I came to Steve’s automotive because of a check engine light and my truck turning off while driving. Sofia, the front desk receptionist was very kind and helpful to answer my questions. She passed me on to Frank who listened to the issues I described and made sure he had a good understanding of what was wrong so that he could diagnose and fix the problem as quickly as possible. He told me he’d have news for me by the next day at 1pm and he did!! He sent me a text with a link that detailed what he recommended he fixed and if I wanted I could approve him to get to work right there from the link. I called to get a better understanding of why he recommended each repair and I was very surprised that Frank took the time to answer each of my questions and I never felt like he was rushing to get me off the phone. I was worried that I would pay for these repairs and the same problems would persist but Frank was confident in his diagnosis and I gave him the green light to move ahead. I picked my truck up later that same day that we spoke and I was surprised that each of the problems I had described were completely gone!It has since been 2 weeks and the problems have not returned and I don’t expect them to. I will continue to use Steve’s automotive and will recommend them to anyone with car issues or looking for someone to help them maintain their car. I look forward to Sofia’s kindness at the front desk and Frank’s professionalism in the shop.

This place was very quick and reasonably priced! The front desk lady (Lesly) was very kind and helpful! They also gave complementary sodas and if you were waiting for your service to be done you were able to go across the street and get a gyro and fries for $5. Went there for two services replace spark plugs and drive belt, I was given an estimated price around $250 to $350 which will take 2 to 4 hours. After 40 mins they asked me to approve these two services for $440, which is understandable the estimated and actual price could differ. But i cannot deny these services now, if i do so i have to pay $65 for the inspection which i never asked for and was not told earlier. I ended up with spark plugs replacement for $250 just to save my $65. Felt trapped...!!! Disappointed!!

I found myself in a town I’m not from and a sensor telling me my tire was low IN A RENTAL CAR! I pulled into Steve’s Automotive and the extremely nice receptionist was quick to offer help and got a gentleman from the back. This nice man listened to my ordeal and promptly checked all the tires on my rental. LUCKILY all the tires were great and it was a faulty sensor battery. Auto shop poorly overcharged me over $1,000 + for a repair where parts cost less than $500. I came in for power steering pump issues. the cost of diagnostics right off the bat is $129 which in my opinion is way to high. Steve the mechanic who was assisting us become defensive and aggressive when we asked to perhaps lower the charge for the service and we were questioned right right away after my boyfriend submitted a 1 star review with no suggestions on providing us with better service. Unless you have money to spend I would not recommend this shop.

I think this displays a great level of customer service and how they wanted to rectify the previous situation. I definitely admire how they took the time to speak with me. It has restored my confidence with them and I will continue to take my vehicles here.[Original]2.5 stars, but I will round up.TL;DR -- Poor communication to customer (me) or lack thereof. Received quotes for work that was not related to the actually problem. Ended up fixing myself.I really wanted to have this place be my go-to for car services that I do not want to do myself. Unfortunately, I had a not-so-pleasant experience when I took my vehicle in. I dropped it off right before 9AM and the service guy (who I will not name) came and attended me immediately when I pulled in. He said that they would run a diagnostics (~$130) and let me know what needs to be done, and it would take about 4 hours since there were 2 cars in front of me. Sure, that is fine--I understand.5PM rolls by and no call (keep in mind, they close at 6PM). I finally called a little after 5PM and was told that the guy who attended me was not at the place, but should return before 6PM and would call me back. A little after 5:30PM, I call again and still no update on my vehicle, so I told them that I would just go so I can at least get my vehicle back because I still need it. I show up and he talks to me about the vehicle and that he would send me a quote the next day because he does not have any of the pricing. What were you guys doing this entire time? Okay, whatever. 8-9 hours for a diagnostic seems a bit long to me, but that is just my opinion. He said that I could leave my vehicle there overnight and that we can discuss again in the morning when he sends over the quote. Okay, fine...I will leave it overnight.The same night, I get a text message with a quote for ALL of the services that they wish to perform on my vehicle. Keep in mind, I brought it in for problem A, but yet I am getting fixes that are 1) unrelated and 2) things that I absolutely do not need. Total cost for everything ~$1400 with tax.The next morning I called the dealership for the exact part that actually does need to be replaced. They quoted me ~$225, but yet Steves quote for the same part was about ~$290. Personally, I do not find that to be reasonable to upcharge on the same part from the same dealership, and I know they called the same dealership because the guy at the dealership said that he just looked up the same part for the VIN I provided.I spoke to the rep at Steves the next morning and told them that I would just fix it myself, so I paid for the diagnostics only. I ordered the part online for about ~$150 with tax and did the work myself. It literally took me about ~15 minutes to do and they wanted to charge me 2 hours @ ~$130/hour.So...what did I learn? Not to be lazy from the get-go. It would have saved me both time and money. Lesson learned...oh well! What is done is done.

Ive been coming to Steves for years. Although some components of management has changed, Steve continued to make me feel appreciated and valued as a customer and that goes along way in my book. Everything seemed on the up and up for a basic state inspection. The first red flag is that NOT ONE employee (except the receptionist) wears a mask, even when speaking with customers at a conversational distance. There was a minor issue with a sensor that failed the inspection. Frank attempted to explain the issue, but I wanted to know about the sensor and its purpose. Instead of answering the questions, he just said how to resolve the problem. While that’s great, I definitely want to know how to resolve it, but I also want to know how to alleviate it in the future. He kept avoiding the question to explain the solution again and again. In his repetition of the same information he even said “I’ll explain it one last time”. As an educated professional, I understood what he was saying but he obviously didn’t understand or just didn’t care to answer the question.

My first time getting service @ Steve’s Automotive and the customer service experience was exceptional from the drive up to the front desk with Diana. A very sweet lady who taught me about selecting full synthetic oil for my new Jeep. I was referred by my coworker and I am pleasantly pleased. Thank you.

Beware of this place. After they replaced parts on my engine I was left stranded in the middle of the road less than a mile away after driving off the lot. I immediately called up Steves for help. As I sat in my stranded car, the manager immediately began to quote me for a tow truck, a battery jump and more engine repair! I ended up using my insurance to tow my car to a different shop. To my disbelief, the techs at the other shop found several loose bolts on my engine. To make matters worse, Malik, the owner of Steves Automotive lied to me about giving me a partial refund for my aweful ordeal. He was also very rude, yelled at me over the phone, and told me to never go back there again. What kind of customer service is that?
