No apartment is perfect problems I’ve had the apartment doesn’t have much control over but hey I’ve never seen a bug and maintenance is always helpful. Besides hearing my upstairs neighbor walk sometimes which is a given, walls are pretty thick! The renovated apartments are really nice too! The grounds are maintained very well! The office management is friendly and helpful as well. Definitely recommend.

Ive lived here since I moved here from Hawaii 6 years ago. It was easy to apply online from Hawaii. I love it here. Its safe, quiet and the staff are always on top of things. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have a good system of communication and keeping us up to date with natural disasters, or other factors that affect our living conditions. Shout out to Karla especially, for keeping things organized with her follow up every time Ive had to call on a service order.

I have lived in Kingsbridge on 3 separate occasions over the years. The office staff is amazing! Always friendly & quick to assist. I had a few maintenance requests lately & the staff is working on a skeleton crew due to Covid but they completed everything right away. They were very efficient & easy to work with. I’ve never left a review before so it’s about time. Kudos to ALL the staff!!

The first time I rented from kingsbridge I had a good experience. This time I am having a horrible experience. The only thing that keeps me here is my childrens school. I have had issues with my AC, Rodents, the Dishwasher, the Washer and Dryer and Mold. I have had meetings with maintenance supervisor, everyone in the leasing office is aware but they still have not fixed the problems. I have tried to contact corporate as well but I never get a call back. All they care about is money. I requested to be transferred to another unit 2 months ago not only do they want to charge me a transfer fee as if I am not going thru enough, they have been giving me the run around say nothing is available. I am completely disappointed and disgusted about they way I have been treated here. I hope this review warns other and motivates Kingsbridge Lawsons company to do better......I have read the reply for my review and this is just the company response to cya (cover your a**).There was no in person meeting I had to go in the office screaming and crying to get any assistance which makes me feel like Kingsbridge is not doing there best. The bare minimum is done. They want to hide behind emails and auto replys but no one is doing any follow ups to see if the work is really being done. Slum lords do exist in companys and with private owned properties. Beware. Understand that it is all about the money. This is a shi**y complex for lack of better words. I will continue to pay my rent in full and on time until I can relieve myself from this nightmare.

I have lived here now for three years and just moved from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom with a new 15-month lease. I couldnt be happier and have never had any issues. Karla Medina has been my leasing agent since I first came to Kingsbridge and she has been amazing. Any maintenance requests have been handled promptly and efficiently. Last summer, my AC went out and I made a call at 4:30 pm. By 6:00 pm, my AC was fixed and never had another issue. I do agree that the parking spots need repainting but that is all.

I love these apartments, great community, people are nice, the only negative side is that it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get another apartment. I lived in a 1 bedroom for a year and I was late on rent 1 time! By 4 days because I was out of state. I tried to get a 2 bedroom and was denied because of that one time! Which is ridiculous.I tried to get my sister to move to these apartments as well but they denied her because of a eviction she had 2 years ago, but crazy thing is she got accepted at a nicer place Fenwyck Manor Apartments no problem and they didn’t look at her different because of eviction, since she does make a lot of money.Kingsbridge should really change their policy because there is nicer places that WONT judge you based on a past history or payment problem.

I moved in a little over a month ago. It’s a nice community that is well maintained. Any issues I have had within the home or community have promptly been addressed by maintenance and office staff. Repairs were performed promptly and with open communication as to what and when repairs would occur. The only concern I have at this time is the lighting within the community in Kingsbridge North as a few street lights would help improve lightning as it gets dark and the only lighting currently comes from porch lights.

Overall a great place to call home!Maintenance is done quickly whenever a call is put in. Grounds are maintained pretty well, dog stations everywhere although many residents neglect to pickup after their pets. Playground is nice for little ones, pool is fantastic - lifeguard on duty and half the pool is shallow enough to let little ones play on their own. Wish the complex had a small gym instead of tennis courts though - that would be amazing!! One parking spot per apartment is better than no assigned parking at all like other places... so, overall no complaints :)

Good luck finding parking for visitors in this place! I tried to visit a friend (after 5pm) and there were NO visitor spots. I parked along the curb just for about 15 minutes and I was TOWED while other cars in other sections of Kingsbridge were doing the same thing. Why does every apartment get only one spot? It seems that residents are taking up all the visitor spaces so they are guaranteed two spots. I dont live here, but I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Rented here a 3 bedroom unit since November and overall has been a good experience.Pros- Grounds are nicely maintained, seems rather safe and quiet. Staff has been excellent and kind. The unit itself was in pretty good shape. Appliances are a little dated but work fine. I have never seen any bugs in my unit, granted summer has not hit but think they do a great job at handling infestations, also is on part of renter to keep unit clean and not attract bugs. The price is great for sq feet and for the school district also close to shopping. Flexible lease termsCons- Parking is a nightmare is you have more than 1 vehicle but there is visitor spaces but they fill quick.Paper thin walls- You can easily hear neighbors which means they can hear you, so late night TV/radio etc can be disturbance easily because of poor sound reinforcement.Trash fills up quick and not always space to dump near you.Best thing you can do is take a look and get a feel for the place most neighbors have been very nice.

I usually do not write reviews, but in this case I have to! We have been here for 6 months and been many years since we have lived in an apartment. First from the very start the staff was simply outstanding knowledgeable, friendly, and up front with all the charges. Knowing that this was a temp apartment until our new construction was completed. They were up front about the process to break the lease (no hidden secrets) and comfortable with me breaking the lease vice could have put someone in the apartment who they knew would be there longer. The staff is wonderful everyone LISA (and the rest of the staff sorry I dont know the other staff members by name ) but I have been helped by everyone. My wife and daughter are Amazon Prime fanatics so we get packages almost daily. The staff holds the packages until we pick them up never any issues. All must understand that this is an apartment so maintenance from time to time may happen, during the summer months we had to submit maintainence request (super easy online) for AC issues and each time maintenance was at the apartment the very next day both times was simply to replace the filter. I thought parking would be an issue, but with three cars we never really have an issue unless everyone in my home gets in after 9:00 pm (hint if you have more than one vehicle who ever gets home 1st park in a visitors spot (many are close by) this will leave your assign spot open for the last person who gets home. This experience with Kingsbridge and the awesome staff has been a great experience from start to finish!..all I can say is THANK YOU!

Have been living here for several months and had a generally happy experience! Office staff is always very helpful and friendly. Neighborhood is quiet, well kept, and cute with a nice park for the kids. The location can’t be beat, you are close to the interstate but not close enough that you can hear the noise! A resident was robbed outside once and the office immediately sent out flyers providing full disclosure and offering safety tips, which was appreciated! We have one assigned parking spot per apartment, which can be frustrating since most of the apartments have at least two residents, but it is better than most places parking situation. All in all we are very happy living here and would recommend to anyone.

She is someone who is always on top of things and cares about the comfort and happiness of her residents. I also want to thank Karla for taking the time to answer all of my questions and for reaching out to maintenance when needed. I also really love the landscape of the apartment complex. The flowers and shrubbery are very nice to come home to. I also appreciate the architectural style of the apartment buildings. Unlike other apartments, not one building looks the same. The resident portal is also user-friendly. Its easy to upload payments and submit maintenance requests. Although I do wish Kingsbridge North would expand the parking lot, offer recycling options, and enhance the quality of the apartment as a whole (so I dont have to bother maintenance so much), overall I am happy to call Kingsbridge North my home.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++First Review:Kingsbridge North Apartments is a great place to live, especially if youre looking for a first-time apartment right out of college (or your parents house). I love my apartment!!! I think this community is beautiful! But, as I was moving in, the very first day, my neighbors above me were literally fighting and I could hear a woman crying and a man screaming explicits! I immediately called the front office and notified them! I was told they were going to call the police, Im not sure if they were called or not! I asked if I could move but, I was told Id have to pay a transfer fee, even though Im the one being inconvenienced! On another occasion, I complained about the noise upstairs! As of now, I have yet to here what actions were taken, if any! I notified them twice! This problem is ongoing! Theyre constantly in and out all day, slamming doors, playing loud music, and theyre up at 1, 2, and 3 oclock in the morning arguing while Im trying to sleep! Some days I want to call the police, other times I want to go knock on their door! As of now, Im done! And over it! I hate to move, since I just moved here and I actually like my apartment but, its really annoying to have to deal with this in your home, especially after a hard day at work! Coming home and relaxing for me is out of the equation! This is just my experience! I am not speaking for anyone else! As I said before, I love my apartment and the community is beautiful! I havent had any problems with the staff being rude or disrespectful! But other than the disturbance, I have no other complaints!

Love my apartment itself, but it is ridiculously overpriced. Its older, with older appliances (dishwasher is the worst thing EVER. It works but doesnt actually get anything clean and STINKS to high heaven after one use), but still charged at the highest rate. The parking is HORRIBLE. I have 2 vehicles, one assigned spot. They TOWED my second vehicle, with no warning mind you, and it cost me an entire days pay to get it back. If I had had even 1 hr warning I couldve had it moved!!! They dont care, and my unit will be available when the lease it up. I would NOT recommend this place. Id also love to use the clubhouse for gatherings, but there isnt any parking availble for guests, so thats a useless amenity.

I lived there for 8 months and having read the reviews prior to moving, I still came in with an open mind. That being said, I quickly came to understand the issues that alot of unhappy residents were having. So, I will run them down...1. Parking is HORRIBLE. Only one spot per unit and if you work long hours there is a good chance someone will park in your space illegally and the only recourse is to park outside the complex or have them towed yourself2. Drugs EVERYWHERE. I had to sleep at night with my bathroom door closed to block the smell of pot smoke coming from the vent3. Crime. My truck was broken into as were numerous other vehicles4. Bugs everywhere.5. VERY unhelpful staff. Tried repeatedly to speak with manager concerning billing issue but she was always in training.6. Shady billing practices. If you move here, you should keep a close eye on this one...my sewer charge seemed to creep up each month, and eventually doubled with no additional usage. I was told that I basically had to pay it since there were no work orders concerning plumbing...this b.s. answer was delivered by a staff member after 3 weeks of trying to get an answer. So, in conclusion, these are not merely observations or opinions, these are facts. If you are considering this property, be forewarned!

We have lived here for years and have been in 3 different apartments in this complex (upstairs to downstairs and from 2 bedroom to 3). Highly recommended it to many people. All of the ladies in the office are super helpful and are very nice. We love it here. We do not have a bug problem, our appliances work efficiently, carpet is new, maintenance does knock before they come in. I get a note on door and email if they are planning on coming and when they have finished. Yes 1 parking space is a CON but there are plenty of guest parking and they do fill up kind of quick but the office has let residents park behind the office until open hours. Playground is nice, I take my kids for walks around the kingsbridge and kingsbridge holding complex & I feel safe.-Alaina

Word of advice -do NOT make a review while still living here... or they will make you regret it. I deleted it before, so I would be left alone. We lived here from 2016-2018.This place is infested with roaches. Almost all of the apartments have them. You will see them outside of the apartments just festering around on the ground sometimes.... The previous office manager apologized for the roaches since it was an ongoing problem in our building before we moved in. I was close with my neighbors and they assured me that they had dealt with roaches many times. As soon as the new office manager took over -she claimed we were the problem. She claimed we always kept a dirty place... and that none of the other tenants had roaches (though they all told me that they did)... She tried to blame it all on me. My apartment was never filthy. I had toys and throw pillows laying around sometimes due to having a toddler, but that doesnt make a place filthy.Every place Ive lived at before and after this place - guess what --I havent had roaches at all! Only this place had roaches.. the office manager is very petty and unprofessional.Every time maintenance workers came into my apartment I would apologize for the mess my toddler had caused and they would tell me Oh trust me this is nothing. I have seen a million times worse than this. This is not a mess at all. They seemed friendly towards me even though they always oddly unlocked my windows before leaving every single time ((so please watch out for that when you move in!!)) The office manager claimed the would always report to her that my place was absolutely messy. The office manager had scheduled mandatory roach sprays every week... which led to us not even really living in our apartment anymore. We had to put everything up... and it was so annoying to have to take all of our dishes and everything back out and then put it back up again and again month after month... so that was fun. We were paying to not even really live in a place. They roach spray bleached my leather couch, my brand new dining table, the carpet behind my couch, and the wifi box...... Again -she (office manager) did not believe me despite showing her pictures before and after.. She thought I did it for whatever reason. Nothing else could have caused it. I didnt use bleach to clean my furniture. This only happened after the mandatory roach sprays. There was a Winter that we had no heat for over a week due to maintenance workers not really communicating with each other. They had the part we needed the very first day, but didnt find out until the 9th day. The apartment got to about 20-30 degrees... which is really fun for a newborn! The hospital bill was a wonderful present.Another thing about the maintenance workers is that they would also just come on in like they owned the place... maybe thats why they would sneakily unlock all the windows? Im not sure. I had an emerald ring go missing after a visit from them. They once broke a decoration of mine and glued it back together horribly and placed it in the wrong spot... I noticed immediately and checked my cameras and saw. The maintenance workers had no respect at all. With all the damages and loss we endured here -we shouldve gotten at least some rent taken off at least once.Instead we had to pay over 600 in damages after moving out when we didnt cause any damages (besides a bleached carpet... but that was the roach sprayers -not me)We cleaned everything before we left and had the office manager lie again that we didnt clean the kitchen or bathroom. Long story short it was a living Hell while living here. Thin walls. Rude staff and management. I advise anyone thinking about it to NOT move in here... the area is so-so, but its not worth it at all. It is our biggest regret still to this day. They robbed us pretty good.

The maintenance people are nice, but they take forever to get things done and we have even been told that they wouldnt get to fixing our air conditioning the day we called because it wasnt an emergency. but the fact of the matter is, with no air conditioning, the place is not legally livable, and we had to go a whole weekend with no air conditioning since they didnt think it was an emergency. the front office staff are never very friendly when i call and complain about the problems we have in our apartment. would not recommend anyone to move in here. we also have had bug issues, packages for me that were left at the office and were signed for, but they couldnt find the package that i paid for. Hell to the no do not move in here. We only chose this place because it was the cheapest in the area (Kingsbridge North). The service people come into your place uninvited without you having asked for anything done. They wont call or leave notes even though they are supposed to and the office people will believe them over you no matter what. They wont knock -they will just unlock your doors and walk on in if they dont see a vehicle in your parking spot -hopefully you arent taking a shower or something else! The windows will all be unlocked when you move in, so instantly lock them as soon as you move in rather than worry about decorating. You think youd have privacy on your deck, but the service people on carts constantly drive by every few minutes and they will stare endlessly and make it awkward (if you live on the 1st floor -2nd floor doesnt have to worry). The people at the office are shady as Hell. Packages that go to the office do go missing. Have fun losing something you bought or that someone else bought for you that could possibly be expensive. There are fleas due to squirrels living in the vents. You hear them all night and day scurrying in the vents around and above you. There are roaches on your move in day that love the day, but eventually stick to only coming out at night so they wont be killed by you obviously. You have to PAY to get your place sprayed, which they dont tell you. It only lasts a week or less in all honesty. They come back no matter how clean you keep it (never any food left out, never any dirty dishes, never any trash because you take it out everyday).... I saw a giant roach today which caused me to write this review. The thing was huge (like 3 inches). It looked like those roaches you see in the pet store. There are teenage mormon girls assigned to this neighborhood that will literally harass you endlessly and then find where you live only to further harass you and make you wish you were never born. They will make their way into your building if they can (sometimes the door to your building does not lock or close). They will ring your doorbell buzzer endlessly and knock on your door endlessly. The walls are thin as Hell and even if you complain about neighbors being loud at 1-4am --nothing gets done. You are better off spending an extra hundred or more renting at another apartment complex or better yet renting a house.

These are the worst apartments to live in. Ive had so many issues with this place itself and management. I pay the same water bill my parents do for a 4 bedroom house with 5 people living in it. They didnt even change my carpet when I moved in and it was super dirty with paint all over it. I had a horrible bug problem for the first 2 months I lived here. I take at least 2 cold showers a week. I can hear everything my neighbors do. I can hear them go to the bathroom even...I get living in an apartment the walls are thin but I shouldnt be able to hear my neighbor use the bathroom as if I am sitting with them. They have this program where they help delinquents get back on their feet. Of course my luck, they get put in the apartment next to mine, they stay up till 5am on a Wednesday blasting music and screaming around the apartment. Along with other shady stuff. I have had 3 different tenants go through that apartment because they all end up getting evicted along with the police being called. And I have only lived here 6 months. But I would never recommend this place to anybody or renew a lease here. I cant wait for the day my lease is up. Im counting down the days. I truly wish I could give Kingsbridge a better review because I know the staff tries to make it pleasant but the fact is, its old and has many flaws.Pros.-The staff is very kind and quick to answer questions.-They are quick to resolve service requests.-The location is great and you can walk to many stores if needed along with being in the safer portion of Chesapeake.-The apartments are spacious and offer more room than most places in -Hampton Roads for the money.-Some nice neighbors and so many adorable dogs!-There are pet stations around the complex-Tennis courts are nice-Small dog park-They spray for pests (but it doesnt work)-If you cant find parking at night, you can park in staff parking until 8:30 am-Relatively safeCons.-HUGE cockroaches that stay all summer long. Attached are some photos. Along with poisonous spiders always in the apartment and nearly impossible to get rid of. ( I read this before in review but dont take it lightly like I did. Its a huge problem. To the point of checking under toilet seats for spiders and cockroaches in your beds).-Neighbors constantly smoking weed through out the neighborhood.-NO PARKING. You are only given once space but there isnt enough if you drive two cars.-Towing because of misparked cars (but they havent spay painted in so long, you dont know what is okay to park in)-Dog poop everywhere. No one picks up after pets-Apartment looks nice cosmetic wise until a few months go by. Our whole wall cracked in half.-Use something electrical, the circuit breaker pops and you have to reset.-Pipes smell so the apartment always stinks. Have to pour bleach down the pipes regularly if you plan to entertain guests and want it to smell somewhat decent.-Dog park filled with poop. Dont bother walking around.-Say they dont allow aggressive breeds but allow pit bulls, which attacked my dog (medium sized dog that usually can handle itself)-Loud and immature neighbors who also speed and nearly hit you when you just are walking to your apartment.-Sealing on windows and door dont ever work so you spend about $120 on electric alone.-You have to buy or rent a washer and dryer and even then, the water smells bad and makes your clothing stink.-Dumpsters are always over flowing.-The staff coming into the apartment when you are not home and without notice-People leave their broken down cars in the only available parking spaces for months with no towing enforced, leaving regular drivers to park across the street all the way into a neighborhood off of johnstown road.( they also let work vehicles park here which makes no sense to me if some people already have two cars and others cant find parking)I appreciate the staff trying to make it a pleasant place to live but ultimately, its just too old now. Things are beyond repair and the bugs are uncontrollable. Along with not enough parking for the amount of people that live in the complex.

As soon as you move in the windows are all unlocked like another tenant said. I have had boxes go to miss at the office. The maintenance are nosy and do not leave notes or call. They do just walk on in. When you complain about it at the office they will not believe you. The teenage mormon girls are getting a bit much because I have seen them harassing anyone they can as soon as they see you walk out your door. The paint job on the walls in horrible and flaked off making it look like you did damage when it was already there, but of course they are not going to believe you. The roaches are crawling in the carpets and all over the walls my lord its gross. Id much rather live in a sewer drain than this place.

Pretty upset today. A group of about 35 people waited in the heat for over 1 1/2 hours for the pool attendant to show up for work. Poor Poor management. Hopefully tomorrow might be the first day the pool is opened on time.??
