I really enjoyed my time at Camden Design District, and I wouldve stayed longer if I didnt move in with my partner. First of all, do not get a unit facing Turtle Creek. My unit faced Oak Lawn, which was still loud with traffic and occasional street racing (its Dallas, to be expected) but not nearly as bad as some other units on Turtle Creek. The complex was maintained nicely and so was my apartment. I did have to put in a few maintenance requests but they were taken care of really quickly. I never had any issues with the staff or my neighbors. As I said before though, this is downtown Dallas, so beware of noise, stolen vehicles, and package thefts. There is not a package locker on site, so get your packages delivered to your workplace or to the Amazon lockers because something WILL get stolen. Quite a few vehicles also got stolen from the parking garage in a short span of time. Im sure Id speak differently if it was my car, but these things do happen in the city. I still felt secure and safe in this complex as a young single woman. I would definitely recommend living here, you really cant beat the price compared to most other places in the area. I will miss living here!
As an employee of Camden I’m glad I chose Camden Design District to live at. The office always helps me with any issues I have and the maintenance team is always on top of any trouble that happens in my apartment. The community is always clean and taken care of!
I am an employee with Camden but work out of a different location. I have always appreciated living offsite so that I can be viewed as a resident versus employee. Since my arrival at Camden Design District, I have been treated like royalty. Zomara made sure to find me the perfect apartment despite short notice. She made her availability flexible and greeted me with a smile. Cassidy and Lacy have also helped me on several occasions and are always smiling and greeting me with intention. Jarah, the Community Manager, is literally one of the most positive, humble, and hospitable humans I have ever met. So thankful that she manages the community I live at; I always know that my requests will be met with care and in a timely fashion. Maintenance is second to none at this community. Hildo even came to my apartment to show me how to use my thermostat properly, despite being crazy busy with other tasks.Aside from the phenomenal staff, Camden Design District has the BEST pool area. I am so happy to live here so that I can entertain my guests at this amazing pool. It is also perfectly clean and refreshing. I have a pool view and have seen Ted outside at 8:00 AM on occasion already cleaning the pool area. The gym is pretty awesome too, but I have yet to go; I depend on my metabolism...but need to go soon! The location is amazing. We are next to Virgin Hotel and Ascension Coffee, along with many other great options. It has been 2 months and I have every minute of my residency.I also feel very safe. I was waiting for an Uber and the onsite security asked for my name and apartment. At first I was thinking, excuse you? but then realized this is exactly what a reputable security personnel should do! It made me feel assured living in the city!Thank you so much Zomara, Jarah, Lacy, Cassidy, and all of maintenance!
I truly enjoy living here. Sure there can be a few minor inconveniences like noise, but that’s all part of being in the city. The building is a little older than some other apartments, but it is well maintained and nicely renovated. The maintenance staff is truly the best, most professional group of people I’ve ever seen! Every request I put in is fulfilled within that same business day and the guys are always so friendly around the property. The dog park here is awesome. My only complaint is I wish they would invest in package lockers and more security cameras around the building.
Lived at Camden Design District for 3 years and loved it. The office staff and maintenance team are great! Never had to wait more than 24 hrs for a maintenance request to be completed. Camden proved they cared about their residents during the covid 19 pandemic and the winter storm in February 2021. Would recommend living here!
My partner and I lived in unit 156 (Turtle Creek side) and ended up cancelling our lease. Once we moved in here, we quickly realized that we chose the wrong apartment. There were constant vehicles and people loitering right outside our windows, not to mention the endless slamming of the pedestrian gate adjacent to our bedroom. The Virgin Hotel was too close for comfort - extremely loud music (and bass) throughout the week, intoxicated people being obnoxious and going crazy, and vehicles racing up and down the drag at all hours. There was ongoing construction right across the street the entire time we lived here. There was no sense of security due to weekly instances of packages being stolen, cars being broken into, cars being stolen or having their catalytic converters stolen, shady people roaming the hallways and parking garage, and strangers literally climbing up onto our patio in the middle of the night and attempting to break-in. We asked management if they could help secure our patio to help prevent this from happening but nothing was done.Unfortunately, we completely lost our peace of mind. We lost sleep because we were constantly worried if something was about to go down. Things might have been different if we had chosen a different apartment. So keep this in mind before you decide to live in a unit on the first floor, especially one facing Turtle Creek. To top it all off, management wasnt transparent about charging us an extra fee to turn in our keys early. We had communicated in advance that we would be dropping off everything a few days before our lease ended, and we werent notified that we would be penalized until we received our final statement. We had spoken with Zomara multiple times, leading up to and even on the day we returned our keys to her in person, and she failed to communicate this information. When we reached out to her for an explanation, she admitted to making the mistake but chose not to make it right. We were penalized for her mistake because she was able to use a convenient technicality as an excuse. Apparently, it was her first final account as a new assistant manager and she was still learning. It was disappointing for her to take this approach, all things considered. Our experience living here was not good and we are so happy to have moved out when we did. Things were only getting worse by the day.
Definitely want to thank the property for being so amazing, wonderful & just plain AWESOME! I want to give a shout out to Jarah & Zomara for just being so kind and helpful everytime I see them. Definitely recommend property and staff here as they will take the time to help you in any way possible. I love stopping by the office and just saying hello as they are just so AMAZING! Love you ladies and I hope to continue seeing yall in the future!
I lived at Camden DD for 4 years and loved it. The units are spacious and of pretty decent quality, and they renovated them with some modern upgrades about a year before I moved out. The complex definitely has an upscale feel to it, and I liked it. The location is great; just close enough to downtown but not as highly priced as downtown apartments, and avoids the crazy downtown traffic when there are events at the AAC. I often would go running down Hi Line toward downtown, then under the I-35 bridge to hop on the Katy Trail. The garage parking is nice, and the entire top level is for guests which I never saw get even close to full. Every single interaction I had with management and with the maintenance team was excellent. They keep the grounds in top notch condition and I felt like communication with tenants was consistent. My unit was on the south part of the building but facing the pool area fountain which was really nice. My only complaint was that my upstairs and downstairs neighbors werent always respectful of noise levels after 10pm, but I found management was always helpful in addressing that if you brought it to their attention. I definitely miss living here, and would recommend it if youre wanting to try living in the Design District.
I had a really great time at Camden Design District. The apartments are nice and the amenities are great. The leasing staff and maintenance staff was always very kind and helpful. It has a great dog park and the parking situation is convenient and secure. I didnt really have any issues at all to complain about. Its near downtown so there is some expected street noise but I was able to drown that out with a white noise machine. The units walls must be well insulated because I never heard a sound from my neighbors.
I moved to Camden in August 2020 and have not once regretted my decision. My last place had many issues from day one and I now wish I would have moved to Camden sooner but I was being “too lazy” and just chose to stay. Not only has Camden been on top of everything since I moved in, this last week when they would rather be with their family and loved ones, they have been taking care of the complex and helping residents when needed and providing updates as soon as they can. The leasing staff and maintenance are the nicest people ever and really truly care about us. They have effortlessly and tirelessly worked hard this week even when tired from long days. So grateful for this community and so overly grateful I chose to move here. Thank you for all of the hard work. It does not go unnoticed.
I strongly recommend that you do not lease any unit that has a balcony facing the Virgin hotel on Turtle creek. You will never have peace and quiet on the weekends as the hotel plays loud music all night. During the summer the music is played during the day with the pool parties and at night the music is loud enough where I can’t even sleep until the music stops at 2am. I should also mention noise from the street traffic you’ll hear from the hotel guest including street racing. I waited months to write a review in hopes management would find a solution to this but there has not been a real plan of action. Last night was the final straw when a mob of people leaving the hotel broke windows and attacked a resident on the first floor of the property.A less serious issue with this property but still a worth noting since this is “luxury apartment complex” is that there are not parcel lockers here. That means you’ll never have peace of mind that your package won’t be stolen as they are just left in front of your door. Unfortunately many package get stolen or delivered to the wrong apartment often. I don’t write that out of spite but as of fact we have a community wall where I see that as a common theme. I personally have had one package either stolen or delivered to the wrong unit. The highlight on this place would be the maintenance team and grounds crew they do a good job. Also is in a good location but there are better options out there if you are going to be paying luxury apartment prices
Toured this community and I absolutely loved the costumer experience. Zomara was very friendly and knowledgeable! It was super clean. Im looking forward for availability this upcoming summer!
Ive been incredibly impressed by the speed of which all my service requests are handled. The maintenance staff is always friendly and ensure that whatever issues Ive had are taken care of. Ive never waited longer than 24 hours and more often than not, they come within a few hours of submitting my request. They even came around 9pm to change out my refrigerator on a weekend. Im grateful for how hard they work.
Camden Design District is by far the best managed apartment I have ever lived at! The management team truly goes above and beyond to keep residents informed and are very proactive about communicating information out to the community. The maintenance team was always incredibly fast and responsive to any work orders that were submitted, and truly kept the overall exterior and amenity space looking great year round. The building was built very well and I never had any issues with hearing the people above or next to me through the walls which was great! Even after I moved out, I had some packages accidentally delivered to my old address and management was able to hold my package for me to pick up. Seriously this place is the best!!
Zomara is amazing for what she does. When it comes to looking for apartment in this area she is the one you need to go see!! From the moment we went & toured the apts she was amazing she is very detailed and super helpful! She is quick to respond to all your questions and makes everything easy for you to move in ! Best experience Ive ever had with an apartment leasing consultant . I definitely recommend !
I’m gonna post my double chin simply because I loveeeeeeeed these apartments. I came with my best friend to check out an apartment he’s getting with my sister and we loved it!’ The rooms are spacious, the closet and master bath are HUGE. The kitchen is beautiful and the parking is very convenient. The staff was very friendly and made sure all our questions were answered. When he realized I was there for my sister, he asked if I wanted to take any pictures and videos but ofc the only one that mattered was the video of the bathroom lol!
I LOVE LIVING HERE! I signed a 17-month lease in September 2019 and this place is great! Ive lived at 4 other complexes in the area and this is my favorite by far. The price for square footage cannot be beat. Every place will have their pros and cons and honestly the only con I had was that my unit doesnt get enough sunlight...I knew this going into the lease so I dont mind it much. The most important aspect to apartment living is how responsive the management would be. Weve had things break due due to normal wear and tear, and my hair tends to clog the drains often...but they always fix everything in a timely manner! The units are nice and up-to-date with modern fixtures. Shout out to Jose V. and the rest of the maintenance team. Yall are awesome!
I lived at Camden Design District for a year and it was a phenomenal experience with an awesome staff. The folks in the leasing office are amazing and the maintenance team is the best I have ever seen. Only reason why I left was because my job re-located me to Chicago.Camden Design District gives you the best of two worlds. It sits in a pocket of the city which allows you to go in and out (3-4 minute drive to the American Airlines Center / Katy Trail) however, sits in a low travel section of the city which gives off the allusion that you aren’t even in the city at times.Trails - The trinity trail is 1 minute walk from the building. I have dog and it was awesome. Great place to run and bike as well. (Katy Trail - 3-4 minute drive away)Dog park. - it’s huge! If you have a good boy/girl they will love it. My pup was mad that I leftThey have all the amenities you need from gym, infinity pool, court yard, business center, laundry service, etc..Every great place has some negatives. 1. The new Hotel across the street can get pretty loud. The leasing staff is working with the city to resolve those issue. 2. Mail. Packages have been stolen in the past. One resolution that many suggest is getting package lockers. Hopefully those are installed soon.Overall, the place is amazing! I definitely recommend to a friend/family.
SECURITY its the biggest issue Ive had while living in this community. packages are stolen from your front door and apartments are broken into on literally a daily basis. Camden has done nothing to fix this problem despite several complaints from the community. (for a while there was a big push for security cameras to stop the excessive but Camden declined and a month later put routers in every apartment to lock us into a very lackluster a technology package).LOCATION is convenient but sadly its also riddled with noise from the street and the highway. Overall I didnt feel this was a very peaceful environment. Finally, the front office was very unreliable and for lack of a better term kind of shady. make sure whatever they tell you on the phone is backed up in writing because they will decide to backtrack on what they say. Some proof of this is the fact that they have hired three different property managers in the last 4 years.Camden comes at full luxury price, but is not full luxury value the place is old and is constantly falling apart. the one positive is that they have a very good maintenance team but boy, oh boy will you need the maintenance team. I strongly suggest driving a few miles closer to uptown and paying for a true luxury experience.
I lived at Camden Design District for almost two years. This was one of the best places I ever lived. The amenities are fantastic, and the leasing staff really go out of their way to put on some really special events for the entire community. The neighborhood is also such a great place with so many awesome spots just steps from your front door. The maintenance team is one of the best I have ever experienced as a resident and the community was always kept up extremely well. If I ever moved back to Dallas this is where I would want to call home again.
I recently moved in here and I love it so far! This is a great property with an even better staff. From the leasing office to the maintenance team, they are top notch. They have been very welcoming and helpful with the move in process. Also, they respond to any calls, emails, and questions promptly. If you’re looking for a new place to live, check them out!
Pros:-gated multi-level parking garage-dog park larger than most in the area-large balconies-large pool area-wonderful maintenance teamCons:-some security issues (unfortunately there isnt much the management can do). There are some cameras in the parking garage but none in the hallways that Ive seen.-package theft is an on-going problem (I think package lockers are an easy solution..)
Camden Design District is such a beautiful complex. From the awesome finishes in the apartment homes, the resort style pool, to the gorgeous courtyards. The office team has the best customer service, truly cares for us, and puts on fun events. The maintenance team is always does an amazing job, pays attention to detail, and is quick as can be. I take so many tips and tricks from our team here as I also work in the industry and for the company. The area is unbeatable as well. I believe we have the total package. I would recommend this complex to anyone I know.
I have lived here for almost 3 years now and love it.
These apartments are located in a great location. It is close to major freeways and restaurants. The staff are very nice people and always greeting us. Maintenance is amazing. I’ve lived here over 7 years and although I know I will leave one day, it won’t be this year. We feel at home living here.
My husband and I decided to move our empty nest to Dallas a few years ago...this would be our first apartment experience after 34 years of marriage. The moment we walked into Camden, we were greeted by Amber, her friendly face immediately made us feel at home! I had several questions and they were all answered with a smile. I told myself that we would only be here 6 months...well, its been almost 2 years. The staff and the maintenance team are all so wonderful. I highly recommend Camden. Youll not be disappointed :)
I love living here so much. The management at this place is stellar, they work hard to make sure their residents are happy. It’s also a great value, we got such a good deal on our apartment. The staff here is phenomenal from the office to the maintenance, and the grounds are so well kept. You will always see the groundskeeper walking around to keep things nice and tidy. They have done a lot of things to improve the community and they are appreciated, like I said the management is really what makes this place special. We love everything about this place and I would highly recommend anyone to come and live here and see for yourself just how incredible it is.
Since I moved in on short notice in February this year till now they have been amazing. The leasing office staff are all very helpful and friendly. Any time I have a maintenance problem or a question they respond quickly and handle it efficiently. Really glad I moved here and if I had to do it again I would definitely choose the same!
Moved in mid-January, been loving everything about this place. The staff is extremely nice, responsive, and fulfills maintenance orders ASAP. Great amenities at a modest price. Also great location surrounded by bars and a 5 minute scooter ride to American Airlines Arena.Update: 7 months later and I am sad to be leaving it was the best living experience I could have asked for moving from DC knowing nothing about Dallas. The entire staff was unbelievably helpful and kind. You should live here for sure!
Was peeling apples over the disposal when my sink’s pipe began leaking. Our maintenance guy Jose Villatoro came to my aid within minutes and had my problem fixed and ready to go. Like magic, lol.
Camden Design district is a fantastically run property for so many reasons. The best thing about this place is the security. They have implemented so many awesome changes like adding the door armor to each apartment, changing to a new fob system that will make it harder for anyone to enter the complex, and adding cameras throughout the entire property, just like we asked them to! That is one of the best parts about this place; they really do listen to all of your feedback and do the best they can to make all the changes to improve our living experience. The pricing here is so great, we got a killer deal on our 2 bedroom and the value is unbeatable. They also have packages delivered straight to your door, I love being able to get them as soon as I get home and not having to go looking for them anywhere. The management here is fantastic, they are always responsive and listen to every single concern that you have and always follow up with everything. That is truly the best part about this place, the management! I have always had extremely positive interactions with everyone in the office, they are always friendly and have a smile on their face and genuinely care about the happiness of their residents. The dog park here is also amazing, one of the best I have ever seen at an apartment complex. I also love the neighborhood, there are so many cool places that you can walk to just around the corner, and they all have great food and service. I would say this is the best place I have ever lived and I would highly recommend it!
Jarah is a fantastic manager. She is kind and attentive to the residents needs. She helped us through hard times during this pandemic. The world needs more people like her! I would recommend renting at Camden Design District
Ive lived at almost a dozen different apartment complexes over the last decade. So far, this one is the best by far. Andrew Smith and Amber Lopez have been amazing to work with. They were very patient and helpful while I found the perfect unit for me (Im very picky). My apartment is amazing. Its very spacious and modern. Most importantly, its quiet. I dont hear people walking above or below me because the apartment is perfectly insulated. The community is also very quiet, which is important for a professional who needs a blissful environment to come home to. Also, my balcony is ENORMOUS!The trash service is also very useful. The only trick is that you have to put your bins out between 6 and 8pm, which can be difficult for a professional with a busy schedule.I signed a 16 month lease and hope to call this place home for the next few years.
The entire team at Design District are my favorite people when it comes to leasing in DFW. I’ve leased several times before and been on their side of the table as well. No gimmicks, just a customer centric experience. Initial contact was pleasant and the entire team is approachable. Follow up after your initial contact is focused on helping the customer make a good decision, even if not Camden. The maintenance team is prompt and clean. Any time there is a community issue- someone from the team always responds to all residents with the issue, the current plan to action and any resolutions. We are never left in dark. Not all Management policies and community rules will be embraced but the entire team in my opinion goes above and beyond to help us feel at home. There motive is to ensure we have the best experience overall. Thanks Camden Design District!
I was locked out of my apartment late at night and Jose the groundskeeper did such a great job getting me back into my apartment. He responded very quickly even though it was really late, and was very nice. He made sure my apartment was safe before leaving. I really appreciate it!! Great place to live
Great place to live. Convenient to all parts of Dallas. Views, high ceilings, nice balconies, beautiful fun pool. Nice dog park. Gym, club house and even a spin/yoga room. The maintenance crew is second to none. Amazing sound proof walls. I never hear my neighbors. Very excited to have any out of town visitors stay right next door at the Virgin! Dallas Design District and Camden, the place to be.
I have lived in a Camden for years and always had a pleasant experience. I have had normal pop ups that come with living in an apartment and every time the staff has always been very kind. The area has definitely changed over the last year or so but definitely for the better. This neighborhood is becoming more popular, but that is to be expected with the Dallas market and location. Maintenance has always been incredible at Camden, and this community is no different. They are so fast and sweet, I never have to wonder or worry when something comes up. This community recently started accepting packages again and I think its a great idea. I appreciate the consistency of Camden over the years and despite the negative comments on the resident websites, I think the community and staff are wonderful. People dont seem to know what its like to really live in a bad place with poor customer service. We will be getting a house soon, but I think they deserve kudos.
Just moved in and have been loving it so far! Management staff have great communication to residents about events going on, or any issues that arise. Location is great!
I truly love living here at Camden Design District. It is a beautiful community that is extremely well kept and the customer service is beyond fantastic. Amber leased to me and was great at making it an easy process. Since living here Ive gotten to know Meredith the Property Manager and Andrew the Assistant Manager. I absolutely love them! They are always so friendly when I come into the office and more than willing to help with whatever they can. I recommend this place to anyone looking to live in the Dallas area. There is so much to do within walking distance, easy access to the tollway and 35, and they recently added controlled access to the interior of the building so even if someone gets in the parking garage by following someone in, they wont be able to get into the building unless they live here. With so many options in Dallas for apartments its hard to make a decision so let me make it a little easier on you...this one should be at the top of the list!
I visit Camden often to see some friends. Its honestly a beautiful community! Very clean, the staff is very friendly, and professional. They have a way of making you feel at home.
Beautiful community, wonderful amenities and a world class experience. I moved in January from the suburbs and this has been a wonderful transition. The maintenance staff are on point with issues...anytime Ive requested assistance they are usually there same day and dont have to come back. The office staff have been great, always asking how my apartment is and showing genuine interest in my experience. Overall, I always tell people to check this place out FIRST when they come into the area...its a gem and I love it. Everyone should come by and check it out firsthand, you wont be disappointed.
I love living here. The management is super nice and responsive to questions. They also plan many great events for the community like cookie bars and breakfasts. Its located next to some of my favorite restaurants and within walking distance of the AAC. The maintenance team is WONDERFUL and quickly fix any problems I have no matter how big or small!
Camdens Maintenance are always great help! This morning Jose did a wonderful job helping me with the dishwasher, it works wonders.Thank you!
Toured here on a Sunday. Really liked the property, they were very focused on my needs. Staff was very friendly even as we walked around the property. Shout to my tour guide Zomara. She did awesome!
Edgar and the rest of the Maintenance staff continue to do an excellent job serving our community. Everyone is so helpful and considerate. I recently put in a service request for assistance w a chirping smoke alarm and Edgar made sure it was resolved quickly, and fixed 3 other minor issues while he was servicing the alarms. Thank you for everything!!
I am incredible happy with Camden Design District! I have had my fair share of terrible apartment experiences, but Camden has been awesome! The apartments themselves are beautiful and are all updated. Camdens prices are extremely affordable and the amenities are great. The pool is gorgeous and looks like its a resort pool. Anytime I have had an issue, the staff have been extremely gracious and helpful. They are the friendliest people I have encountered in any apartment complex. Its also in a perfect spot! This is a fantastic apartment complex...hands down!-Mary M.
I lived at Camden Design District for 3 years while I completed my schooling at UT Southwestern and all I can say is THANK YOU CAMDEN! The location is perfect... super close to the Medical District, walking distance to the AA Stadium, and a quick Uber to Uptown. Plus there are lots of new restaurants nearby (Pie Tap anyone?) and a coffee shop across the street. The staff was beyond friendly and always willing to help. The maintenance staff completed requests efficiently and courteously. Oh, and did I mention the beautiful pool, public BBQ grills, and top notch fitness center? This place truly had everything I could have asked for so if youre considering this community... look no further! You wont regret your stay here!
Amanda the Mgr is outstanding and the rest of the staff is kind friendly. The maintenance staff is also prompt and efficient. I am a current resident and also appreciate the new amenities that are being added for the property.
I have been living at Camden Design District for six months now and I absolutely love it. You get exactly what you pay for in terms of convenience: proximity to popular areas such as Uptown and Downtown, right off a major freeway (I-35), modern decor/appliances, gated entry and key FOB access, covered parking, washer & dryer, and valet trash (which at first I was opposed to, but it really keeps the bugs away and it is offered five days a week). We receive discounts as Camden residents at the nearby restaurants which is very cool. The staff is also very friendly and very accessible, being open seven days a week and having an after hours call line. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because there is A LOT of construction happening right now in preparation for the opening of the Virgin hotel across the street so I havent exactly had a good nights rest since moving in since my apartment faces toward that side of the street (Turtle Creek entrance), and I work on the days the construction workers are off (Sundays). We also had a brief uptick of car break-ins and package stealing right around Thanksgiving. Our leasing office staff brought in Dallas PD to speak with the residents about it and have had crime watch meetings every month even before this happened. The stealing magically stopped as Christmas got closer, but we havent had any reports since so I am happy about that! Camden is currently in the process of building a yoga and spin studio on the property across from the gym and have also partnered with a Tide dry cleaning service, so I anticipate rent prices will likely go up because of that :( However, I would say those complaints are not bad ones to have and the Camden staff is always on top of resident suggestions and complaints, working with us closely and personally to provide a seamless experience. I fully plan to renew my lease come June if these new amenities dont skyrocket the rent!!
My husband and I moved in a few months ago and we couldnt be happier! It is a very quiet place to live and the residents happiness is key to the staff. Chris Beasley in the office was so helpful in answering all of our questions and always has a smile on his face! If you are looking for a place to call home, I would highly recommend it here! It is modern, beautiful, convenient location, and quiet!
I love living at Camden Design District. It is beautiful and so close to great eateries and night life. In the office Asia, Amber, Andrew and Amanda have been great to us. Maintenance has been expediential as well! As an employee, I strive to provide great customer service as the Design District staff does.
Jose Villatoro and Hildo Molina on the maintenance team stayed late the other evening to help me with my apartment door locks. They made sure I was good to go before heading home. I am super appreciative of the fantastic maintenance team here!
I have been recommending this fantastic community to all my friends for numerous reasons:1. The office team here is amazing. They’re friendly, outgoing and give outstanding customer service. They know you by name and make you feel special. They’re also fantastic at communiting to residents by notifying and setting up reminders of upcoming events.2. Maintenance team is always on top of things. Service requests are completed that same day or promptly (depending on the situation). It’s not always easy to find good maintenance staff- but these guys are great at what they do.3. The amenities such as the gorgeous pools, fitness studio, & most recently the renovated clubhouse.4. Community events are always a thing here! So nice to come out and get to know your neighbors as well as informing oneself of upcoming changes happening within the community.5. The amenities in the apartments are so nice. Stained concrete floors, washer/dryer included, premium views, and spacious floorplans are just some of the few to mention.Definitely a place worth checking out!Thank you office team for making my living experience a wonderful one.
The Camden Staff at Design District was top notch! Meredith looked very professional and the team was very helpful in making sure that the move in was as easy and comfortable as possible. Quick and easy to apply and get moved in. Im glad i chose a property that sincerely cares about their residents! Thank everyone !!!!
My Husband and I have lived all over Dallas - Lakewood, Downtown, other design district apartments. Camden is by far the best place we have lived! The staff is so helpful, all service needs are typically met within the day you report it, and the property is always clean! Safety and location are main concerns. The parking garages and all entry ways stayed locked at all times. The location is perfect! Minutes from downtown, uptown, Klyde Warren Park, American Airlines Center and the Dallas North Tollway. The extra bonus is the dog park! Highly recommended.Reynolds #146
This by far has been the best experience Ive had. Fidel was nice and professional and offered me the best apartment and helped me set up all of my accounts. Furthermore the apartment complex is amazing!
I am in my third lease at Camden Design District and I love it. The maintenance staff is excellent, completing any service requests quickly and with a smile. The grounds and pool areas are always clean and inviting. They are pet friendly and even have a large, private dog park just for residents that our puppy loves! There is a trash pickup service that is very convenient--all we have to do is set our trash outside our door and it is picked up for us five nights a week. The parking garage is conveniently located at the center of the community and they even offer reserved parking spaces. Packages are either left in package lockers or left at my door, which makes my life a lot easier. The apartments here are completely upgraded with modern fixtures. We have stainless steel appliances and flat top stoves. The granite countertops look great and are easy to keep clean. Ceiling fans help keep the place cool in the summer months. Modern track lighting and pendant lighting also look great. The ground floor apartments have polished concrete floors that are very easy to take care of, especially with pets. The fitness center and business center are updated and the pool is gorgeous.I would recommend Camden Design District to anybody looking for a new home at a well-managed community.
This is the best community I have ever lived at! The property is well kept, it’s next to awesome restaurants, and the staff is AMAZING!
Dont forget to up your renters and car insurance before you move in! Oh and your packages? Forget about those. The font office wont accept them and anything left at your front door is almost guaranteed to be stolen. Why should you wait until you live here and are locked into a lease to hear about all the crime? Here is a brief overview of a few of the announcements sent out by Camden management:April 6, 2016We have been made aware that there was a home invasion at our community this morning. The property and management office are both very good, but they recently passed down an arbitrary decision to stop accepting ANY package shipments to the office. In other words, stuff either makes it to your front door, or you have to run in town to pick it up. This is unlike most apartment complexes I am aware of. Considering some of the units rent here for upwards of $2k, Im pretty shocked and wouldnt recommend the property to anyone who does a lot of online ordering.
Toured the property, SO NICE!!! Staff was very friendly. Assistant managers were so helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough. I love it and I cannot wait to sign a lease hopefully soon!
Have been living here for almost 10 months now.Had issues and news of break ins in the beginning but now the authorities are taking appropriate actions to increase the security.Very happy with the location and esp the maintenence staff. Very prompt and all service request get resolved in a day.The only problem now is the construction going on turtle creek side of the building that gets too noisy during early morning hours.Else, very happy with the apartment overall.
Great maintenance team! All of the guys are very courteous and helpful but Jose is always exceptional!
One of my favorite things about Camden are the events and resident activities they always do in the office! From the mixers and happy hours to the doggy parties and now with the gift wrapping station, I love how they are always trying to offer tokens of their appreciation!!! Thank you!!!
Our maintenance team is amazing. Anytime I have an issue they fix immediately. Thank you so much for your service!
We have loved living at Camden design district. The maintenance staff and office staff (especially Amber!) are awesome!
Very professional and courteous staff!!! Clean facilities and great location. Always a property to show when looking near downtown and design district!! Check them out!!!
This property has great management! The maintenance team is so friendly and gets your request done by the next day . I love this area and everything it has to offer . The management team always does fun events to meet new people in your community !
I have been a happy and loyal tenant at Camden for the last four years, but now that I am trying to relocate for my job, they are gouging the cost for me to move out. I have to pay close to $3000 JUST TO MOVE OUT: $1000 (one months rent) for the cancellation fee for leaving my lease early + $1000 for another month of rent because I only gave 30 day notice instead of the 60 days they require + another $700 for water bills even though I wont even be living there to use any water??!!I have lived in many different apartments but I have never had to pay this much just to move out. And I live in a studio, so my rent is cheaper, if you live in a 1 or 2 bedroom, you could end up paying 4-5k JUST TO MOVE OUT despite giving a 30 day notice.I really enjoyed living at Camden up until this point. I would warn anyone whos living here to plan their move out carefully, as they have very punitive policies.
My friends C & A moved into this place recently. Cool property! Great location! Just across the street from the under construction Virgin Hotel!! It is gonna be so COOL!!!
Went in with a friend who was looking to move in, was blown away by how beautiful the place is that I’m looking to move in now! Blakelee was so courteous and helpful, she answered all of our questions. My last complex was full of rude staff and it was a breath of fresh air to deal with someone so professional.
I loved living here, the staff and management, down to the maintenance staff are always so helpful! Camden properties is nationwide recognized!
I moved into the Camden Design District in January 2016. I absolutely loved the location and my apartment itself. The office staff was amazing to work with.A month+ ago, my car was broken into in the garage. I made my police report, etc. Did everything I was supposed to do. A couple weeks after that, I received a phone call from the Assistant Manager letting me know she was checking storages and found mine to be open. Low and behold, when I got home to look, that had been broken into as well. Made another police report - was told by the officer he was just out two days ago for the storage room right around the corner.Monday, September 5, 2016, I went back to my storage room to take some stuff down and bring some stuff back, and there it stood wide open AGAIN! Fortunately, I had not replaced all the stuff that was stolen the first time.I have asked the office about my options to be released from my lease and I received a no to that request. I understand - rules are rules. However, when is enough - enough?Weve ordered new locks - they said? My response - apparently these arent getting here quick enough.Weve upped our security - they said? My response - apparently not enough. On a positive note, again, I love the location, love my apartment and the maintenance staff is the BEST ever; however, feeling safe in your own home is very important - if I must say so myself.I dont want to move - what I want is Camden to step up to the plate and do what needs to be done to take care of its residents.
The structure of the building is great with an attached garage for each floor. This building is in a great location off of i35 and oak lawn. Is youre looking to live close to downtown this is a good location. The buildings are setup in hotel sky rise type of setting. Also close to the American Airlines Center. There is a media room, fitness center, swimming pool, and sitting area. Great location for those without kids, even though i have seen a small chold on site before. Im not sure if this area is close to any public or private schools, but it is close to El Centro college in downtown. Several eatery, massage parlors, Nail shops, and gas stations are in walking distance.
Maintenance is lightning fast and always responds same day. Very reliable and personable service-best people to work with 100%.
Not a fan. I feel like my every move here is watched for or by management and then little memos emailed out If you dont do this or that we will fine you and city will too.I dont like how everyone flees the dog park as I approach. I dont understand why some people with dogs just think because my dog is barking at their dog that she wants to eat them, when all she is doing is exactly the same thing their dog is doing, barking, she just a bit bigger.Had a grease fire, small one contained to a pot, as I tossed flour on it went out but a single sprinkler went off for over two hours. Two hours of flooding. Two There is no way to easily shut them off. So roughly 20k worth of stuff damaged sat in the apartment from their water. Do they offer to put me up temporarily in another unit, no they could have cared less.1st time i have seen an apartment complex with charcoal grills. Not gas like everywhere else, charcoal.Take a ride in the elevators, esp the northwest one. While it is moving just take a couple jumps to shake the elevator, be prepared, it gets choked up, drops about a foot, is confused where it wants to go and almost gets stuck.Oh and my $90 water bills. They have been out to fix but no luck.Dumb rent payment policies, if you forget (it happens) they lock out your electronic payment methods to pay your rent, dumb because it is probably the most reliable method of receiving funds, I can understand not accepting any checks but stopping electronic payment is just plain stupid
I LOVE this apartment. The management and maintenance team are always helpful and friendly, and I love the layout of my apartment as well!
I moved in a couple months ago (158) and so far this is a wonderful place! The office staff are incredibly nice, as are the maintenance guys (Ive had them out a few times to fix what wasnt quite right from the previous renter). Each time theyve been here, theyve been very pleasant, even going so far to ask if there was anything else I needed them to check while they were there. The complex feels very safe and clean, and I love being close to some really great little food places nearby. It does get a little loud at times as my unit faces Turtle Creek (traffic noise), and occasionally I wonder what my upstairs neighbor is doing as I can hear loud thumping/walking (hey, its an apartment complex after all, youre bound to hear some of the folks around you), but overall the noise level is low. They have designated parking spots for an additional fee; however, so far I have never really had an issue finding a spot when I come home later in the evening. While I do appreciate the convenience of having the valet trash service (which is an addition to the rental price), I would prefer the ability to opt in or out of this service. I really do not find it inconvenient to carry my trash to the dumpster on my way out, but thats just me. There are many folks who may appreciate this amenity.
Camden is charging me over $500 for damages done by the Dallas Police Department.
Great experience touring the apartment, all staff was very nice and they were very accommodating and understanding when I wanted to move in the same day I toured.
Wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worst enemy. we get emails weekly that another apartment or car has been broken into and cars stolen. it’s overpriced and they try to charge you for every little thing. there’s also cockroaches. don’t live here PERIOD.
Location is great, however there is NO peace of mind living here. The security staff is incompetent, all they do is walk around texting. Meanwhile one of the residents home was broken into. Break ins are occurring on a weekly basis. I understand crime is an issue in the whole city, but the community needs to add locks from the garage to the main buildings.
Great location, amenities, floor plans, and FANTASTIC management! I love this place!
Camden Design District is a very poorly run establishment for a few reasons I will highlight below. The main issues with this property are safety concerns and poor management.1. SafetyFor the 12 months I lived at Camden cars disappeared from the garage left and right and apartments broken into. There were very few details revealed about how they were stolen and when and it took MONTHS before changes were implemented to stop. Imagine living at a place where it’s a very real thought that your car may not be there in the morning or your apartment trashed after work? I never felt safe in my apartment or complex.Management will reply saying that it’s a symptom of living in the city and rising crime rates, however there a places with similar rent prices and far less crime.2. Poor ManagementIt boils down to management being lazy because of the corporate structure. They do not accept packages (which are also frequently stolen) except for one month during Christmas.... if you can accept packages for one month why not all twelve...? Prepare yourself to make many trips to the post office to track down basically everything you order! They NEVER answer the phone. Literally never. So prepare to walk down to the office to speak with a very rude employee for even the most basic of questions.TDLR:: apartments broken into, cars stolen, packages stolen, lazy Mgmt, DO NOT LIVE HERE.
We unfortunately did not end of leasing here but the property is beautiful and Andrew was so very accommodating and helpful ! Very quick to respond, straight forward and fun to work with! Thanks Andrew
Amber is the absolute best, she was so helpful from finding the right apartment to move in day.
Good place to live in overall. Pretty fancy, big apartments even though it is quite expensive as amenities are not super impressive (the gym is pretty small)
Pro - Great Dog Park, Great Maintenance, Convenient LocationCon - Next to a Firehouse (Firetrucks once or twice a day), No longer accepts mail delivery if you are at work (have to re-deliver or go pick it up from USPS).
Blakelee (leasing agent) should learn some manners. Sat there for 15 minutes before she even acknowledged I was in the room with her.
If you need a place to call home or dont like where you currently live, look no further than Camden Design District! It is the place in Dallas to call home.
A month after we moved here Camden Trust (corporate) decided it would no longer receive packages for tenants. Now our halls are littered with boxes and I have to make weekly trips to the post office. When confronted by a 70+ tenants petition from CDDA and 200+ from Farmers Market, Camden basically told us tough, live with it. Many of us are getting tired of lost packages, the terrible hours at the post office, and Camdens lack of concern.Furthermore, many of the tenants that welcomed us into the community are now leaving because of rate hikes. Dont expect to stay here past your first lease unless youre willing to shell out a couple hundred extra bucks a month stay and god help you if your lease is up in the summer.
Besides the constant car thefts you also have the worry about people breaking into your actual apartment. The front desk ladies are condescending and come off very rude. The staff has terrible hospitality from front desk to the pool guy. Plus the constant fees they accumulate from the curropt valet trash system. I highly recommend not moving to these apartments.
Ive lived here for 3 months and Im over all a fan. Most people stay to themselves around here (which I am okay with). I dont really hear much except the occasional dog barking (which is going to happen anywhere!) It is very pet friendly around here. I havent had much interaction with the staff but the slim times I have, I havent had any issues. The complex stays clean and if you see something that needs some attention to or you see something that management needs to know about, they have a phone number you can call to make them aware and they seem to be quick to handle it. They have a bunch of floor plans to choose from. It is overall a perfect place for me right now bc its location is perfectly right off of 35 and the tollway. and easy to get to any highway or Downtown but is far enough out of the way that there isnt too much cluster around the complex. I do love that you need a clicker to gain access when getting around the complex (whether walking or driving in). The one downside to that is when I am walking my dog (especiallu at night), I find it alittle complicated to get the clicker and door to work correctly in letting me back into the gate. It can get alittle frustrating and most of us feel dumb standing there not knowing which button is going to work lol. I see numerous people having the same complication when trying to get into the mail room or to get back in the gate.Overall, I am happy here and would definitely recommend a friend to live here :)
Really nice apts in the design district.
Cool apartment community I checked out
