I love the Woodhouse Day Spa in Grand Rapids. I have been to several local spas and so far Woodhouse has provided the best experience thus far. I appreciate the respect, attention to detail and professionalism provided by the staff. Currently, I get the Mellow Mama and I like to see Alyssa and she is AMAZING! I walk away from my appointments relaxed and rejuvenated 🙂 I would like to try other services soon such as the facials and/or pedicures.

My experience was amazing! Every detail was thought of to provide maximum comfort and a relaxing environment. The staff was friendly and warm, the spa beautiful and the massage was heavenly. I highly recommend a trip to the Woodhouse if you need self care and pampering!!

Absolutely beautiful place, they offer many services unfortunately I only had the pedicure. The young lady that did my pedicure seemed a little inexperienced and didn’t really have a personality, kinda blahhhhh. I’ve definitely had better pedicures in the past. Other than that it was a great experience.

For 240$ not including tip, I was not impressed at all. This was my second time and the first experience was way better. My boyfriend bought me both packages as a gift. I personally wouldn’t spend the money for two hours of someone rubbing my skin. Thought I was going to get some sort of a message but it was more like layers of different products rubbed into my skin. The staff was nice enough but not extremely personable or overflowing with personality. I was asked if I wanted a drink and I ordered a mimosa which I never received 🤷‍♀️. I felt relaxed at the beginning of the message but then towards the end it almost felt like she was following certain steps that just had to be included before my time was up. I felt rushed out and I will probably never return. Kinda sad because the building and space are very nice.Manager called me promptly and made the situation right! I 100% respect that professionalism. That’s how you keep a business open. Customer satisfaction is everything. Thank you David.

Overall, my experience was okay. I had a seaweed mud wrap with a Vichy shower. The service provider did a good job and I felt relaxed at the end. I rated the overall experience three stars because I felt the support staff left much to be desired in terms of execution for a higher end spa. After I arrived and changed, I sat without a drink or the intake paperwork until my appointment. Other guests had a drink.I was then asked to quickly sign a form as I walked into the mud wrap room. I mention this because I was never asked if there were any areas of particular stress / attention, and it felt like a high volume approach as opposed to curated service. After the service, I was then presented with the paperwork and a glass of water and told that I needed to complete the paperwork before I left.To me, if the goal is to relax me and provide a rejuvenating experience, that means being pampered and not having to fill out paperwork during the time that Im supposed to be most relaxed.

When I walked in I felt welcomed, I received a massage which was great, I felt great and relaxed after it. I also got a pedicure which was amazing. After these service I felt so happy and relaxed I most definitely will be going here again.

Woodhouse is my favorite spa. The massages are top notch, they have fantastic skin care experiences and I love the pedicures. I am going back the end of this week again for my quarterly Woodhouse Hydrafacial and reflexology massage. The big decision is should I have wine or mimosa :)

I have never been more let down. I scheduled 2 services for 2 different people. Ive worked in a salon for years so i knew what i was asking to get done was going to be alot when i scheduled. So i confirmed 4 times and had the person on the phone repeat it back to me twice.....i drove an hour away to be told they only scheduled one service for both of us and that they close an bour later so there is nothing they could do....not a single person out of the 4 employees just standing around tried to fix the problem. I will never go here. I will be letting everyone know not to go there. I am just baffled we were prepared to spend around $600 total between the 2 of us but apparently ur business doesnt care. Thanks for ruining my relaxing day. I hope u guys learn to communicate better this was unacceptable and an extreme let down.

This was the best thing to do after a long work day! I received the Minkyti Facial, and it was the most relaxing 80 minutes. Kayla did a wonderful job! I also want to add that I felt so safe doing this during Covid. They provided a specific mask, so I could still feel safe, and get the facial. The soft robes and glass of champagne made the experience even better. Thank you again!!

Got a couple massage with my man and couldnt have been better! We were sooooo pampered its amazing. While pricy, its one those get what you pay for scenarios so the extra money is worth it, they had oils, mood lighting, and drink for each all Included

I usually don’t write reviews, but I wanted to highlight my positive experience. Usually I’m worried to try new experiences like this as a person of color because I’m unsure of how I’ll be treated. That wasn’t an issue at Woodhouse. I was pleased to see pictures of people who look like me, books from authors of color, and a culturally competent and diverse staff. I was running a little late but the staff were still very friendly to me and my partner and provided excellent and relaxing service. It was very clean and mindful, I felt very safe although we’re in the midst of a pandemic. My favorite was the facial. I hadn’t considered incorporating spa treatments into my regular routine/budget but now I think I will due to the pleasant experience I had. Looking forward to returning.

The Woodhouse GR is always an inviting, warm space. I appreciate the safety protocol of a few plastic dividers in the quiet room; I felt very relaxed and enjoyed a beverage prior to my service. My illuminating facial with Maddie was SPECTACULAR! She has a very kind & calm presence, and my skin has never felt so silky smooth after a series of masks, peel and refreshing hot & cold towels. Such a great way to spend the morning.

I received a gift to go here for my birthday and well the massage was fantastic the pedicure was far from that. The nail tech rubbed a dry scrub on my legs that felt super abrasive and not relaxing as I felt sand paper was being rubbed on my legs... normally a scrub is used on wet legs. She kept digging her acrylic nails into my skin. The stone massage was exceptional but for $60 there is nothing special done. I didn’t even receive hot towels like I have at other salons for half the cost. I then had to walk back to the relax room in my greasy flip flops from the lotion. My toe separator moved causing my big toe to become smudged (not sure why they don’t have dryers in the nail room). I recommend the massages but steer clear of any nail services. I am really disappointed in my pedicure I would’ve rather used the money on a longer massage.

Average pedicure at best. The staff is lovely, as is the building but I think it was a glorified $30-40 pedicure. Nothing different than what I could get at any nail salon. The massage was ok, very little pressure. The most disappointing thing was that afterwards they take you to pay instead of letting your polish dry and just said to not put your shoes on for 15 min. So I left in the thin flip flops they provide and had to walk across the slushy/wet parking lot. Kind of ruins the work they just put in.

Cant wait to go back...got my third visit booked already....

This is a great place. Ive had massages and a pedicure before. Fantastic! My pedicure was awesome. Polish stays on so long! My manicure was not as great. They do a dry manicure which didnt really get my cuticles cleaned out and that was my main reason for getting a mani. The person that did it was amazing but the technique wasnt ideal. Other than that, best in the aread.

WOW. I went here for a massage last week to help relieve some stress and I had an absolutely wonderful experience. I got to experience the height of luxury, complete with a quiet room, complementary beverages, and wonderful service. The masseuse who worked with me, Adrienne, did a fantastic job. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. I enjoyed my experience so much that I just booked an appointment for a duet massage to celebrate my boyfriends birthday.

Everything was just lovely. Relaxing atmosphere as soon as you enter. I enjoyed the Classic Spa Day which includes a facial, massage and pedicure.They really know how to make you feel special!

I came to The Woodhouse Day Spa for my first time today and had an absolutely incredible experience. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the spa director, Lisa, who helped check me in and guided me through the process of getting my *super cozy* robe, showed me the locker rooms, and asked what I wanted to drink. I chose a mimosa which was so refreshing! After sitting in the wonderfully decorated quiet room with a warm neck wrap and my drink, I was greeted by Kylie, my massage therapist. She was above and beyond- asking me if I had any problem areas and how much pressure I would like applied during my therapeutic hot stone massage. The combination of calm music, aromatherapy and the warm oil was truly an indescribable feeling that allowed me to fully clear my mind, and my body has not felt this relaxed ever! If heaven is a place, it is The Woodhouse Day Spa. 100% will be back!!

I have been getting facials by Amy V for a couple months now and ever since, I get so many compliments on my skin! I just recently started my series of Hydrafacials and I am already being told that my skin looks so flawless. She really knows what she is doing and I am so thankful I found this spa. Their staff is so nice and knowledgeable, the facility is GORGEOUS, and they use great products. It is definitely worth the money! Make an investment in yourself and visit this place. You will not be disappointed!

Wow! What a beautiful location! I can’t think of another Day Spa in Grand Rapids that is even close. I was greeted by front desk staff when I entered the spa and was given a tour before heading to the dressing room to get changed into a cozy robe. I was so relaxed sitting in my robe in their quiet room waiting for my massage....it was so peaceful. My massage was amazing! I will definitely be going back and can’t wait to try some of their other treatments ~ I’ve started my list :)

This was my first time to The Woodhouse (my mother-in-law had a gift card and invited me to come along). The space is beautifully decorated and crystal clean. The service from the moment I walked in the door until I left was great - the robes, the tea, the friendliness of staff, etc. A really great way to unwind. I got the hydro facial and my therapist was extremely knowledgeable as she walked me through each step. The Woodhouse is a bit expensive compared to other places Ive been but you definitely get what you pay for - a luxury service and experience that will not disappoint. I would highly recommend it and I will definitely be back next time Im in town!

Finally...GR has a REAL spa! The super sweet husband/wife team built a beautiful tranquil getaway. From the moment I stepped into the spa, my senses told me I was in a place where I will be pampered. The beautiful decor, smell of lavender, and the ethereal music transport you from normal life to the world of Ahhhhhhhh. The luxuriously soft robe, warmed lavender neck pillow, and herbal tea made for such a cozy start in the quiet room before my treatment. My massage was wonderful. Worked some kinks out and was such a treat. The facility was immaculate. The staff was very professional and attentive. I look forward to the many visits I plan to enjoy!!

I have been a fan of Woodhouse for 15 years! Beautiful new facility. Staff very professional. Massage was wonderful! Key code locks are great. Lavender neck pillow preset with name plate was a nice touch! A couple of suggestions. 1) have the information sheet filled out before ladies head to the quiet room or provide cheap readers there. Once the eyesight goes, it is difficult seeing the form, especially in the tranquil lighting, but staff was very helpful! (🙂) 2) provide product (lotions, spa wrap towels, etc. ) in the dressing room so they can be sampled, which encourages a sale and is always nice to use when freshening up after a shower. So glad to have a Woodhouse in GR.

Unfortunately, my experience with the nail services have not been good. I had shellac removed, and then new shellac put on. During the service, the experience took a very long time. The technician also sanded down my skin multiple times, rather than simply focusing on the nail. It was very painful and took a while to heal. Now, the shellac has been removed, but my fingers and my nails are experiencing a lot of pain. They are very sensitive to touch and I cannot put much pressure on them, which is inhibiting every-day activities. More than that, I have a bunch of razor thin lines at the end of my finger nails that are red, which seems to me that they are filled with blood. This sensitivity has lasted for about 3 weeks.I tried to share this experience with the company, and they were not communicative with me about how they might fix the dis-service I experienced.Because of this experience, I will not be coming back to your nail services and I will not be able to refer friends.

This was my first of many services at the spa. Everyone was so welcoming and made a relaxing environment. The massage therapist took the time to ask what type of pressure and what needed worked on the most. Will definitely come back!

Woodhouse Day Spa will be my new spot for any spa related appointments. The women who greet you at the front were super nice, the robes/sandals/locker room/changing area were clean and beautiful. They took me right on time and even had a warm neck pillow and a choice of like 6 different drinks before your massage. I did the mellow mamma 50 minute massage and Janie was so great- made sure I was comfortable and did an amazing massage- never wanted it to end! Absolutely recommend going here! :)

I treated myself to 5 hours at this beautiful spa today and it was absolutely incredible. From the lovely reception staff that greets you when you walk in, to the beautiful facilities and amenities, to the luxurious treatments, everything was perfect. While all of the treatments were wonderful, I can’t recommend the Minkyti facial enough (especially with Amy)! Thank you for a very nice “treat yourself” day Woodhouse!

I cannot say enough about my experience at Woodhouse! After my first massage there I knew I needed to take my mother for a special spa day to celebrate her retirement. When we arrived we went to our separate services and I notified my massage therapist that I had just found out I was pregnant and my mother was unaware. The massage therapist sadly told me that due to their policy, I could not have a massage until 14 weeks, however she went and got her manager who promptly came in, congratulated me, and went out of her way to ensure that my secret was kept and that my spa day experience was not ruined. They set me up with an essential oil soak instead of the massage and snuck me a gift card to return for a prenatal massage. When I went for my facial the esthetician was also already aware and ensured me that everything was baby safe. The whole day went off without a hitch and my mother was none the wiser!!!The staff at Woodhouse has consistently met and exceeded my expectations! I cannot wait for my prenatal massage!!

I have had numerous massages at different locations around Grand Rapids, this experience being far different. It did not leaving me feeling as if it could have been better “if”. From the moment you walk into the Woodhouse Day Spa you feel welcome and comfortable. The team is working together to make sure your experience is flawless. The robes, the sandals, the lighting and music- even the scent in the air relaxes you and your days worries disappear! I wish I could give half stars, because I would rate this a 4 1/2 star; so close to being perfect! I had encounters with the lovely Amy and Genie for my services: illuminating facial and Swedish massage. Both of these women were very sweet and good at what they do. The right amount of conversation took place at the beginning and end of services, which was appreciated, as I like to relax at a spa. David and Michelle (the owners) were quite wonderful and clearly love what they do! The locker room was extremely clean and well laid out. The only thing I wished for was a sauna or steam room to enjoy! Michelle offered refreshments right away, in which I enjoyed a Mimosa! The waiting area was relaxing and warm, and topped off with a lavender neck wrap while I waited and completed paperwork.For the illuminating facial, there is no steam used to open pores, etc. I’ve never had that type of facial done before and probably wouldn’t get it again (but perfect for others, I’m sure). I missed the steam :)This spa was a bit on the pricy side out of all the spas that I’ve ever been to in the GR area. Ambience was top notch, though!Favorites: waiting area, mimosa, friendly staff, cleanliness, digital and fully functioning lockers, incredible robes (if a little on the static-e side), sized sandals for comfortWish list: sauna or steam room, wasn’t asked about pressure during massage, didn’t feel like my paperwork was read fully (no one asked about trouble areas or addressed it at all).Overall: 4 1/2 stars. I would definitely return here, but there are other places that can compete as well.

I had a minkyti facial with Amy and it was amazing! My skin is so soft. I felt super relaxed afterwards. I was slightly congested before going in and that’s gone now. So good. There was a nice comfortable place for me to wait. The changing room was very clean. I was greeted with smiles by every staff member. Amazing experience!

The reception area has a lot of colorful stuffed animals that just seem really out of place for an adult spa. Once I walked back to the locker rooms and spa waiting area it was very professional and relaxing. Everything looked clean and well equipt. The massage was good. Not the best ive had, but a good first experience. The one thing I did not like at all is their check out procedure. They do not have automated or paper tip options so the person running my card was asking me out loud how much I wanted to leave as a tip. Without having the charge amount right in front of me I didnt even know how much i owed. Kind of unprofessional and clunky process.

My experience here was nothing short of extraordinary. The environment was so calming and classy. The staff was very professional, friendly, and very on their game. I got the spa classics package and wasnt at all disappointed. I felt so relaxed and welcomed in the spa. 10/10. I will absolutely be back!!

I went with the Lazy Day experience and it was perfection. It started with getting my own locker and changing into the coziest robe and shoes. Onto the quiet room, where tea was waiting by my name along with a lavender neck pillow.DeAndre was so sweet, the scrub, the seaweed soak, the massage — not to the mention all the tiny details made this entire experience special.Highly recommend using the waterfall shower in the locker room, it was the perfect end to an amazing morning.Such a great experience and addition to the neighborhood, I’ll be back!

What a great addition to Grand Rapids! friendly and professional staff, clean and relaxing spaces. the spa has private relaxation rooms that are nice when going with a group. definitely recommend checking out Woodhouse Day Spa! went with a group of girlfriends for a friends birthday. we each chose the service(s) that suited us and were able to reconvene in the room to chat in between.

This was the BEST spa experience I had to date. The attention to each detail was impeccable, the staff were calm and helpful, and the environment was truly set up to be therapeutic. Upon leaving, I also received a gift from the front desk staff. I got home to discover a swaddle and outfit for my new baby - what an unexpected, personal touch. I will certainly return!

The facility was beautiful and very classy - the front of the house was warm and friendly. But my husband and I had double massages and neither of us felt that our massage therapists were very experienced, they didnt focus on the areas that we had mentioned were of concern to us. I had ordered hot stones for my husband and they were never used. And I feel like the 90 minute massages were more like 70 minutes. For $260 I was dissapointed.

The staff puts so much effort into every detail to make you comfortable and to personalize the experience for YOU. I had an Illuminating facial and it was incredible. I will definitely return!

We went here for my birthday. We were told over the phone that we would be put in robes for our spa manicures that cost an arm and a leg, but were not. And for as much as we paid, its ridiculous that the polish chipped the very next day...

Some things are amazing! The setting and atmosphere are lovely. The pedicure was great but not special enough to warrant the price. Ive never had a manicure while in a pedicure chair. This felt odd. There was a fair bit of noise in the hallway during my visit from other staff.

I came in and got a deep tissue massage and agave nectar pedicure and both services were wonderful. It’s such a relaxing environment. They provided me a mimosa and warm lavender neck wrap and that was awesome!

I had a wonderful experience at The wood house day spa! I had a massage it was very relaxing and better than any other massages that I’ve had in the past at other spas! The hostess was very nice to show me around the spa and was very nice! The whole staff that I meet seemed to be very happy and excited to be at work! They treated me like family not a client! The spa itself was very classy and elegant! I can’t wait to go back! I would recommend this spa for any type of treatment! You will not be sorry that you came here!Randall

It’s so wonderful to have a great spa in the area that is worth your time and money. I’ve had massages at other Woodhouse Spas in Michigan and with Woodhouse, they are always hands down the best. One isn’t just splurging for some pampering here but truly experiencing improved health! I always leave rejuvenated and when I’ve had neck pain, I leave without it. I appreciated that at this Grand Rapids location, I was once offered a small discount due to a Facebook promotion, even though I wasn’t aware that the promotion was occurring. That is rare in business! I look forward to further visits and checking out additional services.
