Wow this place is quick! Im used to these kind of services taking a while. I pulled up for an oil change and inspection and expected to leave my car and walk over to burger king while they did their thing. I never even got out of my truck. I think I was there less than 10 minutes (literally). The longest part was me trying to find my insurance card. Great service. Ill definitely be back.

As a woman I feel like I always have to be on the lookout for car shops that will take advantage of my not so savvy car knowledge. I dont have to worry about that with Kwik Kar, they are trustworthy and professional and treat you like family. On multiple occasions Ive needed to get a few things on my car fixed and rather than going forward with the fix Ive asked them what needed to be done and how to do it so I could take care of it myself to save money. Theyve never hesitated and patiently showed me what I needed to do so I could take care of it on my own. Not an ounce of greed or dishonesty here, Ill recommend them forever

My son added diesel instead of gas to his first brand new car…yes I know….well it was a stressful situation considering it also happened Saturday evening, however Kwik Kar were able to accept our car that evening to then take care of it first thing mo day morning. On Monday morning they called us to let us know the car was ready, they flushed out the diesel and whatever they had to do, they did a test drive to o double check it was all good, and that is it. They turned our stressful weekend to a very happy Monday. Thanks a lot for the good job and for saving our car!!!

Fastest oil change ever! They weren’t accepting drop offs because they said they were not entering the cars, which I assume is for covid and health related reasons. I really appreciate that they are taking covid seriously and taking care of their customers and employees. So I had to stay with my car while they changed the oil, and I was nervous that it would end up being a long process but no, they are true to their name! It was kwik, they were pretty much done before I even realized that they had started! Literally took about five minutes (I went in the morning when they weren’t too busy). Everyone was so professional and kind, I wish I had gotten the names of the three men who helped me so I could give them a personal shoutout. The employees were all so friendly with each other and with me and seemed to enjoy their jobs. It put me in a really good mood for the day. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Went to get auto registration renewal inspection. Last year got a warning about tinted windows. Was told if we got pulled over wed need a letter from doctor prescribing window tint, GOT letter. This year went and got one car done two weeks ago, similar warning. Went back today with different car a different guy would not pass car, same car that was passed last year there. Went to Whitlock down the street, over and done.What a pain, never go back for anything.

Nice waiting room. Did not check my windshield washer fluid two out of the last four times I was there. First time, I ran out a week later after using it twice. This time it was empty when I went in and they did not fill it. Guess you have to ask them to check fluid levels.

Just moved back to Texas and I needed to update my registration, so I came for an inspection. They were incredibly fast, friendly, and kind. I was having an off day and they joked around and made me feel very comfortable. They even advised me that if I do my registration online right now, with everything shut down, I wouldnt get it back for months.

After a routine oil change, my oil pan drain plug was not torqued properly and last month the plug backed out and self-ejected during my morning commute. I heard something, and immediately started looking at my gauges for oil pressure and coolant temp changes (not yet knowing what had happened). I quickly pulled over and parked, to see oil pouring out of my pan. After it stopped, I cleaned up the spill and inspected the female threads in the pan, which looked fine. I borrowed a friends truck to drive to O’Reillys and buy a replacement plug and oil, which I installed in a parking lot. WITH A LESS OBSERVANT DRIVER, THIS WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN A BLOWN ENGINE.When I called the garage to tell them to remind their technicians about the importance of properly torquing oil drain plugs, the response I heard was “thanks, I’ll remind the guys”. I saved them thousands of dollars in potential engine rebuild costs, yet got no offers of a refund, or other reparations. I didn’t request or demand a refund in any way, but rather provided them the opportunity to do the right thing. They chose not to take that opportunity.

I would avoid using this company for anything but state inspections. I took my truck there for an oil and filter change. I went in there with an open mind and hoped that they would provide great service because they are close to my home. The man working behind the desk seemed really put out that I was there. That was not a good start. I had to ask him three times to confirm what it was going to cost to replace the oil/filter. He seemed reluctant to confirm what it was going to cost. He gave me a price and it was not much more than the local dealer I frequent. I waited in the lobby while they worked on the truck. The lobby is clean and has free drinks. When the truck was ready they called me over and the price was 40% higher than what the other guy told me. I complained and they were really put out and tried to justify why their pricing was so much more than a dealer. They gave me a discount to honor the original quote but they were not happy. When I arrived home I read the invoice in more detail and noted that they had fitted an Oil Filter brand that I had never heard of. I went to the oil filter manufacturers web site to check that it was the right one fitted and I discovered that they had fitted the incorrect filter. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought that maybe it was just a paperwork issue and maybe they fitted the correct one. I went and checked my truck and sure enough, they had fitted the incorrect filter. I drove slowly back to them and told them to replace it with the right one. They tried to tell me that they experience this with customers all the time and the one they fitted is fine. I told them that if this oil filter was approved for my truck engine, the oil manufacturer would have stated that. They were really put out and went and quickly re-changed the oil and filter with the right spec. I have zero faith that they used the synthetic oil that I requested and I have no way of testing that. One of the guys will come out to talk to you before they finish your vehicle and try and up-sell things to you that you do not need. They did it to me and they did it to others while i was waiting. He stopped when I made him aware that I knew my trucks maintenance requirements and what he was telling me was incorrect. I will never go back there and they will never touch any of the 4 cars in our family. Avoid at all costs.

Not sure about the bad reviews here. I went in this morning (Saturday) for an oil change. I was out in 15-20 minutes. I’ve been here about 6 times in the past 2 years and I’ve had great experiences. Twice, I’ve had them check different things (brakes, front end) and was told everything was okay. There was no charge.

Convenient location. I go here to get my state inspection every year. They are pretty fast though I had an issue this last time. They serviced two people who came in after me before they serviced me and seemed to forget I was there until I reminded them.

Blake, Gus and the team at Kwik Kar are absolutely wonderful I could not recommend them more. theyve always treated me very fairly and gone way above what any other shop has ever done. I commend them for their work ethic and their devotion to their community.

Lady at the office/desk is very friendly. Several of the mechanics not so much... also, call ahead if youre going for an inspection, because their inspector leaves early sometimes and youll have wasted your time.

These guys are great. Ive only done inspections here as I do my own oil changes. However, from what Ive seen it seems like they do great work and would bring a car here if I was less inclined to do it myself.

Last weekend I had a trip planned to North Texas. I stopped by Kwik Kar for an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. The tech suggested I use the synthetic oil. Not really what I planned for. He suggested that it would better protect my engine. I went with his decision. my visit was less than 30 minutes. Staff was friendly and waiting room clean. Well, synthetic oil was the way to go. Traveling home at night on the Texas roads traveling 75mph I hit a tire that fell off the trailer in front of me. The tire took off the bottom of my engine, the exhaust and wedged under the rear axle. When I saw the car smoking I turned off the engine (no fire or injuries). The technician looking at the car today, having the synthetic oil probably saved the engine during the short time the engine was on. Thanks Kwik Kar I will be a return customer.

Horrible Customer Service. I service 5 of my vehicles at this location. Never again. The so called management is a joke. Steer clear from this buisness. Manager threatened me. Pushed me. Chased me outside & got in my face completely lost his cool. Over a $7.00 inspection. As Im leaving the manager threatened me again telling him to meet him at 6 when he gets off in front of the police. Unbelievable ghetto nonsense at this location. Not suitable for Dripping Springs

RUDE! Never will I go back to this place. The man owner hung up on me when questioning the inspection process. We have sent all of our trucks and cars to this location since they opened. Now we will never return. I did not bother to call back. They must have enough clients to not care and just hang up. PS I have also never reviewed good or bad with a company but I was called to share this information. No one is big enough to fail or treat people unkindly.

Kwik Kar gave me my 2020 truck inspection they were fast and efficient took it right in had it done no major problems with my truck and now Ive already ordered my tag and moving on down the road.

I’ve come here multiple times with both of our cars for about 6 times now and have always had great service and fast! Once I felt terrible since I forgot my wheel locks and they already had my car on the lift, but they were great about the situation. I even had to bring the staff some breakfast tacos for their generosity! When I come with the kids the kids’ room is always extremely clean and they always put a kids’ show on the tv.

The guys were quick and efficient with my Texas state car inspection. I would recommend them.

Took my truck in to get the oil changed...Stood at the counter for 10 minutes one guy was on his cell phone .... The other two in the shop working on a jeep could care less, never even acknowledge me.. Tring to find a new place to take my vehicles.... Will NEVER go back.... Guess they don’t want business... Most places Ive been leave your car smelling like cigarettes due to the number of smokers working around the vehicle.Have to say the service from start to finish was excellent, they even vacuum the interior of my car. The first two times I stopped in at this Kwik Kar no one came to the desk - I dont think anyone even knew I was there. But, due to their extremely convenient location and believing that threes the charm I tried once more and am very pleased to say that YES, its now my go-to for oil changes, inspections and whatever else my car needs. They even vacuumed the floor on my last visit. Good people, great service and I am happy to say there was a woman mechanic out working in the bays!

One star for clean bathroom.Zero stars for waiting an hour to tell me they wouldnt machine my brake disc...and they didnt even measure thickness to see if it was within spec. The discs just sat in the lobby the entire time.Having spent an abundant amount of time working in a shop, Im fully aware of when a rotor is too worn and needs to be measured...Kwik Kar simply didnt care to take 2 minutes to figure it out.I wouldnt trust this shop for anything.

Wonderful experience! Had an almost flat tire. They dont fix flats, so I asked to have my spare put on, but after they got the spare out, it would not inflate properly. The nice young man told me he would be worried about my safety if they used my spare, and suggested a tire place right down the road that could fix my tire today. They filled up my tire with air and was on my way. No charge for his service. Thank you again for taking such good care of me!!!

I had my alignment done here. The initial alignment was wrong, so they made it up for me by doing it for free even after I had messed with the rear alignment a bit due to a wheel bearing replacement I did on the rears. While I generally recommend people learn how to do work on their cars, for things like alignment where youd need a $40k equipment to do it, why not get it done here?I would willingly go back here for another alignment or an inspection. Otherwise, learn how to do basic repairs on your cars. Itll save you money, youll learn some new stuff, and its rewarding to drive a vehicle you fixed up yourself.

Bring your own lube, people! Ladies beware. Poor Kwik Kar must be hurting for money because I sent my mother-in-law to get an oil change for her 1997 Honda Civic with 300000 miles on it and she paid $191.00. The car has been there before but today they up-charged her $35 for synthetic oil. Then told her the power steering fluid had to be changed for $90 (cloudy, right). They sold her an air filter that I replaced 8 weeks and 300 miles ago because it was dirty. They took advantage of her because she is a hispanic, native Spanish speaker who knows nothing about cars. I realize that car service can be shady but this is a new level. Im sad that they would do this and if I give negative stars, I would.

Exceptional service provided, they washed all my windows, vacuumed my interior, aired my tires to the correct psi, they even topped off all my fluids, for no extra cost!! 😁 The waiting room is phenomenal to say the least,very comfy,and they even had a kids play room with toys and a collection of movies! This place is awesome.

I want to thank the wonderful guys at Kwik Kar, Dripping Springs for getting me in at the last minute before they closed today for my long overdue oil change. They were fast and courteous! Way to go beyond expectations!

I needed to get my car inspected & have a headlight bulb replaced. The weather was really nasty. The kid told me they could not to inspections that day but could replace my headlight. They were busy. He got me a quote immediately & was finished in less than time he told me. He was extremely polite & considerate. I would definitely return.

Really nice people, but very short staffed at the moment. They checked my tires and added air to them for free, but it took about 20 minutes. They have the facilities but not the people at the moment to use them all it seems. Looks new, clean, fresh, comfortable and popular/busy. I might have just hit them at a busy time, too.

Definitely better places to go in/near Dripping Springs. Had an oil change and the kid told me not go home and park in my driveway until I drove it for awhile. He said he spilled oil when changing the filter and sprayed it down but wasnt sure if he was able to clean out all the excess oil and I should let it burn off for a while before I parked it on concrete because it might look like it was leaking. I left a bit confused ...then it dawned on me when driving home ...HE DIDNT REMOVE THE SKIDPLATE AT ALL which is normal procedure for changing the filter. These guys are rookies at best!

**I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone** I went there to change oil on my car (2012 Santa Fe) and after 2 hour of oil change, my car started showing engine light and oil light warning. I went back and the guy in the shop said they may have put less viscous oil so he would change oil again to more viscous. after he changed the oil light came back again. I again went there to complain and they told me they will charge me $108 for diagnostic test. I told them I would not feel comfortable paying $108 for a problem that came immediately after the oil change by them. I spoke to the owner and he also insisted that I would pay for the diagnostic test. I refused to pay for the test and left the place without any solution. My attorney is dealing with the situation now but the fact they lost at least 10 of their customers (my friends and family) due to this. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Updated read below...Great service. My 12 year old car needed a lot of work and they took care of it all.Update: Since this every experience with them has been horrible. Pricing way too high got a second price from another shop that was half, not telling me there was a leak in my turbo, passing my car inspection year after year until this year and telling me my tint was too dark but it wasnt the previous three years???? I will never go back.

I was having shifting problems with my truck, sometimes the truck would slip out of gear and the rpms would shoot up. I took my truck to Kwik Kar and paid a diagnostic fee to have them tell me that my transfer case was causing the problem and it would cost $2000 to fix. Me not being a mechanic, let them do the work based on their knowledge. I picked up my truck a few days later and noticed I was still having the same issues, I took it back that morning and had them take another look, was then told my transmission may have be starting to have an issue, but I should be able to make it for awhile. I told them I didnt want to take the truck up north to have it break down, which it ultimately did. I had to get a tow to transmission shop and spend another $2500 to get that rebuilt. I took the transfer case (my original) to another shop and had them test it, to see if it actually needed to be replaced. They said it was fine and I have that in writing. Unless you want to have unnecessary repairs made your vehicle I would not recommend this Kwik Kar.

It was clean when I walked in. I’ll give them that. The receptionist at the front was working like crazy, took personal calls but would put the phone down if anyone came up to her or if anyone called in. We got our truck back and noticed a huge oil leak dripping down my driveway. It was so much that I had to get paper towels. My husband took it back in to fix it. Interestingly enough, several others said they had the same exact issue. Missing caps to huge leaks. This place really needs to train these guys. A trip was coming up and having a leak that big could have really caused major damage with the long drive ahead.

THIS PLACE TAKES ADVANTAGE OF WOMEN!!!!! I went there for a transmission fluid change and THEY DID NOT CHANGE THE FLUID, YET THEY CHARGED ME. The mechanic I took it to next took pics of the fluid and stated unequivocally that the FLUID WAS NOT CHANGED. BEWARE

If I could give this facility a Negative 5 stars I would. The manager was incredibly rude and condescending. He gave me specific time to pick up my car then did not call me until the end of business to inform me the parts where delayed. He had the audacity to get an attitude with me when I asked when I could expect it to be done he replied it will be done when its done. That is unacceptable. When I asked for the supervisor or owner he rudely replied I have already talked to them about your issues. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Brought my car here because I was disgruntled with a different service location. Im very impressed with their integrity and able to get things done in a timely manner.

Poor place to take vehicles for a safety inspection. I went in for an inspection and greeted by the owner with will ill over recent stop. They took a long time to fine tooth my truck and as expected refused to pass it for 1) i have a crack in the lens of my 3rd brake light (which is covered by a light bar). 2) it takes a couple clicks to turn on my high beams. 3rd light and high beams are not required by texas nor a hays county safety hazard! they didnt enter that into the computer to do me a favor, but in fact they didnt want thier name on it!

Update: We love this kwik kar location, they are always friendly and helpful and we actually experienced a small issue with our last service today that was purely accident and they handled it amazingly and made sure to make everything right. This is honestly a shop that you can trust and that you can know everyone has your best interests in mind. I cant recommend them highly enough!Great service from this local Kwik Kar. They are just as fast and affordable as most other Kwik Kar locations but this one stands out from the rest with their great service, free cold bottled water and hot Keurig coffee as well as a separate room for children with toys and a TV playing cartoons.

I just stopped in to get a state safety inspection after picking up my classic car from having some work done. It hadnt been on the road in over a year but a restoration shop had just been through it. After looking at it for a while they came and got me. They showed me that the wipers didnt work. They said they werent going to write it up or charge me.I left, mad that it hadnt passed, but happy with how they had handled it. It turned out the connection to the wiper switch wasnt properly seated. About 30 minutes later, I had it back in, they saw that the wipers worked, did the inspection paperwork and I was out of there, ready to get my car registration renewed.

Went to get an oil change and they told me that I needed my transmission fluid dipstick replaced because it was broken. After the work was completed, my truck had a bad exhaust leak that it didnt have beforehand. I took it back to get it repaired and they tried to charge me for parts and labor, even though it was their fault. Finally, after talking with who I assume is the manager, they only charged me for the parts, but somehow that came out to several hundred dollars.Also, Ive tried to get an inspection done here 4 times and been turned away every time because they are either too busy or the machine is down, depending on if you talk to the lady inside or the guys in the garage.If you just need an oil change, theyll get the job done and vacuum out your floor. But if you need anything else done, go somewhere else and save yourself the trouble.

Had a 30 minute oil change on a busy Saturday morning. The tech, Gus, told me straight what I should replace and what I could wait on (air filters, brake fluid, etc).

Con artists. They will drain your car and then hold it hostage until you agree to pay a higher price than quoted. Do not go to kwik kar.

Do not go here. They stripped out the threads on my oil pan. Now I have to buy a new oil pan thanks to their ineptness. Theyll also subject you to aggressive upsell stuff as some of these spots are prone to do.
