Not always consistent, but they do a fine job at a fair price. Sometimes they hurt through my nails, they dont always spend the same amount of time on me when I go in. They have nice chairs that massage. They only take cash or check as well... No cards

Horrrrible I set an appointment, showed up on time and still waited 30 minutes. She then was rushing and skipping steps. shortly after I left my acrylic nails started bubbling and peeling on the sides. I called and they said they would fix it so I turned around, they “fixed the 2 nails” and a day later they are peeling yet again. Neverrrrr going back!

I hate to leave a bad review but others should be warned! I am new to Maine and looking for a nail salon. I was fooled by the the reviews. The place was dirty with clearly visible large cobwebs by the pediatric seats. Almost everything surface was covered with nail polish. All the nail polish is clearly old and thick. My manicure was horrible she didnt even clean my cutitals the correct way. The application of the gel of very sloppy (thick or thin in different places) and started cracking and peeling shortly after having them done. On some spots my skin was stuck to the gel!!! Be warned!!!

Disclaimer: I haven’t been here for a few years. The reason for that being that I moved across the country...which is what compelled me to write this 5 star review because I have yet to find another nail salon of this caliber. Elegant nails always did exactly what I wanted, all my nails were shaped perfectly and priced right, if I ever had any concerns or complaints they addressed them and fixed it....you can’t get service like that in other states. For real I wish there was an Elegant Nails out here in Colorado!

Lousy service. I went in to get a manicure and pedicure. The communication was difficult. The guy put acetone on my fingernails only to soak the old polish off and got up and walked away and flipped over his shoulder it should be a half hour. I said wait, what about my toenails, because they should be soaking at the same time. He kept going into the back room. No response, no communication. After 10 minutes I asked the employee at the next station why he was still gone and why my toenails arent soaking. She mumbled something about we dont do it that way here. Why, not? It doesnt make sense to do one after the other. It wastes my time. She then said he doesnt do pedicures. Why wasnt I told that? I dont want to spend an extra 2 hours because they dont communicate or ask me if I have all day because the guy has a flippy attitude and doesnt do pedicures. When the guy came back to remove the acetone and polish, he said he was only kidding about the half hour and it only takes 5 minutes. Then why didnt he come back in 5 minutes and didnt until someone went and got him? I think he wanted a half hour break. They dont value the customer and have bad attitude.

Ive been going to Elegant Nails for years.. Kim and Kara are amazing and super talented artists (they all are 😊). I receive compliments on my nails everytime I have them done, even weeks after and they last so long. Im happy to tell anyone who asks me where I get my nails done that I go to them and recommend they do the same! 💅😍

Long wait, they seemed disorganized. They kept taking people that walked-in after me. I left without getting my nails done. Though reasonable prices, not worth the hassle.

First time having my nails done here and I was worried because I am so picky about my nails. I have tried many places but there was always something that I didnt like about the end product. I am so pleased with the job Elegant Nails did! My nails look fabulous! They look natural, they arent too thick, the polish was put on neat and even, they are uniform in length, and the tech was pleasant and gentle. I have found my nail place at last!

Everyone is talented with their ability to create nail art. The ladies are sweet and the guys are funny! A very clean and enjoyable experience.

This is the only place my wife will go to get her nails done they listen to what you want and if you dont like your nails for whatever reason they redo them at no extra cost extremely awesome place

Not sure who did my pedicure, but she barely spoke to me and was on her phone talking for quite a bit of time while doing my feet. After I got home, I noticed I had nail polish on my foot - on top of my foot by my ankle! She was so busy on her phone that she didnt even pay attention. The place itself is nice, but if I go back I will try to get someone else.

Kim gives the best pedicures! I miss having her close by.

The women who had done my acrylic set was rude and not very personable. Kim did my boyfriends feet and she was amazing, and very nice and funny.

Nail broke day after because they are so so thin. Did my nails very quickly, not enough time to do them properly...

Came in for a walk-in, was asked what I wanted done by 2 different people then asked to wait. Then a third person came asked what I wanted done and rudely said that they didnt have time for me and I was asked to find another salon and leave. I was aghast and as I was responding to him he cut me off to the answer the phone and completely dismissed me. Horrid customer service, will not be returning ever.

I love this place been going here for years, my frustration is they dont answer the phone and there is no way to leave a message. I dont like having to drive there to see if they can fit me and find out they cant. I would rather call make an appointment.

Amazing place. Those who complain clearly have first world problems. They are very compassionate, and although they cannot converse much in English, it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get ATLEAST a 20% tip. People survive off of tips.

I came in without an appointment. So, I waited about .5hrs.Upon arrival I stated I wanted a gel manicure with a pedi. I wanted my gel taken off with remover and aluminium foil during my pedicure. I was ignored.So, time for manicure and they break out the power file...wrong. I do not like my nails to be filed since they are so weak. If I wanted them to be filed I would get tips. The woman said you should have told me I did as I walked in!I asked for an extra coat of gel. My nails 2 weeks later still look good.Overall I would return but insist on the foil removal.

I had a great experience, chairs are very comfortable, its clean, nice selection of gel polish, fast service, staff are nice. Good price. I recommend this place and will return.

Messed up my nails, I payed 50$ for a mani pedi and well the pedi was nice the woman refused to help me find the color I had picked on the rack of painted nails and ended up picking a horrid blue the turns in to brown, on top of that she didnt even get my whole nail I look like I have 2 weeks grow out on some of them when they are 2 days old and the sides of half of my nails where it even painted, I would have had her fix them but when I pointed out the tip of my finger had been covered in clear she proceeded to cut it and my natral nail to match her painting. I made her stop when she started cutting the side and causing me a lot of pain by separating the natral nail from the bed to cut it. I will never be back and I will never recommend to anyone.

Ask for Kara. Shes does a great job and can do very nice nail art too.

Not very personable, rushed through and skipped steps, and didnt do a very good job. Unfortunately I will not be going back to this location. I also wouldnt recommend it either.

Save your money. Was asked to make a reservation 4 hours later but when I came back they made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Polish is janky and clearly watered down so will chip in less than a week I’m guessing. Not worth it.

I wont go anywhere else in Bangor to get my nails done! In the beginning the language barrier made it a bit tricky as not all the nail artists speak English perfectly but they are talented and offer helpful feedback and advice about nail design and care! Great selection of colours for both gel and regular nails.

All of my nails came out crooked even after I asked them to fix them. The nail tech filed my nails so thin that they started breaking days after I got them done. Not worth the money, go to superstar nails.
