This cardiac care for pets was very friendly and professional, from making the appointment through the end of tests. Care was taken to make sure that we understood the process and cost at every step. We got on the waiting list and were able to take our dog in very quickly. The doctor explained the results and emailed the written report.

The folks at CVCA gave me abundant and accurate information about what to expect, which I appreciated so much. They told me how much it would cost, how long it would take, how the transfer would happen, what they were looking for, why it was necessary. They told me where to park when I got there. When they gave my dog back to me, they told me how to care for him and what to expect in the coming hours and days and weeks. Having a sick dog is such an anxiety-inducing time, and everything that the incredible staff at the CVCA told me helped soothe my anxiety and made me feel confident that my dog and I were in good hands. Getting your dogs heart looked at is expensive, but the CVCA team didnt tack on additional fees, didnt raise the rates at the last minute, and talked with me about every charge before it happened, and I appreciate that transparency tremendously, in a moment where so much about my dogs health is uncertain. Im grateful to CVCA for their compassionate care and clear communication. Ive learned a lot about my dog through this process, and am hopeful that what CVCA taught me about my tiny dogs tiny heart will help him get the care he needs to live his happiest possible life.

There were very clear instructions from the staff and on the website about how to handle Covid issues. The staff member who came to get my dog was friendly and calm. The Cardiologist took the time to explain everything to me and told me to call if i thought of anything I’d forgotten to ask. It was a seamless experience that was not frightening like I anticipated. They were truly excellent.

The doctor talked to be me both before and after her tests and clearly explained his diagnosis and treatment plan. I had to drive 2 hours to take my cat to a heart specialist for evaluation. I was very apprehensive, but after my first visit was totally at ease. Dr. Bordelon was wonderful. I felt my cat was in excellent hands and the most important thing for me was the compassion shown from everyone I encountered . I feel confident that my cat will be treated with kindness and gentleness, which is priceless.

We took our dog in to investigate a heart arrhthmia, and were able to get an appointment quickly. The doctor examined our pet quickly but thoroughly and explained her findings and how to treat her going forward. It was quick and very satisfactory. I highly recommend them.

We love Dr. Bordelon. She knows all of our dogs updated info before we see her, thoroughly explains his new echo results and changes with new treatment plans. And she always gives me time to ask questions and anything I need clarification on. She personally communicates all information to me after the visit. I have been to other cardiologists that did not communicate with me personally and sent a tech out after an echo, which is awful when you have a pet with a heart condition that affects their life span.

This clinic is quick and efficient. It took longer to drive here from North Austin than it did to be seen and then have Cheddars plan of care discussed. Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly! I received a long email detailing the visit and all of his echocardiogram photos, which was awesome. I loved that they put our safety first and offer easy scheduling.

Dr. Bordelon, Beau, and the rest of the CVCA NW Austin crew are consistently professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. As Dr. Bordelon puts it, I have a spicy cat and theyre still great with him even when his patience has left the building! I trust them with my pet implicitly. Having a pet with a health concern serious enough to need regular trips to the cardiologist is stressful, so having that trust does so much for my peace of mind. Worth every penny.
