Currently a resident. Did not like that after my first year my rent went up 80$. Felt basically like a bait and switch. Will edit review after second year. Hope it doesn’t go up that much every year. Still enjoy the residence. Nice area. Brick wood burning fireplace. Still a decent price. Friendly staff

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! Maintenance is awesome and always on top of things. The office staff are so kind and welcoming! They really go above and beyond for me and my family and make me feel like I am not just another tenant. They always remember me by name which is a great feeling.I have always felt welcomed living here and everything done in a reasonable manner. For apartment living, the staff does a wonderful job.Again, absolutely wonderful place to live. Highly recommend:)

Dookie water filled out medicine cabinet, leaked down around and under sink. Maintenance showed up, said they could not do anything till morning, and said we had to clean it up. They did not show up till 10 am. Went to office to ask what they are going to do about out personal things being soaked in dookie water, their response thats your problem file an insurance claim. This place is an absolute dump, trash everywhere, everything falling apart. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

I have gotten along with neighbors in this community. Unfortunately, this company does not comply with Colorado Law Obligation of the Landlord to Maintain Habitable Premises C.R.S. 38-12-501 thru 511A neighbor enduring a leaking roof as a top floor resident and has not, after many efforts, received a repair. Maintenance came and fixed my sliding door as requested. In general its a pretty decent place to live, I am only moving out because I need more space. Some drawbacks are the thin walls as well as the constant trash that can be seen drifting around the parking lot. Price is fair and the fire place is cool. Looking for an affordable place to live in a good location this is a solid choice. Its not going to knock your socks off with fancy amenities its a place you can live. Seems like a safe community as well never had any issues.

Been here for a year now had my car broken into the first 2 weeks I moved in, no security cams on site so nothing was done about it. Unable to get a garage since I moved in but maintenance is using 2 garages closest to my building for storage. Noone drives their cars so parking is fun. Several cars with Crackle Tunes and loud exhausts. Neighbors have dogs that bark at everything, ie if the wind blows. And my patio is constantly covered in ashes and grease from the upstairs Neighbors cigarettes and grill. (Pretty sure we arent even allowed to have grills) Amazon Hub is a plus, no problems with mail or packages going missing. High turnover rate in leasing office, every few months new staff.

I have lived here for 8 years and have been very happy here. Management and maintenance has been outstanding. Joe and David have been extremely helpful with any maintenance that I have needed. Quick and very professional and have even checked back with me to be sure everything was ok. Martha even helped me bring in my groceries as I had a lot to bring in. Being handicapped it is difficult to carry in large amounts of groceries. I didnt even have to ask for help. Last winter, the gentleman cleaning the walks even assisted me to my car as it was early and they were cleaning the walks. Thank you for your consideration in helping those of us in need.

Ive actually lived at this complex before from 2018-2019, my husband and I had a top floor 2BR2Bath in building 11. My previous review from my other Google account is still on here, but the gist of it was - all of the natural light in the apartment was great, the apartment was SO spacious, the grounds are nice, the location is excellent (near a Walmart and the library, and more) and even with a garage the rent is reasonable comparatively. Our only real complaint then was that a new set of people moved in below us and would blast music so loudly the subwoofer would shake our apartment so much we couldnt even hear the TV. Obviously living in apartments means you have to tolerate a certain level of noise (they do at least have quiet hours at night and a patrol you can call) but this was unreasonable and myself, my husband, and other neighbors repeatedly asked them to keep it down. But they didnt and the management wouldnt do anything about it.I just signed another lease for a top floor 1BR1Bath and moved here from out of state. The whole process was very easy and everyone was nice. When I arrived to pick up my keys the office staff seemed much more professional and it seems the office is being run by a different lady who projects a more-on-top-of-it vibe, so Im hoping that will help if issues with neighbors ever arrive.Ive only been here a day, but so far so good. I can hear my neighbors off and on, but its nothing too bad, just usual stuff. We can hear the neighbors who share our bedroom wall talking in the evening, but I think thats because they talk loudly. In the last apartment we never heard our neighbors talking (except the subwoofer people, but again, its because they were shouting at each other). If you get building 8, 9, or 11 with a West facing apartment youll overlook the low income apartments next door. They repainted the buildings, which helps a little, but its still not the best view and the tenants there like to hangout in the parking lot and can get loud, but its also not so bad that it ruins everything.Basically all of the other buildings in the complex have a nice view though! Also, when we were here last the maintenance was really good, especially Joe. I hope hes still here!I saw a review mentioning cockroaches, and we did get a few in the old apartment when the subwoofer people moved in, but before that we never had any. I keep the apartment really clean so I dont expect it to be a problem. The apartment I just moved in to was impressively clean, even all the cabinets under the kitchen and bathroom sink and the carpet looks really nice and was vacuumed. First time Ive ever moved in somewhere and didnt need to do cleaning of my own.So 5 stars for being problem free so far, offering reasonable rent, and making the move in process easy!

Lived here about 2.5 years. Had a lot of maintenance issues, some which I ended up having to resolve on my own, others that took literally a year to resolve. Overall the place isnt bad, but after submitting my notice to move out and paying prorated rent for my final month, I was served with a 30 day notice to pay or quit. The notice was posted to my door without even knocking and signed by the Assistant Property Manager, who I had literally just confirmed my prorated rental amount with a couple of days prior. Its pretty cheap for the area, but you can do better.UPDATE: There sure is some confusion on your move-out policies...and the confusion exists within your own leasing office. I have no questions, but perhaps your staff may. I would recommend starting there.

Been living here for 2 years, almost three. The location is perfect, near many shopping centers and grocery options. Parking can be iffy sometimes, and some folks dont like to clean up their dogs poop. The buildings themselves are a bit old, so some utilities arent up to speed. Most likely will consider living here through a third year.

The tech also thanked me for paying my rent (first time I have ever heard this in my life) and said it insured he could pay his. I have lived in this apartment complex for almost a year now, but that has been long enough to notice that the management here changes often. On a Sunday in January 2020 at 3 AM, our apartment flooded due to old piping in the wall between our apartment and our neighbors. Luckily, we were awake to notice this because we work the night shift and were home that night. We woke up our neighbor to let her know that both our apartments are flooding, and she was very upset and told us that this had happened the previous winter as well.We spoke to the supervisor, Daniel, about this and he informed us that the previous supervisor had not done a complete fix on the piping problem from the previous years flood. We requested compensation for our ruined items, huge inconvenience (people had to come into our apartment for weeks from then on to fix the pipes, rip up and dry the carpet, run giant and loud fans and dehumidifiers in our apartment for over a week straight, replace the drywall on two separate walls in our kitchen, etc.) and lost sleep having to have people in our home most days during hours when wed be sleeping before work. This was, afterall, due to the neglect of the previous supervisor. They only agreed to pay for the difference on our electric bill for that month for running the giant fans and dehumidifiers. Also, this was to be calculated based on the average of our previous months of electricity bills, which we did not have many of at that time yet. It ended up to be just a few dollars. The entire month was almost unlivable, having to deal with our furniture being in the corner so that our carpets could properly dry, repairs, and cleaning up after every step along the way.Since then, our other neighbors apartment across from us had also flooded due to flooding from the apartment above them. I am still worried about our apartment flooding AGAIN this winter and having to deal with the new management, blaming the previous management for this. And the cycle goes on. If you are willing to risk having very old piping in your apartment building, just be sure to move in with renters insurance because chances are, you will have to use it.The management in general is difficult to get a hold of when you really need them, and when you go inside to talk to them in person they always manage to be unhelpful while also really making your blood boil at how unprofessional they are, and how little they care. Also, since the coronavirus, they have implemented a $2.95 eCheck fee, which did not exist before. It is suspicious and scummy timing because now that they prefer people paying online and not entering the office, they are charging us extra to do so.Also, unrelated but on our move-in day, our apartment was not ready. There were still two people in our apartment cleaning it while we were trying to move in. With the two movers we hired, the cleaners and us, there was a total of 6 people in our one-bedroom apartment trying to work around each other when our apartment should have been cleaned and empty on the day of our move-in.Lastly, the walls are thin. We are lucky to have quiet enough neighbors, but we can hear things as quiet as a phone vibrating on the nightstand of the next apartment over from our bedroom.

We lived here for almost 3 1/2 years and quite honestly it was a very decent place to live. Any time we needed maintenance it was completed within that day. When we moved in everything in the apartment was just remodeled and a lot more spacious than our current apartment. The grass was always neatly manicured, dog disposable bags were always refilled and we had the pleasure to meet nice neighbors around the apartment complex. Since packages kept getting missing, lost or stolen, they were able to implement The Hub lockers to safely secure your packages in a separate part of the apartments. It was very generous from the staff to add this new addition there so you were able to enjoy your day with a peace of mind that your package wasnt going to be dropped off at your doorstep like most apartments in the area. The only thing we disliked was some of the rude, ghetto people that would show up at the pool. We witnessed a lady use profanity at another lady in front of there kids this was during the month of June. To add, some dog owners there do not even bother picking up there pets wastes, so you can imagine theres landmines everywhere. Also, if you ever need anything done and done correctly, I would highly recommend Oscar, the apartment manager there. He was able to quickly send our disposition in less than 2 weeks. I would highly recommend Alton Green for its spacious amenities, full set washer and dryer inside and extra storage space in each apartment.

Not worth the money, and terrible customer support.Alton Green didnt even give me a chance to live at their property. I submitted an application for a unit, and Alton Green called me to tell me there was something missing from my application, but refused to tell me what it was, only saying they will get back to me. Five ignored phone calls and three weeks later, I found somewhere else to live. My new building had no problems with processing my application at all. I spent a ridiculous amount of money on the application fee for Alton Green because I really thought it was somewhere that I wanted to live, and they refused to even give me the time of day. They took my money and ran with it.

They allow vicious pit bulls even if they say they restrict the breed. One attacked and almost killed my dog. The neighbors above me also had a pit bull which was constantly bouncing off the walls. Also, if you live beneath anyone, go ahead and consider them your roommates because you will hear their conversations, television, music, stomping around, and pretty much everything else all day long. My walls would rattle from their television, music, dog, and walking. I could even hear the neighbors above me every time they had sex. I would be completely asleep and would wake up because it was so audible. Management said the noise must be audible from outside the apartment for them to consider it a problem. One day I called the office and asked management to come to my apartment so that they could hear what I was enduring daily. I was told someone would be right over. I waited two hours, and they never showed up. When I tried calling the office again no one would answer the phone. So I walked to the office where Sara, one of the management staff, informed me that no one came because they are not allowed to enter my apartment even if I asked them to do so. Sara said she knew I had been told by another office staff member that someone would come to my apartment and that I was waiting for them, but she did not bother to call me to tell me that in fact, no one was coming to my apartment. This was atrociously unprofessional and extremely inconsiderate. Sara also basically made me feel like I was being difficult and making it all up. I was unable to sleep through the night for months because of the noise until I was finally able to move out. This was the most miserable living experience Ive had to date.

Really disappointed with this business. If youre young, hard-working, and trying to move out on your own, please do your research and be aware of this place. We met with Katherine Roberts, who was a very new leasing assistant. Unfortunately for my fiancee and I, Katherine did not know her information at all! She was going to charge us a pro-rate and first months rate upon moving in, when in actuality, when we talked to her co-worker, Daniel, he told us that the information Katherine gave us was not correct. We would only have to pay the pro-rate upon moving in, which would cover our first month living there, then normal rent would kick in the following months. This business also stated that my fiancee and I signed documents, which is really worrying because the only documents we signed were the applications. Beware that they are doing this! Katherine gave us misleading information, and proceeded to claim that we did not understand anything she told us from the beginning when we had confronted her about it. Katherine accepted our deposit, which is claimed to be refundable by this business, and did not answer our questions thoroughly. We asked for our deposit back, and they refused. Please do your research as I know we all work hard and are trying to make a living.

My previous review is exactly what happened and 100% honest and accurate. In reading all of Alton Greens one star review responses there is a clear pattern of them being hostile, defensive, and taking no accountability for their actions of their tenants negative experiences. They blame former tenants when they had a negative experience living there and attempt to make it the tenants fault to shift blame to the tenant in order to claim they give 5 star service, when after reading all of the reviews its clear former tenants had legitimate serious concerns, and did not receive 5 star service. And they all say is were sorry you feel that way, just stop on by and talk to us. I did exactly that after losing everything I owned because of them. The only response that I got from Alton Greens manager Daniel Garcia when I mentioned anything was well thats what you believe, over and over and over, every time I brought up a single concern I had, and without empathy, accountability or apology. When I asked him why were these notices were not at least posted, why in 3 days no one that worked there could find the time to notify me, his canned responses were Im not going to answer that anytime I brought up a legitimate concern, over and over and over again. Those were the only two things he could say because he knew I was making legitimate points that he couldnt account for or explain that were mostly his fault. He messed up massively and took absolutely no ownership for his mistake. Those were literally the only responses I got for every concern or inquiry I posed to him. They could have come back when I was home, posted a note, emailed me, called me, or any other various type of communication. It was his responsibility to ensure that happened, which he did not. They could email me when they we resurfacing the parking lot, or removing snow, or anything else, but not something as important that the sheriff was coming Monday to do the physical eviction. He was the one that had contact with the sheriff and admittedly, to my face, did nothing! I would read their one star reviews when considering living there, read the other reviews too and see the difference in how they treat people on public forums when they get positive reviews. The fireplaces dont work, the bathtubs are painted and constantly peeling and chipping away paint clogging you drain, I had to toilet plunge my shower drain every couple days because of the paint chips, I always had ants in the walls and springtime, the plaster in their walls is garbage and your lucky you can nail a picture to the wall, let alone any decorative hanging. There are so many nicer apartments in the Denver metro area nowadays that are way cheaper, managed professionally be management that actually care, and in way better areas that are more interesting, and highway accessible; it literally takes 30+ mins to even get to a highway to get to work in the morning from here on a good day. There are a lot of living options, I personally would check those out first.

I lived here for three years and a half, I even started my family there, we were good neighbors and good tenants, always paid on time and obeyed all rules. While living there if you experience any apartment issues (broken light, broken door, etc) do not count with the help of office nor maintenance. They will most certainly overcharge you for anything that breaks and might need replacing. Since day one of moving in they didnt even care to fix a door that was outside at our balcony, we told them multiple times to fix the door, there was maybe one attempt at fixing it and when they maintenance guy saw that they might need to replace the whole door he said that they were going to order a new one, and well that new door never came in. We kept stuff in there to store in plastic bins, and we thought they were going to fix it, but they never did. Even after telling the office many times, they never did anything to help us. My wife had a baby, and we needed to move out, and we spoke about this to Sarah Morales, the assistant general manager, and she said that there was no problem at all with us moving with the specified date. We had paid in advance for the month of March, and we had already told them since February that we were going to move out, again, we asked if there was any problems, or any charges, and again we were assured that everything was ok. We moved out a little before March ended and we told again Sarah Morales the assistant general manager, and again she said all is good, just leave keys inside. Later on, we get a huge penalty fee for a 5 day early evacuation of $212.00. DO NOT LIVE HERE ! Very disappointed with our treatment there. You will leave this place frustrated and angry because of how incompetent people are there in the office. STAY AWAY from this place. I really regret living there.

Pros:- Maintenance gets things fixed in a reasonable amount of time and Joe especially is great!- The apartments are big and have everything you need including a washer/dryer.- We had a 3rd floor apt and the vaulted ceiling and all of the natural light made the winter so much better!- Youre close to pretty much everything and the neighborhood Walmart is walking distance from the apt, as well as some pizza places and an awesome Chinese Restaurant!- The grounds and pool are well maintained and it makes the apt complex look nice enough for visitors to compliment on.- We had to break our lease early due to a family matter and they were very understanding and made the process easy. They also were very fair on the walkthrough, which we werent there for, and the end amount we ended up owing was less than we thought it would be!Cons:- Really the only con is that some of the other people who live in the complex are noisy, inconsiderate, and dirty. Youll see and smell a lot of cigarettes, theres a lot of yelling/fighting/rap/subwoofers in the parking lot and from other apartments. This is the case for most apartments though and while it was annoying at times, it wasnt overly disruptive. We could sleep at night with the windows and patio door open.Oh, and you can also rent a garage for $100 a month, which was a nice option since the weather in Aurora can get crazy!Overall Alton Green was one of the better apartment complexes Ive lived at!

Probably the worst apartments Ive ever lived in. The only good thing about this place was the maintenance staff. The reason we know maintenance so well is because everything in our apartment broke at least once. We moved into a newly renovated apartment and there was more wrong with it than probably an old one. The hot and cold on our kitchen sink was switched upon move in, our entire kitchen flooded (it took 4 days for someone to come fix it), dishwasher stopped working a few times, the oven wasnt fully installed upon move in, our toilet broke probably once a month, our door knob fell off twice - we got locked in the apartment the fist time, washing machine never ran right, among other things Im forgetting because there were too many things wrong. When I e-mailed the property manager she wouldnt take fault and said theyre not brand new apartments, just renovated. Of course theres going to be problems. The price is cheap but you get out of it what you pay. As for the pool- very disgusting. There was a dirty band-aid stuck to the side of it for at least a month last summer. The pool was so dirty. Not to mention, I hope youre not counting on getting your deposit back...because they will take the whole thing upon move out.

Rent payment can be frustrating. They do not have a rent drop box for after hours or when the office is closed. We were charged a $150 plus an additional $10/day we were later e with our rent payment. We went to pay rent 3 days before but the office seemed to be closed, no one answered the phone and there was not a sign posted whether they were out showing an apartment. When we went to make our payment the day after a holiday, they explained to us that someone was working the day we went to make a payment, which we didnt believe. They let us know that we can just slip our rent payment underneath the door and that the cleaning crew would place the check on their desk. When we asked if we can get a credit since we tried to pay our rent on time but couldnt due to the fact the office was closed and no rent drop box, we were stuck having to pay an additional $160. This is so irritating. If you have to tell residents to just slide the rent underneath the door, maybe you need to invest in a simple drop box. Thanks Alton green for charging me more and not doing anything to help us out except to just slide the payment under the door.

There are plenty of nicer and more affordable apartment complexes in the Denver area, if you can stay away from this place!

I have been here for a year now. I have about two weeks left on my lease and my apartment is full of water again. Ive been here for a year and have had water problems since the first day I moved in. I would definitely choose another place to live. And the parking situation is really unfair if youre not home by 7 you will not have a place to park. I cant remember how many times Ive parked my car in the back of the complex I live by the mailboxes.

I’ve lived here for only 6 months and have had an issue with roach infestation for 5. They said don’t start looking for the source apartment unless the issue continues but it’s been 5 months since I’ve begun reporting this and the bug sprayer has only come out twice so it doesn’t seem to be taken very seriously. It’s gross seeing roaches on my walls and countertops and it’s not worth the amount of money I pay in rent here to be dealing with this. Here’s a picture of a baby I saw this evening 😊

These are some of the nicest apartments Ive lived in as far as noise, crime, renovations, and amenities goes. It is always pretty quiet here and I feel safe walking to the mailbox or hot tub at any time of the day. Neighbors are friendly and there doesnt seem to be many parties or issues you normally deal with at most apartment complexes. Maintenance is fast to respond if you need help with something. It is super close to Walmart which is convenient and theres always coffee you can go grab from the leasing office. Its a little expensive here but the apartments are renovated and bug-free, so thats a plus! The community utility fees seem to be pretty high but they base it off of how many people are in your apartment and in your building, so they make it as fair as possible. Overall I would recommend these apartments if you want something high end enough to be proud of your home but still affordable.

I have had wonderful experiences with Daniel (manager) and his former assistants were also very competent. Unfortunately, Daniel is the only one left of this crew and the current assistant manger is to be avoided. Zero customer service from her - my advice is to work with Daniel. Paying rent is extremely frustrating since there is no after hours drop slot and it is costly to try to pay online. If you are late by one day expect to pay at least $170 and if you arent dealing with Daniel you will be talked down to and criticized in addition to having to pay the corporations hefty fees. Very unpleasant experiences!

This is ridiculous! The management never has helped this either. Always says its gophers, I know what rats look like and I have video to PROVE ITS RATS. Wish they would also have a net of some sorts for the pool cause it is disgusting. Half the time the hot tub doesnt work, I stopped going cause the last 2 times nothing worked and the pool was disgusting! GET BETTER MANAGEMENT PLEASE. I got a non renewal notice, I think it is because the dryer broke and they didnt fix it. The patio door want slide and they came a looked at both the dryer and sliding door but never fixed them. So I think this is in retaliation because I complained. Lot of problems with the uint. I have been here less than a year and I have had them out to fix about 6 little things on top of the 2 big ones...

I am very dissatisfied and upset with Alton Green apartments. With the covid pandemic, I have struggled financially as most people have. They authorized Wyatt towing company to place stickers on my car warning me that if I dont get my tags updated, theyd tow my car. They impede my view so I cant see out of my window. I really am very disappointed with how callus and impersonal they are. An email or a notice on my door THAT COMES off would have been preferred.

Dont move here. Weve only been here a year. Management seems disinterested in anyone. No air-conditioning and its 80 degrees. I let them know my elderly husband on oxygen is having a hard time breathing. This is what the manager said Well your 4th on the list and we cant help you before anyone else its the policy, maintenance will get to you today, turn down the thermostat So i did and it froze up, so by the time maintenance came around 4 hours later they said they have till tomorrow wait till it defrosts to do anything. $1600 a month for the getto! We will be moving when the lease is up! UPDATE AS OF AUG 2019-Lived here now for 18 months, requested maintenance on our heating/air conditioning from the time we moved in! My daughter was told by the manager that he would just evict us if we called our own contractor to fix it and deduct it from the rent. Maintenance supervisor and management all said the problem of no heat/air blowing was our fault because we leave our windows/sliding door open slightly to defrost the coil which would freeze. Finally after 20 months an HVAC professional came in and replaced the coil and blower and that the air duct that was vented into the floor above us!!!!!! Our refridge freezes our food and we were told that they cant fix it. I dont even call them any more so tired of being blamed for their maintenance issues. 25 page lease that gives you every restriction of what you cant do, including towing your vehicle if its parked in a space to long, and restrictions on what you cant do in a rented garage well be moving at lease end! Unleashed Dogs that run on the property, dog poop not cleaned, were told it our responsibility to alert the management for these problems.

The parking here is absolutely terrible. My car got towed for illegal parking yet there wasnt a space in the whole entire complex. I received absolutely no help to solve this issue from management yet there are broken down vehicles just sitting taking up nemourus spaces. Its not fair. I will not be renewing my lease and I highly suggest people look elsewhere to live. For as expensive as this place is they should be better help to thier residents. It would have taken one phone call to resolve this issue from management seeing how they have a contract with a tow company. Shady.

I lived at Alton from 2012 to 2016 in two different apartments, a two-bedroom and a one-bedroom. My main reason for moving was a job on the other side of I-25 and the increasing rent. I cant say its Altons fault that rent is going up, thats just Denver property values in general.Office StaffMaryAnn went above and beyond more times than I can count over the course of our living at Alton. She was always friendly and helpful and took our concerns seriously. I got to know several of the other office staff over the years, and all of them were very helpful and competent people. The turnover rate at the office is fairly low (or was, when I was there) so you have a chance to get to know the staff. That greatly helped to make the apartment feel more like a home.MaintenanceMaintenance impressed me many times over the course of my time at Alton. Fairly early on, when we had first moved in, our water heater died. It was a Friday night, and I wasnt sure if the maintenance team worked on the weekend (they do), so I called the emergency maintenance number and got a call back from the head of maintenance that night. He said that the following day they would install a new water heater for us. When we learned our heater broke, I was expecting at least a few days of no hot water, but to my great surprise they arrived early that Saturday and swapped the broken one with a new one. And they didnt charge us.GroundsThe grounds are basic low-maintenance landscaping. They may not have a giant gaudy fountain but they take pride in their lawns and hedges. They have a guy who goes around and cleans up the loose trash which helps the overall appearance. I notice people complaining about the dog feces issues. Where I lived it was not that bad, but it would depend on your neighbors. The office is VERY serious about fining people for not cleaning up after their pets.ParkingParking situation is typical for an apartment complex. Typically I got to park near my apartment but sometimes I had a

I have lived here for 3 years, and the last year has been nothing but the WORST! New management took over and the place has really gone down. Trash everywhere, dog poop all over the place, barking dogs all night long, and the noise from neighbors is insane. Dont bother making a complaint to get any of it fixed, they do not care. The office staff will start treating you as if you are the hassle if you complain, and never return a phone call to you again. Just drive on by and find somewhere else to live. The price is too high for what you have to put up with.
