Moved in 1 year ago on tomorrow. My work orders always get done in a timely manner. It’s quiet, and the office personnel is quiet frankly the BEST people to deal with. The manager Mireya is so helpful!!! The other ladies(Lauren and Kimberly are great as well. Luis and Andrew are also great, these young men are so respectful to me and my home when they come and do the work orders. I give them a 5 star hands down. I see Luis out side working to make the property look nice, especially picking up the trash that the residents so uncaring throw around, especially at the dumpsters. But early in the morning, I see him attending to the trash as residents have just thrown it everywhere. He takes pride in the appearance of this property. I am glad to be a resident of Avion Apartments. Great Job!!!!

Luis the maintenance guy is awesome! Every experience with him was great. He does a great job. The office personnel has been good to me also. Any hick up you encounter here, they will address in a timely manner!
I wanted to share my experience at the Avion apartments,I had put in a work order for my AC last week, Luis was very quick to respond he went in and check my AC it did not take no more then 45 minutes and he had my air blowing super cold. He left no mess behind clean up after he finished working. If I could give him 10 stars I would please give this man a bonus or something. I love living at the Avion Apartments
I do wanna state I had A/C issue for quite some time l Contacted the office, manager said they will change my whole ac unite. Maintenance guy Luis came and did us the favor in fixing our issue and now our air is blowing colder than ever, we are satisfied with his job!! Thank you 🙏
With every maintenance issue I have had in 2 different units I have to thank Luis for his prompt response and resolution. He will explain the issue and let you know all the steps to get the problem fixed. He is amazing and thorough.

The Leasing Agent Lauren Is one of the best that i have encountered. you can see the smile right through the mask really like how open she was. Kim the Property manager is Amazing and is putting out some unreal specials for this beautiful property. Come take a tour and see for your self how great these ladies are. I just wanted to share that Luis with maintenance was so helpful today. I saw him in the parking lot, asked if he could help me take a case of water up my stairs because there was quite a bit of snow. Without hesitation he agreed to not only help me with the case of water, but also with some of my groceries. There was some concern about me getting this done by myself, walking in the snow, and Luis took that concern away. I am very thankful for him and his kindness on this day!
Extremely helpful during my leasing process, the Manager helped me she was very informative and very professional. I was so early to my appointment but she was willing to squeeze me in, I got to meet the maintenance team while there and they seemed on top of their game!!! The office was so clean as well, definitely gave me good vibes. My friend recommended me here and now i know why! I give them 5 stars!!!
For what just happened to me, I would urge no one to rent with this property. I was showed an A3 unit model. While being showed the model, the agent told me several times my actual unit will look the same. She advised ill have black appliances same light fixtures and blacksplash just as I saw. The unit was beautful. I kept asking cause I wanted to be sure I would get the same. Today I picked up keys snd my unit was complete trash. The apartment had a box from previous leasers with junk in the middle of floor. The appliances were off white with the stove not even put together. No back splash and not even the same floor plan. It smelled and was not cleaned ! The tub still had dirt in it ..im so hurt. Have to be out if my place today and now im homeless. No family here whatsoever as im from florida
Luis, the maintenance worker, is very respectful and courteous. He completes his work in a timely fashion and asks if there is anything else that needs to be done. My husband and I appreciate his work ethics. It makes living at Avion more enjoyable.Charles and Melody Singleton#1055
Ive lived here for almost 2 years now and just renewed my lease for another year. The maintenance staff has been very quick to respond to my work orders and resolved issues very quickly. The staff works hard to provide a clean place but its really on the residents also to put the trash where it belongs not the maintenance or office staff. The area is quite and close to everything! Would recommend this place for sure.

I just want to express my appreciation for the staff and opportunity I recently moved but I wanted to let others know about my experience here. While living here my apartment was very nice and well kept. The maintenance staff were always pleasant and prompt to respond if I had a repair need. The office staff(Lauren, Melissa, and everyone I spoke to really made my stay a pleasant one!) If I had a question or need the staff would address it with such great care. I just want to say thank you all for a great stay. For anyone looking for an apartment, I would highly recommend Avion! :)
Area is very quiet, close to my daughter school. The office staff is so friendly and helpful. Specially during these hard times. I am so happy to be living here. I’ve been here 3 years and just renewed my lease. I am very happy here !!
I moved to Dallas at the height of the pandemic when in-person tours of apartments were not being offered at most places. Avion Apartments offered a virtual tour of an apartment, failing to mention features such as the complete absence of lights in the bedrooms which we later discovered. When he had paid the deposit fees, they informed us that the apartment that we had been shown on the virtual tour had plumbing issues so they would lease out a different apartment. When we finally arrived at the location, I was shocked at the disarray and the unkemptness of the place. The apartment was filthy (see attached pictures), the kitchen has ancient fixtures that are in a state of neglect with a pervasive odor of mustiness throughout the apartment. I contacted the management the hour after I moved in but was told that the manager was too busy with lunch to attend to my concerns. We stayed here for 2 days and in that time, saw multiple families grilling out on their patios when it is clearly posted that this is illegal. Our next door neighbors were actually grilling on the staircase above our apartment. When I contacted the management about this issue, I was asked to call the police as there was apparently no way for them to reinforce the rules. The recreation centre is just as filthy as the rest of this place. They completely took use of the pandemic, misrepresented the apartments and refused to return the deposit and first months rent even though we had tried to convey our concerns to management as soon as we moved in. The staff seems unconcerned about the blatant safety violations that occur on a daily basis. In the 2 days that we stayed here, we found liquor store posters pasted to our cars window. An absolutely run-down facility with unethical management and absurdly high rent for the apartments they are renting out.
Ive been living here for a little over a year now, theres been a lot of changes with management. The manager that was here when I was moving in went on vacation and never returned leaving no record of all the work orders I put in the first day I actually stayed here. The apartment was completely filthy. Im extremely grateful for the new management they respond pretty quickly to any issues I have. Im especially grateful for Luis in maintenance hes the only one I will allow in my apartment to fix anything. Hes extremely reliable and is always cleaning the grounds since tenants here dont seem to understand to put their trash in the dumpsters. Ive had several maintenance issues when I first moved in and he took care of them immediately.
Wi-Fi is bad and doesnt work well I dont know what the problem is but yea its nice just the Wi-Fi is ehhh..

Poor care of the community and In time a like these when the power goes out you would expect them to act professional and help but it’s still the same b.s.they don’t even have a back up generator for the lights and electrical stuff. My refrigerator is with food that they will not pay for and my family is cold cause if no heat. I highly recommend you stay away from this place.

I recommed Avion to anyone looking for a quiet place to live. I have nothing but good things to say. The New Manager Mireya is so sweet and handles everything i need her to. The place is only good when they who are the management team speak about it. But the truth is that once you sign your lease then you will see the problems they did not tell you. They are quick to take your money and slow to help your needs when you call in a complaint. I’m so disappointed with who they really are. The management team at this place called the Avion are not who they show themselves to be, and when they smile I can guarantee you it’s a lie. The flaws in this place are so many it’s ridiculous. The apartment was poorly worked on and me being a handyman with years of experience I can see that it was done with Laziness. I pray that no one else has to go through this when looking for a home. I hope the Avion really starts to respect the people and not take away our money.

I just recently moved in last month and my stay so far with my pup has been great in our one bedroom apartment! The units and grounds are quiet and clean. They are nicely renovated on the inside. The rate was good too. Im glad that Avion worked with me being still young and establishing my credit. Much appreciation given to Cristi on helping me with my leasing app process, etc, she really is awesome and will answer any question you have! I look forward to my lease and being a new resident of Irving! Highly recommended!! 4 Stars! 👏🏾
In my 9 months of living here this is the worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. ROACHES!! Everywhere!!! I am not a dirty person as a matter of fact I saw a couple the first day I moved in before I put the furniture in!! The apartment wasn’t even CLEAN when I moved in!! There was glue in the living room, bathroom, and dining room floor!! It was sticky for 2 weeks. The garage disposal was also not working when I first moved in. There is aNO WHERE to park!!! My car had gotten towed one time because I wasn’t in the right parking spot but it was the ONLY parking spot left so I had no choice!!! BUT there’s this black PT cruiser that’s been in the visitors spot longer than I’ve been alive and I’ve called MULTIPLE times for them to tow it and it’s still there!!! They also change their rent prices after you move in!!! If I could give it negative 5 I would!!!
Beautiful apartments and very well kept. Scheduling a tour was easy and they were very accommodating with my schedule. The staff was extremely helpful and answered all my questions during my tour and addressed my questions about the application process.

Just moved in Saturday! And I’ve already experienced the superb customer service and excellent maintenance team! LAuren is a great agent and generally cares. If she can’t take care of an issue Then the manager Mireya comes in and handle it with excel customer service as well! If that isn’t enough Luis The maintence guy came to every rescue we had with moving in and checking on us! He also helped me get my brand new microwave out car since my fiancée wasn’t home and I’m 9 months pregnant! We are so happy to be apart of the Avion family !! We look forward to our journey here with our first child! AGAIN BIG KUDOS To Luis he was so helpful and has great energy!!! You rock !

I spent one year here.Even during renovations and management changes, they treated me well. The two maintenance guys are super helpful and kind. Cant thank them enough for helping me out fast and professionally. Sandy in the office is great too.The units are quite old, but priced accordingly. Amazing place for the price. Give yourself some extra time to do some pest-control before moving in and be proactive about preventing infestations. Some neighbors tend to drive around the parking lot at night with loud music, but other than that, the residents were great. Ample parking for residents and I have never had issues finding a free visitors space, even late at night.Overall, a very pleasant stay for the price.

I love the floor plans here! The staff had changed since being here but they picked up immediately where the others left off and it was as if they have been here before! They are nice and responsive to and issues or concerns. You can’t ask for much more than that. The backsplash, is very pretty here too! Sounds weird but they have done a great job with the property and kept it clean my entire stay. I’m a long time irving resident(25 years) and have lived many places. Mireya will take care of you, Stop in if you are interested in moving.
New managementUpdate: The pool is open from 10am to 10pm. We have been asked to call if the pool is closed during normal open hours. Though, it would be nice if they would give a notice for why the pool is closed if it needs repair/maintenance. Ive talked to several people about the pool when it is randomly closed and they have said the office cited a reason, but only do so when specifically asked. Otherwise, youd just think there is no reason at all.The tennis court is now open with a new net! Awesome place to play.They do try to be prompt about maintenance, but sometimes things do happen. Dont pay too much attention to the people saying the water is shut off a lot. While it is kind of frequent, they do give a notice with a text message system and it is usually for an emergency. Theyre just trying to get things fixed.The walls are thin as they are in cheaper apartments, but the noise is not really an issue. Heating and cooling can be a problem, but the new AC we got seems to be doing better. They are also putting new appliances in newly rented apartments and updating.All in all, the new management is much better.
Management is superb and maintenance quick to respond. Was working out in the fitness room. Until the recent closure, asked management how long will be closed. Explained that the work order has been accepted and will advise when reopened. Thanks keep up the good work!!
I had a perishable package delivered the other day and the office texted me to let me know it was there so that it wouldnt be sitting overnight and go to waste. I thought that was very thoughtful they took the time to do that for me. Very happy here at Avion!

Kimberly and that one only guy in the office are very helpful. Christina on the other hand has always been rude to me after my application has been approved. Customer service is horrible. No hot water running since the 2nd of December and it is December 28th. Finally got to talk to someone other than Christina, and Kimberly said it would be fixed on Monday. While Christina said we would still have to wait. Thank god.
Maintenance is always so quick to respond if theres an issue (My A/C went out; he fixed it the same day). They are so sweet and welcoming in the office and always are so helpful. The neighbors are mostly quiet, and parking is great (if youre not a visitor past 8:00 pm; good luck finding one then - sorry!) Its an incredible deal for an apartment in an extremely convenient location. Very glad I moved here.

Lived other places and work orders had been delayed, thought this would be the same. But thank you for clearing the bad air left by subpar properties. YOU ROCK💃🏽
I moved here in December and I was quoted a reasonable amount for my rent. When I moved in the apartment was exactly what I expected in reference to sq ft, layout, and location. I was able to move in quickly and nobody was watching as I moved my things. That assured me safety. My child loves it here. Only problem is that there is no playground for the kids, so they play on the street but thats okay because everyone has kids and they are mindful to look out for them. Maintenance is on time with every issue that I have (which was only this one); I ordered a screen for my patio and discovered it on my second day after work no need to haggle. There is lots of parking the neighbors are reasonable. Nobody is dirty, trash isnt all over the community. I have no pets in my home or rodents. and this is only thus far, I will be presenting a one year review in December.
The new management is very reasonable and they work with you well. No place is perfect but Avion is by far the best Apartment we have lived in. Theres always going to be flaws but not big enough to doubt it. Management is amazing and I definitely prefer these apts to anyone!!

I love it HERE! I had an issue with the neighbors and they handled it within a reasonable amount of time. Neighbors everywhere in apartments have issues. Unfortunately, some do not care if they are living above you or around you with a required respect. The TAA lease contract protects both the residents and staff. You have to be consistent as the office staff does. Part of my issue is I just did not stay consistent enough to get the issue resolved quicker. It is a process you have to go through before the staff can follow a protocol set up by Corporate. Fair Housing requires the staff to treat everyone equally. Hope this helps all of you to understand that one complaint does not get someone thrown out unless it is life threatening.
If I could rate these apartments 0 stars, I would! There is ALWAYS something going on. There is always an inconvenience. Water being shut off by management because they need to “check the pipes” without giving a notice!!!! Also electricity being cut off to once again “check”. Someone has to regularly come into your apartment to “inspect”. Ive lived in other apartments and NEVER NEVER had these issues and inconviniences!!! So once my lease is up im getting the hell out of here! How about give a notice to people!!!
This place is under new management and they are horrible people who will take advantage of you at a moments Turn. They have very bad organizational skills and dont have the simple common courtesy to notify you about things changing in the complex. The parking SUCKS just as much as the management team. DONT LIVE HERE. take your money and give it to people who actually care about your well being.
The infestation of roaches make it bad enough. However the neighbors have screaming fights outside where everyone can hear, the apartment complex sponsors late night parties, and they advertise ac but they arent rated to keep up with the Texas Summer heat and they sent out a notice saying unless its above 90 degrees in the apartment not to call maintenance. Dont be fooled by the nice ladies in the office because they are the only nice thing about this complex.
2 weeks ago I put in a work order about water coming from my vent in the bathroom maintenance came out stated my AC unit was frozen. I told them my air haven’t been on in several days now.. Went through the weekend no one notified me about my AC unit. I had to call them to see if it was ok to turned my AC on it was 80 degrees outside that day. Monday I called the after hours line for maintenance he came then. Pic of my AC unit bn frozen outside he came inside my apartment and showed my the pic he asked have you had your AC on I said NO I haven’t my AC haven’t been on in 2 days.. No one contacted me and said anything. 2 days no air just called left my number no one called me back the lady told me it was raining the reason they couldn’t come out I said it’s not raining now I’m so frustrated. I’m the main one that pay rent before or on time...
Tough to get a rental agreement. The service was sub par but has a decent price point.Update: they disabled their online portal without letting the residents know. Then send me a vacate notice about rent not being paid. Terrible customer service.Update 2018: I would move out if I could but right now we cant. They have changed their name but havent improved in anyway with their customer service. Dont believe the hype. They installed some new toilets but did a poor job at it.Update October 2018:The apartments have been going through a remodel and a re-branding. it is no longer Surrey Oaks but Avion. The complex was bought out by new owners. For those that lived here prior to that point it was not a smooth transition with the auto-billing cut out and people being served with eviction notices due to non-payment and penalties due to late fees. Even though no one was warned that the online portal was turned off.The new owners, Madera Residential, slapped some nice paint, changed the branding, and redid the office space. The downside is they are more focused on remodeling the vacate spots to continue to do maintenance on the existing apartments. My AC broke 4 times this summer. Right now it is 80 degrees inside even though it was set to 70. The thin insulation means if it is hot outside it is hot inside. The thin windows let the heat and cold right in. I have literally heard my upstairs neighbor look for their phone while on vibrate.My view on this apartment complex is very negative and even though the new management has made strides to do better it is still a sub pair experience.Also they dont have a pool. They say they have a pool and they will show it to you. It has never been open.

The apartments are updated..easy to find parking and office staff are very niceUPDATE. When I wrote this review it was under the old management.The new management are rude and dismissive. When I moved from one apartment to another due to a break in. Mgmt came to do an inspection before and after.I asked why 2 inspections and was told they needed to see if I was worthy of a move. I asked for the keys for the new apartment a day early they wanted to charge me for two apartments.Stating they had someone waiting to move in and I cant hold 2 apartments.It was a Friday. She actually made me wait to Saturday 10AM to get key and had to be back at 5PM to return old key.The person that moved into old apartment was the assistant manager herself...Then the pool was closed most of the summer for repairs. No discount in rent or extended pool opening. Tennis court has lock and chain on it. Could be used for kids to play.Repairs are slow. I referred a friend I was told they take $75 dollars off of rent after 90 days never saw it.Very thin floors no padding under old rug. Neighbors complained about walking in apartments.Long list on move outShampoo rugsDust ceiling fansWindows washOther bogus stuff they want to charge you forStay away
New management is awful. I left as soon as I could. If you are unfortunate enough to be considering this place, be sure to drive around the entire grounds, then get out of your car and walk the green. You will notice right away that they only update, clean and maintain the area where the units are up front and visible. The abandoned and padlocked tennis court should be warning enough, but also be sure to examine the laundry facilities to get an idea on the level of care they put into caring for the property. Dont judge by the front office, that is the only improvement they made since acquiring the property. They will scam you, lie about mystery charges, and be unreachable when you need them.

The Service is horrendous. My hot water has been out for over 24 hours. I have made 4 urgent maintenance calls since, and have not received as much as a phone call yet. Unacceptable!

I never did a proper review as i happened to go into labor the day we dropped the keys off.we were so ready to get out. Hard to get parking.i had a ANT problem they never fixed and we were eatem alive constantly.maintence was not sent out when orders were put in.its a pity the apartments were good size for price.the staff is insanely rude.talking about us in spanish as if we arent in the room.sorry hunny i might look white but im bilingual-.-.they have potential they just need tlc and proper management
Just moved in a month ago and had problems with the apartment since day one. Tried to switch apartments a week before I signed my lease for a bigger one they had listed online and was told that I could because it was already leased. Had a friend to call and ask about that apartment and they were told that someone put in an application for it and it was not leased. Arent apartments first come first served? I was told my deposit was one price, the day I signed my lease I somehow owed $75 more. Second night being there I killed 3 pregnant roaches that were carrying egg sacks. Ive been killing 3-5 large pregnant roaches literally every day since Ive moved in. Told the ladies up front about it and they said pest control would come spray and no one has come out to spray throughout the whole month Ive been here. This whole process is frustrating especially for a first time renter. If you decide to rent here, PLEASE get someone to check for bugs in the apartment youre going to rent. The area is quiet and its in a convinient location, but if I could get out of my lease today I would.
