Alexis was amazing! The property was beautiful and the best I’ve seen in the Charlotte area so far! I would have signed on the dotted line if the unit I wanted was still available! I still may end up signing being that blown away! Thank you Alexis and Uptown 550 for an amazing experience!
We met Alexis at lunch today. She convinced me and my buddies to come by for a tour after we mentioned that we were looking for a new place. She gave the best tour experience. The property and all the amenities were amazing! The rooftop bar was lit! Shetook the time to explain all the questions we had, and was very enthusiastic. Highly recommend Uptown 550 and look forward to being future residents.
I looked into almost every location in Charlotte and Uptown 550 takes the cake by far. Pool, Gym, Golf sim and cleanliness of the property were unmatched. Other rentals were offering 2 months free rent but I still decided to go with 550 mainly because of the Staff. The staff in the office were so nice to work with. Special thanks to Joanna for hunting down 30 packages, walking about 5 miles per day and making it happen without any complaints.
I was super impressed with the property. Their amenities really set them apart from the competition. Alexis was amazing! I brought a client on tour and she was very helpful. She really made us feel at home!
Found the place online and was amazed by the views available. Went ahead and got a tour booked with Alexis and she showed us around the beautiful property. Alexis did a great job showing us around and we cant wait to sign on.
Living in uptown 550 was definitely one of the best housing decisions I’ve ever made. The amenities, service, and constant events make it feel like you’re living on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Above all, the concierges are always so positive and helpful. Payton, Nia, Joanna, Lance, and Connor always go above and beyond to ensure you’re having a positive living experience. They are truly the backbone of Uptown 550. If I was not moving out of state, I would 100% renew and recommend others to live there as well.
Ive had a great experience while living here! Concierge & Leasing office were always super helpful and friendly. The amenities are great but the rooftop view is even better! On top of all of that they have plenty of resident events each month.
I recently toured Uptown 550 and I had an exceptional experience! Moving from out of town can be very intimidating but the staff was so friendly and welcoming here it made me excited to move here (not just for the rooftop bar). Lauren was very knowledgeable about the area and property and gave me great recommendations on things to do in the area!
Uptown 550 is the nicest building in Uptown Charlotte. From the rooftop bar to the amazing gym, pool and so many other amenities. It is the place to be. The concierge team is so helpful and friendly!
One thing that jumps out immediately is the enthusiasm and friendliness of the leasing pros. Everyone is very welcoming and passionate about the property. From the monthly events, to the discounts around the city, to the steam room (my fav) and Level 21 bar, this place genuinely embodies luxury. Wonderful place to stay so far.
Pretty disappointed in how Uptown 550 on Stonewall handles maitenence — especially requests that require more attention. Entire closet shelf and clothing rack collapsed almost 2 weeks ago and after a week of waiting on someone to respond to our request (had to contact them multiple times, I get a “checking on it” on Tuesday, then “they had to go through the contractor and will be there Wednesday” email.Well, it’s now Friday and after being 30 min late, the guy spends 2 minutes taking a picture and measurement then says “ I’ll be back in an hour or so.”Some of us don’t work from home and can’t sit around waiting. I also have a dog that I need to keep out of the way and calm when they come work — So I’m sacrificing a lot of my workday sitting here hoping that they come back and the closet gets fixed so our clothes can be put away from being scattered across the living room. Just no real effort.
Recently moving in I have been nothing but extremely happy with not only our living space but the help and support weve received from the staff! Marisa in particular has been super helpful answering any questions I have and making sure Im getting the best experience possible out of living here. She is a rockstar and someone Im happy to be able to count on here :)
I have had a lovely experience living at Uptown 550. The apartments are amazing along with the community and amenities, but I will say the best part is the people who work here. Connor and Lance are gems - helpful, friendly, and always go above and beyond. Christine in leasing has also been a fantastic help when I lost my key due to unlucky circumstances. I also have to give a big shoutout to Nia who has always been extremely kind and always goes out of her way to check in and remember the little things about everyone that lives here. Great team all around. It’s so nice to live in a community where they genuinely care about you (your pets) and your experience. 10/10 best place I have lived in Charlotte.
This place is terrible and the management company should be made aware that the leasing office is 100% completely useless. Despite my better judgement, I entertained a tour here because we really liked the location even though NO ONE in the leasing office responded to my 7 text messages, 3 emails, or returned any of my 6 calls. So we tour the place, it is great - the amenities are great and the $4,000.00 a month unit we wanted to lease was exactly what we were looking for. The leasing office sent us two wrong quotes after they finally responded to one of numerous post tour phone calls, they have not responded to any of our emails requesting corrected quotes or requests for information, still waiting for someone to return our calls about the unit itself 3 days later. Lets be clear, I am a qualified renter that had his wallet out and was saying I am willing to pay $4,000.00 in rent a month! Still no response, the leasing office is a reflection of the building itself and Im not going to pay near $50,000.00 dollars a year for the unprofessionalism and complete incompetence of this buildings leasing office. Again, nice building, but I wouldnt give my money to them because they dont know what they are doing. The leasing office needs to be re-staffed. Ultimately, when left with two choices, one being uptown 550, we chose another building and more expensive unit completely based on our experience with the leasing office at Uptown 550. Absolutely unprofessional and I cant imagine how useless they would be if a tenant that was already locked into a lease needed assistance. DONT lease here.
Uptown 550 is by far the best place I’ve lived! The amenities are fantastic and management/concierge are always friendly and responsive! 10/10 experience
I had the pleasure of touring Uptown 550 with Kristy. Kristy has an amazing personality and she is very knowledgably. If youre looking to move uptown I would definitely recommend Uptown 550.
Been here for 10 months now and if I reviewed back in mid 2020 I probably would not have given 5 stars. Yes part of that was because I was not able to enjoy any of the amenities for a period of time. I feel like part of the premium prices we pay to live here is the amenities so yes I felt like the value at that time was lacking. I do realize the reason why though...Also at that time the parking garage was wide open and anyone that wanted could just walk right in and access our cars etc. Speaking about the parking garage, I feel like the design of the entrance and exit is extremely poor. There is an opening on the South Blvd side of the building that looks like it was originally designed to be a garage access point but is not used. In my opinion that would lessen the cluster of all vehicles entering and exiting the garage at the same access point. Elevators also were down a lot. NOW, fast forward to the present....garage was fenced in and secure doors were entry and exit doors were added so that fixed that issue! Amenities can be used now and hoping it stays that way. Love the outdoor lights that were added! Tower looks amazing at night. Carla and the concierge team are superb! Love them all, no complaints at there! The leasing staff is great as well with Marissa in particular being very helpful with a pleasant attitude :) Looks like things will continue to trend upwards at Uptown 550.
I really wanted to like this place. They do have nice amenities and on the outside, they appear to be luxurious. As others have mentioned, this place is FAR from luxurious. From gun violence to thefts, this building is plagued with crime (Google it). On top of that, I have had non-stop issues with my apartment that continue to go unresolved. I live in the tower building and it is clear that it was built entirely too fast with several issues. Here are a few:- Water seeping through the floors- Toilet water pouring through ceiling- Microwave that breaks every few weeksI have spoken to several others in the building who also have experienced several issues with their units. Additionally, there is A LOT of noise. Cars speeding and racing through the parking garage (there was even a crash recently where someone hit 5 cars), constant parties and random groups of people outside being loud all night. The concierge staff are AWESOME which is nice but the office staff are mostly non responsive and clearly do not care after you sign your lease.
By far the best place I have ever lived!! I sold my house this year and moved to a high rise. I love everything about it. The amenities here are everything, imagine everyday after a long day at work you can go to a jacuzzi the size of a pool or have dinner on the rooftop. There are so many great qualities about this place. The staff is amazing, Jonamell(leasing) was super easy to work with and made sure everything that I needed to submit was done correctly and in a timely manner.Nia, Payton, and JoAnna(concierge team) are my day to day go to people for all my needs. They are so helpful and extremely talented at their job. They keep me updated on all things uptown 550 and assist me with all my needs. They are amazing . I recommend everyone to sell their house and move here.
DO NOT move here! This property will profile your guest. I’m Latino and they followed my guest from the pool to my apartment... this is the second time this has happened. The property is not clean and office staff VP Amanda Kitts is horrible. They tow cars constantly, and racially profile guest based off race! If I could give them a zero stars I would .. DO NOT move here
I recently stopped by to see Uptown 550. I was blown away not only by the amenities but by the staff as well. Lauren took the time to answer all my questions and the staff was all very welcoming etc. The rooftop bar was my favorite spot! Thank you Lauren and team!
Jonamel’s customer service was top notch. She toured me thoroughly through the entire property and answered all of my questions cheerfully and in depth. Thanks to her, I had an exceptional experience during Uptown 550.
Great place to live! Best amenities of any apartment complex I’ve ever been to.
I’ve lived here for two years and overall its a great place to live but every now and then there’s minor issues.Recently I had an issue with my utility bill. It was finally resolved after four months because Payton stepped in and fixed this long overdue issue in less than an hour. Payton has always done an amazing job and is my go to person when I need something done.
JoAnna was fantastic with helping me move out and organizing everything. I really appreciated her help!
We have lived here for almost two months now and I have to say, its pretty stellar. My wife and I sold our home and decided to move uptown so we really spent the time to hunt for somewhere perfect. Uptown 550 won. Checked all the boxes and then some.Mario is the property manager who is very caring and knowledgeable. He and his team will make sure things are done right. The maintenance manager Gamal is an invaluable asset to the community and one of the nicest people Ive ever met. If you have any issues he will go out of his way to ensure that repairs are performed quickly and efficiently. The amenities are what sold us; HUGE indoor hot tub, gym, rooftop bar/lounge, pool with cabanas, pool tables, golf simulator, outdoor bar & grill area, dog park/spa, sauna/steam room, coffee bar w/cold brew on tap, business center.... what more could you ask for!?The apartments are very upscale and modern.Since the complex is brand new and construction is nearing completion, there have been some growing pains (which is to be expected), but things are improving every day.We are very happy with our decision to live here and plan to make it our home for a while.
Amazing amenities, fun events, and fantastic staff. Everyone who works here makes you feel welcome and safe!
I lived here for 15 months and loved this place. The staff was always nice, professional and helpful especially Peyton, JoAnna, Carla, and Lance. I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for me over lease term. The rooms are great, the finishes are nice, and the amenities are unmatched in the area. We decided to check out another apartment complex in Charlotte at the end of our lease term but the possibility of moving back to Uptown 550 is very high. Would absolutely recommend.
Everyone is so friendly and helpful! Love the staff and the location and the amenities!!! Always see them smiling!!
The structure itself is decent. For the price it could be more well built (thicker floors and walls etc). I’ve lived in major cities in top luxury communities where the rent is cheaper and staff are on hand 24/7. If you are willing to pay an ultra premium rent for a status quo living environment please apply today!
The concierge representative Nia, is awesome, she embodies all of the characteristics of an individual who loves her job as well as helping others; from scheduling the elevator for my move- in date, taking the time out to explaining how the Luxer one service works and sharing with me the layout of the parking garage and what she thought would be the best elevator for me to use on a daily basis. All of these things really made me feel good about my decision to live here at Uptown 550.Thanks Nia You Rock!!!!!
We have loved living at Uptown 550 for the past year and a half. Being a new property there were lots of growing pains at first, but it continues to get better by the day!The amenities are top notch and we love the layout and finishings in our unit. The concierge team is amazing and always there to help. Payton specifically is always super responsive and consistently goes above and beyond! We love calling Uptown 550 home.
We loved living at Uptown 550 for the short (6 months) time we were there. The pool is amazing and the staff is very friendly. Any time we had a maintenance request, a service representative came in 24-48 hours. While most of the staff is friendly and helpful, Payton goes above and beyond! She’s THE BEST and truly made our experience that much better.
I just recently hosted an event on the top floor of Uptown 550 and it was a great success! I could not have done it without the help of JoAnna, Connor and Lance at concierge. They are consummate professionals and living at Uptown 550 would not be nearly as enjoyable without them! Honorable mention to Nia who is also a model employee that goes above and beyond for the residents. Thank you!
Uptown 550 has the best staff and amenities in CLT. The Barista, Pool, Gym, Golf Simulator are all top notch.
I love this place and the amenities are amazing!Tiffany and Kristy provided great customer service 🙂
As reviews are consistently requested by staff, it is my contentment to give my review as a current resident regarding my experience of seven months here at uptown. As a professional designer based in Atlanta, relocating was extremely exciting. It was the new beginnings and most of all the visually admiring architecture of such building in mind. Considering my husband was able to show me the apartment only virtually during his quick tour. Obviously touring virtually you are limited to a full experience...The community is being portrayed as a high-end luxury community, but as a current resident luxury is unfortunately nonexistent. The craftsmanship of the unit is not what I expected from such a high-end branded community. My home should be an escape sanctuary and this is the complete opposite. I will speak on the profound issues as I cannot list them all in this review. The consistent traveling elevator sounds, balcony doors slamming and vibrating through units, and being able to hear highly confidential conversations from your neighbor while trying to use your bathroom. Seems to be a breach of privacy if I’m asked, something that should be guaranteed in one’s home at the least.Unfortunately, there are a lot of quality repairs that need to be completed, all of which should have been completed prior to moving in a resident. There seems to also be a lack of accountability in the actions of residents who choose to not follow rules and regulations. This community sadly lacks a level of luxury and for that, I do not recommend this place as your new home. We look forward to breaking our lease and if necessary take legal action as ours and other residences safety, security and privacy have been violated.
Trying to make a fast move to Uptown 550 was made very easy by Lauren, she was beyond helpful in making this process so seamless for us and her effort didnt go unnoticed.
I would highly recommend Uptown 550! The service at the concierge desk has been excellent. Joanna has been extremely helpful and accommodating of any needs I have had!
Wouldnt have signed if I knew how unsecure this place was. Zero security. Will remove this review if they atleast make an effort. Look at all the cameras Camden Grandview has.
I have had alot of issues prior With community managers, with that being said Kristy (the new community manager) has surpassed my expectations and did her best to make sure I was taken care of and had all issues addressed. I can honestly say that other bad reviews and issues should be taken with a grain of salt due to the positive changes!
I lived at this property for 13 months, and Ill start with some positives. The interiors of the apartments are nice with quartz countertops, high ceilings, and a modern luxurious feel. The amenities are also good with a nice gym and pool. These positives are FAR outweighed by the negatives. First and foremost, TWO CASES OF GUN RELATED VIOLENCE IN TWO WEEKS (google it), motor vehicle theft, and multiple bike thefts. When I first moved into this apartment there were literally no security cameras anywhere (and garage was not effectively gated). This was a major problem. Mgmt has installed more security cameras, but I believe still in insufficient numbers. The crime at this property got SO BAD that I was sleeping with a chair wedged underneath my door as a physical barrier to stop potential intruders. Also I thought the letters sent by management to renters addressing the gun violence at the property were insufficient and had minimal follow-up.Lastly the price of rent was very high for living on an interstate/busy road. This interstate is VERY loud, especially in the spring and summer when the motorcycle groups are active. This was something that I overlooked when I chose my apartment and ended up being a huge mistake. You have been warned!
Thank you for having the most fabulous concierge staff! We love living here and the staff is like our neighbors! And they are great neighbors :-). Carla is professional, kind, absolutely adorable and we so appreciate she and her awesome team. Carla, never change! As former New Yorkers we love the high-rise living and the energy of all the windows and light in our building and we are super appreciative for staff that we trust and adore. Payton is the dog whisperer, I think my hubby is jealous of how much our fur son loves her. We love ya too P!!! Thanks for being a great team.
Be skeptical of their reviews and star ratings. they are bribing people to review. google might want to take a look, because this place is probably breaking some rules with these bulk review solicitations (photo was received by email from uptown 550)
After our refrigerator water panel was broken for four months, the new maintenance man Mark did a great job stepping up and finally fixing it. He worked diligently and was personable/professional throughout the process. Also, while he was installing our new refrigerator door, he took initiative fix our loose key lock box without being asked. Also long as Mark continues to be part of the the maintenance team, I see our apartment experience getting better.
I lived in a studio for a year in the mid rise and moved back to Savoy beginning of 2021. Best way to describe this apartment complex is that it is an expensive candy in a fancy wrapper that tastes mediocre at best. All the staff is friendly but the apartment complex and amenities are not ran well. Look elsewhere, I know a lot of residents had complaints when I lived there. Pros: golf course simulator, and the roof top view.
This community is fabulous! I get my morning latte at the complimentary Barista Bar, who does that?!? The apartment is modern with finishes you would find in a custom built home, not your typical apartment. The staff is extremely responsive and helpful. I highly recommend Uptown 550!
First I would like to say that the community is nice with lots of engaging activities (although I am a bit concerned about a lot of the office staff not wearing a mask very often considering this is where they work they need to enforce the rules by example) but other than that it has been a pleasant experience. The staff is always super friendly, especially their maintenance staff the one I have seen on various occasions always smile, pets our dogs and is very encouraging to speak with. One morning while on the elevator he got on, spoke and of course rubbed our pets so I kindly asked him his name he said Stanley. Great Guy upbeat personality always holding the elevator doors for my husband and I uptown is truly lucky to have him. Don’t know if anyone reads these reviews much anymore but just decided to share my experience.
“For the purpose of this review I am not associated with this community, but rather associated with current residents of this community” It’s disheartening to hear that my dear family has not been able to enjoy their apartment as they should. It’s unfortunate to see that the same level of enthusiasm from the beginning is not in place for them anymore. I do hope that this can be turned around for them. They at the most deserve a well tailored response to their concerns rather than a general response.
JoAnna has been and amazing help with the move out process!!! She has made a very stressful day such a breeze!!! For sure should get a raise!!!!
Awesome staff !ConnorPaytonNiaLanceAnthonyJoannaMark
My gf and I went and checked uptown 550 out because we kept hearing all these good things about it. We currently live at another NWR community and absolutely love it so we want to stay within NWR communities. we wanted to see how the skyline views looked and all the things we heard were all true! This place is awesome! Sarah was the best tour guide we could ask for! She went through everything and shown us 4 different apartments. By the time we got home we had quotes for all 4. All NWR communities are awesome!
I’ve been living here for a year. I love all of the amenities and my spacious apartment! Kenya is absolutely my favorite concierge she’s so very helpful, always smiling, and very professional! (Unlike the other concierge) Mario and the other staff members always make sure that their are fun things to do! If you’re looking for a great place to stay uptown this is it!
Nia and JoAnna are extremely helpful and made it possible for us to watch the Masters outside today on the beautiful Level 21 patio. Thank you both for creating a great experience:)
I was in search of a beautiful 1 bedroom with amenities ans when I tell you .. Erica Jackson was not only very helpful and professional she went above and beyond ans made sure I found the place that was perfect for me. She is such an amazing spirit and I recommend uptown 550 and when you go ask for Erica she is the absolute best. I’m so overwhelmed with all of the beautiful amenities. Uptown 550 is by far the best place to go if you want the perfect location.
Beautiful community with top notch amenities! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They have great events for residents as well.
I am a current resident. Everything was fine until an employee harassed me and my friends. He wanted us to prove to him that we live here by telling him what units we live in. We showed him the keys to prove we live here and he started getting aggressive because he was drunk. He kept demanding what units live, yelling over and over. He was drunk and rude and off the clock. This was so unprofessional. We reached out to the manager and they didn’t do anything about it because they were not there. Then why do they have cameras for. I feel so disrespected I pay too much rent and feel like we don’t belong here just because we are Latinos, its sad.
We are in the middle of moving into this Beautiful place. By far one of the best well maintained facilities in the area. Cannot ask for better amenities. Through this process I have been working with Jessica Hancock and Edith Mellado and they have gone above and beyond to make the experience a breeze while fully accommodating my wants & needs! Very well done.
Good Morning, I had to write a review about this place. The amenities are pretty ok, doesn’t hurt that local eateries are in close proximity. Since living here I have had a few problems with my apartment I have complained to the office staff since June or July. Had the amazing pleasure of meeting one of their newest maintenance technician (Stan) he came in fixed what was wrong, And explained to me any questions or concerns I had (which were many)he answered with kindness. Also although I was frustrated and angry when he arrived, by the time he left I was laughing and extremely happy. he made that over- whelming situation a lot more bearable. The industry needs more maintenance staff like this that loves their jobs and does them well. Thank you Stan for making me feel like I was supposed to feel from the very beginning....at home.
- Car towed twice due to property and management errors- I was told in-person by the manager condescendingly and verbatim “Do you want me to place you on our most important tenant list?” I was addressing the fact that I was having to take time out of my schedule to correct their mistakes and that time isn’t something that they can’t refund. Management feels entitled and when it comes to dealing with difficult situations especially when they are at fault, they never can own up to it. Deflect and walk away must be the Northwood Ravin way.- Received absolutely no concessions for renewing my lease for another year- Mail that was accepted by the front office and sat for almost 2 months even after I had been down to ask if they had any for me a week after it was delivered—this was medicine by mail.- Tried going to the pool on 3 different occasions last year but could not find a place to sit knowing that half the people there weren’t tenants.- The original apartment and layout that I was shown before moving in was unknowingly one that was reserved for those with a handicap. I was placed into a different one thinking, because I was told, that it had the same layout. Well it isn’t the same and I wouldn’t have signed a lease if I had known how different it was the day I moved in.- Gnat infestation coming from the bathroom for many months.- Twice requested a replacement water filter but both times told they were out and got no follow up. Plan on shelling out $$ that you’ll never get back.- The only bright spot in this place is the Concierge but they are not enough to enjoy living here.- And there’s many more things but I just can’t. Bottom line go to the Savoy and stay away from this place.4/30 - I called the Northwood Ravin Cares line that the owner’s reply suggest that I do and left a message for them to return my call. I have not heard back.
Hi, I would like to thank Stan the maintenance guy for doing an AMAZING job fixing my dishwasher I’ve been having issues with it since moving in. Although this is not the first time he has been in my apartment to fix other concerns I just really wanted to acknowledge how great this guy has been.Stan came in and quickly Fixed my dishwasher And explained to me what the problem was, I usually have friends and family over quite often and my dishwasher has been my saving grace. Greatly appreciate It Stan. You Rock.
Best of the best amenities! Fantastic location! Staff is top notch!
One of the best parts about living at Uptown 550 is the concierge staff. They go above and beyond for their residents, address you by name which makes it very personable, and are extremely accommodating. Carla, the concierge manager, has trained her team to be professional and knowledgeable and is always genuinely interested in having a nice conversation with you. Desmond and Mario are also extremely pleasant any time I see them on the property! Josh and Curtis the maintenance guys are extremely responsive to any service requests and Ive never had to wait more than a few hours for even a non-urgent request. I feel very safe living here and know that I have people I can turn to if ever needed.
Concierge expects new residents and delivery drivers to know that there is a 12-07 & 1207.Concierge should know to tell new people trying to find an apartment.
I absolutely love living here. But, the best part is Peyton Welch she is so kind, helpful, caring, she adores my puppy so much too! We are so lucky to have a person like her in our lives.
If I could give 550 Stonewall apartment a negative score I would. The Worst apartment experience Ive ever had in my 20 years as a renter. I moved in 11/30/20 and its been one thing after another. From Management,Leasing to Maintenance, no one seems to know what they are doing.1. 11/28/20 Lease emailed to me 1 day prior to my move in date ( didnt show the accurate amount paid for security deposit)actually showed 0 when I paid 3002. 11/29/20 went to apt to pick up my keyes, found out my move-in date was changed to the 11/30( no one knows why) Lease agent said it would be to much of trouble to change it back.3. Due to utter confusion, and an incompetent leasing agent, my lease was not ready to sign until I and the movers were on site ready to move me in. While the movers were charging me $10 per Minute to wait for me to sign the lease.the leasing agent told me it was priority she show prospective clients apartments first and then once she was done. She would be able to print off my lease for signature4. Moved into the apartment, key fob didnt work Washer was not working ( took several attempts multiple calls to maintenance and management ) to get a functioning washer.5. Bathroom still smells like pee( maintenance told me this is because I just moved in and I need to run the water????6. Attempted to put up my Christmas tree today, but the floors are so uneven the tree stand would not level and it toppled over!7. Though Ive had issues after issues since I moved in, The only call Ive received from Management is in reference to a 80 balance on my account. Which was due to their failure to adequately add the 299 application fee that was suppose to be credit to my 1st billIve only been here for 2 weeks but Ive never noticed such confusion, and ineptitude before. The only luxury thing about 550 stonewall is the high rent nothing else.
Payton was the best concierge service of all time!! Very helpful and sweet and always helped me out. Thank you to the one who made my sweet memorable
Uptown 550 definitely has its perks - coffee barista, nice gym, amazing pool. But the maintenance is terrible, which detracts from everything else. For example, we have access to two pelotons, great right?...except both pelotons are broken because of things relatively easy to fix. Another example is that our refrigerator was broken for about six months. Multiple Maintenance teams kept punting out our work order, giving a variety of excuses. Finally, a maintenance man named Mark actually put an hour of effort, curiosity and craftsmanship of his own and was able to fix the refrigerator amongst other issues. Overall, I like living here. Any apartment can come with its frustrations.
I couldnt be happier with how cared for Desmond, Mario, & Gamal treated me while moving here! Desmond worked diligently in making sure I was able to move-in ASAP & get the right floor plan for me. They honestly feel like friends while simultaneously being World Class, I can’t say that about my past homes.. — at the time of this review the building is still under construction and I can TELL that the entire crew is doing their best work. — The f**king unit is so ideal, the little homey touches are appreciated, and being picky about finishes, paint, flooring, it’s all ON POINT! The rest of the building & amenities are A+ and can’t beat the location in Uptown. I’m so glad I moved here! ;)
I’m not associated with the community but am an employee and dear friend of someone who is a current resident that has shared some concerns with me in which concerns me of her and her husband’s wellbeing. It is in my hopes there is a resolution for all parties involved and that it is solved sooner than later as this not only affects the but also other residents as well.
Updating my review based out on my move out experience with the complex. The complex is an ok place to live. The pros to living here were my commute to work, the two free months i had, and the friendly staff. The leasing agents and leasing staff here are all friendly and welcoming and they plan good events. Other than that you’re overpaying rent. The walls in the flats are very thin. I couldlegit hear conversations from my neighbors in myLiving room. The garage also has a poor design. Parking spots are narrow and I’ve scratched my car while driving around the garage. I’ve seen other cars with similar scratches.I’ve Also heard of bikes being vandalized on property.Want a dog walker or a cleaning service to enter your apartment without you being there? Be prepared to fork up $60 for a replacement fob.Interesting how a “luxury” complex doesn’t already have spare fobs on hand for their residents.I overlooked many of these issues because i knew it’d only be temporary and i enjoyed walking to work . However, after moving out, I’ve been getting hit with sudden fees. A few weeks after leaving, i was given $600 for giving the complex ‘insufficient ‘ notice of my move out date (i gave them a 4 month move out notice). Thankfully the team realized the mistake and i was given back most of my security deposit, with some utility fees taken off (water bills I’m sure i paid before i moved out, which wasn’t in the original bill). Now after two months since I moved out, I’m receiving a $60 bill because i stopped service in the day i moved out vs the day my lease ended. I get the charge, but charging a $50 fee on a $6 bill is unwarranted. I’ll gladly pay the bill so i can wash my hands of this company.
Really wish there was a convenience store near by or a bottle shop maybe. The leasing spaces on the bottom floor are supposed to be a coffee shop and a gym, both of which are already included. We need access to every day items without having to drive or walk 10-15 minutes.Mario and Desmond are working hard to make things work but they definitely have a heavy workload which is why it’s hard to contact the office. Seems like things are changing so quickly it’s hard for everyone to keep up. Glad things are progressing because I do want to live in an apt complex that’s built and full of residents but it can definitely be frustrating. The complex is still under heavy, heavy construction. The amenities seem to be coming along but I do hope the communal areas will begin to be used once they’re fully built. All in all, there’s a ton of people moving into this area with the new complexes and I do hope more businesses will take advantage of this opportunity. We need a little quick food shop, a beer/wine shop, and a convenience store of some sort. There’s talk of a brewery nearby which would be great as well. These amenities Uptown 550 has described will be nice if they do come together but I hope we’ll be able to actually enjoy them without having to be gone, away from the apt complex all the time.
Lived here for a year, the location is great, but everything else is just awful. Apartments were made cheap and in a hurry. When i first moved in there were so many issues, dishwasher not working, dishwater uneven and out of place, the walls are super thin and you can hear all your neighbors business.
Love this apartment complex. The amenities speak for itself and the apartments are beautiful. Great location uptown with friendly staff!
I’ve been living here for several months. The amenities are great but I have to say, the coffee bar has been top notch. Andre can make just just about everything and always provides a personal touch. If you live here, do yourself a favor and go see him in the morning.
Living at Uptown 550 has been great in the nine months I have been here! A great location in uptown Charlotte, brand new apartments and amenities and much more. However, nothing stacks up in quality to the complementary coffee bar. If you are into great coffee, lattes and conversation, swing by to the coffee bar in the tower lobby to hang out with Andre, the barista who is a first class guy and makes a mean latte!
This is a really great community! For one, the amenities are top of the line and more are getting completed soon. The interior is very modern and storage is very well utilized given the spaces, we are in a one bedroom and have no problem finding room for all of our items. One thing I do love are the large balconies, thats hard to find in any apartment community. Also, the leasing staff has been great since day one, its been great working with Mario and Desmond. I highly recommend this community!
I highly recommend Uptown 550 for its great location and friendly staff. Payton the Concerige is very helpful and super friendly.
Going to echo a lot of the sentiment in other reviews. This is clearly going to be a great apartment building once everything is up and running properly. But there is still a lot of construction taking place which is a little inconvenient.Amenities are plentiful, well maintained, and great. Public spaces are clean and pleasant. The staff does a great job of keeping the tenants happy and go the extra mile to make living here as enjoyable as possible. Anton in particular never hesitates to go above and beyond to help me out whenever I need something.
Uptown 550 is a premiere luxury apartment complex in Uptown Charlotte with amazing views, amenities and finishes. The apartments feel more like high end condos than they do apartments. Even more impressive is their customer management team that truly cares about their customers and tenants. Highly recommend.
I lived here for a year and i can say this is a good place to live.I like the location and ability to walk to work. Everyone who works here is super nice and maintenance is always quick to resolve any issues. However, the units in the flats are poorly constructed. The walls are thin, elevators constantly break down, and if you have inconsiderate neighbors be prepared to hear tv, music, and conversations in your apartment. The garage is poorly designed with having people take tight turns and having to physically present your fob to get through the gate. I took off another star because the complex tried extorting $75 for a spare fob to let a dog walker come into my apartment. Any complex should have a spare key/fobs for all of its units and the fact they tried to give me a fee for a spare key rubs the wrong way.
We lived here for 8 months and broke our lease because living there was the most unpleasant experience weve had at an apartment. The management is about as competent as a group of new college grads can be, the staff ignorant and unhelpful, and the noise and filth are like a dorm. We call it Little Atlanta.
This place is a nightmare during covid. Staff and most residents do not wear masks in public spaces. Elevators regularly out of service. Spend your money elsewhere.
Engrid, Mario and team are awesome! They work very hard to accommodate the needs of the community. Its a great place to live at! People are friendly and I love running into some furry friends everyday. As somebody new to Charlotte, its cool to live stones throw away from so many restaurants and places of interest. Keep up the good work Uptown 550!
Mario and Desmond are first class property managers. I just moved into the building a week ago and everyone here has been extremely professional, and with a warm and welcoming touch! In my 12 years as a renter I haven’t lived in a place that treats their residents so well. Highly recommend to anyone looking to move Uptown!
5 stars all around- from the convenient location, beautiful apartments and first class amenities to the professional management, Uptown 550 is one of the best places to live in Uptown Charlotte. Mario and Desmond have been extremely helpful and welcoming and have always been available when needed. They’ve gone out of their way to make everything from the leasing process to move-in as seamless as possible, which is no easy task! I highly recommend Uptown 550.
Mario and Desmond made us feel welcome right away from the first visit. The property is well laid out and the amenities are state of the art. We are really enjoying being residents and are excited about moving into our new tower apartment soon.
I understand the building is still under construction but I have had several issues occur since moving in. The leasing office is unresponsive, do not return voice messages or emails. Even the NWR Care Team does not respond. Looks beautiful on the outside and the amenities are nice, but I still would not recommend to anyone.
My husband and I moved into Uptown 550 two months ago. We love living here and it exceeds our expectations on every level from the great staff to their marvelous amenities. The residents here are wonderful! Thank you to the staff Desmond, Ingrid, Mario, and Erica for being one of kind and always being so personable.
I cant recommend this place enough. Brand new building, staff goes above and beyond and theyre so accommodating (Mario and Desmond are both so amazing and helpful and made the move-in process so smooth). Maintenance requests are completed very quickly. The apartment itself is absolutely perfect - the floorpan was so well designed, all of the appliances are top quality and I havent heard any noise from any of my neighbors at all. Floor to ceiling windows provide so much light, and the dimmers in every room are such a nice touch. Very reasonably priced as well. One other thing I love is that its just a 3 minute walk to Whole Foods, a 30 second drive to get on the highway and it is never difficult to get out of the parking garage, even during rush hour traffic. Even though its still under construction, I dont find it to be an inconvenience at all, and theyre making so much progress daily. Theyve thought of everything. I could ramble on, but bottom line is I would recommend this to anyone looking to move uptown.
Look forward to Andre’s cup of coffee every morning. Great guy as well! He’s onto big things!
DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT....if you leave a negative review, they will sue you....this place is built super cheap, neighbors above you sound like they are falling through your ceiling. The floors buckle, they will fee you to death, the leasing staff is clueless, no cameras anywhere on the property. Car break-ins, homeless people in the garage....constant noise complaints..elevators never work..all of the neighbors moved out....all this is worth $1,700 a month for a 1 bedroom yay!!!! all the reviews are NOT honest...
If youre looking for the most prestigious community in Uptown Charlotte, this is it! They have so many amenities to offer, numerous floor plans, and the customer service is phenomenal! Mario is the man who you need to get in touch with, he responds promptly and is very attentive!!!
Not even sure where to begin! I recently signed a lease at Uptown 550 and the entire experience- from start to finish- was absolutely amazing! Moving can be super stressful, but Mario, Desmond, Gamal & their whole crew went above and beyond to ensure a seamless & enjoyable process! I am so excited to live here and am proud to call Uptown 550 my home!
I have been a resident for 2 months at Uptown 550 and couldnt be more pleased with my experience thus far! Being a Charlotte native, living in multiple communities around the area, and having just moved back after 2 years of renting in San Francisco, I can confidently say that living here is a treat! The quality of the interiors is a step above many other rental options in uptown Charlotte. Being a new building, there were a few minor maintenance items early on that were addressed quickly and precisely. With outstanding amenities to offer, the staff has done an incredible job at providing resident events that are creating a true sense of community among residents. They have offered free weekly small group fitness classes, botox and spa facials, trivia nights, and cookouts. Mario, Desmond, and Engrid have been ultra available and accommodating. Its never easy to keep residents happy when you are supporting a property that is still partially under construction, but the leasing and maintenance staff are handling it beautifully and creating a community experience anyone would want to be a part of! Thanks for all you do!
Similar to other reviews, Ill first acknowledge that the building is going to be great once the construction is complete. Its not ideal to be living around construction, but staff is honest and helpful in making the best out of situations. The amenities here are great - we love the gym, steam rooms/saunas, hot tub, barista, and golf simulator. We also appreciate the convenience of the dog area in the mid-rise.We also love the staff, who are always friendly and make us feel welcomed. In particular, weve had great interactions with Tony, a member of the construction team who was always a friendly face to ourselves and our dog before moving on to another project. Weve also had great experiences with Antonne, who remembers us everytime we visit the front desk for a package or coffee and has been super helpful. And, of course, the front office staff (Mario, Erica, Desmond) are always really helpful and never hesitate to help in the event that we have questions. In the couple instances where weve had maintenance issues inside our apartment, theyve been quick to react and have gone above and beyond to remedy the situation.
