Been living here for 2 years now. Absolutely love it! Beautiful property with lots of green spaces. Suzanne in the leasing office is super helpful as well and really goes above and beyond to help with any issues or questions you may have!

I really enjoy the time lived here. Nice location and very friendly staff. Even I moved out they are still friendly answered my messages. They did not hide the bad news, when something happened they will send out the email to let you know it. Every time I report to replace or fix something the maintain team will come next day. The smart lock is my favorite thing in my apartment. Thank you, Camden Team!

I lived in this complex for 4 years and never had any major issues. Apartment is updated and modern. Complex is quiet with young professionals as well as families. Maintenance is very responsive. Ill place a request and the issue is resolved the same day before I return from work. I do remember getting community updates on car windows and apartment windows being broken into but that was never an issue with me. Crime seemed to have decreased as the complex increased security watch. I lived on the first floor, building 6, and my apartment did not flood during hurricane Harvey although I know a few others have. Did not lose electricity during the ice storm in February 2021. Random electricity/water outages here and there due to repairs. Didnt have crazy extra fees at move out despite what other reviewers have mentioned, and I got my deposit back. I did hire a professional cleaning company. Everyone was extremely helpful when I had issues getting my pod picked up during move out. I moved because I got a job at another city. If I stayed, I probably would have transferred to a bigger apartment. 4 stars for rent increasing ~$50 during each lease renewal...could be less or none.

The entire staff my fiancé and I have met so far at Camden have been friendly, informative and positive. Especially Alex and Raeni in the leasing office! They made us feel so great about moving in here. Alex went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything in order.Rene on the maintenance team was efficient and very helpful. He even was so kind to offer to help us unload the car after he finished his job! We are loving living here!

I’ve been a Camden resident for about 8 years and lived at Vanderbilt for about 18 months. I like Camden overall because the company promotes excellence - and I’ve had great interactions here moreso than my previous complex. (Suzanne and Carlos are especially great!) Of course, small thing pop up and nowhere is perfect, but the staff is always responsive and willing to listen. Downsides are that, being a large corporation, pricing is subject to market value and can’t really be greatly adjusted. And if you’re new to Houston, they implement a steep cancellation policy you’ll see at most complexes (a surprise when I moved to this region, but it’s common almost everywhere). I love the granite countertops when some other Camden’s at this leasing level use laminate. I find the complex pretty quite and it’s well-maintained. In a complex this size, also great to have mailboxes nearby and not scrunched in one location. Valet trash is used - and unlike with some complexes you can use your own trash can (an unexpected annoyance at my complex before this, so it’s a perk you wouldn’t normally think of). Overall, I’m happy here and didn’t hesitate when I got my renewal offer.

I’ve lived here for over a year and I love it here. Very affordable and very quality place to live. The service is top notch. Edgar from maintenance came in to fix my toilet today. I was sure that it was gonna be a big long repair, and possible replacement of the whole toilet. Nope. He comes in, replaces the tank super quick, we have a great conversation, and he even took a look at my washer on the way out and fixed a minor issue with it making some noise like it was nothing. Also Alex in the leasing office is really good too. Godlike in fact. I always feel heard and taken care of. You know when he picks up the phone, you’re good. Basically, Camden Vanderbilt: 5 stars. Alex and Edgar: 10 stars.

Ive lived at Camden Vanderbilt for just over a year now -- and I love it. The leasing & management staff are friendly and easy to work with. The maintenance staff are a dream -- they do an amazing job of keeping the property in tip-top shape. The management team is pro-active in undertaking property improvements. Overall, this is an outstanding property with terrific amenities and in a great location. Why would you live anywhere else?

This review is long overdue, but we have truly enjoyed living here at Camden Vanderbilt. The area is beautiful and the staff is quick and responsive. Alex Saenz helped us move in and has been absolutely wonderful ever since. He is very kind and we always have such a great experience with him.The apartments are close to everything and the area is extremely family friendly. We had amazing experience with Eddie as well as Alex they were professional and helpful. Eddie stayed behind after closing hours just to assist and we haven’t even moved in yet I can only imagine how great the service is when we move in! They gave us amazing hospitality and the apartment complex is just gorgeous!

I’ve been at Camden for a little over a year and recently renewed our lease reluctantly. This place is beautiful but the fretting of will your apartment be broken into next, packages stolen, car broken into, or stolen all together. It’s not a great feeling to know you don’t have control over keeping yourself and family safe and forget about all material goods and products. There are a few good things about the place but it doesn’t outweigh the bad. Less then a month at Camden, someone stole the “lip” off my car. As everyone states, “sorries”, but no real concern is given unfortunately. I couldn’t personal recommend this place because they is no real value put into the safety of the tenets and their belonging. It can’t feel like home when you’re worried about when you’ll be robbed again.

I just came here to said that I hate how the extra charge you 164 usd for fees of different services that doesn’t have any sense like the mandatory technology package of 114 usd for a cable you don’t used and 30 dollars for pick your front door pickup trash and 20 usd of community charges.I can’t wait my lease is finished because I think this apartment is overpriced and you can rent something better in another place, I just been here for 3 months and I can wait to move out.

I have lived at Camden Vanderbilt for about 8 months. The entire staff is great! They are extremely helpful and respond quickly. The community is large and gated in, so I get to walk my dog without ever having to leave the community. The location couldn’t be better with grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. My closet space is hard to beat and I love taking advantage of the 3 pools :)

I would highly recommend against living here. Safety is a major issue. I didnt feel safe for myself or family here, in fact I had constant anxiety about being robbed or assaulted as has happened to other residents. I didnt feel the management did enough to prevent further crime in the community. The amenities are good. I have to commend the maintenance staff though for their prompt and excellent service. I had a negative experience with some of the leasing office staff.

Please read other reviews and try to stay away.Safety is a major concern here. During my stay several incidents occurred including apartments break-in, missing cars and missing packages. The community is huge so it is difficult to control and monitor.Additionally, and after move-out you will get a huge bill for pro-rated charges of paint and carpet no matter how clean you leave the apartment.

I just moved in this past week, and Im impressed with the place. I feel like safety is a concern and there were even additions to secure the outer perimeter fencing, which seemed like a positive measure. I worked with someone named Georgina from the leasing office, and Id highly recommend asking for her if you have questions or want to look for a new apt. She was extremely helpful and went the extra mile making sure I had all the information I needed without being clingy or bothersome in the follow-ups (which I know many apt people do that). I really enjoyed the experience and am so thankful I moved here. My neighbors seem pretty friendly, so thats a plus as well.

While it may look nice on the surface, this complex is plagued by a myriad of issues as well as being very overpriced. There is a significant problem with crime, both home and car burglaries occur on a regular basis. Management installed an electronic door lock system which can makes entry impossible for guests if your phone is dead or there is no guard on duty at the front. These electronic locks are also going to be installed on the front doors of apartments in lieu of physical keys, which myself and my roommate are fighting them over. Maintenance is punctual but of poor quality. My apartment has had broken shelves, doors, windows, and shades since move in and they have yet to be fixed properly. Save yourself the trouble and rent elsewhere, management will lie about anything to make a sale.

Camden Vanderbilt made the process of applying for my first apartment easy and quick. I’ve been living here for 4 months and heard of some break ins as well as car break ins that got me worried in the beginning. In contrary, I feel completely safe as a resident so far. Don’t leave anything visible or valuable in your car and locking your units entrances will prevent most of these incidents. My washer recently broke and after filing for maintenance, they completely replaced the washer and gave me a new one in two days! Their maintenance team has such great and hardworking set of individuals which in my opinion, make this complex such a great place to live in. I would like to especially thank R. Casco for being kind and giving excellent customer service. You’re hard work won’t go unnoticed. Thank you Camden!

Home sweet home. Ive lived at the Camden Vanderbilt apartments now for almost 4 years, and I continue to love living here. The entire property consists of about 60 or so buildings, most of which accommodate anywhere from 10-18 apartments (its a big complex). Despite such a large community of people, the management and staff do an amazing job of keeping the property looking and feeling fairly new (new, but lived in, which is comfortable :). Ive never lived in a complex where stuff didnt break or break down over time and Camden V is no different; however, Ive never lived in a complex until here where the maintenance crew is so professional and on top of things. The landscaping is beautiful with a nice mix of trees throughout, and grass grows plentifully ... all kept up and looking good. Every time I contact the management office, Im greeted by incredibly helpful staff who make me feel like Im home. What else can I say? Its my home ... I love it!

Trevor was excellent! Spoke to him over the phone before I headed over for a visit. Met him at the office and he patiently heard what I was looking for. He then shortlisted 2 units for me to look at. We went and I gave him specific feedback on what I liked and didnt. He then showed me a unit that I liked very much. The only slight downside was that it was a little short on closet space. Trevor suggested that they had storage units for $10/month and showed me one of them. I left very satisfied. I wouldve signed a lease with Trevor on this last unit but found an absolutely amazing unit at a sister property (also a Camden) that I ended up taking.Overall an excellent experience. Notable was Trevors listening skills based on which he was able to suggest tangible solutions. I received A1 service from him and feel that many leasing agents could take a page from his book and learn!

Today we turned in keys to the place we called home at Camden Vanderbilt for the past 4 years. Our neighbors were great and not to mentioned the staff. Tina is always so nice and responsive. Carlos Cantú is always so helpful with anything that he is asked. Seth is the sweetest person and constantly checked in with us to see how we were doing. Walking into the office and seeing a Georgina smile and greet us was the best part of going into the office. The maintenance staff was always so wonderful!!! Rodriguez and Gavino always go above and beyond for every person here. It was the best living experience we’ve had! We only left due to location but we would definitely go back in a heartbeat if we ever look at that area again! Thank you Vanderbilt team for all you did for us during our stay!

I had such a positive experience while living here previously that I am moving back in again! The apartments are reasonably priced despite being in a central location just outside of TMC. The grounds/amenities are very well-kept and the few maintenance request I had to put in were taken care of promptly. Georgina at the front desk assisted me with both leases and was always very professional and courteous. Highly recommended!

To preface - I lived in this apartment complex for 12 months. Sorry for the long reviewThe Good - Move in was easy and the apartment was updated. The staff in the office were always friendly. Maintenance requests were always handled very quickly.The Bad - Unfortunately, the apartment complex is located in an area that has crime. During my time there, there were multiple times that multiple vehicles got broken into at the same time. Apartments were also broken into occasionally. The security was actually a joke (max three people / sometimes only one working at a time for a 60 building complex). People tend to break/run into the gates at least once a month, sometimes weekly. I personally didnt ever feel safe leaving my car there after learning of the break in problem (and no, leaving your car empty doesnt help when someone breaks a window on every car in an area, regardless if anything is inside).The Very Bad - When I moved out, I was due my security deposit back. After sending the correct forwarding address via email, they transcribed it incorrectly and sent the check to an incorrect address. After inquiring if they could resend to the correct address, they advised that I should check with the post office to try and get it ??? It was literally sent to the wrong address. Three calls/emails later, they said I would have to wait six weeks (for no fault of my own) to get the check - unfortunately, this is against the § 92.109. LIABILITY OF LANDLORD in Texas which states security deposits must be given within 30 days of move out. Five weeks after I moved out, I emailed the CEO. They had a check in the mail the next day.They still owe me whats stipulated in the § 92.109. LIABILITY OF LANDLORD which is 3x deposit + $100, but I doubt theyll ever send it. The landlord is assumed to be in bad faith under the law if they dont send the deposit (If it was their fault, regardless if it was intentional or not).Conclusion - I wouldnt move back. Like I said, the employees were nice and the apartments were updated, but their lack of good security and disregard for an error that they made heavily outweighs this.

I spent 1 year here and it started well but ended poorly. The service for request was great, the amenities were not worth the price, and the security was subpar for what youre paying for (there were times I felt unsafe.) People can come and go as they please whether they live there or not. Expect the entry gates to not be working properly. Its rare to go a full month and have the gates to be working well.The security does not reflect the concierge in the leasing office. They care about the complex and they try their best for the most part. The issue with my apartment was when I moved out a team goes in to prepare it for the next resident. I had not returned my keys, I had told them I still had things to pick up, and with my understanding on when leases end I still had time to do those tasks. Over the phone they told me it was not a problem if I grabbed the things I left in there and drop off my keys. Tuesday, two days after the lease ended I had already told them I would come by and drop off my keys and pack up the rest of my things but when I got there everything was cleaned out of my apartment. All said and done and two more days of negotiating to get my things back I was given two items back and $250 dollars for $300+ worth of things, let alone the insecurity I felt with having my things stolen.Im sure this isnt the first time someone left things behind in an apartment. For the process to feel like a negotiation for your own items that they purposely took is unprofessional. There needs to be a better process for clearing out apartments. They called me to ask where my keys were but not whether or not I wanted to keep the items I left behind is deceiving.

Love Camden Vanderbilt!! Great two bedroom with upscale interiors, even has California Closets. The lake is very nice and great landscaping on the property. Its lovely for walking my dog. The location is super convenient to the med center and reliant stadium too. I love that Randalls is right next door. This complex is a relaxing oasis in the heart of houston. Tina the manager is very nice and helpful when we need anything.

The amenities in this community is awesome. First and foremost, they have pools that are well kept and the gym is well-equipped with up-to-date facilities. Its located at a strategic point where access to entertainment, shops, restaurants and schools are of very close proximity.I met a leasing consultant by name Alex Saenz. He was very helpful and helped me during my search. He was very responsive to all my numerous detailed requests and was always there to respond to my mails no matter how late I sent them.Alex gave me the assistance and support I needed to decide when I was looking for an apartment in the perfect location within the complex. If you ask of him, he’ll help you find a perfect fit in the complex.

We love our team at Camden Vanderbilt! Seth and Jessie (and Molly and Georgina!!) are always super responsive and I really appreciate their willingness to go the extra mile to put our (my) mind at ease. The office staff has come up with some really great ideas for keeping us residents occupied during the stay at home (COVID) time; from patio contests to bingo they do what they can to keep us engaged. I moved to Camden Vanderbilt apartment last week, and it has been really great so far! Molly, who was my leasing consultant, made my move-in process very easy and she has been very helpful from the day one I searched for an apartment. The apartment is in great location: close to medical center, close to groceries, cafes, and restaurants. High quality, reasonable price, great amenities, and friendly staff members. Apartment has rules for the tenants quiet and peaceful enjoyment of the place, and i really appreciate it. The maintenance is fast and up to my expectations. And also, beautiful lakes are in the apartment community. I cant wait for better weathers!

Decent looking apartments. Facilities are pretty good here. Feel safe inside in general other than once in a while, cars get braked in.Residents lose packages everyday and post them on the community forum. But the management wont do much about it.Also, be prepared for a big rent raise when its time for renewal.

My husband and I have stayed in this apartment for 2 yrs now since moving to Houston. This place is not just a home. It also feels like a vacation resort because of the gorgeous lake walkway where you can just walk your dog, not just get stuck on a dogpark and feel like you are in a zen mode everytime you walk because of the view.I love the many and well maintained swimming pools--there are 3 pools for the whole apartment! Also the spacious gym- not feeling cramped at all unlike other apartment gyms.Security I must say is A-, after all that security incident few months ago, Camden Vanderbilt has patrolled security day and night, added security cams and changed gate lock access-when I say changed its not just keyphob baby but access that can also be through residents phone. Maintainance are also available and easy to respond. They also do the job well unlike other apartments weve lived. The only downside is I guess the monthly rental fee. They could drastically increase easily after 1-2 yrs but I guess you are paying where you live because they do a lot to maintain the place.Molly at the leasing office is always very available to help us. Shout out to her awesome job. She has always helped us along the way.Overall, I love this place. We love living in this apartment. This is definitely a hidden gem for me in Houston.

Superb & friendly staff. Service requests attended with in 24 hrs maximum. A wonderful ambiance prevails in the complex. I felt very comfortable, safe & secure even when you go out for a week . Prompt service rendering committed staff. All basic requirements like Medical clinics, pharmacy(Randalls adjoining ), whole Foods with in 1.5 mile, Gas station with in 1.5 miles and centrally located . Enjoyed my stay here and I will give 10 out of 10 rating for this complex.

I have been living here for about six months. So far, I have really enjoyed my stay. The apartment is wonderful, granite countertops, high ceilings, large windows, and great appliances. I can call Camden any hour of the day to make a repair request and they can put it in right away, which is convenient if you work during business hours. I adore the lake. You dont see many apartment complexes with lakes these days. The location is great. Randalls is walking distance which makes grocery shopping convenient. Its close to 59/69, the medical center, and rice village.Theft is a concern but I see that Camden is trying to remedy the situation. They send emails about the incident and explain what they are trying to do about it. Overall, I would recommend Camden Vanderbilt.

Just left the leasing office. I’ve never had any issues with them and I think they’re all great up until I had to deal with Seth (first guy on the left). Considering he works in the front office (concierge) and represents the apartment complex, he was extremely condescending and rude. He definitely needs an attitude adjustment and tone down the sass. Customer service should play a key role in his job especially since he faces tenants and potential tenants.

I lived at Camden Vanderbilt for 18 moths. It was a pleasant experience. The condo has few swimming pools and gym, and a great landscape. The condo is very well managed and the few times I needed technical assistance it was in a blink of an eye after my request. Mrs Georgina Trevino manages very well the property and she is always ready to help. I really recommend this place as I did to couple of my friends.

I lived at Camden Vanderbilt for almost an entire year. I moved because I relocated to another city and I definitely miss this Camden! The front office personnel were so courteous and if there was an issue, they were quick to fix it. I hate to possibly set unrealistic expectations, but if I put in a service request before I left in the morning or the night before, it was fixed within 24 hours and usually before noon. I always felt like if I needed something or had something come up, they bent over backwards to accommodate my request. They also have food trucks come to the property on a regular basis. The maintenance crew is top notch. The premises were well maintained and I never had to deal with noisy neighbors. The property is also right behind a Randalls (walking distance) and other restaurants--and a dry cleaner too!* The only complaint I would have is that the computer room for residents is constantly in a state of warmth. The A/C doesnt seem to ever work in there * But I adjusted to it once I had been in there using it for a while.Camden Vanderbilt is a great place to live. I highly recommend it.

I have been a Camden Vanderbilt resident for almost two years and I have had a very positive experience so far. The leasing staff is very helpful and professional. They know me by name and treat me with respect, so I dont feel like a stranger whenever I need something. The staff is very receptive to feedback about the community, and a few times I have mentioned the lighting around the premises can be improved. They are taking initiatives toward improving the lighting, by spending a portion of their budget to increase lighting on the grounds as well as the top levels of the parking garages.Regarding the property in general, the grounds are always kept very nice and clean. The valet trash service is a wonderful perk about living here; you dont have to make frequent trips to the dumpsters. Additionally, the maintenance staff are quick and responsive to maintenance requests. My requests are usually answered the next day. The maintenance team is also very friendly and supportive of any issues that need to be corrected in our units.Overall I feel this is a great place to live in terms of cleanliness, professionalism, and resident service. I am a very happy resident of the community.

Ive lived here for several years now and the complex is amazing. Ive been very happy with my time living here. Service orders are taken care of promptly. No flooding during Hurricane Harvey either. Mrs. Georgina Trevino is my leasing agent and has always made sure that Im well taken care of and helps me address any issues that come up. Shes amazing!

The leasing office staff is very kind but the apartment is very bad. there were bee house, shelfs/outlets are broken, fan is full of mold and dust. I had to request the same maintenance twice several times. They dont fix properly at the first time. Nothing prepared when I moved in.

I wanted to give a shout out to the Vanderbilt staff so here we go! I have called Camden Vanderbilt home for the last 6 years and have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and have no intentions on leaving any time soon.Since Camden Vanderbilt is centrally located it’s a perfect place to call home making it easy to get around town in a short amount of time.If you are looking for an a resort style feel but don’t want to live downtown Camden Vanderbilt will be exactly what you are looking for.While I keep an immaculate home from time to time I need some routine maintenance. We have an incredible maintenance team who always does an incredible job with a SMILE!Just last week I got a nail in my tire on the wait home came back out to go to Randall’s and had a flat time. Like a knight in shining armor one of the maintenance guys Marvin happened drive past and noticed I needed help changing my tire. This was afterhours, and he was headed home, however he took time our of his own evening to help me change my tire. Thank you again Marvin!When it comes to the office staff I know that I am in the best hand! I would like to personal thank Tina, Dalia, and Brendon for always being so helpful when I contact the office. They go out of their way to personalize their care, and make me feel valued as a resident. Thank you guys again for working with me on current renewal, I am forever thankful.

Was a very nice property, if I were staying in Houston longer I would certainly be here. Very friendly neighbors, pool was great, my place as well as the property seemed well maintained and peaceful. Great easy access to everything in the area like groceries and such.Jordan helped me with my situation in a quick move due to my sudden relocation for work and was great about it. Have nothing bad to say about this property and the staff there, if I ever move back I know where Ill be...Now if they could only get rid of the humidity in the summers here!

The complex has 3 pools are well kept, the lap pool is definitely a plus. There is also multiple grill areas (must bring your own charcoal), the gym has a nice view of the lakes. Valet trash service makes life so much easier!This complex does not flood. Georgina at the front desk is very helpful.There seem to be an unusually frequent number of repairs, the complex is in such good shape that Im not sure they are needed.

For months now us residents have been begging for better security due to the numerous break-ins and vandalism throughout the community, but our cries for safety have fallen on death ears. Management keeps responding with the same prefabricated responses clearly reflecting that our safety is not their priority. In fact, theyre more concerned about spending money on painting the place instead of adding security cameras or a security guard. I dont feel safe in my own home. Save your time, money, and car windows and find somewhere else to live.

Two stars only for the maintainers and the older stuff.I have been living in Camden Vanderbilt for ~3.5 years. The first year the stuff was friendly and the properties were well maintained. After our lease expired, we renewed our lease for another 2.5 years. But gradually the security becomes a problem, packages get lost, and home and cars were broken in. According to my memory, packages were lost since the summer of 2018, and afterwards, things became worse and worse. From the fall of 2018 until right now, almost every week there are messages asking about lost packages(at lease once/week, most the time more that once). Broke ins also happened since late 2018 until now, and condition is getting worse and worse. From thanksgiving 2019 till now, only less than 2 weeks, there are already 3 times report. This is really a big problem that has been bothering us. I see messages complaining about the broke ins and the lost packages everyday. Whats worse is that the leasing office did not pay enough attention to the insecurity. One of our neighbors noticed some suspected person in the parking garage, and she called the leasing office. They did not take any action, but told her to call the police by herself. They said it was not their responsibility. At the same time, they keep on increasing the leasing fee. They changed the stuff team in 2019 summer too, which is quite normal in every company. Although I understand the rearrangement, I have to say that the new persons are not professional at all. They do not have servicing attitude but rather managing attitude. Sometime they are rude. Comparing the insecurity problems to our properties and homes, attitude looks like a tiny problem that can be ignored, but I still hope they can improve.

I am updating my previous rating because here we are, on a holiday, water shut off, for the same reasons we dont know about, begging for updates every less than MANY hours, it seems like problems fixing keep on being postponed untill nothing else can be done and Im saying that because the same problem keeps happening every now and then.Lets also not mention package, apt, cars theft, vandalism...you name it!Then again after several months of asking for a change, a security patrol was dispatched (ONE for an ENTIRE COMPLEX).

We have lived in Camden for 4 years its been great specially last 2 years.I personally would like to mention about the new management they are great!specially Keisha she is awesome. Rest we love here and the security is definitely improved.It feels like home for sure. Home away from home. Maintenance is always very speedy with requests, office staff is great Dahlia is the best. Grounds are well kept, quiet complex for the busy area its located in. Only thing is the lakes aka retention ponds (that work well during storms) need to be better attended too, they get pretty full of algae and gunk sometimes. I would recommend these apartment complexes to anyone looking to live in the area.

Any time we have had any problem with the apartment it has been addressed very quickly. I am going to be studying in the Medical Center and this apartment is so close to that, its perfect. Camden Vanderbilt has by far been one of if not the best places I have lived thus far and I have had my fair share of experiences in apartments. One of the biggest things that makes this place stand out is not the beautiful lakes, and the 3 pools, 24/7 Fitness Center, monthly resident events and more, but it is the very friendly and responsive maintenance staff! Leo has been a tremendous help since the day i moved in. He always responds to any request i have same day and its done right the first time! I also saw on their Facebook page that its maintenance appreciation week so i guess now is a better time than ever for me to tell Leo and the rest of the team thanks a bunch!

Overall, the place is nice, quiet, relatively up-kept/clean. There are a few complaints though: A lot of residents, and on the resident board, have addressed packages being stolen frequently. Theyre working on a mail room but that eliminates an office work place for residents. They say they will tow away non-residents, but youll find yourself hard-pressed for parking (especially weekends). People speed SO FAST and they dont regulate that. With the amount of children they really need to find a solution for people jetting through. Additionally, its a no smoking facility. However, youll see residents smoking... broad daylight... walking around, outside their apartments, by the tables, at the pool and they wont do anything except send reminder emails to not do that (the emails are not working). I have a feeling why they wont address the problem directly, but its a rule for every resident and should be enforced. We live in apartments, its basically tinderbox living. Smoking = potential fires. End of story. Last, you will find this apartment is not so private as residents CONSTANTLY upload Snapchat videos of the entire complex. Its a little weird and I feel like so many outsiders can see everything about your apartment. I know management might not be able to regulate that, but it makes you feel a little uneasy that your entire complex is public for anyone on Snapchat to see it - especially if you didnt provide rights to being in the videos. Its pricey but in a good area. However, you can get the same area, and about the same price, for new apartments. Management is kind and helpful I just wish they were more forceful about the rules.

Camden Vanderbilt has been a great property to live at! I have been here for about 2 years now and just signed on for a third. The property is conveniently located to all of the Houston attractions. There are plenty of grocery stores around that you can walk or ride your bike to. The amenities are great 2 leisure pools, a gym, and a nice man-made lake to walk around or even run. The property may not be as new as some of the newest apartments being constructed, but the price is great and you get just as much as if you went elsewhere.

This is an unsaved place to live, since I move here, almost every week cars are broken and stolen. If you buy something there is a big risk for the pack be stolen from your door. Every day there are messages about packets stolen here in this community. Im counting the time to finish my contract.

I am lowering my rating of this apartment complex because theft is becoming an issue. Cars have been stolen and broken into. Apartments have been broken into with and without residents in the apartment. Camden Vanderbilt needs to address this issue with more security guards and better trained security guards to patrol the perimeter of the complex (Especially on the Brompton Road side). Camden should have police cars drive through the community or at least stop here for a donut break. I wanted to have Camden add a dead bolt lock added to my storage unit due to the increase in theft, but they kept denying my request.I have lived here for three years and liked the apartment, fitness room, pools and office area. I wish the rent was lower and I wish management would listen to the residents wishes and make changes around the complex. As soon as I moved out, they listed my apartment base rate for $156 less then I was paying. They refuse to add propane or gas grills because gas grills are too dangerous (I bought my own gas grill and many other residents also wanted to see gas grills added).Management also tries to fine you $50 when trash is left out in the valet trash bin, but management does not look into the issue regarding valet trash not picking up the trash like they are supposed to or leaving notices. The valet trash team often skipped the third floor and I would have to chase the valet trash team down or deal with management. Valet trash is supposed to leave a notice if that trash bag is ripped, leaking or too heavy resulting in valet trash not taking the trash. They are also supposed to take a picture of this. I never got any of these notices and management kept giving me $50 fines that I had to fight.The maintenance team is all about a quick fix. One time I requested to have a new water filter for the refrigerator because the filter was old and the water was not flowing well out of the fridge. The maintenance guy comes, resets the water filter light on the fridge and says your good to go. The maintenance guy leaves, I call management and I get a hard time about changing the water filter. Finally they agree to actually change the filter for free after trying to charge me for the water filter. Another time the roof leaked and the ceiling over the kitchen gave way. Luckily this was before Hurricane Harvey.My recommendation would be to find an apartment complex that is safer and not a publicly traded company (Camden is and I found this out after I moved in). Since Camden is publicly traded the rent seems higher and it seems harder for Camden to make changes within the community. Management has told me that they would need to get corporate approval.

My family and i have lived here since 2016. The area is great!! We mostly moved here because of the School (Mark Twain) the customer service is fantastic!! Everyone in the office is very helpful, Maintenance is amazing! Every time I need something they show up in less than 24hrs and fix the issue. They are very polite and very complimentary. They always go above and beyond for someone. They have always stopped to help me with groceries or trash if they see me as they walk by. They stop and play with my puppies when I walk them.

Beware of the security in this apartment. I lived here for almost two years. At first it was good living here then it went down the hill. First, there was the stolen packages issue. I lost my package as somebody signed when it was delivered. I was home but somebody intercepted as the delivery man didnt even knock at my door. This doesnt happen to me but to a lot of residents. I ended up having my packages delivered at a UPS post. Next are car breakins. My car had a breakin last December. Three weeks after that it was stolen. There were 10-20 breakins every other week and 3 cars stolen including mine last December. They said they hired a security guard but I never saw one. All in all, I ended up moving out of this apartment as the situation here with security is very lacking.

I have been a resident at Camden Vanderbilt for almost 3 years (March 2012 to present day of February 2015), and Ive been beyond satisfied with most aspects of living here including the timeliness and hard work of the maintenance staff, the quality of living, and the staff in the leasing office. Firstly, the grounds are kept very clean, and the maintenance staff is quick to respond to any requests. Secondly, the staff in the leasing office are incredibly nice and friendly people. I have never felt intimidated or shy to approach any one of them to discuss any issue that I may be concerned with. They are eager to assist me. Georgina is the person who has helped me the most - she is super nice. Furthermore, Camden Vanderbilt is simply a great place to live - its quiet (compared to living in midtown, for example), its beautiful - with a pool, 2 lakes, and a great pathway for running and walking; and Camden Vanderbilt is in a great location - just 2 miles from the Med Center and so close to many key locations in Houston.Im the type of person who is a very hard grader. If there was a 10 point scale, I would have graded a 9 out of 10 though. Over the past year, a few of the weights have disappeared from the weight room and have not been replaced. Although I personally have always felt very safe and secure at Camden, there were a couple of car and apartment thefts reported over the past 2 years. Since the time when those thefts occurred, Camden has taken positive steps to prevent this activity. They hired a night-time security guard. Since that time, reports of thefts have been down. I am very happy about this and I now feel even more safe and secure. Great job, Camden!

My wife and I have fully enjoyed our experience here for the past year. Most apartment complexes will reel you in with enticing signing offers and clubhouse amenities that you’ll probably never use. However, Camden Vanderbilt gets it right by being consistent with the important things: the landscape is kept nothing shy of impeccable, service requests are answered within 24 hours EVERY time, and requests by the community are listened to and implemented by management. Every time we’ve needed assistance with something the individuals within the management office are always cheerful and extremely helpful. We’ve consistently had positive experiences with staff members, namely Seth who always has gone above and beyond to get our issues sorted out immediately.

I moved here this year and am really enjoying it so far. Aside from the unbeatable location, the staff have been very friendly and helpful. Theres a beautiful walking trail, 3 pools, a 24 hour gym and valet trash pick up outside your door every night. Overall, the complex is safe, quiet, and well kept.
