Terrible drivers with zero accountability. I had one of their cars behind my truck (I was towing a boat)...He was inches from my outboard at 55mph even though there was a line of traffic in front of me.As soon as I got in the turn lane he sped by, rolled the window down and flicked me off... Then proceeded to tailgate the car that was in front of me.Ive never seen anyone drive a company car like this (in 20 years of CDL driving)... Theres a phone number on the car youre driving you pine cone!I called and never received a call back. Youd be safer hitchhiking!

The driver Keith is so very nice and sweet, he knows the area very well, he remembered exactly who I am, and remembered our conversation we had from 2 months ago. Keith keeps his car very clean, he makes me feel SAFE and comfortable all while engaging in wonderful conversation. Keith also has great knowledge of any great and fun events that are going on any where in the 7 countys around the Tampa Bay area, if Keith recommends going or trying any thing, go do it, you wont be disappointed. I placed a call for a 3 mile ride home,because I was feeling too wobbly/lazy to walk. I was told by the driver it would be a 25 min wait. No problem. After 35 minutes I call back to see where the driver was and how much longer he would be. I was told at that time that I should just WALK. Walk........walk. I was just told to walk.......from a taxi service. Doesnt seem like the best way to do business. I called Uber for a ride, and you should too.

#8 parks in the no parking/ fire lane. I called Hanks to let them know their driver was parked in a no parking zone and they just blew it off! I will never use this company and I will let everyone else know not to use them! This country has laws for a reason, more times than I can count people are parked in a fire lane and it makes it difficult and dangerous to cross behind a car because other drivers can not see you entering the road!

I had a bit too much to drink at Dees place and left my phone in the taxi. Called and they said yes they do have it but it will cost $11 plus gas to bring it to my house. I pay 7 dollars to go to walmart. Why should I pay so much. I will never use this taxi again. My mom had used them before they were green. They disrespect me they disrespect my mom. To bad Hank does not own the company anymore. At least he cared!

Not surprised to see all of these horrible reviews. I wish I could give zero stars to this company. Let me start by saying the VERY UNPROFESSIONAL woman who answered the phone the first time I called to schedule a pick up for my patient (I work in healthcare) she sounded high as a kite! I’m a nurse, I can tell when someone is under the influence and this woman was slurring her words to the point where I didn’t even know if she was talking to me or not. Couldn’t understand a word she said! They told me they would be 30 minutes to an hour to pick up my patient. As a nurse... working on a critical care unit, I cannot sit outside with a patient for that long and wait for the taxi and we also cannot allow an 80 year old woman to sit out in a parking lot by herself. I assumed the driver would have some decency to call when they arrived. HOWEVER, I got a phone call by a woman SCREAMING... and I mean SCREAMING at me that her driver has been waiting for 30 minutes. I apologized right away and said I would bring the patient right down and that I was under the assumption that the drivers call when they arrive. She screamed once again at me and I also heard a man in the background laughing sarcastically as he said “oh that’s real nice, what a waste of my drivers time.” The woman then proceeded to scream “BRING HER DOWNSTAIRS NOW!” And then hung up on me. I grabbed my patient quickly and took her outside in a wheelchair and did not see a taxi. Called them back and she laughed and told me that she sent the taxi driver away and that she would call another driver back but it would be another hour wait. Again, I don’t have time to wait with a patient for an hour when I work on a critical care floor. I called my charge nurse from outside asking what I should do and she called the taxi service, the pleasant woman screamed at her as well. So my charge nurse called our house supervisor and he then called this woman. I’m assuming it didn’t go over very well either since there was a broadcast sent out to our entire hospital notifying us all that we are not to use Hanks Taxi Service for any of our patients transportation services going forward. That’s a lot of service you just lost.... over 400 beds in our facility and we tend to use your taxis quite a bit. Good luck 👍🏼 Maybe teach some professionalism to your employees and try doing some drug testing! Toodaloo!

I used this service to get a taxi ride to a friends after being discharged from the hospital. The person I had was very friendly and professional and his car was very clean. I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all it was all just very laid-back. I’m over all happy and will use them again if needed.

My 76 year old mother has used Hanks Transportation for quite some time. She loves all of the drivers and has not had ANY issues with any of the drivers. That being said, she was taken to the eye-doctor yesterday by one driver and told them she would call when she was ready. She was told by a young lady it would be an hour and a half. She waited the hour and a half, no one showed. The nurse at her doctor office then called for my mother and was told it would be another 2 hours. The young lady answering the phone was rude and extremely unprofessional. My mother said she would call back to speak with Hank and was told by the young lady she wouldnt let my mother speak to Hank even if she did call. My mother was taken home by the husband of one of the nurses at the eye-doctor.This is unacceptable. I see other reviews here stating customer service is horrid and yet nothing is done about whomever is taking the calls. My mother loves the drivers, she feels safe with all of them, and does not want to use another service but now does not feel positive about relying on the service knowing the wait could be however long the person answering the phone states it is.Edited: changed a word safe to positive about.

Very rude over the phone at night. Threatened to come to my house. After refused to pick up cause charge was 3 dollars over 20. Told him didn’t have the extra 3 but promised a big tip at drop off cause need to be go to gas station. They loss, been using for years and this has been probably the 14th time I’ve had a problem with them. Always give them a benefit of doubt. Seems like they don’t like to make money at night.

ZERO stars. Hanks has the absolute worst customer service I have ever personally dealt with in my life and I wasnt even the one needing the service. I work for a medical facility that uses them for help taking patients home. Me among MANY MANY other staff members have had something to bad to say after the shortest of interactions with this company. I have been yelled at and i repeat YELLED at and hung up on while trying to get a weak patient downstairs. They will not call when they are close, they instead want you to bring a patient down as soon as they call and wait with said patient for up to 30 minutes until they arrive . This staff has tons of sick patients to care for and cannot be downstairs waiting on a taxi to arrive just so they dont have to call us when they are close. The man in the dispatch office is the worst and has some serious anger issues that need to be resolved. The worst part is instead of apologizing for this behavior that myself and clearly everyone else has experienced, someone is just giving excuse after excuse, EVERYONE is telling you this man is appalling! Maybe hes the owner... yikes . I dont know how this place is still in business.

The dispatcher there is incredibly rude and is quick to hang up on you for something as small as giving them information before being asked for it. If that werent enough the wait times are often up to an hour. If they are delayed further by shift changes you are not notified. I was late to work because of them twice. I will never use them again nor recommend them to anyone, ever.

My mom and i called for a ride and they never showed so we took a bus. Later on i had to get a ride and called again hoping to have better luck they asked how we got home the first time and i said the bus. They hung up. I called back and said i guess we got disconected. The guys exact words were yeah we got disconected and we are about to do it again then he laughed at me and hung up again. Very disrespectful and not reliable.

I called hanks transportation to request a ride from Brooksville to Winter Garden for my girlfriend. Dispatch was very polite and the price was fair. Dispatch called back to make sure driver arrived. Driver was polite and delivered my precious cargo safely. Thanks Hank. Will recommend to others.

Let me just begin by saying that the male dispatcher is beyond rude...I waited outside over an hour for a taxi and no one showed up. When I called back to question about the whereabouts of driver the dispatcher LIED and said that the cab already been there. When I said Ive been outside waiting an hour and saw no taxi he then replied YEAH, AND IM NOT ABOUT TO ARGUE WITH YOU AND HUNG UP IN MY FACE. Hanks just lost a loyal customer. Wish I could give no stars.

The amount of bad reviews doesnt surprise me one bit. I waited outside in the heat for 45 mins after they were twenty minutes later than they said theyd be, a male voice was heard in the background saying the cab already came and you werent there goodbye very rudely and hung up. Idk where they went but it wasnt where I was. Either way, the error wasnt mine and that was uncalled for! Of the hundreds of people that go through where i live, I will make sure none ever call this serviceSucks that Uber wins again because this small business has such poor customer service!

The Day driver we asked to file A complaint he never returned our call he drove way above the speed limit and put myself and my wife at risk .... And he actually farted in the car. And he will take the longest way get your GPS out.Their saving Grace is their night Driver he is A great guy and and very professional we wait until after 5 to use Hanks .

Rude, rude, rude!!!!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. Called to get a price check on a cab fare for later on (which I specified) bc I was driving at the time and couldn’t look up the mileage. I was told by some rude man that he couldn’t even look it up and give me a price, and then tells me if I’m driving then I don’t need a cab and hangs up on me! I’d rather walk the 10 miles than ever call this company to pick me up. Totally unprofessional!

I was telling her when I would need the cab when she hung up on me. I dont need to explain anything. Just do your job. 💯💯

I did not use this service but one of there drivers flew out of a side road without stopping onto Mariner Boulevard right in front of me almost causing an accident. When I called to report the driver, the man answering the phone was rude and defensive of his driver and told me I was lying. I will never use their service!!I have a picture of the car!! It was car number 2. The white Chevy Impala. I will now be reporting this incident to the police!!

I spoke with the guy on the phone. He was VERY rude and abrupt. He asked where I was, where I was going and that was IT. No pricing, no ETA, nothing. He didnt say okay, Ill send someone now or anything, he just said Goodbye. Confused, I called again and asked if he was going to send someone and he said Didnt I say goodbye? Are you kidding me? Am I supposed to be a mind reader? With his attitude I could have taken his Goodbye as a Im not coming I understand that may be all the information YOU need but how about taking another minute out of your damn day to give the person PAYING FOR YOUR SERVICES the information that they need? Or is that asking too much. LMAO.Would be nice if you actually talked to people in a respectful and kind manner. I work in customer service and I wasnt even calling this place for me, it was for ANOTHER PERSON. This is just unacceptable to me. I would never treat anyone like that at my job. I have been using hanks service for over 10 years and all of the drivers Ive been in contact or very nice and courteous. However the dispatcher is a nasty little man. I talked to him after waiting for an hour at the end of my driveway and he told me a driver had sat in my driveway for 10 minutes blowing his horn. I was sitting in my driveway all that time so how did I miss him. Anyway he told me to call a different service and I said that it wasnt convenient for me. So he said I was getting nasty with him. Anyway I just tried to keep my mouth shut. And he sent another taxi later.

This morning/afternoon on July 19th a very polite, outgoing gentleman picked me up to take me to the Walmart on 19. Asking how my day was, having the utmost respect, and also going out of his way to help me put all my groceries in the cab, not just throw the groceries in and lets go, it was do u have any eggs, anything that needs to be put in first. Basically, this gentleman was the man you need to have EVERYDAY. I have used you guys so many times, so many drivers just sit in their car, as I am loading all my groceries. This gentleman didnt hesitate. It was in his character. I would highly recommend him. He is one of the rare gentleman that loathes, breathes and takes pride in his job. Thank you so much again for making my day great with your AMAZING service. Hank, this man needs to run your business. He is the only one that shows respect. Shows compassion, and shows that asking how someones day was, helping them with their groceries, makes all the difference in someones day!

Why are all the owners of these cab companies so defensive even calling people liars,very unprofessional.Customers are entitled to their opinions,they are what keep you in business. People read these yes but they usually form their own opinion,like I just did.Im sure all the negative responses are not completely true but some are.My friend owns a business and answers back positively even with the negative reviews,you can kill more flies with honey than vinegar.

Called 2 hours in advance and told the dispatcher I was at a certain place about 4 times. I called 5 minutes after they were supposed to show up and they told me they wont go there 😃 was really relying on that cab and they screwed me and wouldnt honor it . Again I confirmed 4 times before the call ended. Good job Hanks! NOT. I dont want to stop talking smack but I have to do laundary. Not rude people but jumble brained for sure!

If u dont care when they show or when u get to ur destination this is the cab u want!!!!Called to get a ride to walgreens at 1112 needed med. For sick son!!! operator told me its closed explained open till 1200 said he send someone rt away its now 1159 called back to office to tell him no one showed up yet and u knew i was trying get to walgreens before closed!! He said should have been there already. This is the second time someone was supposed to pick me up in certain time and never showed and both times they say driver should have been there. And both times operator was like sry bout ur luck and hang up!!!

Dude who answers the phone is horrible at customer service and rude as hell. I was walking home from another house which was an hour walk overall. 10 mins in I decided to call a cab cause it was too cold. I was on a street corner. He asked if I have an address. I said no and before I finished my sentence to find the nearest house to use for an address. He hung up on me.UPDATE : to whoever responded to this. I get you need a physical address, point is I was gonna get one for him as their was a house 15 feet from me. He never gave me the chance, he hung up instantly before I responded and 2. No I was not arguementive with him, our convo barely lasted 2 mins cause he hung up on me. There was no arguement at all on either end. Dont get me wrong. I love your drivers, all have been very good to me but your call center sucked.

I have been using this company for months and have never had a problem until tonight. I called around 6 for a pickup at 10:40. I get out of work at 10:30 and sit on the corner waiting like I do every night I work. It gets to 10:50 and they still havent come. Im not truly angry about the wait because things happen, I understand that. What makes me angry is that when I got in the car, he asks me how I am and I say Fine considering Ive been sitting here waiting for you for 10 minutes. In reality it was 20 but I am used to the other 10 and expected it, even though they are usually there before or just after I get out. But they were understaffed tonight so, again, things happen. I admit it came out a bit snotty. Which I later apologized for. The driver says Well ten minutes really isnt that long. True enough, it isnt very long. My problem is, how exactly is that an appropriate response to a paying customer? The three times Ive had them get there two past 10:40 I got a slew of apologies when I asked for none. If most people were to say that to a customer at their place of work they would either be written up or fired. I called to make this known. I asked who to talk to with a complaint. He said himself. I told him it was nothing major but something I thought needed to be addressed. He said he couldnt have it taken care of. Without even telling the dispatcher my problem, he goes on about how he had only two drivers that night. I repeatedly try to stop him to say thats not. what my problem is. He continues to say he had to get someone at another location before me. Again, I had no problem with the wait. When he finally let me talk, I said the wait wasnt my problem. He said Mhm, and? I finally just said forget it, just forget it. I have never said a single problem until now. I use this service often but after this I dont know if I will for much longer.
