I’ve been a resident for about four years and I’ve enjoyed my time here. The property has been exactly what I was looking for. It’s safe and convenient because I work downtown. Management has been pleasant to work with, Amanda and Amy are both responsive and make sure that you’re being taken care of.

This is an excellent place to live. It has good amenities and a friendly staff. They are quick to resolve issues. Ive never had any parking issues living here. It is close to restaurants, walking distance to grocery store, and access to public transportation. They have a 24 hour gym! It has good neighbors and a great management team!

What a fantastic property! Always clean, and organized. Great office staff. Always willing to go above and beyond to help with anything needed. Amenities are top notch and just a great area of Dallas to live. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to live in Downtown Dallas!!!!

I recommend several properties to a friend of mine but this one really stood out being that it is located in the CityPlace Uptown area. We inquired about this property via phone and spoke with the Assistant Apartment Manager Amy. She was very precise, confident, and had a welcoming tone. She made the details clear of all requirements, opportunities, and possibilities. We respected her for that because it highlights a professional trait of integrity. Transparency is highly important when home shopping and it’s not a rule of thumb generally followed. However I must commend management: both the Sr Apartment Manager Amanda & the Assistant Apartment Manager Amy of being a dynamic duo. The entire building smelled amazingly beautiful and it reflected on the upkeep of the units we visited. This is my co-workers NEW HOME now and she is ecstatic!❤️🏡🙏

Id so very much like to live here. The customer service truly is unparalleled. I must say that Amy is so kind. Unfortunately they do not have any 2 bedrooms or 1 bedroom apartments available right now, but Amy was able to refer me to a great apartment locator and she still made sure to treat me with respect and answer my questions. I ask a lot of questions and Amy was patient and kind the entire time. I appreciate you and hope to someday live here. Seems like a dream come true. :)

The maintenance team is excellent! They work hard to keep the apartment complex in order. I submit a maintenance request and they fix my issue in less the 24 hours. I’m highly satisfied with their work.

This place is fabulous! I have lived here for almost two years and have always been treated like royalty. The General Managers, Brandon and Amanda, are always attentive and making sure tenants are taken care of. The Complex Manager, Amy, is a rock star. Shes very friendly, charismatic, and always makes sure our concerns or requests are addressed within one or two days. And last but not the least, their Maintenance Supervisor, Raul, is the best in town. Every single maintenance request is handled within one day (within hours, if its an emergency). Not only does his team take care of maintenance issues quickly, they also keep our property clean and tidy. Quality work is also one of their trademarks. So, there you have it. If youre looking for a great place to live that is affordable, safe, clean, and convenient to everything that Dallas has to offer, this is it!

I have lived here for a year now. I love the location and management team & have never had an issue since being here. The office and team are very inviting and professional! If I have a question, and/or issue they are quick to respond and fix anything needed. They really are a great team. Ms. Amanda and Ms. Amy are very helpful and always great meet with a smile! I moved in last week, and I cant believe how helpful and welcoming Amy and Amanda have been. I first walked into the leasing office to a warm hello and a sign that welcomed me and the 2 other people moving in that day. The apartment is exactly what I saw online, and I dont have any complaints. Parking hasnt been an issue, and my neighbors are super friendly. Shout out to Amy and Amanda for all of their help!

This is a nice gated community, it’s been a month since we moved here and I have NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT, I waited to post the review to see if there were any issues in the process of moving in or after, everything went smoothly.Because of the Pandemic we did everything online, the process was quick, and easy, very professional stuff, Amanda, Amy ( who did awesome on accommodating meetings on our tight schedule) and the Maintenance staff who takes a good care of this property, this is a well maintained apartments, I have no problems with parking, very friendly neighbors. I love the convenience of many amenities around here, everything within a walk distance or a short 5-10 minutes drive down town or Katy Trail, or just a walk to MUTTS CANINE & Park for a drink and dinner along with your furry friend ( kids😉).If you are looking for a clean, quiet, friendly & affordable gated community THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE

WOW - I just received a call back from the Assistant Manager of Metropolitan at Cityplace - where she proceeded to tell me that I did not answer her BLOCKED call 3 times - she doesnt rent to rude people. Excuse me - First of all - show me in your rental criteria where this is a requirement - second - I was on a conference call and could not answer so since this person called back to back - I thought it was an emergency. She was the loudest most UNPROFESSIONAL person I have ever encountered. I can only assume the low Google star rating is contributed to this type of behavior which is unacceptable in every way. Shocked

I lived at Metropolitan at Cityplace for a little over 7 months. While I’ve had my ups and downs, but I can honestly say that I had an enjoyable experience living here. The location is great, especially if you work in downtown/uptown areas. Apartments are modestly price while still providing the amenities you’re looking for. I have to give kudos to two sets of individuals: one for the maintenance staff. I am astounded at how well this community looks. Living in Dallas, you can forget that there is such a thing as trees and landscaping. The staff here do an amazing job of maintaining the grass, plants, trees, and everything. I really enjoyed taking my pup for walks each day and enjoying a very outdoorsy feel while still living in a big city. Secondly, I have to give praise to the managers/owners of MCP. I admit that I have been a pain to them at times with various issues that have popped up that were out of her control; however, Amanda took the time to ensure I remained happy and did what she could to make things right. She genuinely cares about the well-being of residents, their satisfaction, and most importantly- their experience. Thanks Amanda for everything, and I wish MCP continued growth!

I lived here year 1999 to 2000. This place is amazing... looks the same and like new although after 20 years.

Metropolitan at Cityplace is a very nice place to live in. It has great environment, social room, gym, pool and also great staff. Kirsten is a really kind and helpful lady. She helped me with my move out day which I truly appreciate. Kim is also a really nice manager there. In general, I enjoyed my time living there.

Ive lived at Metropolitan for almost a year and found that the price you pay is truly for the location. I was looking at a much smaller apartment complex and found Metropolitan has great management and very competent staff that is receptive to questions, emails and communication. Theyre genuinely trying to improve the amenities and have recently updated the gym and package room so that you can go at your convenience.Positives include:1. Location2. Friendly and helpful staff3. Quick turn around on maintenance4. Neutral colors for apartment5. Balcony for every aptSome things that could be better (like with any other apartment complex)1. Parking (which they have started towing non-residents from inside the gate and has cleared some of this as an issue)2. Noise (I think its just part of downtown/uptown living especially on the weekend)3. Water supply smell (weve asked about this and apparently its a city issue but it smells chlorinated)They make it easy to pay rent with an online app, check in and ask for feedback and have a nice size pool, decent gym, its walking distance from Target and Kroger and LA fitness is a 3 minute drive. Although we wont be re-leasing for other reasons, I think its a good place to live if youre looking for something to save some money while still being 7 minutes from downtown.

Ive been here for a bit over a year and I love this place. Its a small and pretty calm community for the most part. Management and maintenance is great and is very responsive. They try to provide the best for the residents here.

I have lived here 2 1/2 years. Not sure what the recent bad reviews are all about, but I have loved this complex. It is a smaller complex, so the parking is tight sometimes. With that said, you will only get towed if you park like an idiot or if you park without a resident sticker. Since parking is limited, they are pretty strict on non-resident parking, which I appreciate!If you park outside the gates, you do run the risk of your car getting broken into. In the almost 3 years I have lived here, that has only happened one time to a visiting friend because he left electronics in the front seat. That is just the nature of living near downtown and not parking within a gated area, so you cant really blame the complex.The complex is quiet. The neighbors that I have met are really nice. Maintenance responds to requests same day. The office staff is friendly. The location is central to everything - grocery stores, nightlife, work (if you work in uptown/downtown). Rent compared to the surrounding area is really affordable. Would recommend!

Great apartments, great maintenance, office staff seems to need some help.

Its crazy how I pay rent here but never have a parking spot!!! This is the worst apartments to live in, I pay high rent just because of the zip code Im guessing because the apartments are not worth it.. Everyday I have to park across the street than walk to the apartments thats not right... The towing company dont come check the cars on the apartments, people park in handy cap parking spaces with tags, this is crazy.. Im ready to move ASAP

Let me start by saying do not believe all the negative reviews. Some people are never going to be satisfied or have a problem following rules and then take to the internet to write bad reviews. I moved to Metropolitan at Cityplace 7 years ago when it was called The Milo. Four years ago I moved to Michigan for my job but a year ago they let me come back to Dallas to work remotely. The only apartment complex that I even considered was Metropolitan at Cityplace. During the moving process I spoke with the manger Krysten who was very helpful and answered all my emails and calls. The apartment complex is always clean and well kept. The maintenance staff(Jose)is excellent!! Roxy is the newest team member and she is super helpful and we always have a great conversation when she sees me. I have always felt safe in my apartment and inside the complex. The new amenities that we have such as the package room is great. It allows us to get our packages after business hours which is good for us that work crazy hours. I have also noticed new activities for the tenants to help us connect with one another, and also the new AT&T fiber internet is awesome! I was pleasantly surprised at the new apartment upgrades that they have made which is superb. No apartment complex is going to be without its challenges, but Metropolitan at Cityplace does a really good job at being what I consider to be the best complex in this area.

Not the best, not the worst. I have lived here for almost a year now and I have never been towed and have not run into any crime issues such as break ins(knock on wood). Parking is tight, but I have never had to park outside the gate. Worst parking spot I have had was inside the gate but not conveniently in front of my building. Repairs seem to be taken care of, and some seem like cheap repairs. I do hear gun shots and a really loud dog coming from the neighborhood next to the complex. That doesnt really bother me though. I know everyones experience is different from the next. I think its pretty safe, and havent had any real trouble so far.

So I’ve lived at MCP for almost 3 years now l, yes they have have new in house management. But, their new team is amazing. Most people do not like change but, change is good without Shang our sociaty would be what is it today. Not to mention our property is FINALLY COMING into the age. Fog entry into our mail gym and social rooms. We live in a gated community and I know and love all my neighbors. Our pool is not temperature controlled and we have a “PP” Property a party at the end of summer with five seats bbq and just a great time to connect with one another. MCP was so outdated and way inter the radar but now it’s my home. And I love everything it has been moving towards! Party pool by day and relaxed atmosphere by night. What else could you ask for?~RoZi

I would give zero stars if I could.. my review is based primarily off of the current leasing office staff, as I have been here for two years now, and know that previously employees were much better at their jobs, actually cared about and had personal relationships with tenants,and I assume would be saddened to hear what the climate is like now.First and foremost, parking here is an absolute joke. There is not enough parking for the amount of people living here, and nothing is done to ensure that every resident is guaranteed a spot within the gated portion of the community. Many times Ive come home on a week night at 8-9 pm only to find ZERO parking spots inside gates, and have been forced to park out front or on carroll.avenue. there are always cars parked inside gates with no parking pass, sometimes for days on end but nothing is ever done to tow or ticket them.So much crime happens outside and inside these gates that parking on the streets is dangerous and not safe for a petite woman. Ive had neighbors have their cars broken into multiple times, hear gun shots regularly, and had a friend have their entire suv stolen one night,while parked inside the gates. No mention of break ins, car break ins, gun shots or crime is ever addressed by the office staff. And their concerns seem only about silencing pertinent information from other residents than actually creating an informed and aware community that looks out for one another.Repairs and maintenance are cheaply done. My 30 day air filter hasnt been changed since 2016 by the office, and even when requested, Im.broufht another paper thin 30 day filter thats expected to last a decade. Light bulbs they install.last weeks at best. So Ive had to buy my own filters, lifgt bulbs, and other things that should be provided by apartment. Everything is cheap, and so is the complex as theyve tried to charge me for their negligence or short cut bandaid repairs. For the $2000 I pay monthly for my apartment, you would think.i would have better finishes, appliances and a typical.uptown apartment. However this place is a huge rip off. A hot spot for crime, break ins, theft, and potentially dangerous to leave the gated perimeter.I pay way too much to be treated with such little respect or regard from all of the staff here, and do not understand why my rent continue to increase yet nothing has been done to improve my apartment or the pool,gym, facilities since moving here in 2016.The only thing they have done is improve the computer and printer room which was very nicely updated, probably because its in the leasing office and good for deceiving potential tenants. However, do not be tricked by their one nice facility. That room.os locked unless leasing office is open and Ive yet yo ever see one person in the room, ever. The money wasted on it was futile and should have been spent on the pool or improving things tenants can actually access and care to use.I strongly suggest anyone considering moving here to look at other properties, unless you like rude staff, cheap finishes, horrible parking, gunshots at 2 am, your car getting broken into or cinderblocks tossed through your glass door, and waking up to find your car was stolen in the middle of the night. If youre into that, paper thin walls and your upstairs neighbors sounding like a stampede of elephants anytime they move about, then this is the place for you!!

I want everyone to know that I have lived here 3-4 years and have decided not to renew my lease and move elsewhere. I WOULD NOT recommend this property to my worst enemy.In the four years I have been here, I have only seen teams looking after this property get progressively worse. This seems to be a property where the owner and property manager do not care about its tenants and what happens to them. Case in point, this story I want to share. Twice now my car has been towed by the same towing company without authorization based on false claims the towing company made.The first time this occurred, Southwest Auto Tow (SWAT) claimed that I was blocking vehicles and therefore took the liberty of taking my car. Upon SWAT sending their evidence to the assistant manager at the time, it was quickly realized that they had lied and the assistant manager demanded that the car be released immediately. SWAT agreed to release it but they wouldnt return it; I had to go personally pick up the car myself. At the time, I was assured by the manager of the complex that SWAT was not allowed to take vehicles without authorization and I was assured that SWAT was going to be replaced as the towing company of choice for the Metropolitan at Cityplace.Fast forward two years later and SWAT decides to take my vehicle without authorization AGAIN! This time they claim that I was parked in a Fire Lane. Again, upon SWAT sending their evidence over to the office it was concluded that they lied AGAIN! What made this situation worse is that the only person at Metropolitan at Cityplaces office was the Assistant Manager and this time around she did not have authorization to get my vehicle released. I had to go 4 days without my car while I waited for Metropolitan at Cityplaces Manager to arrive on January 2nd and give the authorization needed.What kind of management company has no control over the towing company they hired and allows them to take cars however -and whenever- they see fit?I am not the only one this has happened to. Two days before my car was towed this time, SWAT did the same thing to another tenant here at Metropolitan at Cityplace. Im 100% positive that SWAT has done this to more than two tenants. We could probably start a Facebook page called Falsely Towed at Metropolitan at Cityplace and it would fill with hundreds of people claiming this too.How can tenants sleep at night at this complex? Wondering if their car will be there when they wake up? Maybe thatll be the night a rogue SWAT member decides he or she wants to make extra money and tow a car from this complex without authorization.I have NEVER heard of this happening to other people at other apartment complexes but it has happened to me here; TWICE.Do Not Live Here! They don’t care about their tenants.

I lived here from February 2014 to February 2015. One of my coworkers (at TI) also lived here during that time and we ended up telling each other about these apartments. We both LOVED them - they were much better than the complexes that we had individually lived in previously. The ONLY reason that I left is because I moved back home to Houston. Otherwise, I definitely would have renewed. The location is great - they are right on 75 and also near other freeways. Before this, I lived in Addison and hated the drive to places I liked going to in Uptown, Bishop Arts, etc. Its a quick ride/a cheap Uber to get to Uptown, Downtown, Deep Ellum, Mockingbird etc. I had the smallest layout and my unit didnt have any upgrades. But it was cozy and comfy inside. The way that my layout was setup made the apartment more spacious than you would think it would be. I had a nice view of the Dallas skyline from my front door. When I initially started looking into these apartments, I worked with the leasing manager named Maria. She didnt have an unit the same size as the one Id be getting to show me but she sent me lots of pictures so I could see the type of countertops, sinks, etc. She even went to the current tenant and asked them if she could take pics of the apartment and they agreed! It helped with my decision and I appreciated her help. Soon after I moved in, the new leasing manager was Sydney who was just as AMAZING. She would reply to emails quickly and also grabbed packages from my front door and put them my inside my apartment if I needed her to while I was out of town. Another thing that they did for me before I moved in was allow me to rent one of the garages to store all of my items for about a month because my apartment that I was leasing wasnt going to be vacant and I had issues with my previous complex leaving me without a place for a month. If I ever moved back to Dallas, I would probably stay here again!

I have lived her for three years and on October 26, 2016 I will be moving to the East Coast for work. I came to Dallas from Baltimore in 2013. The only truly positive experience I have had in Dallas is living at the Metropolitan Apartments in City Place.I cant say enough about the staff. I have been through several changes and I know that those that left moved up in the Lincoln corporation. Each change in staff brought and even better experience even though everyone has been great. It was hard to imagine that the staff could improve since they were always great but maybe because they have all been so consistently great it feels like they just get better.The current staff, maintenance (I feel bad not remembering his name but he is amazing, responsive, considerate and excellent at this job) Cole and Jason have both been FANTASTIC to deal with.The grounds are beautiful. Since I do not have a car here, intentionally, the location provided the perfect spot for me to bike, DART, walk and UBER wherever I needed to go. All of my UBER drivers remark how beautiful the apartments are. A nice change from the megaboxes going up in this area. It is nice to take a walk through the courtyard and see trees and to greet the 4 legged residents.The pool area is great. Always clean as is the fitness center.It is nice and quite here. I have never had a complaint about noise.I could not say enough about the property. I am moving to a Lincoln Property in New Jersey. So far they have been just as nice as the staff here so it looks like the culture of the organization is nationwide.The only thing I will probably miss from living in Dallas is living at the Metropolitan.If you are looking for a place to live, a place to call home, I highly recommend it.

This is an incredibly hard place to live. The staff is incredibly inconsiderate and not responsive.

The new management and the landlord has been trying really hard to improve things; from bringing new appliances to the new security measures. I have been here for 6 years and I now I know what the AAA resident service is like. Thank you!

Its been 6 months we have moved here and we love it here. The neighbours here are good, nice and polite . The management office people are very helpful and nice too. They are always there to help you. Both the ladies Kristen and Nancy are great to talk to.. Location is best it is at US 75 You have kroger, walmart and target at corners and about 5minute drive you can reach to whole food. From the back gate you are 5 min away from cole park which is again a very nice park for kids and running.The price for this location is nice.Anyone who likes to have nice balconies and friendly quite environment should definitely visit here.Also the management here is very punctual in maintaining the grasses and trees and yeh they are pet friendly with a small pet park here too.so far no -ve thing here and I hope it stays like this !

Besides the garage remote control everything else is fabulous

Ive now lived here for 6 months. The building is fairly new so its in good condition.The management however is a complete different story. A blond lady that claims to be the office manager, is extremely rude and aggressive. The building corridors or often dirty along side the garbage disposal rooms.The hallways are unbearable during the summer as they are inclosed and have no way for fresh air to get in and no A/C in the corridors. Temperature must reach well into the 100s. When asked, the response was that they were going to keep a few exit doors open for air circulation, which is absurd. This is Texas and it gets pretty hot.Ive had my access card to the building wiped 3 times now and each time I have to go back to the magement to get it reprogrammed and they act as if theyre doing you a favor.The last time I went in their manger claimed that I shouldnt have 2 FOBs and its policy to only have one for each resident. If that is the case, why did I pay extra for an additional FOB when I have 2 vehicles.On another incident, one of their maintaince workers entered our apartment why my wife was taking a shower without any warning. When we brought this up to them, she gave us the same kind of dismissive attitude.Lets get one thing clear. I spent 2 years in another community around the corner from this place and received exceptional service without incident. This community, I beg to differ. At the end of the day we dont pay cheap rent here and you would assume, certain things are elementry, but that doesnt seem to be the case. Spend your money elsewhere as I will not recommend this place and will not be renewing my lease.As far as management, I highly urge Hanovers upper management to consider the individuals managing this community. I am personally offended at the way I have been treated by the staff here.
