Not only is the apartment complex in an excellent location, but I love the people who work at New Garden Square Apartments. I have had wonderful experiences with ALL employees during my time living here. The current employees, Teri and Robert have been helpful and SO kind to me. Over time I have come to know Teri very well and she has such a kind and loving soul. I love going into the Clubhouse just to say hello to Teri and grab a cup of coffee! It is really a lovely environment and I can tell they make an effort every day to ensure a welcoming environment no matter the day. Teri also makes sure to have the fireplace on often. It seems to be on almost every time I go in to say hello (which I love). Teri specifically is extremely helpful in a variety of areas. There are always refreshments ready for residents and dog treats for my doggy (this apartment is extremely dog friendly). In addition to being kind to me, Teri is also accommodating to my husband and I whenever we have a question or concern and makes herself available to us when we need her. Thank you Teri and Robert! We appreciate you :)
I would never recommend renting from this property ever to anyone. Their staff is very unprofessional and lacks communication skills. I rented at their 708 Summit property and can echo a lot of the same comments and issues that have been brought up here. Repairs are slow, common areas are dirty and there is no staff on site, which means that their management style is very hands off and residents are on their own to figure out what needs to be done around the building. This company has stuck me with a laughable $100 fee for cleaning fleas from my apartment, which I never have had an issue with and was only brought up by painters later on, time after I had left the property. I only found out about this when I got a letter 3 months after my move out date, tried to get in touch with a higher up after the girl on the phone basically told me I was wrong for wanting to dispute this charge, but unfortunately was never contacted and the bill was sent to collections. To this day, I refuse to pay for this fee, and would rather take a small hit on my credit than pay and let them think they were right.Do yourself a favor and look for a property that has resident interests in mind has made the effort to provide staff on site.
To echo many of the previous reviews, our experience with My Niche has been consistently disappointing. It takes months for any issues to be resolved (re: appliances break and you just have to go without them for months at a time). Management is severely incompetent not only in their abilities to resolve pressing issues, but also in basic customer service skills. They dont care and they have no problem letting you know that. It is impossible to get ahold of anyone on the phone. I have never experienced this degree of inconsideration in my many years of renting. My Niche is a great option for renters who are interested in wasting their money and getting the bare minimum for what theyre paying.
I moved to 415 Flats this past year and it has been a perfect place for myself. It is extremely affordable for any apartment in Uptown Charlotte, it has been great deal for the going rate. It also grants easy access to almost anything in walking distance in Uptown. I can get to where ever I need to go on a daily basis. The apartment as well is quite nice, has everything one would need. With the right touch it can become very comfortable. 415 has been exactly what I needed this year.
You pay for what you get. I lived at the Davy for one year.Every maintenance request I put in took multiple attempts to fix. The thermostat took about 3/4 visits, the fire alarm in the sprinkler room (constantly beeping next to my bedroom) took over a week to even get looked at. When I kept following up with management with no progress, I found they didn’t even know where the sprinkler room was...? The smoke detector took 2 visits. When I reached out about the roaches entering my apartment I didn’t even receive a response email from management. The appliances are very dated and loud. The tenant above my unit partied throughout the week until 2-3am and you could hear e v e r y t h i n g.Parking was terrible. If you have an issue with autopay - management will not help and will direct you to a third party. The list goes on... save your time, look at other places if you’re interested in moving to NoDa.
My Niche Apartments is great! I love their unique, boutique style communities and apartments here in Charlotte. If you like different, you have to check them out! Their staff is great too! Ive mostly worked with Lindsey, but I know youll be taken care of if you talk to any of the lovely people in their office! They are extremely helpful. No need to look anywhere else!
This is the best environment I have ever experienced in my 58 years of living. Right from the initial application process Karen and Sydney have made me felt appreciated. My apartments layout is so open, clean and energy efficient that I love being home. The hardwood floors have style, class and are amazing! So much closet and cabinet space and the marble counter tops and stainless steel appliances are so cool. The management office personnel is the very best!
Customer service not the best and hard to get in touch with. Manager will argue with you about parking situation when they don’t have enough.
My partner and I just moved in and we have really enjoyed the easy, efficient communication with our leasing agent, Keith - we are loving our apartment!
I have lived in The Arden for almost 2 years now and I highly recommend apartments through My Niche. Every time Ive had any kind of maintenance problem, they are here fixing the issue the next workday with no extra charge. I have had them fix everything from replacing my whole a/c unit to unclogging a giant grease clog in my kitchen sink that was 20 feet down. The people who work for My Niche are always reliable and friendly.
My Niche has beautiful apartment properties and great convenient locations! The staff is extremely personable and easy to speak with and work with. I would recommend renting apartment with this company.
Resident at the Edison for a year, and Im pleased to say that the management have been quick to respond to any and all issues. Any maintenance requests were taken care of within 48 hours. Sydney has been great at ensuring my transition in and out of the building were seamless. I would not hesitate to return to a My Niche Apartment.
Went to view apartments at the Riverside Flats in Belmont, NC. I came away with the opinion that this Corporation is solely interested in cramming as many apartments/townhouses as possible in the least amount of space. Corporate greed in action? Again, in my opinion, little or nothing was done to make the area a lovely place to live with green spaces, trees or other enhancements. Again, squeeze as many apartments as possible! The three bedroom apartments are the only ones with a balcony and GUESS WHAT, THEY LOOK ONTO THE BRICK SIDE OF ANOTHER BUILDING- NOW, ISNT THAT APPEALING! The building facing the Lake will look into the townhouses built in front of them totally blocking ANY view of the Lake. Hows that for being concerned any esthetics. ALL apartments will overlook the parking lot and the townhouses which are being built entirely around the apartment buildings. HOW MANY UNITS CAN YOU SQUEEZE INTO THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF SPACE? HOW MUCH MONEY CAN YOU MAKE FOR THE LEAST AMOUNT OF EXPENDITURE? HOW MUCH GREEN SPACE CAN WE PAVE OVER FOR THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR? GREED REIGNS!NO POOL, NO OUTDOOR GREEN SPACE OR GATHERING PLACES TO ENJOY THE LAKE. WHAT ONE GETS IS A SPACE FOR MAXIMUM DOLLARS.IT IS AN UPSCALE TENEMENT IN MY OPINION!AND, how come the Belmont planning and zoning board approved this? Hmmmmm!
I’m a vendor and deliver to them atleast twice a week. Very down to earth people and easy to talk to. Thumbs up all the way around
The MyNiche team is great to work with! I assisted with writing for a branding project and what a fun project indeed - the MN team is truly passionate about their craft and about creating the best possible experience for their residents and employees. Would definitely work with them again, and next time Im apartment hunting, I already have my eyes on The Davy in NoDa.
Great place to live because it is in the heart of a wonderful neighborhood, Plaza Midwood. Not knowing the city when I moved here, I couldnt have chosen a better area to live. I have only spoken to a few of my neighbors but everyone is pleasant. My apartment is quiet for the most part. i do wish there was a pool but cest la vie.
I am a former tenant at Plaza 25, one of the my Niche apartment complexes. The apartment itself was great and within a very short distance of all the bars, breweries and restaurants in Plaza Midwood. The management office personnel were very easy to work with and quite receptive. I ended up leaving my apartment two months before the end of the lease. My Niche was able to get a new tenant into the apartment within a couple of weeks and refunded me the difference. They also helped resolve my internet account with Time Warner. Would highly recommend.
Great communication between staff members and resident. I have been extremely happy here at Tindall.
Love my My Niche Apartment!! Warm, inviting and unique architecture. A variety of layouts. Love the rich cabinetry, floors, huge windows for amazing light! My apartment is a studio, and it is larger, than any one bedroom Ive ever rented. Gorgeous patio, awesome appliances.Love the location, close to a greenway, walking distance to BofA stadium and BB&T Ballpark.Love the staff! Sydney showed me the apartment, and set me up with the all the paperwork. Karen working with building vendors, to make sure utilities, alarms, etc are properly serving the tenants. She even set up a couple of fun events to meet the neighbors, and get to know the staff. Met Kelly and Dagny, who are very personable and conscientious.Love the online convenience of paperwork, rent payment, maintenance requests, email communications.Maintenance requests are easy to enter, and the maintenance crew is quick to respond, get things figured out and fixed up. Dryer had a tiny little wiggle noise, I wasnt even sure it was an unusual noise. Maintenance came in, said, yep, its a new dryer, and not supposed to sound like that....Fixed. Realized there was a leak in the wall, that stained the floorboard, and grout. Maintenance guy came, found a drain pipe that had been misaligned. Fixed the issue, let the wall and tile dry out for a couple days. Came back, and replaced the floorboard, good as new.If youre looking for something beyond the cookie-cutter box-shaped four-walls and a ceiling, look at My Niche Apartments. You will love yours too!
I love that I can literally step out my apartment community and grab some ice cream from DQ. #TheNookApartments
I would check out the reviews on MyNicheApartments on Yelp and the Google reviews that have been left on some of the properties that they manage, like the Edison in Charlotte. The properties themselves are often great but unfortunately management by MyNicheApartments drives good tenants away.
The apartment home itself is beautiful and couldnt complain about it at all.Amazing amenities, great locations, beautiful appliances. The staff on the other hand is a different story unfortunately. I have never had to deal with such unprofessionalism in a leasing office. The main manager picks and chooses to whom she would like to respond to. In more then one occasion now I have emailed her for multiple days in a row and asking for a simple confirmation that the email was received. It has gotten to the point where I now include my roommate on each email as well because she was not believing that I was sending it or I possibly put in the wrong email address. It is extremely sad to see when a leasing manager ignores multiple emails from you and when bringing it up to your roommate her response is thats strange I was just emailing her all yesterday. So overall its a great place to live but probably one of the worst customer service I have ever received. If you like to deal with someone who may or may not return your calls or emails then move in!
Never heard of it before
