I had a tenant call and tell me the ac was not working. After speaking with several ac companies who were not able to help in a timely manner, I called Express Air and spoke with James. He arranged for someone to visit the property that afternoon, get the unit up and running, and gave me good advice regarding future replacement of the compressor. I have found my new air and heating company for future issues. Thanks, James.

My furnace blower was running continuously. I knew it wasnt the thermostat as Id tested that already. I called Express and spoke to someone immediately. The same day around lunch time Josh came round to diagnose the problem. He did so quickly and correctly and returned later the same day with the replacement circuit board to fix the problem. Very professional and personable. I will be calling Express back in the Spring for an HVAC tune up. Completely satisfied.

AC went out on a Sunday. Was pleased to find that they work 7 days a week, and they came out the same day and fixed it. A bit expensive, but on the high side of average prices I saw online to replace a blower motor, not price gouging by any means. I would recommend them and will use them in the future.

Honestly poor customer relations and worse service. Literally refused to work on our system because they did not believe they had the permit necessary to work on our system (their words, not mine).Because our furnace may be under warranty, they declined to come out and examine our situation, instead insisting that we contact the manufacturer of the system. Because that is going to get our home warm during the winter faster. Pffft.Please go to literally ANYONE ELSE.

Horrible!!! Don’t return phone calls.. I paid almost $800 to get my AC fixed I was told it had a leak and it was out of Freon. He also told me the $$ would cover the maintenance cost and “membership” in a maintenance plan... so 3 months later no word from company and AC is on fritz again... they send a guy who says I have to pay $90 for him to check the unit... uh, NO I said I already paid for him to friggin come back and fix the dam unit... so he muddled around in the attic says there is a leak.. duh had been told that ... he needs to order a part and will get back to me” .... so that was 4 days ago and no word AND the AC is completely out now my home is almost 90 degrees ... mighty funny it was cool b4 this guy showed up.

On Saturday November 25, 2017 I made a service call to diagnosis my malfunctioned gas furnace heater. The technician arrived spent probably 10 minutes on the attic. He didnt even had a flash light and used his cellphone light to look at the stuffs. He told me furnace gas valve is malfunctioning and quoted $600 to replace the valve. As he didnt had the valve with him he charged me $80 service fee+$16.67 tax for the 10 minutes he spent at my home. He mentioned if he have to come back again that would be additional $96.67 service fee along with material cost for gas valve $600 approximately. I was so suspicious about this tech person. So I called another service technician from different service provider, he told me there was loose wire on the board and he fixed it immediately. He mentioned there is no reason to replace any parts on my unit too.

I chose to do business with this company because of the reviews I had read. This is my first home and I wanted to make sure everything continued to work efficiently. I called the company because my heat and air downstairs in my home did not work. I liked that when I called they came out the same day after I got off work. The man checked the unit and spoke to my husband about ht repairs that needed to be done to get it fixed. He said we need a new part and some wiring replaced and it would be fixed. We had to pay a fee of 89.00 for that visit and the remainder would be 179.00 when were ready to make the repairs. We asked the technician how much notice would be needed for the repairs in regards to the parts. He stated he could have the part for us that day.We contacted them a few weeks later to schedule an appointment. The technician told me husband that he needed to pay another 89.00 fee for them to come out and tell us what was wrong with the unit. My husband explained that they had already done that and we have the paperwork the technician left. They continued by saying that there could be something else. My husband declined and asked them to come out to replace the part and wires. The appointment was then scheduled on Monday at 10:00 am because they had to order the part even though the technician told us previously they could get it the same day.On Monday my husband left work at 9:30 am to meet the technician at our home at 10. He called me a few minutes after ten and asked have I heard from them and I replied no. I contacted the office and the receptionist stated that the technician was on his way and there was miscommunications on who was suppose to come to our home. My husband had to leave and go back to work and about 45 minutes later the technician called me and stated he was at my home. I told him my husband had been waiting and no one called to inform us he would be late until we contacted the office ourselves and he would be there shortly.My husband arrives and this technician is under the impression that he came for an initial to find the cause of the air and heat not working. I contacted the office immediately and asked to speak with the manager. I explained to him the technician was already late and not phone call was given to us and then he arrives without the part to fix the air/heat. The manager in nonchalant manner stated that there was a mix up this morning with technicians in the computer and that they sent the wrong person to my house. He continued by saying the technician who has the part is out working and he does not know when he will arrive with it. Then he said we could reschedule if we wanted to. I informed my husband and we were going to wait for a little bit. A few minutes later I received a phone call from the original technician who came out to our house for the first initial visit and who had the part for the repairs. He said that he explained to my husband that we should pay for another diagnostic of the system because there could be something else wrong with it. I explained to him we were not interested and he had already conducted one and told us what needed to be done. We exchanged a few more words then I asked what he needed to do to fix my unit because at his moment he was not sure himself. He became angry and began to yell and over talking me. I told him I did not think he could fix my unit and he then yelled we do not want your business and I will have my man leave your home. They also did refund me my money.This company lacks professionalism and does not know how to speak to customers, answer questions, and have common courtesy for someone’s time. I found another company to fix my unit and they looked at it that day told me what was wrong fixed it and then came back a few days later to check how my system was working and replaced my thermostat.

Terrible Customer ServiceI had an appointment between the hours of 4 and 6 on a Wednesday to have a new heating and air conditioning system quoted for my house. The appointment was made on Monday. I left work early to make sure I would be at my house before the 4:00 appointment time. I waited until 6:00 and no one from Express Air arrived for the scheduled appointment. I called Express Air and received their voice mail and left three different messages to which none were returned. I checked their website and it states that they have a 24 hour emergency service. No one ever picked up their phones. It was always the same message, (paraphrase) We are either on the phone or helping other customers. Leave a message and we will return your call promptly. No one returned my call.I called first thing Thursday morning at 8:00 to find out why the appointment had been missed and why I hadnt received a call informing me that the appointment would be missed. The man who answered did not know and after I gave him my name and address he said he would get back to me. As of 9:45, he did not get back to me regarding why no one came or called me. I called them back once again and spoke to the woman who made my initial appointment. She said their power was out on Wednesday so they could not get in to the computers or phones to find out where they needed to be for their appointments nor could they find telephone numbers to call the customers. That still doesn’t excuse them from not returning my call Thursday morning when the man did have power and telephones. Terrible customer service. I also found out that the man I spoke to was the area supervisor. That is a great person to have as your supervisor – someone who doesn’t return calls.My main problem with this is that these companies charge very high rates for their service as they are trained in a skill. I do not debate their labor rates for their work. They should be paid for their time. However, I took 2 hours away from my job to meet them with no compensation from them nor any kind of call to tell me they would not make the appointment. And to top it off, I was not called the day after to explain their absence even after I called them. My time is obviously not valuable to them. Will I get paid for the two hours that I took to meet them. No. I would never expect it. I would, however, expect the courtesy of this company to let me know that they were not going to be at my house as expected but I did not receive this. It is this utter disregard for customer service today that absolutely infuriates me. This is why I will give Express Air a 0-Poor rating for their terrible customer service. I can’t speak to their knowledge of heating and air conditioning as they will never get the chance to provide me with that service.

Called Express Air for a problem at a rental unit as I have used them before and all went well then (though in retrospect they did have to come out a 2nd time and charged me more). I had actually called the day before, but never got a return call. I called again on Saturday and talked to James ( he seemed very customer oriented) so decided to go with them (again).Bottom line - I waited for approximately 45 min after they called and said they were on the way. The guy had gone to wrong address. Tech came in and changed out the AC capacitor. He was there for less than 30 min. They charged me $88 for the call and $281 for the part. I checked on line - the part sells for less than $50. I called to express my dissappointment, but had to leave a message (cause their phone system is scrogged) and they apparently dont care - cause never got a call back.

I have called Express Air many times for service and every time that I have called I was give a time that someone would be there to check out your Heating and A/C. I want to say that after checking prices on difference services I found that Express Air had the best rates. I would like to think Express Air for the great service this past winter when the rental house did not have heat and there showed up at 10pm the night I called and fixed the problem and yes I did know that Reidsville to Greensboro and back to Reidsville takes time and a lot of gas back I would have to say that my bill did not show any thing extra not even emergences call like some companies charge afterhours. So I would think everyone should call Express Air.
