From all the negative comments and experiences on here, I would have to say I will never use this company. Thank all of you for your honest and horrible reviews. I will follow up with a 1 star rating as well. The company doesnt even respond to these comments. Wow,not getting my business! ✌

I actually paid the $95 and yes at first I was like hell no I want my money back because almost EVERY house on my list was taken and was for a while. Then I went back up there demanding new listing and an explanation, at first I was going to report them to the BBB but I gave them a second choice. I found my home within a week or two, no it isnt fancy or newly modeled, but yes it is a stable home and me and my family are comfy in it. No, I do NOT plan on renewing my lease or using Help U Rent anymore because of the funny business but I do thank them.

I dont usually write reviews but I want to warn you. Save your money. Total waste. I continually got the same listings each week. I did not always get listings with the specifics I requested or even in the location I requested. Also most of the listings they had were from rental agencies I had already checked out. I thought they would have more unpublished listings but in all honesty if you check your local paper or craigslist you will find the exact same listings. The clincher for me though is when I asked them to verify the number on a listing that was not correct. I called them no less than 5 times about this number and how I was leaving messages but no one was getting back to me. I was told that they verified the property and spoke with the person, but no one checked the listing they were sending out. The only way I found out the correct number is when I got a newspaper and saw an ad for a rental agency with the same last name of the person I was trying to reach and the phone number was one digit off from what Help-U-Rent printed. These people are unbelievable.

They help me find a home in a great neighborhood 3 years ago and I’m still here. Great company!!!

We started our search just receiving the email listings because we were out of town, but when we finally made it into the office to pick up our listing for that day the woman sat there with us for almost an hour going through the list with us highlighting places that she though we would like the most in the areas we were looking, and she was spot on! Every where we went to view was exactly what we were interested in. I think her name was Melissa, she was AWESOME! After trying to sort through the mess on craigslist and getting frustrated it was absolutely worth it.

This place is a complete scam. I call for my updates and they never send them. I dont have time to go up there and when I do its all the same listings. Half of the numbers dont work and the other half dont answer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I hope this place goes out of business and goes straight to hell.

My boyfriend and I are trying to find a place to rent. Everytime we call to get an update of the listings they never send them. We payed 80 dollars! Waste of money. I wish I would have looked at the reviews before we paid. And the lady who answered the phone was completely rude to him, very unprofessional. Wish we could get our money back.

If I could rate a zero I would. Worse money ever spent. Did nothing for us. I would never recommend this to anyone. PLEASE STAY AWAY. run as fast as you can. you can do the same stuff on your own and it doesnt take 5 mins

This service cant do anything for you that you arent already doing yourself if youre searching for a place to live. They dont have any pictures of the properties they give you lists of. Even craigslist has that. They also just give you a long list of places county-wide. I told them specifically I needed to find a spot between my work and my wifes, and they can only generate lists that show the entire county or city. Out of a list of nearly 150 homes, I found one single listing that was in the area and it was a dump.This also means that, if youre looking for a place in a specific area, YOU have to spend hours plugging addresses into google maps to see if the house is even where you want to live. So you have to do all the work, all they do for your $95 is create a search on a computer that doesnt even accommodate something as simple as finding a spot halfway between two other places.Also, they say they give you a private line to call each day and get updated listings from. The first day i tried it already didnt work and said it was not in service. I called and complained and the guy said he would call me back, but he didnt.So, basically what you get for this is a system that is not customizable for your needs, NO PICTURES (in case you would like to SEE the place before you invest time and energy driving out there just to find out its terrible), a private line that doesnt work, and spending all your own time figuring out the details just like doing it on your own, FOR FREE!But NO REFUNDS and NO EMAIL BACK When you complain about the service so BEWARE!!!

Corey at helpurent was a God send. She helped me find a place in one day. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! Her list was on point and if you have credit problems, Help u Rent are the ones to call.

All the houses that Im interested in are not available. The list that I get are usually places that not what Im looking for and the places that I did like are listed on other sites. Not worth the money.

I see all of the reviews on here and I cant do anything but shake my head at them. This place helps those that have a less than pristine background, be it credit or criminal. Those places that you say you can find on craigslist and zillow are 9 times out of 10 going to require those types of things. Yes, you had to pay a fee up front for them, but they have to make a living as well. It PALES in comparison to the amount of time and money you will waste paying for background checks and admin fees that you know you have no way of passing. Im sure if people could give those of you who are posting bad reviews one of their own, Im sure youd get less than the 1 star that you had to give them. They helped me find a place that, I am quite sure, I would have never been able to find on my own. I had a home within 4 days . No, its not my dream home, but it is something to get me by until I could get on my feet. Im actually thankful they were here to help me when I needed it most.

Just all around bad experience! Do not waste your money. Wish Id took my own advice

Help-U-Rent is a complete rip off. they tell that they are going to help you find housing. once you pay they give you a list that you get from the internet for free they lie. they tell you theyre going to send updates to your email, when actually you have to call for them to send an update the updates have like 1 or 2 properties at a time this place is a rip off dont waste your time

TOTAL RIP OFF!!!!!!! the staff lied about everything! !!! Total misrepresentation of the company I called trying to help a homeless family they made so many promises. ....NONE of them came tru.... I worked with them for 35 days ...NOTHING. ....dont trust these people just look at the other reviews. ..its not just me

Rip off! In late March of 2016, I was relocating my grandfather to greensboro from another city. I was running short on time and contacted this company. They did indeed send me a list of rentals over every week I asked, HOWEVER my card number was not just used for their one time fee. The fee was $95. But within two business days, a $300 charge was placed fraudulently at some wholesale meat packaging store in Greensboro that I had never heard of before. Good thing we were able to notify the bank in enough time to get a refund, but we were assed out of $95. Just dont even bother with them. I ended up finding a home for rent on my own. A waste of moneyyyyyy!

Awful service and a total rip off! this company essentially re-list listings that you can and HAVE already seen via Craigslist/trulia/hotpads/etc. As a heads up they will justify no refunds. In my experience the majority (95%) of the listings are slums and are far from safe locations. This goes for Greensboro, High Point, and Winston -Salem. In addition, several of the landlords of properties that were listed that had slight potential requested ridiculous stipulations. Some asked for me to clean the trashed property left by the previous evicted renter which would give me a month off or discount. I stepped into one property and saw a unbelievable mess! a living room suite was left and even dying fish in a bucket. One with common sense would know the previous renters was coming back whether someone else was moving in or not.... In another situation a landlord asked me to invest in a source of heat. Thats response goes without further comments!In reference to HELP-U-RENT... they flat out provide nothing useful to you. they want your money and they will get angry if you share the details of the listings! Ironically you can find the same information yourself, so how could they be mad at you? They are what I call nice-rude! They will act nice when taking your money and as you continue to call them for updated listings the rudeness will kick in. Eventually they will brush you off and promise to send a listing but you wont get it. When reaching someone later on the matter they will then deny you even called.This is a 100% real and honest review NOT with the intentions of trashing this company but simply exposing the truth of what to really expect. You will not find reviews like mine because I dont work there or make false reviews to help their service. Ill leave it at that!... Heres some advice: Avoid them totally or simply resell the information you paid for from them to make your money back. That is the only way you will be happy! Shame on them!

This service is a total rip off..Essam have been so unprofessional. EVERYTHING HE PROMISED WAS NOT TRUE AT ALL. I have constantly called and request rentals. I was given the same one not once but twice. I ask for a certain group of listing and was sent what they figured was right. I cant get a refund. (pissed) Totally unhappy and I will not tell anyone to use this company Never..Worst experience where...Total Rip off dont waste your money its not worth it. This company is very unprofessional. I wish I would have research this before I wasted my time. Money can be replaced but not time. I RECEIVED 1 OUTDATED LIST in a week. Even after I called daily to hear excuses of we are doing updates on properties to We just recieved a new list from landlords as soon. As we get them sorted we will email you. To Please call back between 2-4 and I MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR COREY And I will be sure you get a list. Now first. I am a full time professional who service consumers, so how am I ecpected to STOP MY DAY TO CALL YOU FOR WHAT I PAID FOR??????? BUT the nerve of treating ppl like #s after you get their money. I dont know where the emails went but I never received any. Finally last night I spoke to someone name Dakota who said he was the manager and promised AGAIN TO SEND ME AN UPDATED EMAIL. IM GUESSING MY EMAIL EATS LIST, CAUSE I YET TO RECEIVE ONE. SAD. SO SAD.A COMPLETE SCAM.

After taking your money, they send you one listing with 10 or so houses in the wrong area that I requested. It was like the questions that they asked went thru one ear and out the other. Also the email that they send you with the listing takes (what they say) 30 minutes to get to you (but I waited 3 hours). I called and found out it went to the wrong email address. Called the next day to check on some other listings, and they still had the WRONG email address. Called a week later, STILL the WRONG email address. Guarentee that if I called today, they would still have it wrong. It was $85 dollars of my money down the drain. I can google houses, craigslist them and get a realtor for cheaper. What a waste!! Thanks for nothing!Please tell me Help U Rent, what was your job again? I looked on your website today and there are two houses for rent in the area that I want. WHERE is my email?!!! Where is the email that shows this?? WHY AM I HELPING MYSELF?? Isnt the name of YOUR company HELP U RENT??????!!!!! I want my money back!!! And Im telling everyone about your company and how this was a waste. Shame on you for conviencing me that you would help me and my family. This company gave us false information about houses, and when we finally did move into one, everything broke almost immediately. When we called and asked to have things repaired (refrigerator and AC both broke in the middle of the summer) they refused to fix it. Horrible experience. Do not use them.

I found a place off of the first listing I got. I returned the next year to get another listing.
