I love this community. It’s literally a hidden gem! I’ve been living here about 6 months and everything has been super easy and efficient. I love the reserved spots that we get with our home, the rent is super affordable with lots included as to other places you would pay a ton of extra fees. The maintenance literally completes work orders the same day! It’s amazing! The girls in the office are super responsive and easy to communicate with. They have made the whole moving process seamless and we’re very detailed which I was grateful for. Thanks ladies! I am a little bummed the gym is not open yet but I’m also excited that they are doing the renovations necessary to provide a great facility in the future for residents. I’ll be living here for awhile. Love this place! 🥰❤️

This review is on the leasing process during COVID. It was so easy and convenient! I sent a message on their website expressing my interest and immediately got a callback from Adriana. I did the virtual tour online and knew which apartment I wanted and when I could move in. Adriana was so helpful and responsive. We ended up doing everything online and she got me approved within a few days. When Adriana was out of town, Gabby was great about keeping me in the loop. Those ladies are absolutely wonderful and made me feel so welcome. Im really looking forward to moving into my new home!

I have been living here for almost a year now and I actually really love it! The leasing office is always quick to respond to any maintenance or questions I have. During the holidays, they would do fun little giveaways which every unit was automatically included. For the price, it is hard to beat compared to other complexes especially with all the amenities that is already included with rent such as internet, cable and reserve parking. This complex is also available for Fiber internet! I have already renewed my lease and look forward to another year!

Beware of the Cockroaches! There are cockroaches everywhere; in the apartments, in the parking lot, even in the outside grill. You have to call to get pest control which is on Wednesdays but they can only do so much for an old deteriorating building. It does not matter how clean you are the cockroaches are never ending. Another problem I’ve experienced is the app that opens the gate. A lot of times the app experiences errors so you are locked out. There is no backup code to use at the gate to troubleshoot the app. Other than that, there are decent prices that includes basic cable and a free carport. So glad my lease is expiring soon.

They made sure l felt at home!! Very well taken care of homes and grounds. Never had a problem with parking. Very quiet-peaceful environment and nice neighbors.The staff is there to help with all your needs. They are very nice and attentive with a smile on the faces at all times. The location is great too with a variety of amazing restaurants all around. Great job guys! I do recommend living here!

Love this place!! Right across the street from The Carrilion. Close to the beltway. Its reasonable priced. We truly enjoy calling this place home!!

We lived here for 3 years until we decided to move to Katy for our sons school. Loved the maintenance people and gabby was so nice and helpful before we left and even after we left a delay amazon package was held for us to pick up afterward. As for the previous managing staff that people complain about in this reviews, I did not have a problem with them. It’s quiet and kid friendly environment.

This place is absolutely horrible! The staff is irresponsible. SAFETY and COCKROACHES are the biggest concern!!! Do not move here!I know what Im reviewing. You had 2 years for resolving the problems, now is too late...

It is my understanding you had applied for an apartment here and after you were unresponsive to our requests for information necessary in order for us to complete the verification process, the lease application was cancelled?Please contact us and we will do our best to help guide you through the process.Sincerely, Retreat at Westchase Management”.....I was NOT “unresponsive” to your requests, everything was going good at first, the staff was nice and helpful. I understand we went back and forth several times, but we were in a unstable time with Covid, the way we were getting paid at work had changed and my employer was out a lot; so of course I was having a hard time getting proof of recent income. I paid my $240 application fee and up to that point we were doing good and have no complaints, but my problem is when it was time to get the keys to the apartment. When I submitted everything needed the lease was emailed to me, I read over the lease and asked questions; I believe it was the manager who was handling my case at this point. I was told to bring a money order with the deposit and remaining rent so that I could move in that same day. I was given an amount of $200 something, so I left work to get that done and I even asked again if the amount given was just the deposit and she replied saying the remainder of the rent was also included. When I arrived at leasing office to give her the deposit and get the keys, as we were talking, she realized she had given me the move in special and since I was only leasing for 9 months, it didn’t apply to me. She said I would have to sign another lease and bring another money order with the correct amount. I understand mistakes happen, but I was on a limited time schedule and before I even got the money order I asked her and she confirmed the amount given was correct, which makes me believe she didn’t even read over the lease, it clearly stated I was renting for 9 months. Then to top it off she kept blaming the other girl saying “I didn’t know, she didn’t tell me it was 9 months” she never apologized, and at one point even asked Me why I didn’t say anything, just shifting blame, but didn’t take responsibility for her mistake of not proof reading the lease SHE sent me. I had arranged the day to move in, had a babysitter waiting for me to take my 3 year old for the evening, had a moving truck ready, I even explained to her and I asked if I could leave her that deposit and bring the rest the next day since I was on a time limit, and she still declined, instead she told me Kroger was right there and they did money orders. I had no problem paying the rest of the money, but the attitude and the way she handled it made it look unorganized and made me wonder if I would have other issues if I moved there...it was very unprofessional given the fact that I think she was the manager.....AND THAT WAS THE REASON WHY I DIDNT MOVE IN, I CANCELLED THE APPLICATION AND LOST MY $240 ON YOUR APPLICATION FEES.

Excellent peaceful environment. Management staff will make you feel at home right away! Great community! I love all of the resident events, staff and maintenance! all of my request are always taken care of as soon as i ask and the front desk staff is always helpful and attentive. The location is great and i would recommend this to anyone looking for an apartment. I usually never write reviews but i felt this was warranted.

My girlfriend and I love these apartments. We have two rooms and the cost is very reasonable for the space. There is not any central lighting and a few critters occasionally, but for the cost, the space and amenities are wonderful. Also the neighborhood is very quite and peaceful. Safe as well.

Please don’t come and rent in this bad apartment save your money you going to break your lease after less a week if you go there..The manger Carlen Wilson she is the horrible manger ever bad service bad talking no respect at all ..I did my application online she was not helpful at all she replied me after a week each step, after her slow reply I canceled everything, my application Supposed to take no more than half hour she had it more than tow weeks, and when I called in the first time they told me it’s 890$ for one bedroom and after I send them the money order 290$ (Application fee and credit check) she called me and say the lady she still new she don’t know the prices yet it’s 1200$ For one bedroom and we can’t return your money I was chuck how they steal money like this, company owner should know whats going on there complex they lose new residents because of her and her bad service, she make me lose my money for nothing !!!!! I have all the mailboxes from her with me and I have the receipt for the money order to prove that !!!!

I recently moved out, when the new management company tookover around January 2018. My unit develop a roach problem, it became really disgusting. Management was notified of the problem, and as usual with any problem they initially turned a blind eye. Its such a shame, the property has such a desirable location and it used to be very pleasant to live in.

This complex has been steadily going downhill for the past year, climaxing with the hiring of new management Carlen Wilson. Little to no communication from staff when you have a package or your rent is late because their terrible systems remove your autopay for no reason. Apparently they stopped doing background checks too because nearly all of our new neighbors are trashy and disrespectful.The only good thing to happen while I lived here was the installation of an Amazon locker for packages, and even then, my information was deleted from the database for no reason right before I received an extremely important package (marked urgent on the front). The staff is rarely in the building when it is convenient for anyone with a 9-5 job. I wouldnt wish living here on my worst enemy.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!! ROACHES EVERYWHERE!!! I’ve lived here 5 months now and have seen roaches daily!! Also pet feces all over the property! I can not wait until my lease is up!!! I’m out!!!!!! I hate it here! Absolutely hate it!! Spoke to the manager about this problem months ago and was told this is what I can expect and that Texas is different from California!I haven’t even moved in furniture because of this issue!! I’m so done!!

When I first moved here I was so happy ... but after the new management took over it was hell. They started increasing the rent don’t move there I know what am telling you.

First of all, it really saddens me to see how many horrible reviews people have left about my apartments. I have lived in apartments all of my life, and compared to a large majority of the places I have lived, these apartments are by far some of the best. I feel it is only right that I negate some of these comments that I have read so far. I have never had any issue with the management here, they are always friendly and Carlen Wilson has always done her best to get back with me when I have any problems. She especially busted her chops to get us in to our apartment two days earlier because we needed to move in promptly. The maintenance has never entered our apartment without consent or without our knowledge. In fact, they are always great about working on anything we need in apartment in a timely manner. If there are any roaches at all, they are the large wood roaches that may come in from outside from time to time, but that happens almost anywhere you live. If people have issues with tiny nasty roaches it is likely because they dont know how to clean their apartment. The pest control here is great and when I had a few silverfish they came in within 2 day and sprayed. I Havent had an issue since then and I am on the bottom floor. The apartments here are very quiet and I barely ever here a siren or noise from the road even though the apartments are right off of Westheimer. The majority of the residence leaving comments here were probably not the best residence in the first place. I could barely read most of the comments on here because they appeared to be written by a child or an adult with a 6th grade education. One person leaving comments on here doesnt know that the dollar sign comes before the dollar value and not after.

They say that gym is opened 24/7, but they dont say that A/C and ventilation systems are off when office is closed. They bill you any time they want and once you paid your bill they gonna ask you to pay some extra few dollars. Also, you will receive you bill just 2-4 days before the deadline coz they are happy to get you paying late payment fee.

Management is a failure. No action on complaints. Once you get in, they wont bother to reply emails too. Gym is equipments in bad condition, gym TV not working since 3 months, and now it has disappeared. Bad quality construction, you will feel it once you get in.

Blinds fell off the wall and hit my girlfriend in the head. No appliances work-- even the replacements by maintenance after having to go argue with the office. Some guy lives in a car outside the gate and screams occasionally. Frequent sirens from emergency vehicles and sounds from police helicopters disturb sleep. Living room has NO lighting. This place doesnt even deserve the one star, zero stars is not an option. Youre better off sleeping in a bus stop.

DONT MOVE HERE!!! The maintenance people will come in your place without cause. They will just come in apparently looking for things to steal. The ladies in the leasing office are the worst Ive ever seen in my entire life. Very poor communication and manipulative ways. They tell you the rent amount and proration amount then after a month they inflate it by 30%! these people are dirty lowdown scum bags! This is not luxury living. No customer service is involved. No retention of good people. They are dirty thieves and we are going to file a file Attorney General complaint, BBB complaint, and calling their sister properties as well. Whatever organization oversees apartment homes will be notified in writing. Everybody will no about this God forsaken place. I repeat .DO NOT MOVE TO THIS TRASH COMPLEX. Keep your hard earned money. Save your money and don’t come to rent here in this bad management apartment they steal You’re money the manager Carlen welson she is the horrible person you will ever deal with not respected at all she made me cancel my application just because of her bad service and employees there they dont know how to work and the funny and most important thing they dont know how much is the rent wich is the common question people ask, so basically they told me its will cost for my apartment plan $870 and then after i apply and I paid 390$the manager called and said its $1200 but i didnt want to continue so she said we cant give you the application money fee wich is $390 for marriage couples and i we had big argument and later they stop respond to my calles and my emails untill inreach the corporate office and i got back only $190 so i lost a 200$, anyway they said we sent the money and i been waiting for the check already 30 days. Bad management ever if they have zero star I will put ..

This is the worst apartment i have ever been in. AC broke when it was 90 degrees and it will take them 4 days to fix it. Their solution was to put me up in their show model room but I have to leave my drivers license with them? How do you function in society without your drivers license?

The manager VIVIAN treats those of us who live here very badly every month. The bill raises the price of the rent. You start paying $ 10340 the first month and every month it goes up from $ 50 to $ 60. I do not recommend anyone to rent while she is there.
