Canby Cinema has really had a hard time with COVID just like all other businesses but they really did an awesome job helping keep some fun in our community during this time. Now that times are starting to amend I’m really happy they are continuing some of their COVID traditions like the “Family Mystery Movie Combo”. This is something my family and I enjoy even though we are looking forward to actually going to see a movie in the theater as well! Thank you Canby Cinema 8!!!🤓

This is one of the most underrated movie theaters Ive ever been to. It is hands down my first choice when going to see any First Run movie. All the employees seem way more invested in their jobs then your typical Regal employee. Also I went to a Regal theater down the road last night and the sound was abhorrent. They must have had blown speakers or poorly tuned amps. Regardless, those big chain theaters cant hold a candle two smaller theaters like this one.

I have now come here multiple times to see favorite movies here, and I loved the experience! The staff is so nice, and they have very comfortable seats, but I do have one question, are you guys still open by any chance? My family and I have been planning to come back there again, but since the pandemic showed up, it closed down. So I was wondering if your doors are open again? Thank You! 💖

Great theater, smaller but more personable. During this unprecedented time they have gone above and beyond to serve the community. The mystery movie box is a great deal and a lot of fun for the family!

Kids liked it not many other people so the kids run around and act all crazy before the movie starts to get there energy out. They like to bring pillows and blankets and wear pajamas and stuff to the late night movies. The staff seems cool even though we made a big mess with all this popcorn. I thought its pretty cool you can rent the theater to play video games.

It’s alright, not the best cinema I’ve ever been to but it’s pretty nice going in during the day on a week day because then you most likely will get the whole theater to yourself! It’s usually not very busy at all. Although I do have to give this place a bad review because I’ve had bad experiences with employees, them being rude to me and giving constant attitude.

A smaller scale cinema with very reasonable movie tickets and snacks cost. Service is awesome! Popcorn is delish!! Pretzel and hot dogs available too.

Everything is the way you we would hope a theater would be plus, there are no crowds! The popcorn is good, movies up to date, bathrooms clean, and I dont get squished in my seat! 5 stars, thank you Canby Cinema!

A great little theater

It’s got good ticket prices and the food and drinks were not to expensive, very family friendly. This cinema isn’t crowded like other places where your stock looking for a place to sit.

I love the summer kids program. Great way to get community involved. Parents can take small kids and its a wonderful way for them to enjoy a movie they like and learn theater etiquette.

Prices hard to beat on all day Tuesday and discounts for seniors. Shows are recent releases. Clean theater, good snacks. You may want to bring some ear plugs for the action movies! Never overly packed! So you always have a choice of a great seat.

Not a bad small town theater. Unfortunately the theater lost power from a passing thunderstorm. We were given free passes and the movie did continue about 10 min later after power returned. Overall clean and easy in and out.

We love that there is a theater in Canby. They have very good prices, service, and cleanliness! I Love their popcorn.

Great place. Never had a bad experience with the employees here, lines are usually quick. The only thing i wouldnt recommend is the food, especially popcorn and slushy. For some reason both gives tummy issues for me, my friends, and family, meaning regular trips away from the movie. The nacho also tastes like plastic. But if you dont go there hungry expect a decent time!

My favorite theatre in the area. I drive out of my way to go here because the staff is awesome, the seats are comfy and the prices are incredible. I am a little hesitant writing a good review as one of my most cherished amenities is offered here, small crowds of good movie going folk. I never hear talking or get distracted by other patrons here. The previews are short and the theatres are kept clean. I will continue to love this place as long as it keeps up the awesomeness.

3 staff members in the back of the concession stand playing around while our movie was 15 minutes late to start, my husband went to find out what was going on and found 4 people waiting in the lobby for service. All the staff still playing around in the back. Finally got our movie started 20 minutes late but none of the staff bothered to tell anyone in the next showing that it was going to start late so we had multiple people walking in at the end of the movie not knowing what was going on.

Great service, very quick to buy tickets and find the movie. The screen was damaged in the lower left corner which was a little distracting and there were 2 seats that were down for maintenance. Otherwise, great experience

I really love this theatre, its staff are always nice, and it has great theatres.My only real complaint is that they dont allow you to buy tickets through Fandango and I worry they will go out of business since they are always pretty quiet.Hopefully the owners partner with a digital ticket provider to keep the great theatre running.

Fair prices on both movie tickets and concessions. Stadium style seating so everyone can see. Good variety in movie selection.

Be aware that this movie theater does not open its doors until 20 min before the first showing. Absurdly, the time of opening is not posted on the website, building or on their answering machine. The only way I found out was by calling and asking. The only other way would be to look online at what their earliest showing is and calculate the opening time from there. Additionally, I had to go out and ask for them to actually start playing the movie. The staff here do not have the best communication or soft skills. The staff are usually young kids, but I hope their employer can teach them how to interact with customers. The movie theater and price are good. They just missed the mark concerning customer engagement.

I love this theater. Its low-key, the prices are lower and the kids that work there are all very nice and respectful.

We went on $5 Tuesdays to End Game that has barely been out a week. Good pricing at the concession bar too. Friendly staff. Simply an event that would be difficult to beat for the cost anywhere else.

Cute little cinema but its definitely not updated like many cinemas these days. Cant really complain for a small town theatre though!

Went to see Avengers End Game and there was an unexpected power surge shut down every movie. The staff was very helpful. They quickly went about getting the movies back to their spot in time. They even offered refund tickets to people that just wanted to come back another time. Keep this local theatre going. They have discounts on Tuesdays. This will always be the cheapest option for seeing it on the big screen, which is great for fickle toddlers.

What a great theater ! Easy to get to; plenty of parking, clean and so CHEAP compared now to Regal. IM BOYCOTTING REGAL after they increased the prices yet again to $9. So Ill be a constant customer at Canby Cinema.

Like a mini version of a big Cinema Plex, lots of screens yet each has a pretty small seating area. Suited us just fine.

A small screen theater, clean and well maintained. My only negative experience was with the drink I ordered from the soda fountain was undrinkable, it had a moldy / mildew taste.

This is a great place to go watch a movie. The staff is friendly and helpful. The cost of the movie is the same as other places but the matinee extends to 5:50 which is better than most.

Exactly what you expect in a small town theater. Great place to take the kids to see a movie. Smiling high school kids running the cash stand and selling top notch popcorn.

Love the Canby Cinema. Always clean and comfortable. Prices are reasonable and the staff is are always polite. Truly a nice, low key, place to enjoy the full screen experience.

Love this local movie house. It is run by the city. Reasonable ticket prices, cheap eats when compared to other places and clean. It will get busy on the weekends but if you like movies you might be able to watch one during the week nights by yourself or with very few people in the theater. The claw game almost always gives out prizes. The only down side is that some of the theaters are small but worth it.

This is the only movie theatre that my family and I visit. The prices are phenominal and save us tons of money. But the staff they hire are so friendly and courteous.

Popcorn wasnt fresh. It was later like 11pm. Movie was loud, theater dark and decent seating.

The staff is kind and helpful but the theater is filthy the chairs are stained and cup holders usually have sticky goo in them. It just needs to have some deep cleaning.

I never have liked movie theaters because they are so expensive. The prices for the tickets being 7 bucks for a normal matinee is reasonable. The food is way to much because its like 3 or 4 bucks for a dollar tree grab... overall not a bad place though to watch a good movie

Local business, fair prices on admission and snacks. Smaller theaters, but decent quality sound and clean for a movie theater. (Wouldnt eat food off the floor, but your feet dont stick to it either). Plus its not stupid regal, AMC, etc. The way theaters were in the good old days.

Perfect little theater in our small town. Always kept clean really cheap tickets on Wednesday. On top of that theyre almost always playing a movie you want to see.

Ticket and snack sales at same register slows both. Would appreciate a speedier process. I love the theater, but NOT standing in line as someone at the counter orders snacks for themselves and a bunch of kiddies.

Decent theater but not a regal. We sat in the theater for about 20 minutes when the movie had still not started. This was 20 minutes past start time at this point. About 5 minutes after I called they came in and told me they did not have the keys yet to start the movie. They were not sure how long it would take to get them so I just said I wanted a refund. After gathering all of our items the worker rushed back in and said they had gotten them and would skip the previews. The whole experience was very unprofessional and I was never offered any coupons or passes for my inconvenience. It is very unlikely that I will return.

I found a needle in the game cart while waiting for my wife staff always soooo rude no customer service at all. wheres the smile enjoy the movie there pop corn they put in garbage bags in the back and resale it the next day never will be back again

What a dive. We saw the new StarWars and it was obvious to me one of the subwoofers is blown in the theater (was loudly rattling), which ruined the whole experience.
