Iam staying in Ashley Court Apartments for the last 6 years. last month they fixed the air conditioner issue and from that day I see drastic usage of power and the July power bill shows as $400 approx., now the projection for the Aug month is showing as $500. i raised a complaint with the leasing office, opened a maintenance ticket, sent 3 follow up emails and requested in person to fix the issue. the answer what i got is this is not our high priority. The consumption of the power in my unit is increasing day by day. i see very poor response from the management. inspite of multiple escalations still no one even stepped in to check why this is happening.

So far so good! I really just want to give Riandha the recognition she deserves. She made the application and move-in process a BREEZE. Her communication was superb and customer service is amazing. She completely set the tone for my experience so far. My apartment during move-in was in great condition. Im glad I gave this complex a chance!

The gentleman who fixed our repairs was efficient, fast, polite, and very professional. He we was in and out and got everything done.

I like the apartment on the inside. Very pleased with that part and give the inside 4 stars. One thing i dont like about the inside is there are not enough windows. There is a sunroom with windows, but there are no windows in the living room, dining room, or kitchen. So you cant depend on the sun to light up your home during the day. You will definitely have to turn on lights in the living room, even in the daytime because the lack of sunlight will have the room kind of dark. Other than that i really do like the inside of the apartment.The amenities are not okay. The pool is always closed for days at a time. The computer and printer room definitely needs an upgrade. The printer is small and fit for a family of four, but not for a full apartment complex. The gym is meh and I have definitely seen better. For the price, which is OVER $1400 a month, the amenities should be amazing. My lease says my rent is $1300, but after the water bill and other fees, i pay more than $1400 every month. I wouldnt recommend staying here because of what they are offering for the price.Thank you

This is a beautiful, well kept Apartment Complex where I feel safe and secure. Ample parking is available, neighbors are very polite and the staff are excellent. The staff are also very informative, continuing to improve the property on an ongoing basis. Maintenance is great. Every time I have called maintenance they are usually here within 24 hours. Restaurants and shopping are very convenient and within close proximity. I love my apartment, it is very spacious, and the half bath and double walk in closets are an extra plus in a 1 bedroom. Thanks Ashley Court for the beautiful design!

They did cheat me when I vacated the house. I was a resident of this apartment for 6 years and saw three different management companies during this time. As per my leasing documents, I paid a security deposit when I moved in. During moving out they found some issues in the apartment(like marks on a wall done by 2 year old) etc. etc. and charged for it. When asked for security deposit they said they, it was some waived fees and I have no security deposit on file. The lady I talked to when leasing clearly told me it is a security deposit and now they are completely denying it. So my sincere advice is, if you leasing please make sure you have some extra documentation that clearly specifies that you have paid security deposit. But I know even with that they will cheat you but you can do your duty at least. I have lost my security deposit and now i have pay extra on top of that. These guys are cheaters. Now review about the apartment. I did like the apartment when i moved in 2013. It had a black appliance and granite in kitchen and bathrooms which made it stand out in competition. But out nightmare started on the first day itself. 1. Thin Walls(No good insulation): Due to thin walls, you can hear what people speak in the walkway or on the street from your master bedroom. It was fine during weekdays but on weekends we had lot of issues since people come back home late and while they climb stairs I just feels like they are walking in your room. And we had to face cops twice because the neighbor downstairs called 911 on us because we were walking. To clarify, cops did inspect our house and found no one except me and my wife. 2. Dirty walkways: I saw some sort of trash every day in the walkway. But they do full pressure washing every year. 3. Pool is closed for most of the time during the year except it opens in march and is intermittently closed due to maintenance and then it closed again in May. So good luck if you can use it during that time.And very recently, we did receive an email about some people knocking on the door and running away. And it did happened to us couple of time. So save your self some time and look for some other apartments.

I have lived at Ashley Court for over five years and not because I have to but because I adore apartment, I feel safe, the management staff are outstanding and, here is a place I’m proud to call home. Anything that I haven’t been particularly happy with, I.e. the cleanliness of the common areas in my building, have been addressed almost immediately!I thank the staff for ALWAYS caring enough to see that I am pleased. May God continue to bless and keep you all!

They do not pick up the phone or returning calls

They never answer the phone, also evaluate your apartment after you move in they’re not big on laying New Carpet & They use flat paint on the walls...

Mrs. Carolyn the apartment manager has been great from start to finish.My family came for a tour and fell in love with the complex and apartment we toured. We are actually living in the apartment we toured how cool is that.I would recommend anyone to stay at Ashley Court. The apartments are spacious, its a quiet complex and the amenities are great.

Constantly frustrated as I work late nights. This being the case when new tenants move into the 8510 building I again get forced to park at a totally different building basically across the street or somewhere else. Theres is No assigned parking. However these are 2-3 car families all parked side by side. And one apt. has several families in it so they have 4 cars! Its just inconsiderate if nothing else!!!! When my friends/family visits I instruct them to park furthest from the building as theyre just visiting. Oh my and the weekends!!!! So if youre okay with paying high rent with no where to park this place is for you! Everything else is okay....

This is definitely a great community to call home.When you think of an apartment community, you tend to think of an uncontrolled common living space. I completely feel differently about this location. Everyone is friendly and the neighbors all look out for each other. Children are well disciplined. In my old community my car got keyed a couple of times bt kids that were visiting my neighbors. Its very peaceful here no fights, very quiet!

Problem resolved within 24 hours of request.

When the light in my breezeway went out, I put in a maintenance request and it was taken care of within a few hours. I was well pleased.

The office staff, maintenance, and the grounds keeper are impeccable. I would recommend Ashley Court to anybody and everybody. When maintenance came around to change my AC Filter, he was very friendly and courteous.

Great customer service and maintenance on a timely manner

I currently stay here. I have a one bedroom which is very spacious. I love the fact that the shower and tub are separated. It comes in handy on self-care Sundays. When I have issues with my apartment it is handled in a timely manner. I had electrical issues my first few weeks here and it was handled. My garbage disposal broke on Memorial day and I went to the office since it was easier then filing out the form on my phone. I left to get food with friends and when I came back it was fixed! I was literally gone for 30 minutes.There is enough parking near my building so I dont have to rush home during the evening.My neighbor across the hall is hell though. She doesnt follow the trash times, which was embarrassing one day when I had guest come over and she had 3 trash bags sitting outside her door on a Saturday afternoon. In addition, she likes to hide trash under the staircase until its close to trash time. One time the bag leaked and trash juice was basically running to my first door.The pool is closed for basically the second summer in a row. Last summer it opened like early August to get it re-tiled. This time it was open for two weeks then closed due to a tiny hole with sharp edges. It didnt bother me because the two weeks it was open it was a party every day at that damn pool and overcrowded after 5.I would recommend this place to anyone but sadly I am leaving. Rent is getting too high for this complex and the ones in the area as well.

I went to tour the property for someone else and it was late that evening. Lavon Thomas was welcoming and very thorough. He did not rush the process eventhough it was getting late. It is a very well kept property with great amenities. Now I will consider this place for my next move.

Very Helpful! I have lived here for 4 years. The pool is nice!! If you get a package delivered to the office, then the office sends you an email. Awesome!

My husband and I have lived here for 2 years we truly like the service that has been provided I would like to take the time to personally thank Tammy that works in the office for her outstanding service I am deaf and she always always take the time to make sure I clearly understand may it be her having to write down at times what she saying she does that Tammy has been a breath of fresh air and I thank you for having such a wonderful asset in your company so to Tammy I salute you she is a person that has shown love and great concerns about whatever needs weve had I do like the area it being very clean well-kept quiet maintenance always always on point with taking care of your request I dont have a complaint I would like to address perhaps the need of the better care taking of the computer area on several occasions theres no paper for the printer unable to get online copier broke and needs better heating system in there.

Living at Ashley Court Apartments has been nothing short of a great experience. I was attracted to the apartment based on the granite features, garden tub and shower, and great price. I caught an amazing deal when I was in need of a place to live. The staff is always informative and friendly, its super easy to get your packages, and the community is quiet. You can always count on your trash being taken out on schedule, parking is decent and the maintenance workers are friendly and time efficient. Overall, this is a lovely place to stay.

I writing this review because Im so upset with this place. I face an issue with the AC every summer and I asked for maintenance many times but they did nothing with it at all!! .. I went to the office and complained about the issue but they did nothing just take the weather condition as an excuse. I pay almost $150 for the power bill for a one bedroom apt. The AC is running all day long without cutting off. It does not cool the apartment just running all the day. I asked the office for a portable AC at least I can feel cool in my apartment but they rejected me. Ive been here for almost 3 years facing this issue every damn summer and all what they do is taking the weather as an excuse. No, it not the weather. Its because your place it getting old and the AC unites are becoming useless!! Yeah one more thing, you guys do not deserve that price rent for a place that has useless AC.

Very nice apartments, and very spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Great place if youre in college, or freshly out of college because of it being in the University Area. Very nice staff and helpful if you need them. They are very quick with maintenance orders which is a first for me because my last apartment was not. For instance, our microwave stopped working and me and my roommate made a work order that night, the next day they came to fix it but it was not fixable so they left a note saying they had to get us a new one. We were ready to be without a microwave for a week or more, but literally that same night I came home to a microwave. Excellent service!

Its a nice, quiet and spacious apartment. The staff here are friendly. Having valet trash is a good thing when compared to other apartments in the same area. Interior is good with more lighting, separate shower and tub in the bathroom, bigger living room and a sun room. Overall, its a nice place to live.

From the moment we walked into the office @ Ashley Court we knew this was going to be our home. We were greeted with a smile and handshake by Latasha. She made the entry process into our new home easy, explaining everything and answered all our questions. In a short time we were laughing and knew we had made the right decision to live here. The complex grounds are well manicured and very clean. Our Apt. was exactly what we wanted. The amenities are really nice too. Of all the places we had been looking at for at least a month, Ashley Court is the cleanest, most updated, and QUIETEST place of them all!! We are coming from living in our own home for 30+ years and we’re very unsure of the noise level from other apts. around us. That is not an issue at all! We hardly know that anyone is above us or beside us! It’s very refreshing that people here value their privacy and others around them. Thank you Ashley Court for making our move so easy!!

Good looking apartments with reasonable rents. There is less traffic as they are located at the dead end of a road. Many shops are located within a few minutes drive from the apartments.Gym, Swimming pool, Play area, Carwash area etc. were well maintained.Staff was friendly and addressed the service requests quickly.

I never give bad reviews but this one is warranted and needs to be known by the public.I have had constant problems with this property and management. I would advise to STAY AWAY! On three separate occasions I have been financially screwed by this property. One: they released my garage while I was paying for it and “lost” over 5k of my personal belongings. Their insurance adjuster is unreachable after all requested documentation was provided, not to mention Ashley Court Apartments tried to file a claim under my renters insurance as if their clerical error was my fault.Two: they recently switched management companies and their rent auto payment system was down during the rent due window and they incurred multiple late payment and NSF charges on my account when the payment drafted in full on time. They were unwilling to waive the charges after I provided bank documentation proving my case and their system error.Third and final was during move out, the property management did not get my email of not renewing my lease which was sent prior to the 60 required days. Therefore they charged MTM rent fees 1.4k to my account and drafted the payment when rent was for a 6 day window. Not to forget they charged my account in advance for the actual rent due, therefore over 1.7k was paid for 6 days of actual rent due. Now I can’t receive my $1,200.00 back until 30+ days? Property management is always unavailable to speak on the phone and regional contact information was not provided due to the only number “is a personal contact.” Amenities are always under maintained, grill never has gas and pool has had permit issues two years going which delayed the pool opening until after July 4th and they promptly close it on Labor Day. This is NC it’s still 90+ degrees until November. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY! There are better options in the area.

Great Place! I have lived here for the past 3 years and have enjoyed my time here. Started renting as a student 2 years while going to UNCC and chose to stay here post graduation. Staff is great and location is perfect. I now work uptown and the access to 85 is convenient. Highly recommended.

I love this community. The office staff really takes care of you. Maintenance does an excellent job with work orders. everyone is always so warm and friendly when I go into the office. I will live here until I buy a home!

My roommate and I moved in on the 20th and so far it has been amazing! For about a month prior to our move-in, the entire leasing staff was very kind to us, even though Im only 21 and still learning about leasing outside of UNCC student living. Lavon is the BEST. The apartment is massive and the price is extremely reasonable. The parking here is fantastic. I dont feel unsafe here and even all of my neighbors have been incredibly generous and helpful. I have yet to find something I dont like about this place.

Unorganized management with poor excuses. Pool didn’t open until July 4th last year and was barely opened before shutting it back down this year with no timeline available per the office staff. Nevermind the continuous other issues. I would recommend anywhere else.

Is a very nice and quiet complex, just wish they had car garages located in each unit of the complex instead of just one area...who wants to park there car in a garage all the way across the parking lot and then walk all the way over into the next parking lot to their unit were they stay, thats just backwards...but other than that a overall nice complex and the staff is very friendly

I love this place! All rooms are HUGE! Id live here forever or at least till we buy a house. ☆☆☆☆☆*10 MONTH UPDATE: I think I spoke way too soon and was way too excited about moving to a new nice apartment. This area is not a good area for children they dont enforce people speeding even in the parking lot. My son almost got hit by another tenant on 3 different occasions because of people spending. I reported that my kitchen light was out and my smoke detectors werent working early in the morning one day and a whole week went by before anyone came by and that was after my fiance submitted another request. Im pretty sure someone with a key that doesnt live with me went into my apartment and stole all my gift wrapping items and my 3 year old sons Christmas present. My door lock was loosened and clearly tampered with. Who ever it was works for Ashley hill apartments and they were probably planning on coming back to steal the rest of my stuff. I dealt with it and maxed out my credit card to replace what was stolen.I did not bother reporting because there is no type of surveillance which is insane since there has been other reports of theft. No way to prove or show who came into my apartment and robbed me. I rather pack up and move out ASAP! Its way too expensive even for the extra amenities. Its not even worth using the gym unless the office is open because the only bathroom you can use is the one locked on the office side and thats even annoying because they wont let you play music you wanna hear while you work out. The swimming pool is ridiculously packed on good days to swim. We pay extra for the pool and it wasnt even open for most of the summer. They sent us to some random communities if we wanted to swim until ours finally opened. My 13 month lease is almost up and I received a letter saying that theyre going to raise my rent buy $300 more if I want to stay. My service dog keeps catching fleas from using the bathroom right outside the grass where I live. Ive spent so much money on different treatments and nothing works he keeps getting infested every time he goes out. The landscape is hideous! No one picks up their animal poop so you have to watch out when youre walking on any type of grass. The dog park is even worse its completely full of poop you cant safely walk in there without stepping on poop. For as much as they charge for rent things like this should be taken care of with constant pest control and people picking up the poop thats left their. At the end of the day if residents dont wanna pick it up it shouldnt still be left there. Its gross. The parking lot is ridiculous, to find a space now because of so many new college students moving in. When they have their parties/ hangouts on the weekend they fill up our entire parking lot and actual residence have nowhere to park. Even the mail man is an issue! On 3 different occasions he has misplace my packages once failing to deliver, once delivered to a whole different apartment complex and the 3rd he put my locker key in someone elses mailbox. Luckily there were some nice neighbors hear that returned my package. To bad they moved away! Now that Ive lived here for almost a year I can give a true review. The only way this place is good to live is if youre a college student. This is not fit for families! ☆

The trash valet service need to replace. No customer service and rude. I will recommend the office to take care of those guys. one of those guy have the odacity to talk to me in rude manner. I am really tired of this place forever.

I REALLY HAD A BAD experience with EBONY BOUEY leasing agent when i walk in to lease a apartment. I didnt even look at the apartment and left the place after talking to her. I dont like the way she talked to me and her attitude.I know this review should be about apartment not about her. I didnt get a chance to look at the apartment because of her, So I cannot write a review. I dont know how apartment people kept her as a leasing agent.

Disappointed in this complex I have been living here going on 3 years with minimal complaints about on going issues including shootings, street racing, dog feces, loud neighbors living above us and constant pool closings. Only to be charged a $25 fee for putting out trash too early. Why would a one time fee be the same as a monthly fee. And what acommadations were made when they fell short. Nothing but a letter of apology days after the incidents. Rent rates are high enough without additional fees.

Horrible place to live. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Rent went from $998 to $1251 for a handicap apt (with no fire place) after the first year. My apartment has been broken into twice. Leasing office said they would send a letter out. Never did. There’s never any parking. I always have to park at another building bc they won’t get rid of the abandoned vehicles that are there. There’s dog poop everywhere so you have to watch where you’re walking. Always car break-ins. A ton of bugs in the pool. Frogs in the breezeways. Mold in the apt and they just paint over it so you don’t see it. Just a horrible place to live! And if you do decide to move there just pay the base deposit. Even if you clean the apt they’ll find some excuse to keep your whole deposit

Pool has been green multiple times during the summer. Literally every piece of equipment in their gym is broken and totally unusable including the cardio equipment. Staff will leave the office during hours and lock the doors for extended periods of time making it impossible to get your packages.Rooms are pretty nice. Management is friendly and service requests are well tended to

Ive only been here for a few weeks and its has been a great experience thus far. I was moving in from out of town and Makeda and the other leasing consultants made the process easy and effortless. Ive had interactions with 3 agents and all have been very accommodating. I didnt get their names but one agent even stayed a few mins later after closing so I could pick up my key bc I was driving in from out of town & got caught up in traffic. I call that above & beyond. My apartment and the neighborhood are both lovely. Not sure about any other buildings but mine is nice & quiet & so far I am pleased.

I lived there right after it finished being built. Back when it was called Ashley Lake at Pinnacle Point. I noticed a white film on everything over time being in the apt. What had be happening was, one of the careless maintenance or construction crew persons had left a piece of drywall material right near the intake for the AC filter and was pulling all that into the system. So no one checked this before I moved in and maybe it was just a kinda of sabotage. I breathed that dirty air for a while till I figured it out. Had I been wiser I would had checked before signing.

Apartment is super beubeauti, residents very nice, staff very pleasant, and its not far away from UNCC or places to eat! Plus, there are no train sounds unlike a lot of apartments around here.

If you want a quiet, clean, and friendly complex to live at, make your home here at Ashley Court Apts.

Frequent gun shots can be heard in this apartment complex. I dont blame the staff, just the neighborhood. There was a shooting 20 yards from my apartment on the street next to the building, and the office basically said but did you die? In their emails about it.

Lived here 2 years and the apartments are beautiful and the pool is convenient and refreshing. Would have given a rating of 4-5 stars a year ago, but sadly there was a change in management about a year ago and Im warning everyone, stay away. They will lure you in with a low begining rate, but then implement rate hikes each year since they know its expensive for college students to move. The insulation is really thin and is pretty easy to hear all of your neighbors around you. The walkways are usually dirty and needing to be powerwashed. When they do powerwash, or some other loud maintenance outside your window, there is rarely prior notice given. They charge $25 a month to take the trash, which is convenient, but heaven forbid youre throwing up sick and have a doctors note and cant bring the trash container back inside your apartment before 9am youll get slapped with a $25 fee, equivalent to the whole month of service. This management team is not compassionate or empathetic, they will try to nickel and dime you as much as they can with a fake smile pretending they are providing great customer service. Whats most sad is the management before was so nice and had much better events that were actually fun, like making your own pizza by the pool. Now we get a donut at 8am... Like I said, beautiful apartment with a convenient pool, but really a shame whats happened to the management here.

Neighbor plays guitar and drums with bass on. Made multiple complaints to leasing office. Nothing helps, can’t wait for lease to expire. I am not recommending this place. Run.

Ive lived here for 3-4 years now and the place itself is good but the experience of the leasing office is what got me to leave this review with only 2 stars. First of all, good luck reaching them over the phone. Imo, why even freaking have it if no one is going to pick it up 9/10 times. We also had my sisters car broken into, which i do understand that it is not their fault but as i mentioned, ive been here for 3-4 years and i asked them to see if i can get a garage under a good faith for a few days until the new glass arrives since nobody had that glass in stock because the car was too new but nope i had to pay it. Literally zero fxxks given. The buildings are nice and new but the sound insulation is terrible. Imo, the college student apartment called 901 place has better sound insulation..

I have never lived in a community where the managment truly cares about all your needs and concerns both large or small. The community is 4 years old and it looks awesome. Oh and maintenance they are great and thats a plus in itself!

HORRIBLE - my fiance and I lived here for just under a year. At first, we thought that the grounds looked very nice. The shrubs were trimmed, the parking lots clean, etc. but we were not expected for the horrible service that the management brought to the table.It started on the first day we were there, our neighbor below us BLASTED music the entire time we lived in our apartment. All 11 months. We wrote tons of emails to the office, had to call the police multiple times, and also had to personally confront our neighbor when management refused to do anything about it. 4 nights out of the week, our floors would vibrate, our walls would vibrate and we could barely go to sleep before getting up for work the next morning.This issue continued throughout our entire time there. As the months went on, security decreased and we noticed a drastic increase in loitering and signs of crime. The windows on the bottom floor of our building had obviously been pried open and were kept like that for months.We attempted multiple times to bring our issues to management, however nothing was ever done. We were told every time that it would be handled. Around 6 months of living there, management stopped responding to our emails and complaints. I informed them I would happily meet with our neighbor with them to explain how all we wanted was some silence, but nothing ever developed.Thank goodness we didnt have a pet. The parking lots were consistently used as a place to drag race at night. At least two nights a week we would hear engines revving and cars peeling off in the street. For anyone who was walking their dog or going on a walk with their family, it was ridiculously dangerous.Around our 9th month, I started to notice random charges on our final bill. $5 here, $8 there. When I asked about it, I was informed that it was water bills. Nope. My water was already paid. When I pointed that out, I stopped getting responses to my emails.When we were moving out, we were told we could personally clean the apartment, or we could pay $99 for someone to clean it for us. With money being tight, my fiance spent two nights after work at the empty apartment scrubbing it inch by inch. I took a video of the final cleaned apartment and it was spotless.When we received our security deposit summary (which by the way they are insisting will take approximately 30 days to get back to us 10 days after we moved out) there was a charge for $99 stating the apartment was not cleaned. I have the apartment post-clean on VIDEO, showing it spotless.Landmark at Brighton Colony is a horrible place to stay. They do not listen to concerns, do not appear to care about security, charge you for random things and do not inform you why you are getting charged, and try to steal your money when you move out.I would be happy to send management a video of our apartment clean, although unfortunately I do not expect to get any response.Save yourself some heartache and do not live at Landmark at Brighton Colony.
