Of course, it was Friday the 13th...9/13/19. Major wreck on 45, Widners Towing ended up with my truck at their yard. Even though they are closed on Saturday, the driver met my wife, son and myself at the yard to retrieve personal effects. Waited in the sun, even moved the truck around for us. Then, would not take a small token of our appreciation. If you EVER need assistance in Huntsville area, know these guys will treat you better than most family will. Highly recommend!!!

Steve, owner of Widner’s Towing, promptly responded to my call, was efficient, courteous, and helpful in getting me to the only place in town where I could get my flat tire fixed or replaced. Since it was early (7:20) on a Sunday when I called, I was and am a very grateful, once stranded motorist. I highly recommend Steve and his towing company!

My initial review was a five star... and this is what I had to say (AT FIRST): “Widner’s is the BEST Towing & Recovery service provider in East Texas, Woodlands, and Houston area. They get the job done efficiently and professionally, and go above and beyond when it comes to taking care of their customers. With reasonable towing prices, friendly customer service, and reliable, safe transportation and towing, there’s no other compared to Widner’s.”But after four days of a nonstop battle between Widner and I... I changed my review. Why? I want to be as honest about my experience as possible ...My updated review: Warning. My experience was very emotional, so I apologize if this review comes off catty. I had an issue with my Dodge Charger on Highway 45 and waited for Roadside Assistance for roughly two and a half hours. They never showed, so I called Steve Widner. Before he could arrive, Squekys showed up and informed me that the State Trooper instructed him to remove my vehicle from the freeway because it was causing a lot of traffic. Squekys towed my vehicle to the side of the road, off the freeway, and asked for $150. However, Steve Widner and his crew member was there to retrieve my car since I had already called them to tow. Im assuming Widner and Squekys had a pre-existing situation over finances because squekys refused to drop my vehicle due to non-payment which he then threatened to take my charger to his lot. This lead into the both of them arguing over who was towing my car, and which lot it was going to. Widner offered to take care of the bill and Uber my passenger and I, only to yell and curse at me over the phone two days later. The day I wanted my car towed from his lot to my choice of dealership (Team Dodge Chrysler Jeep) he texted me throughout the day trying to deter me from proceeding with my decision by providing estimations on my damages. As I tried to explain the situation he threw a temper tantrum, and threatened to up the fees we had agreed upon. Then he hung up. I was appalled, and even more livid considering that I had gave him business (instead of squekys), agreed to pay him $200, and wrote reviews on multiple platforms (Facebook, Google, Yelp, etc.) I purchased a reloadable debit card, sent him a photo of the purchasing receipt, as well as front and back of the card to show him that I was paying but just needed more time to activate the card since I had just bought it strictly for him. He blew up my phone multiple times, texted me countless times threatened to take my car to the impound due to nonpayment. It got to the point where I had to get Walker Countys sheriffs out to the dealership because I was unable to get Steve Widner to drop my vehicle even though I provided a card number, cvv and zip code for him to run my card. Eventually he calmed down and apologize but that does not excuse his childish and unprofessional behavior. I hope no one ever experienced a blow out like I did on any road, but especially 45 South in Huntsville. Thats not a place you want your car towed because it might be a hassle recovering it.
