Worst place ever!!! Rented my sister an apartment about 2-3 weeks ago with stain on large brown stain on carpet, missing pieces of the fridge and came to add a few used parts but not all….counter tops very damaged and scraped up, flooring is coming up in both bathrooms, obvious poor repair of 2 big holes in the wall, poor cell service, also it’s very spider invested with lots of webs on the stairs, I can see outside through the crack in my door I’ve put work orders in and when the maintenance finally did come they where also shocked about the condition and not very concerned about fixing saying “the best I can do” and “probably” the back side of the neighborhood is very dirty and seems like the office only cares for the front of the neighborhood…not a gated community because the gates do not work.
Darkness! That’s what you see the minute you arrive to the apartment complex at night. All the lights out front is burnt out making it really dark. Even the entrance light are out so you can’t even see the name of the establishment when you arrive. I don’t feel safe walking my dog in the evening because it’s just too dark. I really wish they would just replace those light bulbs. Basic things like that (especially as a safety matter) should always be a top priority.
I had a very pleasant experience while staying at Safire. The office management changed twice during my stay, but all of them have been very kind and helpful to me. Most problems were handled in a timely manner until Covid, but that is understandable. I had a very nice and cozy apartment that I miss. I reallydid not experience any problems with my neighbors during my stay. The management is always doing something nice, and positive or the community to mingle. I would definitely rent from them again if I am ever in the area!
I have lived at Safire for a couple of years and this review is for the leasing office, specifically Kyra. She has dealt with me about 98% of times Ive walked into the leasing office for one reason or another. The most recent encounter, I was called about my bill and Kyra took her time to explain it all to me. I was also multi-tasking at work and had to abruptly end the call but Kyra was able to capture all of my questions and concerns and handled it speedily. Thanks again for all you do! I truly appreciate it.
Nice location, close to 74, but not a lot of noise. Staff seems helpful and any issues that have been brought up were addressed. Floor could have been cleaned better, that was really it. Otherwise a solid place and don’t have any big complaints
I enjoy living at Safire. I have been here for a long time. More than 10 years and I love it here. The office staff are very friendly. Kyra and Binneey are very kind and helpful. Maintenance has been fast with fixing issues lately.
If I could do a negative 5 stars I’d definitely do so, save your money. Being ready to move these people sure did sale me a roach infested unit. With all the pictures to prove my claims it’s very terrible business and still haven’t received my security deposit refund. It being a whole month now I moved out August 1st 2021 it’s now September 1st 2021. Again SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY GO ELSE WHERE.!!!! Also there was mold build up n my ac ducts along with my refrigerator not closing for a month straight them telling me my fridge was put on back order causing me to lose $200 in groceries ina mouth span prompting me to urgently move ASAP due to there negligence . That being I do have a two year old this place needs new management. Again still haven’t received my refundable security deposit
Hello everyone I must say the last 8 months i been with Safire I got veryGood service They have a very good Team I work with Kyra she alwaysgot back to me by text or email, I may do another year because the priceIs right.
I don’t generally write negative reviews but after moving in a month ago and continuously dealing with obstacle after obstacle, I feel it’s necessary. Signing the lease was no problem, I dealt with Krya in the main office who did a decent job of getting bqck to me. After I moved in though, contacting the main office, including Krya, was like contacting outer space. I had no ice maker, no porch light, no hot water at all. I wanted to rent a washer and dryer but nobody from the office responded. When I finally went to the laundry facility, their app failed me, and when I went to the main office for help, they looked at me and shrugged. All I want at this point is to be able to wash clothes and get a simple maintenance request taken care of. Ridiculous.
I lived here for 6 years they simply took me out of the contract without even telling me or e-Mail me they charged me high fines. and even said it would spoil my record if not pay .
I made a maintenance request 5 months ago and I am in the office every week trying to get my request filled. Every time I go to the office, its the same run around story. My AC unit makes so much noise that it’s so hard to sleep at night. They obviously don’t care. The property manager Kimberly sits right there, hears the conversation and turns a blind eye. Customer services should be strived for in this company but clearly that’s not on their agenda. Money is! Choose wisely before you decide to move here
The new property manager Kimberly is absolutely a reason to live here. Not only will she support you in any need or concern you have, her staff will as well. Bethenny and Kimberly are the best thing to happen to Safire! They bring the meaning of family to our community and are working so diligently to meet all the tenant and apartment complex needs! No apartment I’ve ever lived in has worked harder. They actually CARE! They have made this a better place to live in just a month of being here. Great things to come!
My girlfriend moved in two months ago still havent came to shampoo the carpet have a new baby she can never get in touch with the office poor management I feel like if she going to pay $1100 n rent they need to do something they want there $$ for rent but cant do anything for the tenant
Just moved here and so far so good. The place is quiet and the office was very helpful as I needed a place pretty quick. Im in one of the renovated units and I cannot complain at all. Everything is new and clean with a good sized bathroom and a lot of closet space for me to shove things into. 5 stars so far 👍
Please do not move to the property . It’s not worth the time and money . Please invest in a better property. Property staff changes frequently due to incompetent property manager . Please beware of property. Pest control and property grounds are not kept up to par. Trash lingers for weeks, with no disposable pick up . Apartments are infested with roaches . My apartment in particular had a very bad roach problem, in which pest control never adequately addressed . But the mouse problem took the cake, my apartment also had an mice problem on top of roaches. You would think for the highly rent amount for the apartment this wouldn’t be an issue . But like I stated previously the grounds are not kept up to par. I never in my life had an experience living roaches and mice until I moved to Safire at Matthews . The property manager an staff are not even empathetic . They expect you still live and cope living with mice and roaches as if it is acceptable . Took maintenance weeks to come address the mouse problem . I paid rent for an apartment I never stayed out because I noticed the lack of sensitivity and effort of staff to address the issue knowing I have a small child . I immediately stopped living in the unit .The property manager and staff, Including maintenance will do the bare minimal which is the least cost effective to address mice and roaches problems within the units. The property manager and staff at Safire have no morals and values about themselves. In life you should always think about putting yourself in someone else shoes and think how would you want to be treated or handled in certain situation . The lack of empathy shown towards me and small family, is truly disgusting on behalf of Safire team. Also Ms. Catherine Rogers post is so transparent and the same situation happened to me and my small family a few months ago the end of a May to be exact. So please be aware, if you do decide to lease please check under your stoves and refrigerators to check for any previous mouse traps . My dad found old mouse traps that was laid down by maintenance from previous tenants behind my fridge and underneath the stove after I moved out . So property manager and staff knows units have mouse and roach problem but will keep denying . Sorry for the long paragraph, but take the time to read . Charlotte is very expensive place to live, but don’t waste your hard earn money with this property. Also, all the leasing representatives are new they haven’t been there that long, so they will lie to you about the property’s . Since I moved to the apartment in January the turnover rate for staff in the office is sad . It’s always new people working, and they don’t know much about nothing . So please be mindful they will lie to you about any problem within the units on this property . These units have all types of problems but your main concern would be the roaches and mice . Don’t let the gated community and large family pool fool you and your family . Stay away from this property unless you ready to be fighting rodents at night.
We have been having an issue with MOLD growth in my apartment since July 2020. Brought it to the attention of management and nothing has been done about it. Each time I attempt to follow up on my request to have this problem resolved, I am given the runaround. They either do not recognize the potential hazard mold poses, especially to our baby, or they do not care. After many years of living here, we have decided to move. The management here has greatly deteriorated. I have some other maintenance issues that are yet to be addressed. Some for nearly a year. I am also missing a number of deliveries that were dropped off at the office. And they rarely answer the phone.RESPONSE TO THE RESPONSE:You know exactly who I am because you just sent me an email regarding my 60 days notice. I have sent a number of emails to the address listed in your response, yet to get a single reply regarding the mold problem in my apartment. Not from you Kyra, Kimberly, or anyone else in the rental office. However, you have the time to disingenuously respond to my review. So.....Yep, Safire at Matthews is the right community.
Excellent place to live at. Binneey Tewani at the Leasing Office is exceptionally fantastic and she always goes out of her way to make every resident feel welcome and special.
I have been calling since 10am until now 3:40pm, Ive called probably 20 times and not one person has answered the phone.
Thus far I don’t have many complaints about my living experience at Safire. The front office keeps busy and most times it’s best to just visit to get questions answered. It’s quiet out here, response to maintenance requests, are pretty quick, and they’ve been adaptable during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I appreciate their hard work to help out their residents. Great place to live!
Moved here in January and I have a fridge that leaks water into the floor at least twice a week and I have put in several maintenance request and nothing is done, the problem is ignored. The roof leaks ever since I moved in and nothing has been done to fix that either. Laundry room is always dirty, gym equipments don’t work. This is an update to my previous post. I want to say thank you to the new property manager KB and also Binney for taking the time out to listen to and address my complains. Thanks also to KC the maintenance guy for taking care of issues mentioned above. I see they are trying there best to make changes and I appreciate it. The only reason I give four stars now is because the roof issue hasn’t been taken care of yet but I was assured it will be soon. Thanks again guys.
RACHEL MADE IT ALL WORTH IT!!! I moved here from Indiana almost 2 years ago and Rachel helped me complete my move in process 100% online. Though I encountered some problems while living here, they were always made better by Rachel. And now Rachel is leaving and so am I. Thanks for everything Rachel and Safire at Matthews Apartments!
I absolutely love it here at Sapphire its my second time living here and its been a great experience both times its quiet peaceful and clean and easily accessible to everything I would recommend it for a home for anyone and the staff are awfully nice which is an added benefit
Just moved in recently. The process was quick and easy which was much appreciated since I had to move the same week I applied. Jessica was amazing and always available to answer any of my questions. I had a maintenance request that was completed within 2 days of submitting which was great. I have no complaints thus far!
Excellent Place To Live!
Casey ( the maintenance tech ) came to fix my refrigerator but realized I needed a new one . He replaced my huge old one with another one they had in a vacant apartment but ordered me a brand new one ! He was extremely polite and helpful with other requests I had brought to his attention that same day as well . He is always a super nice guy.
This review is about Danny, the head maintenance worker. Even though Danny only had himself and one other person to do the much needed work at this complex, he always managed to help as many tenants as he could. Unfortunately we had to leave the complex and will definitely miss seeing Danny.
DJ is freaking amazing. I had a life change and was so down and she made my transition so much smoother. She listened to my wants and showed me two units. I decided to go with the smaller of the 2 and its absolutely beautiful. Five stars plus for her.
Just moved in recently. The process was quick and easy I have no complaints thus far! They are friendly. Repair things quickly. On top of things and are respectful.
Please be careful renting from this place. My daughter rented an apartment and it’s infested with bugs. We tried everything. The management or maintenance did nothing. The appliances didn’t work. They refused to do anything. They delayed fixing her mailbox and her mail was stolen. They would lie and say they fixed the complaints. The grounds are so filthy. We documented everything to show them and they didn’t care. She never stayed in the apartment due to the bugs!!! All this new management want is money!!
I would like to say Binneey Tewani, is a joy she was so helpful with my search for my new place. Her attitude is the best i have seen in a long time. Pleasant smile always kind and helpful.. If you are looking for a place or someone to help you please ask for Binneey Twani, she is the BEST!!!!!!
Moved back here in July of 2019, worked with DJ and Rachel. From the time I first met them, they have been VERY respectful, helpful and goes above and beyond ! I had a couple issues at the beginning with my air unit and the unit was ordered and a new unit was installed in 2 days. They’ve been VERY helpful during this COVID-19 crisis. Rachel did EVERYTHING she could and directed me to EVERY resource to make sure I was taken care of ! Definitely renewing my lease. Good location with alot of access to things on Independence and Sardis. Don’t have to drive far for anything
The grounds are never kept and the pool is a mess . The neighbors smoke and leave trash in the parking lot area. My mother has called and sent in maintenance requests online about our kitchen disposal and also our A/C unit and nobody responds. There is a lack of security at night time on numerous occasions there have been car break-ins throughout the neighborhood. This place is a joke rent somewhere else.
Great staff, incredibly friendly! Gym is small but never close to being packed. Laundry facilities arent super great so I go to my sisters to do my laundry which works out great anyways. Great location for the price. The pool is large but not deep so its kid friendly. They are constantly doing improvements that make me feel really good about this place. Im definitely going to renew my lease!
They have roaches and will not come spray for them. Neighbors smoke a lot of weed it comes through the vents and they say there is nothing they can do because they are not a smoke free complex. My mailbox has been broken since I moved in. They have given me 4 different keys and none of them have worked because the actual box is broken. The last time I went to use the key the entire frame to all the mailboxes came open either because its broken or the mail man didnt lock it...dont know. The broken community gates swings back and forth and almost hit my car one morning. Cant wait till the lease is up!!! Avoid this place.
Not worth a $1000 plus rent!! neighbors smoke, mailbox never works, staff never really take the initative to help a tenant. Just as long as you pay the rent on time they dont care about anything else, you have a question and want to call the office? No one anserws. My girlfriend and I will not be renewing our lease please rent somewhere else .
I just moved out here and it it very quiet. Move in proces was fast and Binneey Tewani was helpful.
We are so happy here! We moved in a month ago and have enjoyed it. The staff has been very friendly and accomidating. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, cost friendly place!
Unfortunately in two years living here, gates never worked, we have a swimming pool, tennis court have retired and we have only mud and many frogs that at night gets horrible to sleep from so much noise, we do not have a playground and no dog, no we have trash cans in the condominium to get to play the dogs ... I hope that now being Safire this will improve, although we work from Monday to Friday and the office closes at 6pm and we do not have time to go in the office and the end of Is the week closed? How do I get my orders? How do I resolve a situation? my kitchen sink crusher is not working and we have already emailed more than a week and no answer or solution to the problem!
Amazing community! Very Appreciative for all that they offer and do.
So far so good. I’ve rented from Dasmen residential in the past and it was the worst experience while renting. I must say I was disappointed when they switched over but all is well so far. The only concern I have is that I really wish they would maintain the front entrance, (cut grass, trim bushes, pretty flowers in front of the Safire sign, etc) the other property management kept the grounds in top notch shape. It’s clear nothing has been maintained since they switched and it just looks very “messy” when you pull up.
Unfortunately this is not a good place to rent at its not worth the money. The appliances are outdated and never work properly especially the electric stove and oven.Customer service is terrible whenever you call the front office it always goes straight to voicemail and they never return important calls. When you make your rent payments staff kept sending it to the wrong unit. I had to jump hurdles for someone to listen and see the mistake they are making. Then they would send out frivolous eviction notices even when your current with your payments. If your looking to rent at Safire proceed with caution and do your research. Save yourself the headache.
I walked onto the property and was greeted by a very fun welcoming staff. i loved the energy and upkeep of the property and would rent there
I used to go up here s lot. I dont notice anything special about this place yes they do keep it clean seem to be professional enough but nothing special thats why I give it a three.
Frustrated situation, after 3 years living in one of the best complex in the area, really bad management they got now! I got around 4 weeks waiting on my refund check with Not answers at all! The last management told me “ they will take care about you” and the new one said “ you should go and find them nothing to do with us” what kind of customer service is that one? I truly love this community but it’s just a SORRY management !! Loyal residence over 3 years choosing you don’t deserve that kind of treatment!
The property recently switched from Lincoln to Dasmen. Every since the transition I have seen a spiral down in the quality of service. The pool opened late and it does not look like it is well kept. It looks dirty most times. I love to swim but I have never been in. Also my air condition has been broken three times this summer. Instead of fixing the problem it has been patched. Each time I call with the emergency concern of my air not working, the policy ( that controls how quick they attend to the problem) changes. The longest my air has been off has been 5 days and counting which is illegal. Long story short this apartment complex is surrounded by others move some where else! I know I will be!
Well I moved in in october and so far I really like it. Its very peaceful here and no bothers. I live in the bottom floor and I hear some footsteps but its not the type that really bothers me. The only bad part about this particular apartment is it doesnt have washer and dryer connections. For the amount of rent i believe all apartments should have one but no biggy. I needed the apartment asap anyway and I took it like that. Maybe Ill ask if I can upgrade when my lease is up to an apartment that has connections. But overall great office staff and just a great neighborhood.
I recently relocated to Charlotte I found McAlpine Ridge Apartments online I must say there reviews was spot on the property is very nice, the location is perfect,The staff is very nice and professional especially Annie she made my move in process very simple and easy. I have no complaints so far. By the looks of things I will not be moving from this property anytime soon.
So far my stay at mcalpine has been pretty good. The only complaint would be that I was given a 1 week notice that my rent was going up. Yup 1 week. More recently I was told I have been paying something other than what I signed . ...... That seems a bit strange and I probably will have to move. So unfortunate became I really love it there but shady rent increases cant be ignored! People hold on to each lease agreement. That probably wont matter though. :(
I am a single person and I feel safe here. Office Mgr. Jeff is very nice and always very helpful. Enoe is a sweet lady and always tries to help. I love the summer time here, nice pool and friendly people. Great to get together with neighbors and barbecue.Maintenance crew are very easy to talk to and have always fixed whatever I needed. It is clean, gated and all around nice place to live. ❤
DO NOT RENT HERE! My daughter (a college student) rented from Safire - one of the worst places to rent from in Charlotte area. Rachel the leasing manager, never leaves her office to speak directly with tenants and often placed her rent check on others account, then would send out frivolous eviction notices. The stairways/entrance has NOT been pressure washed since the place was built. She rented a washer and dryer - it took 3 months and me threatening to put her rent in escrow to get it. There is a infestation of bugs - I had to pest control items from Home Depot. There were Neighbors smoked weed which reeked. The list goes on and on...
The only issues I had with McAlpine Ridge is the security gates are always open. Theyre open more than they are closed. Also, when my apt was burglarized while we slept McAlpine was little to no help and 2 days later someone else was burglarized. Im not blaming McAlpine but maybe it couldve been narrowed down if the gates werent constantly opened. When the rent was hiked up by nearly $200.00 to renew, McAlpine couldnt have cared less. I received a notice 45 days to vacate if Im not renewing.... but I must give a 60 days notice. I think it wouldve been helpful and courteous to send a notice at 60 days. So that left me with 2 days out of a week to find a place to live that equals about 14 days. However, it wouldve been nice if McAlpine was willing to negotiate a healthy median since I was already a resident. That didnt happen. Not only did that not happen, when I asked for a smaller apartment that was within budget I was told Ill have to go through the whole process again INCLUDING a $150.00 transferring fee (not cool)Seriously, I would still be there if I could stomach paying the extra $200.Staff is excellent, Id give 4.5 starsMaintenance is excellent 4.5 starsCleanliness is excellent 4.5 starsAmenities overall 4 starsThe general population 4 stars (very diverse)P.s. Independence Blvd traffic is a monster. Allow yourself an extra 10 minutes just to get through it from one corner until the next :) also note theres an accident nearly every day on Independence Blvd.Hopes this helps someone.Peace
Before you consider moving here, please read. I moved here March 2019. The experience has been sub par. Dog poop is all over the grass because people dont pick it up. Its a smoking community and I wasnt informed until after I moved in. Im not sure if the new company is still a smoking community. However, my unit still has a lingering cigarette smell. The front office people are really nice but its almost impossible to get them on the phone. My old apartment is the same size as my current apartment and it had much more room for my belongings. However, the balcony is pretty big, Bathroom is also spacious. Im not a fan of the walk-in closet in the bathroom. I also like the ceiling fan and the light fixtures. Lastly, some of the appliances and are outdated, the pool still isnt open, only one machine in the fitness center is working, and the gate doesnt work.I use their online system to pay rent. However, one time I made a payment using the wrong bank account, so I submitted an inquiry a couple days prior to the end of the grace period, it took then 3 weeks to reply back on the online system. I also called the office and could not get in touch with anyone. They did provide with me with a late fee credit but I still had to pay a return check fee which could have been avoided.Outside of these issues that Ive experienced, everything else has been pretty good. Im waiting for the new management to improve things but im not holding my breath. Its a good chance Im moving as soon as my lease is up.
We have been living here for 3 years and have recently signed the contract for the 4th year.Pros.:1. Good community, nice and clean.2. Recently changed management and they have changed the staff and added a lot of maintenance guys- last crew of 3 was good, but they did struggle a lot. Even though we had issues with leasing office managers, those are strange, but minor.3. We have swimming pool and it’s not crowded in summertime. Every night officer comes to close it down - it’s nice and quiet at the night time.4. We have direct access to the McAlpine Ridge park. Which is nice place to go for a walk or to go to Gmart store or General Dollar.5. Gym is small and old, but it’s good for a short workout.6. Grills are nice. We have gas grills.7. Free coffee at the office for tenants and dog cookies for their dogs. What we don’t like:1. You can smoke and fire up a fireplace, but you can’t have candles and light them up inside your apt- that is a funny add on to your lease agreement.2. We get cigarette smoke into our apt from neighbors downstairs and there is nothing we can do.3. Gated community has its gates broken for a whole year already.4. Tennis court- not functioning and it was recently taken down.5. We have 2 of our cars broken into last year- the glass was shuttered. Ended up to be 1000$ expense to fix that. Also radio was stolen from one of the cars twice.6. Once an armed thief got into our community and got it locked out for 5-6 hours. Google it- fun stuff.
I have lived here for three years with no problem but now a lady on the second floor pours her dirty mop water on her patio floor which is wooden and the water comes on my patio. I have plants and a patio set and this water is damaging the plants and the cushions on the patio set.I am a senior citizen and I am in my apartment most of the time, I am afraid to sit on the patio for fear that she will throw water down. i have complained to the office but still this problem persists. I dont know who to turn to for help.
After they sold McAlpine Ridge and made it Safire at Matthews, we have a lot more issues. They ripped of tennis court and put dog playground, which I believe is still not working, I have never seen anyone there. They started renovation of the swimming pool in May, it’s end of June and it’s NOT open yet. The reasons are made up, I don’t think they really care about the residents, they do not even bother answering comments from their residents on facebook. The pool will most likely be not open next week or -who knows- this summer maybe.Even though they post pictures of the CLOSED pool saying it’s a great place to chill. 👍Outdoor area is dirty, management is not responsive.
This place is joke. My lease ends soon and I’m so happy! My apartment was maintenance man special and nothing was up to par. Everything is outdated. I had to request for a new toilet seat because I moved in with a old stained one! I had so many bugs in apt, that the walls are stained . I didn’t even unpack my kitchen ware because I don’t trust the cabinets. One of the cabinets started to grow mold . My suggestion is stay away from the 1 bedroom apts close to the park . Maintenance men are good but front staff is a joke. Once you signed they act like they don’t know you. I have a bug problem every week. When I first applied and pay the admin I was told one price and when I called back a week later the leasing agent said the apt was gone and the apt I had to take was 50 more because of a new stove. Mind you I already paid the admin to hold the apt. I’m so done with the place. I wouldn’t recommend my worse enemy to rent here
Weve been living here for 10 months now and we have enjoyed our stay. Nice apartment and fairly quiet surroundings if you dont mind the traffic off of Independence.
I just moved in about a week ago, and I dont normally write reviews, but I think the staff at McAlpline Ridge definitely deserve a compliment. I went to roughly 13 apartment complexes in the area and the staff here was by far the most knowledgeable, friendly, and overall very helpful. The other complexes I went to the staff were not knowledgeable what so ever about the application process or leasing in general. Of the complexes I looked at maybe 25% would actually answer the phone when you called. McAlpine Ridge staff ALWAYS answers the phone and is able to answer my numerous questions I had along the way. My apartment is very clean and well taken care of. I requested maintenance to look at my shower head and they came that day and replaced it no problem. So far my experience has been very good, great staff, clean, safe place to live.
I would like to comment on one of the ladies that works up front. Her name is Miss Trameka. She always helps me out when I have questions or deliveries. She always has a smile on her face and treats me and my little girl like family. When I see her out on the property she always greets us. And honestly I try to always go to her for rent and anything I may need because she has always helped me out without any issues.Without a doubt, Trameka is the reason I decided to rent my apartment here. Im happy that I made this decision and my little girl and I will miss her greatly if I have to move. We always look forward to seeing her in the office even if its just to say hello!!
I love this place its quit your near the park everyone is very nice here
Wish i could leave a review of NEGATIVE 5! they constantly GIVE YOUR PACKAGES AWAY TO ANYONE! And say that they are doing a COURTESY BY HOLDING DELIVERIES! Yeah well if my MEDICATION IS MISDELIVERED THEN WHOSE FAULT IS THAT??? and they dont care!
The stove tops are going to kill someone! Pay high rent for location and living in 1990’s apartment. You can dress up the outside but inside is so out dated and the appliances are horrible. Most everyone on my block complains of the stoves malfunctioning and being too hot. But our high rent can’t provide us a safe home. Shame on the owners.
They always renovated the outside, but never the inside. I had old stale carpet, old cabinets, kitchen appliances (except for the refrigerator), and fixtures. I had 3 leaks. There were 2 leaks in the living room and laundry room that came from the 3rd floor and 1 leak in the bathroom that came from the 2nd floor. The carpet people came to put the carpet back down once it dryed, and I was told they would be accompanied by one of the maintenance men. That was a lie, because they used my bathroom. I came home from work and the toilet seat was up. The grounds keepers always blew leaves and debris on the patio. I had to keep calling the office to have them clean it up. Mind you, you have to go on the patio in order to get to the laundry room. I kept tracking leaves and dirt in the apartment. The walls and ceiling are paper thin. You could hear people using the bathroom, having sex, watching TV, etc. The parking is horrible. If you leave home after afternoon rush hour is over, you cant find a parking spot. The rent there was cheaper than a lot of other properties, so you get what you pay for. The office staff didnt ever really seemed concerned about your complaints, they just wanted the rent money. Then, when people write bad reviews, the manager replies with the most sincere apologies. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY HERE.
Ok so first of all one the dopest places to live. Sweet to know you have a great team who care and is there for you whenever you need them. Diahjia & Kalen not only gave us a peace of mind with our concerns they also made us feel comfortable and it felt more of friendship then business. Theres a great park with private access, close to the city and tons of places to eat nearby. Affordable prices, spacious size apartments and you get to redeem points you earned for upgrades, merchandise, etc. Thank you again Diahjia & Kalen for making us feel awesome.
I usually don’t leave reviews, but Trameka Wilson has been incredible!! I had a last minute financial emergency and couldn’t move into my apartment, and the longer I waited to move in, the price on the apartment kept going up to the point where I couldn’t really afford it. Trameka went out of her way and found another beautiful apartment for $140 less to hold for me!! Most leasing agents would probably have an “oh well” attitude toward my situation, but I could tell she genuinely cared. Thank you sooo much!! I’m so appreciative!
I have lived here for a year and there are much better places. I was promised a 3rd floor apartment with a fireplace, wound up with a 2nd floor apartment without a fireplace because the person living in my promised apartment decided to stay two days before my move in. WHEN WERE THEY GOING TO GO IN TO CLEAN??? The gate hasnt been fixed in over 6 years, there have been multiple care vandalisms, neighbors playing loud music after hours, the list goes on. you can call the courtesy officer as much as you wish but they never come. Theres dog poop everywhere. They charge residents pet rent but never refill the pet stations so the residents dont have anything to pick up with anyway. If theres anything going wrong with your apartment in terms of leaks or anything, they will use whatever cleaning supplies they find in your apartment to clean with, including a whole roll of paper towels that they wont even apologize for using or replace. The new property manager is nice enough and does what she can though.
Moving is never easy but Trameka by far made it an easy experience. While apartment hunting to residing here she goes beyond for her residents. Girl, you rock! Such a sweet, humble soul. You can tell her residents come first and my concerns and requests are always met above than what I expected, so thank you for that Trameka. Mcalpine is a very quiet, clean community to live in. Nice pool area w. Gym and BBQ. Access to the park along with bunch of shopping centers and the city few minutes away.
Well the stuff are great there.I never meet nicer pleople .Luiza is wonderful !She explains everything you want to know, she is so respectful, helpful and have a lot of patience.I don’t know other names, but ladies from office were great too.
This complex has its ups and downs. Trameka at the front office is nice to speak with in regards to matters. Enoa can be very condescending. I do not understand how some people can be so nice when they want you to rent an apartment but then once you are a resident they no longer show care or compassion for any issues. Maintenance takes ages to get anything done and some of the amenities are never working, they have a tennis court but have no net, they have laundry on site but most the time it is so dirty so I ended up buying my own Washer/Dryer. I would not advise my friends or family to live here. This may just be my experience but I do not plan on renewing my lease.
Hey I lived here for a year, but chose to leave due to the rent going up, but I really liked my stay. I had an issue with my 1st apartment because the floorboards above me would make a really bad squaky sound when the neighbors moved, and the apartment complex Manger Jeff I belive his name was along with Trameka and Enoa all helped to relocate me to another apartment room and kept me at the same rate as my old one which was fantastic. Unfortunatly there is new management now and I dont know how thats going to be but I had a great experience here
At first glance the place is amazing. Nicely kept, gated, and near all the local stores you would need. Anoah, who works in the office, was really nice and helpful when I spoke with her the first time. I called back to inquire about a specific unit listed on the website and spoke with Trameka. She was rude and spoke to me as if I was bothering her and not a potential tenant. The first time she rushed me off the phone and told me to call back since the prices would be changing. Okay fine, so the second time I called and she again, rushed me off the phone, and in a rude manner asked me are you going to apply for the apartment? After responding she answered with mm-hmm okay as if shed have a problem otherwise. Well...yes that was my initial intent to apply otherwise I wouldnt bother calling back if she was the only person who worked in the office. From other reviews I see why customer service has been rated so poorly. After speaking to a current tenant, I was told to work with Anoah whos a lot more personable because on a given day Trameka is fiesty and her customer service skills lack in a major way. Outside of that the apartments are nice in person but the front office could use a customer service 101 class.
Sometimes we act on emotions and thats what I did. I had a problem with water bugs coming in but I never reported it until yesterday and once I did they got on it ASAP. ..I say this to say I apologize for giving u guys a bad rating. Thank u for getting on the job. Lesson learn never speak of emotions.
This is the worst apartment I ever lived in moled grow all over my apartment not one time did they help my family my kids was forced to moved out for a month corporate did nothing to help us but asked if we still was moving out because we wasnt going to renew our lease after what happen down to my kids clothes and furniture was all covered in mold even our bedroom kitchen shower tub and closet I have a bunch of pictures and videos to show anybody who would like to see Emily is the leasing office manager and she even told my wife that we have to move out because she already rented the apartment out for August 10th 2018 Fox 46 News even did a report on the apartment even the fox 46 reporter can you get in contact with the corporate office they did not want to reach back to the reporter or my family and ever since we made the report about the mold situation the apartment complex been giving us nasty attitudes been very very disrespectful towards me and my family all because we reported the incident
I walked into view an apartment at 5:21 PM driving to get here from work after getting off at 4 oclock through rush-hour traffic. I walked in and asked if they had an appartment for me to view and the girl laughed at me and told me no. That is completely rude and unprofessional. Will not stay here!!!!!!!!!
Im relocating to Charlotte for my job and chose this complex based on the decent ratings. Called and spoke with Trameka in the office she seemed pleasant she confirmed a unit would be available on 10/9/17 I completed the app online 8/29/17 and was approved same day price of unit $823. on 9/5/17 I called the office to inquire about the required renters insurance and at that time I was informed Im glad you called here we go whats the problem? The Tenant has decided to stay we can offer you another unit but cant offer you the same rate itll be $873. First of all when were they going to call me and tell me this?, wait til move in day to hit me with this bs? 2nd of all seems very unfair why is this now my problem being that the tenant turned in their notice that tenant should be moved there should be some kind of consequence to keep tenants from doing this and if the complex is going to move me to another unit they should honor the same rate I signed my lease for that to me is reasonable. Trameka agreed and said she needed to speak with her mgr. she called me back and said the mgr would not agree. That told me they are unreasonable and I dont care to deal with unreasonable ass people. I requested my money back Trameka says that will not be a problem, still waiting havent seen a dime refunded to me. Im sure they will try me and only refund me the $150 admin fee and tell me the $50 app fee is not refundable. That would be like them taking my money for nothing. I will be contacting the corporate office. I will keep you posted on the outcome. To the mgrs response to my previous review. Where is my full $200 refund as you stated you would be sending me. I received a check in the mail for $150 when should I be receiving the additional $50? You had me pay you $50 for the application fee and an additional $150 reservation fee then you pulled the lease from right under me cause your tenant changed their mind about moving and you think you have the right to hold onto any portion of that money I paid. I dont care where you get it from I want every cent of my money back.
I stay here they nice luv it
I have two issues with this place. First, the rent is getting outrageous. Second, a next door neighbor will play music so loud that I cant sleep.
All the money went toward the clubhouse. Apartment layout is weird and overpriced. And they don’t accept packages.
Love this community.
Very Good
I decided not to move here
Great apartments
Big
This place is the best maybe a little high in the price but it is worth paying a little more for the tranquility of the family ... I rented in 2016 I moved to another city and I came back here on time in 2018 I do not regret of this place since the staff is very friendly and if something is damaged they compose it quickly, the only thing I have to say is that before the security was more active since the outside doors were opened with a special key and in 1 year that I have been I have not composed it here yet but it is the best and close to everything ...
