I started going to Tough Mudder because a friend recommended it, and I see why! I love the fact that every workout is different, but I still feel comfortable after only a few classes to know what to expect and how best to push myself. Everyone is friendly and encouraging without being competitive. I would definitely recommend for someone looking for a group class that allows you to focus on your individual goals!
Im a introvert, so a welcoming community is important to me. I cant recommend Tough Mudder enough! All of the coaches are warm, friendly, and chill. The workouts are very intense and addictive! Im already starting to make fitness gains and Ive been to 16 classes so far.Its such a great way to relieve stress and become healthier! Give it a try!
I never thought that HIIT workouts or bootcamps would be my thing. I was worried they would have a gym bro or no-pain-no-gain vibe and I didnt want to have that relationship to my body. Then a friend signed me up for a Sunday class with Alex and my mind was blown! This place has wonderful trainers that focus on form, give personalized adjustments during workouts, and its just hella fun to sweat alongside others.Beyond physical benefit, by my second class I was on a first name basis and during covid-times that feels really sweet.Thanks TM trainers and staff for all you do.
My family member told me about the free trial and loved i did!Appreciate not knowing what to expect coming into each class. Alex, is one awesome instructor and almost threw up twice (which means the workout is working 🤣).The staff members are so friendly and kind
The Staff is extraordinary hats off for providing a positive motivational environment from Day 1.The free class got me hooked. Laura and Mitch let you move at your own pace in the boot camp and show you the correct way to do the exercises.And once you get in a groove the class is over…The classes have really helped me lose weight and get my stamina back.Thank y’all!
I love Tough Mudder! The workouts are fun and engaging, and I never get bored because they mix them up each time. Coaches are great and supportive too. Cant recommend enough! :)
I came over to this gym as a skeptic and Orange Theory Fitness fan. After working out at Tough Mudder (soon to be Volofit) and seeing my body change as well as feeling stronger to do things like more easily carry groceries or move furniture, I became a fan. Several of my friends who rave over my body goals have as a result come to the gym with me and a few have become members. Im so glad I found this gym.
I am so glad I found this space. Very supportive environment. Workouts are challenging but you can really see the results. Staff is very on top of sanitation as well and keeping the space COVID safe. Its become a nice sweat sanctuary and I feel glad each time I go.
I am too tired/high on endorphins during these classes to realize how hard Im working or how much Im sweating. I appreciate the energy and playlists coaches put together to keep me moving! This is not a cult but general manager/owner/coach Laura is amazing at keeping this place happy and clean and running so if there was a cult Id join that too
Super fun workouts (as much as a tough workout can be **fun**), and it’s cool that they change every time. I like that you’re on to a new station every 3-5 minutes, so you don’t easily get bored. I walk away from each workout feeling like I gave it all the energy I have. Highly recommend the 4:20 class on Wednesdays with Lauren—she’s great at motivating us to stay moving while working on perfecting our form.
Working out here is SO MUCH FUN! The coaches are super encouraging - especially while I rehab a shoulder injury- offering modifications to help me on my path to healing. And the other day, after class one of the fellow patrons said to me, Good job! We crushed it! Felt so good.I enjoy the positive vibes and the energy of the place. Thanks!!
I needed to wake up my workouts and WOW... this did the trick! Great workouts that are different every time. I’ve only been 5 times and can already tell my body is changing! So excited to continue!
Been to multiple classes and trained under 4 different coaches now. They are all attentive and kind. Very supportive environment. Im happy to have found this place.

Workouts and coaches are great! All of them are high energy and super engaging. Coach BJ is awesome! 🤩 She has 2 classes during the week at noon so its the perfect workout for your lunch hour. You can always expect something different every class so dont worry about getting bored. Love the variety of exercises and knowing Ill always get a good sweat on Im those 50 minutes. This gym very clean. We santizie and use wipes every time we rotate stations. They offer heart rate monitor tracking and earing points for every minute youre above 70% of your max heart rate if youre into that. Might make it more challenging if youre competitive. Its the perfect gym for building strength and getting cardio in (and this is coming from someone who hates cardio so if you hate running like me, this gym is perfect for you) while making it fun! Hats off to the owner Laura for opening this awesome gym with awesome staff!
When operating, the staff are the nicest and the coaches are very helpful and motivating. It is a professional, safe, and sanitary business. Their workouts change and rotate frequently- you are always challenged. The functional movements and strength conditioning have helped reduce my back pain significantly. The mixed in cardio has also helped with my weight and fitness goals. Im so glad they have online classes during these times. Highly recommend!

I love working out at TMB Oakland. The coaches are great, they limit the number of people in a class and sanitise between classes. I would highly recommend this to people looking for a workout that is challenging and will help you get in shape.
Incredible staff, fun workouts, awesome energy! When operating, I always left the place with the biggest endorphins high and I look forward to having those again once it’s safe to do so!Also, everyone was masked and spaced more than socially apart so I felt really safe attending classes, too!
Great Atmosphere and Great Coaches. A nice way to shed some of those Covid lbs.
They were having indoor fitness classes not in compliance with county health orders. I saw lots of people in there maskless through their windows. Now they put up high frosted coating on their windows. Wonder what’s still going on in there.
The online classes are amazing! I was looking for something to complement my running habit, to gain muscle and to be a part of a group class. The online classes were the perfect solution! The coaches give a shoutout to the online crowd before and after the session and check on you during the workout so you feel a part of the class. In the 4 months I have been doing the online classes, I have become leaner and stronger. I have even noticed an improvement in my cardio when I run. Thanks TMB Oakland team! Happy New Year to you!
