Save your money. This place is overpriced and the service abundantly quality is lackluster. I paid for a pedicure with gel polish and it was so cheap it didn’t dry, even after they placed the machine over my toes. It kept bubbling up. They wouldn’t communicate and was very nonchalant. This man filed my polish off and tried it 3 times before I asked for him to just stop. They still made me pay for service I didn’t receive. I left and went to another nail salon and was told my feet was poorly done and needed to be done over. So, I had to pay them $55 to give me the quality service I didn’t receive from this place. I wouldn’t recommend a dog to get their paws groomed. It’s a total ripoff.

Though it is time for a refill on my nails, they are so good my toe nails look like they were just done. The atmosphere was so relaxing and everyone so professional.

I usually go to Long Nails across the street but this has been my go-to spot lately since they have remodeled. Very clean, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Designs are on point!

Receptionist is extremely unprofessional. Tried to charge me $104+change for a gel pedi & fill in w/gel polish after the tech that did my services quoted me a price of $63. Got into a heated argument with receptionist even after service tech admitted what he quoted to me… but guess what??? Guess where he got the quote from in the first place???.. the freaking RECEPTIONIST!!! When came time for me to pay, she had hiked the price for the pedi & fill in up $41 more dollars…then tried to blame me for the mistake. They had to remove her from the front bc she almost caught it for real. But guess who paid the price that was quoted & not her hiked up price????ME. Will nvr give this establishment my money again. Needs a makeover in integrity, professionalism, & hospitality.

The wait wasnt too bad, but I was worried about my car getting towed since the parking meters werent working, and the guy that did my nails was more concerned about playing his Pokemon game on his phone then doing my nails. Which didnt come out right either. I asked for short with rounded sides and get minimum length with some nails rounded and others just square. I went home and tried to fix them. I wont be going back.

I went here one time for a simple coffin full set. It looked amazing... for the next 3 days. After that the gel polish started to peel back. I had to pull off some of the peeling gel so it can look half way decent. Then while using the bathroom, the middle finger nail just POPPED OFF right into the toilet. I was so mad. I don’t like looking tacky so I just simply decided to remove the rest of the nails myself. Why was I able to pop the ACRYLIC NAILS off so easily ? They popped off like I had them on for 3 weeks and soaked them. I was so mad and felt like I wasted my money. They charged me $57 for a full gel set and they didn’t even last me a whole week. Terrible place.

The experience was cool. The nail tech was nice. The gel that they used is not the best quality and lasted for about two weeks before it started peeling. Nonetheless not a bad place but please use higher quality gel

Absolutely stunning what they did to upgrade for the safety of the customers and themselves.However they have to be aware of ALL the safety issues.I bought it to there attention about the bed for doing eyelashes.WHERES THE CLEAN LINEN???OR THE PAPER ROLL???For every new client!!!He quickly apologizes a few mix ups in opening.He got the paper roll....in place.With that being said.Job well done

Im concerned. I went here for a quick polish change for my toes, and I was given the price of $12. After sitting, the lady who did my feet said its an extra $1 charge because she has to open a new packet for each person due to COVID-19. The packet that shes referring to contained one nail file and one buffer. It makes sense to open a new packet per customer HOWEVER the nail salons Ive been to in the past have ALWAYS opened a fresh packet and used new nail files, clippers, buffers etc for each customer. So the fact that she specified that because of COVID theyre opening new packets per customer AND its a $1 charge is concerning to me. The place is beautiful on the inside and looks state of the art, however from the 10 minutes I was there, it seems the service does not match the look.

I’ve been coming to (Lux Nails) for over 3yrs and the customer service,Has gone from “excellent to horrible”I’ve had to switch techs due to improper treatment (being sat in cold 🥶 water for a pedicure) on a winters late morning might I add. To my latest fiasco scheduling conflicts with my new tech, I thought I found someone reliable and efficient. But unfortunately an appointment made 3 days prior fell through due to communication errors and scheduling conflict-on my techs behalf. Also I can’t quite help to feel over the years because I’m a male;They feel it’s ok to treat me this way. My money is just as good as anyone else’s and it’s rather “sexist” which is a shame because I’ve really grown accustomed to the place.But the treatment of men (gay or otherwise) is horrible.😪😪😪✖️❌👎🏽

I LOVE this place! Ive been getting serviced here for almost 3 years now and have only had lovely work and luxurious experiences. The recent renovation is a HUGE hit, designed by the owner herself, adding a really glamorous touch to your spa day. My favorite thing to do is bring my girlfriends here, the salon is so big and expansive that you can always be seen together in a timely fashion (but you should always call ahead for large groups for obvious reasons) and everyone can afford it with their more than fair prices. They even have a private VIP room, which surpasses all expectations. Im very impressed by how theyre taking responsibility during the pandemic to keep guests safe and stylish. Cant wait to go back for my 3 week standing appointment!

The techs do a good job, but don’t come here if you care about cleanliness and sanitation. They re-use the manicure tools over and over again (when most places use a new pack). My nail tech used a cuticle cutter that was so rusty I honestly thought I would get an infection. I’m giving three stars because my nails lasted for 3+ weeks and I don’t have tetanus :)

My nails look very good and the service was very prompt BUT my nail technician blatantly ignored my nail color request after telling her several times that I asked for a different color (I wanted white and she gave me a gray/blue). I also showed her a design I’d like and she began painting my nails and when i asked if she could do the design, she said no (so I wouldn’t have known until the end). After this, I showed a different and simpler design and she started laughing and showing other employees in mocking way- I felt very disrespected. In the end, the nails look great but they are in no way the color I asked for several times and was ultimately ignored.

Horrible experience. I had experienced horrible customer service. The lady who done my nails told me “ I’m too dark for light colored nails” the color was pink. Pink looks great on me. She said I’m too dark see this color don’t look good on dark it look good on light. My mouth dropped and I gave her a look. Can’t believe she said this to me. Racism !

I love Soy. That is my girl. She does good work and always knows her clients needs.The shop is big and I love the VIP area and decor. It is organized and price fairly. I wish they offered some more healthy and organic options for nail care.

Had a filling done and Andy did my nails.... i waited at least an hour before being seen. My cuticles are sore on 4 fingers and he left a hairline fracture on my ring finger nail. He was also watching a football game on his phone while doing my nails which caused him to pause whenever his game got intense... he was sorta rough yanking at my hands when he went from finger to finger or to the next hand.. seemed rushed, even tho I waited over an hour specifically for him... now that its finally my turn, were rushing? I thought WOW... once he fixes the fractured nail that he just slapped glue under (for me to deal with once it breaks on my own time LOL)I wont be back... it’s unfortunate... I really wanted to like this shop...

A lovely salon with the most dedicated stylists. Diligent work ethic has you in and out in no time. the VIP room has the best massage chairs and nail designs can go from simple to elaborate but all elegant. Its my favorite place.

I’ve never had my nails done in 10 minutes, her job was sloppy. She did the opposite of what I wanted and overcharged me. Worst experience ever

I went to get a full set and pedicure a while back and loved it. This spa is truly amazing despite poor location in a high crime and drug stricken area. Im not 21 yet so I havent tried out the LUX Room (where you are allowed to enjoy alcoholic beverages while receiving your pedicure service) but I saw many people going inside so, it must be worth the extra money. The design artist is talented and full of life. She is open to new ideas and can make almost anything with just a glance at a picture. Im extremely satisfied with the service I received and the reasonable prices.

I always go to Peter for my eyebrows and nails hes the best. He does my eye brows WAYYYYY better than any one else and theyre always flawless when he does them. Makes sure Im comfortable and happy ❤️🙌🏾

This is one of the best place to go to get the dip for your nails, full manicure for your nails, an the deluxe pedicure for your feet. The operater Lann does a terrific job, an Vannessa does well in cleaning as well as anything else.

So heres the deal with this nail shop. Its in the Waverly community which isnt really a bad area. Baltimore city has really improved its safety in this area. When you 1st walk in your greeted by the receptionist which shes very friendly and after a few times shes gets to know everyone and what services youre therefore. They have a vast array of nail polishes from the darkest to the brightest colors. The pedi spa are cleaned after every pedicures. Now heres the thing thats terrible, not everyone knows how to do a really good pedicure nor polish. So youll have to get a good nail tech. The owner and his wife both work on Saturdays. The other issues, if theres alot of clients in there, than just come back another day because you will be rushed and charged extra. I typically go maybe on Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday which are the slower days. Price wise, typically which can vary depending on what services youre getting done.

Terrible employees. They have all new employees and they still do horrible pedicures, manicure, tips, gel color,and waxing. Go elsewhere and the manager Andy acts like hes too good to do pedicures. Someone needs to help these pitiful employees. This shop is nice inside but the employees dont speak English and when you ask them to correct the polish that start talking in their language so you know there talking about ur ass. How rude. Do the work right and we straight. Point, blank period!!!!

I have been using the services of Lux nails for 6 yrs now. At 1st I used the nail tech that was available, but I wasnt very satisfied. Then I met Wendy, a other nail tech. She was very nice and gentle. Wendy was mindful of my Multiple Sclerosis disability & that Im in a wheelchair. Its important to have someone to be gentle & kind to have a reason to make you a repeat customer.Wendy has been doing my mani & pedi ever since.

Black people please stop going to them. Do you see any black women working there. I only went to them once because my cousin is a regular there (nail date) the owner did my nails. I needed a fill in and two nails fixed. Mind you i just have a overlay on my real nails they are a lil long not yet the length of a fake nail. He also did my brows soooo he charged me 58 dollars. He could not explain why he was charging me like i got a full set pedi and lashes. He tried to say based on the length of my nails thats why i owe him the extra twenty. Their receipts dont break down the math. So YES THEY ARE ROBBING US.

The service has definitely decreased since they first opened, there are only a few good nail techs. They charge you different prices each time you go. They are extremely long winded, the girl at the front desk has an attitude problem. They need to get it together, because I really like Tee and Andy.

Inconsistent service. Very rude. They price gouge and upcharge people if they aren’t common customers. Each technician has different standards of service so some are better than others, but some are really bad. They don’t treat your cuticles and are generally very rough.
