The staff was very helpful in all aspects of renting a new apartment. The amenities were a huge improvement compared to our previous apartment not to mention much much bigger. The neighbors were very nice, making us feel that much more at home Overall it was a very successful experience. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
Ive lived here a couple months and I love it! Super nice and helpful staff and the place itself is great. The locations is amazing as well!
Maintenance man Brad is the best. seriously send a request in and got it fixed right away. installed new ac from my broken one. so important to keep my animals cool in this great. thanks to a great maintenance team and their care for their renters
Roach infested, horrible management. The only thing good about this place is maintenance, but they still cant fix all of the problems here. If you want all of your belongings to be covered in roach spray by an uncaring staff, this is the place for you. When we moved in I thought the walls were actually covered in pee it was so dirty. Nothing was cleaned. There were holes in the walls even! The management is awful and dont care about you one bit. Juliette will try her hardest to avoid answering your emails. Please save yourself the stress, there are plenty of other affordable places nearby
Really cool community to live in. Dog park is just what I needed in life right now. Really nice staff members in the office and awesome Matience team, my AC wasn’t working very good and the next day Matience had me a new one installed.. feels awesome inside now. Thank you for everything!
Dishwasher went down after office hours. They were here first thing and Jason got us all set up perfectly. My dishwasher is good as new.Professional, friendly, cleaned up the (necessary) mess that was made from the standing water.
I am happy with my neighbors. The new maintenance guy is awesome. If you need something fixed he is on top of it and doesnt waste time. Office manager is the sweetest. This is far the best place to live
Ed really cool dude let us stay at the pool and enjoy our summer
Ed is a very nice guy who let us enjoy our summer
I have lived here for two years. I have noticed a significant change in the property in this past year. I am planning on renewing my lease.
The office is supposed to open at 12:00 p.m. and it is rarely open then. I have been waiting at the office since 12:05 to put money on my laundry card. It is now 12:50 and the office is still not open, nobody answering the phones and nobody in the office. If youre not going to be open when youre supposed to be open could you please put the laundry card refill machine somewhere that is available to residents when the office is not open? This is an ongoing problem for the residents that reside here. Theyre either an hour + late opening or an hour + early closing. I dont understand when the employees live at these apartments. I have laundry in the washer that I wont be able to dry until I refill my laundry card. I have called corporate many times about this and still nothing is being done. I would have been fired from my job for being this late to work weekly. The maintenance guys are the only ones ever on time to work.
Juliette is the worst apartment manager Ive ever known. Unresponsive to the point that we have to reach out to upper management. Super bad attitude about everything, never gets anything done. She wont reply to phone calls or emails about paying rent, and but will send an eviction notice after we ask anything. Its illegal to evict right now because of covid, yet instead of replying about a payment plan she sends a false eviction notice. Thanks to her alone this is by far the worst renting experience Ive had.
Just visited a relative at this property, looks like a great place to live, great amenitiesPool, gym, dog park and more
Horrible Company. Horrible Management. They have switched property managers and office employees several times. None of them actually know how or what they are supposed to do. The corporate office is a joke and wont even respond. The property is a dump and they have continued to collect money from me even after I have moved out! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!
My apartment is beautiful. Laminated floors. Bedroom carpet great. Been here since October 5, 2020. Everything has been going great until my dishwasher broke February 1, 2020. Submitted work order February 8, 2020. Still havent repaired my dishwasher. Very frustrated.
October 2019 I moved in, i was sad that whoever was in the unit before me damage some of the blinds and looked like the wall was kicked in, there were scratches on the floor. Other than those issues I enjoyed my time here Im sad to be leaving here i really loved living here. The neighbor above us has left her window opened during a night where it had reachedfreezing temperatures water leaked into our bedroom carpet was soaked maintenance immediately came n took care of us. The staff is friendly I would recommend living here. You wont be disappointed.
Thanks to Ladonna for her professionalism, courtesy and willingness to work with me in my situation. She is very knowledgeable and because of her, I referred my friends!!
I have noticed a significant change in the property for the better since Juliet took over the office and Brad took over maintenance. Both really care about their residents, their safety, and their property.
Awesome service! Love living here 😊
The staff is really fantastic and helpful. Maintenance is efficient and well organized. The gym is small but it has all thats needed. There arent many issues with noise late at night and overall we feel very safe. Its definitely not a ritzy place but its simple, well-priced, and has quality management. Definitely worth the rates.
Okay, I too love the office staff, Cara & Juliet. But what I really want to do is share my appreciation for the EXCELLENT efforts of Stan and Cody... the maintenance guys who bust their butts every day to keep this place the awesomely easy place to live that it is. I dont know HOW the heck they get by with only TWO, but I guess the answer is because the two are Stan and Cody.
Though previous reviews had their personal opinions about this place, you can tell the new management team is actually working on improving this place daily. The office is warm and welcoming and are willing to take on the task of making things better. Happy to say Ive seen a change within the last few months and plan on renewing with this office staff.
Lived here a few years and this place is just going down hill. They get new management every six months. The new management seems not to care about anything. If anything goes wrong in your apartment they take over three weeks to have maintenance come and fix it. Our air conditioner was not working and the maintenance man just came and tapped it to the wall. Now its leaking and falling apart. We also had mold on the top of our bathroom ceiling. They just came and painted over it with a totally different color of paint. Now half of my bathroom is a different color. The grounds around the complex are always very dirty with trash and cigarette butts everywhere. The trashes are always literally overflowing with trash. They do not enforce picking up dog waste. So theres dog feces everywhere you go. Theres a dog park although it always has feces throughout the whole park. The laundry rooms and halls never get cleaned. The swimming pool opened two months late and now its closed down every other day. The water is always cold when trying to take showers. The worst part of all is a few of my neighbors had gotten bed bugs. Everyone pays a pest control fee every month and they have a company come out and spray all the apartments that could have bed bugs, roaches etc. Please be cautious of this place. Cant wait until my lease is up in 5 months.
Of all the apartment communities I’ve lived in the last 23 years of my life thus far, Advenir at Bear Valley in Lakewood, Colorado has been the best! Their Leasing office staff from the manager on down are courteous and professional to the letter! Promises made to resolve repairs are kept and most importantly promptly! I love living here!
Easy going apartments to live in. Friendly/Helpful staff. AMAZING maintenance team.
They started the year with new Management. I dont know for sure, how it was before, but I can say since moving into my apartment in March of this year, that they have done a phenomenal job, trying to clean and upgrade. As with everything in life, this takes time and people just have to practice some patience. Contrary to my predecessors opinion, the lawns are watered every morning BEFORE sunrise. Also, the parking lot was restriped (dont know if they did last year), but it went swiftly within 2-3 days for the entire complex. Now the buildings are repainted and more improvements are planned. Since I moved in, the office staff has been helpful and super friendly and the maintenance guys are FANTASTIC! They go out of their way. At least for me...from day ONE!
The worst apartment complex. Recently there has been new management and they are terrible. They are focusing their efforts on unnecessary work when they should be working to make the place better. They shut off the water in the same building three times in two months without notice. They set a date for painting the same building but didnt finish the painting until three days after they had originally said. They closed off parking for painting and re-striping, even though that had been done 6 months prior. I made a work order and they didnt respond until one week after. The laundry facilities are always dirty and have water all over the floors. The grass on the property is yellow and dying because they do not water it. Terrible place to live at.
My husband and I just moved in a few months ago and we Love our apt. I love the location and most of all I adore the office staff. So wonderful and understanding...... Love it 💜
Lived here for about 1 year and I totally would NOT recommend that ANYONE considers moving here. Here are a few reasons why.. The place is very dirty and rundown. Previous owners kept it very neat but not anymore, there is trash everywhere. There is never any available parking! despite cars being stolen!! (see other reviews) Last but not least the leasing office is ALWAYS finding something to give you fees for. My rent/ utilities had been increased by 100$ by the time I moved out. Look everywhere else first before you make the same mistake I did!!!
I truly wish I could give less than one star on this review.Let me start by saying when my roommate and I moved into this apartment we were both 18 and had never rented before. After this experience I can guarantee neither of us will ever rent again.Advenir at Bear Valley has the lowest possible respect for their residents and just people in general. We were supposed to move in on September 8th, 2017 and when we got our keys that morning and went to the apartment it was completely trashed. It was not cleaned from the construction or previous tenants, there were cabinet doors being spray painted on the porch, a toilet disassembled in the master bathroom, and multiple scratches on the brand new flooring from moving around the ancient stove. We were also promised brand new appliances when we signed our lease, upon moving in we found out that we had appliances from the 90s and they would not be getting replaced. They did subtract a small amount from our monthly rent to compensate for that, but we would not have signed for an outdated apartment had we known ahead of time. Our first rent payment was returned because they processed my roomates check under my name, then tried to charge us $200 in late fees. It took a week to resolve that issue. These are only the beginning of our horrible experience with them.We lived there for 2 years and had several maintenance guys enter our apartment without giving sufficient notice. It also took at least a week for them to fix any issue. We had to submit a work order 3 times to get our bathroom sink fixed because it had a heavy leak. The last time the maintenance guy came out and actually fixed it, he entered our apartment without any notice and my roommate was in the shower unaware that he was working on our bathroom sink. We also had a severe pigeon issue on our balcony that they never resolved which made it unusable. We bought our own pigeon spikes but those didnt work.Over those 2 years the pool was shut down multiple times for weeks on end due to maintenance, they were constantly shutting off our water, and we had several power outages. All of these issues led to us deciding not to renew our lease this past August. They sent us a lease renewal form that we never signed and thought that would be the end of it. We planned to move out September 3rd, 2019 at the end of our lease. Our account was billed $2300 for Septembers rent. We went to talk to the leasing office and discovered we had to give 60 days notice to move out (granted this was completely our fault for not reading that in the lease or renewal- we were 1st time renters and it was an oversight on our part). However, being two college students, paying $2300 for the next two months was not feasible so we asked them to make an exception and let us out of our lease after 30 days, which they agreed to, gave us a final months rent bill and signed it. This was a week long process of going back and forth between various employees and my roommate and I. We had our new move out date as September 23rd, 2019 and were completely moved, cleaned the apartments, rented a carpet cleaner and cleaned the carpets, and made sure everything was good to go. Yesterday we were billed $1600 for move out fees and insufficient notice. My roommate went in to talk to them and they will not budge on this charge even though they agreed to let us out at 30 days notice. If you have taken the time to read this entire review, PLEASE PLEASE reconsider your decision to rent at Advenir at Bear Valley. They are negligent, careless, and do not care about their renters at all. We have had so many miscommunications and just complete disregard on their behalf. There are many apartment complexes in this area, please consider one of those instead. I know each complex and business has their own flaws but I can promise none of them will be as bad as Advenir at Bear Valley.
The unit itself is nice and worth the price. Maintenance orders are completed quickly. One problem is people not walking their dogs on a leash and not picking up after their pets. Grounds are covered in pet waste. These rules should be enforced by management and maintanance workers since they are often driving around the property. I have seen dogs off leash around them and nothing is ever said. Not only is it dangerous to have pets off leash in a parking lot (which happens a lot), but not picking up poop is disgusting and dangerous for their health. That is how disease spreads.
Amazing staff friendly people took care of me right away
The office staff and new maintenance guys are fantastic!!!
Ive lived here for about 1.5 years now and I really dont understand what all of the negative reviews are about. Yes, when the new management purchased the property they made some upgrades and did some necessary maintenance and repairs. Im not going to say that it wasnt inconvenient and that everything was completed in the expected timeline, but its a small price to pay and the repairs have been completed. The grounds are watered daily and every morning when I leave for work I run into property maintenance workers cleaning the grounds. I havent had any issues with bed bugs or any other pests. Yes, there is a problem with dog waste and cigarette butts, but Im not certain what residents expect management to do to curb the problem. There are dog waste stations (poop bags provided) in the green areas. Ive only submitted a couple of maintenance requests and they have been resolved in a timely manner. Also, the office staff have always been friendly and helpful. No, this isnt the Ritz Carlton, but its a nice affordable place to live in a good neighborhood.
I really like this apartments theyre clean, spacious and well divided. Management is nice and helpful.
I have had my worst renting experience at this location. Despite the apartments theoretically being smoke free, my next door neighbor is perpetually smoking inside his unit and the smell permeates the walls into my apartment. The smell is nauseating and frequently triggers my asthma. It is not difficult to determine from where the smell originates, as the moment you walk into the common hallway, the smell blasts your senses. I also had a maintenance issue where my bathroom ceiling started flooding from the unit above and despite the managements quick response initially, the bucket they placed underneath the leak hardly caught a thing as water was falling from multiple locations within a large area of ceiling, and after i had returned from a weekend trip, I discovered that no work was done, and it flooded through the drywall into my bedroom where my floor, shoes, bed, and various other personal belongings were soaked and an extremely musty and moldy smell filled the room and could not stay in the apartment for almost a week, and had to stay elsewhere. Although I have had no issues with pests my experience has been anything but pleasant and would not recommend that anyone move in to this, or any advenir locations, and look forward to my lease ending.
Stanley Williams is a great guy!!! Give him a raise
Living here started off great. We were moving from out of state and the original management team made sure it was a seamless move for us. Then it went downhill, we moved in the summer, and the pool was closed for the first year we lived there. Not only was it closed but the costs to get it back up and running including draining and refilling of the pool twice fell on the tenants. Fast forward a few months, we had a water loss in our apartment, I made it clear that I expected the proper measures be taken as I work in the restoration field and know how to handle said losses. Their maintenance man came in cut drywall out (building built in 1977 should have been tested for asbestos) which is wasnt. Didnt use a moisture meter or anything, propped a box fan on our toilet and bath tub and blew the dust all over our apartment. Then told my Fiance that restoration companies tend to over do it. That was a quote from the head maintenance man from the area. Then they towed my vehicle saying it was in a handicap spot which it wasnt. They also tried to charge a late fee on my rent when, their system was not working properly. Finally deciding to cut our losses we moved out. My Fiance and I are extremely busy usually spending some time each month out of state. We got a notice that we had missed some certified mail. By the time we got the notice they had sent it back to Advenirs office. My Fiance called to see what the mail was about and never got a call back. Then we received a collections notice. I called 3 times in a week, never got through to anyone, leaving voicemails every time. Once I finally got someone on the phone, they started off by letting me know that they had accidentally charged me too much and they would work on it. I asked for a time frame and then had to go through leaving voicemails with no response. Finally getting them back on the phone they just quoted the bare minimum laws that they have to follow when sending final notices. I asked them why there was no follow up once the mail got returned to them and why they never returned our phone calls. They stated the minimum we have to do is send the invoice this management team consistently does the bare minimum. The office staff here also couldnt really answer any questions or concerns I ever had they had to continually find that out. This place is a joke, and should be out of business. I will also be filing a complaint with the state about the drywall/possible asbestos issue.
I was waiting in the leasing office to see an apartment. There was a man showing the leasing agent a video of water pouring from his bathroom ceiling. He was asking for it be fixed, she told him that almost every unit has some kind of leak if they fixed them all they would be out of business. I was shooked, i dont know if that is in fact the case or if she was new. Either way i walked right out thankful for the timing to know off the bat what this property is about. Renter be warned.
Wish I could rate staff separate from cosmetics! Leasing staff Matthew L. was so helpful today for my move in! I lost it over the remodel and how poorly it was done but the staff was more than willing and happy to accommodate me! I wasnt turned away, and was even offered my money back if I wasnt going to lease here. I appreciate the help from the staff today so much! Looking forward to leasing with them. Thanks advenir!
Poorly maintained apartment complex. Unreasonable, unfriendly management team. Don’t rent here!
A nice place to live basically. Every apartment complex has its own issues but overall, this place isnt too bad.
Great neighborhood and beautiful landscapes makes this place home!
Needs security here, constantly harassed and threatened by unruly residents. Mistake moving here.
I lived here under previous management and it was the worst apartment Ive ever had. There was the disgusting neighbor who caused a roach infestation. Another neighbor got drunk and fired his .45 through his wall, across the hall and through my wall nearly hitting me. Another neighbor vandalized my front door after I turned him in for animal abuse. Finally, my truck was stolen from the lighted carport directly outside my apartment. All of this happened in under a year.
If I can get less then a star I would! No hot water! They have leaks inside the walls! Your car can be parked in there parking lot for years and they still put stickers on my car! This place all round is horrible!
Nice place to live but wish the pool was open this summer
Good place to live, close to a park and friendly neighbors.
I only Have 5 months in this apartments & I can’t wait for my lease to be over !!! One week after my move in cockroaches came out & ever since They haven’t be gone ! I think I pay good money for me to have cockroaches I have two kids this ain’t safe for my kids it’s so sad the laundry site is dirty but one thing I do like a lot is the staff
The apartment is bad. The cars stolen constantly over there. For 6 month living there two of my cars get stolen, plus I heard another 6 accidents.
Not the best place, but pretty affordable.
Does not even deserve a star dont rent from here
