Management at 100W Chestnut is highly respectable and helpful. The resident service manager was very informative and transparent during the lease signing process. Cheers!
I was searching for a new residence for my golden doodle and me as I start law school this fall in the area. 100 West Chestnut is walking distance to the university, centrally located to the red and brown lines, steps from the beach and shopping off the mag mile.I strongly recommend touring the building with Clayton. He is professional and knowledgeable about the area and the building. In addition, I contacted him during the transition as I needed assistance on elevator times and utility set-up. He is very helpful!
The building management was wonderful and really nice to talk to. The door staff take the time to know the tenants by name and form a relationship with them and even reoccurring guests. I cannot say enough about the quality of the staff at the apartment complex. The only issue I had was in the spring, summer and fall the window screens arent properly in place allowing for some bugs to get into your apartment. And in the winter the heat is so high sometimes my apartment got to about 80 degrees, even with the windows open. Even with those two things I would recommend the apartment as it is kept very clean, maintenance is very nice and does quality work, and management really cares about the tenants.
Great place and staff
Always full of surprises. Last year they raised rent by 6% and started charging tenants water, sewage and trash which was included in the rent when I signed a lease 6 years ago. This year they raised the rent by 12% - or a total of 18% in just two years)/. Always changing management and are not customer friendly. Last summer it took them 3 months to fix a maintenance request. Décor is of the 60s - dark and dingy. Red leather furniture in the lobby that was popular 40 years ago. Night doorman is old and sleeps on the job. Other doormen are good and do an excellent job.
