Cozy, bright, cheerful and laid back salon to enjoy going to. Great service and friendly. I am so happy I found this salon.

I moved to the area about a year ago. I had a hair stylist in my old city that I loved but when I moved from the area I hoped to find a new stylist here in Loveland.I found Frizzy Melon by passing them on the street.I came to get my hair partly highlighted slightly sun kissed with an all over brown color and ended up with orangish/reddish hair. I was shocked when I first looked at my hair and couldnt believe this was the result. I politely said that this was not what I wanted and after two times of correcting my hair it still looked terrible. I was there for 3 1/2 hours. This ruined every plan I had made for the rest of the day. My hair is now 2 different shades of dark brown with orange roots. They expected and did charge me for all the services even thought I had the experience that I had and never received what I had wanted. The staff was delightful at first but then became rude and unprofessional towards the end of my time spent there. The person who was supposedly in charge was a young and very rude young girl. After realizing that they did not care to make things right and that I was just another customer I paid my bill and just left.Some additional things that happened during the time I was there...My hairstylist kept placing the color on my skin around my forehead (which burned the 3rd time she tried correcting my hair). I still have coloring on my skin around my forehead after scrubbing for an hour.She splashed coloring on my phone twice, and I noticed when I got home I had some on the back of my shirt.She used a beat up/cheap looking brush and never used any untangling product on my hair until the 3rd time she had to wash my hair. I felt like she was ripping my hair out.The sinks they use to wash your hair sit a lot higher up than the chair and it is painful. I was left there for a while so toner could sit on my hair.I believe the stylist I had was not very experienced. Regardless, I would have given them another opportunity if they would have offered to correct things and make it right. Instead I was expected to pay for every service that she messed up. This was so disappointing. I love the town of Loveland and was really looking forward to finding a stylist in the area, only to have this experience. I would highly recommend any place other than here!!!

I dont like my haircut. I still have long strands on the sides where a 1 was taken to it. I asked if there was something we could do to work with the current results and the answer was no. I still paid for my cut, though a $6 discount was given which, which is fine, I didnt ask or expect something for free. However, the girl at the front counter had me show her a picture to prove the cut I got wasnt what I wanted, so that wasnt a good feeling. Then told me to go somewhere else to get the top fixed. Guess Ill have to keep looking for a good place to get my hair cut well.

The staff here are very friendly and ensure you stay comfortable throughout your session.I was here for Hair Color +Cut.(I had not cut my hair for a long time and did some home care on my greys)I am happy for my hair cut and the hospitality I received. The coloring didn’t cover my grey hair to the most; left the same feedback on their feedback portal.The team reached me on fixing my hair color with no charge. I got my hair color done right. I am happy for the coloring done right.I feel my hair was not washed well on my second visit; it was very sticky (may be due to the remains of color or the products applied after wash). I had to wash my hair again after few hours due to discomfort.

I saw Krista today for a manicure. She is professional and so nice--and my nails look beautiful! The salon is intimate and cheerful, and the employees are super friendly. The location right there in historic Loveland is awesome, and there are great eateries, breweries, and the bike trail right down the street, if you want to make a day of it! Off-street parking for the salon is a major perk, too. Looking forward to going back!

The new shampoo chairs do not recline, so it’s difficult to relax without getting a neck ache. To make up for the inconvenience customers are offered the use of stools which are more fitting for a daycare center. And although the Frizzy Melon maintains a friendly atmosphere, professionalism seems to be suffering. On two occasions requests for shelf stock to be replenished, were ignored.

Very friendly environment :^) I have curly hair and wanted my hair cut short and Kyra was very helpful and friendly. I recommend Kyra for curly hair :)

I love Frizzy Melon--I take my 3 kids there for haircuts and I get my hair cut and colored there as well! Emmie and her staff are always super friendly and the prices are great! They all do a great job and are super patient with my young kids.I also get massages by Emmie and she is the best I have ever had! Super relaxing and a great value!

Gotta love it!!! The name alone is a selling point, along with the adorable watermelon hair stylist logo! Susie at the front desk knows her stuff! Shes on it with appointments via phone & emails; & actually calls you back!!!! The stylist are sweet & I love the neighborhood, the decor inside and especially the patio with the hanging flower pots gives you a homey feeling. Definitely one of my favorite places!!!

Casey Lynn Schlachta does and awesome job. My hair is about as curly as it gets and it can be difficult to find someone that gets it. Casey gets it. She cut my hair 2 weeks ago and its the best cut ever. Ive had more people compliment me and its so easy to style. Love it. Place is very clean and everyone is very friendly.

I am very happy with the service at Frizzy Melon. I have been getting massages for years and Emmie is the best I have found. I have gone to two stylists there and loved both. I like how you can choose another stylist if yours is booked and you are not cheating. I would highly recommend them!

Ive been coming here for years, and Ive really loved the atmosphere and the people and everything! Ive been with DJ for a while, but since they changed their policy Ive worked with Casey and they are both fantastic! I love that they listen to you and work with you on getting the kind of haircut or style you want. I see kids and their parents in the salon all the time and all of the workers there are super sweet to them and try to make it as pleasant as they can--cause most kids hate haircuts. The prices are descent and reasonable... I could go on and on, but in the end Id say I HIGHLY recommend coming here and at least give it a try!Also: (Im sorry to hear that some employees left because of the policy change, but I dont think putting an strongly-worded review based on not your experience, but somebody elses is valid or considerate! Just a life tip: life is in no means fair. If you dont like it, be smart and move on! Dont make others suffer out of your own spite.)

Krista was wonderful. She took time to listen to what I wanted. She happily trimmed more when her first cut didnt give me the exact look I wanted. I will definitely use the Frizzy Melon again.

Came in with a botched haircut they fixed it and styled it for less than what I typically pay for a cut and style I like way less.
