My husband and I are current residents we have lived here for 2 years and are currently starting a new lease in a bigger apartment. Jerry is my favorite leasing agent to speak with, he is so kind and knowledgeable and soft spoken. He is always willing to help and take care of anything you need. He was the one that got us the apartment we are in now and he’s helping us with the new apartment we are moving into. The complex is quiet and not a lot of people walking around and in a very good location as well. We are just about 15 mins from shopping and 20 mins from downtown and right by the interstate as well. We’ve enjoyed our time here and I hope other tenants have the same experience.

Im very happy with my home here at Westmoor. My favorite part is my balcony, its so peaceful and even though I live by the pool, its very quiet. I also appreciate how responsive the management and maintenance team are...they host resident events each month which I also appreciate and enjoy.

I cant trust the leasing office, I had trusted them to finish the agreement application and I had made my deal with them to live at this apartment for 7 months only and this deal was with Ariana the person who did my paperwork at the leasing office, was clear to extend my reason for staying, im was looking for a house as my stay was not permanent I was going to be there and I signed the necessary paperwork for the 7 month agreement and by then she had told me i can move in by February 15th, by February 25th when I had asked for the key to move in I saw the apartment not clean enough like this picshe had asked me to sign another leasing agreement, when I had asked her why I had to sign another agreement she had told me she had lost our first agreement and and cannot find it, because of that I did not check the 7-month plan because I had already made it clear that I only wanted the 7-month agreement. In the first 2 months I had contacted the leasing office to leave before my original plan, she had told me I cannot leave before the agreement ends and when I asked for more details she said I would have to wait for the year to be up, and I was furious. She told me I signed a 12-month lease but in actuality I had signed a 7-month lease and I had told her to fix her mistake, and to this day she has not fixed her mistake, My friends that had came to help me witnessed the whole conversation and the signing as well. All because of this mistake the westmoor apartment office no longer have my trust.

I toured this place when looking for apartments. The amenities are amazing,they are also very reasonable in contrast to other places. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the application process and answered any questions I had.However,I had no idea that these apartments are unfurnished. The models in these photos do not represent the actual apartments. The resident had to provide all the furniture so that’s a huge bummer but it was a great location!

Horrible property Horrible customer service thin walls. The only benefit is a carport. Dont waste your time. This property is old and it just applies makeup when it needs a face-lift.. Current resident and I will not be renewing my lease. I would not recommend this property.

The apartments are great and the new manager Kashmere is great and very knowledgeable. The only complaint I would have is the maintenance takes a while to come and fix something. And they may act like they don’t know what you’re talking about but EVENTUALLY it’ll get done.

Been here since June and I love it! The office staff is very professional and that manager Kashmere is so sweet and helpful. I had a issue and needed to downsize to a one bedroom and they did everything possible to meet my needs. Maintenance comes out quickly also. No trash or bugs and no crime issues.

The apartment is great and management is awesome. They keep us up to date on everything. The outside amenities are awesome and I can’t wait to be able to go swimming. When something needs to be fixed, they make it happen in good time. Although me and my brother moved at a crazy point in time, we still feel connected to the management office. I love it here so far.Update: my review had definitely changed because there were things that happened that were not attended to as they should have been. Me and my brother lives believe people who smoked marijuana and it smelled all throughout our apartment everyday. Being in the careers we’re in, smelling like marijuana is not good at all. Management did nothing to ensure this problem was taken care of. The trash is always overflowing. When they an apartment is being remodeled, they change a couple things and pain over the rest, it is not remodeled.

I am a current resident, and Ive lived here for several years. Over the years Ive seem people come and go in the leasing office, but this team is great!! They are always polite and very helpful, the maintenance guys are also great. My work orders are completed in a timely manner and they clean-up after themselves before the leave. But I would love an upgraded kitchen in the apartment Im in now but thats not an option and that is my only issue. There are not a lot of people walking around and kids playing everywhere, its well lit at night. I have recommended these apartments to two friends and 1 family member and they all moved in and loved it. One family still lives here now.

Management and Staff is friendly and care about the tenants and theirs needs. The property is well maintained, updated and quite, good place to call home. Love it here at Westmoor Apartments!

As this is the first apartment me and my fiancé are living in together I thought we would enjoy everything about it. I was expecting to make this place feel like home and even stay here for a few years. Within a few weeks of being here we started seeing roaches. And the number of roaches we would see during a day would grow in numbers. We are them in all areas of our apartment when we don’t even leave any food out or open. Pest control has sprayed and out our bait and there have been no changes. I feel like I’m calling the office on a weekly basis to complain about this problem. It’s getting to the point I almost want to just leave mid lease....and we’ve only been here about 2 months. Just sad

I lived there 8 years in two bedroom two and full baths. I enjoyed the apartment I lived in, the location was upstairs with a huge private balcony. It was an oasis for me, just the right amount of light in the livingroom and bedrooms. No roaches and no rats, Westmoor have the best pest control. I have no pets but it is pet friendly. I will miss the apartment I lived in.

*SafetyWithin the gates of the apartments we’ve never had any issues & all of our immediate neighbors are pretty trustworthy. We’ve had neighbors drop off packages that were accidentally delivered to them & people work together to find and return lost items.The concern comes from immediately outside the gates. I’ve lived here almost a year and within that timeframe there have been at least 2 murders directly on this block (not in the complex but very close by). There are regularly gunshots, some throughout the day but mostly at night; and people racing on the street and in nearby parking lots.At *least* once a week I hear a major car accident on the adjacent streets.The parking lot is very narrow and people drive very fast. There are no speed bumps or deterrents for people driving recklessly through the cramped and narrow parking lot. Not very safe for children.If they didn’t ask for so much money in rent, I wouldn’t be as critical about some of these things. ($1,000 for a 1 bedroom)*PestsWe leased the apartment a month before we fully moved all of our things in, and once we finally brought the first few boxes in we immediately noticed sugar ants coming in through the patio. These don’t bite & they’re relatively easy to keep under control, there were only a few, so it didn’t bother me *that* much, although it was worrisome as it wasn’t a good sign. (We barely had anything in the unit & already noticed bugs!!!)After a few months of living in our unit we noticed a HUGE fire ant problem. We have an infant who was learning how to walk at the time so this was extremely concerning and stressful as she needed to spend time on the floor.Despite obsessively cleaning, vacuuming, and spreading vinegar, we could not get the ants under control. I ended up checking directly outside of my building and saw the BIGGEST ANT MOUND I’ve ever seen in my life right under my unit. I don’t understand how any complex could allow this thing on their grounds or why they waited for people’s children to be eaten on before they decided to take care of it. I called the office towards the end of the week and had to wait until Tuesday for them to take care of it because they don’t touch pest issues until Tuesday’s. Once they sprayed the outside of the building and the mound, we didn’t have anymore fire ant issues, although I still spot sugar ants every now and then around crumbs my daughter drops that I might miss while cleaning.Fast forward to 6 months later and now there are ROACHES. I’m completely overwhelmed and disgusted. I’ve never before in my LIFE have had a roach problem. We keep food in airtight containers with the exception of a few items, but for the past week or so when I go into the kitchen in the middle of the night I notice 1 or 2 small roaches roaming around the counters looking for food. At first I thought the rain was bringing them inside but this has become consistent & they’re always in the same place.I called the office and they told me to wait until Tuesday & someone will come in and spray the kitchen. I’m not sure how that will help because I’m almost positive they’re in the walls & the infestation is the result of a neighbor because there honestly isn’t any major sign of them *here* at any other time other than the middle of the night when 1 shows up.Completely emptied out kitchen & threw almost everything away. Tonight I went into the kitchen & saw around 5 roaches scatter when I turned the lights on. It was seriously disgusting, and I’m honestly panicking. Will update my review to include the results of pest control spraying cabinets but I don’t have high hopes as I think they’re in the walls coming from a neighbor’s unit. This is a dealbreaker for me & Im honestly considering breaking my lease if this isnt solved QUICKLY.*NoiseOur neighbors are pretty quiet and keep to themselves. Most of the noise around here comes from loud cars on the street.Won’t be renewing lease. Not worth the money, ESPECIALLY because of the BUGS. BUT I will change review if they solve the pest issue thoroughly & quickly.

Ive lived here since 2017, and this is the best complex that Ive lived at. Maintenance requests are completed as soon as possible. I would also like to say that the manager of the complex has always been nice, helpful, and professional. When I had to have the floors in my apartment dug up to fix the foundation, she made sure that I was taken care of and that things were done properly. I truly appreciate her help and understanding.

I dont particularly like the area but I LOVE this complex! Ive been here since April of 2013 and this is the best and most professional experience Ive had with an apartment community. Grounds are always maintained, the pools stay clean year-round (not just during summer months) and the staff is friendly. Best complex in the area, bar none.

Found out I was over paying for the apartments. Stayed for 2 years and have seen about 5 different managers through the office. The first year was good. Upgraded to the bigger 2 bedroom or so I thought and everything went downhill. Asked about losing my washer and dryer from the first unit and was told I would get it in the upgrade. False. Never connected a washer and dryer and had a water leak into my daughters closet causing mold. The head maintenance guy, Oscar i believe is his name, painted over it. My ac unit was out the WHOLE summer then when it got cold had no heat. I hade to call code compliance on them several times to get it fixed and for them to bring a window ac unit. The electric outlet in the master bedroom caught fire behind the wall. Since then my light bill has been over $200. Worst year Ive ever experienced. You tell them not to spray the insecticides but they still give them keys to spray your apartment after you declined. The lead maintenance guy barely fixes issues. Never used the dishwasher and it holds water and mold. Had a new refrigerator in this upgraded unit came home and had to get the refrigerator replaced. Theyll turn the water off without notifying you that its being worked on. Theyll enter your apartment even after youve said to notify you when maintenance is in the home so you can watch if theyre working. People were throwing diapers on top of the carports. They had a security in a black charger that harassed paying residents. Theres no lights in the bedroom and cracks throughout the whole apartment. Glad my lease has ended.

AMBER is the best manger always listen and willing to help tenants always going another step and beyond. She is the new manager but you would have not realize she step right in and showed her professional experience.

If I could give this apartment a negative I would have. To me the most important thing is PRIVACY!! Something they don’t have in the office, why ? Because my information was given out to a stranger, didn’t even ask the person who they were or anything. They told them of when I paid rent, when I didn’t. When I received an email when I didn’t. My phone number was given out to the stranger! They would tell the stranger FALSE statements and actions that I never did. If your personal information isn’t safe then are YOU even safe in apartments like this ??? My boyfriend’s truck was stolen from the parking lots as well. We tried to see the cameras but the office refused to show us the video! Then our insurance people went to the office trying to gather information and they refused again ! Horrible Horrible Horrible Place !!!!

Absolutely terrible service. I thought that I got lucky because the people they hired to work in the leasing office as I was moving out were rude and super unprofessional. Now I have to add lazy to the list.I provided my forwarding address to the leasing office before I moved out via email. And still, I did not receive my final notice after move-out. Being a single mother to a child with special needs, I did not follow-up on my end. Total my fault.Two years later I get a phone call from a collections agency telling me that my only payment option was to pay in full that day. I called the office and sent emails. Left voice messages. And never got any response. The collections company tried telling me that I didnt provide a forwarding address. Which is false and I have email to prove it.I called the apartment complex back and they lazily told me that I provided the address to the previous owners and not to them. Yet, I checked out with new property management, this company. And no leasing employed me informed me that I needed to provide a forwarding address.The collections company is telling me that I have to pay $300 up front to handle the debt. This is all during the pandemic. I was a great resident. I paid EARLY every month. No complaints. And now, because people simply refuse to do their job, my credit is at risk because not only did the collections company, hired by this property management, refuse the small amount of money that I had, they reported the nonpayment on my credit. Again, all during the pandemic.I still have not received any communication back from this property management company even though I have called, left voice messages, and sent email communication. I even reached out again to the apartment community requesting that they forward my message to the property management and nothing has been done.During a time where families are struggling to make ends meet and provide food for their family this type of professionalism, or lack there of, is absolutely disgusting.

I have been in this community a few years. I have enjoyed living with this community and its surrounding companies. It has been a pleasure to work with the office staff and see the updates and our community beautified. Although I was comfortable with our previous owners and staff and was concerned that we the community would not have the same experience, I was pleasantly happy with the new staff.Come join our community. Its a clean, fun, safe place to live.

I came in to take a look at the property was interested in renting a two bedroom. The staff at Westmoor is really sweet and really take the time to explain everything about the property not to mention the upgrades are beautiful. The new management is so efficient. They are very helpful with rent payments. I have new toilets and showers heads the moment they came in!! They are shaping up these apartments day by day. Been a resident here for the past 6 months, and although weve had a couple of issues (particularly with administration), we have been pleased with our renovated unit and location... Unfortunately, an adjacent resident moved in an now disturbs our peace by playing loud music, screaming, and banging on walls (sometimes as early as 6:30am!!!) Ive informed the office about this situation, to no avail. Thinking about moving out now.** UPDATE: Apparently, the neighbors have been informed and the disruption subsided... On the other hand, I had an issue with the resident portal and felt administration did not manage the situation well... Nevertheless, we are pleased with our unit and will remain in it for the time being.

Going on to 2 months being here, & when I say they have amazing office staff, I have no complains. They are so up to date with everything, they call, if not response they will send an email. They have events & they treat us like family. I truly love front office staff people. I don’t really know there names but one. Which is Falicia & she calls back as soon as possible when I need something in my apartment. They send maintenance right away! & just perfect with the view I have. They knew exactly what I wanted. Amazing crew.

I have been a resident 2+ years, and I have to say that I truly appreciate this apartment community because they approved me for a place to stay when I was really needing to move in a hurry. I came in under the previous management and when they were Park Village, but I have always been treated with respect, work orders are handled in a expeditious timeframe, the location of the community is perfect for my commute to work, and I appreciate all the upgrades and improvements the new management has made to make our community even better! I would definitely recommend Westmoor Apartments to any friends or family that were needing a great new place to call home

I just moved in and the apartment I got was full of fleas! I can’t believe they didn’t spray the whole apartment and change the carpet! There is a really bad smell coming from the carpet in the bedrooms too. Me and my family are getting bit and are having to live with this horrible smell!

I love it here. My neighbors are very sweet people and always speak. the kids are a bit noisy some times but its not that big of a deal. The office staff is really cool and very helpful as well as the maintenance staff. Overall these are really good apartments for this area

I have lived at Westmoor Apartments (fka Park Village) for about two years now. The units are dated, and the staff is more often than not rude. Dont wear anything nice when it rains, because the entire complex floods and is covered with mud — the drainage sucks. There will be standing water for days.On top of that, the property is filthy. There is always trash and debris everywhere. There is also a healthy abundance of people roaming around and all times of the day and night. We are supposed to have security, but they are never around when you need them. They have begun renovations and increased the rent. My hope that the renovations also include plumbing and electrical because as of right now, both are abysmal. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. Spend the extra few hundred and go to a respectable property.

Just moved in Saturday, it’s so peaceful 💯 God is soooooo Good ! You don’t hear no chicken heads, crackheads, no gunshots or helicopters. Ms. Debbie is a Blessing. I go to the fitness center, I can do laundry in the comfort of my own home without going out wasting gas, Church, work & shopping is up the street. No roaches & rats, reasonable price, safe neighborhood for my kid. I Love It

I visited a few weeks ago and i think this place is Beautiful! The property is very well kept & The staff is lovely! Those ladies have such amazing personalities! Once i move back Dallas this will be my new home! The time can not come soon enough!

My husband and I moved in here in August & love it. It is a comfortable gated community and all of my neighbors are really friendly. Debby is one of the managers who is always very helpful and nice. I love living close to the dog park because I have two dogs and they love it too. They offer college student discounts that take 5% off the rent and that is very helpful. I would recommend this complex to anyone. My main concern is that some of my neighbors don’t pic up their dogs feces and the dogggy poop bags need to be refilled. Doggy poop bags should be owned by dog owners any way so that is not really an excuse. There should defiantly be more attention paid toward that because the dog park bothers me due to that problem and that is what took of one star.

I used to enjoy living here. The property is nice and we kept and I never had any issues until the property went under new management. I planned on staying here for a while but now I plan on leaving as soon as my lease term ends due to the poor experiences I’ve had when I’ve gone into the office. I’m aware that with changes comes a little uncomfortability and that they are still trying to get situated but I don’t think that’s an excuse to be unprofessional. I’m not sure who reads these reviews but I hope these are read by someone higher up and they consider offering some type of professional development training to help the office staff at park village because you’ll lose a lot of good residents current and potential simply because an unpleasant customer experience.

Under new management. They are terrible! I been here 3 years and this is the first time I have been ready to move. They do not answer the phone or communicate with their tenants. Do not waste your time.

When I need the to fix something some time they come and sometimes it dont I need something fixed now my turn in but they never come fix it

Lived there for 1 year, car was broken into, so was my apartment. Worst place I ever lived and I lived in iraq for 3 years. After being burglarized, I called in my notice to leave, but management said it never happened and charged me a late notice fee. Guess they had to get a piece of what the crooks didnt.

I moved into Westmoor (Park Village Apts) when I was 19, around 2010. I moved out this year, 2019. It was the best decision of my life, because I never realized how well moving into something new could make a positive life change. I always been afraid of change. Most of these reviews were built from the very beginning of when park village was the best place on the earth, at least from the eyes of a 19 year old. It was a great community. It had security, great events, monthly memo calendars, great neighbors, low crime, and the rent was affordable. Those were the pros but as for the cons, I have a huge list of them. First con was when they converted our meters into smart meters. Our average electricity bill went from $70 to $200-300 dollars a month. We tried many things to get that fixed, but apparently there was nothing wrong with the meters. Imagine living in a one bedroom with an average of 1600 to 2000 kwh a month. Our new apt shown a drastic change and it totally proved that there was something wrong with the meter or the electrical wiring at our last home. There was definitely problems with the AC. The AC is so old that it makes a horrible churning sound when it turns on and off. It also broke down more than I could count. Instead of replacing it, they did a half job in fixing it over and over again. Other cons included, very thin walls, thin floors(the floors would crack), very old appliances (the refrigerator was extremely loud) and bad insulation. The crime rate definitely increased over time. I heard of break ins, violence, and I gotten a couple of things stolen out my car overnight. I was afraid for my safety everyday, because I knew my neighbors werent the best people. Another con, I was infested with roaches for YEARS. The pest control was horrible, but I can say that the new management took care of the problem within a couple months of time. I still dont know how they did it, but I guess that could be turned into a pro. There was more cons...the dumpsters get overfilled with so much trash all the time, the sewer can get flooded and sewage water will be all over the street, and the apartments foundation was built with the most cheapest things to get by. But besides all that...you wont have too much problems with the new management, paying your rent, or getting help with maintenance. If you are a very high class person or you are a person that really cares about what you put your money into, this is NOT the place for you. If you need a place that is affordable, or if you are young and dont really care about technical things like the stuff I mention above, then this is the best place for you. Everyones experience is different and maybe things will change over time, so dont let this review discourage you too much, but anyways this place was my very first home and I will definitely not miss it or think twice about it.-Goodbye Park Village Apts (Westmoor).

I’ve been living in these apartments for 3 years now. They recently got new management and I have never been so anxious to move. The manager Jazmin has no understanding to the residents needs and does not care about any problems brought to her attention. Maintenance man came to my neighbors house at 10:15 at night with no work order and when I bring it to your attention, all you can say is “well did he come to your house.” REALLY!🗣 DONT MOVE OVER HERE. #WARNING

Westmoor Apartments(formerly) Park Village is truly an EXCEPTIONAL living experience. I did have the opportunity of visiting other apartments within the area and their properties werent nearly as PLEASANT as Westmoor. Ive had the pleasure of living on this property for 3 years, and have never witnessed any loitering around the property day nor night. Furthermore, the grounds are very well kept and the overall property atmosphere is quiet and clean. I want to say I really feel safe here. I have especially enjoyed having the courtesy patrol, coffee bar, business center, high speed internet access, my view of the pool area and easy access to the laundry and fitness facilities. Nice apartments, very quiet but I have been living here for about 2 months and my ac has not been working for a good month. The maintenance people come do a half ass job and its still not working and I have babies and they complain that its hot too. I will be breaking my lease soon this is ridiculous!

Me and my gf have been living here for 1 year and just renewed our lease in October but were unaware that they were going under new management. The new management is HORRIBLE they are very unprofessional and unorganized they have no idea what they are doing in there we just moved into a new upgraded apartment but everything is breaking and I have to go in the office and ask more then 3 times for them to put a work order in and come fix something I can’t wait to move out and I wouldn’t recommend nobody to live here !!

Maintenance staff members at Park Village are prompt and thorough. If youre looking to live in the Duncanville area, Park Village is the way to go! Office staff holds community events are are always respectful.

I have been living here for years and I am very pleased with the apartment complex. There is no perfect place to live, but I can say that Park Village is one of the better living environments in this area. The prices are reasonable, the complex is conveniently located within the metroplex to other neighboring areas, and the staff/management are very nice. I was skeptical about the new management team coming in, but I can say they have made some improvements within the apartments and on the property that were truly needed as soon as they transitioned in. It does take time to fully get things in order when a new management team comes in, but I hope they continue to work out any problems/concerns that come with the transition and work to maintain the level of customer service they have shown me. Phylicia and the guy agent (sorry I dont remember his name) in the office were very professional when I spoke with them.

Place is nice BUT as of a month ago the apartments is under new management and they are very lazy, will not answer phone calls or return them. Always “busy” in the office. Does not have an emergency maitence number!

Ive been living here for about a year and its kool...the office crew is always nice and friendly and the maintenance crew do a good job fixing whatever needs to be fixed...the people are friendly and the kids are respectful...I would recommend these apartments to anyone

I love these apartments, Ive been here for 3 years my only complaint is they continue to raise the rent every time I renew Its very quiet and these apartments are on the 415, 466, and 404 bus routes

Highly unprofessional i came in today to ask if they had 3 bedrooms available i got looked at like i was crazy or something, the environment of the situation was awkward and weird I would not recommend but i mean it’s already in a GHETTO neighborhood I didn’t expect much from the leasing agents :)

I love everyone that works in the office and they are very compassion and i have been living in parkvillage since 2010 and i will not be moving no time soon. The maintance crew are good at their job.

Never Never Never consider moving to these crime infested, poorly up kept and Roach infested apartments. The new management is even worse than the last people who managed. This was my first real apartment as a young adult and it has been the worst experience possible. I would rather be on the streets than to live here again. Cant wait till moving day. If this review stops one prospect from choosing these apartments, its done its job. But Please learn from my mistakes and never live here. Ive also had my car broken into. The gates are always broke. The people in the office are ghetto with a low education, a bunch of amateurs. When you ask a question its met with disrespect in their eyes, their no help and more of a problem than. Most problematic people where Anita and Jasmine OConnor... People like this are whats wrong with the world today... No more to be said

As far as the apartments they are ok. But when i stayed there homeless guys was breaking into cars. Plus the management staff is horrible as hell. They are so rude no matter how long you stay there they act as if its a crime to help you if need be. For the type of attitudes these guys have you would think these apartments was in a very nice neighbor hood. But unfortunately its the hood. Ratchetness every damn where. Well i lived there in 2010 this was my first place i end up leaving cause i had a second child and affie daffie what ever her name is act as if i couldnt get a 2 bedroom but she wanted to renew me for the same small ass 1 bedroom for almost 600. Belinda is racist and affie daffie is a ass kisser following right behind her...
