I had to make a quick move when my last apartment flooded due to the winter storms. Michele made the leasing process so quick and easy for me, and has been super responsive and helpful ever since.Since then, I have loved living at Park West. The sense of community is so strong, and residents and staff are super helpful and friendly. I highly recommend! (Especially if you have a dog)
My girlfriend and I are moving to Dallas for new jobs and only had a short window over Memorial Day weekend to tour apartments. Park West had open office hours on both Saturday and Sunday which was great for us since we were driving from out of state. We toured 3 apartments and liked this one the best. It’s a gated community (including the garage) which was reassuring, and the amenities are nice.I will say a big plus to the application process was working with Jazmin. She gave us a great tour and didn’t rush us along. She provided a ton of info up front and answered multiple questions we had along the way. Very professional, polite, and responsive. We were very impressed with Jazmin. We did sign a lease and are looking forward to moving in soon.
Great apartment interior with nice kitchen elements (granite countertops, appliances). Maintenance requests get fulfilled quickly and I have not seen any insects since I moved here (3+ years). The resident community is actually super friendly and so is the staff. The General Manager, Michelle has been great at resolving issues and improving our Park West community. I would recommend living here.
Great place to live! The office staff goes above and beyond to make sure that any request is handled quickly and efficiently! The communication about events and or work going on around the facility is excellent! Im very happy that I chose Park West!
This has been my favorite place to live in Dallas so far. Management was great, amenities were great, and it was a great location. I’d move in all over again if I could. ❤️
We’ve lived here for over a year now, and in the process of moving into a bigger unit downstairs. We love it here. Toured 21 apartment complexes before choosing Park West and we made a great decision. Good gym and amenities with dumbbells that go up to 100lb. Dog friendly with an incredible dog park. Friendliest staff of any apt community I’ve lived in. They know all residents (and dogs) by name and have even sent cookies to my work for myself and other first responders.Walking distance to plenty of good food and bars as well. Check it out.
Weve lived here for about 3.5 years now and theres a reason weve stayed - the management. The staff is very friendly, responsive, and helpful. Any time we have a question or an issue pop up, theyre always quick with an answer or with assistance. Maintenance requests are always taken care of quickly. Its a great complex for pet owners and they keep the buildings and the grounds in good shape year-round, which is no small feat. During the recent winter weather and the accompanying blackouts, they did a great job of communicating with residents and offering help when they could. Of all the complexes Ive lived in, this is the best-managed one by far.
I had a terrible experience with a previous apartment complex and needed to move immediately. Charis at Park West helped me find a unit within the community that fit ALL of my needs, and the turn-around was so quick. I was applied and was approved for the unit on a Friday, and they had the unit ready for me by Monday. The community is great, the overall facilities, amenities and units are excellent and well-kept. The staff is AMAZING, and any maintenance requests I had were completely timely and efficiently. I have loved my experience so far and highly recommend to anyone looking in the Dallas area.
I highly recommend living here! Youll love the amenities for you and for your pets. The management is fantastic and this place is consistently being cleaned by our great maintenance staff.Ive loved living here for almost 5 years now and Ive recruited so many friends. Tour the property, you wont be disappointed!
Ive lived at Park West for almost a year. Moving from across the country in the middle of a pandemic could not have been smoother. The management and staff at Park West are first rate.Jazmin, in particular, was and continues to be so helpful and her attention to detail is second to none. The amenities here at Park West are outstanding. The location is great for walking to groceries, bars, etc. So happy to call Park West home.
Decent location and one of the few Dallas apartments that don’t have dog breed restrictions. Generally loud community with thin floors/walls and lots of barking. Constant security issues (there’s always some door/gate that’s broken; storage units and bike room broken into). Cleanliness isn’t amazing (naturally, with all the dogs). Rent increases when your lease ends.
Ive lived here a little over a year and it’s the best complex I’ve ever lived in. It’s been a great experience from day one. I work from home and I’ve lived places where noise was a challenge, but never here. It’s quiet like a library. The entire staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and always eager to help. They’re also fun! They have great activities, contests, and do things that make it feel like a true community. The amenities are superb, and the area is great. I can even go grocery shopping across the street. They genuinely care about you and your well-being at this complex. During this pandemic, they have supplied great resources, ideas to help, updates, etc. They go above and beyond every step of the way. As far as the negative things-ZERO. I highly recommend this complex!
Ive lived in Park West for over a year and its turned out to be eventful. I moved here from another city and have to admit that I was skeptical since I moved here during the week of the Covid shutdown. I wasnt able to view my apt in person but went out on faith. Nevertheless, when I arrived to the apt., it was mostly what I expected.During my time here, Ive run into a few problems, but Property Manager Michelle, always reaches out o me personally to ensure that my problems are addressed. No matter who I send my concerns to, they are addressed within 24 hours. The maintenance request are usually always fulfilled within 24 hours, unless its placed on a weekend. Even then, theres an emergency line to call, in case it needs to be addressed immediately. Ive had several apartments and the maintenance team here, is BYFAR the most proactive and productive when they arrive. All of the young ladys that work in the office are very professional are all super friendly. They will recognize you by face, know your full name, and remember your exact apartment number whenever they see you in person, or via phone. Property Manager, Michelle Budz has done an AMAZING job with training her team to accommodate the needs of the residents. I am brutally honest and will address things that bother me whenever they arise. However, here, no matter how frustrating the obstacles (that can occur in any apt), the staff remains professional and has addressed any concerns Ive had with precision. This is the 1st time Ive ever written a review that wasnt intended to inform future residents, the things to BEWARE of. Trust me when I say, the staff here ALL receive 5 stars from me when it comes to professionalism, relatability, precision, promptness, and honesty. They are grateful for their residents and understand that Dallas has hundreds of other luxury apartments that would love to have your tenure. You definitely wont regret your decision to move into Park West Luxury Apts!
Moving during a pandemic is a lot but Jazmine at the front desk really took a lot off my plate. Cant say how awesome she is enough! Recommend you contact her if you are interested in moving
I just moved into my fabulous apartment home this past May and all I can say is WOW I LOVE living at Park West!!! Michelle and her wonderful staff are just amazing and treat me like Im a Rock Star!!The Maintenance requests are fulfilled quickly and efficiently!Michelle, Cherish, Jazmine, and Arturo care so much about everyones well being and go out of their way to make sure Im happy living here! Ive met so many nice people living here, its just a real fun place to live. I can think of no where else to live in Oak Lawn! Keep up the great work you guys and I look forward to the new upgrades that are coming our way soon.Thank You!!Mark BeelerDallas, Tx
I have lived at Park West for over three years and have always been impressed by the professionalism of both the Leasing and Maintenance staffs. They work hard to address concerns because they truly want all residents to have the best customer experience. They also take the time to listen and offer options that I may not even considered. The amenities are well maintained and being here feels like home and that’s a great feeling for me!!
My husband and I enjoyed living here for 2 years. The property is in a great location steps away from restaurants, bars, and Kroger. The Manager, Assistant Manager, and leasing staff are always friendly and willing to help. I would definitely recommend living here.
I’ve lived at the property since December 2019 and It has been the best experience, I’ve ever had with an apartment complex. To this present day, the leasing office and maintenance teams have been very helpful and tentative. They care about any issues or concerns you may have and they try their best to resolve them as swiftly as they can and for that, I can’t thank them enough. Both dog parks are well maintained and cleaned routinely. The property overall is maintained very well which makes living here even better. Thank you Park West Team!!
I have lived here for over three years, and so far I am happy with my stay. Location is perfect, and convenient. Office staff is friendly, and always willing to help. The amenities are amazing, for both my dog and I. Definitely the best apartments in Dallas for anyone who has a pet.
Ive lived here almost a year and have been really impressed with Park West. Location is great, building is well-maintained, the complex is super-dog friendly, and the staff are fantastic - responsive, friendly, and consistent. They dont just resolve issues, they listen to suggestions for improvements and use them. Definitely recommend!
Love Park West and all of the staff in the front office, they are always there to help. Jasmine is especially helpful and always is very attentive with me in all of my various questions and needs. A great place to live with your fur babies, definitely would recommend.
I’ve been at park west for almost 2 years and have enjoyed living here. The location is perfect, close to downtown and lots of restaurants and bars. I love my apartment and the amenities. It’s quiet for the most part. I rarely hear my neighbors. They’ve recently upgraded the entire complex with keyless entries so it’s really convenient. It’s very pet friendly which is a pro and a con because we all know not all dog owners pick up after their pets. But that’s no fault of the apartment. They’ve done a great job with keeping the place safe and secure with security on site each night. The staff is super responsive and they come up with fun activities like happy hours and whatnot. Overall I’m highly satisfied with my stay and would definitely recommend!
We love the dog park and dog pool! The staff is always very friendly and responsive :) The gym has a good variety of cardio equipment and free weights. The location is great: walkable to many restaurants, bars, and close to Katy Trail.
In the years I have lived here at Park West, I have enjoyed the staff, maintenance, and other personnel who work here. They are very helpful, polite, courteous, and friendly. I greatly appreciate all that they do and for going above and beyond to make sure that myself and family are taken care of as a whole.
Ive lived here for almost 2 years, and its by far the best experience Ive had in Dallas. The front office is incredibly accommodating and friendly, and the maintenance staff consistently goes above and beyond. Theyre constantly thinking of ways to improve the resident experience, and they manage to learn (and remember) everyone (and their dogs) names! Its the BEST complex in Dallas if you have a pup.
Park West has been my home for the last 2 years, the experience has been great! Friendly office staff and the maintenance team is awesome as well!
I have lived here for a little over 3 years and I love it. The 2 dog parks, dog spas, across the street from a grocery store, and next to night life(when the world fully opens up the bars again LOL). The staff here is amazing and is always helpful.
I have lived here two times, first in 2017-2018 and moved back Summer of 2019 due to the new management. The property has been the very best under the current leadership and I see the major difference, from attention to detail, maintenance response times and really over delivery during this pandemic. I love the gym, lounge, postal areas, dog park and well, the experience. I highly encourage anyone to consider living here and you can’t argue the great location.
I have loved every minute living at Park West. Their management team is so friendly and helpful, even during a pandemic they do their best to make sure their residents are happy. Im also super happy with our maintenance team. Weve only been living here for a short while but they are responsive and take care of problems quickly. On top of that, living in Oaklawn is so much fun, and I never have issues with feeling unsafe around our neighborhood. Extremely happy to be living here!
10/10. I have never left a review but felt I needed to. Management here is on point. I have not experienced loud neighbors . Kroger is walking distance . Gym is actually the biggest apartment gym I’ve ever seen. Only reason why I’m moving is to lessen my commute to work.
Ive lived here for several years and have been very impressed. The location is close to downtown & the DNT, and has several restaurants within walking distance - having a Kroger across the street is the cherry on top. The staff are very attentive, courteous, and helpful. The prices are also fair, considering the location & quality of the building (both itself & amenities). I highly recommend giving Park West a shot if it fits your location/budget.
Such a great place with Staff that actually seemed to care and did their best during this pandemic to make it all work. Fantastic location and the best closets and bathtubs!
I have thoroughly enjoyed my last 5 months staying at Park West considering the circumstances were in these days. I am so glad the gym is open again and Michele the manager and her whole team made that possible. The staff couldnt be more friendly or efficient. My apartment had one issue with the carpets when I moved in, but within a matter of a few days, both bedroom carpets were replaced. I look forward to the get togethers that were once planned in the community area.
My roommate and I were looking for an affordable apartment in oaklawn that met all our needs and Park West has exceeded all expectations! Our apartment is very nice and the apartment staff has not disappointed during our time here. We love it here!
I absolutely love living here. All the staff is always helpful and sweet. Super close to downtown and Kroger is right next door!
I’m halfway through my lease and I can confidently say - not only am I a happy resident, but I am highly inclined to renew my lease and stay another year. The facility itself is great, the gym is very extensive, the location is amazing and central to lots of things I enjoy; I am just overall very content with my experience so far. Like all complexes, there is the occasional rowdy neighbor, the occasional lingering smell of something funky in the hall or garage, or a random gas leak that causes a mandatory evacuation. Stuff happens EVERYWHERE. But - one key difference is - the staff here handles issues promptly, they are all extremely helpful, they are extraordinarily polite and cheerful, and are readily available always. Jazmin was the one who leased me my apartment; not only was she very communicative, she went out of her way to keep me up to date on every single step of the way. I called her WAY too many times, I was VERY inquisitive about details and admittedly a bit fussy, but she always took care of me and did it with a smile. Even now, I’m constantly pestering her with things and she never fails to answer my questions or deal with my issues. Charis has also been extremely polite and helpful when she is around and Jazmin isn’t. I always look forward to swinging by and just chatting with Charis or simply saying hello because she is just such a people person! Regardless of who is in the office, the staff is competent, respectful, and truly embody the notion of excellent customer service. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking in the area.
The town hall meetings that theyve started are super informative, it shows that they are listening to what the community is saying. Im happy that they got the media room TV to start working, especially for football season. The staff is super attentive and always try their best to get things taken care of around the community!
Honestly, THEE best apartment complex Ive lived at. Work orders were completed efficiently, staff was professional and just everything was amazing. Walking distance to a grocery store, nail spa and a sushi bar !!!! I wish I couldve stayed and renewed my lease but unfortunately I wasnt able to due to personal reasons but if I could give more than 5 stars I honestly would !!!!!!
This is a wonderful community! I am very pleased with the quality of my apartment and the grounds. It’s extremely dog friendly, with two dog parks (one featuring a dog pool!) and a dog wash station. All of the staff is very friendly as well. Highly recommend! 😊
Send out obnoxious review request everyday- Charis and other people writing great reviews are staff members pretending to be residents. This place is sad. It’s loud I can hear everything all my neighbors do, all the staff members are rude and stuck up. I actually don’t mind paying a good amount for quality living I love nice things, but the energy here is horrible and the management is poor.
*UPDATE since the below review. Still a horrible place to call home. There are dogs barking all around my apt. Jennifer McFadden the regional manager has not returned my calls or emails, in the last few months. Please consider another complex if you value what you’re paying for and proper communication.I just moved to the complex on 08/02/19 and Im totally not satisfied with my unit here. I truly expected more from the community. The quality, doesnt meet my rental rate and what was initially presented. My apartment flooring was filthy upon moving in, creaking/cracking tiles in the bathroom, damp older carpet in the bedroom upon moving in, some dusty/dirty areas within, I can hear my neighbor walking above me very clear and doesnt cool properly. If you want better quality for in the $1300/mo. price range for a one bedroom, look elsewhere. I hope this helps!
Very good location and amazing staff, highly recommended
We have had great interactions with both Jazmin and Charis. We’ve been here almost two years! We still consider Park West a great place to live :)
I recently moved out of ilume Park and while it may have its hiccups it was far from the terrible experience most of the reviews they have seem to show. The staff was always extremely friendly and helpful whenever I went in. I probably reached out more than the typical resident, so Im sure they got to know me and appreciated them not being annoyed with me as Ive experienced elsewhere. They were always willing to help and assisted with whatever I asked of them.My move in wasnt awesome as my apartment didnt seem to have been cleaned prior to move in, and getting someone up to clean it did present a bit of a challenge. Eventually I cleaned a bit before they had housekeeping come in and they also gave me a gift card to get my apartment professionally cleaned at some point in the future so that was great. As far as noise goes, the person above me was pretty heavy footed and made some ridiculously loud banging noises at the weirdest hours, but the office worked with me as much as they could to try and resolve it. With apartment living, hearing your neighbors to an extent is to be expected and the courtesy officer was always fast to respond to excessive situations. The apartment itself was great for the area and pricing as far as finish outs go. I had one of the smaller one bedrooms which personally I would not rent again but if I move back to the area I would definitely consider coming back for a larger one bedroom or two bedroom. The location is hard to beat in Oak Lawn and the common areas were really great although I honestly never used the pool. My main complaint would be the fact that they chose to have carpeting in the halls of a building dedicated to animals but they did a good job of cleaning things up quickly as accidents happened.Altogether I enjoyed my time here and would recommend it to anyone looking to live in Oak Lawn for a really convenient location and decently priced apartments. The girls in the office really are all so sweet and made living here that much better!
I love living at Park West! The location is perfect. You’re literally right in the middle of everything, which is exactly what I was looking for when finding a new place to live. Uptown, Downtown, Bishop Arts, Deep Ellum... you name it. Front office/Maintenance teams are great as well.
I have just finished my 4th year here, and I will be renewing for year #5. The staff is awesome - always friendly, accessible and responsive. Dogs rule here and there is a community garden if you want to grow something. And my three dogs give it a three paws up!!! 😍
Good if you have a dog - no breed restrictions. Large dog park
Oh, dont get me started. The reputation precedes all of us. Notorious for partying and playing, the complex has maintained its appearance and even improved parts of the facilities. Although it does need to be said, the overly protective staff at the front desk of the leasing office doesnt need to be as snooty as he was. I know its the ilume but the attitude is able to come down a notch or two.
The apartments are beautiful and the neighborhood is great, but I was visiting friends there last night, parked in visitor parking, and they towed my car. I was fully ready to call the leasing office today and try to sign a lease, but honestly with the $200 towing fee as a legitimate visitor in an mostly empty garage without consistent “register your car” signage, I won’t sign onto this nightmare. There were no signs where I parked and with you inconsistent emails about it, my friends didn’t mention it. Y’all lost a customer.
So far so good! I moved in a month ago and so far love the place. The staff is friendly, the location is convenient and the apartment is fairly nice as well.My only real complaint so far is that the walls are a little thin and there is a lot of noise in the hallway that comes through my bedroom wall.
Illume Park has fantastic amenities and the staff is always friendly, quick and informative. This property also makes is very easy for maintenance request, rent payment or questions. Its all online and are always handled very quickly. The interiors of the apartments are top quality with beautiful finishes and appliances. In addition to the gorgeous interior, the pool looks like your at a hotel. The gym is also beautifully crafted with top of the line equipment. I swear you would not need a gym membership because it has everything you would need. There is also plenty of parking and the building is very secure! You have to have a fob to get in and out of the building and Ive never felt unsafe.Lastly, one of my favorite parts about the ilume Park are the dog walking amenities. The ilume Park is very pet friendly and offers a wide variety of services for your furry-tailed friends.
So unhappy. The security here is very poor. My car has been broken into twice since Ive lived here. The doors to the building and garage are always broken so thats probably why. The cleanliness is terrible. There is always trash and stains on the carpet throughout the building. Dog poop everywhere. Alarms have been going off at random times during the night. One of which caused our neighbor to have emotional distress and led to her screaming and banging on the walls all night. We didnt get much of an apology except that they had fixed it, however after a couple of days it went off again. It is way over priced, especially for all this to be happening. Our lease is up in May and we cannot wait.
Lived here for a year. While the price is steep, you get what you pay for. Definitely felt at home in this community and taken care of by the staff. Great for pets. I am sad to leave but made good memories!
Living here is not great. We literally get an email that something is broken everyday and takes forever to fix it. Security is low, key dob doors have been broken: hallways often smell like dog because they send people to clean every five years! The aux in the gym doesn’t work nor fireplaces. This place is for show and tell I can spend 1400 a month on a one bedroom elsewhere!!! Hottub also has been broken since the end of time
This is honestly one of the worst places I’ve lived. The hottub has been broken since July 6th. I pay overpriced for these apartments and they state every week that the hottub will be fixed in a few days, yet here we are 5 MONTHS later and nothing. If I wanted to pay for an overpriced apartment I could do that anywhere. One of the main reasons I moved in was due to all the amenities and they are consistently broken.
Great place to live. Awesome leasing staff, quiet neighbors, and perfect location.
Ive been here for 2 years and I really love the new management. We have yappy hour, yoga, and wine nights back! We have the nicest and quickest maintenance. The fixed my door in 30 minutes and maintenance is very knowledgeable. They get new flowers out front monthly. The office staff is so pleasant. Ive never been greeted with a stiff tone, even when Im in a rush or have a bad day. Its so pleasant!! Its just the small things that really make a difference.
This was a great place to live until it was purchased by new owners, who have proceeded to run the place into the ground. I hope Venterras shareholders (Nicola Crosby Real Estate of Canada) are aware of the carnage and the damage their employees have created here. The only good thing they did was get rid of Crystal Sanchez.
Great Customer Service!I dont have any cell phone reception in my apartment room, so I couldnt use the internet, text, or call anyone! I was very upset about this so I asked the front desk if theres anything they could do to remedy this issue. The apartment front office called a few days later telling me they ordered a Cell Phone Hot Spot for me that would grab signals from the satellite into my apartment. Now, I get very strong signal on my phone. I appreciate the staff resolving my issue!
I went there today to view an apartment. The girl at the conceierge was extremely rude and unwilling to help out. She doesn’t know I called earlier in the week to find out availability and to see if there was a model to see. I was told there was one and it was a to bedroom. I knew that it wouldn’t give me a great idea in spacing but I wanted to see the finishes. I asked on the phone if it was ok to go on Saturday at 4:45. I said, “ I completely understand if that’s to late since y’all would be closing at five.” The lady in the phone told me not to worry about it and they will make sure I tour.... fast forward to today and the girl at the front was rude. Hateful. And overall a very upset person to see people walk in at 4:45. She told me that they can’t tour cause it’s closed down. She told me that she doesn’t want to show me the model because it’s shut down and it’s a two bedroom(which I already knew) I basically didn’t continue to waste my time and just told her we would leave. I won’t lease at a place where customer service is slacking.
When I first moved here it was an excellent place to live and had every amenity that you could want. Then they started letting the building go and everything needed repair. Then the new owners purchased it and it seemed like things would be better and maybe some things improved slightly for a bit, but all the amenities that we came to enjoy were taken away and things once again were always broken. The patio doors have needed painted for a couple of years and the urine and feces stained carpets in the halls are rarely cleaned. The office staff was very courteous after the new owners took over but most of them have already left. I had to move and break my lease due to my dads health in Oklahoma and I called to make arrangements to pay them since I will not be working much while taking care of my dad. Their offer was almost $1000 a month for 6 months which is not even trying to work with me. If I could pay that I would keep the apartment. So with all the choices you have in Dallas I wouldnt choose here. I remember when I moved there it was voted #3 out of the Top 10 new places to live in Dallas and I can guarantee its no longer that anymore.
The noise between floors is unbearable, dog urine and the smell of weed permeates the property, and there are beginning to be safety concerns both in and around the building. Theyve assembled a group of inexperienced kids to run the place and while they may be good at this someday, they simply arent ready for it yet. They lack communication skills and are very reactive about everything when being proactive would save everyone a lot of frustration. My one step plan for fixing this place would simply be to bring in a management company because what they have now is running the building straight into the ground. I never imagined that Id be leaving so soon when I first moved in but this was the worst experience Ive ever had with an apartment.
Great place to live and be active. Choice Training provides awesome fitness classes onsite. Im going to think going to get a personal trainer with them. Love living here!
I lived at ilume Park for 2 years and recently moved. . .I must say the community has gone down hill drastically overtime and especially since the new management assumed ownership. The new staff is very rude and unprofessional and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. When you tour and view the property everything looks good in the beginning, but if you live there you will know it is all facade. Dont fall for it run out if you can.
Worst decision ever made. Car has been broken into three times since July, multiple apartment break-ins, no security with a staff that does not care. They also lowered the rent on my unit by over $8,000 per year, brings in a whole new demographic and they will not lower mine. RENTER BEWARE....
Recently just had to move out of my apartment at this complex. Luckily, they offer a 30 day guarantee where if you dont love your apartment, you can break your lease and leave without having to pay extra fees (you still have to pay for that months lease). I really loved my apartment when I moved in. The exercise center and pool looks great when you first go on a tour at this property. And the price was a couple hundred bucks lower for a similar apartment in the uptown area.Im wishing I hadnt been cheap and just went with a nicer place...When I moved in, there were several factors that contributed to me having to break my lease. Im writing this review because I wish I was warned before I moved in. Ive had to move twice (in and out of these apartments) within the last month and it has been stressful, not to mention expensive.First - theres a cockroach problem. This was not evident upon move-in at all, but the first night I spent in these apartments, I woke up at 3am to a huge cockroach above my bed. They were also in the kitchen and bathroom. I think they are in the water lines/sewer system. The building smells of trash and when you go to the trash chute room, people just throw their trash bags into the room - so I think that contributes to the issue.I sent an email to the apartment complex, and no one really contacted me to fix the issue at first. I went in and talked to someone, showed them a picture of what I was dealing with, and she just replied, oh, thats a water bug, which kind of makes it not seem like a big deal, but to me it is.In the subsequent weeks, I found about 2 cockroaches+ a day, crawling over my things and also in the dishwasher, so I couldnt really use that either.Basically, they eventually did get the Orkin people to come spray, but by that point, I was ready to leave. The maintenance manager also spoke to me and told me that everyone in apartments deals with cockroaches, which is not true. The apartments I moved out of, and moved back into actually, never had a cockroach problem! I literally have never seen a cockroach at my other apartment in 2 years of living there.Issue number 2 was that the walls are super thin. I woke up at 1am to my upstairs neighbor chanting, stomping, and clapping, while saying Thank you Jesus, Hallelujah. Not really how I want to spend my nights before a big day at work.Issue number 3 was that some of the cardio equipment doesnt even work at the gym. And the 2 treadmills are almost always taken. Not a huge deal, but if you are expecting to use the gym there, you have to go at non-peak times or find other arrangements.Hope that review helps out those that are looking for apartments in the uptown area.
Wonderful community and great management team!
We recently got new management and almost everything has been downhill from there. The dog park is not cleaned anymore, in fact piles of trash bags and/or dog crap would be piled constantly, CARS & APTS have been getting broken into (thanks to their GENIUS idea to get rid of our security), the fire alarms have been sporadically going off every week, homeless people have been found walking around in our supposedly secure housing area that should be locked, the parking garage door was broken for at least a month so anyone was able to get in, the list goes on...DO NOT MOVE HERE! Everyone is leaving due to EXTREMELY POOR MANAGEMENT! Weve expressed our concerns a billion times and management has told us to just move so they dont have to deal with our complaints. They are selling dreams but not fulfilling. Besides that...the apts look nice if that still matters.
I have been living here since 3 years, its used to be a wonderful place to live but now since few months new staff and new company took overI wouldnt recommend this place to liveFirst of all floor smells really bad, its really embarrassing when u have guest over and they tell you, this place stinkAll the floor and very bad smellSecond every time u wanna use computer downstairs first you have to give them your ID then they give you keyboard and mouse then these computers never worksThen you tell the staff they have bad attitude, not the old staff, new staffOverall i started to hate this place.
Nice, clean place. Pet friendly.
Great Residential spot for animal lovers. Great location close to Downtown Dallas. Conveniently located next to many restaurants, parks, shopping, and grocery store.
Great location with easy access to pet park, restaurants, and downtown for work!
So I waited quite a while before posting a review. I wanted to have enough experience living here to give an honest review of what your time here may be like. I just renewed my lease for another year. I moved in October 2017 and I have absolutely loved it. Get ready for a long one. Is it 100% perfect all the time? No. But nothing ever is. Few of the highlights over the last 9.5 months: Jazmin in leasing is incredible. Seriously. Shes amazing. Always smiling. Remembers names (which really makes ya feel home, ya know?) She was the first person I saw at Ilume Park and I swear shes always there. All the others in the office are great, too! I just havent had as many interactions with them. They respond to email pretty darn fast if you have a question or concern. The dog park is amazing. Big enough to give the pups some great running room without being so big you completely lose sight of them (and where they go). Some residents dont pick up after their furry kids, but thats not the apartments fault. Theyve become more strict on it, though, and thats helped. Plus they provide the baggies, so theres really no excuse. The self serve grooming salon is so convenient. No more back aches from doing it myself in the tub. Fitness center is pretty great - they have all the normal stuff plus a bit more. The hallway carpets do need to be cleaned more than they are...especially considering its such a dog friendly complex, but hey, if thats my biggest complaint (which it is), I think Ill live. My apartment itself is lovely. I love the white/gray/black color scheme. I love my open floor plan. I get compliments from everyone. I love my giant tub and my closet bigger than Harry Potters cupboard. I wish I had a storage closet of somesort in my unit, but ya win some and ya lose some. I have never seen a bug in my apartment. Yes, noise levels can get loud, especially nights and weekends. My neighbors are pretty great, but outside noise happens. Its Oak Lawn. Theres quite a bit of night life around and a firehouse down the street. I honestly dont even hear it anymore. The location is crazy convenient. Walking across the street to Kroger is amazing. One time I forgot an ingredient for dinner and Im not kidding I went to Kroger, got what I needed, and was back in 4 minutes. Not to mention my nail salon down the street and the numerous restaurants in walking distance (plus walking burns off some of the calories youre about to consume AND you dont have to worry about parking or valeting). Harry in maintenance is AMAZING. I put in a work order to get the light inside my oven fixed and it was done in a day. The maintenance team is super fast and efficient and always stops to give my pups some love. Parking isnt bad. You (aim) to park on the floor you live on. I live on the 2nd floor, and we have a handfull of spots that are wasted on bike poles that arent even used (okay maybe thats my biggest complaint cause its hella frustrating), but if I get home before 8 or so I still park on the 2nd floor. Worst case scenario, I park on the 3rd or 4th and take the stairs or elevator down. But hey, its covered parking and you dont pay extra (unless you want an assigned spot). Packages that dont fit in a mail box are in 24 hour lockers that are free as long as you get your stuff within 48 hours. Pretty convenient unless youre out of town. It is really annoying to be forced into paying $30 a month for valet trash (used to be $25, but went up with the new lease), especially when I literally pass the trash chute to go to my car. Seems like a lot to pay for a service I honestly dont want. Rent is spot on with the area and considering what youre getting. (Did I mention my apartment is beautiful?) All in all, I really enjoy living here. Enough so to renew my lease for the first time in 6 years. If youre going back and forth on this place, just go for it. You wont regret it.
Just moved here and love it also a great gym for training NewBody Fitness Inc
Nice place, nice pool, nice apartments but to expensive
Good service. Poor Construction
Great place for dogs! Loud complex and an ever changing staff makes for a poorly run apartment.
Dog sitting for a friend. Most conveniently located apt building in oak lawn.
Nice place to stay.
Be careful complaining about these people as it appears the employees will misuse your personal information!!!!!
Clean Place. Staff could use some training on how to be friendly to folks.
Complex building close to the some restaurant and grocery store
