This is the second time I’ve had to take my car back in after they’ve worked on it. This time it’s squeaking after a break change. I have an infant that has to eat at 8 am so I called to see if I brought it in at nine if they could fix whatever was squeaking… she said she couldn’t guarantee they’d get to it today. It was YOUR mistake. So I would wait all day with an infant only to not have a car at the end of it. I called back after I had hung up on her to see if they had a loaner car. She offered to have the manager drive it while I waited to see what was wrong with it… and then they’d go from there. That’s nice, but I’m not driving all the way with an infant just to have them tell me what they did wrong. They couldn’t get it right the first time why should I trust that you’re going to get it right the second or in this case the third. Poor customer service. At least have a loaner car.

They do excellent work for far cheaper than the dealer, and have twice said theres anything wrong, or that far less needs to be done than the dealer claimed-- they dont make stuff up to get money out of you!! Always very happy with them

I’ve been taking my cars here for over a decade. They are always 100% honest and fairly priced. Recently had an issue with my brakes and rotors. They were still under warranty and they took care of it at no cost to me. They could have easily sold me some other issue and I would have had no clue. Great Auto shop.

I had a extensive project with replacing a internal water pump, timing chain, struts and some other required maintenance . My Brakes had been squeaking for awhile, They got me in next day, when my hometown shop scheduled me a week out. The work was exemplary and the price was fair. 4 brakes, 4 rotors. $770 on an older model dodge charger. and it took approximately 6 hours. Same day in and out. All in all very impressed.

Very friendly people there I dropped it off at noon and it was done by 4:00 I took my work truck in there and I need it for work so they did a great job of getting it out for me as soon as possible

My grandmother has been going to AE Auto Care for several years and each member of the staff have gone above and beyond standard service, with every single one of her visits. When she walks in the door, they greet her by name and treat her like they would their own family. Initially, she had gone to them for a second opinion for an expensive fix on her Cadillac. Come to find out, the place she had gone to beforehand was trying to charge her for something she didnt need. The staff let her know it was unnecessary and provided the services she actually needed. She now has a Lincoln and only uses AE Auto Care for any and all services she needs. Im grateful for their honesty as my grandmother is not well-versed in the automotive world and they could over charge her for any of the services she requires, but they never have. Theyve gone so far as to ensure that anything she ever needs she gets the most fair price and will call around for parts to make it so. They are truly an establishment that concerns themselves with the customer first and that is why they have such an amazing reputation around the city. I trust that each time my grandmother goes in she is in the best hands in Livonia and the surrounding area. They are as honest as they come, in this industry, and you would be remiss to use any other auto service.

AE Auto is a great place where you can take your car or truck to be serviced and not be overcharged and you can trust them.

From a diesel pickup to 4 midsize cars they have gone above and beyond excellent work on my vehicles. Ranging from a simple brake job up to and including replacing a blown engine I have zero complaints. Only one time did I have to bring a job back to them and it was corrected in less then 20 minutes. If there is such a thing as a 10 star rating they would deserve it.

Art has been servicing my familys vehicles for years, and we rave about A&E. They are fair priced, and do not let you leave dissatisfied. I took my Jeep in for a loud bearing, they replaced it and made sure it was quiet when I took it back. I appreciated the patience they had with me, explaining what was going on. This is a great shop.

This is the most honest auto place me or my family has ever been to. Been going here for 20 years. Steve and Steve know their stuff and are NOT looking to rip anyone off. Theyve saved me a lot. I moved to Ann Arbor last year and I still drive back here for my car to get work done. For example, today Im getting trans work done. The best auto mechanic in A2 quoted me $287. AE quoted me $130. Their service is cheaper, they dont overcharge, and they are straight up honest with you. I almost didnt even want to leave a review, lest my little gem of an auto place be flooded with customers. There is no better place is southeast Michigan. Period.

Best place I ever took my car and van. They always find the problem at a reasonable price and they go above and beyond what one might expect. Example: I was having a problem with my power windows alarm and door locks. It was some kind of electric relay switch that was corroded. They called the dealer to get a replacement part, but the part cost a $1000 dollars so they took it out and cleaned it up everything has been working fine since. It has been several months and all is still working fine. Oh, and the best part, they charged me $49 dollars. Customer for life! I wonder if the dealer would have done that. Ha ha.

Been doing business with AE for years. We buy high mileage vehicles and drive them until they rot away because it saves us money. I do a lot of my own service but use AE for jobs I dont have the time or tools to tackle. Generally they offer me alternatives that save me money.

Great team of people. Front desk Service guys are top notch. One of them even came out and jumped my car to get me there when my alternator was having issues.Unfortunately, we had some miscommunication about the services I expected from them and a couple things we left undone and a bit below standard. However, I brought it to their attention (actually long after the fact) and they were quick to make it right with a very fair partial refund on one of the parts. I left satisfied even though I think I found another shop Ill keep visiting otherwise.

Well I went to them for service on my van; they were the upmost professional. I wanted work done and was willing to pay the $1000 plus to do so; unfortunately they wouldnt allow me, to have work done that apparently didnt need it and or needed right away. The communications were awesome, especially when sometimes I can be considered to be over worried and having lots of questions. At the end of the day, only what was necessary was done and cost me a 3rd of what I was willing to pay. I am great full and will continue to do business here as long as the service remains patient and honest as they were with me this week! Thumbs up guys!

Drop off car over night to have it looked at, come back pay 30.00, with a nice dent in the body. I bring it to there attention and of course they are going to deny it. Dont recommend this place. Theres no way I can give half star, so here goes a star you dont deserve.

Took vehicle in for Service engine light, rough running, exhaust leakage .Repaired exhaust leak which broke in 7 days .When picked up was running rough, service engine lamp came on with in few miles .Also had oil change that oil drain plug was left loose leaking oil . Absolutely Nothing was done correctly .

I began taking my Solstice there about 4 years ago for a heater issue (the resister melted and they had to rewire)...less than $100 later, I was on the road. Now everyone in my family takes their car there for repairs, no matter the extent. Every review Ive read talks about their honesty, and I can truly say I agree. They do not try to rip you off, and Steve explains, in detail, the repairs to be performed before doing so. From sports cars to SUVs, A&E is the place to go for trustworthy and reliable service.

I have been here a handful of times for minor repairs for our two cars - new brake pads, an oxygen sensor, tires and they have been wonderful. They always squeeze us in on Saturday mornings and the prices are fair. I trust them to treat me well and fix the problem quickly.

Ive taken my vehicle here twice. Once for tires and once for breaks. Called today around 130 because I heard squeaking. They got me right in. Finished the job in an hour. Gave me a right home and back go the shop once everything was done. Reasonable prices and the staff is great!

I first brought my car to them about a year ago because i heard good things about them and saw they had great reviews. Let me tell you- these guys are the best! I drive a 25 year old Volvo and its hard to find someone that is reliable and willing to work on it. Theyve always been honest and up front about all repairs and are very reasonably priced; cheaper than anywhere else and QUALITY work. Now i only take my car to them when it needs servicing. Even when theyre busy, they usually find time even to just look at your car so at least you know what to expect before they get to work. Dont trust your cars with anybody else, take them to AE!

A pre-purchase inspection at AE Auto Care saved me from buying a used car that needed at least $2000 in repairs. Steve Letwinski delivered the bad news with empathy and offered advice on how to proceed. My son and I were disappointed because we liked the car but it would have been worse if wed bought a lemon. Not only did they not fix my problem of my car being loud the first time, but I tried to make an appointment Friday evening, and Saturday to be told the person making appointments is out? I get my car in and they finished the same day. I can imagine from them not taking any appointments for the entire weekend. Then I was charged again for labor. Then I asked to speak to a mechanic, and who wouldve guessed there was no mechanic there at the time. Just a terrible experience.

I have been bringing my cars here for years because I trust them. My latest problem was a power steering failure. I was expecting a power steering pump replacement but I got a call from them and they told me there was an electrical connection that came undone and they corrected it for a small service charge.

I made my appointment online and brought my car in on that date. The work was completed before lunch time. Thanks, guys! You have been taking care of my cars for a long time now. Used to go to them all the time. However, I took my car in for a loose vacuum hose, they fix that but then the hood of my car is smoking. They say the oil filter is leaking oil onto the exhaust so they just put it back. I even have them do basic checks to avoid any random other mishaps. I get my car back and it still is producing smoke and tons of fluid everywhere(!) I know sometimes random stuff happens, but it seems they were not very thorough in finding and/or fixing the problem to begin with. Not offering to pay for towing when I called about it either rubbed me the wrong way. If they decide to take care of me since Ive brought my car in twice now, maybe Ill change my review. But as it stands its getting sketchy.Update: Tool was left under my hood. Fell to the ground after being mostly melted. Unbelievable.Also, it was transmission fluid NOT oil that was leaking originally they were just too lazy to take the time to actually service their customers. (!)

From dropping the car off thru picking it up, the service is great! I have had work done on all of my vehicles and referred others there as well. Steve is great and does a fantastic job explaining the problems and options to fix it. Ive compared prices and they are very competitive. The most important piece is their honesty! While I was convinced I had an issue with my mini-van they assured me it was fine. They couldve easily found a problem and charged me for it but they didnt, instead Steve sent me on my way, without charging me for the diagnosis.....he knows Ill be back!

Car broke down so I decided to try a place closer than my usual mechanic. I come back the next to see what they have found when in fact they couldnt locate the problem and only had a suggested solution which would take a few days to repair. I said I would rather take it to my mechanic I usually go to in which they said they were charging me a fee which wouldnt even go towards the repair even if I stayed at this location. They then lied and said they told me about the fee from the beginning which is completely untrue. Had I known this I wouldnt have gone in the first place but their dishonesty took the rein. The supervisor Steve was also condescending to me over the phone when I was asking questions about what was going on with my vehicle. Took it to my mechanic and had the problem diagnosed in an hour and fixed by the next morning. Absolute waste of money going here. Provided me with nothing but a negative experience.

Needed a headlight replaced and for literally the same cost as it was to get my headlight replaced a couple months ago someplace else, I got my headlight changed, oil changed, complete inspection, two other lights replaced, fluids topped off and my car was done while I waited in like an hour. Never before have I run across such fair prices and awesome service. I got very lucky finding this place and my car will never be serviced again by anyone except these folks....... I drive my car all the way from Plymouth to take it here and I probably pass 25 other auto service centers on the way!

My first visit went great. They fixed a problem that other garages had failed to fix and did it inexpensively.Not impressed after my 2nd trip. They misdiagnosed my car and wouldnt listen to me. I know exactly whats wrong with it. This car has had the same problem for going on 2 years. Im not wasting time replacing parts that have already been replaced multiple times.

Never had such a horrible experience in my life. It was to the point I felt so belittled I was standing there being talked down to with tears in my eyes. I ended up taking the quote they gave to my typical oil change place and they informed me they put codes in that werent really there and tried to over charge me $400+ AND tried to charge me for work I did not approve of prior. Long story short, this place is dishonest and I would NEVER go back. Buyer beware!
