I tried different places but always end up back here. I’m staying here from now on. All do a good job, but I love Ana especially. She’s my fav. She does an amazing job and she’s fast! Thank you Ana!

Ive been going here for over a year and I must say, I was disappointed. Went in for a soak off and a new full set. When I say soak off, that means soaking off all the old acrylic. Usually this process takes about 15-20min. Instead, I soaked for about 10 min. When it came time for my new set to be applied, the nail tech had her brush loaded and was ready to start. I asked dont you have to apply the primer? The look on her face was priceless. OH MY...I knew I was forgetting something was her reply. SERIOUSLY! I wonder how many others this has happened to? Without the primer, the nails will pop off. Guess its time to find another place to get my nails done

Very nice nail salon, but I dont really have anything to compare it to because I havent been to any other nail salons in Jacksonville yet. Quite pricey and they do expect a tip but they can do custom designs that are amazing! 😊 Me and my daughters had a nice time.

I really enjoy my time coming to this salon. They always make me feel welcomed and get me in quickly . I always leave feeling pampered and taken care of. I truly appreciate that part of the nail salon. They all seem to care about making their guests happy. I will be back :D

I was a friendly welcomed walk-in and wanted the dip powder with a set of tips. I absolutely adore the end results and my tech, Angela, was fabulous. She gave her attention to the details my fingers needed. I had rough cuticle beds and working hands with short nails, but now my nails are just the razzle dazzle I was looking for.I will definitely be returning to Angela and recommend this place to anyone looking to treat themselves.

Very clean and very professional! The prices are pretty expensive and there’s always an awkward moment if you don’t tip. I enjoy tipping but they’re prices make it hard to willingly do. (I usually tip, but sometimes I don’t if the price is already through the roof). There are plenty of techs to alleviate a long wait time. I do recommend. They are one of the best of Jacksonville NC Nail spas.

Very friendly service and a clean, nice looking salon but their prices are higher than other salons and in my experience, the quality does not justify the extra cost. I actually had to get a set of acrylics fixed at another salon because they were very bulky and unnatural looking.

I had a gift certificate that was way expired and they honored it. I received the gift certificate right before the pandamic started, so I really appreciate them still taking it. Ben, is I believe who did my pedicure and he did a excellent job. I got the deluxe gel pedicure and manicure. It was so nice. I hadnt had my nails done since last January and it was also the longest I have been away from my daughter. They had music on in the background and home improvement show on the tvs. Place was clean. The woman who did my manicure, I didnt catch her name, but she did a fantastic job as well. My nails needed this, I needed this and I know Ill be back.

If I could give negative stars I would. Nancy is the rudest nail technician I have ever been in contact with In my life. She didn’t like my choice of polish and was constantly complaining about my polish. She went as far as to say this is not cute on you, you need pink ( as a black woman that was not appreciated) and then asks if I bought cheap polish why didn’t I have a dryer. I like certain colors that the shops don’t carry no other nail shop has ever treated me this way. She claimed she was the manager and refused to give me the owner information. Nancy is tremendously rude and Unprofessional.

Probably best to make an appt with someone you know is good. Last time I had Ivy and she was great! But this time I had someone different and it was a rough and bumpy ride so I ended with the “express” pedi and decided to not get a mani with this one in particular... Very pushy, doesn’t really listen to what you say. Wax for my brows was too hot after I mentioned I burn easily and sometimes scab. Not a relaxing experience. I even got a push up from the wax table. 🤣

The staff are friendly and helpful with suggestions, particularly Angela. The place is immaculate and they take great care of you. The mani pedi makes you feel like you spent a day at a spa

Love this nail salon. My polish on my thumb nails came off on the tips in a week went back to them and they fixed them right away with no charge. Will be back.

I loved my experience here I came as a walk in while they were busy and had no wait time the nail tech was so polite and she offered me a beverage as well the facility was super clean and the staff was friendly my nails were just perfect!!

So had a great experience today with my mother. We got the premium pedicures, and Oh My Goodness is that the way to go! We probably sat there a good hour, maybe more. No wait just pure feet bliss! Massage, hot wax, mask, scrub, more more more. Ugh, such a relief to have such a good experience here! Will be back, may add the hands in next time.

Always have a nice experience here. Sometimes a bit rushed but if you come during a slower time of day you will be glad you were there.

I was a little hesitant to come since I read some pretty bad reviews but a coworker recommended it.. I was very please with the pedicure especially after the terrible experiences I’ve had in other salons in the area. I will definitely be coming back

A great experience! I actually followed a Facebook thread that another friend had posted looking for a good place to get a pedicure. This place was highly recommended, I went once and was hooked. I’ve now been three times and always ask for the same person, Amy. Everytime I call to make an appointment they are so nice on the phone. It’s a very nice salon, they practice social distancing, and you must wear a mask, that’s to be expected everywhere now. I’ve lived in this area for 25+ years and have been to many salons, I will make the 40 drive to come here for a pedicure.

Tracy did a gel french tip manicure on my nails and she did an amazing job! She was extremely detailed and took her time to make sure the nails looked great. Very sweet as well I would recommend her to anyone, sadly she is leaving to go back home sometime in February. Thank you Tracy and safe travels!

The building is nice. However, if you are a woman of color they treat you like youre going to leave without paying. The nail tech literally stopped in the middle of painting my nails and told me to go pay. First and last time I visited.

I got a pedicure a few days, was nicked on the cuticles and cut when they shaped my nails. My toe is now infected and in pain. The tools were not properly cleaned for an infection like this.

This place was horrible. Worst service I ever had and did a bad job on my nails and my friends. I was rudely talked to the whole time I was there by 3 people. DO NOT COME HERE. Never coming again and will let all my friends and family know not to come to this place. I Wish I could rate this place lower than 1 star.

They were really busy, which I took as a great sign, based on the size of the place. And I liked my nails well enough (fill and gel polish). But in under 3 days, two of my nails had half the gel polish lift up and chip off, and 2 other nails had started to lift as well. I called to ask about getting them fixed, and they said they could fix them, but I would have to pay for the repair and new polish. I have never had gel nails chip like that.

I had a full set put on. My nails were incredibly uneven and not even shaped the same. It took longer than usual for the service. They were friendly but I will not be returning because of the ending result being so uneven and unattractive. Also, their pricing for a full set is a little higher than average. I still tipped well but left disappointed.

Went in here without an appointment about 30 minutes after opening and they were able to take me in right away. I got a simple gel manicure, which came out amazing! And Tim who did my nails was awesome, really attentive, and he made sure my nails were perfect before I left. I will definitely be coming back!

If I could Rate 0 stars I would!!!. I used to love getting pedicures here so I decided to give them a try for my SNS with a slight tip since I was in the area and was headed out of town!, long story short the tech used the wrong color, got upset when I asked her to redo to the color I originally picked. Instead of removing the color she dipped over the color stating that she would have to soak off the tips to redo! I paid well over 40.00 for this service and had to leave there and go to another salon paying over $50 for a redo. Ive called several times asking to speak to a manager with no luck

The gentleman who did my nails was amazing, very gentle, beautiful job on my nails too. Can not say a bad thing. Got a pedicure a couple of weeks ago and the lady was so nice and polite. Wonderful place to go.

I get different cultures conversations are different but providing nail services to a potential bride and telling her that her husband is just going to leave her in a few years is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. If you cant be decent human beings, then stop being in the service industry. PERIOD.This establishment is only focused on the revenue rather than the customer experience. I do not support this business method in the service industry as word of mouth travels fast and customer experiences are what SHOULD be the most important.Figure that out or shut your doors so your staff doesnt offend customers with their idiotic statements.

I have been coming to Grand Nail Salon for months. Today, I went in for a fill-in Ombre. Well, the male tech had drilled extremely deep into my finger. The tech had stated that I was moving which had caused the situation. This was extremely false. I was completely confused on how I could have caused the situation. I had snatched my hand away just like a person who had accidentally touched a hot stove. Its called a reflex🤦‍♀️ Also, he had charged me the price of a new set. Also, I had asked to speak with the person in charged. He had tried to make it seems like it was my fault as well, but he was not there. All I can say is that they have lost three customers. Have a goodnight.

Went in at 5pm for a pedicure and salon was practically empty; one customer having manicure and one customer having a pedicure. My technician filled the pedicure basin with cool, not even lukewarm water, and proceeded to allow me soak my feet for less than 5 minutes without the jets even on. My toenail (big toe) was cut at a diagonal, not even straight. There was no way to even it out without cutting the whole nail even shorter which would have looked awkward. The salt scrub pedicure includes callus removal in which she barely buffed either foot with a callus file. From start to finish was around 30 mins. I will not return to this salon. She seemed in a hurry to get back to watching videos on her phone.

Worst pedicure I have ever had. Paid 50 dollars for pedicure and gel. Could see right through the polish...cuticles were not cleaned up......just a really bad job...will not be going back.

Should stick to the policy if you are 10 minutes late your appointment is cancelled. And not squeeze customers in when you have less the 15 before your next customer.

I have been going monthly to get gel pedicures. The last 3 months that I have gone there I have left with bleeding feet. When they try to scrape off the gel polish, they use a coarse file that they rub all over the skin next to the nail (this wouldn’t happen if they weren’t in such a hurry and took the time to make sure t was only touching the nail.) it rubs my skin raw, causing bleeding. They then pour all sorts of chemicals in to the open wound, including alcohol. It hurts so much. The last 3 times I have gone, my toes have bled on the way home and then scabbed over. I had 4 scans around my toe nails last month and it looks AWFUL. I spend way to much money here to have this consistently happening.I tried to call the manager as soon as I left today to make him aware, by their phone system/phone lines are so awful you can’t hear anything they say except static. Same things happens when you call to make an appointment. When making previous appointments I literally have to yell in to my phone what time I want to come in and who I want to see and hope for the best.The only reason they got a 2 start rating was because this place is actually clean and well lit. The service is terrible.

The salon is very nice, but the owner and some of the workers are rude. The quality of work that they do should be way better for how nice the salon is. I don’t recommend trying to get anything trendy or current at this salon they can’t even do coffin shape and they use cheap products that don’t last.

I had an awful experience here. I went here for the first time because of the atmosphere and convenience of the location, but sadly their customer service and quality of work is awful. My nails had the polish smudged before leaving and it was corrected at that time but I still returned because they did the same within an hour. The manager told me I didnt have to come back if I didnt like their services. Told me I had to be careful with my nails, even when eating a meal causes the freaking polish to come off. He was rude and I got rude too! I wouldnt have left a review if he would have handled the situation better. Poor customer service gets me everytime and he doesnt have it. I wont be returning.

This is absolutely the worst nail salon around. Just got my nails done on Sunday by the manager and the first nail broke on Monday. I always get dip French manicure overlay at every salon I go to. Typically my nails last for 3-4 weeks, and I have never had a problem in the past. I went to another salon, Sun nails in Sneads Ferry to get the nail fixed. However, this evening another different nail broke. I called and requested to speak with the manager, he was the biggest jerk. He claims he knows how to do nails and didn’t do anything wrong. However, if you look at all the reviews below... everyone has the same issue with the manager. I will never return and I will make sure that I tell everyone else to avoid this nail salon at all costs. Biggest scam and unprofessional staff around.

Ever since I went in, I fell in love. The people there are quick and efficient. Though you have to get there early because it’s usually packed, I still think Grand Nail Salon is amazing

Needless to say it is the most plush location in town with very good customer service. We have our favorites of course but they staff us friendly and they do nail and pedi services well.

Wish I could give them a NEGATIVE star review. It seemed as though it was the first time EVER that the staff member doing my pedicure had ever done one. The manager was of NO help; was actually very rude that I dared to ask that someone else take care of me. I left with a bleeding toe and nicked polish because even though I was told it was fine, she messed it up with her finger. I was so stressed out from something that SHOULD be very relaxing, that I left without getting it fixed!!!

Got a pedicure ladies are both nice they even let us come in earlier than they open. My feet felt amazing when leaving. I would totally recommend their pedicure

This salon is a crock, they have completely ruined my nails. I liked the appearance of the salon, but the people who work there not so much, the man who did my toes was a complete jerk, kept making continuous digs about my feet being swollen and me being chunky, I am usually a size 6 and 7 months pregnant, but the man who did my nails was semi-decent. I went there about two weeks ago with a group of friends, this is not my normal salon, we had pedicures done and I had full set done. This was not my first time having acrylic nails. Two days ago, I had a nail break off which when it did completely ruined my nail, I have never seen anything like it before. I made an appointment at my regular salon and went in to have it looked at, in hopes they could just put on a new nail and fill-in the old. I had no idea what I was getting into. She suggested that we soak-off my nails, which I have had done before, and in normally 20 minutes or so they are off. I soaked for over 2 1/2 hours in the soak off bowl, as well as my technician using the e-file, and what ever product they used at this salon is still not completely off of my nails. It is honestly almost like they used concrete, the white tip underneath completed melted underneath the top and the acrylic or quick-rete as I am now referring to it, didnt even budge. My technician informed me that my nail plate has suffered a lot of damage, and now my nails are ruined, which I still have a layer of the product on my nails.Unless you want your nails ruined I would go somewhere else. I am completely dissatisfied and will never be going back.

Phillip asked how the manicure was every step of the way to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and was even more picky about certain things than I was!Overall a very relaxing experience in a clean and nice environment. If youre looking for a new nail salon, this is it!

The people are polite. And funny and they offer you something to drink which most places dont. I like the atmosphere and the overall ambiance of the place. Its real professional.

Don’t spend your money where you are not welcomed. My experience was nothing short of traumatic. I visited with a family member who wouldn’t normally go here but her nail tech was booked. I was a client of Michelle who was very snippy and heavy handed. She attempted to upsale me and when I refused, she demanded that I pay her before her services were rendered. When I informed her that we were paying together, she and the male tech helping my family member next to me began to talk and she said we could pay him later. (Mind you no one else had been asked to pay prior to their services). She cut my cuticle which caused me to bleed and tried to hide it while she got cotton pads. In the end she told me to go dry my hands and left me hanging and told me not to touch anything because she didn’t have time to fix it. This is a very hostile environment and while I’m aware they will continue to receive business, given the other comments about them telling customers to leave if they don’t like it; if you’re reading this I urge you to take your business elsewhere.

Absolutely beautiful place which is the only reason for 2 stars. The lady that did my nails (wish I could remember her name) had the WORST attitude and was unprofessional. I told her 2 times that I wanted regular polish but she still went and got everything ready for gel, then caught an attitude when I told her again regular nail polish, as she huffed and puffed. Her energy overall made me feel uncomfortable, I should have left.. I also noticed that only “certain” people was offered drinks.

Went to get a full set and after telling the lady what I wanted multiple times and letting her know if she could fix certain things as she was doing my nails, she kept giving me excuses and did nothing to fix them. I decided to just thank her and go about my way without even getting any nail polish. And although she could clearly tell I was NOT happy with the service she did not care because I still paid full price even though I feel like I shouldn’t have. Highly disappointed. Aloha nails is a much better place, go there instead!

THIS PLACE IS BEYOND TRASH! I stopped going here for my nails chipping 2 days after a full set. $45 for what??? I decided to give them another shot since they are directly across the steeet from me and here’s my nails 5 days later. SO ANGRY. Completely chipped most nails have no polish on them: the gel just peals off. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Every time I go, I’m back within two days redoing my nails.

Rushed full set. Rude the whole time. I could see my natural nail under the acrylic when I left but I didn’t want to be there any longer since the techs rudeness made me uncomfortable. I have a hefty tip because that’s just who I am, and only then did he lay on the charm. I won’t be back. And don’t recommend anyone else to go here either. I arrived an hour before closing without an appointment and was seen quickly by Angela. There was a slight line but my basic mani/pedi was simpler. Angela was courteous, friendly and did an amazing job. It is rare for me to leave a nail salon without some nick or slight issue even though I am always complimented on how well my hands and feet are taken care of. I walked out an hour later satisfied with the service.Thank you for the great experience.

I was treated like I was absolutely stupid. The particular person who did my nails acted like he didn’t want me there, belittled me, and disregarded my input on what I wanted for my nails that I was paying for. I was disgusted and shouldn’t pay good money to be treated like dirt. I’m an easy going client, but even the rudest customer shouldn’t be treated the way I was.

I went in for a pedicure yesterday. The lady doing my nails ripped the side of my nails off on both my big toes. It hurt to say the least. Then she squirted lime juice over them which made them sting. Well I woke up this morning with a very sore big toe and puss coming out the side of my nail. I will never be returning.

I would NEVER recommend anyone to this nail salon. They make you feel lass than human. Yes, true indeed it’s a beautiful salon. However the customer service is horrible. The woman that did my feet did wonderful, but the nail guy. After doing my fill he asked me to pay first, so I was like okay my sister is paying for us both so I’ll get it from her. He had the audacity to say “oh no I just don’t want to paint your nails and you don’t like you leave without pay.” ....Okay. Move on then I wanted design. Oh no that’s to much work. Pissed at this point. So I just say okay just do the tips. $5 more okay that’s most places cool. So I asked for a line of glitter. “That $5 more cuz you want all nail.” I should’ve just paid for the design I wanted. Then told me if I wanted cheap nails to go to Aloha nails. Sent me over to the nail dry seating and didn’t even offer to bring my shoes over. He started on a new client and I had to squeeze in to get my shoes. I ended up paying $22 for acrylic fill. (not listed on the price list) DO NOT go and waste your money or time. Colorful nails next to firehouse subs is better with customer service and prices and they serve wine and other beverages as well.

My regular nail salon decided to close on Sundays and I had no idea until I went today.... We’ll, I had been to grand once or twice before and they were ok previously so I decided to give them a chance. I had the WORST experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. I’ve been getting my nails done for about 20 years.... I know how things are supposed to be. It started off okay, and went downhill rather quickly. I had Michel as my technician and he was nice for the most part. He was doing my pedicure when I felt extreme pain, and I looked and blood is running down the side of my foot!!!! He was scrubbing my feet so hard he ripped the skin off the side of my foot and didn’t even notice. I have a pretty high pain tolerance so I didn’t freak out, but it hurt like hell! I definitely made him aware as he didn’t even notice the blood running down my foot... He jumped up and went looking for something & returned with tissue to put on it, he apologized and carried on like nothing happened. Meanwhile my fingers are soaking in a dish that’s on top of me filled with pure acetone! I couldn’t move to take a picture of the bloody mess, but I did manage to take one after. Then he cuts my toe nails all uneven, my friend had to point it out and ask him to straighten them. And he forgets what I asked for & completes it until I remind him then only adds one layer of the top coat color I asked for, and makes it look horrendous of course. I’ve about had it at this point, but it wasn’t over. My nails are now brittle from soaking for 40+ minutes in this pure acetone, and my fingers are completely crusted with the acetone. I had to take off my rings because when he would fill up the dish he would just pour it all over my hands, and rings. They couldn’t find the color I had picked for my finger nails, which is why I picked the color for my toes.... so now I have to find a new color for my finger nails, I pick one. Then they can’t find that one!!!!! I know you’re thinking You’ve got to be kidding me right... I assure you I’m not!!! I stayed because my friend was with and she drove me there. I thought she was enjoying her experience & I didn’t want to ruin hers.... low & behold she wasn’t satisfied either. She didn’t have quite the experience as I did, but needless to say her nails look jacked up too! My cuticles look horrible, my toes were cut uneven, my finger nails are uneven, they left chunks of gel powder under my nails, they cut my frickin foot & left a gouge in the side of it and couldn’t even clean it up or give me a damn band aid, and they left my hands crusted with acetone! If I could give this place ZERO STARS I WOULD! I work in customer service and this is the worst nail place & business I’ve ever been to! Lots of color choices, nice building, AND HORRIBLE NAIL TECHS, SERVICE and business owners. I recommend you trying VIP Nails, I’ve been going there for years and the quality and price beats this place ten fold. I’ll never cheat on my nail place again after this!

I have only been here twice and saw the same guy. I dont know if he’s the owner or what but I won’t be going back! I can’t stand when you tell someone what you want and they continue to try to talk you out of it. I want thin he says no they will break. I want the coffin deeper he says no they will break. I want the chrome polish, are you sure (x5)? Yes. I’m sure. I’m paying, this isn’t my first rodeo. I’m not paying for what YOU want my nails to look like. And all the while asking me why I came to him, LOL fine. You were very clear in telling me you didn’t want to do my nails, I’ll go somewhere else from now on.

Left with six of my nails not even shaped right and one skinned finger because the lady was in a hurry. Better off going to aloha nails.

The salon itself is beautiful and clean and the pedicures are AMAZING. However the guy that has done my nexgen set the last 2 times has been horrible. Each time he did not file my nails so that the product would last on my nails so after one day the nexgen is chipping and lifting off of my finger nail. Which is really irritating since I’m paying money for them to fall off after two days.

Customer sevice is terrible. The nail technician cannot drill evenly after placing the powder so when I asked for something to be added to fix my nails he told me $10. Then he informed me I can go somewhere else and if see if I can find my request cheaper. Its not about the cost its about making your guest happy. I didnt choose your salon because of the prices. I was referred there and will never return.

My husband and I both got Mani Pedis. My husband was disappointed at the LACK of care for him. His cuticles were jagged and so were his nails; same with his hands. They rushed him to be done to move on with the next customer. She didnt speak to him at all except to try to upsell after repeatedly saying no. My pedicure turned out alright but Ive had better. My french gel manicure was horrible. She did not get my cuticle neatly off and even. She left me with hang nails. The lines are all uneven and already peeling and chipping off. The polish doesnt even coat my entire surface area. She did however get it on my skin causing it to peel off. Not worth the prices we paid by a long shot.

They should ask everyone do they want a complimentary drink, not certain ones ! Were all EQUAL

The service was lacking today ... I had a nail coming apart and the owner glued it together and said it was done .. I was also willing to pay for a color change but they didnt want to give me the time of day.... Im will be shopping around now and I see them there often

I got a fill in. I asked for a design and was told no, cant do them. My nails also chipped after 4 days and lifted. I will not be going back

Stay far away from this place unless you’d like rudeness from the owner. Went in to get a pedicure and the lady messed my nails up when putting on my shoes, she simply repainted over the smudge mark then while doing so messed up 3 more toes. Instead of taking the nail polish off and fixing the polish she simply thought fixing the smudged paint by painting over while you could still see the mistake was okay. I asked them to remove the polish and that I would go elsewhere. The owner had the nerve to yell at me in front of customers saying he has been doing nails for 27 years and if I didn’t think that was okay then he didn’t want my business. The way I was treated was ridiculous and I wouldn’t even dare drop a penny in this facility to go towards these individuals. To have customer service towards your customers says a lot about your business but the way I was treated just says you’re nothing but a trash facility. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Nice salon, but the staff is undertrained and at times unprofessional! I went to this salon more than a few times. I would get a pedicure and a liquid gel fill. Initially Tim (the owner) did my nails. If you like a thick un-natural profile this is your guy. Eventually I stumbled on another nail tech that sits on the left side of the salon. I cant remember her name, but she became my go to. One day I went in and she was off. They sat me with a new lady. She sat two seats down from Tim. She was not doing a good job. I questioned her and her experience. She got defensive and began speaking in her native language. Another lady came and started working on my nails. She was not new, yet she had limited skill. I had a chipped nail and she wanted to put a artificial tip on, instead of executing the sculptured repair I asked for. She then said, wait for Tim. He said, they dont know how to do everything. There isnt anything wrong with a tip and he cant do everyones nails. I said, I want what I asked for. If they cant do it then I shouldnt have been placed with them. Then he proceeded to say, the last technician felt intimidated. I was like what? Really! You pass me around to three people and shes feeling intimidated! This is why I dont usually patronize these type of nail salons. They charge more than other salons, rush the process, give you what they want, then charge premium money for whatever they feel like doing. I told him if shes that timid then she should not be working in a fee for service industry. I did not tip and I have not returned. I would not recommend this salon.
