Moved from Florida with my job and went looking for apartment last week. Visited three apartment complexes in Mesa and Chandler area and hands down Parkside Apartments are the best. The location is great the grounds and apartment I saw was amazing. The manager Melanie Bell was so professional and knowledgeable compared to the other individuals I worked with. I am in need of a studio as I am a retired General in the Army and my new job has me traveling much of the time. Melanie is actually trying to find a studio within her company so that I can have that convenience. More apartments should have managers like her, the company should be really elated they have her. Great place. New owners and managment are great and working hard to improve the property. Melanie will do her best for anyone that asks her. She is always pleasant and understanding with any issues you may have. Property is well lit at night making you feel safe. Anything that needs repair is done right. Overall this old property is improving daily.

Lived here just over a year and they will help you any way possible. This is an older property but the staff stays on top of the issues that arise. The new management is wonderful and goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and your needs are met

,My name is Joe Wilson, and today I went to Parkside Apartments in Mesa to view an apartment for me and my wife. We have been looking for about a month as our lease will expire October 1st were we are living. I have to say, this was a wonderful, clean, complex, and the apartment is what my wife and I have been looking for, We both work in the grocery industry so when we are home we like a clean, quite, professional environment. The manager Melanie was very nice, extremely smart, and took all the time we needed to see apartment and answer our questions, It would be great is all the apartments we have seen had a manager like her. She really cares about her property and the people that live there, thats one of the reasons we are moving in to Parkside Apartments. Thanks for this wonderful new place to live. My name is Robert Settles, and my wife and I have been looking for an apartment in the Mesa area. After seeing several we stumbled across what we are going to call home. We love the location, the park nearby, and the property, manager is terrific. Melanie the manager helped us with seeing an apartment and all the questions we had. The front desk woman was kind and let me view the 1 apartment they had open for viewing. However I didn’t like the fact that the smell of cigarette smoke was pretty much everywhere you went from the leasing office and up to the apartment I viewed. She explained the apartment being viewed was still being renovated but it was absolutely disgusting can’t imagine that anyone had lived in that unit prior because the carpet was a dark brown covered in stains looked like it was from the 80s, the bathroom looked so crusty tub was stained and caulking was cracking everywhere, and the giant hole in the ceiling from what appeared to be a previous leak was very concerning. Even as I was leaving the property the police were arrest teens/ young adults for what appeared to be drug activity. Overall not the nicest neighborhood or places for the price point of the rent requested.

While I had my issues during my overall stay with Parkside, since the new management has arrived, they have been making strides to improve the issues I had and I appreciate that. I think great things could be coming for this place. They are trying.

Great property and people. Management and maintenance try to be the best possible on this old property. Old owners ran it into the ground and they are bringing the property back to the 21st century

Very friendly staff. Always willing to help even during non business hours. They are in the process of doing many upgrades so that’s a huge plus and the work is scheduled only during business hours.

I moved from Ojai California recently looking for a safe stable and very well organized affordable property to move into. I found that here at parkside I recently became disabled and needed a smooth transition into a new home. Melanie the manager helped me achieve just that, she is so thoughtful and helpful I could not ask for a better place to call home.

I am giving this review about my complex because it has been really an awesome thing in getting a new manager. A lot of things have changed since we have gotten a new manager. Melanie is awesome. She has been very nice to me and my service dog Rosie. She has great people skills, and knows how to deal with people, is very polite.Thank you for replacing her with a wonderful lady. I am happy I renewed my lease and got to meet Maureen. I feel like I really have a home now. And also she has been really great about my service dog Rosie Brown. I love my apartment and its size and location. I have a dog park across the street for Rosie, and I have great access to public transportation and some great little food places.Thank you Parkside and Melanie for making me feel good about living at Parkside.

Im only giving stars because it is a very nice well property but Im very disappointed and feel I was judged and profiled with out even knowing me I had acquired about a apartment here recently went and looked at at loved it and more yes ill admit before I was giving housing thru hom inc 3 years ago I did have some past evictions for non payment of rent before being granted a home inc housing voucher i feel not only did the property manager base my past and who I am as a human being I feel she was even rude and lied to me at the end of the day because for 1 how does one of there other properties approve me and even over looked my past but when my best friend called her to explain the circumstance not only was the property manager a bit rude she said she follows the rules but one of there sister properties not only approved me remind you same management and ownership but this lady denied me over past evictions and to explain in detail I was granted housing voucher 3 years ago due to my income and the fact Im disabled and was in a serious accident that totally deformed my left hand along with if its against your company rules not to approve me as the property manager said why did tall sister property not only approve me but took the time to see after my past evictions I still have 3 years good rental history

Spoke with Sonia, I believe the manger, and had a wonderful experience. She gets things fixed when they need done and has great relationships with everyone she encounters. She makes an effort to make you feel welcomed and also knows whats going on in the neighborhood from local politics, events, and places to eat, I believe she won an award for being awesome in the community ask her about it. The complex is quiet and clean which is a plus. The neighbors I have right now are nice hard working people. I like the location, its close to the light rail.

They have bedbugs and dont fix anything ever and they also dont do anything about the bedbugs. They are scammers.

Parkside is a great place to live! I was a resident there for a year and absolutely loved it. The price is very reasonable especially with all utilities included. The location is great as it is in the middle of everything and the staff is exceptional. Sonia is exactly what a property manager should be. She genuinely cares about the residents and is quick to resolve any issues that arise. Maintenance is on top of it. They completed my work order within 24hrs and made me feel like I was a priority. I would and have recommended these apartments to family and friends. Great job parkside!

I moved in the end of October beginning of November and the manager here Sonia has been so amazing and helpful!She! made the process of getting the apartment easy and less stressful. Anytime you need anything all you have to do is go to the front office and speak to her and she is on top of everything. We just recently had a fire nextdoor to my apartment and she made sure I was able to move back home as quickly as possible. She has been one of the best property managers I have ever had to deal with and makes living here so easy and no stress at all. I highly recommend these apartments just for the management!!

The service in this complex is amazing. I put in s service call one time and the maintenance guy-Wally was here in 10 minutes. He assessed the problem and gave me a return time. Wally was there in the dot. He fixed it quickly and Ive had no trouble with it since. I want to add that BOTH times he entered my apartment-he wiped his feet. I found that courteous and respectful. Lastly-even though they are older-this complex looks great-also because of maintenance. Im happy. No plans to move.

The manger is a great lady. She has worked with me when I have been hospitalized. She gets things fixed when they need done. The complex is quiet and clean. I have no roaches or any kind of critters and the bug man sprays every month. I love my apartment, its big, I love the floor plan, my service dogs are very happy here. The neighbors I have right now are nice hard working people. I like the location, its close to the light rail. I am glad I moved here. I get my privacy and no one bothers you.

The property manager Sonia has been so amazing! From helping me into getting in my apartment and offering help when help is needed. I couldnt imagine a better manager in an apartments to deal with. As long as you remain in full contact with her she is always more than willing to help in any way possible. The complex is always clean and if there are any repairs that need to be completed she remains on top of them at all times until the work has been done!! I am very pleased and satisfied with this complex as well as Sonia the property manager ‼️‼️

I love living here, you just can not beat the price with today’s market. Anytime I need any type of maintenance I let Sonya the office manager know and it gets handled so fast, the maintenance team is prompt and actually knows what they’re doing he doesn’t just guess when fixing things in my home. I love that Sonya is always there in the office there’s not just a random flunkie up there. I’ve read some of the other reviews and just can’t see where these bad ones are from, they have to be talking about a different complex entirely. I highly recommend Parkside apartments to anyone

It is time for us to renew our lease and we will definitely be staying. Maintenance man fixes all problems very promptly. And the manager is a great lady, totally on top of her game and willing to work with her tenants, when needed. We absolutely love the apartment, the property and the staff.

I live here at park side apartments with great joy! The staff is very helpful in time of need in or around the apartment complex and there response time is very good... I also enjoy having a pool to keep me extremely cool in the summer time! I am grateful that I have a great Manager that does her best to manage Park Side Apartments with a great attitude and efficiency!

I was having a tough time finding a place to live. It seemed as though every complex I went to saw dollar signs(i.e. app & admin. fees). Then I found Parkside. I guess the property manager Sonia saw the weariness on my face. She was so warm and welcoming. She saw a human being. She made the process so easy and stress free. That was 3 years ago, and I am still here. Maintenance is always on top of his game ( shout out to Wally!) Havent needed many repairs but when I do hes there the same day or next. Whenever anything is needed Sonia and Wally go the extra mile to help. Parkside is a great place to live!!

My sister lives here and the manager checks on her because of her health. My sister has a nice apartment. Its a great size for her and her service dogs. It is clean, quiet and the neighbors dont bother you. I feel my sister is safe here. And I like the manager.

Sonia the manager is exceptional and shes always had my back. I love this property and I intend on renuing my lease. Ive been here for several years and Sonia has really cleaned up the neighborhood. A true blessing!

I just renewed my lease after living here for a year. Im very happy here. The property manager is phenomenal and is always willing to listen and help. I have never had such a great person to run a complex . The maintenance men are right on top of work orders and emergencies are taken care of very quickly. I have never had a bug of any kind. ( Bed bug nor roaches) We are all like family here. Its a very family oriented complex. With the beautiful park across the street and nice pool as well as pretty grounds; Im a big fan of everything and staff at Parkside.

Most affordable rent in the area utilities included and great management maintenance handles problems quick Sonia is awesome and has really turned this place around !!!

Management and maintance is like a grea second family, i honestly made the right decision to move here 7 and a half months ago ! Come by and and find out more the apartments are spacious and cheap for the price ! The pool is open whenever you want except nights . parkside apartments for you !!!

I like parkside apartments. Management and maintenance get things done and made me comfortable to live here.

This coming May (2019) when my lease ends I will have lived at Parkside Apartments for 4 years. I have never had any problems with bed bugs. Utilities are included with rent. Whenever something goes wrong in the apartment if I report it to management it is corrected in a timely manner. There have been some issues with the AC but those have been fixed as well. Management has always been nice and maintenance as well. I would recommend the apartments to someone with lower-income and who wants utilities included. I have been happy here and would choose to move here again knowing what I know now.

Love living here. Its been great here.

If the lady that answers the phone is the manager, watch out! She needs to take a class on civility, number 1, and good old salesmanship, number 2. Last time i checked there are quite a few choices for apartments. Probably should skip this one.

Dont live here whatever you do! I am a current tenet and the longer Ive been here the more Ive been convinced that the people who run it are corrupt. The building manager simply refuses to see obvious incompetence in the people she employs or is an active party in allowing it to occur. At this point the outcome is the same. She consistently hires either incompetent or lazy maintenance/repair people. This is the conversation I just had with one of them. You know the recycle bins your wife and you use? I just dump that in the dumpster. When I asked why the response was Im not taking those to the street and back twice a week. Once again please heed this warning and save yourself a horrible experience. Other problems have included bed bugs and long lapses in the a/c and hot water, both problems occurring multiple times and lasting multiple days.

Used to live/work there and trust me i know how they operate. Alot of illegal stuff goes on there and if you let it be known you will be thrown out like i was. So who ever even thinks about renting here please take my advice dont! and if you do please go some where else better that actually cares.

This place is infested with bugs and criminal activity and drugs. they steal rent and deposit payments and dont post to your account or give you credit. often have no water. heat and a/c always off and going out.l nothing ever fixed in apartment. told would have a completely renovated apartment and absolutely nothing was done. a total ghetto and slum. police and emergency always on site. elevator constantly out of order.

I work for a couple who live there, and as long as you clean regularly the bed bugs arent a problem. The new management has ran off any known tweekers and other riffraff.

MAKE SURE YOU CIRCUMVENT THIS PLACE EVEN IF YOU NEED A PLACE TO RENT. THEY WILL FAKE PAPERWORK SAYING THEY SHAMPOO THE CARPET. BEDBUGS RUN RAMPANT IN THIS PLACE. THEY KNOW IT AND DONT CARE. THEY MOVE AT A SNAILS PACE OF HANDLING MAINTENANCE ISSUES. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES OR YOU TOO CAN GET EATEN ALIVE.
