Never move here if you can avoid it. Ive had to submit various maintenance requests every month. Most notably, my ceiling has had to be cut open twice from upstairs pipe breaks. No assistance offered beyond a hotel stay. Major repairs take weeks to finish. Weeks of strangers coming in and out. Management is not helpful. Just avoid if you can, please.
I am going to make this review as fair as possible for prospective tenants. Gosnald Mews is not a horrible place to live, I have viewed much worse. However I have also viewed much better. There are a couple of things that need to be pointed out. Firstly my water bill is crazy. I am a single mom with a young child and My water bill has been as high as $60 a month. My dad pays less than that in a three bedroom house with 3 adults, including my teenage sister all while running a washing machine etc (these apartments do not offer hook ups). My bill is crazy considering I am hardly there.Secondly, for the amount I pay $750 a month, other apartments have more amenities. Gym/pool/playground etc. Gosnald had a pool, which is closed down (beyond repair). If they were smart theyd fill it in an put a gym or playground for the kids there. I personally like more bang for my buck. The laundry facilities are unclean. I stopped using them after I kept encountering pubic hair and leaking washing machines. Soap and suds it is!good points? Its in a nice area, directly opposite Gosnald park. LOVE that park. The people here are lovely.. The sort of neighbors that look out for each other. My neighbor even scraped my car in the mornings when it frosted over. Its pretty quiet.. I have never had any trouble with noise etc..I did see cockroaches coming out of a newly vacated neighbors apartment.. but I reported it and the problem was addressed asap.Overall, it was a safe place to live for me and my kid... But when my lease ends, I will be moving somewhere where they have more amenities for the same money...especially looking for a place with washer dryers etc.
