I am a Hertz Gold member and I was staying at the Westin on vacation. I booked reservations in advance for car rentals at the Westin for two separate weekend days (Sat 12/7 and Sun 12/8). My experience was similar to the other reviewers. On Saturday I showed up at the Hertz desk in the hotel lobby at the appointed time and there was no one there. I checked with the valet and there was no Hertz car for me. I called the number on the Hertz desk and I was told the car was being brought to the hotel and they would be there in 5 minutes. The guy showed up with the car a half hour later. And the car was not the class I ordered - it was a big minivan which I did not really want to drive. And he said he needed to take the minivan to the garage to clean it. He came back after 15 minutes and I finally had my rental - after waiting 45 minutes. My experience on Sunday was somewhat better in that there was someone at the desk and I only had to wait about 10 or 15 minutes for the car. I understand this may be a low volume location, but they need a better system to provide an acceptable user experience.

Whatever you do, do NOT book from this “HLE” location!!I recently booked and pre-paid for a convertible rental for a day to drive down to south beach. “J12903719C” - confirmation number.I went by the day prior to confirm that my rental was good to go. On the day of, I show up and they tell me they don’t have the rental. The guy tried to force me into a rental I didn’t want, and I instead demanded a full refund.Unfortunately, they said it takes 7-10 days to process the refund?!?!?! What type of terrible business practice is this??Instead, I was able to walk across the street to the Avis dealership at the W and get a nicer convertible for the same price!I will never rent Hertz again, and keep in mind, I am a Hertz Gold member.Thanks for almost ruining my trip @ Hertz!

Brother in law rented a car here. When we went to pick it up the rep wasnt here. Called and he said hed be here in a few minutes. Called again and he wouldnt answer. Finally got him to answer after 30 minutes (used a different phone) and he told us he was busy with other customers. Been about 45 minutes. I would t recommend you use these guys!
