DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.This is my first negative review of an apartment complex in my 6 years as a renter. Thankfully, Im moving out very soon. I want to share my experience with you all.Century Medical District is a great place to live during the fall and winter when the pool is shut down. However, when the pool is operational it is an utter nightmare if you live poolside (they market poolside apartments as a luxury and charge more for them btw). I have met with the office staff on multiple occasions regarding this issue with no improvements. This summer has been exceptionally terrible. There is yelling/loud music going on 4-5 times a week past the quiet hours (10pm). This can go on until 2-3 AM some nights and has even gone until 6 AM on one occasion. I make calls to the courtesy officer multiple times a week and call 911(non-emergency number) a few times a week as well. I have never seen the courtesy officer stop the partying and the police have more pressing matters so they take 2-3 hours to arrive. If you value your sleep or if youre a student who needs to study, find another apartment complex to live in. I would not renew my lease even if they cut my rent in half.

Since my fellow neighbor posted a review about the pool noise, I figured I would write my own review to corroborate that review. The pool closes at 10pm, however, it is a regular occurrence to hear screaming, drunkenness, and loud music through all hours of the night, including during the week. So if you get a unit that faces the pool do not expect to get any sleep. The building is a square so the sound out there echoes around and it is impossible to sleep through. I have emailed the leasing office several times about this and have heard nothing in response. I even provided some suggestions that they could take to try to fix this issue. Im not sure if the apartment has a courtesy patrol as the other review said because I have never been told this nor have seen anyone patrol.Additionally, the apartment complex has a gym, but in my almost two years of living here there has never been more than 1 of the 3 treadmills working. Ive told the desk about the broken down machines but alas they remain unfixed. You pay a $10 amenity fee every month but it seems that is not used to maintain the gym. I had a lapse in judgment and renewed my lease. They offered to only raise my rent a small amount and gave me a little more than a week to decide otherwise the rent would have been raised more. In hindsight, I regret renewing. If you decide to live here, make sure your apartment is as far away from the pool as possible, if you enjoy sleep. Would have done 1 star but bumped it up to 2 since the interiors of the apartment are decent.

I was very disappointed with the level of customer service from the moment we entered in the door.Greet “ hi, can I help you with an attitude as if he was very overwhelmed. Next question “ do you have an appointment? Because I’m completely booked”My answer no but I have been calling and sent an inquiry to be contacted” he said oh well again I’m booked so I can’t show you.I then said okay that’s fine can I have pricing and availability for a two bedroom. He never asked to give me this information on his own. He never asked my name contact information or even bothered to ask if I wanted to make an appointment for a later day. He just let possible residents and money walk out the door. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. The guys name is Eli!!!

Interior of the apartments and maintenance staff are great but management is horrible. There are constant pool parties that run well into the night. Quiet hours are supposed to start at 10pm but people will blast music and scream until 1-2 in the morning every weekend and frequently during the week as well. The noise level is definitely not something that can be slept through. There is supposed to be a courtesy officer who responds to noise complaints, but all you can do is leave a voicemail to be forwarded and Ive never gotten a response back. Ive tried raising my concerns with the front desk multiple times and theyve refuse to do anything about it and act dismissive/annoyed when I speak to them. I will absolutely not be renewing my lease. Do not live here if you value your sleep.

Awful customer service. Couldn’t even call me to tell me that the two bedroom I wanted was already leased days before my tour. Wasn’t greeted or looked at when I came in. Rude front desk receptionist. Took my ID and didn’t even bother to apologize. The whole vibe was off when it came to making someone feel welcomed. I even brought my two friends with me so I wouldn’t go alone and they too didn’t like how the whole “interaction” went.

My gf and I just moved in yesterday and we love this place! The grounds are kept up nicely, the pool & common areas are high class! We loved Lisa in the Leasing office, she made our whole process easy and quick. The only con we could find was that the unit couldve been a bit more clean for us but that obviously an easy fix. Great place all in all ✊🏾

This apartment complex is very un organized. I went to visit to be a potential resident. The apartment i saw wasn’t even the apartment style i was interested in. When i got into the apartment it was nice but the lady then told me the one I’m interested in doesn’t look like this-style, restroom or anything in that nature so it was pointless for me to even tour that apartment nevertheless i still was interested because of the price. The office and staff NEVER answered the phone calls and took 2-3 days to respond to simple email questions. Nevertheless, i put my deposit down however i never received my lease to sign. Something told me hashtag the apartments on Instagram and thank God i did the residents apartment doors were getting kicked down, their cars stolen right out of the garages and tires being stolen off of cars all on the property and the staff made no Accommodations to make the residents feel safe and sound. I wasted my money on the deposit but if the staff couldn’t reply to me in a decent time frame just so i could sign my lease i don’t put it pass what they would’ve done had i moved in and i needed maintenance or an emergency. Definitely a waste of time.

This letter is in regard to issues I have experienced with the property and management at move in. Please don’t just write this/me as a typical complaint, but the issues I’d like to bring to like are not just concerning but disheartening.Prior to move in day I contacted the property to inquire about a move in time and use building access. I was advised that my unit was ready and that a 10:00am move in was acceptable. So I confirmed with my movers and paid the required fees. Upon arrival on my move in day, not only was my unit not ready as they’d advised, I was made to wait approximately two additional hours with my movers on retainer. At no time was I addressed by the leasing manager. She was present and looked on during my entire interaction with the other staff member. However, when I requested a manager she finally stepped in, offered a lack luster apology and asked if reimbursing me for the movers would be sufficient. I agreed. When I finally received the keys and was able to enter the unit I observed there was a smell in the apt. I also observed that Make Ready had not been completed; the unit was dirty from the floors having mud and needing to be swept, the carpet un-vacuumed, bathroom mirror displayed old toothpaste, toilet and tub not cleaned. I immediately brought this to managements attention and an apology was offered along with the promise of a credit which was okay considering I clean even when a unit has been previously cleaning because of my OCD.The issue comes into play when I contacted the manager with the movers invoice. She at that moment changed from reimbursing me for the movers to only offering to pay the difference in my agreed upon amount and the increase due to the wait. I have still not received this reimbursement. From there things went further downhill. I was referred to the property by a locator who called to schedule my viewings, who I advised sent me upon arrival, who I listed on my visitors card and also my application. However, she was denied payment for the referral. To date I have not received any of the items previously promised to me by your management team. Additionally, the manager has not been taking my calls. I understand there being limitations on things that can be done in situations like this, but it’s poor customer service snd reflects badly on the property when something is over promised and under delivered. This is coming from someone who is also in a consumer facing industry. So I am bringing this to your attention not so that disciplinary measures may be taken, but simply to make you aware and hopefully find a resolution.Thank you,

I adored this place before the mega snow storm hit our property. And now, Im beyond infatuated. Not only did we have running water and full power during one of the most trying times Dallas has seen from a natural standpoint; but the staff communication throughout the week was impeccable. Consistent advisories and direction was given during the whole ordeal. We experienced minimal inconveniences while neighboring areas were left without utilities and proper service. I highly recommend Century Medical District Apartments. I live alone and having such support is really important to me.

Do yourself a favor and don’t move here. It’s urban alright! Tires stolen out of 2 vehicles and we just moved recently. Garage door is always broken so there goes that.... Outdoor pool area is closed even though it’s outside....no public bathrooms to use while in the gym area. Maintenance in the complex is Poor. Save yourself a headache and move elsewhere. We were lied to upon move in and were told the Pool area was being “shocked” therefore area closed temporarily, 4 months later and it’s still closed! We toured many apartments and moved here because of location. Can’t wait to move out!

Do NOT move here.Trust me. I’ve pushed through the struggle for 2 years. It’s really not worth it. The rent is WAY TOO HIGH for what you get.I pay $1,300(ish) for terrible amenities, broken appliances, unkept facilities, and more.Take your hard earned money elsewhere and find an apartment complex that isn’t such a struggle…It’s not worth it here…. Trust, it’s really not…

Everyone that works here is awesome. Siska is the assistant property manager and she’s extremely helpful anytime I’ve had an issue. Rodrigo manages the front and he is also knowledgeable and helpful. The property manager Laura has really kicked up things here at CMD.Laura puts on weekly events for the residents - on certain Tuesday’s she and Rodrigo get up at 6 am to greet the residents as we leave for work with breakfast tacos. We had a hot coco bar for the holidays and she gave everyone who attended a super cute mug. Since Laura and the new property mgmt team has taken over things have been much better. The issues people are posting on here are isolated incidents and should not have any bearing on if you live here.I just signed my third lease. Yes, I’ve had incidents (things happen it’s life) and the staff has handled them as best they can. Even when I’ve been in the wrong they are understanding and kind in resolving the issue. They allow/encourage you to bring your pets to the social events. The only fees I’ve ever been charged are my monthly pet, water, valet trash, storage and rent. They don’t just hand out fines to hand them out. They don’t WANT to Fine anyone - the staff tries to provide the best place to live.Recently I tossed out a bunch of office trash - including some old credit cards. I didn’t bother cutting them up. The trash guy went to the office and found out who I was by the name on the card and hand delivered the cards back to me.So, even the maintenance people are kind and hardworking. The maintenance man - Otto - comes into my place to fix things when I’m at work ( with permission of course) and when he sees me he tells me how sweet my pup was and this and that.Such a friendly staff. No matter where you live there are going to be Pros and Cons - don’t judge a book by its cover. Come check out the property and tell them Dani Chandler sent you!

It hasnt been long yet but we love living here. Eli helped us out and was flexible in aiding our moving window from the west coast. So far, no neighbor noise or faults in apartment. Husband loves the shower/tub combination in the master bathroom.EDIT: After a year, were not sure what happened. The community changed. Maybe with management or something? The pool was disgusting - our family visiting and I got physically ill from what we believe was a chemical imbalance with the pool, we noticed uncomfortable and unsafe activity around the premises, and never had our maintenance requests filled or properly done. Because of these things, I have to lower my rating.EDIT: Added photos of the courtyard ponds, which I doubt they clean anymore ever and a huge dead bug from a hallway entrance.

I have lived here for 15 months and so far it’s been great. The community is clean and maintenance is good they do the work orders pretty fast and they don’t ever have to come back more than once which is big for me . The new management is so much more approachable and they care about my concerns and follow through with any issues I’ve needed fixed . The building is secured you need a fob to access all doors and buildings. The noise is not an issue I sometimes feel it’s too quiet. Over all my stay at Medical District has been great and the property is beautiful I love calling it my home.

I recently transferred from one unit to another I have lived here at Century medical for over two years now and honestly the new management has been very involved. I had a issue this Friday with my vehicle and the assistant Eli and the property manager were very helpful and thoughtful on my situation. The manager went and even helped me get my car moved and assigned me a space in the heat and all they were very helpful . Also last month I was late on my rent and they were very kind and let me work something out and they gave me my grace period to pay and I like how they let me vent when I’m upset and actually listen . The old management was horrible they wouldn’t give me the time of day . Over all I plan on staying here until I purchase a home as long as the management stays the same .

Highly unresponsive office staff. When I moved here 5 years ago, the halls were kept clean, the lights were changed and the complex was kept in great repair. Lately, the halls are littered with trash, roaches and are sticky. My car has been burgled twice. The complex no longer replaces lighting in the units with 18 foot ceilings. This is an unbearable mess of a complex. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from Century at Medical District Urban Apartments. (The names changed on the marquee from Luxury to Urban. This property is mismanaged. This company is a predatory company thats aggressively obsessed with over charging and stalking tenants. They refuse to protect residents from dangerous and obnoxious residents who harass others. The management watches your every move. They emailed me one day out of the blue to tell me they noticed I bought a new car. This place is very creepy. There is dog poop everywhere they never enforce pet policies and they never provide the bags to clean up after your pets. They claim you have access to grills to cook your food on, but the grills never have gas. Completely mismanaged and neglected property but they are obsessed with throwing ridiculous parties that no one attends. Their efforts for all the ridiculous parties should be transferred to actually maintaining the property and enforcing the rules

The carpet was perfectly vaccumed and was move in ready and they send a picture with three barely visible dots and NO VACCUM marks. Hmmm. Sounds like a scandal for additional fees. Beware and take many photos to fight against alleged blemishes. I even had a walk through and nothing was said about any issues. Very disappointing. See their picture for claimed stains... Beware! Also, safety is awful!!!! During my one year, there were multiple vehicle break ins and car damages even with the gated community.. Not worth the hassle. Go elsewhere.

Moved in about 4 months ago. Pretty happy with the apartments so far. Havent had any issues with the actual apartment. But the same cant be said about the staff. We asked for a storage unit at the very beginning, and reminded them every two weeks since. And never hear anything back. Signed up for the ParcelPending mail boxes for $30, they have only used them once. Now the packages just sit in their storage room and they dont even notify me that anything has been delivered. Ive seen packages laying in the front desk after hours, and luckily managed to grab my envelope before anyone else did.A month ago, a new management company took over the building, and Im assuming they have been busy with catching up. However, I still havent heard back about the storage unit or received any of my deliveries into the level pending as expected. Why did I pay for the service again?Ill give the new management a chance to correct the things and Ill update my stars/review in the near future.PS. Gas grill is always out of gas, Im assuming Ill have to get my own tank and bring that down with me if I ever plan on actually using the grills.
