Please Do NOT bother to use this airline. I bought 3 tickets on March 6, 2020 and its been a nightmare. You get what you pay for. My reservation has been changed and canceled about 4 times. The first time I was given an electronic credit to book within 180 days and to use within 12 months. I booked again on July 2, 2020 to travel on March 17, 2021 and I also bought an additional ticket. On February 20, 2021, I received a text stating that one of my tickets had been changed. I called customer service and I was told that my 12 year old sons ticket has been changed without a reason. So I requested to change the rest of my tickets because as I asked the agent on the phone how are you letting a minor fly alone? Once again on February 26, 2021, I received an email stating that my flight has been canceled and to contact the call center to request a refund if changing my date/time or electronic credit is not suitable to me. On March 27, 2021, I called the call center and I was told that my refund would be processed. On March 11, 2021, I called again to check the status, I was told that the refund for my ticket was never processed and that I couldnt get a refund but an electronic ticket. These thieves processed my reservations for an electronic ticket and never said anything. I never received an email with the electronic credit number other than the one from 2020 that is no longer valid. The email clearly states I could call to request a refund. I have been calling and I have been told several times that on March 1, 2021, the request for a refund was processed and that I have been credited with the refund which is not true. Today, I received an email asking me for my banking information to process my refund. I called them once again and requested to speak to a supervisor and I was told that the dept that handles the refunds is not taking calls...WOW! JUST WOW! At the beginning, I was told I would get credited to my original method of payment and that they already have my credit card information. I know that theres a lot of people that get rip off by these thieves. I have talked to several people and they rather lose their ticket than to deal with these thieves. These thieves need to be reported!!!

The worst airline and customer service ever. I checked in at 2pm. The flight departure was at 5:20 pm. We waited for the wheelchair service for about 2 hour and a half. No one could help or give a reason for the delay and I missed the flight.
Overwhelming and poorly organized. I hope their employees get paid well because the environment is so chaotic & stressful. Only bright side is prices are affordable compared to other airlines

It was challenging to find which terminal Volaris was at since one website said terminal 1 and others said near 4. Its actually in 4 and the sign hid it quiet well.Had some issues with the Kios and was asked to go to the counter. The gentalman at the counter seemed annoyed that the lady could not help us. He found the reservation and let us know what was the issue and had us go back to the Kios for the lady to fix the issue... a bit annoyed and Im glad we went there early or it would of been more stressful.Went to the Kios and there was a new lady there who was really helpful and fixed the issue with the boarding pass.
Pros: Overall airfare is the cheapest on the market.Most of the staff are friendly.Cons: Some delayed flights.Weve experienced too many gate changes.If you receive a voucher or credit dont even bother its just to much of a hassle to collect.

Be careful if you buy a drink or food in the airplane.. always check your ticket.. I order a drink pay with my card. They give me my ticket I didnt check the ticket. I have a charge from drinks that I didnt order, but we all know that volaris what to charge you for everything. Good luck and safe flight.
The gate to the enter the plane is a long walk, and hard when you have young family members with you, and carry-ons.

I have flown using Volaris Airlines and I like them because their prices are economic, their service is great, their personal are friendly and their customer service is helpful. In addition, they offer to place your carry bags in the back at no extra fee. Which is helpful because it saves you from carrying.

Pure garbage airlines, basura de aerolinea. My flight was at 4:30pm, I got the counter at 3:45pm. The lady told me I couldnt check any bags because they had closed the planes compartment, so they charged me $329 dollars to be put on a next day fligh with a stop (my original flight was non stop.) DO NOT FLIGHT VOLARIS. I repeat, DO NOT FLIGHT VOLARIS.

**WORST!!!**WORST!!!**WORST!!!**Worst airline EVER!!! My mom flew out to mexico on 01/02/19. When she arrived, one of her luggages was missing. At the airport they told her to call a customer service number because they couldnt file a report right that moment. I called customer service from here in L.A. and no answer. It took me a couple of hours to get a hold of someone to finally file a report. Once i finished talking with the person who helped me, he told me to call back within a hour to check for updates. It is now the 6th day and i have been calling the customer service department up to 4 times everyday. Sometimes they answer and sometimes i cant get a hold of anyone. Everytime someone FINALLY answer they make me go through the process of filing the report AGAIN and STILL no idea of where the luggage could be. I am now standing at the counter of Volaris at the LAX Airport and no one seems to know who could help me with this issue!!! What kind of service is this?!?!?!?! I hope the luggage is found and HOPEFULLY THIS so called airline goes out of buisness.
Volaris the worst airline to fly and the worst customer service .why we used volaris because most of the airlines make one stop from Los Angeles to Guadalajara .it was an emergency. But if you have time check aero Mexico flights are the same as volaris before 3 days of departure if they have first class seats available you can bid for them I pay only $120 extra for first class every time we flight aeromexico volaris is the chusma airlines.

I traveled with Volaris during Covid-19 pandemic; the connection flight had a 1 extra day of delay and many people had to stay in the airport while there were a huge health risk. But finally we flew and they send us a useless voucher that expires in a couple of months. Basically if you had to use that voucher you had to pay lots of money out of your pocket to fly in a pandemic! I called them about this, and told them a voucher in a pandemic is absolutely useless; and they literally said that is all you got :|Their customer service is trash; I do not recommend to fly with them.

Couldnt give one star because the price of the flight in comparison was cheaper than many others. However I got really dissapointed when they squeezed most of us next to each other with no empty seats in between while having more than 7 rows empty and kindly offered that those, who doesnt want to be squezzed in can pay extra and move to one of the empty rows in front. I am really upset that they try to bennefit from such a difficult health crisis. Of course there were few people who paid but most of those empty rows remained empty. I feel deeply sad especially when at the end of their intro you hear them saying We care about your safety when it is clearly not true...

Some of the people in the front are rude, like if we were asking for a favor when we get to the front. I try to be calmed but sometimes they just push you off your limits. They answer questions with an attitude, they dont even look at you in the eyes. I always try to be as prepared as possible because this would make both of jobs easier but some are just rude.
Horrible customer service. My daughter and brother traveled in February To Mexico City for my father’s funeral and missed the flight back. Spoke to Nelly the supervisor in Mexico City and she was no help. Not only did they want to charge us way more then other airlines for a return flight but they made us wait over 2 hours for their luggage. So, this will be our last trip with them. Do NOT fly with them.

Representatives are absolutely horrible - they served no type of help in flight clarification or assistance to the client. Economic flights are essentially scams for your money if there is an alteration to your planned flight.This airline is also extremely unclear to ensure your flight, and it is absolutely outrageous that you have to pay to an absurd amount of money to simply reschedule your flight. I understand that canceling a flight costs money, but to reschedule ALSO added to the wanted flight?I urge you find an alternative airline if you want a much more efficient booking/boarding experience. This is ridiculous.
The airline is a monopoly which gives you no option but to buy tickets from them. The personnel at the LAX terminal were kind and fast. Get there early since sometimes two flights are doing the check in at the same time and there is a limited number of employees.

I do not understand how this airline is still in business. They rip off their clients! My mom was having issues with check-in and went to the counter to get help. Well according to the agent he could not locate the boarding pass. My mom had to pay 100 pesos to get new ones. Really!! I have proof that the tickets were purchased and have a conformation number. Yet you fail to find the tickets. Beware flyers. They like to charge you for anything they can. Horrible to its clients.
Worst airline Ive ever flown with!!!! On my flight to Mexico City (from Los Angeles), first, the flight was delayed, they changed the depparting gate twice, boarding the plane was a total mess, people pushing and the attendants not doing anything to make the boarding process more organized. They did not pass the correct immigration forms before landing Once we landed and got to the gate, they waited 25 minutes before unloading the passengers.On the return flight, I tried to do it online and their website is a nightmare. When I got to the airport, they had given me the wrong information so I had to walk all the way across to reach the Volaris counter. Again, I tried to do it online without success so they told me that I had to wait in line. Their terminal was a complete mess. There were not enough attendants and once I finally reached one, they had a problem printing a boarding pass for me because the computer had me as Mr. instead of Ms.!!!! It took them 40 minutes to correct the problem! I proceeded to the assigned gate and then they re-assigned it all the way across the airport! Again, boarding was totally disorganized and the flight was delayed. Never, never had I experienced such disgusting service!!!

First off...they really do rip you off they charged $70 per check in bag. Also, Horrible service because they spoke to us like we were animals...they do not show or speak to you with any sort of respect. When we asked a question they just pointed and said over there in a very rude manner. They charged for the snacks that other airlines do not charge for. I would rather pay a little more, but at least I will receive better treatment and not get charged for every little thing. I wont be surprised if that airline completely goes out of business. I like the Volaris Los Ángeles I have been going on that plane for the past five years and the flight is great and the people who work for Volaris are very friendly.
Volaris reminds me of Southwest. However you have a designated seat. I read a lot of bad reviews about the airline and was skeptical of my flight. However when we got to the airport, everything was straight forward. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The seats are tight if youre over 510. It is worth it to pay for the seats with more leg room. I dont like the fact that if you choose a seat more than 24 hours in advance you have to pay. But I guess thats how they keep the fares so low. My wife and I picked our seats via online check in and we were able to grab seats. Make sure you do this from your home computer as soon as you get the notification email to check in. Also It would be great if they at least gave peanuts and fountain drinks. You have to pay for all food, soooo just buy your stuff in the airport terminal.
I havent even flown with them yet, because they canceled my flight 12 hours before departure. They also have a non-existent customer service chat interface, because I waited in there for 15 minutes and nobody ever showed up.I might miss a wedding in Mexico because of this horrible airline.Update: When they rescheduled my flight, they didnt change the connecting flight from Mexico City. As I landed, the connecting flight took off. The staff working for Volaris were professionals, tried their best, were attentive, and it may have taken a persistent 30 minutes but eventually I got to the right person and they magically handed me a new boarding pass with a plane that got me to three hours before the ceremony started. I was supposed to be there at 7PM the previous day. So as bad as the logistics was the staff at least were top notch. 2 years of public school Spanish did not prepare me for mi vuelo se fue antes de aterrizar. They gave me a return flight that left at 4:30AM. So that wasnt even worth sleeping for. Rough weekend, nice wedding. Travel was the worst part.
The worst airline ever, they will cancel your flight, they will not pay for hotel or any expenses that you incurred due to the cancellation, they always late, they will promise refunds to your credit card and they will not do it, they want to issuie travel vouchers for next flights only if you book within 30 days, theyre not cheap tickets, but the airlines is, only water is free on the flight, worst costumer service. Pay a little bit extra and avoif headaches, otherwise youll ruin your travel/vacation.
NOT REALLY DOG FRIENDLY. I had a really bad experience trying to fly with my dog. If you are gonna do that make sure that all the documents are exactly like they want them. 0 stars! Worst airline ever. I was forced to check my bag, even though it fits their carry-on requirements! Because of their rude customer service and being forced to check a bag, I missed my connecting flight home from Mexico City. I was then told to get home, I had to pay extra money for a flight that left 24 hrs later and NO ONE has helped alleviate the situation. Don’t fall for the cheaper prices, save yourself the headache and go with a reputable airline!

Not only did they make me check my bag on a full flight, our flight left 30 minutes late, they had us sit in the lane for almost an hour once we landed, ane then the luggage took an additional 45 minutes once we got to the carousel. So a flight that shouldve ended at 1030 PM, didnt end until after 1230 AM. Never. Fly. Volaris.

I want to thank Volaris for delaying my flight 3 hours. They notified us after the departure time of our flight. Due to this delay, we had a commercial business van stolen from our home. We could have been home BUT no we were not because of the delayed flight. So thank you, we will never fly with you again! The worst!!!!!

I was traveling with my 3,000 road bike. And it got lost. No word or anything. Its like the dam box which was 6ft x 4ft weighing 100 pounds never existed. I paid over 100$ to take with me. There all crooks. Avoid his airline if your traveling with anything you dont want to lose. once before my bike arrived 3 planes later and I had no idea what was going on. I just happened to be eating near a view of the landing strip and saw my box in the tarmac. it was hell to PAY someone to go get it for me. hell no never again

I hate this airline! Im only giving 1 star because I have to in order to write this review. Only use volaris if you dont mind being ripped off! One of the worst airlines ever. I have flown with them several times because we thought we were saving money, but in the end they slap you with fees left and right. If you do the math, you might be paying twice as much as what your ticket originally costs. The experience as been horrible every single time! If you are a tall person, be ready to be cramped and uncomfortable in their child size seats. Im surprised they dont charge for breathing in the airplane!! Their service sucks! Every single employee I have encountered in this airline has been rude. I would give them a -10 stars if I could. I have witness them disrespect many other customers and cant remember friendly employees. I have seen customers cry and be frustrated to no end! Save yourself a headache and money and chose another airline.

Disappointed!! After years of using the Volaris service I was relatively happy with their economic fares. However you can always judge a company by when you need their help most. I had bought a fare for my Father to leave about 8 days prior to take off due to family in Mexico telling us that his sister was very sick. About 5 days later the Family asked if we could send him sooner so we changed the ticket paying an additional $48 dollars after having purchased the Executive Package to protect against this in the first place. As I was finishing changing the ticket my Dad’s sister died. I called back in the next 30 minutes to see if they could just change it for the next flight available without cost being that I had just paid, due to trying to now send my Dad to see his sister for her funeral. It was deplorable, I was told, it is COMPANY POLICY to not reimburse any charges and basically that it was not their problem. I then pleaded with them to say how could they take advantage of this very sad situation and make a profit from it, again they told me it is company policy…. I could not believe that this was their stance, they are WORSE than the American Corporations with their GREED. I will never buy another ticket for myself or family and furthermore will make it a point to spread the word of this almighty POLICY to my friends, family, and co-workers, and anyone who will listen, because after all word of mouth is much more powerful than any POLICY. Sad very sad…..

I called the customer service and was told the fee for an extra luggage of 55lbs was $45. At the airport they charged me &100 for the extra luggage of 55lbs. The person at the counter told me the $45 is if you charge it in advance. $100 is the price of the luggage at the airport.Be aware!
My father had an accident while visiting Mexico, he was hospitalized, hit his head and was on the verge of dying.I purchased a fligth tickets as soon as I was notifued of his accident.Luckily, my family was able to transfer my father from Mexico to California.I informed Volaris and provided doctor documentation and Volaris still refuses to make a refund.All the representatives do not care.The representatives at Volaris are not human, then refuses to understand this tragedy of a situation that occur and instead of giving me a refund to help pay for my fathers medical bills they ignore me.AVOID PURCHASING FROM THIS AWFUL COMPANY.AVOID IT YOU WILL REGRET IT

The planes are really out dated, the food and drinks you do need to pay for. They give nothing on any flight and coming into LAX was a nightmare, thought we were early bit had to wait 1hr for the plane to park, another 30-40 mins to finally get to immigration, adding on some time to get my bags. I know airport takes its time, but really almost 2 +hrs to get to leave LAX...I would have rathered paid the charge to fight on a better airline.

Avoid this airline. I was told I could take two small bags on board with no cost. I still got charged 50 bucks because the weight limit was just a bit over. I tried removing some things to meet the weight limit and the attendant told me she was going to charge me anyway so I had to pay regardless. Never flying with them again. Oh and funny thing is i had just arrived a few hours earlier from a different flight with Alaskan airline and still had the same baggage.

They left me behind at LAX, as the agent called her Superior, telling him I was hostile and unwilling to rebook... Who is unwilling to rebook??... WHO wants to donate their money to an airline without taking the flight? They dont even make up credible lies, but they stick together, and call airport police on you.Sad that they even get ONE star here.PLEASE spend the extra $30 for the other airline seat... Being treated like an animal is not worth saving the money. Zero dignity with Volaris. I have flown with Volaris 200 times. This was the last straw.

Worst airline ever. They canceled our flights twice. And make it almost impossible to get a refund. We gave them everything they asked for just so they can say their computers our down and now want a letter from our banks. I would never recommend this airline to anyone not even to my worst enemy.

We bought theinternational tickets online, good prices, nice and very helpful employees. Make sure you know what you are paying for, 1 check-ing luggage 55 lbs, and 1 or 2 personal bags combined 22 lbs. with you, (or else you going to end up paying more), or if you want more bags, I check-in online and $90 dollars for extra 55 lbs. luggage, its cheaper to pay online.
Yelp please let us give ZERO stars!!! My 2nd & last time I ever use this airline! You pay extra for seats, you pay extra for not using a Mexican passport, you pay even more than premium Airlines for checked baggage. DO NOT let the initial low price fool you, you will use your credit card again! But what it flipping ku lip right now is that fact I paid an additional $29usd for 2 seats in aisle 7 & they changed it to 15, after 14 they are free (I hear the guy in the counter tell another passenger). Oh yeah...even the international kiosks at LAX dont recognize them! Out if 20 kiosk only 4 had their airline! And also if you have 2 last names (as all Hispanics we do) you have to put BOTH last names on you ticket. If not youre sent to the opposite end of the Terminal to another 2 make shift counters where only they can correct the name, bc for whatever reason the dozen established counter at their terminal can not do this. And then walk all the way again to the main counters for baggage drop off and all of this (3 one way long walks) with my mother in tow who requires a wheelchair & they couldnt give it to her until she had her boarding pass, which we couldnt get bc the main counter cant fix what the other counter next to fricken Starbucks can!Oh please please someone from this airline contact me! I am not thru with you!

I wouldn’t event give them 1 star! They are horrible! I would avoid flying with volaris! I had to pay $200 for 2 check in baggage that weight less than 50lbs. They told me that those are their prices... $100 per luggage Is too much. There is no savings with volaris, I rather spend my money at another airlines with better service and probably spend less money. I also purchased a ticket for my child which included 2 carry on; however when I checked in the attendant told me that because she is a child she was not entitled for a carry on. I paid full price for her ticket so why would she not be entitled for a carry on? Makes no sense to me.
I recently flew with Volaris, and this was my experience.I bought a ticket to fly to El Salvador, but I had an emergency medical procedure on the date of my flight. I called them and told them about my procedure and asked if they could change it to the next day. They said they could, but they would charge me around $500. I explained to them that it was an emergency medical procedure, and a supervisor from Volaris said they could change my flight without charge if I gave them a Doctors Note.So, I got a letter from my Doctor explaining my medical procedure, and I sent it to them. I got an email from one of their representatives acknowledging my doctors note, and was told to call them back. On the phone, I was told that my flight would be changed, and I would be given credits to pay for the changed flight. However, I was told that I had to change my return flight as well. So essentially, I had to cancel my whole initial flight and re-buy my tickets using the credits. But, what they didnt tell me was that the credits couldnt be stacked, so I had to re-buy the tickets and pay for the remainder, which in total was more than $500.And, to add insult to injury, I flew to El Salvador with two carry ons that weighed less than 22lbs in total, which is what was allowed on my tickets. On my way to El Salvador, I had no issues and was not charged. However, on my way back to the US, they told me I had to pay for the extra carry on. I explained to them that the ticket explicitly said I could bring two carry ons so long as they weighed less than 22lbs between the two. The volaris representative told me to show him the proof that I was allowed to take two carry ons. I pulled up my ticket and I showed him the two carry on bag allowance, and he said, that that wasnt enough proof. He said I could either leave my bag behind, or pay him $35 to take my bag with me, so I ended up paying.PLEASE be cautious when you fly with Volaris.
I dont get all the negative reviews, you pay for an economy airline and thats what you get, employees are always willing to help I have never had a problem with them. Will definitely keep flying with them
Ive never ever written a review before, but I feel like I would be doing others a disservice. Do not use them. Liars on all levels. We has a trip plan but or son got sick( hospital sick.) We had to cancel our trip. Accordingly to their policy they cannot refund our money($1200.00.) Now, I wasnt expecting the full amount, maybe partial amount,maybe a credit, but nothing. Thats just wrong. I called their customer care to rectify the situation. I was told I had to send my sons inpatient info and his birth certificate to show that we are related and maybe they can do something. So I sent them the info........ For some unknown reason their email address dont work. What a surprise. I call back and told them I want to speak to a supervisor and tell them that their multiple emails they gave me to send info do not work. They kept playing games with me telling me I was at fault for them not receving the emails and they are getting emails from others and Im the only one with the problem. I should really negative 1 star. They mislabeled my suitcase and sent it to the wrong airport. Then refused to give me information when I demanded to know why it was taking more than 48 hours to figure out their mistake. A month later Im still being given incorrect information and they want to make me jump through hoops to get my luggage refund.They accused me of forgetting my suitcase at my destination airport.They made no effort to get details to me without my demanding it.DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!!
Volaris is located in The Tom Bradly International Airport. You can park across from it in parking lot P4.
Volarís it’s one of the airlines with most violations, they double sale tickets and will not care wile in mexico, not the US violating passenger rights some of them non English speaking will be treated even worse,Hopefully the us government can look deeper in to there business practices wile operating here in the US.I will call the FAAI will call the US governmentI will call senatorsAnd hope will be the first steps to get this low life air line out of the US.
The worst airline Ive had to deal with. TERRIBLE customer service, terrible charges for everything (they probably would charge for how many breaths you take on the plane) after buying tickets all of the fees we have had to pay for this and that and whatever have added up to MORE than our tickets and taxes. This will be myy first and last time with this sorry excuse of a business.
Can I give them a -5 they lost my dads luggage and they hope we wait and forget about it like its nothing. We have been calling them from here and from Mexico and here they would just said to give them time but the gave really bad attitude to my sister in Mexico and pretty much told her it is lost and do whatever you want. Im like seriously????? This is bs

Volaris is horrible, they lost our business after this past experience. We walked up to the check in desk right as they announced the last call for our flight. The supervisor Humberto was awful and did NOT honor the services we paid for. VOLARIS CHEATED US OUT OF OUR MONEY! We could overhear other customers being treated poorly and the employees refusing to check them in even though they had just warned final call! The fact that Humberto has his title appalls me, he has no sense of customer service and is an outright rude person. Thank you Natalie for being selfless and helping us out!
Hidden charges, terrible customer service, dirty airplanes. Web site is horrible to navigate. Wouldnt let me pay in US dollars, keeps crashing. The owner should be ashamed. Volaris is nothing to be proud of. I would rate it a big fat 0 if zero was an option. Unfortunately this is the only airline that serves Los Angeles and Zacatecas Mexico.The only positive attribute is the.....????? Couldnt find one:)
Arrived just like it was shown didn’t wait long at all and parking P-4 was just right out front only paid like $9 for parking was very quickly thanks !!
