I have lived here since July of 2019 and my experience has been amazing. I have signed my renewal twice and even convinced my cousin to move here and has also renewed twice. The price is amazing, yes it has increased but thats to be expected to keep up with their competition, since this is still a business. The staff is excellent! Kelly and Jason have always done an amazing job at responding to any emails I have sent. The only issues I have had with the apartment, is the lights go out in front of my building, which is the responsibility of the residents to notify the staff since they are closed at night and not able to see the property. The other issue is due to the summer starting off extremely hot my A/C has been constantly running and sometimes freezes or the freon runs out but maintenance handles it right away. If I could change anything about the apartment it would be to have hardwood throughout (only first floor apartments have them) all units but I understand that carpet helps reduce the noise for residents underneath (I live on the third floor).

I would certainly not recommend this apartment to anyone! Upon moving in my unit was not up to part and had numerous issues! The most disturbing was the cleanliness of the unit! There were also a host of maintenance issues as well .I was also very disappointed in the inconvenience of maintenance and the leasing office scheduling to come fix it and not showing up multiple times after having to rearrange my work schedule. Also disappointed in the broken promises of having cleaners to come back out.This move-in experience has me looking forward to moving out. Definitely doesn’t uphold to “luxury apartments” they claim to be!

I have been a resident for almost 2 full years. During that time, I have seen the front gate sit open for days and weeks at a time. Because of this (and lack of any real security), someone stole the catalytic convertor off of my car while it was parked right outside my building. When this was brought to the attention of the staff, it was passed off as if it was impossible- no empathy, no caring, no security, and an open gate for anyone to come through at any time they would like (and with no security cameras on the buildings, as I was advised by the office staff). The water has been out multiple times in the past weeks for hours at a time. We are alerted with a text message a few minutes before it is shut off and it usually remains off for hours at a time. I understand this happening every now and then, but this occurs far too frequently at this complex. The price is extremely too high for the condition of the apartments. Recently, the building was painted and now all of the windows have paint on them. Since I have lived here, none of my windows have actually opened nor have screens in them (after multiple maintenance service requests). I have had every single appliance break on me multiple times. The maintenance staff are VERY nice and VERY awesome to work with- however, my experience is indicative of the fact that everything is fixed with a band-aid. It took 4-5 maintenance requests to have my dishwasher completely removed and a new one installed after multiple issues. The kitchen sink leaks consistently and soaks the floors and cabinets (after several maintenance requests there also). My AC has gone out and it, too, had to be replaced (took about a month to get taken care of). Lots of cheap cosmetic and aesthetic cover-ups in the kitchen and bathroom to even hardly justify the price of the rent.I enjoy the location and being on the Green Way. However, after providing a police report of the crime that happened to me, there has been nothing done to address the security threat nor the gate that we all see wide open every day. Feel free to visit the property and you can take a full-range tour yourself at any hour.Hoping for more, but constantly being let down. Really think about this residence before you sign yourself into a lease. I wish someone would have told me....

Its good that the buildings are getting painted but what about the ugly dented up door white would look classy they pulled up all the dead shrubbery to leave dirt and wires its not a day go by when I leave the trash is all around the building I have taken pictures and sent to the front office most of the time the yard guy is on the golf cart on his cellphone smh the bench outside our building is broken and need to be repainted the breezeway are NEVER BLOWN and the inside could have been more updated dont know why I renewed my lease and the front office some are nicer t han others can be really rude and dont always answer phone and you know t there in the office if you wantus to pay this high rent do more for what we pay we should be in South Charlotte or uptown

Randy Taylor thank you for your review. I took him up on the offer to visit this property three times and visiting unannounced has been most revealing. I am seeking a new rental, and with the rates here, I expected much more. As indicated, the gates were open each time, btw 10pm - 4am. I saw several other things quite concerning, but it this point, it does not matter. The complexs response to your very detailed concern - is more concerning (to me) than your actual concerns listed (sorry). For a resident to accuse a complex of negligence, experience a theft and several other concerns, then the response begins with - It is so great to have your feedback... and never even address the significant safety concern... tells me all I need to know - canned responses and lackluster management exist here. Both of which I am no longer in the mood for, esp at 2k /month. I can do better.

Nice place to live. Bathrooms could use some updating and they do cover up a lot with a fresh coat of paint but should actually be replaced. The location of my unit makes a huge difference in my experience. The view, the privacy and my oversight surrounding Neighbors are all acceptable features. Having an attached garage adds to my level of pricy that I require. I will continue to rent at this complex. The location is close to businesses and shopping there is a beautiful green belt along the back of the complex excellent for jogging and nature walks

I love it ppl actually think i live in a house when i show them a picture or video. I like the fact my internet and cable already included in rent so i was able to work from home right away. My garage picked up on time and i love the lockers for my package. I just wish my bathroom cabinets was repainted though but other than that this place real fancy . The park needs a upgrade the rain make it really muddy. The playground should be made with plastic and metal instead of wood my baby caught 2 splinters and the ground need play mats instead of dirt. Also grill area where bong fire located should have a tent to protect the seats from bird poop.

The purpose in leasing or renting is to be afforded comfort and security while having maintenance and repairs handled by the leasing/management company. When heroin addicts with high traffic and violent tendencies move in as neighbors property values are going to change.That feeling of peace and tranquility are going disappear. Now imagine that these tenants are new and you have been a resident of the community for 3 years and you ask Kelly the new property manager to transfer FOR safety and some how its going to cost you about a $1000 to include days missed from work. The drug addicts have cause a 4 car crash and extension property damages in the middle of the day. I have had my door banged on at 230 am on multiple nights because of mistaken identity. There are multiple police reports filed against them but some how they evade eviction.And yet I am veteran who has an anxiety condition must sleep on pins and needle every day or cough up an additional $1000 in addition to rent just to find SAFETY away from these drug addicts. Whats worse is I had previously transferred with in the property just this last June due to pests and that transfer was seamless. I have never been so disappointed, appalled and disgusted at the way my familys well being and safety has been handle by a company whom we have been exceeding loyal to.Aside from the leasing agents( Awesome who is gone and Lakeeta) I would avoid renting here. The security gate has such a long time on it that your car is tailgated as you drive through it. You never know who could be behind you. Our peace of mind was our garage which hadnt worked for 3 months but we were charged full price for it however. I am not the complaining type but people need to know what they are really getting for their 40 to 80 hours of work.

Been a resident since June of 2016. My building has been pretty quiet and comfortable until my new neighbors over me moved in about a week or so ago. Just always noisy and sounds like theyre going to come through my ceiling at any moment. Even after going to talk to them about the noise I think it just made things worse so this just may be my last year in this apartment because rent is too high to be uncomfortable in my own home. Other than that, Ive enjoyed the stay.

I have lived here for almost 7 years. I enjoyed my earlier years, however, the apartment is becoming unsafe and uncomfortable to live in. I had some new neighbors upstairs and the day they moved in they have been making excessive noise. I have spoken to the office on numerous occasions, called their security firm and nothing. I am at the point now where I have to be calling the police. Corporate office has done nothing, all they are telling me to do is move to another apartment. I have put in early notice but I woul like some peace until then. I cannot teach in peace during the days and my boys cannot learn in this noise. I am very upset and sad that nothing has been done. I would never recommend here.

On Saturday night my car was broken into 10/3/2020.They went rummaging through my car. This place was okay to live but things are changing. The noise level has increased significantly with loud music and seems like partying. There are cars speeding constantly .They keep charging for pest control and they have not done any pest control since the pandemic. The security patrolling serves no purpose. Residents be careful

Its great staying at Elan so far. Staff has been helpful when I have questions and maintenance team seem to keep things in order.My only complaint would be issues with neighbors. Many people walk dogs with no leash. Also every now and then, someone tries sneaking there trash in my valet bin.

Due to Covid 19 I have been out of work and it has been really stressful to just have money to eat let alone money for rent, but the staff at the front office are awesome. I haven’t stressed about rent and they are helping me find resources to pay past due amounts.

Update: I’m updating my score because they are a actively working on the garbage issue. Once it’s resolved I’ll redo my review.Gross! This property doesn’t take care of waste. I’ve been here since February and have seen this place get worse and worse. Dumpsters overflowing with trash for two months with no pickup. 100’s of bags of trash dumped outside the dumpster sitting for 4-5 days with no cleanup. Dog waste stations never cleaned out. Playground trash never changed and still trash cans sit full even when brought to the offices attention.The office staff never walks the property so they don’t see the damage waste causes or even damage that is going on to their own buildings.The decks need pressure washing. The lawn is mowed once every two weeks. There aren’t dog waste bags in waste areas, we pay $25 extra for a pet, but for what?This is NOT a luxury apartment. All they did was upgrade the kitchen. The bathrooms haven’t even been upgraded. They still have shell sinks that they’ve covered in some fake looking marble so it sorta matches the kitchen.I’m sure I can complain about way more, but hopefully you get my point. I pay almost $1500 for a two bedroom here and I think that’s way overpriced for how dirty they allow the property to get.

I have been living here for 8 months and I had issues before I signed my lease. On the day I was suppose to move in, my apartment was not ready. I left work to sign my lease and ended up spending the entire morning there. I had to wait 4 days before I could move in which meant I was forced to stay in a hotel because I had no where to go. I was out of additional money because all of my services were suppose to be connected/installed on the day of my initial lease signing. After I finally moved in, my carpet was not clean, so I had to pay to have it cleaned before the movers got there. Also, Some how I ended up signing 3 different leases within 2 months of me moving in. I had a roof leak that was over the flat screen I had on the wall ( they fixed this issue); however, last night, March 12, 2019, the apartment allowed a company that they pay to clean the carpet of empty apartments to clean the apppartment that is under me at 3:00 am. I will not be resigning my lease! In fact, I have already started looking for better apartments. DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS PROPERTY! The leasing office never answer their phones, they lie for no reason, and they are extremely unprofessional. Also, the show apartment looks NOTHING like the apartment you will be living in.

Today I toured this community. I got to admit I was skeptical to come by, due to the reviews I seen on line. Needless to say I was actually pleased with my experience. The young lady in the office was Awesome “literally”. She actually shook my hand and greeted me. That was the first of my many tours that display that kind of welcome. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The furnish apartment that she showed me was really beautiful and most of all the walk in closet was to die for. I have not yet seen any apartment with 2 large walk in closet and garden tubs in both rooms. I was blown away. I love the fact the community was really quite due to it being the weekend. I enjoyed my visit.

I just moved in 4 months ago and I was working with Laketta and she was amazing with finding me the perfect apartment. I loved her and awesome and how they worked together to make sure everything was just right for me. Now I have told me friend about this place and she is also moving in next month. Only thing I dont like is that we have to pay for trash but everything else makes it worth staying here. Thanks ladies.

Im counting down as well! Theres no way I would renew at this place even if they renew at $1 per month. My peace of mind is worth more.1. On the day I was suppose to move in I was told to come back the next day at 4pm because they were not finished installing the hardwood floors.2. When I can the next day the hardwood floor were installed but thats not the reason I couldnt move in the day before. Reason was this place was filthy!! I was mortified I could not believe it! They were stalling in hopes the place would be cleaned. I spent the entire day cleaning. I refused to bring any of my things in disgusting place.3. AC went out in the middle of the summer......2 days for someone to fix it.4. 15 days to install a shower head and new toilet seat.5. Neighbors from hell which I also complained about there was no need because absolutely nothing was done about the loud music.6. They tact on extra fees you will pay for trash twice. look at your bill closely . She said ones for velvet and ones for the actually dumpster.My advice would be keep looking unless you have no other options!

My Family and I moved in last week (Sept 2016) we love the complex. The Upgrades are not even complete and we love them already. Our unit was super clean, our move in process was quick and easy. We had a few pluming issues that we discovered after moving in and called the office the issues were fixed the very next morning.The staff in the office is friendly and courteous. This is a gorgeous place to live, I have lived here for two months and now that they are under new management the work orders I have been putting in are completed more quickly, and they have even renovated exteriors and interiors of the buildings making them look very modern. The space in my apartment is more than adequate for me and the leasing consultant was very accommodating and offered me the best deal I had found anywhere.P.S. I have no idea what these people are talking about hearing gunshots, the neighborhood behind the complex is an upscale neighborhood with $200,000 plus dollar homes. I have yet to hear one gunshot or see one car broken into.

I must say that I was a bit skeptical about moving in after reading all the negative reviews about Elan at Mallard Creek, however I decided to go along with my wife and take a look for ourselves. I was greeted by ms. awesome awute. she was very professional and kind. my wife and I love the apartment and its layout and upgraded appliances. we liked it so much that we moved in. I want to say that so far I love the place. neighbors are friendly and very quiet. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to move in to give it a try first before judging by the negative reviews.

The property management staff at Elan writes 5 Star reviews to skew the truth. Awesome, who provided a 5 star review, works in the office at Elan. I am so glad that I moved from Elan as there were numerous problems when I was there.You will have issues that maintenance will not fix, and when they do show, they come across as if they could care less. The reviews are true, your apartment can be without air in the summer or no heat in the winter and they will drag their feet to assist. Property Management never answers or returns phone calls. Those smiling faces you see moving in disappear. Roll the dice at Elan and you may get any combination: insects or rodents in your apartment (I dont think they realize that residents speak to each other about issues), gates sometimes will not work and when they do your car may be damaged as they close without notice, car may were broken into, someone was shot, plenty of weed in the air. Water being turned off, forced cable payment, remodeling while you literally stay there.This could be a great complex, a great place to live. It looks amazing up front, but venture to the back to see the real. Make sure to ask if the apartment they show is the apartment you will be staying in. All in all, if Property Management worked as hard for the complex to be 5 stars as theyt padding the google review stats (as Awesome did), it might be an excellent place to stay. Rent always has extra fees tacked on, seems all they spend our money on is gardening. Gates are never working and slow response from office/maintenance. Updates were done during our time here with poor craftsmanship and quality. We pointed out a literal slanted countertop four times and it was never fixed.

Horrible complex. Please do not move in here. We endured 2 years of some rough terrain with several different management staffs but we were always compliant and did as we were asked. We began moving out in January a couple weeks PRIOR to our lease ending.. we had NOT turned in our keys, finished moving out or signed papers and a crew hired by the complex entered our apartment and stole almost 4,000.00 worth of possessions and after confronting them they refused to apologize or acknowledge what happened. We have lost a significant amount and it has impacted us greatly.

New management that took over is horrible! They took over summer of 2016 and its been terrible ever since. Communication is very slack whether it is by email, phone or in person. You can never receive all the information that you ask for...it doesnt matter if you ask 2 or 3 times. Contractors do more damage than they do renovations to the apartments. They stay longer than what they are supposed to without permission as well. There have been complaints towards management with that and nothing was done about it. My roommate and I also had issuesome with our last payment before we moved out. After 3 phone calls and a very long email that was not answered we finally got it resolved but Staff failed to give details on our questions about the balance in the beginning. I would not recommend this place until they have had thorough training in their roles...management included because you can never seem to get in touch with them or see them in person. We have moved out and have yet to meet anyone of upper authority.

This place is ridiculous. Literally moved in around November and every month theres a problem. Maintenance would take forever to come and even if they did they would make a bigger problem. My ac was broken and they wouldnt fix it until a week later. When they do try to fix it, they broke the water pipe. Arghhh Im so done with this place. I will not renew my contract here. Also they take forever to open the pool. When its open then a week later they say they need to fix some pipe. Seriously if you gonna open the pool so late in the year, I expect you to have everything you need to fix at the pool. Its ridiculous. This is the worst apartment I have ever stayed at.

We have not received the deposit yet. Waiting for the past 5 months. Required proof has been submitted. Followed up with emails.The check is being processed since March 15 2018. According to landlord tenant law, the deposit must be handed over within 30 days after the lease term ends.

Horrible place to live though I am still living here because of constraints. I dont suggest anyone to come and stay in this. The tennis court is broken,lights not working. I personally complained about this and have been complaining since last 6 months. No action taken as of now. They dont even bother about listening. One day we were playing tennis around 7 PM . One guy came to court yelling at us. We had to run away for safety. Its not safe as lot of mentally abnormal people are living here.

Moving to this apartment is the worst decision you can make....period!! The walls are paper thin, in my particular apartment the sink fell through the counter top and flooded my dining and living room, the staff do the patch job repairs and the company itself did these subpar updates (patch work) this is not luxury not in any facet of the word. And if you have small children this place definitely isnt for you they use a paint inside the apartments that literally cannot be cleaned. Your children splatter some food on the wall, color on the wall you can forget about cleaning that. They dont ever power wash or clean the exterior of the buildings so the outside balconies always look terrible there was mold on the inside portion of my balcony door..and to top it all off I found out there are now wasp in my living room vent. So yeah there are PLENTY of better apartments around Charlotte dont ignore the reviews like I did you will be sitting here six months from now writing the same review urging people to stay away from this place.

I was a resident here for almost 2 years. Some staff were nice but overall communication from the office/management was possibly the worst Ive experienced. They absolutely cannot be reached on the phone or through email to answer simple questions. Online portal to pay rent charges residents a huge percentage. Gym equipment just goes missing. Received hidden/unexplained bills after moving out. I will say that the complex does look nice for the most part and maintenance requests were usually handled rather quickly. However, due to the very bad communication issues with the office I wouldnt recommend staying here.

SCAM! Nothing but a bait and switch! This is not a luxury apartments. The management will give you incorrect information. The management lies Do Not Move Here!!.. They give you a tour of the new upgrade apartment but your apartment will not look like it. They try to give upgrades which are half done and try to upgrade it with you living in there. They lie and tell you the apartment would be finish by move in date which is not true.The apartment I was suppose to have was vacant for almost two months and they tired to throw everything together the day before my move in date and it still wasnt completed. Dont waste your time and money with this crooked company.

I have lived here a few years. It was fine until last summer, like others said when the new company came in. As if a year of renovations isnt inconvenient enough, staff had chanced several times, office staff, managers, maintenance. Calls, emails, & community posts to manager go ignored. That in itself is unacceptable. Gates no longer work ...so it is not gated! Pool is not yet open and its Memorial Day weekend! The gym was supposed to be upgraded. It looks the same, terrible. The business office we had is gone. Where are the amenities we are being charged for? For those of us that been here this last year through all of this should get reimbursed in some way. This is absolutely terrible! Most expensive place and worst place Ive ever lived in.

I have lived here for 2 1/2 years, and I love this apartment complex. They did go through a company switch, and now have a new maintenance staff. During the process, I was told that some work orders got behind. This is a beautiful landscaped, large patio, large closets, and bedroom apartment complex. They have great amenities, and I am taking advantage of them, especially the activity center & pool. Great place to live. Havent had any issues dealing with crimes or drugs.

Shoddy construction, very drafty, not well-insulated, everything old. Oven barely works; no upgrades. Heat bills and ac bad. Last month had to call maintenance 8-10 for 45 degree indoor temp; repairs not done properly; constant electricity use due to faulty and faultily repaired heat pump; then failed emergency heat; then enormous flooding downstairs but residents cant stop b/c they are locked out of room with spigot. Want to use your power for their suction machines and overnight/days huge fans; leave torn open wall over weekend with massive ant infestation. Now have done something so power flickers; breaker popped five times today alone; turns on washer, smells funny so I unplugged it. Afraid of electrical fire. Have told them 3 times. No one comes. Refuse to even consider compensating you for out of pocket costs, lost work, and personal inconvenience. No customer service ethic from business office. They couldnt care less. Find a cardboard box to live in - you will be happier.

This was by far the worst apartment and complex I have ever lived in. It looks great at first glance, but do not let that fool you. The staff is rude, unhelpful, and lazy. Maintenance issues are never taken care of in a timely or good quality manner. The building may look nice, but they are old and you will hear every pin drop in the unit above you. Many neighbors are also rude and not neighborly whatsoever. Management is a joke, does not return calls and does not keep their word. Office hours are nonexistent for anyone who works the normal 9-5 job, and tenants seem like the least of the worries to the staff. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!

I have had the most negative experience with the management that has taken over recently. We sent a maintenance request in about three months ago on the AC, that they say works, but has not worked properly since then; Charlotte has had it hottest summer yet, and no one is taking the final initiative to make the temperatures in our unit okay. We have been staying here for 2 and a half years now, and it was working fine before these guys took over. They are very unprofessional, and the maintenance team has not a clue what they are doing. Nobody shows up for weeks, and when they do, they have lack of knowledge. IF I COULD GIVE THIS MANAGEMENT A HALF A STAR, I WOULD. Also rent goes up next month, and it makes no sense to pay this much when you sit in a LITERAL SAUNA.

I can not wait to get tf up outta here!!! I have had soo many issues with this complex it makes so sense! The first apartment that I got a year ago was great everything was new i had very little issues with that apartment but when I decided to upgrade thinking I was going to get even better it was a Total DOWNGRADE more space yes which means more filth! I have called to try to put in maintenance request for my bathroom sinks that leak my kids toilet that runs which is why my water bill is so high the carpet that NEVER got cleaned after the 3rd flr water heater burst so now its created a horrible smell within my apartment I was told by the Fire department that my family and I should not stay in that apartment bc of the water damage within the walls and floor (under the carpet) bc it would create mold and not to allow them to tell us we had to stay they put huge fans inside my apartment to dry it out and painted over the water stains basically just covering it up inside of actually fixing it my Carpet still has not been cleaned and i have 3 children. My patio has not been power washed like i was told it was gonna b in june when i moved into this place so i have yet to enjoy that 🙄my microwave started falling apart my stove didnt work and my dryer had to be replaced the bathrub is a calked mess i still see mold stains around my tub ...my smoke alarms are beeping bc no one comes to do inspections on apartments like they should i just recently found mold around my window seals which is why my 3 year old son keeps getting sick ... My heat once they came to try to fix my heat bc it was not working (i was given two small heaters for a week time span to heat up my entire apartment) when i turn my heat on i can not control it it gets EXTREMELY HOT in my apartment and than i have to turn it off once it gets hot to turn it back on which raises my bill .... I addressed these problems with them when i got into the apartment and still til this day nothing has been done but they want 1400$ rent in which i held on to for a few months bc where im from if the landlord isnt doing the necessary things he dont get rent he gets taken to court if it wasnt for my babies they would of never received a dime from me i would of fought the evictions I have evidence of everything i just mentioned videos and pictures from start to now !!!!!! Also i was never signed up for the tenant portal or told how to receive my cable boxes im paying for cable that i dont even use i have not received 1 email from ELAN AT MALLARD CREEK ABOUT ANYTHING IM COUNTING DOWN OUR 3months here FINALLY and also My daughter and her friends tell me Ms.Awesome isnt so Awesome that she is rude to them whenever they come in the office to ask for candy that the office offered them at one point so THATS A BIG NO NO WHEN IT COMES TO A CHILD OF MINE !!!! If they took care of the apartments and hired BETTER maintenance Like they care about the landscaping it would b a much better complex

My experience with Elan at Mallard Creek has been a nightmare. I have actually filed a complaint about them. Recently applied for a 2 bdr/2bth apartment with attached garage and technology package. I was given a tour by Angela who was so friendly and I submitted my application and was approved instantly. I was approved on Sunday. I was told that the next step was to get verification from my current residency. During the course of 5 days I had called Elan several time with no call back, I sent them several emails in which I did receive a response. I was told on every occasion they were waiting for verification. I had called my currently leasing manager and he informed me three times on different days that no one from Elan or Milestone ever reached out to him, no call, no fax, no email, no mail, no voicemail. I even provided Elan his direct extension so there was no excuse. At day 5 I had enough. I called Milestone Management the owners of this property, I spoke to someone there and gave her the story and she said she would call over to Elan and see what was going on. About 10 minutes later received a call from Elan informing me that the apartment that I had been approved for was no longer available, that they were evicting the person and he came into their office that very morning and paid his rent. I could not believe my ears. Even after this I still tried to work with Elan. The way this company handled the whole situation was inappropriate, the continued emails and at no time did anyone reach out to me by phone, no apology was ever given, the lack of empathy and help to get me into an available apartment when there were 2 first floor apartments vacant a 3 bdrm/2bath on the 1st floor (apartments 712 and 112) in the same price range I was looking for which was never mentioned. I felt this company was not trying to work with me in anyway, I felt that what they did provide to me they knew I would not want, and was sent intentionally so I would decline. The lies told about reaching out to current manager to verify residency when no one ever called, faxed or sent a letter to this management company. The way I had to fight for my refund, and lack of compassion and efforts to get me in another apartment at different property (sister company), telling me would have to pay again and go through another credit inquiry, you would think that they would waive that since this was their mistake, there was no assistance from the management company to try to accommodate me in anyway. I would not want this to happen to anyone, they forced me to have to go rent at another complex and have another hard inquiry done on my credit report, they did not care. If you want to save yourself from any stress or anxiety, I would suggest you to not rent here. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Anywhere I can put a bad review I will for Elan or Milestone Management these people need to be held accountable for this, it was wrong, unprofessional and I will take 15 minutes out my day just to write one.

I live here now, had to move three times! the first apartment had mold and the floor was on a slant. Home number two was not bad, but there was a smoker that kept smoking in the apartment and my little sister and mom are allergic to smoke. So it took them EIGHT months to actually do something. They moved us again and now the person under us is smoking in the apartment. Which the complex is suppose to be (SMOKE FREE)!!! Ive been in this apartment for two months and no one has updated our information so i can pay my rent online, its more convenient for me with my work schedule. Ive never been late with my rent and because of the mix up, on the 6th they tried to evict me if I didnt pay by the 11th. Ive called left voice mails, and even sent out a email and still no response. Its a new month and still my acct online is not updated.... The staff is so rude and disrespectful to my mom, it seem like now I have to step in and take over. Please if you can dont move to this apartment community, its a nice area, but the maintenance is horrible and the apartments do not look like the model at all.

You cant even play music one night out of the week without people complaining. The walls are too thin. My roommates have had drunk people point a taser at them from another apartment while they were just talking with their friends and the guys also tried to fight them. I can hear people walking and talking from their cars and I can hear everything the people above me are doing. You cant live peacefully here. The staff is rude and unhelpful. I am happy that Im moving out of this complex.

Management is rude and dont care for any maintenance request. If you want to get maintenance done be prepared to followup for weeks before the office staff puts in the work order and another couple of weeks before the maintenance folks showup, so you are looking at 4-5 weeks before your maintenance request is done. Forget about emergency maintenance. They just dont care. I have never seen such arrogant and mean ladies in any other apartments. I regret the decision to move here.

My name is Kenisha Dougland... I visited Elan today.. My husband came prior and worked with the manager and was absolutely please and stund about the 2 bedroom he toured.. So knowing me I had to see for my self. I did read the reviews and was iffy to make my way down there, but I end up going any way.. The lady was very friendly, offered me a seat and water.. (God knows it was HOT!!) I spoke to a female named Ms. Alston.(sorry if i got her name wrong). She was very busy but was able to tour me.. I have to say I was speechless with the model home she should me!!! The closet and the patio was what sold me. Also its with in short distance of my job... Even though I have other communities to visit and they didnt have any thing for me asap this one is on the top of my list! Thank you guys for a great experience.

If I could give this place -5 stars I would. Nothing but a SCAM is what this apartment place is! Dont let them sucker you in with the bait and switch. They are completely taking advantage of me because I am a student and single female they dont think deserves respect. Moved in end of July to the filthiest and most run down apartment Ive EVER seen! The model home they showed me was completely different than what they showed me. Typical bait and switch scam. Not one thing in my apartment doesnt need replacing and everything is filthy. The entire phase 1 needs to be torn down it is so bad yet they do not tell you how different it will be. Leasing agent promised me things would be renovated in the month I was gone but returned home and not one thing was touched despite receiving a maintenance report that work was completed. Leasing agent is very unhelpful and only offers to upgrade me for phase 2 for a higher rent and MORE FEES. Paid $200 just in MOVE IN fees alone for nothing! Asked to speak with property manager and have been given the run around ever since. Leasing agent called me after previous renter had moved out and said I could see apartment. I made the trip and when I showed up the leasing agent claimed she didnt say that and said if I wanted to see apartment before move in I would have to PAY MORE. DO NOT LEASE HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

Hats off and 5 stars to Awsome Awute. I was alway from home and wasn’t able to get home for a couple of days. I called the office and spoke with Awsome with an urgent request to have my locks changed immediately. She advices me that she would take care of it right away. My daughter was at my apartment that day. After hanging up from Awsome I called my daughter to make her aware that the locks were going to be changed. Not more then 10 minutes later they were at my door getting the job done. I love that she made what I thought was urgent a sense of urgency as well....This is one of the reasons why I continue my residency at Elan at MallardbCreekFlow

So, I have been quiet while living here. But the review score you see is 100% accurate. Additionally, let me show you how they attempted to manipulate their score.The last three reviews from Patrice Harrington (former manager of the complex; google her name with Property Management), Cindy Wallace and Latoya Funderburk are all fake, all are more than likely employed by the company that oversees the property. To elaborate: Patrice Harrington (former manager of the complex) lives at Elan and Southpark Commons per her review history, Cindy Wallace, from NJ, lives at Elan and Southpark Commons per her review history (her reviews are almost exactly the same, and Latoya Funderburk lives at Elan and Grand Reserve at Pavillion, per her review history, Stacia Bowman also looks to stay at more than one of their properties at the same time. All those properties are owned by American Landmark. Seriously, google shows what you have reviewed previously. Ask yourself this: How good is a property management company if they have to manipulate the review scores of their properties? What type of service will they provide if they go to such lengths to discredit their residents? (Edit: Jay den and Dave Martin may be employees too)To be honest, Elan has issues. And it will take more than quick fixes and duct tape to address and repair. The biggest issue seems to be that they do not listen to the residents. The negative reviews do have truth behind them. You will place request that go unserviced, property management will not answer the phone, the water will be cut off, you will pay for a trash service that is not always collected, cars will be broken into and there are updates needed in the apartments. They provided updated appliances, but failed to address several needed issues. It could be a great place to live if they spent more time improving the issues and not manipulating the review scores.Take heed, if you move in, you will surely have unresolved problems. Yes, the staff is great (when you are moving in), but what happens when your a resident? When the smoke and mirrors are gone, the treatment changes. Again, there is validity to why the score is low. I did not want to speak out. But after looking at the absurdity of attempting to raise a review score with company staff, I could not stay silent.

Absolutely horrible communication in the main leasing office.Apparently Austin was in the office all weekend. Not only did I send numerous emails since Friday night, but I have also called and left 3 voicemail messages to the office since Friday. I have now finally on monday afteenoon hurd from someone else in the office. Unfortunately I have now lost the place I wanted very badly to someone who came in this morning randomly was able to look at it and put a deposit down to hold it. (I was even ready to sign the lease and pay 6 months up front) I would/could have been there saturday, sunday, or even at open this morning!! This is baffling, the unprofessionalism is absolutely unacceptable. The first thing we all do when we get to work is check emails and voicemails/ respond!!!! So because someone (Austin) didnt do that for multiple days all weekend I have now lost my perfect apartment and am forced to look elsewhere. I am truly devastated. This Austin gentleman, in my opinion should be fired!!. Im very disappointed this complex runs this way. That area is way too new and nice to have places functioning in such ways.

I have 6 month old and necee know when I get up will we be able to wash. Staff is terrible, property manager haven’t called me back since i moved in June. TERRIBLE STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

We decided that the lack of professionalism at the leasing office is a warning sign for my family to stay away from signing a lease. Current resident here and I have been complaining for months about certain maintenance issues (leaks, Mold, mice) no one has come to spray or patch up my ceilings for months highly disappointed! I pay my rent on time every month which pest control is included in that!

While visiting Charlotte, NC with my husband on business. We both took the time out in visiting a few Apartment locations. I must say by far Elan at Mallard Creek really caught my husband and my eyes. We both had decided that this is where wed like to reside once we relocated from the BIG A. Leasing consultant Lakeeta was very helpful in showing us an apartment even due to being under construction with new updates, it was a pleasure. Once I had returned back to the Big A I begin to read the reviews on Elan at Mallard Creek. There were so many negative reviewswhich I found to be very odd considering my pleasant experience. Although I have not actually moved in to an apartment just yet but I am actually going with my heart and not base my decision on what others may feel. Their negative reviews may have come from how they treat people. That was our first experience.After a few months had gone by we visited again and it was during this time that we had gotten to meet a few of the office staff members and worked closely with Awesome. I must say they all worked very well together as a team to ensure our application process went as we would anticipate. I would recommend Elan at Mallard Creek when dealing with professionals. I have my apartment and will be relocating in the next few days from the BIG A to Charlotte, NC . I RATE THE ENTIRE OFFICE TEAM an A+. The craziness of it all is that we actually found something in Concord which was a little cheaper but chose for Elan at Mallard Creek to remain our home for another year.Today is June 24, 2019- I am writing a revise to my first and last initial review on Elan at Mallard Creek. This place has gone down tremendously. Starting with the new management Ms. Kellz who is not personable at all with tenants. Everything about here is fake she tries to patronize the tenants along with her minion Mechale. I feel that things were moving much better when Ms. Shareca, Awesome, Lakeeta and Jason were running things down at the office. The work got done and they all were personable and cared about the concerns of the tenants. I have been living in inhabitable conditions for more than a week and a half now due to a flood from my neighbor upstairs things are moving very slowly with the repairing of my apartment. I have never experienced living under these conditions before nor will I stand to continue living under these conditions. I will be making a few phone calls to insure my apartment problem gets rectified. I wish they would bring back Awesome and Shareca that made my living at Elan at Mallard Creek comfortable along with Lakeeta and Jason they were the perfect dream team.Also the garbage dumpster is such an eye sore. Cleanliness of vestuble area is a joke no power wash. i literally have to go out and clean the area myself only because dont want to track none of the non sense into my apartment. Maintenance is limit at this apartment complex. There are so many more issues that I can list not only am I having issues but many of my neighbors as well.

The staff iate not friendly and very rude. No one will attend maintenance requests and this apartment becoming more insecure wih police every day complex. Thouothey boast they rennovated apartments, but quality of work is very poor and it is not worth. Gym and other amenities are very bad shape, and dont move in.Advice to mangement: no wonder why your apartment ratings are so poor with such staff you have in office

Absolutely the worst apartment complex ive ever lived in my wife and i regret moving here! Let me start with the actual apartment itself there are countless issues from cheap materials used in the layout different color wood used in the bathrooms and kitchen, we practically had to beg for new blinds when we moved in the ones that were here previously were dirty and old, weve already had to have or washing machine replaced it just kept running water and not washing the loads which lead to a $94 water bill, Most recently my hot water heater is leaking water onto my floor but as usual I cant get anyone to come out to repair it until its convenient to them I assume thats just a few issues ive had and i only been living here since March, Lastly the staff is the worst ever very lazy and unprofessional the word office hours is none existent several times ive called and no answer just to go to the office and see them there laughing and smiling without a care in the world... I would warn anyone looking to move here its definitely not worth the money and headaches!

Zero star . Worst community . Very bad experience. New management is horrible.Every time they do one thing just increase your rent . Maintenance is horrible.I had raised maintenance request for the same problem 10 times . They come and do some temporary fix and after that what ever mess happened because of that, they dont care just say its not our responsibility. First they use cheap items in the apartment, it breaks everyday and then they say its not our problem .Disgusting. Even if water overflow situation happens because of their poor maintenance, they will just come and say they can not do anything, its your responsibility to handle with all the flood situation we dont care . Frustrating . I will never ever recommend anyone . I have never faced such problem with old management .New management is just waste and so rude .

This place is mice infested and the buildings including mines always have pipping problems that led to floods. Apartment appears to come off as a very nice place to live. Lots of break-in, lots of false advertising. Property has a gate but its always open, not so much of a gated community.

The most awful experience ever in United States soil!I will never recommend this apartment to any one from any Nationality. The staff are rude to the core. She even pulled back the application I was to fill up saying you dont have to do it and you can leave with no indication to refund the money they owe me. You dont get this kind of discriminating treatment anywhere. The apartment looked good to me and I gave money to lock it for move in. Later they say they cannot look me up with my name and SSN in their system and said my application is denied. When I asked for reason, they dont have any reason to give. The only response was, This is what our software came up with. They made me lose a day to go to their office as none of them were answering the phone for hours. You cannot leave a voice mail as the call routes to their call center who happen to know nothing about whats happening there. They even ask if I have a Visa or not. I am a legal resident alien with a work authorized Social Security paying taxes and this is how they treat... My Credit History is Excellent, Rental History is Good, but they seem to expect something more than everything a normal middle class earning community will have. If I am a US Citizen I would have definitely sued them for ill treatment, bad conduct and pathetic hospitality. Equal Housing Opportunity is ZERO at this place. They mock, insult and treat you like trash.Bottom Line - Never go to this place for anything. Recent thing I learned is that Burglary is common over there even though they are a well GATED community. You will lose money, respect and peace of mind. Keep Out of this place. They have to respect and give space for the customers, not boss them and get over their face pulling the applications back as if Customers are some hostages from a dead land.
