This is a bit of an odd review: I never actually moved into my S. Woodlawn apartment. Due to some changes in circumstances, I had to break the lease, which I had already signed, the day before move-in day. I tried finding someone to assume my lease, but I wasnt able to make it happen. In addition to paying rent for my first month, the contractual penalty for breaking the lease was supposed to be two months rent--a pretty standard amount, from what I hear. But after finding out that I couldnt find someone to take my lease over, the rental company let me completely off the hook: no penalty. I really appreciate that. I was in a tough spot, and Plaisance definitely couldve taken advantage of that; they would have had the legal right to do so. But they gave me a break, and I am grateful! So I cant say anything about the apartment itself, but the company did right by me, and thats not always how these things go.

Ms. Willis is the Assistant Property Manager in the building that I live in. She is the best. She is always available and always so pleasant to speak to over the phone. Anytime I have an issue, I can call her up or send an email and she response back instantly. If its in her power to fix she will definitely go above and beyond to make sure your issues are handled in a timely manner. She is the BESTTTTTTT thing that ever happen to the Plaisance. Thanks for all that you do Ms.Willis

Pro: The Building manager(s) were more than helpful when I had a request and the move in-move out process went as good as I could have hoped for. As a student, I was happy overall with the experience for 2 years span I was there. I referred my friends to live there and would recommend it.Con: Old building that could use some more modern upgrades

Good morning, I have been living here for over 15+years and I must say that Marrion is one of the best managers we have had in a long time. She cares about her residents and this building I do ap for Draper and Kramer and its hard to keep good managers that the residents feel comfortable and safe with, she is very knowledgeable and takes good care of this building I call her sunshine and the energizing bunny always with a smile and always moving.
