The Front Office Staff are Super Nice! They have always been extremely supportive when I advise Im going to be late on rent, again, lol. They tend to maintenance request in a timely manner, no complaints!
Staff was great, handled things fast, and maintenance was always out working on keeping the place going.Lived in two units at this location for a while. Was deff cooler on the first floor.Didnt notice any major insect / bug issues.Units have an older feeling but for the price around in the area and availability of things around its a decent bargain.Would recommend for anyone looking to move to this side of Phoenix but stay near transit options.Just a few issues but good to make note of:Landscaping early in the morning but they kept the grounds looking clean. Just was a bit of a morning wake-up.Low sound insulation on the walls. Could make out full conversations outside.Multiple days of the gates being pried open by residents which resulted in a broken gate. More of an issue with the residents than the property management.Lot of people who utilized patio for dog placement. Resulting in barking dogs late at night.
Rafael and Francisco came quickly (as always) and prepared to my home. Replaced my fan and my home is nice and cool again. All staff has been compassionate and friendly. My son loves everyone in the leasing office and he loves resident events. You run a great team at Pala Mesa.
I have lived at this complex for almost 2 years, and its one of the best apartments Ive lived in. And I have lived in a lot over my life.Love the layouts of the 2 bedrooms, their patios are huge, lots of trees, a nice sized dog park and a pretty decent weight/workout room. They have monthly food trucks, DVDs to watch in the office and giveaways all the time. They dont have to do any of that. But they do.Plus, the maintenance staff ROCKS - I have never had to wait for them, they are always so prompt and coming in to check on whatever I need. They knock, are professional, wear masks and get the job done. Thats all I need! Its really quiet here, we are close to the light rail and all freeways.I plan to live here as long as possible before I buy a house for me and my son. I have been meaning to do a review for a while now. Its quiet and safe here and I highly recommend living here.
Apartments are old, bugs are common, doors have markings of pervious break in attempts. Over all its a lower income apt complex where leasing office ensures that you are aware of it by towing your car due to expired registration, which is not expired but simply stickers are not arriving in the mail. its truly frustrating to get towed where you live, even after i provide proof to leasing office that reg. has been updated.
Walking in at the office was very welcoming. Cindy was very nice to me and my sister.
Bear in mind that this is our fourth month of living here, but so far our experience here has been exceptional. Maintenance issues always happen, but the response is always prompt and professional. Theres easy access to the 101, 60, and to the light rail which is a huge plus for us (only one car to work with). Theres been some great community events so far like food trucks and a food drive which has been fantastic, especially during the pandemic. All in all, this complex has been great for my wife and I and we see no reason to be going anywhere anytime soon!
The women in the office are always so helpful!
This is a great place to live! So many amenities and great management! Natasha always, is there to answer any questions you may have!
The management is very attentive & helpful! I definitely recommend this place. They also regularly provide pest control and allow request, which is very helpful.
Roaches and cats everywhere not a nice place for kids and no help from office.would love to meet with owners.and will post pictures if need be.
I called in need of a place Natashas customer service and how prompt and professional she was is beyond 5stars very grateful for the Pala Mesa staff. ❤️
The staff at Pala Mesa are very kind and professional!Natasha is always quick to help and very respectful!
This property is well maintained and has excellent staff that handles anything you need in a timely manner!!!!
Honestly this complex doesn’t make any sense they will charge you more a month for a year lease then a 5 month lease and when walk through is done/given every one is rude to you and very dirty
Both the leasing agents and the maintenance men were friendly and extremely helpful in getting me settled in. I had an issue with the A/C and a few other things on my move-in day, but they went above and beyond to fix the problem and they did it quickly. Thats top notch customer service in my book. The complex is quiet, largely well-kept, and secure. The apartments were built in the 90s and the interior finishings are a little dated, but theyre still comfortable and spacious with above-average amenities for this price range (in-unit washer/dryer, garbage disposal, storage space, etc.). The gym is awesome. The pool area is pretty great too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the spa looks a little on the green side at the moment, and that was one of the amenities I was most looking forward to using. All in all, Id give this place a solid A- and would gladly recommend it to anyone considering a move to the West Mesa area.
When i moved into this apartments last year with my family they were quiet and serene. There were some occasional neighbors who gave his and hellos however things are changing and i feel the management is letting their guard down. There are groups of men sometimes during the day smoking pot, gossiping or sometimes vigorously scrolling their phones while watching something. My children and wife are afraid to pass beside them. When my wife and children go to work they sometimes find them at the same spot they left when they come back. We sometimes feel that this people can surveille someone because they know when they are in or out their premises. We wonder how they are able to pay their rent or who is paying for them and why. Mind you when i look at other places within the apartment there are no men hanging around but they come to this specific spot like its their rendezvous place. They could be Tenants but one would wonder how theyd know each other within short time. The security guards sometimes make their rounds but they dont question them maybe they think they are tenants. There is also the dog poop which was besides the stairwell the other day, we have pets but they are always on the leash and we pick after them. Management clearly needs to look at this issues until then its 3 stars for me.
Eddie was great and very informative, he knew what to ask and was very attentive with all my needs. He provided the most welcoming tour!
This apartment complex is astonishingly horrible. The manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. The leasing consultants, never reach out to inform us about updates to our problems. If you are looking at leasing an apartment here I seriously would reconsider, there are a lot of better apartments than this one. Also, there are a lot of bark scorpions in the area. In addition, if you look at other reviews you can also see that other residents are fed up with the manger due to him being unprofessional. 10/10 would not recommend. Not to mention, there are trying to overcharge us for something we should not have to pay. They really try to scam you and screw you over.
Great location and management keeps up with the landscape. The complex has a great dog community and everyone is friendly. Front office staff is always nice.
I stayed there for one year and then moved out. Everything is fine, the apartment is relatively new, the maintenance is reliable. HOWEVER, the manager of the leasing office is the rudest person we ever seen. I suspect this is only targeting international students cause a few of my friends who are international students staying there also had a similar experience. I DONT RECOMMEND ANY INTERNATIONAL STUDENT STAYING THERE.
Solid place to live. Don’t regret it.
Authoritative rule. Weekly patio inspections, guard to watch you, rules for everything. Horrible experience.
We lived in this complex for about 3 months and we moved out due to a scorpion manifestation that they could not fix. The manager is seriously horrible and unprofessional. He tries to undermine you and pulls out the im an adult card. He gets very upset when you try to explain your issue and not to mention the leasing agents are not the best either. I would not recommend living here to anybody. If you look at the reviews below you can also see that residents are also having the same issue with the manager and leasing consultants. Also, my roommate Ashley Rosales made a review about a month ago and if you notice they never responded to her. If you also look them up on the better business bureau they have a D-. Seriously not worth it. There are better places to live trust me.
This apartment complex is horrible, the staff there are nothing but nuisances. When we first moved in we had asked if there were any pests we should be aware of and they said no. However, within our first month living there we had found a bunch of scorpions and contacted the manager. However we did not realize that the Manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. The leasing agents are also horrible and are always giving you the run around. Not to mention, they are trying to up charge us for something we should not be responsible for. If you are looking into leasing this apartment I highly recommend looking somewhere else.
So this is a while back in 2014 and the property was transferring ownership to weirder. The previous owner did have poor care of the place. I live near the canal and on the first floor. So if there is water in the desert there will be pest. So I had a couple of scorpion in my apartment. They got in by under my front door. I told the leasing office that my front door had a gap under and I think pest as in ants can get in. Well yes black ants came in and along with that scorpions to. So I told the leasing office that I had killed three scorpions in my apt the 3rd week I moved in. So I decided to use bug spray in my patio and so when I spray the cracks scorpions started to pop or left and right. Now when I told the leasing office they said they have people spray for pest control... ha well I think they would need their money back because they previous pest control jack them of their cash.So that was from time transferring of ownership but I’m will to try again with Pala Mesa with the new ownership that’s the reason why 4 star because the rent is some what reasonable then the other apts. If they are willing to take me ha.That’s my story hopefully it will help you make good choice.
I have lived in this cozy place for 3 years in a row and I still miss it. It was hard to say goodbye!
I have had no issues in the 1.5 years Ive lived here. Minus a few scorpions, but thats okay. Pool is great. Gym is great. Apartment is comfortable and the individual ac unit is nice.
Me and my sister have loved living here and only had to move because of her schooling. The only issue we had with our apartment was with the AC, but the office staff were quick to get that fixed when it broke 👍. We were also a second floor apartment and never had an issue with bugs!We will miss you guys!
This has been the best apartment complex I have ever lived at. Very clean. Amazing staff. Top quality amenities. New upgrades throughout property. I would recommend these apartments to anyone. You will not be disappointed.
I do not recommend living here unless you want to become best friends with scorpions. I am extremely upset with this apartment complex. Within a month and 2 weeks living here we have found 16 total scorpions. On the third day of our lease we had found one on our clothes and we had placed an order for pest to come in. They came and sprayed the next day and said it is only at full strength for two weeks and lasts a month. I don’t know if that made it worse or if it even helped. We then contacted Eddie the property manager a couple weeks after and he said he was going to help us yet it has been 5 days and we still have yet to speak to him. Believe me when I say this but I would not move in to this apartment complex. Also, not to mention but we had asked before we moved in if there were any pests we should be aware of and they said no. I understand that they make commission off of people coming but to screw people over is horrible.
I love the area and being near the light rail is big plus for me. Anais and Derek were great moving me in and were very helpful when I had questions. The gym is my go to and is my second home so I love their gym especially since its open 24 hours. The one bedroom is way too big for me since I live on my own so I am a happy resident!
I lived here a almost a year ago and loved it. The assistant manager Derick was so kind. Always so enthusiastic and nice. I would never be able to tell he had a bad day. Great maintenance team! Only moved to be closer to work
This is the kind of place I was looking for Good neighborhood, those staff are really friendly and helpful ..maintenance really helps quick on all my needs in my unit Jenny she’s very helpful and doing great
My family and I are so excited to be here! We just moved in today and this place is a serious upgrade from where we were living. Anais was so helpful, patient and kind. I asked a lot of questions and she answered every one of them with zero annoyance. Elena was great as well. We already met some of our neighbors. Happy to be a resident here. 😊
This place has a great staff we have just renewed our lease and the staff is outstanding. Natasha and Bernadette have great relationships with myself and the residents here at La Pala Mesa I have seen first hand that they have a positive attitude and always are willing to help. You can really tell that they care when you walk in the main office and greet you with a how are you? and a how can I help you?! Keep up the good work as long as they are here were happy to stay here! Thanks for making this a great place to live!
Location! Location! Location! Lived here a year and really enjoyed the reasonable proximity to everything! Downtown Tempe, Phoenix and Scottsdale are all a jump, skip and hop away! Onsite team was also so responsive and professionally! Dog park was the best selling feature for my fur baby!
I strongly dont recommend live in Pala Mesa. The application process was so bad. I cant imagine what would happen if I did move in. The agent Mary is soooooo rude, even racial discrimination. I have complained to their headquarter. The headquarter has refunded my application fee, but I didn’t receive any apologizes from Pala Mesa till now.
The manager is amazing freaking amazing. He tries to fix any situation. Eddie really does go all out. Thank you for my time here better.
Eddie is the funniest guy, manager for Pala Mesa. He invited us to food truck night and it was a blast!!!!
While the staff is friendly and maintenance is quick the walls are paper thin. If youre looking to get a good nights sleep this is not the place, if you live on the first floor... forget about it! It feels safe enough, gates are always closed & there only two entrances. Make sure to check the apartment before you get it we have problems with our carpets not being changed and they say our windows are double paned and they arent. Just keeping the apartment at 80 during the summer is a high spike in our energy bill. Our microwave and stove both dont work properly. Stove doesnt heat up past 450 and our microwave is melted on the side, completely unsafe, but because theyre not broken they wont to change them. While they do offer full washer and dryers in unit, renters beware, the washer isnt actually full size & the dryer doesnt dry your clothes all the way. I have to put mine on high heat twice just to dry regular clothes I wont even go there with towels. All in all its a decent place but I will not renew my lease nor have any of my neighbors there is a moving van every day... Moving out that is.
I loved living here! The staff was always friendly, maintenance was very friendly & got things done in a great turn around time too! Also very local to places like tempe market! I recommend it here!
Great location, professional staff always going out of their way to get things done. Enjoy living here. Freeways are really close to the property so I can navigate across town
Pala Mesa describes itself as a community. By the actions of the office and maintenance crew it feels that way. I am always greeted by the office staff by my name. The community director works with you one on one if there are any issues. I am glad I am able to call her by her nickname. I and my roommates feel safe with the area being gated and with the courtesy patrol. The maintenance staff always arrives to fix problems in a timely manner and Im glad to know their names and they know my name. Ive had a couple of emergencies late at night and they always come to the rescue. In my past rentals Ive never had that feeling of community. But here at Pala Mesa I do. Bernie, the community director is great and she leads an awesome crew. Glad to call Pala Mesa home & recommend this place. Its near to the freeway and you can walk to the metro light rail within minutes.
This apartment complex was a great experience fro my first time living on my own. I wanted somewhere close to ASU and close to the light rail, and this one fit the bill. I lived with two other people in a two bed/two bath and enjoyed it. I noticed that there were many families living there, so it wasnt just college town which was nice for night that I wanted to sleep and study (there wasnt much noise at night). We threw one party the entire time we lived there (two years) and we did have security knock on our door at 11:30pm asking us to please keep it down. So they care about their neighbors too. The grounds are pretty nice; the grass always looks nice and they care about their landscape. I will say that I was disappointed in the condition of the apartment that we moved into. The kitchen is pretty outdated and the carpets are gross and need to be replaced. BUT, considering that Im a college kid and this was my first experience, it wasnt too shabby. We put in a small handful of maintenance requests over the span of our two years varying from bug spray requests to replacing the drawer in the fridge. Over all a good experience. I liked that it was gated and there was a night guard on duty, that made me feel safer.
I lived a Pala Mesa for over 5 years and would highly recommend it. Great location, quiet, and a very responsive team.
The women who work in this office is so stupid in July 31st 2019, she knows nothing and keep question me. I explain for thousands of times and she still yelling at me, also for the maintenance man, he also yelling at me with that women. They never consider about resident’s thoughts. But the manager is so good, good explanations and communication skills, never talk to women in the office, so fking stupid. If you wish to live here, you better have no problem that need help from maintenance and leasing office. Oh, and both that two staff said I am not respect to the woman staff, I didnt even feel respected at all, why should I respect you?
We lived here from 5/16-11/17 and had a wonderful experience. The office and maintenance staff were fantastic and always accommodating to anything we needed. I would highly recommend Pala Mesa to anyone. It’s a great location as well, perfect with the light rail!
Ive really loved living at Pala Mesa for the past year. The staff has been really friendly and easy to work with, everything seems to be well maintained, I really appreciate all the amenities, theyre quick to respond to requests for repairs, and overall I think its been a great place to live. Theres still the normal downsides that come with living in an apartment like sometimes noisy neighbors, my friends can never find the place, and its on a major road that can make it slow to get into or out of the complex. And scorpions; we have found a few scorpions, but the complex provides pest control and our apartment hasnt had much of an issue. Unfortunately Im moving because the rent has gone a bit above my budget, but I dont necessarily think the amount theyre asking is unreasonable considering the quality.
Been living here for 5 months already. Really like the place. Clean, front desk is super helpful, maintenance’s nice too. 👍
Lived here for a few months and would highly recommendRent movies from the officeNice gymNice poolClose to shopping and the mall !Really get your moneys worth here !
I have only lived here for a month and a half, moved in mid-August and I have found 5 scorpions in my apartment. The people at the front desk and maintenance have been very helpful and I understand that this problem is not their fault, Im just a little frustrated that is happening. 6 weeks of living here and 5 scorpions found equals to about 1 scorpion a week. Ridiculous!!! Pest control has came and sprayed inside and out but obviously it is not helping and at this point I am scared to walk around my apartment barefoot. I would suggest living on the second floor at this apartment complex if you can since bugs would not be as bad of an issue. Other than the scorpion problem, this complex is not a terrible place to live. After reading other reviews I realize I am not the only one here with a bug/pest problem however. The apartments here are very old and may need some new walls or weather stripping or whatever keeps bugs out. Safe to say I cannot wait to move out, you get what you pay for!!
The pool and grounds are well kept, but the apartments are terrible. There is a SCORPION infestation! Ive found 4 scorpions in my first 3 months living here. I reported it and they agreed that they did have a scorpion situation, but they didnt assure me that they would do anything about it or apologize for not informing us of their problem before we moved here. The apartment itself is not worth the price. My sink leaks and they have not fixed it. We can hear our neighbors all the time and im sure they can hear us. Random people walk into the complex and there has been reports of cars being broken into. The gym has been broken into and weights were stolen. This place is a mess and they do not care about their tenants!!
Great location. Nice neighbors. Solid plumbing. Just opened a dog park. Now that we have recycling (hoping for more bins inside the gates soon), this is a 5-star place to live.
Great place to live, very friendly people and office/maintenance staff.
Do not live here!! They send your deposit to the wrong address and say they never had the address you have given them from the start. I lost 500 dollaes because they gave my deposit to the wrong address. The place is dirty, the people are rude, and all the neighbors are snitches. My washer has broken a few times and the hot water has been out several times.
Pala Mesa apartments has actually been the best apartment complex that I have lived in in the ASU / Tempe area. When I first moved in it was nice and got a lot better once the new management took over. This apartment complex took care of a lot of gripes I had with previous living arrangements. The uncovered parking for roommates and extra guests was always available and not much of a walk from my building.I always felt safe in the complex since it was gated and the security guard who walked it at night was very friendly. I never had any issues with anyone lurking around the parking lot or anything like that. The rent is very affordable for a Tempe apartment, the gym had all of the basic necessities and the pool was good for sunbathing on sunny afternoons. Probably my biggest gripe living here was not the apartment complex itself, but the traffic lights on Apache blvd due to the light rail which made driving take a lot longer than it should have. If you plan to ride the light rail frequently, however, it is just a 5 minute walk to the nearest station.Overall, great apartment complex, I would live here again if I ever needed something affordable near the light rail.
Nice Community. Good Maintenance Team, Especially Dwayne
I loved living at Pala Mesa!Wonderful maintenance and leasing team in the office.Great location too!
I enjoyed my time at pala Mesa. Staff and location were my favorite.
We have had one problem after another here. My guy and I are very reasonable, friendly, and hardworking people. We tend to be happy wherever we live, but we have been quite frustrated with Pala Mesa. We have only lived here for a little over 3 months and have had plenty of obstacles. I cannot even count the number of times we have tried to go to the pool to relax on an evening or weekend - only to find the water is absolutely disgusting. Its very frustrating to not be able to use the pool. Once or twice would be understandable, but it has been much more frequent than that for us. We have also had several small problems in our apartment - but small problems over time add up. Our ice machine in our freezer doesnt work. We requested maintenance to fix it, but it still doesnt work. The A/C unit outside of our apartment made a HORRIBLY loud shrieking noise - starting at 10PM until 11PM for over 1 week. We called the office about it and they said they would request the night patrol to check it out. They did nothing to fix it. We wake up at 5:30am everyday so this was quite frustrating. Several days later, our A/C unit went out and our apartment reached 83 degrees. They sent emergency A/C repair over and he did fix the unit. We have had the exterminator come 3 times (once a month) - and yet, we have had 8 scorpions IN our apartment. I went to the office several weeks ago to ask how to stop this problem - as we are Montana natives and have never dealt with scorpions before - and the staff was less than helpful. They had no advice other than to request the exterminator, and when I said we have requested him to come once a month, they said not to request the exterminator too much, as it can actually have the opposite effect desired. Needless to say, finding 8 scorpions in just over 3 months has been pretty frustrating for us. Our upstairs neighbors are very loud. We can hear them walking around their apartment and they stay up late talking and, from what sounds like to us, stomping around their apartment. The list goes on and on. We chose to live here because of the location. My guy rides the Light Rail into Phoenix everyday so we thought it was perfect, but in hindsight I definitely would have looked into other options.
Very nice place to live.Lived here for almost 3 years now and love it.Great location.Mesa riverview park,Cubs baseball within5 minutes away.Nice spacious apts with your own washer and dryer.I highly recomend.
I used to live in apartment 172, im happy I left. The neighbors above had to be the loudest and rudest ive ever encountered. I understand that there may be minor inconveniences with apartment living, but gosh the people above me always played loud music with bass during the weekday and stomped around 24/7 as if it were intentional. These apartments have poor noise reduction and Im so happy to have moved out because management isnt doing anything to quiet the living environment. Ive even talked to the neighbor, they were very inconsiderate and management failed to listen to my complaints. I now live at the Galleria Palms and I now get my proper sleep every night.
Derek one of the leasing agents gave me the best customer service I’ve ever had
Cons:Ive rented apartments for 14 years and never experienced any of these issues before. Ive left stellar reviews of all past complexes.Move out experience: They will overcharge you for regular wear and tear and for damages they caused while you lived there when you move. They wont budge without lawyers and threats of collection. They will dispose of any unintentionally left belongings in the apartment without communication and regardless of value. We assume that items left behind at the time of move-out are left behind intentionally. Therefore, we dispose of all items left behind accordingly.- Richard BrassoPotential residents can look at the image linked below and decide for themselves how intentional it is to leave the dishes you eat off of when you move. They will literally throw your familys dishes away during a pandemic instead of sending you an email. This is the kind of robotic, unkind, and unwise interaction you can expect from the management team.Bed bugs: Unfortunately we had bed bugs while living here which is a nightmare to deal with. You have to move all of your belongings, throw many of them away, and be evacuated for extended periods of time.Scorpions: We had more than 3 scorpions get inside of the apartment and I was stung by a scorpion on my foot while in the apartment.Insulation/Build Quality: There is little insulation near doors and windows making temperature uneven in the apartment and requiring higher utility bills. Carpet in 2 areas of the apartment got wet regularly after it rains.Black mold: We had 3 locations of mold while in the apartment that affected the carpet and walls that the management team never fully repaired. We were charged for the damages on move out.Rent increases: Rent goes up systematically year over year.Noise: Air conditioners and maintenance crews are very loud.============================================Pros:The apartment is located near the lightrail, canals, ASU and plenty of shopping centers. The complex exterior is well maintained and peaceful most of the time.
I’d give Pala Mesa 2 stars only because my apartment itself wasn’t too bad, but everything else was honestly an awful experience. From the minute I moved in things stopped working left and right. First the shower, then the stove, the sink, the garbage disposal, etc. On two occasions the air broke, both times took more than 3 days to fix, and one of those times was right smack in mid/end of April with tempuratures over 100 degrees. Additionally, any time I have needed something fixed, for some reason maintence doesn’t seem to know how to do it. Garbage disposal took 3 different times to fix, the sink handles were put on completely backwards, etc. I’m not really sure what maintence does all day besides ride around on golf carts but apparently they are always understaffed and too overwhelmed to take care of things in a timely manner. Eventually, it got to the point where I was extremely upset and had to yell on the phone trying to explain to Derek why I am so upset with my service.. Derek became condescending to me and honestly isn’t much of a pleasant experience when you have an actual issue with the apartment. When talking to Derek about being upset and explaining that I have had a maintence request for my window to be sealed for months now which hasn’t happened, because no one knew how to do it, they needed a specialist etc. He finally assured me that he had someone to do it and would call me back by the end of the day. Guess who never heard back from Derek and never got their window sealed.. yup it’s me.. totally over this apartment.. I was told not to expect new appliances because the building was built 30 years ago or something.. don’t need new things just need stuff to work. Additionally, a crew that can actually fix things would be great. My window is still not sealed and at this point I avoid calling maintence at all costs. I am so happy my lease is ending. I literally can’t wait to get out of here. Also, I do not wish to speak to management about my issues, considering every single time I do, nothing gets done and I’m told that it’s basically my issue to deal with. Figured I’d give everyone a detailed report of what it’s like to live here when you actually have issues with something, because typically they give you some excuse of an answer and hope you will just go away. I would try to consider all of my options before picking Pala Mesa as my residence..

I read reviews and they were good so I signed a year lease. This place was aweful! My door was broken and I kept getting bugs. I told the office and they said all they can do is spray but I have to call every month. They couldnt do anything about the door. Then at the end of the lease they charged me for the broken door saying it was my fault it wasnt fixed. They also charged me a pet cleaning fee even though I didnt have a pet. I got scorpions constantly and their response was some apartments here have a scorpion problem yours must be one of them then the didnt do anything to fix it or offer to spary automatically every month. It got so bad I would have to catch the scorpions so my 3 year old son wouldnt step on them. Which he did at one point when he got up to go to the bathroom. The front office people are not helpful at all and they try to do the cheapest stuff and charge you a lot for nothing. I am happy I was able to finally go somewhere way bigger and better. (For the same cost)
Lived here from July 2014-July 2015 and its the best apartment Ive lived in so far. If I didnt have to move I would have definitely stayed.
Cons: With abundant homeless nearby, the apartments felt unsafe although it was gated. Neighbors played loud music at 4am of weekdays. Night-time patrol didnt exist.Pros: not far away from light rail and groceries. Staff were overall friendly and responsive.Good for young couples who travel on light rails. But if you were an ASU student with a car and on-campus parking spot, the suggestion is to move further south at least beyond freeway 60.
I will start by saying i like the staff and the grounds are well kept. My upstairs neighbors are horrible. They play their guitar all hours of the night, they stomp around and stay until 3 in the morning nightly. Ive called the police twice and made several complaints to the office but they continue to be loud and disrupt my family. I didnt move here to get a college experience. I moved here because it was seemingly quiet and i felt safe. I am having second thoughts.
I really wanted to live here but my application wasnt approved not enough credit😥
The staffs great the area is nice quiet and safe and lie trails nearby when more can you ask
Rent is a bit much for the quality. My suggestion, if you plan to rent here, youre better off getting a house.
I complained on multiple occasions about how many scorpions were in my apartment and all the office said was some apartments get some and some dont. Anytime I would tell them something was wrong with the apartment they would tell me to call back or not fix the problem then they charged me for it at the end. The apartment was not clean when I moved in and I told them and they said there is nothing they could do at that point. The rent was too high and the neighborhood is terrible.
Prime location pretty nice residents
I give these apartments 3 stars for the following reasons. It is a nice quiet place to live conveniently by the lightrail but the issues I have are with the office staff who never seem to be willing to fix any problems. I have had a neighbor upstairs with 4 dogs yes 4. One of their dogs got loose and bit another. Well they tried to tell authorities it was my dog. Uh no i dont own ANY dogs. Animal control even came to my home. After that incident I found out they were not to have any dogs period. Well they still have a dog and to hide that they still have 1 dog unpaid for they allow it to go to the bathroom on the porch. which lets face it, drains onto my porch. So everyday my porch and the rocks surrounding my porch smell like urine sooo bad you can smell it when I open my front door. I went to the office to complain many many times. The only thing they seem to tell me well we might just have to knock on the door to see if the dog is still there they didnt so I did. Yep dog is still there. They told me we dont exactly know if that is urine felt like telling her well I do. I have to live with this problem. Even asked them if they would like to come take a look or a smell.. Nothing but the run around. Even asked if maybe they can come spray down my porch and wall.. Nothing. So now I am living with the smell of urine everywhere. I cleaned my living room rug and hung it over my porch overnight to dry 730 in the morning I go to check on it absolutely peed on. You could even see the yellow on the white. I threw my rug away because of it. I even seen it dripping from their drain to my balcony bet yet the office refuses to do anything about it. They said they will give them 48 hour notice that they are going to inspect. Well that BS gives them 48 hours to clean up their porch mess. Smh. Also everytime something gets worked on in your apartment the maintenance guy tries to give you a lecture on how to take care of the equipment in the home. Not like these were built in 1970 you know? Still rocking a 1999 microwave but give me a lecture if it were to not function? Been here two years and I will NOT be signing another lease. FED UP WITH NO RESULTS.
Ten months ago I reviewed these apt after living here only a couple months and said good things but I would like to change my opinion now that I have been here ten months (length of my lease)and now its time to renew or move and lets see i pay rent early or on time never had an issue or complaint regarding myself but now for some unknown reason they decided to raise my rent for no less then $100 being the cheapest for another 10 months and price goes up from there well that is so discouraging and definetly takes back my feelings that this place really could care about their residents because clearly they dont. I, as most people do looked for an apt for which was affordable in my budget so thats the main reason I ended up here well I havent gotten a raise or any type of increase in income (in fact I have accumulated more debt since then)and so now being faced with a rent increase for which they have no explanation why or I can move which obviously is also expensive so basically yeah you are forced to commit to another lease and go on from there so I now realize why I saw so many people moving out all the time so if u considering moving here i highly advise not too for the Same will happen to you. wish I had had prewarning and I wouldnt have moved here myself so now just another problem (big one) every month having to pay the increaase in my rent. I lived across the street prior to me moving here for 5 years and only had one rent increase of 15$and the place got new owners and completely rennovated the entire complex and would still be living there had my ex followed rules and they would have renewed my lease.but its so typical everyone everything is so based on money that we forget that human decency barely exists and pretty much no one gives a damn about anyone anymore so please i hope i helped change the mind of future renters cuz they arent gonna tell ya this when u apply for sure .
This place is the absolute worst. The front office staff is horrible. They release your information to anyone who asks for it. They charge you bogus fees at move out. And they dont accept service dogs, if you show them the paperwork like I did they still charge you.
The maintenance team was awesome
Not really good experience. The window on my room was leaking when there is a raining day. Dryer doesnt work well until you try to dry you cloth for three times. The charges for cleaning is way too much than it should be.
Its nice overall, but theres no camera and the wall is super- low, I just got mugged in summer inside pala mesa, they jump the wall and mugged me.
Scorpions everywhere
Nice place
