Wonderful staff. They were very friendly and helpful which is what you need when youre anxious about your pets. Wait on Sunday for something mild was only around 2 hours when everywhere else was 4-6. They were incredibly accommodating as well and let us take our very loud and big dog around the back and wait in our car.
Friendly, caring staff. They always try to give it their all and truly show compassion for their patients even when they are at capacity. Highly recommend.
TAKE care of all of our Rescue Fur Babies in our at Rescue that are seriously ill. If you live in Austin, Go see Dr. Chang & her team. From the front room assistants to the vet assistants, they are wonderfully, personable during your time of emotional upset. Its not easy dealing with anyone when your loved one, human or fur, is hurting, but these people listen & care. Our Smokey was diagnosed with cancer last week. Such a beautiful cat that the original owners threw out. We homed him for almost 2.5years. He thinks he is a dog. He walks down the street to the mailbox with my husband, & will schrill at the dog next door at the dog next door. Smokey, as ALL of our rescues are special. This PLACE is worth the time & money. I hope you can feel my heartfelt love for the staff, as well as our Fur Babies Rescue. Have A Wondrous Day.
We showed up and there were a few cars in the parking lot. There were only two people waiting. We were told it would be 4-6 hours and a vet tech would come our and assess. The vet tech never came out. We left after about an hour and figured anything that was going to happen could happen at home. The place didn’t seem busy. I don’t know why the 4-6 hour wait. The staff weren’t rude, but they didn’t make eye contact or show any concern. Before we left I politely asked why the wait and if there was a vet there. The woman politely said there was.Compassion goes a long way in human and animal care. I didn’t find any compassion here.
I am very happy with the level of attention and care they put into my dog. My dog randomly lost motor function and they took him back right away. Everyone working there was empathetic and helpful as well.
This office has never me down. Yesterday was exceptional. My dog is very anxious when we go to the vet especially since I cant stay with him now. I didnt get her name but the tech was so kind to him & actually got him to go back to see the vet without me. The tech was equally kind to me. It was so appreciated!
Not happy here. Vet had us surrender our dog. Past 4 days were able to reclaim &gather funds to take dog to another surgical center. Who priced surgery at 1/2 price for cytomony.thank god were happy again.
Im extremely satisfied with their service. Theyre very compassionate make sure and professional but the one thing that bothers me the most when I went there masks are not required. I was very uncomfortable I had my face I had a mask and a shield on and then when they put me in a room I just stayed there for an hour or so I did not want to be in the lobby with all those people which Eliza probably arent even vaccinated it really scared me I was going to walk out but I had an emergency with my cat and I couldnt. Meanwhile you have a big sign in the waiting room thats so Stage 5 can you see pictures with everybody but a mask on but yet you did not make people wear it. Just as dangerous especially when you get a lot of people like you do. I was very surprised and not in a good way! Listen to my dad
Had a question about my dog. And the young lady that answered was very professional and answered my question and even gave a little bit of advice. Dont have money to schedule a visit to my vet, so with her advice, my dog is doing a lot better. Hats off to you guys. 👍
Dr. Elizabeth L. Took great care of my fur baby. Im happy to say shes doing so much better and Im dealing with her new found medical problem. Thank you to all the staff who help.
The vet and the staff were very considerate and personal
Really impressed with their service (and incredibly grateful). Like most dog people, my pug is my four-legged child. They were quick, thorough, and just so loving to her-- AND very supportive and kind in explaining everything to me, too. I hope I never have to do an emergency vet visit again, but I would go out of my way to come back to this hospital. Thank you SO much.
My landlord and I brought his dog, Smiley, to this emergency vet on Sunday, February 21. We were warned that the wait might be several hours--understandable considering power blackouts and a still-raging pandemic--but Smiley was in great distress, and I had been to this animal hospital with friends and their ailing pets, so I knew that the staff and doctors were efficient, professional, and caring. Folks were waiting in their cars, and one of the staff came out immediately to look at Smiley and learn what we had observed. They then brought a stretcher out and took Smiley inside. Dr. Ohlen came out soon after that to explain that Smiley was hemorrhaging, a consequence of a tumor on his spleen. She explained that Smiley could die at any moment, and she wanted us to come inside. Smiley was an older (14-years-old, 70 lbs) dog, and we were not surprised by this diagnosis. Smiley had, the day before, been to my landlords primary vet who noted that Smiley was very anemic. And, for several days, Smiley had refused to eat. Smiley had to be euthanized, and Dr. Ohlen, an extraordinarily kind and articulate person, explained the procedure and its necessity. We are both extremely grateful for her compassion and her professional bearing throughout. Thank you.
We were referred here by another vet, Allure in New Braunfels, and if youre looking for emergency pet services and see this review DO NOT GO TO ALLURE. Go here first. They are awesome. We were sent here by Allure at 8PM on a Saturday for an unexpected surgery for our dog. When we arrived they were confused as their surgeons go home at 6PM. I dont know for sure, but I think they pulled some strings and got a surgeon to come in after they put their kiddo to bed. It had been almost 8 hours for us at ALLURE and we were done and our pup needed the surgery badly. They must have sensed that and went out of their way to get a surgeon there ASAP. He hasnt even had the surgery as I write this review, but they deserve every star just based on the hour we were there. Thank you in advance.
From the first time I called to all the follow up every single staff member has been so helpful. I want to give a huge shout out to Angela Lin she has been instrumental during this entire process. I am glad we took our dog here and have been impressed with the quality of service and staff. Thank you again for everything you do!
Had to come twice in two weeks for two separate kitties, and both times the staff were all amazing. Personable, empathetic, understanding, patient, etc. Reasonable cost, too - especially for critical and in-hospital care for several days. Thank you all!!!
This used to be a great, reliable emergency animal clinic, but our latest experience with the vet technicians inspired little confidence in the care delivered. Our past experiences were so much better. Im left wondering if there have been some changes in ownership or management as these attitudes and behaviors often start at the top.
Bad feeling about this place almost as soon as we sat down. Feeling reinforced by overhearing techs speak negatively about dogs and their owners, extremely over priced services, and a push for more services that were shown to be completely useless and unfounded after seeing our regular vet the next day. A breakdown of all the services and findings were supposed to be sent to out vet but they never were. Luckily we asked / demanded copies of everything before we left.
Even though the circumstances of being there were less than positive, the staff was very good and provided exceptional care and all available options. They provided multiple options explaining the pros/cons and plenty of explanation without providing and feeling of pressure to do one option over the other - just the facts, no fluff or guilt trips. They provided great care even though it was much busier than usual - it was Christmas and the parking lot was full. We did have to wait a bit because of their triage ratings they have in place, which is fair and understandable. So dont be a jackass and think your problem is worse than everyone elses. They are the professionals and are doing things the right way. It might be hard to have to wait a while but everyone else is in the same boat or have a worse situation that needs to be dealt with.I really cant say enough positive about the South location. Is it a bit expensive here? Yes. Do they provide great care? Absolutely. Would/will we be back again if we need care? Itll be out first call.
Thanks for letting me bring pup in to see if she had a micro chip. She didnt but yall were kind
I just called because my dog ate an Advil pill and his normal vet said its an emergency and to take him for treatment, and they laughed at me on the phone and told me it wasnt an emergency. Not the way to treat dog owners who are scared for the safety of their pets. Left me still feeling really worried and upset.
We had to take our fur baby in at 4:00 am. Even with Covid protocols in place, the staff was very efficient . Very friendly & took time to explain what was going on and answer questions. They took great care of Honey! I highly recommend them.
The first time we went there, it was fine. The second time, the tech basically told us that they were too busy and seemed to get angry with us because our dogs were stable. We left.
So I hear that you should not comment when you are emotional. I have waited 8 days since my 14 year old cat died. On 06-09-2021 one of the coolest cats in the world passed over. It happened quickly. Maybe with in 45 minutes of him being in distress he was dead. When I first noticed his terminal condition I loaded him up in the car and headed to this place. They helped me and my dog Jesse when he died back on 7-15-2012. Covid-19 precautions suck so bad. As soon as I pulled into a spot and parked I texted the number on the sign. Meow meow died as soon as I started to text. Thank God. No way was I going to not be there when he died. So just an f.y.i. be prepared if you have to put a pet down you wontbe allowed in. I miss the old days when people werent scared of everthing. Time to start living again.
I’m not sure if this place has gone under new management, but you are a mediocre establishment.Absurd waiting (get more staff), second rate attitude (get better training or get a better personality), and simply do better. Last couple times we had to be there you were essentially no help medically speaking, and the last couple of times you had us wait with a dog agonizing in pain for at least 2 hours to come back and say you can’t see him.I don’t care what your urgency protocols are, if you’re not competent enough to implement a better course of action and staff you need to go out of business or get bought out by a better group.
My husband and me had to take our dog there because she was spayed a couple days ago but it looked like the stitches were open. We get to this hospital and call to see if they can see our dog, they said to fill an application online, call back immediately for more details and let them know what parking spot we were and that someone would be outside to take the dog. We waited ONE HOUR in the car and no one came, so my husband called and they just told him that they didn’t know what parking space he was when my husband told them in the previous call where was our location. 15 minutes later, a woman (I guess she was a nurse) came in to check our dog and said that if she didn’t consider that the wound wasn’t a priority (the wound was bleeding and had a yellow/green color) we had to wait 4 hours in our car because there were more important dogs that needed their attention, this woman wasn’t nice at all, very rude with every answer that was given. We decided to leave and go to another place, please avoid this place if you can.
Always great service and friendly staff.
Unfortunately, we have had our dog and cat here in the past year for different emergencies. We had a long wait for the dog, but she made a full recovery. The cat was much quicker for service, but was during Covid, so a little harder to deal with. The cat also made a full recovery. The staff both times seemed very busy, but you can tell that they are doing their best. A few members of the staff could work on their bedside manner.
This is the only site Ive ever rated without actually being there I lost my 18 and a half year old dog 2 months ago and look at his face of this beautiful furry angel I need to go be blessed.
They saved our dogs life.
They put my 15 year old dog down because she had liver cancer and they were not very accommodating when our family was trying to say goodbye!!! It was a big deal for us to do it as a family and even with masks, they would only let 2 of us in at a time!
My cat was saved and well cared for a couple of years ago here. This time, another cat was dying of renal failure/cancer, and the doctor was great but the staff...not so much. I told them ahead of time I have 2 babies at home to feed but when I got there, they had me wait 1.5 hrs in my car before going in to say goodbye to to my dear friend before euthanasia. They didnt want him to die at home without an IV. The process felt rushed so I couldnt go through with it. So they wanted me out quick. I went home and called around to find a vet to help my pet cross over at home where its more peaceful. The hospital called and told me my cat took a turn for the worst and to come back in. They were doing CPR when I was one street away but when I got there they said he died while I was on the phone with them. Did they not continue CPR like I asked? This was not a pleasant experience. Then the staff forgot my carrier and didnt offer a receipt after charging my credit card.
Took my dog in the first time around 6:30pm and got told they wouldn’t see my dog because I didn’t get paid till an hour later, but failed to mention the first time that the wait was 6 hours so it wouldn’t have mattered anyways. So I come back after I get paid, we wait for about 20 mins before they come to even talk to us. They tell us and I quote that she’s “not a priority and that they’re putting her on the back burner.” The lady was being pretty condescending while speaking to us that whole time. Like she’s had the problem for three days, been in pain three days, I’d say that’s pretty important.Anyways we wait an hour and I made some calls, found another place that had not so bad of a wait, so we went up north and her symptoms were severe to them, she was taken in as high priority and turns out my baby had a spinal cord injury.Long story short, poor/rude service. If you need to go to an animal hospital go to Austin Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center instead of this place!
Absolutely the best place in Austin. We had a pet emergency late at night on a Sunday and immeditaly called Animal Hospital South. They took my call, walked me through what to do and how to get registered before we arrived. We arrived and had a bit of a wait. I checked in to see our status on the wait and the Vet herself came out and checked on our pup. She diagnosed the emergency as non-critical, no permanenant damage, and that he would have a speedy recovery. She then said we would be good to go home or wait (which would be another 5-6 hours). We left, and are so beyond grateful for Animal Hospital South checking on our pup and diagnosing his condition quickly and professionally. Highly, highly recommend.
Came to the office at 1:35 pm they took my puppy in.. we waited 1hr & 30 minutes no update.. I placed a call to them to know something about my puppy. Staff was very short..he is fine and resting ...Another 1:30 no one reached out to us.. I finally asked someone one she came back with he is resting & there are two other dogs in front of him. 1hr 30 min later finally the doctor called to tell me they need to run test but need to pay before they do.. 325.00 dlls. By this time it is 4:30... Was told lab should be 1 hr.. left came back @ 5:19pm placed a call to let them know I was in the parking lot.. I placed a call back at 6:10 p.m and was told the test was not done correctly they have to retest I have to wait another 45 minutes..I still dont know what is wrong with my puppy.. the staff I spoke to was like yeah sorry..... still sitting in the parking lot..This place is ridiculous... Never again.. will I come here..
After dropping several hundred dollars.Very rude tech trew my dog in my car when I proceeded to ask for instruction she didnt want to answer and said just read the instructions..there was a fluid patch on my dog again asked about it was short with a response SOOO RUDE this woman SHOULD NOT BE WORKING HERE.IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB GO DO SOMETHING ELSE. THIS WAS SHORT PETITE BRUNETTE. SOO MUCH ATTITUDE I WILL NO BE COMING BACK HERE. GO ELSMERESO EXPENSIVE AND TRAMATIC TO HAVE TO BE IN AN ANIMAL HOSPITAL TO HAVE THIS KIND OF TREATMENT IS UNACCEPTABLE
Was turned away because our dog didnt look like she was in enough pain! Was told to go to our regular vet even though her appointment wasnt until days later and it was an emergency. Thanks a lot! (^:
Sitting in the lobby for an hour after they took my dog in, then they brought me my dog & told me to wait for they dont know for how long!!!
I went here on Saturday morning at 3 am because my dog was panting hard and was whining in pain. The vet tech came out and I explained was going on. He seemed annoyed and said that if I wanted to wait it was at least 4 hours (there was only one car next to me) but by then my vet would be open so I could go see them instead of waiting. Wow... to drive over 30 minutes only to turn right back around. Never again will I try and see them.
They took very good care of my baby on the worst day of our lives.
They were pretty through with the issue of my dogs injury. I would say that they need better communication skills because they dont treat your pet until you make payment first. That is fine but I wasnt told this, and a dog bite ended up being a 3 hour visit.
Took my dog here after she hadnt eaten anything. For several days and was looking sickly, was told they needed to do several hundreds of dollars of testing with I payed for and they did, next they told me they thought it was a tick borne illness which the testing for was $4,500, long story short I took her to her regular vet who quickly diagnosed the proble to be kidney stones, my dog needed surgery fast, the vet removed several dime sized stones. My vet also said that if we didnt do the surgery when we did I would have lost my dog. So in the end if you want to save your pet and your wallet, go to a different vet. They would have let my dog die to do test that went even relivent to the issue my dog had and still billed me for thousands of dollars of useless test.
Long wait, (3 hours) for emergency services but they took care of my dog. Staff and vet very informative
Weve paid over $1000 to them and theyve not determend what is wrong with our dog. They want more money or we have to come get our dog. They dont care about our animals, they are just in it for the money. $1000 should cover the cost of all tests.
It is with such a heavy heart that I tell you Sarge our beloved Bulldog has passed. We made it to Temple Emergency and they were unable to save him. our lives will never be the same, he was our heart and soul, our day and night, the air we breathe. We are in such pain our tears flow like a rushing stream, he was my life, he made my heart smile and laugh, and love, I will not forget you SARGE, you will live in my heart to its last beat I MISS YOU SARGE SO MUCH !!!! SO VERY MUCH !!!!!!!! be careful have a safe trip I know god is waiting for you. Put in a good word for Mom and Dad. Thank you SO MUCH Dr Barns and the rest of the folks at the South Clinic !!!!---Bob and Rosa Mouser Waco Tx
Read the other 1 star reviews as I had a similar experience. Waited over an hour and half at 11 pm on a Wednesday night with no service after I checked in so I left. Parking lot was nearly full so hospital staff is clearly undermanned and overworked. The parking lot itself was redesigned with covers for cars, but the are too small and leave you little room to get out and ding your door. They closed their public bathrooms because of the pandemic so if you have to pee you will be wandering the area looking for a spot to go like everyone else. I have had a couple of good experiences with this place for emergency care over the past few years but clearly this is not the same business it used to be.
Friendly excellent comprehensive services. Awesome surgeons.
Pricy, like any emergency pet visit, but our dogs needs were met in a timely and respectful manner. Instructions are clear on their website and upon arrival. The staff was friendly and reassuring. Loved that all the information (discharge, invoice, exam, etc) was emailed to me, made communication that much easier.
Checked in at 8 pm on Saturday with our dog who was in a fight and has multiple puncture wounds. It is now 1 am on Sunday and he has yet to be seen by a doctor. The risk of infection increases with each passing hour, so yes, were worried. Weve been waiting for 5 hours now. After 3 hours with no communication, we called them and were told hed be seen next. Two more calls and 2 hours later, hes still next. All the while we are not allowed to leave the parking lot until he gets seen. What kind of service is this?!WERE LEAVING. 5 1/2 HOURS WAITING. OUR DOG WAS NOT SEEN BY THE VET. THEY OFFERED NO APOLOGIES, NO EMPATHY, NO RECOMMENDATIONS, NO CONCERN. THIS PLACE SUCKS.
Great in every way! They saved my dogs life
They are really busy and you get the sense that youre annoying them sometimes with your questions and wanting to talk things through. Everyone, especially the vets, should work on their communication skills. They explain whats happening in very technical terms and stop and wait for you to ask questions instead of explaining in technical terms then saying what that means for your pet (this rules this out, this means this is likely, if you chose this route these are the possible outcomes or ways we can go about it). Its just been a devastating and horrible experience made more difficult than it needed to be. I understand that they see pets get sick and die everyday but we, as owners, do not. 3 stars still, though bc I felt the level of care was sufficient and speedy and thorough.
Whenever a veterinary emergency strikes this place is at the top of our list for seeking out help. In person or over the phone they are top-notch!
Provided excellent care for Foxey. Thanks to everyone who contributed to her care. May God bless each and everyone.
Our youngest dog got into our oldests dogs medicine. Needless to say she had to spend 48hrs here. They were awesome with her and keeping us updated.
Had an emergency with one of my cats on a Saturday.Staff was so kind. The parking is tented for comfort while you wait.Corvid19 going on. They did an EXCELLENT job.My first experience. Had paperwork down. Everyone safe. Thank you Dr and staff!
Excellent Safety precautions for COVID-19. Wonderful caring people.
Caring covid safe courteous. My dog had an emergency and they diagnosed & cured him.Great hospital
Quite impressed with Emergency Animal Hospital. Had to take our pup in at midnight as he had been vomiting multiple times for an hour. Even the check in staff seemed to realize he had a cough and could be contagious, so we were led to a separate room where we waited for all the other steps. Be it the actual check in, the tech examination, or seeing the vet or checkout, it was quite speedy and they came to this room. Cost wise, it was a little over our normal vet bill, but not by too much, and pretty good considering it was midnight.
Professional, caring. Accessible location.
Apparently gave this place 5 stars a long time ago, but Im changing it to 2. Was recommended to come here by our regular vet. As I explained our issues to their vet she said, Why are you here? Why didnt you go to [regular vet]? Um, because they told me to come here? My cat needed an ultrasound and our regular vet doesnt do them. Thats why we were there. As I finished explaining I then got the remark, So what are you wanting? An ultrasound? Cos thats not gonna happen. Apparently they dont do them on the weekends, but surely there was a better way than that to tell an upset owner. The 2 nurses/techs we had were great, but then the front desk girl ruined our time here again. She was cold and after everything couldnt even make me the damn ultrasound appointment before I left even though both the vet and nurse said the front desk would.
Got my cats checked out & they were so awesome. They made sure to call to give clear instructions on where to park, to call when I got there & they came out to welcome me. I have 3 cats & they’re chubby boys & all together in their big carrier and they made sure enough staff came to be able to lift them and ensure they stayed comfy- given how awkward, yet needed trip rn route to their appt. they also made sure they got everything they needed. They called me and told me the prices before they went ahead with doing it. Also, the price was more than I was able to cover at the time so they just said to pay it off as I was able to.
I know five star reviews and I want to get overlooked because people might think they are bought. But I had one of the worst things imaginable happened as a dog owner and got the phone call but not one but both of my dogs got struck by big truck. I rushed to the first place I can get to which happened to be emergency animal hospital (south location) not knowing what to do I called the phone number when I got there but there was Wait for the callers and I didnt have time to wait for six ahead callers. I rushed to the door and instead of making me wait in my car they got people out and to me and my dogs within minutes of me being there. In one of my darkest hours they were there to take charge and help, they were quick and efficient and oh so caring. These people do not get enough credit for the job that they do because these people are truly angels on Earth. Im so glad they were able to tend to both my dogs!
If you’re pet has an emergency, don’t come here if there’s more than two cars in the parking lot. We waited four hours. They kept taking people that were allegedly critical. We still did not get our pet in.
Never bring a pet here. Screw this place and everyone here.
I was there in the worst possible circumstances and they were not only super nice and empathetic, but they were sensitive to our budget as well. These people sleep well at night. :-)
My dog ate grapes and we got him here and in within 1 hr. The Doctor and staff were great and all by phone. Highly recommend.
Of the 1 1/2 hours we were there, we saw the vet for maybe 7 minutes. We waited 17 minutes before anyone came to see us. The tech was in and out explaining and answering our questions. We had to ask the tech for the diagnosis. Everything was delegated to the tech.We were the only clients there! No one in the waiting room the whole time we were there. This is the only ER close to us.A warmer environment would be nice since clients are usually traumatizd
Everyone who helped me with my dog Foxey was very kind and caring. Kudos to all the employees and the Dr. Who helped Foxey with her breathing problems We need more people like you all.
Wonderful and caring staff. Took wonderful care of my dog.
Very sympathetic with my situation
My cat is always freaking out after a vet visit but they took great care of her and she was so calm when I got her back. The doctor also spent plenty of time answering my questions and trying to help me figure out ways to save money on medications
Had to wait quite a while, but that was because we had to go late on a Sunday. Parked outside, two nurses came and triaged the animals waiting. They gave an opinion and advice without charging saving me a wait.
Veterinary was very polite and answered all my questions i highly recommend this place.
Everyone working here is very helpful and nice. They treat your pet like a family member. Ive been taking mine to Dr. Ohlen for years and have never had any issues.
Come here if you want to spend 3 hours in the parking lot, watching countless people come and go with their dogs. They literally forgot I was outside, it wasn’t until I contacted them that they remembered and administered outpatient treatment! Terrible place to go for an emergency. Also, 500$ just for a stomach pump, opposed to the 2K they tried to charge me.
We appreciate you. Thank you for your kindness.
The vets, their assistants and front office people are very compassionate and spend time like all doctors used to really getting to know and evaluate their patients. I wish all vets were still like this. And people doctors for that matter. My kitty and I have been fighting to get him healthy for a month and a half and we both feel better after the visit.
Very rude and no help, really No star at all!!!
We have been to the emergency clinic SEVERAL times over the year. Dog eating raisins, injury from being attacked (he was ok), weird drooling... Theyve been great every time!
Overall a great place I recently had to put my dog down unfortunately, the staff was great in letting me have my last moments with my dog in peace and in a unbothered or rushed environment.
Very friendly, handled the covid precautions efficiently and helpfully as well
Savannah ruled w her assistance. Much love
Our dog was in pain and we waited over an hour and a half with no service. We went to a vet near and was able to be seen right away. Lousy service!
Fast, great service. Affordable
This is the areas largest and most capable all animal, any hour emergencyfacility. There is both an emergencyand regular veterinary clinic on site forease of long term treatment. As with all clinics if you have pet records available great. They do a lot of local referrals from other local veterinarians who can .not provide 24 care. One of the best features is the super visitation hourspermitted and encouraged with pet inextended stays. Their rates are in line with area costs and are within penniesof quoted figures provided.
The doctors, techs and staff are very nice and helpful. They didnt pressure me into unnecessary things/costs for my dog and took care of my dog with the utmost care. I have a primary vet, but I think that Id gladly come from Buda to have this as our vet.
Fantastic care and efficiency!
I went in about a month ago with my mom and my old dog Blackjack when he was seconds from death due to a failure in his stomach. She was shambling in tears slowly becoming a hot mess and the staff was very comforting and reassuring the whole time we were there. They were very respectful and helpful at that, offering us water and my mom tissues. Theyre very kind people and Im thankful that they were able to provide a very affectionate and heartfelt mourning process along with the procedure.
I have taken numerous pets here over the years. They are always kind and compassionate.
They took care of my baby girl Callie
Ive visiting this clinic twice for two different pets with different issues. I cant speak highly enough about how the staff, vets, and overall experience was so caring, thoughtful, and paid attention to cost as well as care. Great communication about what was needed, what might happen, and great follow up care via email. These people truly care about you and your pet. It was a refreshing and wonderful experience to be able to trust what you are getting is the best and not being oversold unnecessary products or treatments just for the clinics financial gain (something Ive had experience with elsewhere). I live really far from them, but this is where I will always go for pet services. Its worth the drive and the wait when you get there (they are obviously busy for a reason). Plus special thanks and appreciation for the single front desk person who was managing all of this alone because coworkers called in sick. She missed dinner and worked over 12 hours and yet was still friendly, kind, and easy to talk to about what was going on, despite how she was obviously tired and stressed. She managed all of that very professionally which speaks to her loyalty and integrity.
We took our badly injured parakeet here, the vet helped us as much as he could and he was very calm and sweet about it. Ultimately, we had Snow put to sleep and I want to say thank you for letting us stay with him while he was sedated. Thank you for realizing how devastating that was for an 11 year old and, being very empathetic about it. We appreciate the nice box he was secured in for his funeral and hopefully we dont have any more pets in dire straits but we know where to go. Thank you.
The staff is amazing! Our sweet 15 year old dog was not doing well and we walked in and they took him right away at 10pm. They checked us in quickly and we spoke with a vet within 15-20 minutes. We made the difficult decision to let him go and they were so kind, compassionate, caring, and really listened to us. We will always be grateful.
I had to take my moms dog here one night and the staff was great. They were busy but they got us in fast. The vet was very compassionate. We had to put her dog down and they let us be with her while they gave her the medicine so she wasnt alone. They even gave us options for cremation. About a week later we were able to pick up her ashes in a beautiful oak box. They even made a clay paw print with her paw and name as a momento.
Love this emergency pet hospital...thank you to the staff..
I was driving by this vet today, and thankful that I wasn’t in need of going there. I thank God this place is here, and that the wonderful vets and staff have helped us many times. They are great with animals and people during stressful emergency situations.
