they have fixed it in the agreed time I am very satisfied with my stay at Avenue 8 apartments it is a very good place to live the areas are always clean the care they put into maintaining the appearance of the place is very good and Also that they are implementing control in the access to the entrance makes me feel more comfortable and safe although I have never experienced insecurity in the complex. They are very good improvements by the administration. Keep up the good work. Thank you for making me feel at home.

The only good thing about this place is the space is very big, but it is not worth it for everything that we did, first the department is very good to charge on time and ask for extra two dollars of taxes but not to meet their needs. homework . The department had to be delivered at the time of signing the contract which did not happen, we arrived there at 12 to sign it, we stayed until 1 almost 2 in the afternoon and the keys did not have them ready! Apparently they did not have it ready, and had problems the stove did not tell us that but I heard while talking on the phone we decided to go packing things, my husband had asked that day for just that, they called us at almost 4 in the afternoon to pick up the keys went and entered the department which was a total disaster, nothing to do with what they teach you (of course it was our mistake also not to look at the department that we would touch before signing) the fan did not work, there were cockroaches, bad painted, stains, the study did not work and the mirror closet decomposed? It is assumed that the department did not deliver it almost two weeks later so that all this could be fixed, which was not the case. Well we settled and did not take much into account to that, my husband woke up on Monday with bites we decided to ignore it, Tuesday my brother stayed since the next day they would supposedly go to fix those problems that the department had, which they also never did they looked. The fact is that my brother still did not spend 1 hour and was full of welts that I knew were bed bugs that night my husband woke up with more. I have a two month old baby! And the place is supposed to have been fumigated, something that was not done, we would have preferred to wait longer for all of that to be done. We had to ask for our money back. By the way, they forced us to leave earlier in less than 24 hours with our things already infested with bed bugs, since they would charge us for each day that we stayed there. In my opinion, save everything we lost for this place. Days of work, money, furniture and the simple echo of changes and rush to get out of there in 3 hrs which we were already installed. As apartments did not comply with their rules it is illegal to deliver an uninhabitable apartment. He clarified that we are not sensitive. But they put at risk my babys life that thank God nothing happened to her.
