I hate to be this person, but I have been here 4 times, and unfortunately, all 4 times has ended in disappointment. first and second time my polish was lumpy and the shape was sloppy. The third time, I brought a friend with me, and they refused to paint simple snakes on my friends nails, and simply used a sticker on mine, and the edges of said sticker curled up and caught on things. this last time, I have gotten them done, loved how they looked leaving the store, but once I got home, about an hour later, one broke..... not cool, but also all the gel topcoat is peeling off. its been 24 hours, and they look terrible now..... I paid $90 for this after I specifically told them that I had a budget of $82. I went in looking to get just my nails done, but after much pestering I caved and got a pedi too, after I had already told them I just wanted my nails done. I have really bad social anxiety and tried to say no. I told them several times that all I had on me was $82 cash and that was my budget, and they ignored it, having me pay $90 for services I didnt even want. I still left a $10 tip so they wouldnt hate me if that helps you understand how bad my anxiety is.

They were friendly and did a good job on my toes. They have enough room for large groups.

I wasn’t going to review but I got my nails done at Sassy Nails over a week ago. They got mad at me because I didn’t want acrylics. Started rudely speaking in Chinese language. She then proceeded to tell me my nails were too short after she cut them as short as she could.. it looks like a child painted my nails. I wasn’t even in the chair for a half hour. The picture is what they did on the left and what my nail tech does on the right. I went here with a friend figuring I’d give it a try. They were also asking what race my nail tech is.. definitely unprofessional and disrespectful. Very disappointed with my experience.

I went into sassy nails because of my normal nail salon not having any openings. They were very polite and the acrylics are good. Although i don’t recommend getting designs. I asked for a drippy look on two of my fingers and the one she finished was not good and looks nothing at all how it looked in the picture I showed her. I realized that it wasn’t what I wanted and asked her to do a Lil Peep sad face on the other but she did a happy face. That nail doesn’t look bad but again not what I asked for. I ended up buying black gel nail polish and going over the drippy nail she attempted. She also took way longer than it should’ve, at least way longer then i’ve ever experienced for a simple set. If you are wanting acrylics and a solid color I recommend but anything more, I don’t.

I had my nails done 2 weeks ago here. One of my nails broke within a week of having them done and another the other day and all I was doing was putting on my shoe. I have had my nails done so many times and not once have any of my nails broken do quickly. I would never go back.

Friendly staff, nice pedicure. My toes look great. Make sure you bring cash for a tip though because their credit card machine doesn’t have a feature for adding tips and it makes the process difficult.

I asked for ombré nails and for the exact thing I had to be repeated. He said he understood went on to paint my whole nails the colors I picked out I asked him if he knew exactly what I meant because that wasn’t how other nail salons do them. He said yes he understood and not yet not yet… that I had been drinking beer. I don’t drink and havnt drink any alcohol in over five years not because I’m an alcoholic I just don’t like the taste or the effect. By this time I was so upset I was shaking, he then painted one hand and I said that’s definitely not ombré and not what I want. Then two of the other workers came over and tried to explain- he still did not understand. I was so upset abs frustrated I just told him to do what he felt comfortable doing. He charged me extra because he screwed up. Absolutely will not return. Poor customer service and poor choice of employees.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The wait was long even with an appointment and the final result was trash. Good customer service though, thats about all thats good.

My nails are not what I asked for at all. I wanted them marble design and they look like ground beef. More than one nail is different length size. I went back in and was told that my nails are the issue not their fault and that the way the design is is exactly what I asked for when it is not. It looks nothing like the nail that they are showcasing.

This was my first time getting a full set of acrylic nails. The staff was very nice and welcoming. However my nails were horrible. 4 of then were crooked and the paint was a quarter inch from the top of my nail so they looked like they had grown out quite a bit, the polish was also very messy and bumpy. I had polish and acrylic all over my fingers when they were complete and he also made my finger bleed with the drill. I didnt even have them a week and had to take them off because he filed the sides of my nail so much that my nail bed was exposed. This was so not worth the $50 and my friend who was with me and had hers filled and painted, had horrific nails after as well from a different person. Also not sure how sterile the instruments are just from observation. We will not be back there.

Horrible! I wish I could rate it lower than 1. I scheduled an appointment at 3 and waited till 3:45 when I finally left because I wasn’t getting in anytime soon! Such a poor quality business! Do not recommend at all.

I got SNS manicure here just 4 days ago (Thursday) and it is by far the worst nail service I have ever received. Just 4 days later, when SNS is supposed to last 2 weeks, I have chipping and peeling nails. The service was extremely rushed & over priced! I paid $45 for her to leave powder on my fingers and no manicure at all!!! I came home and had to cut my own cuticles and file my own nails. This is by far the worst nail salon I have ever been too. Waste of money. Do not go unless you want to waste your money too.

She also has an eye for detail and truly values the quality of what comes out of her salon. She doesnt rush and reviews everything before moving on to the next step. First time here and I will be back soon. The staff is so great, provides excellent customer service, and does quality work. Im currently pregnant so finding a nail salon that uses non-toxic products was a priority. I didnt smell fumes of any kind while I was there. I ended up buying a 5 pedicure package and am looking forward to my upcoming visits.

Called at noon and was fit in by 1:30 even on a holiday. Very nice friendly staff and good work! Definitely would come again soon.

This is a great nail salon! The customer service is fantastic and they have an amazing collection of polish. You wont have to wait all day but you also dont feel rushed. He did my nails. I showed him a picture and he gave me exactly what I asked for! Im very pleased and Ill definitely be coming back!

I had full set of acrylics put on today. They look and feel like my natural nails. Ive never been more pleased with a manicure, even from much more expensive salons here in town and away. Two months ago I paid three times as much for the same service in NYC and hated the result. Today I am in love. I wont go anywhere else

Recently came in for the first time with my partner for a couples pedicure. We were welcomed warmly by several staff members as soon as we entered and seated immediately. Very reasonably priced and exceptional customer service by both women. I personally had Angel as my nail technician and I absolutely recommend her. Attention to detail was on point! The girls also kept us entertained in conversation during our appointment. I will definitely be a return customer!

So when getting there, I had a 30 minute wait and then I had to wait another 20 minutes once allowed in the store (due to COVID restrictions) after this everything was fine and dandy but it ended up costing $90 for a standard gel Mani pedi and I just don’t find that acceptable for something that I could do myself at home. The end product was ok but not worth $90...

Sassy Nail & Spa is one of the best places in Bangor to get any nail service done. I came in with a design in mind and they did it just like I wanted and even offered a really good opinion on how to do them. Love this place will always come back!

The underneath of my nails are sloppy, they are not the same shape, and they are WAY too thick. The service was good, but the price is unacceptable. I got a mani-pedi and I personally paid $15 extra for the design, and the nails are cute and all... but not $105 worth. I will NEVER go there and spend over $100 for a mani pedi.2/5 not horrible, but would not recommend unless you really wanna spend too much money on an agressively mediocre job.

They offer dip manicures which is my favorite. Service was outstanding, clean fun atmosphere and everyone is very experienced and kind. This is my new favorite spot, I will go back again and again. You have to try it.

This was my first and last time at this salon. Every one of my nails is messed up. I asked for a refill for my acrylic almond shaped nails. All the woman needed to do was simply follow the same shape that was already done for her but she filed every nail flat. Some are filed so wildly that the center/tip of the nail is off to the left or right by miles. If I could upload an image I would. Im so embarrassed by these nails - I have a job interview and I think Ill be removing them before that. Im upset because I paid and tipped and still o think o couldve done a better job. The paint is rippled where she didnt allow the undercoat to dry. The entire experience was poor and I would highly recommend doing them yourself before entering this salon.

Called at 2:30 to see if they could fit me in between 3-5. We talked for more than just a minute about what I needed — just a gel toenail polish change — and agreed on 3:15. I got there and she tried to get me set up as a manicure, and then proceeded to try to give me a full pedicure after I twice reiterated I just needed a gel toenail polish change. The woman pictured cut two of my toes as she used an electric file and was none too gentle. My toes had smudges around the edges and I watched her put the tools she just used on my feet back in her toolbox without any sterilization or even cleaning. Then they charged me for a full pedicure. I will NEVER go back there.

Visiting Bangor for my birthday weekend so I treated myself to getting my nails done. They have the Cats Eye polish which I tried out and I love it!

Paid $40 for my nails, everyone was very nice, but my nails are not the same shapes nor lengths, and all have different levels of opacity. It took several attempts to get any of my questions answered, if they got answered at all. I have had my nails for three days now and they are breaking already. My friends are also breaking. Overall, I didnt have the good experience I was looking for.

I went to Sassy Nails for the first time today for a pedicure I have never felt so uncomfortable. They hollered at me when I walked through the door and asked what I wanted. When I said I wanted a pedicure they told me to pick out my color and then I was pointed to go to the chair. The woman who did my pedicure was the most unfriendly, nasty woman ever. She yanked my feet and pointed and never said a word to me. I told her I wasnt sure I had picked out the right color and wanted to test it. She put a little on my toe nail and when I said I thought it was too red, she look very frustrated, hanked the towels off my legs and told me to go pick one out. Ive been to other places where they have helped me pick out a color but not this one. What should have been a relaxing experience turned out to be an awful experience. She was rushing through it & was rough with my feet. Also both towels she used on me were very worn and had holes in them. Im not impressed and I will not be back!

I used to visit the Ellsworth location every 2 weeks when I lived in Bar Harbor.Bangor location has one of the largest nail polish selection around(so Ive been told)Free water, and the owners are super friendly.

My sister and her friend were bringing me out for my birthday and we all wanted our nails done. We decided to call in advance since there was 3 of us and make sure they had room. When my sister called she asked the woman if there was room for 3, the woman proceeded to ask what we wanted (ignoring the original question) and when my sister said acrylics she intrupted saying “We don’t want more people.” then hung up.Not a good way to grow a business..

Customer service is pretty bad, theyre rough on your feet during a pedicure and its not a friendly atmosphere. Cheapest around to get a pedicure and they do a good job but theres a reason its so cheap :/

I decided to book a last minute appointment here for a mani/pedi and lip waxing. And I was very pleased. The place is relatively clean and doesnt reek too badly of nail products. After coming here I cant go anywhere else.

Very much overpriced I guess because of the covered 19 everybody is raising their prices, just looked at my toes I had a pedicure its like the person who did it didnt know what she was doing also there is no refunds this is the worst salon Ive ever been in beware, Im reporting them to the state of Maine .

Would give 0 stars if I could. The young woman who did my pedicure was very friendly and did a decent job. The woman who did my nails (I believe is the owner/ manager) however was very rough when removing my gel and cut me several times. She never filed my nails after cutting them and left polish all around my nails and didn’t paint the edges either (typically done with a gel manicure). All around a very sloppy job. I also felt very rushed as my nails were done at the same time my pedicure was being done and I had to hold the light for my gel in my lap. I cannot believe I spent $60 I would not recommend this place to anyone or come back here for another manicure.

I got french tip shlack nails which have lasted weeks in the past. It has been 2 days and they have peeled off (without me picking at them) in 3 different places. For $35+tip I am not impressed and will not be going back here again.

Like most nail salons, some staff are better than others. A great scrubbing of the heels and leg massage goes a long way for a great tip.

Sassy in bangor, i went in hours before prom to get my nails done and at first i looved them but the more i looked at them i kept noticing things about them. they’re all DIFFERENT sizes and she cut my pinky while doing my nails. She was on the phone the whole time and rushed them they have something black in the white!! geesh have some god damn respect. definitely not worth $40

Walked in. Was greeted quickly. Was confused on where to go when the lady spoke. I had to ask another person who was getting their nails done where Im supposed to go/what the lady was saying. Waited close to an hour to get my nails done that took less than 20 minutes. Tools didnt seem to be sanitized. I was rudly asked to move out of my seat for another lady who wasnt even getting her nails done. I wanted all my nails one color except for 1 accent nail on each hand and I didnt get that. I got one color with sparkles on top. Every single nail is either missing a spot of nail polish or not fully covered. They filed my nails down way to short and during the process it felt like chainsaws were eating away at my fingernails. Paid $30 plus $5 tip for bad service and an awful first time experience. Then when getting ready to leave, 4 of the workers accused a party of 6 of not paying enough money for their nails (them just trying to get a little more money) and were literally yelling at each other arguing over if the customers paid or not. Yeah... Will not be going to Sassy Nails. Ever. Again.

I have actually defended this place to my friends. I have been a frequent customer over the past year. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I went on my day off for a relaxing mani, pedi. The woman who did my pedi was rude and mean. She acted as if I was putting her out. I wanted to pick a gel color while I was already in my pedi seat as she demanded me to be and she literally threw the samples at me. She was so rough that my forth toe is black and blue. She kept grabbing my foot and turning it, annoyed that I was not reading her mind. To top it off, another girl did my mani while I was still in the pedi chair. I had to balance the light box on my lap. This was not relaxing or even close to pleasant. My mani color looks ok but the trimming of cuticles was horrible given the position I was in. To top it off, they speak in their own language and you know that they are talking about you. Otherwise they are very difficult to understand and don’t appear to even try to speak more clearly, then they get angry when you ask them to repeat themselves. I paid $70 for one of the worst experiences of my life. NEVER AGAIN!

Me and my best friend decided to make a day of it and go here. We both got our nails done I got acrylic extensions with shellac nail polish and she got mood changing nail polish. The environment was awful we sat and had our nails done while four other people who also appeared to be employees there sat around us and appear to be judging our nails there was laughing and snickering.... And if that werent enough I continued to ask the man to shorten up my nails and he proceeded to tell that he couldnt do that ... So after the third time of me asking him to shorten them up I just told him I would go home and do it myself !!!!! he gave me attitude and said you go home leave !!!! The end result of my nails is awful you can see the seems so bad !!! Im very fearful of when it comes time to take them off the damage that he did underneath ... Never again !!!!!

Expensive and not friendly. Did not enjoy a relaxing massage or good cleaning. The lady kept rolling her eyes at me and was super grumpy and cud barely speak or understand English. I think now that so many ppl have put bad reviews about them screaming that they are instructed not to speak at all lmao! Also they have issues with credit cards because they are that cheap about being charged by the processor and only do cash tips... which makes the customer feel embarrassed when they didnt know and its so inconvenient! shady place

My first time coming here they were able to my mom and I right in, Great right? They had an awesome selection which I loved! I picked out out what I wanted and they guy did something completely different. I wanted black nails with silver sparkle tips. Well he decided to just give me black tips with silver sparkles over the top. I was going to say something but when it was rhe black tips it actually looked really good. He put some weird design on them and once smeared with the sparkles it ruined them not to mention they didnt cover my whole nail. My nails are jagged..50$ including tip out the window. Then my moms nails they didnt covet her whole nails as well they awful another 50$ out the window.I was on my way to an event so I couldnt sit there any longer to fix them, besides I felt like if I did they wouldnt of listened to what I wanted anyways. Never again will I come here

Had a terrible time. I even showed the guy who was doing my nails a picture of what I wanted. He then proceeded to do whatever he wanted and added green to my toes which I never even asked for. I dont think he understood a word of english. I even got there early as to avoid the rush and was rushed through my treatment.I also told him I wanted fake nails, acrylics, and he proceeded to paint my nails. I was too exasperated to fight him on this as he didnt understand me and my boyfriend was furious. Worst experience ever.

Would never recommend this salon to anyone. The tips he put on my nail were way too wide, which I figured they would file but didnt, he almost cut the tip of my thumb off while clipping the length, they are super bulky, blunt, sharp, and boxy looking. And none of them are the same length. I told the guy what I didnt like about them, and he just didnt really listen. Horrible experience.
