Took way too long. I dropped the car off at 8:40 for a tire rotation and oil change. My appointment was at 9 am. I came to pick it up at 11:10 and I waited until 11:50 before it was ready. I was late to an important lunch because I had assumed that it wouldn’t take more than 35 mins to do everything but I was very wrong. Ruined my whole day

If you need your car worked on go here, you will not regret it! All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The manager, Rob helped me while I was there and took great care of my car. He was prompt on giving me an estimate on how long it would take and cost to have my car fixed and called to update me. I didnt feel scammed like I have at the dealership and other shops. Rob was always available to answer any questions or concerns I had. I recommend taking your car to Lambs on S Lamar if you want good quality work and great service.

Lamb’s is the best automotive repair shop I have been to in Austin. First of all, they have the nicest workers and the customer service is on point. They even had someone give me a ride home instead of needing to use Uber. As for repairs; I have had tires replaced as well as car maintenance and they have always been able to take my car right away. The price was extremely fair for what I needed done and it was done properly and promptly. I would recommend Lamb’s if you are having any issues with your car.

Great Service last Friday fromLarry at Lamb’s on South Lamar. It was right before the holiday weekend and I couldn’t get anyone else to even answer the phone. Larry answered on the 2nd ring and told me to come on up. Very friendly greeting when I arrived. Timely evaluation of my tire which unfortunately was not repairable. They could not get the tire I needed and I planned to have one shipped there for installation but was unable to do that because of low stock EVERYWHERE. The only place I could find the tire was Sam’s so I had to keep it there to get the road hazard protection. I definitely will use Lamb’s in the future though because of the friendly service!

First time Ive used lambs. It was only for a state certification but you they were very friendly and helpful and appears to have done a good job. I will definitely try them for my next maintenance

I was initially told my Honda Accord compressor hose needed to be replaced and quoted $770 then the next day told that I would need a whole new compressor via the “Honda dealership” because after fixing said hose, another part in the compressor was causing malfunction and so the AC would not run consistently. Lambs quoted me a lower price than the “Honda dealership” which I don’t know if they ever called really and only tried to cover what they tried to fix originally and failed. My overall total was $1770 after a small discount. Pricing of original work plus new compressor work $1770! Ridiculous because also quoted $1900+2 stars because AC is working.

Terrible serviceBought new tires about two weeks ago and one of their incentives was free tire repair.Went in because my tire was quickly losing air and the refused service because they closed in 30 minutes and said the best the could do was put air in tire for me .This guy really expected me to drive on the high way with air running out of my tire.Luckily pep boys was open next door and took great care of me !Which the gentleman at lambs recommended I go to since he couldn’t help . Yes I’ll be purchasing my tires from pep boys to next time .Thank you for suggesting to take my business elsewhere.And for refusing to help someone who obviously couldn’t drive far when you had the equipment available to help.Update: no one has reached out to talk to me about this problem.

They were attentive and promptly took care of my replacement for broken sun visor.I would have appreciated it if they had tried to find a used one but they seemed to dismiss that as not worth the effort based on past experience. I was appalled by Toyota’s pricing.Downright greedy, but Lamb’s service was very good.

The guys at Lamb’s were great! I had to get a safety inspection in order to get my Texas plates. Afterwards, they even offered to swap out my plates for me. Very friendly. I’d trust them with future car maintenance items in the future!

They do a great job of explaining and providing options on parts or services you might need.I used to go to my dealership for service, until they gave me recommendations on services I needed, but didn’t add up. After doing some quick research on where I was at with my maintenance on my car, I called Lamb’s on S Lamar and they quoted me $600 less and told me I didn’t need two of the things my dealership recommended. Have been going to this location for the past 2 years and will continue to do so as long as I’m in Austin.

Excellent service. I needed my car to have a thorough inspection since I had driven it very little for a whole year. They did an excellent job, and the service person who checked me out on Saturday was the best one I have ever encountered at this Lambs. Unfortunately, I did not get her name.

I came to Lambs for an inspection, as inspections are required to be done annually in Texas. When I gave them my keys, they told me it would take an hour, hour and a half at most, and said they would call me when they were finished. An hour and 50 minutes passed by and I didnt get a call back, so I called them. Over the phone they explained that the one thing keeping my car from passing was a single torn wiper blade. I was skeptical of this, as I replaced the wiper blades a year ago, and told them so. They were adamant however, and asked for $19.99 to replace just ONE wiper blade. Thats a one-minute job, and they marked up the cost of the part by 500%. They also refused to bring the blade down to a fair price, explaining theres an AutoZone down the block that you can walk to, if you want to buy one yourself. After you return and install it, well need to redo the inspection again to see if you pass. Their tactic was clear: I would not be saving any money after all was said and done, as they would be making me wait again after I installed the fairly-priced blade myself. Reluctantly, I accepted their offer, on the condition that the car was ready in 10 minutes (by the time I returned to pick it up). When I arrived, they charged me for the inspection and the overpriced wiper blade, but the car was still not ready yet. Finally, after my key was returned, the car was parked out front.They lose one star because they were later than their own deadlines - twice - and didnt call me back to say theyd be running late. They lose another star for their ridiculous markup. They lose a third star because I am 98% sure they lied about the wiper blade being damaged, and then they lied that they were giving me a fair price for the replacement, because they knew I was unlikely to call their bluff while I didnt have a convenient mode of transportation available.Theyve lost me as a customer. I would not recommend Lambs to anyone else in the Austin area.

My husband and I were packing up the car to leave on a camping trip and as we were about to drive off, I spotted a huge nail sticking out of my tire. Terrible timing! It was late in the day on a Friday but I called Lambs and spoke to Allen, explained the situation, and despite being extremely busy he agreed to see me. In less than two hours, we had a replaced tire and were back on the road for our camping trip.Allen was amazing! Such great customer service! Im definitely a lifetime customer now.

Kudos to these guys for giving a s**t about the environment!.. I changed the oil and fuel filters in my diesel truck and went to 4 auto parts stores to try and have them recycle my oil... NONE of them would take it!... The City of Austin should have MULTIPLE facilities to recycle oil but they dont. They would rather you dump it down the gutter or on the side of the road!.... Lambs lets me bring my oil in and dump it in their oil recycle container. Really nice that they do that

Due to disability and pending knee surgery, the initial price was insane, BUT they will work with you. It took them about 5+ hours to diagnose which sensors were causing a lack of idling ability BUT they did find and rectified the issue after asking me what items I had replaced/cleaned on my own from a wheelchair, basically.One lady there got particularly WHINY over the time involved, Rob just offered to eat her bill, which shut her trap completely! So yeah, their ATTITUDE is more for positive feedback over exorbitant pricing BUT let it be known that Firestone/ASE shops have always been higher and anyone less then this would NOT have found the issue with my engine, the car would have been junked! NOPE, they kept at it cause like me, we LOVE a challenge.Theyll work with you and keep you informed during the process, but you have to ask questions! The other thing too is; If you dont know how to check your own oil or change a tail light bulb, I have no sympathy and you should be charged MORE just for being stupid! Later...

Jack was absolutely amazing and took the time to explain to me about my car’s tire sizes and broke down the tire grading system in terms I understood: shoes. He was absolutely amazing! Having a flat tire, in the rain, on a road trip from Dallas is frustrating, but Jack made it almost a fun learning experience. Would 100% recommend. Fair prices, quick turnaround time, and incredible staff.

I calling several places to get a low pressure tire checked out and no one could see me for several days. I called this location and spoke to a friendly service rep Jack who was like come in and I will take great care of you. I showed up and was immediately taken care of and I also experienced some of the best customer service I have had in a very long time! The shop was clean and everyone there was so helpful and friendly. I appreciate that mine and my vehicle safety was a concern for Jack. I have used this shop several times, they are fantastic. Great interaction, fairest pricing (I called around too), and no BS whatsoever. I have a Jeep wrangler and I wrench on it a lot but there are a few things I cant do myself. I had Lambs mount, balance and configure some 37-inch tires for me and it went really smoothly. Jacc was my service advisor and Austin was my tech--both did a fantastic job; youre in good hands with this team.

The guy who work on my vehicle was not honest 😡I needed an oil change and a tire rotation and I notice he didn’t rotate the tires, wen he was ask he said yes it was rotated, but I always check the tires before a go to the shops to make sure they do so.And on top of that he broke my remote control bottons previously glued, he press so hard on it and came out, he was told by Manager to glued back but did not work toomuch glue terrible Service. PD MANAGER was soi kind and said I won’t be charged for oil change becouse of what happens

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Lambs on S Lamar. I had an oil leak on a F-150 that I took to them to diagnose. They charged me ~$60 and came up with a long list of items that I needed to pay them to fix. I asked which was the actual cause of the leak - they told me it was the valve gaskets on the truck and quoted me a price for that job which seemed high. I called around and asked a couple other local shops what valve gaskets would cost for my model of F-150 and everyones price was approximately half of their quote. So, I paid them for the inspection and took the truck to another shop to be repaired. When I got to the next shop, they looked at the truck and told me the valve gaskets werent the problem - it was the rear main seal. They showed me under the truck and provided the attached pictures which it made it obvious it was, indeed, the real main seal that was leaking. When I called back Lambs to tell them the diagnosis they provided was inaccurate and that I had photos, they told me I would need to have the other license mechanic write a report showing their work was wrong before they would issue a refund. I ended up just disputing their charge on my credit card and writing this review. For many reasons, I would not go here again and dont recommend that anyone else does.

Everyone I met at Lamb’s was professional and very knowledgeable. I was immediately helped and they fixed my car same day. They explained everything on the free diagnosis so I could make an educated decision on what I wanted to have done. Everyone was extremely pleasant and it was actually a very present experience. I recently had my car battery die not too far from here and Austin and Zacc really helped me out today. Austin drove out to my location where my car had died to give me a jump start even though the shop was closing in 10 minutes, and both him and Zacc stayed an hour past close to get my car battery replaced. Doing anything related to car maintenance or repair usually sucks, but these guys made it really easy and the prices were fair. Theyve definitely earned a life long customer.

Usually a great place with friendly staff and amazing service. Today when i went in for my routine oil change as i paid for the service i asked the front desk employee if the technician had put air in my tire because my sensor was on. He stated they did as it comes standard with the service. When i got in my car the sensor was still on and my car indicated my tire was low and it gave me the PSI level. I drove it around the block to see if it was my sensor needing the car to be driven, however it did not turn off. I took it back to lambs and asked them to check the tire pressure again as my sensor was still on. After the front desk employee went to speak with the technician he stated they checked my tires and all was well, it must be the sensor.I then went to a gas station and put air in my tire and the sensor turned off. Needless to say, i am very disappointed with the lack of service and willingness to help.

This was my first time here and they were amazing. Bryan was helpful over the phone making the appointment and Jacc was extremely pleasant in person. They were quick and didn’t try to hustle me (which most auto places do to women walking in alone). I will definitely be back!

Gave them a call to see if they could patch a tire, Brian/Bryan told me no problem, come on down. Met with him when I arrived, everyone inside was wearing masks and I really appreciated it. Dropped off the car and got a call about 1.5 hours later. When I arrived Brian/Bryan said they were currently patching tires for free as part of a promotion so it didnt cost me anything. I will be returning in the future.

These guys are amazing! When I had a dead battery, I called Lambs and Jack showed up within ten minutes and got it jumped and started within 10 minutes. When the battery died a second time later that day, Jack showed up again within 10 minutes! After taking my car into Lambs to get the battery replaced, they quickly found something wrong with the electrical wires connected to the battery. They got everything fixed by early morning the next day. By far the best customer service Ive received from an automotive repair service. Incredibly friendly and quick with providing updates and repair status. Cant recommend these guys enough. Jack really went above and beyond with helping me out and getting my car back on the road. When Jack was busy helping other customers, Christian stepped in to provide stellar customer service as well. Definitely recommend Lambs!!
