Ive been getting my haircut at Stans Downtown Barbers for many years now and always love the results of my haircut. Stan is a real pro and the best barber Ive ever had by far. Took my son to the business next door but they weren’t taking walk ins, so I walked by Stans barbershop & noticed they weren’t busy so I decided to stop in. Marcos, who was very welcoming offered to cut my sons hair & did a great job interacting & making my 4 year old comfortable well getting the job done 👏. Hands down the best fade my son has EVER had! Will be making another appointment very soon. Love this old fashioned barbershop 💈 with friendly staff & an awesome vibe.

I found Stans and booked online for a same day appointment, which was hard to find on a Saturday. Dennis gave me a great haircut and was very friendly and professional. I’ll definitely be returning for my cuts in the future!

Im not one to leave negative reviews, but the haircut that I got here this week ranks with one of the worst that Ive had. I showed the barber a picture of a medium skin fade. What I came out with is a high and tight, and it literally looks like he just put a bowl on the top of my head to cut the rest. Thankfully my hair grows fast, but I wont be back.

I’ve tried different barbers for over a year now. Randy at Stan’s on Champa is #1. I gave him a vague description of what I was looking for and he crushed it!

Booked an appointment online. Arrived about 15 mins earlier than my scheduled appointment. At the door the sign states to wait outside until somebody comes and gets you Im guessing. So waited outside with my mask on by the door a gentleman walked out of the barbershop then came back 10 mins later passed me and just proceeded to go inside and not really care. As Im standing outside I realize theres not a single soul inside. I can understand if it was busy but the fact that I arrived before my scheduled time and waited after it just left a really bad taste in my mouth. Extremely unprofessional thankfully there was another barbershop nearby that accepted walk ins. I guess some days they want buisness and other days they dont.(Update) after I had left I received an email 15 after my scheduled appointment that it had been cancelled?? Mind you they were not busy at all.

I’ve been going here for about 6 months and I always get an amazing hair cut. I go to Marcos and he always does a real clean cut with a dope free hand design. He does a crisp beard line up too. I’ve gone to multiple barbers and nothing compares to what I get from Marcos. The customer service is great too Marcos and all the others go out of their way to greet you when you walk in and there’s always good conversation when I’m in the chair. 10/10 recommend this place.

I took my son into Stans and had an amazing experience. A gentleman named Marco cut his hair and its the best haircut I have ever seen.... but it feels like a sauna in that tiny little shopThey definitely need to invest in cool air to keep their customers and barbers happy. Overall it was a good experience besides the fact that it felt like it was 90 degrees inside.

Ive been going to Stans for 6 months now Ive let Dean and a few others cut my hair but my favorite go to barber is definitely Marcos. He takes pride in his work and it really shows best fades and line ups Ive ever had. He is a professional and very detailed check him out you wont be disappointed.

Fantastic barber shop! Stan has cut my hair for 2 years now and I wouldnt go anywhere else. Their online booking is simple and extremely convenient (while also sending appointments to your Outlook accounts).Last summer, I mentioned we were hosting a charity event at our home and before I could finish, he was already listing off ideas for things he could donate.If you havent stopped by the shop, I recommend scheduling an appointment. It is really convenient to be able to get a haircut on a workday. Stans makes it easy to schedule or drop in. I have had multiple barbers cut my hair there, and have always been pleased with the results. The price is reasonable and its fun to people-watch out the front window.

Came in last night, sorry, cant take any more walk ins, schedule an appointmentSchedule appointment for the next day.Came in early, asking if there was any way they could get me in early, they said they were booked and Id need to keep my scheduled appointment.All fine.Then I come in, sit for 22 minutes past my appointed time, watch two barbers finish up (the barber I reserved with was in the back busy, apparently).Horrible customer service. Left without my haircut.

It took me a few months of searching to find this classic barber shop. Prices are amazing for the service you will get. Dean is my personal favorite and have been going to him for over a year. Won’t be changing barbers anytime soon.

Walked in and Marco hooked me up with a great cut. Everyone in the shop seemed to know what theyre doing cutting mens hair. No need to pay $40 at other local barbers when you can get the same cut or better at Stans. Will be back for sure.

I would not recommend this place for short haired women. I had an appointment with Russ. I was very clear that I had been growing my hair out from a very short pixie and only needed the bottom lined up. A basic request. Instead, he cut off at least 2 inches, into the longer parts of my hair, and months worth of growth. David stepped in and tried to help him as he became increasingly flustered. In the end, it turned out extremely choppy and significantly shorter. He also scratched the hell out of my neck. If he did not know how to cut a womans hair, he should have been honest and said so. I would have much preferred to not have gotten it cut at all as opposed to what was done to my hair. They didnt even charge me, thats how you know its bad. Ive had 2 line ups here in the past, both done by females. I didnt want to be biased, but I guess in this case I should have been. Now I have to go spend $60+ somewhere else to have what should have been a basic trim fixed. Never going back to Stans.

I have gone to so many different barber shops until I found this one! Ive had absolutely terrible experiences everywhere else and this shop restored my faith in good quality barbers!! I have worked only with Christina because I dont feel as though I need to try different ones. She gets my hair on point every time! I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She did fantastic with it! Even when or if I did have a probepr. She got me in fixed it up, made it look perfect and back on my way I was!! I would highly recommend this place to everyone. Now every single one of my co workers have been to this place! Not one complaint from them either!!

Excellent staff. I cant recall the younger barbers name, maybe, Joe. Nevertheless, he asked a lot of questions about how I wanted my hair styled and cut. It was not a quick turnaround. He took his time and it came out great. Id definitely come back.

A young barber did not properly do a fade. He was also the only barber working on a Saturday afternoon.

Ive been driving from Aurora since the early 90s and Rudy has been my barber since the beginning. Rudy and Stan have an original mens barber shop and Dennis has been keeping mens shoes shining for those important business occasions. Thanks guys for one of my best half hours a month.

Great barber shop in the heart of downtown. I just moved here and was looking for a good cut and Stan gave me the best Ive had in a long time. He also provided good conversation and wanted to get to know me. I am super bummed that Im reviewing this place now. Im sure they have great barbers still, but Gina was the best cut Ive ever had and I had been going to her for about 7 months. I went in the other day to see if she was available, but the frumpy lady sitting down in the waiting seating advised me that Gina was no longer working there. She then told me youre just a walk-in then. I almost asked her what the point of saying that even was, other than to belittle, but I was caught off-guard. She then laughed at my consternation so I walked out and wont be back.Im not sure who the lady was, but if she was supposed to be Ginas replacement and she cannot even understand why someone would be disheartened that their barber is no longer across the street or have any empathy for them, then shes in the wrong profession.

Stan is a real gentleman who does excellent work. He fixed up a bad haircut I received and made sure I got exactly what I wanted while offering professional advice. Couldnt be happier with the service and quality of his work.

Excellent service however I asked for a minuscule amount to be removed from my beard in order to clean it up a smidge and the result was about 1.5-2 inches. I can say the detail is great, yet I cannot fully recommend this place for anything less than a full beard trim.
