We just moved in on 7/21. And the community is so beautiful! The staff in the office is so friendly! My neighbors are very friendly and the community is clean and peaceful. I am very excited to be a part of this community!

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING, AND THEY ARE GREAT AT IT !!! EVERYONE AT THE OFFICE AND MAINTAINCE STAFF ARE SO NICE THEY ARE ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP YOU OUT WITH ANY ISSUES. Ive lived here for about 2 years and I am so happy. The safety, amenities, and prices are awesome comparing to other ones around the area. The space inside the apartments are well distributed so the apartment looks big. So If you are looking THIS IS THE PLACE.

The worst experience we have ever had living in apartments. They say they are luxury but in reality they are basics and old. Apartments wall are very thin. We always have problems with mail packages. We have lost several orders and they don’t care about it. I can’t wait for my lease to be up.

Very friendly great customer service. When we first moved in it was very organized and helpful. We had a bit of maintenance issues but everything was taken care of in a timely manner.

Love this neighborhood and I love the area., l Love, love, love. It’s very quiet here. My apartment, as silly as it sounds, has very thick walls. Most apartments don’t and you can hear everything from your neighbors in your building. I have a 3 year old and am a Yankee so we tend to be super loud by nature.

Ive been a faithful resident since the community opened. Drexyn is the most efficient, consistent, professional, and friendly person! Shes been the familiar face in the office and the reason I consistently renew year after year. And Tori and the new maintenance team are very helpful! Thank you Tryon staff for making this experience a pleasant one!

Not many people know about these apartments, but it’s a great place to live. The amenities are beautiful, and the staff is friendly & caring! Maintenance is always prompt, and willing to help with anything if needed be. It’s quiet, but yet vibrant. There’s a dog park for your furry friends as well. A lot of professionalshouse the apartments, and the community is friendly as well. The inside of the apartments are beautiful, and up to date.

If youre looking for an apartment Id be cautious about living here. The noise pollution between apartments is awful. You can literally hear your neighbors conversations in certain parts of the apartment. If you are a big fan of community management not caring about the well being of the residents this is the place. There have been numerous cases of drug dealing reported to management and nothing ever gets done. The good residents end up leaving while the bad residents stay and keep brining the quality of life down for everyone else. Management skirts around issues and does bandaid fixes at best to get you off the phone or out of the office. The security gate along S. Tryon is broken and I was told by the former maintenance team that it was due to money. Seriously we pay a fortune to live here and you cant fix a lock? There has been stolen property issues here so that seems pretty important. Might be time to get some staff members that actually care about the residents and value that we pay so much to live here.

Tryon Park is amazing place to live if you love loud music 24/7, dog poop everywhere ang general lack of cleaning in public places like stairs. Ive managed to survive just over a year in this luxury apartment complex.

I love where we live... the staff is very helpful when you come but are very hard to get on the phone at times. The club house and property is very well maintained. We transferred from another Bell Property and they made the move very easy.. our apart is very spacious and the closets are huge.. i would recommend anyone here.

Office staff is not friendly or helpful. They do not value their residents. Opening of amenities during phases of Covid were behind.

Awesome place to live. The ladies in the office are awesome. Tori was awesome in helping me find the perfect home and displayed great professionalism. Drexyn was very nice and helpful as well. The amenities are awesome and the community is in the perfect location.

I am using a pseudonym simply b/c I love my privacy. However, I lived in this apartment community for two years and two months. It is hands down the most beautiful apartment community in the area. You will love your neighbors because the staff makes good choices in that respect. It is a professional community of residents who love the good lifestyle. Although I no longer reside here I would recommend it to the educated professional who wants to be near shopping, eateries, convenience for walking and exercise, bond-fire events on the property and an AWESOME staff.

Both Drexyn and Tori have been very helpful throughout a very stressful time. There was a problem and they solved it. The property is absolutely beautiful and definitely is a luxury apartment complex. I always recommend this apartment complex to any one who is moving to Charlotte.Thank you Drexyn and Tori!! :)

I have been here for about a week, however I fell in love with this place long before I signed the lease. Drexyn was extremely helpful from the day I walked in just looking to every moment after. It’s pretty quiet and my apartment is spacious. I haven’t had any problems. I love living here!

Spacious apartment. Very quiet. Lots of amentities amenities including a pool. Staff is responsive to issues & questions. Love the location & proximity to Rivergate, shopping, & interstates. Minor flaws, but overall a great place to live.

Staff were always kind and helpful, and maintenance prompt and friendly. The complex is aesthetically pleasing overall. Build quality is fair, but there is some significant settling of the buildings foundations already, causing tension cracks throughout 3rd floor apartments and doors requiring rehanging. Very convenient location to Rivergate shopping area and highways 160 and 49.Not related directly to the apartment, as it is a contractor providing services, but the waste pickup and management group is a nightmare to deal with for most of the residents. Id rather save the money and just take the trash out myself than deal with erratic services and passive-aggressive notes.

My husband and I have been living here for about a year. The location is perfect. Grocery stores are close, the mall is less than 10 min. away and its easy access to both I-77 and 485. The only thing I do hate is parking. We would have to park 2 buildings away to find an empty slot. We occasionally have neighbors that are kinda loud with music but thats expected with any apartment complex anyone moves into. The pool is great and I love how the fireplace is right next to the pool. Trash pick up is already included in the monthly rent, this is such a convenient! I would definitely recommend this complex.

Worst apartment community in the area. My dog was bit by a very aggressive dog and suffered a severe puncture wound to the cheek. Nothing was done by the office. My Wife left a message for the office and our call was not returned, not even a call to see if my dog was ok. The dog was part pit bull and supposedly the community bans pit bulls even though the community is crawling with pit bulls. Parents of the dog did not seem to care that my dog was bit and also that they couldnt control their dog. My Wife and I moved out of the community and are beyond excited to no longer be residents at Tryon Park at Rivergate. Only plus of the community is the maintenance staff is very nice. Hopefully it turns around so the current residents dont suffer like my Wife, dog and I did.

I love my new place. It is a clean friendly community. The living is great as well.

Apartment walls are very thin. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing/saying. Loud neighbors. Leasing office staff is very nice but seem unable to stop certain tenants from partying at all hours of the night. Cant wait to move out.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Its overpriced and there have been multiple car break-ins. They do not have assigned parking. You will hear everything your neighbor is doing. They will keep your security deposit upon moving out for wear and tear on cheap carpet. Do not waste your money here. Its not worth it!!!

The apartment complex itself is nice. But had a bad experience here with the neighbors. We had new neighbors move in one day. And that same night they blasted their music so loud you could feel it vibrate in your chest and the walls shaking. A lot of people complained. It seemed to work then no more than a few days later on Thanksgiving they did it again for several hours. Someone knocked on their door and they would not answer and did not turn down music. Two of our neighbors started leaving trash in front of their apartment. One time they left it for a month. Had bugs in apartment. Dog crap everywhere. And heard about what just happened with the young lady who was getting married that lived there. I would not recommend the complex. They lost some good maintenance people as well...........That area is OK to live but the rent that they charged was to high. Why you charging more for the third level that should be the cheapest level to pay for. Just because the sealing is high. Oh and the guy who came to his door half naked one day for no apparent reason.

I have been trying to get in contact with the leasing office for weeks now. Every time I visit the leasing office there is a time sign up saying Will return in 1 hour, so Ive tried to call and that experience is terrible too. Press One to hear about Tryon Park at Rivergate leads you no where and operator will say Sorry I didnt get that. Then Press 5 to leave a message for our staff also leads no where. I really thought the community looked nice but Ive given up on trying to lease there. In order to provide outstanding service you have to start from the beginning. If youre not looking for new residents, congrats! I wont stay there.

I have had trouble with my AC/Heating unit since I moved in. When its cold out, the unit would blow cool air. When its hot out it blows luke warm air. This has been going on since I moved. The problem always gets fixed but its never truly remedied. It sucks always having to worry about whether or not your AC/Heating unit will be functioning properly everyday when you get off. Staff is good about quickly fixing it but theres clearly a bigger issue that requires more than these patch jobs. Seems about at least once a month I have to submit a maintenance request.To add insult to injury, I got a renewal notice with increased rental rate. Who would pay MORE for something that hasnt been up to par? Probably wont renew...stay away from unit 5-303!

Beautiful apartment except it is very difficult to reach the front desk which is frustrating. They should really look into improving this or have more staff on to accommodate their tenants.

The absolute WORST!! Do not stay here! I honestly wish I could give Tryon Park at Rivergate ZERO stars.- The front office staff will over promise and under deliver EVERY TIME, good luck even getting any help with anything after youve signed your lease.- The entire property is littered with dog feces- The gas grills are nice, but have literally only had gas in them for about a month over the past 7 months.- The online rent portal has not worked for the past two months (June & July)- The apartments have extremely thin walls were built with very low quality materials.My wife and I are counting down the days until our lease ends!

Quiet and well priced for the amenities provided..

This is a nice complex and the maintenance staff is good, and I am not sure of the building that the other reviewers wrote about, but the building that I am in is horrible: The neighbors in this building are so disrespectful-they have been very noisy and the walls are thin: There is always the sound of neighbors stomping and sounds of them hitting the walls: There is always the running and stomping past your front door and neighbors always slamming their front doors: And this noise is not just from one apartment in the building, but from a few of them: cant wait to move away from here.

The place has gone downhill fairly quickly in the last 2 years. There is tons of foot traffic that cuts through the apartment complex, bringing less than desirable characters. The staff do nothing to stop this or control the groups of sketchy people hanging around the property. I was also told by the regional manager upon breaking my lease that if I did not pay the fee (and chose to pay until someone else rented my apartment) they would do their best to not market the open apartment because we are in the money making business and it makes more sense to not list it when others are also available.

Pros - The complex is beautiful, and is convenient to everything.Cons - The walls are thin, and the rent is too high.

I live across the street from this place and its residents have turned the area into a garbage dump. They toss trash all around the place, the side walks, and even the rear of the place is acres of trash behind the fence.

Ive lived at tryon park at rivergate since August of 2016 and its April 2017 and I cant wait for my lease to be up. Definitely not worth the price I pay. The whole property is supposed to be non smoking and people smoke all the time. I live near the car detailing center and have been woken up at all hours of the night by people blaring music cleaning their cars. Its a constant battle with the people who pick up trash. Beautiful clubhouse area but its not allowed to be utilized by guest for birthday parties or anything thats not related to a community event. My baby shower is in June and I am having to pay to have it somewhere else instead of inviting my guests to enjoy my home and clubhouse. Staff are nice but not much they can do about noise and other problems. The only TV AND INTERNET provider is att and direct and in my appartment I have all the plugins and outlets on the opposite side of where the tv is supposed to go and my service is constantly going out and att has had to come out 10 times to fix different issues. There is no kitchen space so if you like to cook this is definitely not the place for you. Theres so much more! Save your money dont get stuck in a lease like I did and have such a miserable experience. Its a beautiful property and has great amenities but definitely not worth the price . the traffic to 485 and 77 is horrible trying to get home from work or to class in the am. Updated 7/12/17 THEN HAWTHORN was bought out by first communitys and its now a lot of trouble to pay rent online and the new owners barged in my apartment after I had told the staff nobody was to enter without calling first I was in bed after being released from the hospital and was woken up to a man walking into my apartment at 9am my question is what would they have done had I been out of town or had a protective dog this is the worst place Ive ever lived I would never recommend this place !! It gets worse everyday. The grills were off for weeks (part of the reason I moved here were the amenities) dog park is filled with poop not maintained well

I have lived in these apartments for almost 3 years and the quality I initially experienced has deteriorated rapidly. The shoddy construction leads to issues with noise due to lack of insulation between apartments, I also have cracks in my ceiling that have been an issue since move in inspection - still there and growing. The cheap paint and carpet have also began to show their age. The carpet is degrading and causes an inordinate amount of dust- the wall paint has also worn so that any contact for instance hanging a picture shows scrub marks. The property is littered with dog feces which is due to the irresponsibility of pet owners but is a health hazard to my pet and annoying. They also have a Private Water company and my bill consistently is more for water sewer than my electric - which for one person seems ridiculously high. The trash pickup results in leakage throughout breezeways is gross,smells and has never been power washed even though we pay 20 per month for the service.I look forward to the end of my lease.
