Overall, we are satisfied with this community. The grounds are attractive and there are some good amenities. Note there are 2 types of apartments. In the standard apartment appliances, etc are somewhat dated but everything in working order. I would recommend a tour prior to leasing if possible as this community is generally full. The leasing team is very friendly and helpful in answering questions and helping you get settled.

My Husband and I, made Hawthorne at the Greene our first home and we loved it! Great service at all times, the maintenance crew was awesome and always fixed our problems! Nick helped us in the very beginning tour the place and helped us with understanding all the details of renting an apartment. It was always quiet around our apartment and very rarely had an issue with parking near our building. When we first moved in, our apartment was well painted and very clean. We wouldnt have wanted a better place for our first year of marriage.

I enjoy living here. The office staff is very friendly. The maintenance team has always been very quick. They usually respond within a day of my putting in a request. The office staff makes you feel like they truly care about you instead of just given you policy driven answers to legitimate concerns. The community is always clean every day and the landscapers makes this community look like a million bucks! I’m always proud to live here when I drive into this community. It’s also peaceful here.

I only have good things to say about my experiences from living for the past two years at Hawthorne at the Greene. The entire staff, management, office and maintenance have always been prompt, attentive and helpful with my needs and requests regardless of the issue I might have. The property is well maintained, beautiful and has the appearance of a welcoming home outside of a busy city. So glad I made the choice to move here!

If I could give zero or even negative stars I would. Cockroaches everywhere. Trash everywhere. Dumper overflowing with trash and surrounding neighborhoods dumping furniture. Off leash dogs. Dog waste everywhere. Loud residents. Rude front office staff. No notice before maintenance enters your apartment. No parking. And those are just the things I can think of off the top of my head. I decided to break lease early because I couldnt take it anymore. I did things the way I was supposed to so Im paying the insane fees just to be done with this awful apartment.If you dont scrub the bathrooms almost daily mold grows in the toilets and sinks. The provided dishwasher is horrible. The washing machines leave my clothes stinking. I ended up having to wash clothes at a laundromat it got so bad.It was clear that the front office either picked favorite residents or knew they wouldnt follow the rules and didnt make them follow said rules. Piles upon piles of trash would accumulate for weeks and nothing would be done. Meanwhile they would issue noise complants against myself when I wasnt home that night as I was out of town. You are only allowed one parking pass per resident up to two residents. Not that that stopped people from parking without parking passes or double parking. It wasnt uncommon for me to not find parking in the whole complex. Visitors have to park in the visitors lot, but there were never spots there either. Cars would sit for months in the visitors lot, obviously resident cars without parking passes. If you need something, forget it. The number of times I called and left messages repeatedly and never got a response is outrageous. Dont waste your time here. Its the worst apartment Ive ever had.I have nothing but negative things to say about this place. Absolutely terrible.

I have lived here for along time and this review is way over due. This is my home. It sometimes feels like I have my own personal pool, gym, and my own park. The staff has always been curtious and professional. My family isnt moving anytime soon. We love Hawthorne at the Greene!

This has been the absolute worst place to rent at. If you love having your aggressive dog off leash to terrorize other tenants and their pets, or you want all your neighbors to hear you beat your wife. This is the place for you. We make weekly calls to the front office and now the cops. Cant wait to escape this apartment.Update: I finally got the best news I could receive from this apartment. After many long months of suffering with unruly neighbors, dogs, and roaches invading my apartment whenever a neighbor moved I can finally say I get to move out. Breaking lease has been a relief for me and I encourage anyone who get the opportunity to escape the prison of Hawthorne at the Greene do so immediately! Goodbye Hawthorne.

I enjoyed this little spot on the outskirts of Charlotte. The staff was courteous and kind. The only thing that stopped me from renting here was I had to go out of town and they were sold out when I got back.

He assured me when I ask about something getting fixed that he will get right on it and he did. Liz & Nick goes the extra mile to ensure that I’m financially comfortable living here. I am still here and still beyond happy. Nick and Liz are an amazing team in the office and are always happy to answer any questions or assist with anything that I have. Maintenance is always polite and very hard-working. I have no interest living anywhere else at this time. Hawthorne at the Greene is a wonderful place where you feel welcomed and safe. Since day one with a smooth moving process, staff makes it easier with their kind and professional help.Excellent staff and service. Staff is professional, friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. Maintenance is always timely.It has a marvelous clubhouse with billiards, Cyber Cafe with printing and Wi-Fi, Starbucks Coffee Bar and a Resort- style swimming pool, parking space for you and your visitors. In case you need more space it offers additional storage and garage.It is pet friendly and has Bark Park with agility equipment.The complex is one of the best in the area. A convenient location near I-485 and I-85 that connect you with any place you need to go.I love the place and the staff.Maria Polonia

I moved to Charlotte after relocating from Florida. Prior to moving, I looked online and decided to visit this complex, and I immediately loved it. During my transition from FL to NC, Liz was amazing, staying on top of things and making sure everything was perfect the night I arrived! Everyone is always pleasant when entering the office and the maintenance staff is professional and hardworking.I lived there a little over a year, and the only reason I moved is because I purchased a house. Spencer made this transition easy, with me being unsure of the exact date my home would finished being built. This is a great community, and I would recommend it to anyone!

This review is LONG overdue. My family and I moved into this community summer of 2019. We were hopeless after a week of apartment hunting and dead ends. When we arrived, we were met with Nicks kindness, genuine concern and gentle persistence. He assured us that this would be the best fit for us. And he was right! The complex is a bit secluded allowing a sense of privacy without be too far away from anything. The apartments are bright, airy and feel like home. After the showing, Nick went the extra mile to ensure that we would be financially comfortable and got us moved in expeditiously. Over a year later and an apartment transfer courtesy of financial growth, we are still here and still beyond happy to be. Nick and Liz are an amazing team in the office and are always happy to answer any questions or assist us in any way. Maintenance is also always polite and very hard-working. Great place to live very friendly staff, very kid friendly

We have been very happy here for 16 months and have just renewed our lease for another year. The office staff has always been extremely helpful and the maintenance people are the best. The landscapers keep the grounds immaculate all year long. We are very happy we found this quiet, clean centrally located complex. Liz and Dan are the best!

My wife and I just made our 3rd rent payment to Hawthorne at the Greene. In this COVID-19 era, the management here has been great. Upon move-in, we brought two concerns to Spencer (mgr) who resolved them the following day. This was much faster than when we were living in a house and tried to get contractors to our door. We cant wait for stay-at-home orders to be lifted so that we can enjoy the weight room, game room and lounge. This facility is one that I definitely would recommend to family and friends who might be looking for an apartment.

Topic: Went out to run an errand and realized I had a flat tireThis was absolutely the most generous thing Andy could have done. As I’m looking for my spare and jack to change my flat tire I had neither in my car nor did I have AAA. He happened to be passing by and I asked if he had a jack to change a tire. Without hesitation he went to grab his personal belongings to assist and took it upon himself to take off my tire. I’m forever grateful! He has Always Been a class act As allThe staff are at Hawthorne ! Maintenance at Hawthorne is amazing! This is not the first time they have superseded expectation. Thanks again Andy!

My “luxury apartment“ in Charlotte, NC the day I moved in, AKA Mint Hill off Albemarle Rd. / Hwy 51. Stains on the wall, hair in the drains, dirty microwave, dirty vents, dirty commands, etc. Bump the oven the light comes on, the washer only runs hot water, The people above us turn over the bed and make noise consistently, usually between 2:30am and 5:30am, but anytime. Car has been towed. Doesn’t matter that we are in the middle of a pandemic and people are struggling. Tag just got stolen. Attempted to speak with staff multiple times but did not fulfill requests adequately. I don’t recommend this place.

Very pet friendly neighborhood

I really have been enjoying my experience living here almost 6 months, but what really makes me unsure about renewing my lease is the fact that we have people that live off the pool area where the main grills are that act like there in control of the whole area and can say and report anyone for no reason at all, when I don’t have a problem following rules from authority. I pay to stay here as well and should feel comfortable enough to bring my family around on a special occasion to enjoy the day with no problem. When the same people are up there mostly everyday all the time and I rarely come out just because I don’t like bad vibes, it’s sad really but I’ll keep you updated...

Weve lived here for two years, and this is honestly the first apartment Ive truly loved. The management team is incredible, and they seriously do make you feel welcomed by going out of their way to add special touches. From moving in, to our birthdays, to simply stopping by to get mail (which I did ALL the time, and they were so friendly and organized), its personalized and you can tell that they do care about their tenants. I also really appreciated the planned maintenance we received for upkeep. Upon adopting a large dog that is insanely hyper, weve decided that a house would be a better option for him to run and play as much as he can, but thats the only reason we are leaving. Its been wonderful, and we will truly miss the staff. Thanks so much!

I love this apartment complex. I especially love the front office. Erica has been wonderful in helping transition from a large home to a small apartment. Tonya open door policy makes the office a welcoming environment for residents. I initially moved in and was in the back of the property and now live near the pool. I must say that if you want a quiet serene environment the back of the property is for you while moving to the front near the pool gave me what I needed which is a chance to meet lots of people. As a new person to Charlotte with only a few family members here I did not have the base of friends I was use too. Location in the various apartments on the complex provides you the opportunity to get and be comfortable. I have a pet so I love being able to have my tiny child with me. Oh and I cant forget the maintenance department Anthony and his three person crew are fantastic. They are quick courteous.. Anthony is very good at prioritizing his staff to ensure that important jobs get done first like air conditioning and water supply. I will live here as long as I can. I do worry that the market will price me out of my home here at Hawthorne at the Green.

Ive lived here for two years going on more, and I have to say its been a great experience. The office staff is lovely, especially Earica. Shes one of those rare individuals you find who just genuinely loves people. She always greets me with a heart-felt smile and is always looking to help. I look forward to chatting with her on the rare occasions I need assistance - rare because things run pretty smoothly here. The staff really goes out of their way to make things homey. There are a ton of community events, and Im always sorry I dont get to attend more of them with my crazy schedule.The grounds are always clean and well-maintained. The maintenance staff are friendly and prompt. The location is great if you want to be close to the city but need to escape from the noise and crowds. The only downside I can think of is that if you come home late at night its very difficult to find a parking spot. That being said, they know its an issue and allow people to park along curbs as long as the car is moved by 9 am. The arrangement seems to work just fine.

Beautiful Apartment homes. We thoroughly enjoy living here. The Apartment Managers, Tonya, Earica, and Kevin are all amazing and go out of their way for you! They know you by a first name basis, and genuinely care about their tenants! The grounds are beautiful, well kept, and the grills are always stocked with propane. We have never used the pool (we find pools in general to be gross) but it looks stunning. The maintenance gentlemen are also wonderful, and any issues, (which are rare) are resolved with the utmost priority. They often have monthly fun and exciting tenant parties (with food and drink provided), which if youre new to Charlotte, is a great way to meet people! Its a great location too, close to 485, but further enough away that you arent fighting/hearing traffic. Id highly recommend living here.

My fiancee rented a one bedroom apartment for roughly 4 months. From the first day, the apartment was very, I mean very, loud. In fact, it was so loud that there were numerous nights she could only get a couple hours of sleep. After I stayed there, on night, I decided not to stay again due to the noise. It was simply too noisy to get any quality sleep (people stomping around, loud music, people yelling, etc). Parking is also a major problem. At night and on the weekends, there are literally cars everywhere! There was also an issue with the fire alarms being pulled by people (presumably kids) at the complex.I respectfully asked that the apartment complex release her from the apartment lease. Although we offered to give 30 days notice, they said we have a legal contract. From my perspective, that tells you what you need to know. While they could easily rent the apartment to someone else within the notice period, they still chose not to. Needless to say, I would never, ever recommend anyone stay at this facility (unless you 1) dont like sleep, 2) enjoy noise, 3) crave looking for parking spaces and 4) cant wait for the next fire alarm)!

The apartment is clean and I never have any problems here. The neighbors are very nice. But if you plan on having company and your not close to the visitors parking you’re screwed. The visitors parking is ridiculously located in one area that is very far from some of the apartment buildings. Ridiculously. Very dangerous for a woman or a woman with a child to have to walk that far at night. And they will tow.

My experience at Hawthorne at the green was very pleasant today. Earica was very nice had amazing customer service. As see showed me the community she greeted all residents we by passed. Shes very detailed and professional. Based upon the the experience I had today I would highly recommend this community. Cant wait to call hawthorn home.

This was my first experience in apt living in many years moving from a home. The community and staff made my experience so comfortable that I stayed for 3 1/2 years. Tonya the property manager along with the amazing leasing staff who were all so friendly and approachable made me feel valued. Maintenance staff were friendly and attentive, especially Jairo who would even offer to assist with taking my trash out when we crossed paths. The were many community functions that gave you the opportunity to socialize with your neighbors. All in all it was a great place to stay and I would recommend this community to anyone who had a need for a temporary residence.

Today my day was made with the help of Erica at the main office. I will be moving to Charlotte at the end of the month and she took the time to answer every question I had and was very patient with me. She is a very upbeat person and with people like this in a community it will make this move much easier!! Thanks again!!

We’ve lived here for 7 months now and it’s been great! I’m guessing other people have had extremely loud neighbors—we can hear cabinet doors close, but when you live under someone, it’s inevitable. It’s very mute, though, at least for us.The dog parks are great! However, this is also the downfall (for us) living here. Other dog owners do not clean up after their dogs and it can be really gross and makes me worry about parasites.Cars have been broken into while we’ve lived here. Ours never has, but we don’t really leave anything in our cars.We had a silverfish or cockroach (we couldn’t tell what it was—it was 3 AM and it was very fast, so my husband squished it and flushed it). We panicked and emailed the assistant manager in regards to it. The next day, they came and sprayed our bathroom for bugs. We have had 0 issues since. Thank you again, Hawthorne!Overall, it’s not a bad place to live. Our neighbors have been super nice and our dog has made several dog-friends.If I come across any issues while moving out, I will update my review. But for now, it’s been great.

For it being my first time moving & living away from home, the team here at Hawthorne has been over the top with making sure my residence here has been awesome. I never feel hesitant to call with any questions or concerns, they are always happy to help. The staff here really makes you feel at home. Especially my girl Earica, she is the best !! So sweet & helpful, she alone is half the reason I love it here so much !! I am extending my lease in a couple months !! (:

My stay here has been great! ... I honestly wish I didnt have to leave. I have nothing but good things to say! ... The office staff treats you like family and greet you by first name when entering the front office ... MX requests has always been completed same day without needing return visits. I never have any issues when trying to contact the staff via phone or email. Neighbors are friendly ... grounds are always kept up ... diverse quiet community. I couldnt ask for anything more in a apartment. From beginning to end great experience. Keep up the great work Hawthorne !!!!

The staff at Hawthorne at the Greene make living here a pleasure. There is the pool, outdoor fireplace, fitness center, and clubhouse, which all are well kept and fun to use, but the office staff and maintenance crew make the real difference. They amaze me in what they accomplish everyday, while remembering our names to boot. We have loved living here for the past two years and will sign another lease again.

Great place to stay if you want your car window smashed in the middle of the night and have everything stolen, this happens here ALL the time. Management doesnt care, they just keep sending a letter to everyone saying not to keep anything in your car.Now the office requires everyone to have a parking sticker or they WILL tow your car.Having a friend or family member visit? They have to park on the OTHER SIDE of the apartment complex in the visitor section.. behind the garages. Perfect place to have your car broken into..or get mugged on the long walk to your car.Sleeping is impossible. The walls are so thin you can literally hear every step the person above you makes. Sounds like they are throwing bowling balls at each other and washing bricks instead of clothes.Other than that its a great place!

The staff members are very attentive and whenever I need help someone is available. On one occasion, the maintenance guys helped me with boxes without hesitation. The apartments are roomy and ammenities are great!

Very friendly staff

The apartments seemed nice until I moved in and noticed the cheap grade of construction. The walls are very thin and there is no sound proofing. You can hear EVERYTHING from a cabinet door closing to your neighbors evening activities. I would not consider the property the be luxury apartments.

Its a very nice looking complex on the outside but that is deceptive. The ceilings and walls are made of some material that is VERY poor at drowning out sound. Which is very stressful. I can actually hear my upstairs neighbors flick the light switch on in one of their rooms if Im quietly trying to read or something. Which means if the neighbors have kids and they are running around, it sounds like a parade is taking place above me and actually shakes the furniture in my apartment. Or if they have a dog, youll hear all it does. I can hear my neighbors talking, walking, the works. If you are looking for a quiet place to live then I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

As frustrating as it is listening to my neighbors EVERY move, the kids who smoke weed behind my apartment/on the stairs is worse. No one has ANY control over the kids who live here/in the neighborhood behind the complex. They smash bottles, take trash out of the dumpster, and do drugs. Im now finding little baggies with white powder lying around. I pay way to much to live in these conditions. I highly recommend NOT moving in here. I will not be renewing my lease.

I had been eyeing this beautiful complex for some time and got an awesome grand tour from Ms. Earica who was so helpful and went above and beyond to answer all of my questions in an attempt to help my friend planning an upcoming move to Charlotte. I love this complex and all of its amenities!!!

Vandalism of properties happened every month

Living in at Hawthorne at the Greene was an absolute nightmare. Thin walls allow for little privacy, the whole building shakes if a door is slammed, and the front office is extremely unorganized. Kids constantly smoking pot on the stairways, rodent infestations, and a front office that tows its own residents. Stay far away from this place, it is not a nice place to live.

The apartments themselves are actually very nice...thats about it. From my personal experience from living here for almost one year is that management obviously doesnt sreen the tenants very well and it is just getting worse. It is obvious that the only stairwells they maintain are the ones leading to the apartments that they show to future residents. I counted 11 Newport cigarette butts leading up the stairs to my apartment today...and that was just the first flight of stairs...had 3 more flights to go before I was safely in my apartment and I encountered the mass of hair at the final landing. After shaking my head in disgust for a minute I kinda laughed beause it reminded me of the Southpark episode when Cartman got pubes...anyway...if you can stand the fact that fire extinguishers are stolen and not replaced for going on I think 3 months now, doors are vandalized, graffiti on the stairwells, fights and skanky MTV episodes by the pool...and ohhhh yeah...pot smokers in the stairwells and by the pool fireplace, then this place is for you... Welome to the hood.
