I have lived at this apartment for about 9 months now in a one bedroom one bathroom and overall I am satisfied with the staff and their customer service. These apartments are are one of the most quiet ones I have lived in so far. The inside of the apartment can use some updating but are well maintained for being as old as they are. I love the high ceilings in the living room and bedroom area. It makes it feel a lot bigger than they are. I would recommend these apartments to students who are looking for a quiet place to live, not a party atmosphere.

Quality decent place.Had a 2bed/2ba for 2020/21, small but comfortable.Always quick response from leasing office and for maintenance.Rent was within the average rate at Davis. One thing that took me by surprise was how they claimed 100% of the security deposit for carpet cleaning and based on the lifetime of painting.Overall a good experience.

Living at Renaissance Park Apartments has been such a great experience. The staff are so nice, taking care of any issues on a timely matter. Maintenence of the outside of the complex is the best I have ever seen. Every once the staff will surprise the tenants with pies for Christmas, breakfast delivered to our our Apartments, coffee trucks for fresh coffee. I have lived in quite a few Apartments and this is the best and the location is great also.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Avoid this complex at all cost! They WILL NOT give your deposit back by charging you for paint (which CA specifically prohibits!) and there will be water shut offs almost every week!!

Renaissance Park is a good apartment complex. I give 4 stars because there have been problems with plumbing and our in-unit washing machine. However, emailing them for maintenance was an easy process and their response time was relatively quick. Construction and noise isn’t much of an issue. I love their occasional events. Management is super friendly in my experience as well. Not perfect, but planning on renewing my lease.

I wouldnt recommend this apartment complex to my worst enemy.I have had multiple incidents of finding homeless people sleeping in the laundry rooms, odd people stalking my apartment at night (which I caught on a personal security camera, because the complex provides no form of security), found mold in the kitchen sink, and the prices go up $200+ each year with nothing to show for it.You will LOSE your security deposit no matter how much you clean and fix things up, so dont even bother. The three girls that work in the office act friendly in the beginning but are simpleminded and absolutely useless when it comes to needing help. Do not rent here!!

I gave 5 stars when I moved in, and I have to take it back now. The overall experience was not good as I expected. Frequent water shut-off, poor pest control, continuous construction work thru the year make people frustrated especially during the pandemic period when you have to stay at home. Maintenance guys were really nice, but management was not. They closed your account immediately after the lease has ended, so you have no way to trace back your billing statement. When you move-out, they will charge you a lot for different reasons. Really disappointed, will never live with them again...

Be prepared for your PGE bill to be sky high in the summer if you live in an upstairs apartment. The central AC unit in our apartment was so weak we could crank the AC on full blast during a summer day and our apartment would never get below 82 degrees. The insulation was so terrible that the apartment couldn’t hold the cold air in, so the AC would run all day just to keep the apartment at a sweaty temperature. We complained multiple times about the AC. But they said everything was working just fine. It obviously wasn’t if our apartment can’t get below 82 with the AC on full blast all day. But they had no answer.Every somewhat hot month = $500 PGE bill. Be prepared. Also, the people at the front office have a lame attitude. Like they always know better than you. I actually had to argue with the front desk lady about whether or not a maintenance man had come to replace my toilet. They had just come the day earlier and replaced my toilet. I watched them do it with my own eyes. The lady at the front desk didn’t believe me and insisted on sending someone else into my apartment to confirm. Because my eye witness testimony of watching them change my toilet wasn’t enough for the all knowing apartment manager. Maintenance guys were always super cool though. I liked them, every interaction with them was cool.A whole fist sized ball of ants came out of our tub faucet once. That was interesting. They shut the water off for a day like twice a month. They wait until the last second to give you your deposit back. And good luck actually depositing that check once you get it if you had roommates that moved away. The way they address the check requires everyone on the lease to be present at the bank in order to cash the check. So if your roommates moved back to their home state, you don’t get to actually cash your deposit check. The price went up every singe year we were there until we got priced out. Expect the same to happen to you.

Absolutely love them! It was such a relief to find an apartment complex where your needs/concerns are so readily addressed by a staff that genuinely cares. It has convenient access to multiple bus lines (which is great since I rely solely on the buses for transportation) and their office is really welcoming (not to mention they always have snacks available to you).

Comfortable apartments complete with snacks galore and a management team thats actually on your side. The ladies working at the office are definitely a highlight: not only are they super kind, but theyre also willing to help you out every step of the way. One of my favorite things thus far has been the themed events they host at the office. They are such a delight!! The yummy food and fun themes make for a really nice treat that always makes you feel welcomed :)

Overall I enjoyed my stay at Renaissance Park due to the amenities (clubhouse with pool table and quick, free Keurig coffee, fitness center, pool) and the abundance of available parking most of the time, but be warned: it is expensive compared to other rentals in Davis. In addition, the water is frequently shut off with very short notice, often leaving me unable to shower or refill my water filter before class. Maintenance guy was quick to respond but his fix for the dryer didnt do the job (heating element broken due to a blown fuse, so I replaced it myself with fuse element from Aliexpress, didnt even ask for compensation from them although I shouldve). Management was polite, but not the quickest moving for documents.

The worst possible living experience ever. Water gets shut off multiple times sometimes without warning. My kitchen had to be rebuilt because of a leak in which they put HEPA filters and quarantined it due to possible Asbestos containment. When I turned in my receipts for food (1 lunch 1 dinner I bought at the same time because I don’t have time to go another time), they started questioning why I bought two meals instead of 1 even though I never bought breakfast. The heater broke in the winter time and it took them a few tries to actually fix it. They have been under constant construction for months and I can’t sleep properly in the mornings. Don’t let them fool you, all the stuff in the apartment is old, worn and broken and they’re spending all this money on outside construction to make it look brand new. DO NOT LIVE HERE!

They turn the water off for maintenance regularly, often with less than an hour notice. My AC had been broken since the day I moved in, and every time I submit a maintenance request they send the incompetent maintenance guy, with no specialized training in AC/heating units, who inevitably deems nothing is wrong, despite the fact that the AC can’t keep my apartment cooler than 80° in the summer. I have lived here for three years unfortunately (moving is expensive and time consuming), and have never had a good experience with management. Every summer my PG&E bill is $250/month because the AC has to be constantly running to keep my apartment from reaching 80°+. The units are old, there is asbestos in the ceiling, and it’s often difficult to find parking after 9pm. Also, I had my bike on my balcony until they told me to move it because it isn’t “patio furniture.” I had it locked at one of their designated bike spots, and it was stolen. You can pay extra for a bike locker though! I know it’s hard to find housing in Davis, but you can certainly find somewhere this pitiful and at least pay less than $1700/month.

Sadly the management in Renaissance Park apartments is the worst management Ive ever experienced, even though the complex is pleasant. They are super slow in processing documentations and putting you on the lease, and dont even respond to your messages. You need to make sure you follow up even if youve left them a message/voicemail.They are also rude and unprofessional once they get comfortable with you, such as interrupting you and giving you attitude while youre talking and not letting you finish your sentences. Even though they have office hour schedule, the office can suddenly be closed and no way of getting in touch with them. So many times they told me the office would be open the next day, but they would end up being closed. Also get used to frequent water shut offs. Unreliable is one word I would choose to describe the management in this apartment complex.

Lived here last year, my friend even calls it Barbaric park apartment. House is old and renovation of furnitures is just paint furnitures into white, carpet and floor seems have a good renovation though. However, sound insulation of the room is not good, and floor is too thin that even people lived in second floor walk normally it will feel like they are stomping hard. There were many unexpected thing happening here. At the first day I moved in, I asked an agent about whether the heating system is using electric or gas, and I got an answer as electric, so I didnt create gas account at PG&E. Later in late November, I turned on the heating system and it doesnt work at all, when I requested a repair of my heating system, the repairman responded quickly and told me I need to open gas account at PG&E to use the heating system(I have to say repairing group is really responsible here). AWESOME, agent of the apartment doesnt know how the heating system is driven. Moreover, if you really need to choose here as your home, DO NOT PAY WITH CHECK OR ONLINE PAYMENT. I tried to pay my rent in the first month with online payment, I was sure I have enough money in my account, and I checked the routing number and other information carefully twice before submit, after a week, I got an email told me that the payment didnt go through, and I thought maybe I input the wrong number in the system, then I checked it even more careful than a week ago, it still didnt go through, and I had to pay with money order. Next time I tried to pay with check and they told me they wont take it because Im dishonoring them. AMAZING. I paid my PG&E bill with online banking, I paid my rent at previous apartments with check, and they worked perfectly good but just didnt work at Renaissance Park apartment, further more, they accused you DISHONORED. I recommand that let the repairing group take charge of the management and it would be better than now. Wont recommand choosing this apartment as your home.

Overall, I did not like living in this apartment. It often had water problems (only cold water or no water), not to mention the abundance of spiders, earwigs, and occasionally a cricket sneaking in; the sealing on the doors and windows sucked. Their online payment system was unreliable, so I always paid by check. It was a little expensive for the lack of things you got in return: only 1 bed/1 bath for $1300, but it was one of the cheaper places in Davis so we went with it. Staff was not always easily accessible, but when they were, they were at least prompt with solving problems and always friendly. It was hot and stuffy inside, so for the winter it was perfect, but for summer it was miserable; the AC sucked as well so I had 2 fans and the window open a lot (luckily there was a screen). Also, it was quiet, but sometimes I had not felt safe here. I had a bike stolen and so did my boyfriend. I did like that it was close to many stores and the freeway (I-80), and walks were nice because there was greenery and not a lot of noise.

Our daughter lived here for two years, at first it seemed okay, however she came up against several issues during that time...particularly when she was moving out!Management was unresponsive to complaints about undergarments being stolen from the laundry room and later found out that it had been going on for at least three years. (undergarments stolen and later found by maintenance stuffed into electrical boxes in the other laundry rooms) Management did not provide 24 hours notice before entering apartment. Management was not consistent about answers to basic questions.Worn out carpet, hairs painted into the freshly painted walls and huge drips on cabinets, paint drops all over the carpet edges, wobbly stove, dirty stove fan filter, bath tub faucet fixture pulled so hard it popped the wall every time it was used . Original refrigerator leaked, it was replaced and when it was, the floor behind it was filthy (obviously not cleaned before she moved in). Ping pong ball and dirt found along side of stove (obviously not cleaned before she moved in either). All in all it was okay clean at the time she moved in BUT upon moving out, she was told several different things about getting her deposit back. One person in the office said she would get her deposit back if she left it as clean as when she moved in, another person said she could have it cleaned and submit an invoice, the signed lease stated to leave it as clean as when moved in to get the deposit back however, per the manager, they automatically will deduct $150 for cleaning. The apartment was cleaner when she moved out than when she moved in. It has yet to be determined how much of her deposit shell get back. The laundry room is not very nice and machines are always breaking down. Doesnt look like the pictures!!NOTE: The Maintenance Man is AWESOME! He does what he can and is very responsive.Would NOT recommend this complex!

I was ready to put an application and deposit down for a two bedroom. The rent was kind of high, but now any where you go its high; even when the apartment is out of date. This place was nice because of all the room, extra closet space and rooms were a good size. I was given a brochure with rent rate of what the rent would be for, etc. However, when I went to turn in the application, their was a different staff member named Bianca. She was unprofessional and it came off shady. She increased the rent rates even though the other staff had given me the rate. I found it very unprofessional. They do nothing to attract tenants or this lady was being a butt-face.
