I am an apartment locator and will never recommend this place to anyone again. My client is relocating with trucks set for delivery on a Saturday. She was supposed to move in on Thursday, her place was not ready with zero communication and zero concessions. They had another unit ready and wanted her to pay 90 more dollars a month. When her unit was finally ready, nothing looked right - the AC didnt work and it was 86 degrees in the place. Needless to say my client did not staying there.

This place is so disgusting and dirty, would not recommend! It smells of trash and the hallways are filthy. It looks like they are doing construction, however pieces of the ceiling and insulation are covered throughout the hallways. The pool is filled with screaming children and people that don’t pick up after themselves! Do not live here!

I moved into this complex on Friday, March 26 NOW moving out Monday, March 29. On Friday, as entering the apartment it smelt horrible so i let the window up and open the patio door thinking the apartment needed to be aired out. So as I continued to inspect the apartment I noticed insolation in the Ac vents, dirty filter, pet hair on the carpet from the pervious tenant and a birds or mice moving around in the vents. So I immediately went down to the office to notify Melissa which she was sending someone up to check the problem but they never showed up. I following up with Melissa on Saturday she informed me that Maintenance had 3 units ahead of me but I would be PRIORTY which no one showed up AGAIN. I submitted a form online for Cooperate to call me which I havent received a call back. On Monday morning I called to speak with the manager Alex, I told him the issues Im having in my unit. Instead of offering to get this unit fixed He immediately offered to release me out of my lease offered my money back for everything except my movers I had to pay to move in and NOW move out.

Unfortunately this apartment complex is infested with rats. You can bet you will have an intruder in your apartment at least twice a month and if not you will hear them inside of the walls, air vents, your sink, and your bath. This apartment complex is dirty, smelly, constant car break-ins and a neighbor of ours just moved out because they fired gun shots through his walls. He left traumatized. Do yourself a favor and do not even consider moving here.

My husband and I have been living here since September, 2018. Although there are issues with the building, the staff members are always helpful and get things fixed fairly quickly. The management is always kind and are pretty on top of things. Chase and Jennifer work very hard to make everything as smooth as possible when issues do arise. They update the residents frequently through email/phone, or when they catch you in the lobby. Plus, the building is VERY pet friendly. Apartments are generously sized, and some come with your own garage and most have balconies. This is much more than what were used to, as NY apartments are the size of a closet! The only downside to this complex is that sometimes random people get into the building, especially during hot summer days to swim in the pool. Security could be a little tighter and they have been improving this, other than that this is a great place to live.

This was a great first apartment in Dallas. I moved to Uptown not knowing anyone in August 2019, and can honestly provide a review of someone who utilized all apartment amenities, try to befriend neighbors and get around the city. This complex is in a great location, as its next to Target and close to popular/central shops or restaurants in Uptown. I did feel like I needed my car to get around quite often, though, because Hue sits on the east side of 75 and also because its located right next to a gas station where many homeless people congregate. Any complex or city-based location will have a homeless population presence, but I felt more aware/cautious because of the back parking gate and how easy it was for homeless people to come in - not only giving access to cars but to front doors as well. I personally was never affected by this, and security services do surveillance often of the garage area, but I took extra care to keep my car empty, locked and also lock my doors at all times.I loved the maintenance team (shoutout to Armando!), they were very helpful/timely for any request and even drove back after hours to help with a busted water heater. I personally wasnt thrilled with the CONSTANT low water pressure, but living on the 4th floor will have its pros/cons.The pool was INCREDIBLE, and I always felt like there were plenty of chairs or space to accommodate guests if I had any. This is also where I met a few friends/neighbors and I just loved spending time down there. The amount of sun throughout the day is pretty good, and the grills worked for the most part (although propane could be replaced more often). During COVID, staff kept the pool locked on Sundays even though they promised to get weekend help, but Im not sure if this has changed since I moved out in September 2020.The gym was also great, as they had a lot of heavy free weights and most equipment I would normally use in a regular gym. This was also closed during COVID so I couldnt use it after March 2020 but I used this frequently and was happy enough not to buy another membership elsewhere.Management usually takes a long time to respond to things via email, including getting my lease updated and welcome letter, but Chase (Director) was a great resource during the move-in process. If you go down in person, they will also likely help you if you are able to/comfortable going to the office. They also planned a few resident activities during COVID spring months, which were nice.Towards the end of my lease, the garbage became more of an issue where it was scattered all over the hallways, overflowing several times in the trash room/chute area, and never picked up in the garage. The units themselves were very updated and modern, and I appreciated having so much storage (balcony storage, laundry room (with included W/D!), and walk-in closets), garden tub, wood floors, partial skyline view... all of it was very nice and VERY affordable compared to Uptown pricing (pricing also doesnt go up very much should you choose to renew).Overall, a very nice place to live in a central part of town and with affordable pricing!

I lived at the Hue for over 3 years. For the most part, I did not have any problems at all. The office staff was wonderful (especially Jennifer although she is no longer there). The best thing is how prompt maintenance is with fixing any sort of problems/request that you may have. Unknowing to me, you have to ask for air filters (strange)? Out of the 3 years I lived there, they were only changed about twice. So, be prepared to ask for your own filters. My biggest problem started within the last 7-8 months when I started to notice so many new and different faces that were not the normal neighbors. I called and asked management about it, and he replied that it was “Corporate Leasing”. I left it at that not realizing that “Corporate Leasing” meant AirBnB rentals. I looked online and saw that many of the places are up for AirBnB rental. I don’t like that strangers are constantly in and out with Gate codes and such. There were many people renting the property just for parties, allowing so many strange and different people to come to the property and trash it. The hallways stay dirty as well as the parking garages littered with trash. Sadly after 3 years, I decided to part ways. Be prepared to deal with the party goers as well as the loudness that comes with it.

Staff is wonderful, very accommodating. The complex overall, however, is just a front for Air BnB rentals. Most of your neighbors are only staying for the weekend, or on work/school travel. Lots of family vacationers. Just be aware that your neighbors are transient and they have no reason to care about behaving because theyll be gone in a few days. This information isnt prominent during your tour. Many of the outdoor amenities have been out of service for at least the past year. The fountain at the pool, the fire pit etc. Its been left alone long enough that I believe the intent is to not repair these fixtures. In-unit maintenance is always handled promptly, however, and the maintenance staff is great. Its a neat community, plagued with Air BnB subletting. Oh, but youre not allowed to sublet your own unit, thats just for the parent company and their partners to do.Also, paperwork on move-in is unusual. Youll need to sign a gas addendum when your unit doesnt have gas hookups, a pet addendum when you dont have pets, and youll be expected to sign and return a blank condition/inventory sheet during your application. If the unit youre applying for isnt yet vacant, that means youll be signing a blank condition sheet for a place you havent seen yet, indicating you have no objections (it explains all this right on the form). In fairness, they allow you to complete a second one after you move in. They didnt try to pull anything funny in my case, I just thought it was a weird policy. All that said, its a good enough place for the price. Oh the package lockers cost $25 bucks to sign up and any rental price will require a $100 cable/internet package. Non optional. The internet connection is really fast though.EDIT: Hi folks in the front office! Again, youre all wonderful. No complaints about apartment staff whatsoever. We dont have anything to discuss. If the parent company wants to contact me, theyre more than welcome to leave me a voicemail, or send me an email. I know its got nothing to do with any of you. If the overlords want better reviews maybe they could get a clue about what people are looking for in an apartment: Equitable leasing terms, non-skeevey contract signing procedures, subletting rights for all units instead of just the rich dinguses at the top (lets be honest, you guys get to deal with the fallout of this practice constantly, its not fair to you either), funding for repair of permanent community fixtures, etc. If negative reviews affect your payroll compensation in any way, that is unacceptable, but the truth is the truth and the companies that own these buildings arent going to escape criticism just because they shove innocent property management employees between themselves and the renters. You get all the flak and they get all the revenue. Unless theyre losing money right now... Which I guess is likely during a pandemic. Sucks for them. Thanks for listening.

The apartment was crooked, poorly insulated and made electricity bills $250+, and the amenities are alright. But the worst part was the noise, especially because the apartment faced the highway. Even after putting in noise reducing curtains over the window and balcony door, I had to either wear earplugs at night or some nights even slept in my closet. The apartment was big for its cost, but not worth the lost hours of sleep.

I have lived at this property since November of 2015. In January of 2018 a new company bought the property. Since then every week or two they shut off the water from 9 AM to 6 PM. Sometimes with out notice. After talking with the corporate office they have informed me that this will continue for many more months. In the past month I have also been informed by other neighbors of a rat infestation that they are trying to get rid of.*** EDIT after receiving the response from the management.***I received an email from the management on May 30, 2018. It states that they acknowledge that the water shut offs are a great inconvenience to the residents. They stated that the replacement of the water valves was a request by the city. Now they are trying to say that it is a requirement. If it is a request I do not understand why they have to turn of the water so frequently. Why can it not be spread out more. Allowing more time between shut offs, or hire more people to be able to replace more valves at one time.

This is the absolute worst apartment complex in the Dallas metroplex. Please DO NOT waste your money here. For starters- The leasing office staff was incredibly rude and unwelcoming, you’re basically an inconvenience to them when you have a question or concern. The interior of the apartments are updated and nice. HOWEVER, it’s not nice enough to pay the price of luxury living in a complex that has multiple car break ins, homeless people wandering the property, wheels being stolen off of cars as well as violence on the property such as shootings, fights, etc. The police are on the property at-least 4x a month. This dump is simply over priced and dangerous. I am not exactly sure where all of the rent money is going considering they have 0 WORKING cameras on the property and have yet to put any in. The only plus side of this property is the maintence team, with all of the efforts they put into their job- they should just manage the place, the company would be better off and residents would be more satisfied. They’re always helpful and kind whenever I would pass by them on the property. BUT if I were to call the leasing office, my calls were always ignored and NEVER returned. Definitely did not renew my lease when it was up and I strongly advise everyone to avoid the Hue at City Place at all costs. You will thank me later.

The staff is beyond awesome, super friendly and helpful, the maintenance service is very efficient and responsive. The online system for payment, maintenance, packages, and community platform is awesome and very user friendly. We were also very impressed for all the amenities as well as all the community events and perks. You will definitely get all LOT for your buck. We were sad to move, but we bought a house and moved out of state. We definitely recommend Hue at Cityplace as the place to live in Dallas!

Lovely apartment with whirlpool stainless steel kitchen appliance, crown molding, plush carpets, and pheax wood floors in kitchen and bathrooms, the common areas are for the most part well maintained and neat. The staff is hit or miss though sometimes the lady in the office can be rude and unhelpful especially when you need to retrieve packages. The office hours are not considerate of anyone with an 8-5 and makes it almost impossible to pick up things you need without taking off work especially since the women in the office wont budge from her desk till 10 am. Reasonably priced but take advantage of the security system, its downtown Dallas though what do you expect. Security patrols hourly during the night everyday.

Hands down the BEST Onsite Property Management! So yes all the apartments have just been renovated, the pool is a amazing, it’s in a prime location - but non of that would matter without the amazing staff. Chase the Property Manager is always available, Jennifer and Melissa in the office greet you with a smile and are always ready to help in anyway. Then you have Armando in the Maintenance Department. This guy is a superhero that keeps everything running in tip top shape. If your looking for a new home just remember you can find the granite countertops, designer paint colors, and lush landscape anywhere. What you cant find everywhere is a team like Hue at CityPlace has to make you truly feel at home.

So funny enough I tried to delete my review until I had the time to fully write one out it left the one star but not anything I typed, and I get a response to go discuss issues with the office so let’s start with that joke of a response. So I can say my old unit/building In the back of the complex had a continuous ant issue and from what I hear still does. My new building along with another has a horrible rat infestation. When you ask the office what their plan is and how they will fix it they shrug their shoulders and say they don’t know. My bathtub has severe issues and they have “fixed” it multiple times. Trying to do so they have made a hole in my wall they have not patched back up (perfect with the rat infestation). Multiple maintenance requests (including the bathtub) have been “fixed” my just closing out my work order. My unit has huge cracks(wider then my foot) running across the entire unit in several places. Once again they have no idea if when or how they will fix this. If your ac breaks or is not working correctly their fix is to open all of your vents completely (multiple residents have had this happen) there is definitely mold in my ac vents their solution is to clean the vents. Took two weeks to get my washer fixed, and when they did come out to fix finally they ended up fixing the fridge instead (which wasn’t broken) . Took two months to get my port for my internet fixed with multiple stories on their end why. Did I mention our pool was closed half of the season, and since that renovation our hot tub has not worked at all(another issue they don’t have a solution for). Also our water is shut off all day one or more times a week and corporates response is that this will continue for several months. Rent is also through the roof and so we are all having to move out as our leases are coming up, the new prices are definitely not worth what you are getting. Besides that it is a good location but you can get a much better apartment in this area for a much better price. I could keep going for quite a while but I’ll end here.

New office staff is flat out terrible, Ive lived at this community for over 2 years and its never been this bad. Ever since the new manager Erin started working the office its nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone when you call (try calling 6-7 times just to speak with someone), service requests arent completed in a reasonable amount of time (multiple follow ups over the course of 3 months and the leak in my roof STILL isnt fixed), and the maintenance around the pool area is a joke. Most recently the pool (which Id never seen closed for more than 7-8 days) got closed for over 2 weeks (including 4th of July weekend) and when it was reopened it was poorly communicated and there was still debris in it as if it hadnt been properly cleaned. This place may seem like a bargain for the area but after they get you locked into a lease youre practically on your own.

Its a in great location to live.. It has nice amenities and the layout of the units are well designed. Rent is TOO expensive to constantly have to call with issues. However the leasing agents are horrible they never answer the phone. The trash bin on the townhomes side stays full and funky. The Mgr Erin never return calls emails and always miss commitments. My unit had several issues that needed immediate attention and had to file several service request and trips to the office. I asked for a higher point of contact and all they could do was say Im not sure who Erin mgr is but gave my an email address to their office. The customer service sucks. Jada was a great assistant mgr very friendly and knew her tenants. Willie the maintenance man was awesome as well, whatever he was able to fix he did a great job on. Anything outside his will good luck on cause it would take calls to be made to the office say hey did you forget that I put in this request or did you ever call the outside vendors. (Pest control, air conditioning, alarming system) I can truly write a book about this community but I wont cause the bad would take over. Since my last post. The community has changed names and the same issues remains the same. They are constantly shutting the water off at least 4 times a month. Not to mention the water was shut off all day from 9am to 6pm. They never answer the phones. Christy and Michelle are so rude and unprofessional. They’ve replaced staff at least 6 times since the change over. Jennifer is very nice and respectful. I had mold in my restroom that was beyond and out my control due to a pipeline inside the walls. Th y came and cut a hole out in my restroom that was open from Friday to Tuesday. It was so many excuses to why it couldn’t be fixed. I immediately informed them that my son has asthma and couldn’t live in the household with it. But they didn’t care. Again great location but it’s not worth it. Our pool has been down and water drained from it since March and said it might not be up till the end of June. Very disappointing and when your view Is the pool.

Pros: The apartment unit itself is nice & very spacious. The location for things to do is nice! It’s a $7 Lyft ride from Uptown, Downtown & Deep Ellum.Cons: When I first moved here, the management was so unhelpful. If anything, completely rude. When I went to go pick up my keys, as I was moving from out of state, the office never picked up their phone. They were having a pool party but did not call me to give me any move in instructions. I got there almost close to closing time and would have missed picking up my keys except the leasing consultant were still at the pool. When I was finally so glad to catch them, they acted like I was a burden trying to get my apartment keys. LUCKILY, the complex has since changed management but I still have a bitter experience from the get go.The complex is not secure. getting from the parking garage to my unit was such a long walk. I was always afraid when walking to my apartment at night. There’s a sketchy 7-11 on the corner filled with homeless people so security could really be better at this place. You get a key card to badge into the garage but once you’re inside you can get up to anyone’s apartment & any floor. So there’s not really a controlled access even though they list it as a apt feature. The hallways are disgusting, there was even a condom in the hallway for weeks before someone removed it. I had an issue with my ceiling leaking water once when it rained heavily. For noise, I can hear people walking & talking in the hallway but it didn’t bother me too much. When I’m sitting in my living room, I can hear my neighbors dog barking it’s not horrible but something you may want to consider when looking here.Overall, I personally didn’t have a huge issue but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Pros:-Affordable-Location (close to Uptown - bars, restaurants, etc.)-Pool is very nice looking and has hottub-New game room is cool-Dog park is large and has some jumps/structures for them to play in-Fast service on most maintenance calls-Surprisingly little road noise despite proximity to 75 (I live in an interior apartment across the hall from those that actually face 75)-Spacious parking garage- lots of room in each space and I have never had to park on another level or anything inconvenient like thatCons:-Looks nice when you just glance around, but a closer look shows the poor quality of the craftsmanship- Not a single door frame fits its respective door. Front and back doors dont close easily and are very difficult to lock, especially with a key- Front and back doors allow air through when closed - cold in winter, hot in summer- All door stops missing, causing doors to hit walls and damage drywall.- Doors wont stay open- Whoever painted this apartment probably did the entire thing in 1/2 of a day and did not care about actually painting all of the walls-When a maintenance request was put in for the front door, they told us it could not be fixed, and that was that.-Poorly set up HVAC keeps 1/2 of apartment way too cold and 1/2 way too hot-Only one entry point to parking garage. This gate breaks frequently. Can be as long as 2 weeks before they repair it-Only one of the external pedestrian gates can be used as an entrance. Incredibly frustrating to have to walk around the entire complex when there are more gates that could be used.-Office staff, while friendly enough, has horrible communication with the residents on issues like the creation of reserved parking, the remodeling schedules (which they are always wrong about anyway when they do actually say something)-Office hours are incredibly inconvenient for anyone working a 9-5 job with any kind of commute. If you get a package delivered on Monday, you may not be able to get to it until the weekend.-Dog park is starting to get gross. It smells very bad - largely because of the fact that people arent picking up after their dogs. Definitely needs to be cleaned.-Location is a negative as well. Being right next to a very seedy neighborhood means there are a lot of questionable people walking around (although the people watching at the corner gas station can be tremendous, depending on the day) This isnt the fault of the apartment, but its probably why theyre so affordable, but its worth knowing before moving in here.In summary, know what youre getting into. You get what you pay for here.
