Ive lived here four years and am only just now moving because I need a bigger place and there are no units here that fit my specific layout desires. I am however moving to a sister property for good reason.My entire time here both the front office and maintenance crews have been nothing short of professional, friendly, communicative, and involved.I know front office staff by name, they recognize me by face (and sometimes name too, which is very impressive considering he size of the community), and they always have a moment to chat. I especially enjoy whenever they host food truck events, because who doesnt love a good food truck?Maintenance has been everything I could have ever wanted. From fixing minor garbage disposal clogs (and teaching me how to prevent and even fix it myself in the future) to spending several days in a row fixing my heater when it was literally freezing over in the spring. Every single maintenance request has been responded to in a timely and wholly satisfactory manner.All-in-all, Abbington has been wonderful to me and I will miss the friendly faces as I move to my next chapter.

The staff is always so friendly & understanding. The amenities are always clean. Paying my rent online is so quick & easy. I legitimately love where I live! I don’t know how long I’m going to be here, but if & when I do leave it’s going to be a sad day leaving such a great community

RUN, dont walk from this debacle. This is giving me public housing vibes! The picture on their website is VERY OLD! Son, and pregnant wife and toddler moved in (son who was in the military). Dirty carpet from 2016 (carpet install date verified by katie at the office). Overall messy conditions with soiled carpets, crumbs, and debris about the unit. missing molding, dirty walls, drainage issue in tub and much more. Townhome looks like it hasnt been updated since the 60s. Over priced move out statement so that the tenants can finance updates. Rent has dramatically increased due to COVID. for the prices, you can live for less in Chesapeake, VA beach or downtown Norfolk. The Audacity! PS you have to press 1 (looking for apt) to get someone at office. For current tenants, pressing another option will go unanswered!

I moved into the Abbington Apartments this past weekend and the entire process was quick and easy. I was able to pick up my keys and move in within a month of looking for an apartment. When I moved in the apartment was very clean and in great condition. I love how they have the Amazon hub for all of your packages and you don’t have to worry about them sitting in a common area. The leasing office was extremely helpful with all of my questions and making sure my move in experience was as easy as possible. I would definitely recommend looking into these apartments if you’re relocating!

Coworker and I moved here around April of last year, visited each of the “sister” complexes and decided here at Hampton Center was best. And I’d have to say we made the right choice. Pricing is reasonable, apartments were spacious and made me feel at home. I’ve used both the gym and pool a lot, very clean and never overcrowded. In a good location, 7/11 across the street for gas and late night snacks, Peninsula Town Center minutes away, Beach not too far either. Never had any issues with maintenance, and they were always responsive. Very open and understanding staff as well, Robert is extremely professional and helpful. Definitely been a good year here. Any fellow service members looking for a good spot, feel free to choose here; there’s already quite a few of us!

What a great community! The staff was wonderful especially Kate who went out of her way to help me since I’m moving from out of state. I am looking forward to my new home in Virginia and Kate really sold me on the place.

Abbington Hampton Center is a good community. I’m satisfied to be living at this location, close to the Town Center and Langley base.

I have lived here for about 3 years. I started in an apartment and upgraded to a townhouse. I absolutely love this community. The maintenance team have been phenomenal since I moved in and the front office staff has always been exceptionally kind and understanding. (Special shoutout to Marie, who rented me my apartment and helped me through a lease change after a break up with humor and grace. And to Bob and Bill on the maintenance team who have always gone above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable and safe.) The communal spaces are always kept clean and they have a high standard for how the apartments and grounds are kept. In the interest of full disclosure, I have had 2 car break ins during my 3 years, nothing stolen, just rifled through, but both times the office staff sent out an email acknowledging what happened and alerting all residents to be careful. I love going for short walks by the lake and my son loves the playground. The location is absolutely perfect.The only reason I’m rating 4 instead of 5 stars is the yearly price hikes. I understand the need for inflation and how great this complex is for the area, but as a single parent I have never been able to make much money and have been denied to renew at the same price after reaching out every year. If our renewal rate balloons too much since we are in a townhouse unit now, we may have to leave. Either way, I have really enjoyed living here. It has definitely always felt like home and I recommend it to anyone who tells me they’re looking for a place.Edited to add: the amount of storage in the townhomes is FANTASTIC, but the apartments don’t have much storage outside of bedroom closets. I miss the balcony and open kitchen/living area of my apartment, but I love all the closet space in my townhouse.

Roaches are everywhere it doesn’t matter how clean you are. Some people get lucky and have an apt that’s properly sealed off but most have either a rat or a roach problem.

Everyone was so helpful when I called and answered each question that we had.

I am a frequent visitor from the north. My friend has recently moved into this complex, every time I have visited I, myself, have killed over dozens of roaches. This is a known issue to management as he has talked to several of his neighbors who also have the same issue.Other than that major issue the apartments themselves are decent.

I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to stay here...their front desk ladies are among the rudest individuals I have ever seen in my lifetime..I’ve put in countless of maintenance requests for faulty washer and still no response so I walk down to the front office and the lady waves me off and then when she sees I’m still standing at the door she comes and aggressively tells me that the office is closed for the day this is on a Wednesday at 1220 (Normal Business Operating Hours) I inform her I’ve had several requests put in and that it’s imperative that I get them fixed but she again rudely tells me their closed and wouldn’t look into it until the next day so I walk away only to notice the entire maintenance team on the grill in the back talking about productive right??? This is an horrible community horrible service and not worth the monthly rent!!

Lived here less than 2 months, and so far the management has been nothing but friendly, helpful, and professional. The apartment was clean (not just tidy) when I moved in, which is something I have never experienced through all the apartments I lived in during college and graduate school. I did notice a few cockroaches a couple weeks after moving in, which is apparently inevitable in this area, but after submitting a maintenance request, the bug sprayer guy came by a few days later and it seems to be working. The staff have truly been incredible and would definitely recommend living here.

This apt complex has a rat problem. I ended my lease after 3 months due to the infestation and lack of customer service. Pest control found a large hole behind my dishwasher where the rodents were getting in. They chewed through my leather couch and my linen closet door to climb the shelves to get ahold of some dog treats that I had enclosed in a bag. Ultimately the rats were coming from the basement. This issue kept me from staying at my apartment for over 30 days. No compensation or rental relief extended. I will never recommend this complex to anyone.

Very helpful staff! Personable and quick in response times to any questions I have had. Moved from out of state - was very appreciative of everything they provided prior to arriving, during arrival and move-in. The website was very accurate as were the pictures of the apartments. Also, very sweet to my dog and understanding of first-time owners!

I just recently moved in to this community and it has been amazing! The apartment was in immaculate shape and completely redone in brand new furnishings. This is by far one of the best apartments I saw while searching and chose to make it my home! It’s located in a beautiful community and close to everything! The staff is extremely customer-centric and has been so helpful! I’d give it 100 stars if I could!

I very much enjoy these apartments and all the features that are included. The property is very peaceful and structurally beautiful. The lake behind my building especially is very exquisite, and it is very appreciated that every room has an amazing Lake view. Me and my husband are very pleased with how safe we feel living here at the Abbington. Which is very imperative since we are expecting a baby this summer. In addition, the staff is very friendly, and always eager to help with any questions or concerns we may have.

Abbington at Hampton Center is a great place to call home. The employees are awesome and maintenance gets the job done promptly. They have awesome amenities and they have resident events each month. The area feels safe to me and my family and it is always quiet and peaceful. They have great spacious floor plans with updated appliances and fixtures. I would recommend this community to my family and friends.

The staff is super friendly. The townhouses are spacious, and I LOVE the built-ins! SO MUCH STORAGE! The gym is larger than most of the ones I’ve seen at other complexes, and the location is PERFECT! Also, having a dedicated Amazon hub is a such a perk.Update 9/7/20: I’ve been here for four months. Everything is still lovely except that if you do not wish to have bugs in your home, I would advise you not to choose a floor plan without carpet. My unit has hardwood, and it is obvious that there was once carpet laid. It isn’t unsightly, but workers have left a gap beneath the baseboards and quarter rounds. Because of this, I’ve had to deal with spiders and roaches crawling out at me from behind my walls, and though I simply find roaches annoying, I am terribly arachnophobic.I asked the complex to move the quarter round to meet the floor in order to cover the gap. In addition to spraying for roaches, I received the following response to the request regarding my quarter round: “They will not be re re installing a quad around the maintenance supervisor didnt feel like that was necessary. Its only a little gap.”I’m off to Lowe’s now to buy the less than $5 length of quarter round, have them cut it for me, buy a small pry bar, have someone come remove the existing rounds (because something else may crawl out to greet me if I try myself), and have them nail down new ones. All of this because the complex cannot see the point in moving it themselves, but I cannot afford to be terrified in my own home. I’ve found upwards of 20 spiders here since moving in, but most have been very small. The ones that live in the walls are much larger and only seem to come from the gap downstairs.I pulled into this parking lot before I moved in to ask a resident if he had a bug problem, specifically with spiders, and he said no. So please be advised that this is just my experience with my unit. I treat my patio and the strip of grass I have and the area around my gate weekly because there are so many spiders on the property. It’s really no surprise they would find their way in. I just didn’t expect they’d come out from beneath my walls.Update 12/16/20: The maintenance team has assured me there’s nothing they can do for my quarter rounds. But it’s winter, and I’m hoping I don’t see anything crawl out at me.The staff is still as friendly as ever. They’re holding a Christmas giveaway this week, and for each day, residents can pick up an activity-related gift. Yesterday’s was a movie night bundle, including a Redbox redemption code, soda, popcorn and candy, and a blanket. Today, they gave out presents for the pets and DIY ornament kits. Long story short, if you’re not afraid of spiders, this place is a wonderful place to live. The staff goes out of its way in every other aspect of living here, from providing info to performing preventative maintenance. ❤️

My experience here has been great from the time that I entered the leasing office about two months ago. Everyone including leasing staff, maintenance, the lifeguard, and my neighbors have been friendly, kind, and respectful. The response to my inquiries and problems have been quick, professional, efficient and have provided positive outcomes. I love my apartment.

I am the type of person who does extremely thorough research when moving or buying new large items, so I spent weeks reviewing and touring area apartments. I narrowed my search down to the top two picks for me, this location, and funny enough their sister location, Abbington at Northampton. Well, I ended up choosing the Northampton location. I loved both but I weighed out my options. I was VERY pleased with this complex; amazing prices, I was looking at 2 bedroom 2 bath units and most were right under $1000/mo. The staff was super helpful during my three total visits and tours (like I said, Im thorough!) What I LOVED about this apartment was the location, the huge lake you can fish from, the huge open floor plan, the kitchen islands, the separate laundry room/large closet and the hardwood floor units. The neighborhood was very clean and well groomed and they had a very nice mail system that could home packages for you (even after hours) so they werent kept on your doorstep. I ended up going with their sister apartment because it was a little bit cheaper and the rooms were slightly bigger. Either way, this complex still deserves 5stars!

My experience at Abbington at Hampton Center has been more than amazing. I have lived there for 3 years and loved it. The staff is always there with a smile and positive attitude. No matter what I need they have always helped me in some way. I want to say Donna has been one amazing employee. Always going over and beyond her job to make you feel like more than just a resident she makes you feel like family. I want to say thank you and I have and will always recommend this property to all my friends.

Overall pretty happy at Abbington. Clean, quiet community nestled against a lake. Nice trees and landscaping. And I have a balcony! The pool is beautiful in the summer. Maintenance is fast and friendly and office staff is professional. I’ve renewed my one-bed lease once and the rent went up 5%. Pets are allowed for $30 a month.

Great place to live. Staff very friendly. Large, clean dog park with double gate to prevent dogs from getting loose when entering or leaving. Pool is pretty cool as well. Maintenance staff is well trained in handling all issues quickly. Would rent here again.

I have nothing but great things to say about Abbington at Hampton Center. The office staff is absolutely incredible, always eager to help, and very kind. The maintenance staff is equally as wonderful. They are timely, considerate, and do a great job with repairs! I love my apartment and the general community. I feel very safe here. A very positive experience thus far. Leasing staff have been very courteous, professional and knowledgeable, making the leasing experience a smooth process. Maintenance team has done an outstanding job correcting my move-in concerns. Amenities are quite nice, with a beautiful leasing center / clubhouse with complimentary coffee, fitness center, resident access business office, Beautiful pool, and even a small lake on-property. Location is good, with easy access to all the Mercury Blvd conveniences and I-64.So far, so good!

Ive only been there about 3 months but so far i am very satisfied. All of the rental agents have been very polite and get right on any small issues Ive had. Whenever i see them at or around the complex they always smile or speak. The maintenance has been very fast and efficient with my needs. The pool, grounds, buildings, gym, rental office and especially the clubhouse bathroom is always immaculate. I wouldve given five stars if the buildings were more sound proof and the dumpsters didnt smell so horrible sometimes. Dont think they can do much about those 2 things. Leasing ladies keep up the awesome job. It the worst to go home to an unpleasant place after working all day. Happy to call Abbington Hampton Center home.

I am still currently a resident and I love my apartment. I dont plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon. I have a lake view apartment, stainless steel appliances, my own washer and dryer that they do not charge extra for and not to mention two full baths. I love the fact that we have a business center and fitness center with access cards so not just anyone can get in. In my three years of living here I have put in two maintenance request which were answered faster than what Im used to. The maintenance and office staff are friendly and are always willing to help you. I feel like this is one of the companies that actually care for their residents and not just taking your money!! I would recommend my community to anyone thats looking for modern apartments for a reasonable price.

I’ve lived here for almost 2yr and overall have had a great experience. I’ve had a few work orders but they come quickly to fix it. The girls in the office have helped me with my packages and sometimes to fax things.

I moved here after speaking to a resident about their experience, which I recommend everyone to do when you’re moving somewhere new. But their experience was positive. Everyone there is great in my opinion! They worked with me when I had to move out before my lease ended I was pregnant and I didn’t want to get stuck moving near my due date. I am so grateful for that as well, and I didn’t have to pay much for the last months rent because they found a different person to lease it. Parking is kinda hit or miss but I could find spaces close enough, which was of concern when I got farther along in my pregnancy. I do like that there is a security door as well. However moving in furniture is a low key nightmare lol the doorways are narrow so it was hard to move my couch in. Zero problems with bugs which is a must for me. I loved the hardwood floors as well. One con is the walls are thin I could hear everything it seemed like, if I had the tv on it was okay though. I’ve since moved because I needed to find a bigger place and I don’t believe they had what I needed at the time but I didn’t get charged for anything after, no hidden costs. I will probably move back here because I honestly can’t stand the place I’m currently at. I definitely recommend!

I am a current resident here at Abbington at Hampton Center, and have to say I have enjoyed living here. The Clubhouse is a definite must have! I dont get off work until 9 pm at night and the gym has extended hours until 12 midnight. The clubhouse is well lit at night which is a plus! The only concern I have is parking can be a challenge late at night to find an open spot close to my apartment. The office staff has been more than accommodating in receiving my packages when I am not home. A big SHOUT out to Donna for always delivering above and beyond customer service! I would definitely recommend this community!

I love living here! The apartment is spacious. The maintenance is great they are out 24 hours or less to fix what ever you need fixed. It is close to everything. The only downside is the parking! It sucks booty hole! You only get one parking pass per apartment and you can not purchase another one if you wanted to. And if you park in the reserved spots without a pass you get towed and $125 later you can have your car back. Unfortunately its the bigger company not the apartment complex that controls that. But everything else is great!

Living here for the last month has proved to have been very accommodating. The staff in the main office is understanding and friendly. The maintenance staff has returned complaints in efficiently reasonable time. The amenities have been great bonuses to the community. I love the convenience of the location and traffic isn’t too bad any time of day. As for some of the personal experiences listed previously by unsatisfied renters, I believe there has to a be a certain level of compromise, yet expectation comfort to live in apartment homes entirely. Especially if you desire things such as hardwood or character that tails with living in older buildings. Also with understanding that not everyone is going to abide by rules and regulations, though the company try’s their best to notify, correct & allow time for compliance.

Abbington has a lot to offer in comparison to its local competitors. Aside from the quality of the apartments and the services that are made available to you once you sign a lease with the company, the Staff is just phenomenal. They are very kind and will go out of there way to ensure you have the best experience achievable. The kind, neighborly attitude here at Abbington at Hampton center is second to none in the Hampton roads area.

The staff are very professional and courteous, especially Taylor. The amenities are great, especially the free coffee at the rental office. Overall its a pretty good place to live and the rent isnt too bad.

These people are ONLY in it for your $ and do not care about you, dont let them fool you! On numerous occasions they would not fix situations caused by themselves, trying to find anyway to blame the renter. LEASE AT YOUR OWN RISK! First off when I was searching for a place to live in the Hampton/Newport News area when I was relocating for work, I probably looked and researched every complex in the area. The last place I viewed was Abbington at Hampton Center and originally wanted an apartment but was pleasantly surprised to see the town house pricing and promptly put a deposit on my current town home and I absolutely love it, can easily say I made the right impulsive decision. The staff is very courteous and quick to help when needed. When I first moved in one of my upstairs toilets wouldnt flush and I put in a work order for it the same day and they were very quick to fix it! The house its self has very nice finishes for the price point and everything was very clean and in good shape when I moved in. They are very good at keeping the grounds up and the club house/pool is VERY nice. Abbington @HC you guys rock, thanks for everything!

I have been a resident for about 5 years now and I couldnt imagine living anywhere else! The ladies at the office are super helpful and wonderful. The maintenance staff are efficient and really nice. This is a place that I feel safe raising my family in!!

When I first searched this place I didnt think it was exactly the same as the website advertised it to be because websites always shows nicer places to win you over however when I arrived there it was just as shown on the site. I havent experienced any maintenance issue but im sure they are as prompt to care for the tenants as well. This place is very nice the staff are very welcoming and kind.

Management and the whole crew deserves more than 5 star. This place is seriously the best, been here one year. Nothing but satisfaction, and anything wrong with your unit they respond instantly. I have lived in 3 apartment complexes and this has to be hands down the best one yet. Quality is above all. Truly recommend.

Is there a rating less than one star? This apartment Complex was a nightmare and possibly the worst place to move if you are looking to live in VIRGINIA . The leasing office employees and manager are less than knowledgeable in the basic rights of tentative renters and they need to be trained or FIRED!The amenities are basic the gym is very small and limited they charge you for 2 months of water and sewage. The leasing office is not helpful when dealing with complaints. 0/5 stars I will be reporting his company to the BBB!

Ms. Marie handled my request for apartment information and reservation promptly! And the cool part about this is that we were able to get everything handled in less than two days, and with me being away on deployment. I cant wait to move in and thank her in person!

Donna, Maggie and Aaron have been very helpful with my move in process and any issues I have had which have been zero. I love the newly remodeled apartments and clean landscape. The fitness center is incredible and has anything and everything I need for my workout. I would definetly recommend these apartments to anyone.

My husband and I moved here from Oregon in 2016, having never been to the East coast before and having to find a home before my husband came back from deployment was scary. I called Abington at Hampton center after finding it on google and spoke with Marie and she made the whole process and easy. We just recently upgraded to a townhouse for our 2 dogs to have a yard and we absolute love it. The staff and maintenance team are always helpful and quickly fix whatever problems that may come up. The grounds are kept extremely clean and landscaped making it a beautiful place to live. If youre looking for an exceptionally clean and safe place to live, call Marie and let her help you!

Im currently stationed in Virginia, and i have lived in the townhomes at Abbington for a year and a half. Military friendly, they accept RPP. Maintenance is very responsive, and i have had no problems with repairs. The leasing staff are friendly and helpful. i thoroughly enjoy the community events such as the pool parties and taco Tuesdays. There are some questionable neighbors in apartments, i recommend renting the town homes

The Fall Festival was awesome. The families got to eat hotdogs, cotton candy, nachos, fruit and drink cider. We played games and fellowshiped. Thanks for the petting zoo and fun games. I got to take a pumkin home to make a pie🤗. Thanks Abbington family for all your hard work!

UPDATE! They have helped me out tremendously in this matter!! Thank you Abbington for everything!!UPDATE FOR 2021: The overall experience I have at Abbington at H.C. is good. Its sad to know that its a possibility that I wont be staying here much longer. My rent went from 1,234 (townhouse) to a tremendous increase 1,417. In the past the max it has went up was $50. I am in the military and the rent will be more than I get for Basic Housing Allowance. I really wish I couldve stayed here for a third year but how could I? Especially, if I feel like I am being robbed. Usually I would tell military families to move to this apt complex but I wont recommend if 2 years later your rent will increase to a point you cannot afford because no one enjoys packing up and moving. I thought about fighting through to stay even with the increase but I am afraid next year my rent will go up another $400 at this rate.REVIEW POSTED 1 YR AGO: I cant express how grateful I am for the maintenance team here! Anytime Ive needed assistance here theyve always helped me! For a housing community to thrive they should always have a good maintenance team and a wonderful team in the leasing office. With that being said, they have exceeded my expectations. Move to abbington. Youll love it.

This is literally the worst place to live on earth. I have never had a worse living experience. I have a toddler running around on hardwood upstairs constantly. The so called community attendant has to witness the noise so according to the office the noise doesn’t exist. Real issue is why tf do you have hardwood on upper level floors. I just had my freaking car towed out of my own apartment lot. Please never move here in live. I’m going to find the best way out so that they can move someone else can into this misery unwittingly to them

I truly like my townhome! The washer/dryer combo outside of my bedroom and storage wall/ cabinets in the upstairs hallway won my over! The staff of the Abbington at Hampton Center is kind, courteous and are quick to remedy minor issues/ maintenance calls. I enjoy the amenities as well (gym, pool, and community area, etc.)

I needed a place to stay ASAP! I came in and the staff were all very helpful. The process was fast smooth and simple. I had everything taken care of that day and I moved in. The apartments are very nice!!!

I just renewed my lease for another year. Maintenance always comes quickly to fix things and the girls in the office alwyas help me print things and get my packages. For valentines day they gave everyone candy on the doors.

I am not sure about the all fuss regarding this Property. I have lived on this Property since 2012. Every issue has always been taken care of. Emails are always answered. The staff is always there when needed. I see a lot of petty issues that I think residents can do themselves. But I get it. Your paying rent for these issues to be taken care of. A lot of people have to understand that some issues are out of the staff and maintenance hands and does take time to resolve. I have had a ceiling leak, multiple times. Nothing I can do until it stops leaking, dries up and then they can fix the issue. I have had loud neighbors. Call the office during business hours and after hours they come right out. Staff is great. Love Jessika and Jessica and Marie and the newbie Chelsea. They work hard to make us happy along with their maintenance team. Great Job AHC!

I thoroughly enjoy living at Abbington at Hampton Center Apartments. Ive lived here for two years and the customer service is awesome, the grounds are maintained, maintenance is always ready to assist, and the pool & clubhouse are amazing. If you are looking for a modern, affordable place to rent-come check us out, youll love it!

Nothing but good experiences so far. Maintenance requests are handled promptly and Annelise in the leasing office always goes above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service.

Very nice apartment complex, every thing in the apartment is up to date with appliances which I love. Do feel like they a little pricey compared to the other complexs in the area. Maintenance is super fast as far as responding to complaints/orders. I rated 4 stars because the parking is TERRIBLE. I’ve had my car towed twice since I’ve lived here (a year). They tow your car for the smallest reason, rather you blocking an entrance that’s not being used or your parked on a curb that clearly doesn’t have a “no parking” sign but they’ll still tow you. I’m scared to have visitors over. I agree with the other reviews, unless your a single person who don’t plan on having visitors at all than this is the place for you. It’s frustrating knowing I can come home and not have a parking space close to my building or having to park blocks away on the street. I do not plan on renewing my lease this year due to parking, I rather pay extra somewhere else where parking is guaranteed.

Abbington at Hampton Center is the perfect blend of affordable housing and residential benefits. If you catch the prices during seasonal lows you will definitely end up with a good deal. The units have recently been remodeled to include new appliances and cabinetry. Located in a central area of Hampton anything you can think of is within five miles including Peninsula Town Center.The office staff are helpful and informative as well. Any issues that I have run into have been quickly resolved and followed through to ensure its resolution. Paired with online residential account access, a new business center, and a new gym and a pool, Weinsteins Abbington at Hampton Center leaves little left to be desired.

The staff in the office is great. Had a ton of questions and they were all answered by the assistant manager Ashleigh. she gave me a tour of the property and all of the different type of model units. she was excellent representative of the company.

Very friendly and helpful staff! The grounds are well cared for. The new appliances and kitchen cabinets are lovely. I would recommend!

Thanks to the ladies helping me out. They have a great computer room and gym and I really enjoyed the apartment.

Currently dealing with an ant issue. Put in a ticket and they sent out pest control to spray. Couple days later I saw ants again. Put in another ticket and asked if they can do a little more to find out where they are coming from. Im thinking they can check some entry points, make sure all sealing is sufficient etc. Came home that day and saw another maintenance slip, again all they did was spray. Still dealing with seeing ants every day and I do not keep a nasty place. I dont have a whole lot of complaints about my stay here but they do have pest issues.

Awful parking! Third time getting my car towed in the year Ive lived here. Whoever planned out these apartments did not account for people having more than 1 car or guests over, so if you only have 1 car and never have company this place would be ok for you. And I say ok because the walls are also thin with neighbors that are always fighting or partying. They only hand out one parking pass per apartment no matter if there are two people on the lease or not and my roommate has the parking pass. So residents without passes and guests alike have to park in guest parking (aka a small section of street they allow cars to park on the side of). This fills up very fast, and if you come home at the wrong time there will be no guest parking spaces. Theres always available reserved spots though, so Ive taken chances (Not that I really had a choice; I have absolutely no idea where to park if the small guest area is full) and Ive paid the price ($125 to some shady tow lot all the way in Yorktown, and yes they tow almost every night). I even offered to pay multiple times for an extra pass but they refused. There are plenty of other apartments in the area that actually have parking! Would not recommend! They could at least allow residents pay extra for a parking pass!

I would rate it 5 stars.... However the parking for me is HORRIBLE.i would rather enjoy having a parking space i could depend on Daily. Because lugging in groceries and things of that nature can be a pain. however i enjoy the community. As well sometimes at night it can get a little LOUD. but other than that i enjoy it.

I am active duty and I lived in better places before joining the military. I will start off with the apartment itself. The wall are very thin if you are just sitting in the living you can hear every single one of your neighbors. You can honestly hear every word of your neighbors conversation with our tv on. The floors sound like they was gonna collapse every single step you took. Very big roaches and water bugs were spotted during the day every season of the year. Water did not stay warm despite multiple calls to maintenance.They messed up my monthly payments at least 4 times that I can remember over a 12 month lease. Weather it would be a money order or a online payment. I would then get a letter on the door saying I have a court date and a late few due. I had to speak to the office numerous times about issue I had. I had a package shipped to the apartment and they denied my shipping. It took me a month in a half to get a package I ordered for 1 day shipping. My car was broken into twice. Filed a police report, and did not notify the apartment complex of these issues after telling me they would.Before moving out, me and my wife did everything we could to clean up the house before moving out, we took 3 days from our job to clean up the house from the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, and even the patio, and they still charged us a extra $400. I gave them a extra $250 and my security deposit and still owe them $200.Overall I am letting my higher ups know about this stressful year I had with them, and we are attempting on putting this apartment on the do not stay list. I don’t recommend this place for military or anyone of that matter.

Marie is a wonderful help. Iwas having issues with the online application process for the wait list, and she helped me right through it. I look forward to moving into a community with such a helpful staff.

This place has been my home for 22 years =), ( Before the name change) and I have enjoyed living here and I know that anyone who comes will too! So if you are thinking about joining the family, think no more, go ahead and do it!

The office staff was great at finding me an great apartment! Maintenance is fast and efficient! Great huge doggie park with a beautiful lake veiw.Area seems very quiet and safe! Apartments are newly renovated as well as gym and computer room with free WIFI..I love it here so far no problems!

I just moved here and the front office staff is amazing and the apartments are very spacious but the walls are very thin so i can hear my neighbors all the time.

I live on the 3rd floor here at HC .CONS:- the hardwood floor gets scratched up sooooo easily. It sucks because I have a feeling they’re going to charge us for that when we leave.- Also, the walls are pretty thin, we barely have an issue with that though being that we live on the 3rd floor and it’s a corner apartment. We used to hear our neighbors but we asked them once to keep it down after 10pm and they did for the most part.- the package system kind of sucks here. I would get a notification from the shipping company saying my packages have arrived and I would send My husband to go check for packages and they would never “find the package” but then I would go (and I would not leave until they really look in there) and it would magically appear.PROS:- For the most part the people at the front desk are very very polite and really nice.- THIS IS THE BIGGEST PLUS: the maintenance people are sooooooo fast with fixing things. I would call about something and they would come that day or latest the next day. Even after hours we’ve had a couple times where our AC wouldn’t be working properly and we’d call and they’d come in hours. 24hr maintenance definitely means 24HRS I love that.- safe place for the most part, never had any issues with my place or car.-double security: there’s a key to the entrance of the building and a key to our door. It gets annoying but it seems like it prevents break ins so that’s good!- lastly, their prices are very very fair.I WILL UPDATE MY REVIEW AFTER I CHECK OUT THOUGH, BECAUSE I KNOW APARTMENT COMPLEX TRY TO GET ALL YOUR MONEY WHEN YOU CHECK OUT. HOPEFULLY THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM.

Moving in could not have been any easier than it was. Maggie and crew streamlined the proccess and made it quick and easy. The staff are always ready to help with whatever you need. The apartment was everything I was looking for and then some. Would reccomend to any friends and family 10/10

I found this community because it was close to my job and also close to the central part of Hampton, I met Shanice and she showed me all of the many perks of the community and I was convinced, I ended up getting a townhouse and I love it, stainless steel appliances and renovated interior. I was able to get a home for the price compared to other places, I would recommended this community to others! I thank Shanice for the outstanding customer service and the staff and management for a quick and easy process with moving in!

Lived here for two years now. Love it. Appartments are nice. Offfice personnel and maintenance people are fantastic. Club house, business center and gym are very nice as well. My appartment is right on the lake. Beautiful view. Very quiet and relaxing.

I moved here July 13 2018 Im from NYC I lived on another property owned by this company and this property is the best since I been here I had some sistuion nothing big but the manager and worker here took care of it the females that works in the office is the best the ones working here now Marie and Jessica they fast and on top of things being here I feel at home Im pleased with my place the building is quite I want to thank management and mataince worker and secretary worker for all they good work this is a place I will recamend to live at also the apartment are big clean up to date it is amazing keep up the good work also they have a Courtesy officer i saw her checking lights never new we had one she is amazing they work for they tenant so if u looking for a place make this complex your home also I was given a handy cap spot in 5 day so yes Im loving this place

I lived here for 2 Yrs. When I moved out I was charged forBrand new carpet! The carpet wasn’t at all new when I moved in & wasn’t much difference fromWhen I moved out. They also charged me other fees that didn’t at all make sense! I moved because Of mice!!!!! My townhome always stayed clean... Always! I reported it as soon as I seen one running across my living room. They put traps down caught the mouse and afterwards I had at least 5 more mice in my townhome and I wasn’t the only one!! I willNEVER go back!

Let me tell you about abbington at hampton center. Not only do you get a bang for your buck this place is a perfect apartment complex to reside at. Aside from the communities beauty the management team and staff go above and beyond for their residence. Im talking about monthly contest at leasing office, holiday celebrations, and even makes time to know you as a person. Halloween we got to paint pumpkins at the office. The week leading up to christmas had a celebration every day! Breakfast with santa for the kids? Check! Their dog park might as well be equivalent to that of one from a dog show. And yes you will have some issues with noise but thats any and almost every apartment complex. For those of us who cant afford a house learn to adapt and bes respectful to our neighbors. Also I absolutely love how no one can get to my apartment door unless they have a key to the building. Ive never felt safer living on my own. This apartment complex is legit the best and the most affordable! At least check it out to see for yourself. OMG and their gym 😍 just take a tour and see how beautiful it is.

They never answer their phone..stuff is always breaking and they give bs fixes. I have had a squirrel in my house twice because they havent fixed the hole correctly. Also in the summer time theres alot of vandalism to cars and such stuff.Update..i hear gunshot a little too much...

Extremely helpful, courteous, efficient, polite, proffessional, and understanding, staff. The property is great, clean, childrens playground is very clean, the pool is very clean, the gym is very clean, Mr. Aaron was a very big help. Glad we found this place would recommend it to anyone.

Ive been here for over a year and I find it appropriate to share a review.First thing I noticed at move in was that it was not at all the unit I verbally reserved. I was to have black appliances and hardwood floors, I ended up with stainless steel and carpet, no biggie but a courtesy heads up would have been appreciated. Learned the hard way the leasing consultants do not believe in reaching out to lease holders or following their own protocol. Now, during my inspection the ventilation filter was well past its time to be cleaned or changed, next the balcony infested with spiders and their webs, and a water pocket in the ceiling of the kitchen. All discrepancies fixed in a timely manner.Things that occurred during my residency, was a pest problem typically roaches and spiders but the turn around and communication is what knocked my rating to 3 stars. Along with lost mail since you can only pick it up from the office, they say theyll email you, false, just track your own mail/packages . There are no vents in the bathrooms of the Chesapeake or Clarmont so in the winter time have a space heater on standby. The cleanliness in the landings are not well kept, lights can be out forever, and door knobs stuck. I understand things happen but these things should be inspected a lot more often if not on a daily basis. Other than that Ive gladly renewed my lease under certain circumstances... LOL So hope for a better year! ;)
