Please believe all of the negative reviews you have read for this property because they are very much true. I moved here in March of this year and have experienced numerous plumbing issues. Repairs are not addressed in a timely manner if they are at all. There was mold in my hall closet for over 3 months from a water leak above my apartment and was only repaired until after I constantly went to the office to complain and even had to send a 7-Day Demand letter. I just received the bottom draws for my refrigerator last month after asking a maintenance guy directly and they still have not fixed my balcony door which does not open due to the old building shifting. I have included a photo and videos just so you can see the issues that have still not been repaired including the mold under my bathroom sink. I too am in the process of terminating my lease early due to them not honoring repair request in a timely manner. As residents we should not have to constantly be given the run around on repair issues when they never seem to have a problem asking for rent to be paid on time. They will of course leave a general response apologizing after I leave my review but trust me they will not complete any repairs. ***First video was taken in May of water seeping in from under the balcony door when it rains. Second video is from June. This has occurred several times in which I have provided them with picture and video. Of course this has not been repaired and I have to be on the look out each time it rains to ensure none of my valuables are not damaged*** Picture of mold was taken two weeks ago and a maintenance request was created but of course this issue is still not repaired nor has it been addressed***

Hey Y’all! Currently a resident and hate it here. I know it looks nice and it’s by the Galleria but it’s a set up. Alright, let’s start, the garage is so small there is minimal parking. People steal from cars and you can barely get on the 2-5 floors without a possible car accident. Also, living in the courtyard is noisy. They are always shutting the water off and sometimes without notices. They fire alarm has gone off numerous of times and I currently have a 3mth old. They don’t answer the phone andmaintenance is not the best at responding to orders. Also our unit doesn’t have a draft hood which easily triggers the fire alarm. On the other hand, the floor plans are a nice size and the pricing isn’t to outrageous. The corner balconies are cool to have. And the amenities are upgraded and a nice gym.

I lived here from December 2015 to March 2021. I saw a ton of stuff, folks.I gave this place a 3/5 because the value was hard to beat. The larger-than-average apartments, garage connected to the building, and great location for very reasonable rent kept me there for so many years. Valiant, the property management company at the time I left, seemed to be one of the better companies to take over the property. This complex also did not lose water during the snowstorm, and I lost power for only 2 hours. I was very grateful for that. The onsite maintenance staff were always very nice too. However, the good deal did come with sacrifices. My unit flooded twice in six months in 2020, the management company changed at least 4 times over 5 years, the front office staff were a revolving door, the garage spaces were small (my car doors are covered in dings and scratches), my dishwasher left rust particles on my dishes, etc. The fire alarms went off in the dead of night several times as well. Even though my unit ONLY flooded twice, there were several more floods in different areas of the complex. Judging the cracks in the ceiling around my unit, I expected more floods in the future. That was probably the reason the water randomly got shut off, too. I could write much more, but I think the point has been made. The conclusion is that there is a reason rent is low. I was reasonably happy while living here, but I could not handle the floods and how the apartment was repaired after them.

I have had poor experiences with the employees in the office, however, would just like to say that Brandy is amazing. I had an issue getting my car out of the parking space due to another car blocking it, and I was at my wits end trying to back out of the spot without hitting the other car. I went to the office to see if someone could call the car owner to move their car, and Brandy was more than willing to help with my predicament. Brandy was extremely personable, kind and determined when helped me retrieve my car out of the space. She even went the extra mile to inspect my car in the garage and assisted me in backing out! Thank you Brandy!!

Current resident, been here for 2+ years. I really used to like living here. Great location and old management was wonderful (shoutout to Carlos, we miss you) but I might be looking to terminate my lease soon. Living here is getting ridiculous and near unlivable. Every day it’s something different. Issues started when the building changed ownership to Valiant Residential. The staff in the leasing office are great and helpful, but the property manager position has cycled through a few different people so nobody sticks around long enough to care. These are recent issues: Labor Day weekend, we had days of unresolved plumbing issues and terrible water pressure. This past Monday evening, it was a power outage for 5 hours. This morning, the fire alarms went off for almost 3 hours straight (no emergency). Residents were given no advance notification to plan around maintenance, only a “sorry we get it but please be patient while we try to fix it” type email. The plumbing and fire alarms are an ongoing issue. Normally when a property changes hands, I get that there’s a learning curve for managing a new property— but it’s been over a year now and this is a biweekly issue. Other residents feel the same. There is no consistency. Communication before planned maintenance absolutely sucks.TLDR: Valiant residential management sucks and they’re playing hot potato with this property. If you seek consistency or are looking for a peaceful place to work from home, do NOT live here.

I love the Chelsea! Maria is the person that helped me during my transition to this apartment complex. She is the best!! Super attentive, charismatic and responsible with her job. She was always checking if we needed anything or had any questions or concerns. We were able to get the apartment sooner than expected due to her efficiency. The apartments are located in a great area close to Galleria mall and Addison. Highly recommended.

I hate it here. The previous management company was bad, but the new people are even worse. Neighbors are inconsiderate, someone stole my package and my doormat! Parking spots are way too tight. When Maria was dealing with our account I felt pretty confident, but soon after we signed our lease she left her position. I called and spoke with a manager about my lease, who then stated she couldnt find my information and would call me back. NEVER called back, this was scary since it was less than a week for us to move in. We just wen to the office in person and spoke to a man (another new person) who was able to address some of our concerns. I started to feel a little bit at ease until today when I received 3 notifications for the PREVIOUS resident from the Chelsea. This is just totally unprofessional, the notices were addressed to my husband and I but clearly stating that the previous residents couldnt make their payments due to covid and requesting a payment plan. Im just floored honestly and Im giving this place a 3 until we officially move in, but so far its a bad start and I wont be recommending to anyone.Update: Its move in day and housecleaning is still getting the apartment ready? We were told wed have updated appliances and we dont have them either. We asked for a washer and dryer a month in advance and still dont have that. While the employee is telling us this hes not apologetic or caring in ANY WAY. This is the poorest customer service Ive ever had at an apartment complex in my life. Currently looking up our legal rights to void this contract. Its seriously that bad and we havent even fully moved in yet.Update 2: The current manager has acted to remedy some of these issues. Its appreciated, but Ill continue to update through my time here.

Her attitude was horrible and make everyone around her frustrated and upset. After 20 minutes going around with the same questions they told me they have no records of a contract that is not even 12 months since moved out. They told me thatthey will play with the system and call me if they find anything. I did follow up today by phone 3 times but phone was never answered.Horrible office staff, unprofessional, rude, lock of knowledge and unfriendly.

As a resident living here for over a year, I must say I am very disappointed with this property. To start, the turnover with the staff is high. They cannot keep a manager, and the temps/help from other properties provide misleading information.Security is a joke. I find it funny that every entrance to the building in the garage has key fob access, but none of them work except for the ones on the first floor (Please explain why when responding to this review). They say towing is enforced, but that is a joke too. I called DFW tows to have a car towed, and they could not even get in the gate to tow it. That comes to show, they do not make rounds to see if people are violating the parking policy. As for maintenance and housekeeping, I can say maintenance turn around time is good, but housekeeping is terrible. The breeze ways are always dirty, several light bulbs are out, and a lot of the walls have splatter and markings on them that need to be wiped off. Several residents litter in the parking garage and stair well too. The water is turned off on average 2x a month for about 2 hours.Lastly, rules and policy are not enforced here. Staff is quick to send an email about giving out lease violations, but that is scare tactic. For example, valet trash pickup is Sunday – Thursday after 7PM. Trash should not be placed outside your door until then on those operating days. The residents that live here are not compliant, the office said they will be walking the halls to make sure rules are being followed. Well guess what? They don’t.What needs to be done, is tack on fees to their rent each time the rule is broken. With all the new communities they are building in this area, you would think they would do whatever it takes to keep tenants happy, and the property beautiful, but from what I’ve seen, they do not care.

I scheduled a tour for this location two weeks ago. I drove for about an hour to get there because I was looking to possibly move here due to a recommendation from someone. When I arrived, I was confused on where I should park because all of the parking for this location is in the garage. I called the office to let them know I was there for my tour and was told that I needed to park on the first level. I let her know there wasnt any spaces to park. I was told that I would have to wait for someone to leave before I could park. I had a 10:00 am touring appointment. They didnt know that I drove in for an hour just for this tour and a tour at two other places. I took that as a sign that this was not the location for me. If I am having issues just taking a tour of the facility, that is not a good start or great customer experience.

To think, there was once a point when I actually enjoyed living at The Chelsea but that has all but faded into a distant memory. Now, their only saving grace is Jamaka, the regional manager. Youll still have problems at this complex but shell help make sure things are taken care of in a timely fashion and actually communicate things with you. So if you have a problem, wait until shes in the office to handle the issue if its not super urgent. If shes not there, make friends with your neighbors so you can keep up with issues otherwise, you may not be informed, even if its your own apartment that has the issue.

Ive lived at The Chelsea for two years and have had such a pleasant experience. Its located right between Montfort and the tollway so theres easy access to everything, but since Southern Blvd doesnt get much traffic its more private than a lot of the surrounding apartment complexes. The units use the space really well, making everything feel more open and as if theres an extra 100 square feet of space.Desiree was incredibly helpful with my initial lease and recently switching to a 2-bedroom. She answered all of my questions and did an awesome job making the process smooth and stress-free. Ive had similar experiences with every staff member here and the manager, Carlos, is not the stereotypical landlord. You can tell he cares about his tenants and their overall happiness with their living situation.

I lived here for 2 years. The first year was great! The management team was amazing. Then they changed management right after renewing my lease. These people were mediocre at best. We were charged, multiple times, random fees that we had to contest. That is constant issues with the garage being broken resulting in theft, no parking for guests, and the constantly dirty hallways were night to make us not renew. They tried to charge $140 for the carpet shrinking at move out, despite the fact that that is an issue with the carpet being improperly placed. Thank God my roommate was working in property preservation, so she knew what facts to remind them of, and they removed the charge. Apparently they have changed management again. There are too many apartments in the area that are nicer and have better everything, so don’t move in here.

Drainage problems, youll take a shower and bath to your ankles at the same time. Clogged toilets 1-2 times a month. Rates are way too high for what you get there are many brand new complexes in close range for the same $$$ if not less. To top it all off theyve just re-striped the parking lot which was already mainly for smart cars, mini coopers and fiat 500 and made them even smaller by adding 2 more parking spots...you can count them since the old lines are still visible underneath. Were very lucky that we have a little more then a month left on our contract because we cant wait to move.

UPDATE:NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Safety protocols are non-existent. Even the front door to the building does not work. Water is turned off without warning at least 3 times a month and management never has a clue. Nothing is said if parcel pending is down. Unless there is a tour on your floor, the hallways are not cleaned.Pass on this one! If you decided to live here - GOOD LUCK!I looked at so many apartments when i moved to Dallas and I thought this would be a good fit being near the Tollway. - The only good thing is the apartments themselves are nice but that is all. The dog park is very small and always smells like urine. There is really no where to walk your dog.The parking garage is a mess and you have to get reserved parking (additional fee) to park on your floor.Safety - good luck with that! Get your own! The door from the garage dont lock and/or the other residents use rocks to prop them open so all sorts of interesting individuals come in and out at all hours. The door to the leasing office hasnt worked in months. The water situation here is ridiculous as there are constant issues with maintenance turning off water without notice. The elevators just FINALLY got inspected after who knows how long. The fitness center is a joke as most of the equipment has been stolen or is broken. The pool gets maybe an hour or two of sun due to it being in a courtyard area along with huge trees. The owner of the building doesnt even live in Texas. ALL requests have to go through him to spend a dime. We are on the 3rd management company since I have lived here in less than a year. The owner has no desire to make this a nice place - he lives in Cali and is simply taking your money.Go elsewhere and get better for your buck! I plan to!

Never got any other mail to our new addresses before getting this collections notice. We always paid everything on time there. This was just a cherry on top to the nightmare of this apt. complex. I thought I was able to forever forget about how awful it was living there when I moved out 3 months ago but apparently they’re like the ghost of Christmas past.To start, my roommate and I both had reserved parking spots and both got towed out of our own reserved spots. The entire time we lived there we could hear every elephant step of the neighbors above us and music they blared. I complained multiple times and was basically told you’re SOL. Michelle told me it’s because there’s not concrete between the floors. Sounds like a great and safe structure. The parking garage gate was broken for about half of the time we lived there making it accessible for anyone to walk in.Moral of the story, live somewhere else and don’t waste your money.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone for any reason. Constantly switching management and then unable to resolve any issues that were carried over from the previous management. Paid to live in a gated/secured community, but the gate was hardly ever closed or operating properly as well as doors to gain entrance to the building were unlocked even without having a fob. Had multiple problems with the A/C. I work nights and therefore slept during the day and maintenance assured me that my air conditioner worked properly but that it was just “too hot outside” when I would wake up sweating in the Texas summer heat, and recommended that I use a fan (no ceiling fans). Constantly shut off water throughout the property for “maintenance” with no advanced notice. The final kicker: I paid “month to month” my last two months as I did not give 60 day notice (my fault) and paid everything and thought I was out of there and never had to deal with this poor excuse of an establishment. WRONG! They sent a notice to collections stating that I owe $4,000 in “fees”. These “fees” were explained to me simply as “fees for renting month to month” and I was told “that’s why most people don’t do month to month”, as if that was my preference. This place is a joke. Poor poor management. Unorganized, unprofessional and quite frankly disrespectful. Would definitely give negative stars if that were an option.

I love Michael and Noel and Michelle are very attentive and answer service requests timely, the staff here is very friendly and takes good care of the grounds considering how messy some tenants can be. the dog park was an issue for a few months but Michelle and her team put a plan in place and executed the plan very well, their are now cameras catching the irresponsible dog owners whom decide not to pick up their dogs feces and also those who allow their dog to jump the wall into the park are finally being fined. the parking can be a little tricky but it is not as bad as some of these reviews would lead you to believe. If you have a huge car or truck and try to park in a tiny compact car spot and your car gets damaged, whos fault is that, dummy! Lets see what else - I have lived here for almost a year and will be renewing my lease. I love my neighbors and we all have a great time hanging by the pool and cooking out together when we can. The only knock in the pool area is the grill. It really needs to be replaced and be hard wired to natural gas instead of propane, but hey if thats all I have to complain about thats not much. Did I mention MICHAEL (the fat guy, some ugly person called him that) is the most attentive and awesome leasing consultant (inside joke) you could ask for. Noel is an amazing Assistant and takes all of her calls and duties seriously and responds to requests immediately. Michelle (WOW) what an inspirational leader she has shown herself to be. The way she strategically makes decisions and tactfully responds to requests is awesome. I have seen her pull her team in and get them focused on the weeks tasks and execute, execute, execute!!! Were also not allowed to have German shepherds and Ive seen plenty of those recently that live in the apartments. And I have gone into the office multiple times to complain about a motorcycle parked inside the gate with no parking sticker taking up a big spot for the last 2 months that still hasnt been taken care of, but they sure are quick to tow people who have stickers cars. You cannot buzz them in through the gate nor through your garage floor. There is only one designated area where guests can come through and visitor parking before the gate is always usually full.I do think the maintenance staff is great. When I put my requests they fix things in a timely matter.I thankfully was able to rent one of the new renovated apartments. I enjoyed the upgrades but the apartment was falsely advertised as a wood floor apartment. It ended up being a carpet. The office team is always receptive of any matters I may need to discuss no matter who is there. Everyone that works here has become more of a friend. I often go into the leasing office just to say hi and chat or grab a coffee! I dont currently have any issues with my apartment or the grounds but anything in the past was addressed in a timely fashion. Parking may be tight on your particular garage floor of your apartment but spaces are plentiful and there are stairways/elevators to make getting around easier. I enjoy the safety of the gated community and the keyfob access to the floors. I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone.

The management here is really irresponsible, unprofessional and unethical. Im gonna adding up my bad experience with them in this reviews in the future and am probably gonna create a place(a facebook page or something) where current residents will be able to share their experience.1) Not actively replying emails or responding residents request. Even when I physically visited their office, Lady was the only person in the office and she said she didnt know the exact answer and might need ask her manager about that. I asked her to tell her manager to answer my questions the next day. Nothing happened the next day. And I had to visit their office in person again. The funny thing is that: Lady actually didnt have to ask her manager to answer my question, so she was just not willing to help anyway!2) I moved from outside Texas and really didnt know that the practice in Texas is that I should notify them before moving out. And I assumed that I only needed to notice them if I move out early. That was my fault to begin with. But the management here really asked NOTHING if I want to move out or extend my lease 60 days prior to my lease end. They just assumed that all the residents are willing to pay for their poor management at their highest prices (month to month rent is about 50% higher than their monthly rate for 1 year contract). Lady even explicitly said that over a phone call that they just dont notify people about that. Of course they dont residents people when they can rip off money from them. I actually DID receive notice from them when I left my carpet on the patio and they said I was not allowed to put my stuff on patio or I would get fined(this claim is absurd too). So they DID send residents notices if they could get money from you.3) One Smoke alarm outside the laundry room went off in a midnight. We tried to reach out to their people, and turned out they didnt even have an on call person to receive our calls. We decided to remove the battery of that alarm and emailed the management. And as expected, they never followup on that email either. I knew nothing about why it went off until I met with one of their staff in person. There are more to come. If you want to live here, get ready to take the risks.

Extremely unprofessional. I overheard the manager ask another tenant if he was a drug dealer, (presumably because he was a young African American male who drove a really nice car) the man replied no offensively. The manager then went on to ask this man if he knew where she could find white around here the man got offended again and began to raise his voice and the manager tried to quiet him down. I found the content of this conversation by no means appropriate and speaks volumes about her character.Parking is a nightmare. The units are nice however.

Amazing place to liveI have been living here for almost 4 years and I have never have a single issue. Management and staff are always helpful and in the best disposition and attitude to resolve any issue that you may have. And for the people who complain about this place: if you are mad for being charged late rent, just pay on time. If you are mad for getting your car towed, just dont park it where is not allowed to park. I also love the location, you can literally uber everywhere and there are so many places to eat around. Also the people in the leasing office are the best, Noelle has always the best attitude and she is very sweet and helpful, Michael and Michelle are always nice and are always available for any doubt that you may have. They all go out of their way to help us residents.

Just my opinion from my experience living here: This place is a death trap, so beware. The only way to access the dog park is through the parking garage vehicle entrance, which means you literally walk into oncoming traffic every time you take your dog out. Its especially dangerous after dark since you must leave the property to enter the dog park, which is ridiculously tiny. The perimeter of the building is a grassy area, which would be perfect for pets...except that management has hired contractors to make the doors accessing this area inoperable. Also, should be noted that all of these exit doors are not functioning, which is concerning in the event of a fire.Another safety concern - the garage gate and restricted access entrances have been open/unlocked for months now, so anyone can enter the property. And apparently the surveillance cameras in the parking garage are just for show because there was no video to review when my friends car was damaged in a hit-and-run incident while parked in the visitors area.Parking is TERRIBLE. I was encouraged to park across the street in the office building lot. The pool is nice, when its open and not being repaired. To receive packages, you have to sign up with some third-party company. The upgraded units are nice and the location is great.Management is less than helpful. IF they respond at all, expect them to be extremely rude. It took me three months and two calls to the corporate office to resolve my issue. I was charged $75 for paying rent late, despite the fact that it was NOT late (paid electronically and timestamped), I was still penalized. If your lease includes concessions, youre making a deal with the devil.

I went in today to get some information since my lease is about to be up and these apartments are right next to my job. The gentleman sitting there already looked like he didnt want to help me. Before saying anything else he asked when Im looking at moving and what my budget is. I told him and he says, yea we dont have anything in that price range EVEN THOUGH the website says different. I know this is very common with apartments to not have even close to their price range listed so no big deal. At this point Im surprised at how little he is saying (also never gave me any kind of brochure like most places would.) I ask,ok what do you have available and what is the price. He tells me as if I cant afford it. It was only a few hundred dollars more. I was so offended because 1. I can afford it! I am trying to save for a house so I was looking at spending a little less than what I am paying now. And 2. This was the most flamboyant gay guy. He of all people should know what it is like to be judged. Sorry Im not as uppity as the people I saw living the but thats DOES NOT MEAN I DONT HAVE MONEY. Very arrogant.

Whoever Rosa is in the leasing office is the WORST customer service representative I have ever come into contact with. She spoke to me like I was trash. She is completely and totally unprofessional. This apartment complex has switched management companies 3 times since I have been there and its just gone downhill. DO NOT RENT HERE. You will regret it.

I hate writing reviews, especially a bad one about anyone or any establishment, but after everything that’s happened to me recently I feel I need to share my experience.A little back story, I have been a resident here for many years, back when it used to be called Southern Villas. I have lived here four different times: 2009, 2011, 2013 & 2015-2019. Even after I leave here and move elsewhere, I would always come back. I’ve seen different management companies come and go throughout the years. I have no complaint about any of them, except this last one, The Tipton Group. Sure, I’ve had my frustrations with previous management before this, but none is as bad as this one.First, they’ve never introduced themselves to any of the residents here, extremely grumpy/rude and always looking unhappy and too busy whenever you approach them in the office or just passing by. And for the record, I’m not the only resident who feels this way about them.My move-out date from my recent unit was in March 2019, I tried to make an appointment with the Manager to do a walk through with me so that I won’t see any surprise charges on my final statement, however, I was told she’s too busy every time. Needless to say, there were charges on there that was out of my control that was repaired poorly by previous maintenance people that I disputed. It took them four weeks to look into this matter, which I am still not satisfied with the outcome. And the four weeks involved me having to drop by the office during my lunch break and leaving work early to catch the Manager before she leaves the office, because every time I call, she’s “busy”.So, with the revised statement, comes with additional surprise charges for water/trash/sewer - with no explanation on the dates etc. (which were not on the pervious statement I originally disputed). So again, I disputed the revised statement via email because at this point, I want everything in writing. Three days later, still no response. I called and was told it was in the junk mail, they never read it. I was told over the phone they’ll look into it and get back to me by end of week. I called again this morning (end of week), and they are still working on it and once they hear back from Accounting I’ll receive a check. Mind you, this whole time the Manager would not speak to me, she’s having other people relate these messages to me while I’m waiting on the phone. And I don’t just want a check, at this point, I’d like to see the details of everything because I don’t trust what’s being done/charged on my account.I understand she’s busy, but so am I. I shouldn’t have to keep coming over and calling and emailing, and not once have they replied or respond to my emails to tell me they received it and is looking into it or still waiting for Accounting to get back. Not one time. This is not how you treat a loyal resident who’s lived here for several years, and a responsible resident at that! I’ve been more than patient with them regarding this matter, it’s been nearly two months. In addition, parking garage is horrible. The spaces are extremely small and not very lit. The staircases are always dirty, I don’t think it gets cleaned as often as it should. Other than that, the grounds are well kept, maintenance staff have always been friendly and previous management staff prior to Tipton Group.

Current resident: Do not move here. List of reasons why below:1) Smelled like animals/chemical when we first moved in.2) Came a day early to walk through apartment and keys were not ready. Came back the morning of move early (as we requested) and rudely turned away until opening time. Still could not get key without some special renters insurance page despite asking already if really needed.3) Front office says one thing, does/emails another with almost every issue. Called one day about an email received. Told to ignore emails by Noelle. Got another email the next day saying it was not done and only had 48 hours before being charged a fee each month.4) $5 parcel service charged each month with charges three days if package not picked up.5) Water-logged corridors on the first floor after rain near area with chess-board6) Dark park near trash bins.7) Elevator stops after 4th floor despite 6 floors of apartments.8) Only one door to balcony opens.9) Row of apartments that borders the Brownstone apartment has constant noise from 10-12 AC units outside.10) Tall cupboard in kitchen has chord from built-in microwave taking up space.I may update if any other issue noted. DO not wish for reply from management and/or office. Only wish to see improvements in future services and actions.

The only thing good about the Chelsea is the location! The community was well over due for an upgrade so changes have finally been made recently! The apartment itself is still very basic. The appliances are white unless you have an upgraded apartment. Staff is somewhat of a revolving door. The current manager, Michelle, needs a lesson in customer service!! She isnt the most pleasant person to speak to! However, Christopher, the assistant manager, is a lot friendlier. Rachel, the leasing agent, has her days when you think she may have woken up on the wrong side of the bed, but shes nice for the most part. Please be aware that the parking garage was not constructed in the most ideal way!! Only one car can pass the corner at one time so the other car will have to wait or try to go and pray that both cars dont hit each other. Also, most of the parking spaces are compact only so it may be a tight squeeze trying to park. Ive seen car doors scratched plenty of times from car doors opening in such a tight parking space. This community definitely tows!! Southwest Tow frequently comes out and tows cars, even cars that belong to the resident so make sure your tires dont land on the white line or cross over into the next parking space. The office doesnt care if youre a resident and your car gets towed! You will not be reimbursed! The water pressure sucks! You can turn the water on full blast and youll barely get anything. The fire alarms go off all hours of the night and without warning from the staff. After the first few times, it was okay but now its starting to get ridiculous. Consider moving to another apartment if youre looking for all of the bells and whistles of a new apartment community. For the same price, you can find something a lot better!! I would not recommend this place and will be moving out as soon as my lease expires!

Super unprofessional management! My son and I were looking for an apartment for my retired mother to move into from another state. Michael took her $400 up front, then asked for picture ID, etc. Some lady named Micheele called me and said she did a FACEBOOK search and that my mothers ID didnt match Facebook!! Then she proceeded to call the apt locator we have both used for years and told them that we were scamming them! My mother nor I have ever met this Facebook inspector Michelle before so how could she say she wasnt whom her ID is anyway? Pretty sure thats not even legal.Long story short, they looked like idiots in the end, and we were saved from what probably wouldve been a disaster!!!Advice for upper management - dont run your business through social media. Thats embarrassing for you

DFW Towing contracted by Chelsea on Southern. This place has poor business practices. It’s unethical. Someone described it best w the term ‘predatory.’ My guests car was towed tht was parked in a designated place, with a guest pass. The pass which is poorly made had fallen from the mirror; however it was clearly on the console when we went to pick up the vehicle. They provided pictures of the dash as proof tht they ‘didn’t see it’.’ It was obvious tht he conveniently took photos at angles tht would not include the pass. I’ve seen this tow guy regularly, his routine is walking around cars as he kills his lungs w cigs. He saw the pass on the console of this small vehicle, w no tent, and big windows. o and their.defense was ‘ it’s not our place to dig through ur car” Excuse me lady looking through a window is not digging. It’s your job.I respect an honest man doing his job but that was not the case here. I further lost respect for the apartment Chelsea on Southern for contracting with people w no moral compass.

1. Lived here 5+yrs & cant wait for the lease to be up! The savings I make in rent no longer out weigh the service issues. Current management is great on paper, they say the right things (most of the time) but dont deliver.2. My A/C system has had issues for close to two years. Per their last maintenance manager, theres a leak but each time it malfunctions they add Freon and loan me a window unit, then promise to be back to fix it permanently. This cycle has repeated itself more than 5 times! Still no permanent fix in this Texas heat! Hopefully the freon doesnt run out anytime soon.3. My car was towed while parked where it was authorized to. When my husband contacted management, they automatically assumed we were in the wrong. They were unhelpful in contacting the tow company or verifying a mistake had been made. Resolution with the tow company took 5hours and a missed day of work but no follow up from management.4. Ive contacted their corporate HQ several times with concerns, Im yet to get a call or email back.5. Parking is an absolute NIGHTMARE unless you have one of the VERY few paid spots. Its made much worse if you get home anytime after 5pm! It almost makes more sense to remove their parking stickers and just use guest parking!6. It took 2+weeks to fix the security gate after it had been damaged. Seeing as thered been break-ins prior to that, it was not reassuring.7. Theyve previously put up some unprofessional signage e.g threatening repercussions after someone allegedly walked on wet paint & inconvenienced them. I emailed a picture of the sign to management. Their response?: the sign is down now that the paint is dry. No acknowledgment or apology.8. Gym equipment issues e.g TV system with Wellbeats workout programs, barely works. Sometimes the audio doesnt come on, other times the video doesnt turn on etc which gets frustrating. It isnt necessarily a deal breaker but it became more frustrating when I asked to sign out some dumbbells and was shut down without taking these factors into account. The straw that broke the camels back so to speak.

Ive been a resident for 8 yrs!PROS:1) Gated community w/ fob/clicker access only2)Exceptional closet space3)Friendly neighborsCONS:1) Occasionally loud neighbors at the pool. Once a father had 2 kids screaming at the pool at night. The other day, 2 ladies were drinking and having a blast/laughing loudly. I think a sign to keep it down after 10pm would be ideal. Our new security guy will be onboard soon should minimize that.2) Don’t want to follow the rules? Get your car towed around 3-4AM. No mercy here! If they see you in your car, they will dash away in shame, haha!3) Expect car to have scratches/dings. VERY compact parking spaces.4) Some people drive up and down the parking garages like theyre shooting Fast and Furious 3. Lines in the middle would be nice so that cars could respectfully drive on the RIGHT side of the parking garage. I think mainly the new drivers don’t know how dangerous it can be until they experience a close head on collision encounter. They are usually humbled after their first several experiences and drive more cautiously.5) 2 very slow elevators w/ no ventilation. Prac holding your breath in if you want to enter after they’ve been cleaned6) Stairwells are also not ventilated7) Thin walls. Neighbors will hear you talking up and down the halls, lol.8) Study/work/public area closes at 6PM9) Gym is not ventilated. There are reasons why the doors/windows are kept closed. Avoid after they’ve been cleaned10) No movie theater room, or whiteboard!11) 80% of the pool has leaves in it during the winter.12) Fire inspection w/ very loud sirens like every 2 or 3 weeks.13) Occasionally they forget to notify you of water shutdown/fire inspection days (ie twice only this year). This means that you find out when you need the water. Better have mouthwash, dry shampoo and several backup gallons of water stored up.14) Limited sunlight exposure depending on location of unit.15) Occasionally smelly trash bin near the mailbox.16) Litter is seen sporadically. A contemporary looking trash bin near the elevators on each floor might fix this problem.:)
